Haruka's idealistic outlook on the world helps her see the better in people and most situations. She would gladly put the effort to highlight it, just so she can help. Hard work and passion are the two things that drive her to achieve her (ans sometimes someone else's) goals.

Haruka is kind-hearted and helpful to the point of being a doormat at times. She is more than willing to do big favours, just as long as she's able to reduce the other person's stress. The last thing that would reach her mind is the possibility that she's taken advantage of. Even if she someohw realizes it, Haruka is horrible at confrontations.

While her doormat trait might take a lot of her energy and time, she'll make sure not to fall behind on her studies, art and music because of it. She's a perfectionist that spends hours in studying, painting and playing the violin, until she's sure she won't make any mistakes. She can become a nervous wreck if her work still has flaws even when the deadline is near. At such times she'll deprave herself of sleep, which can lead to more disaster. She is often seen drinking coffee or energy drinks.

Haruka is an outgoing and friendly person, easily open to new aquaintances. It doesn't take her long before she warms up to people. She can behave motherly towards them, as she's often seen consoling and worrying about them. She's a good listener who would love to brighten your day.

★Partner Relationship★
Haruka cherishes Shintori as her friend, albeit with some bickering here and there. Seeing how intelligent he is, she hates to see the low marks he gets, so she would quickly take a bit of her time in order to help him. Haruka is highly enterntained by Shintori's acting and singing skills. She loves watching him show off his skills and adores accompaning him with her own violin music.
Haruka treats Shintori as a rebellious son on a regular basis. She notices his absence and often worries about where he goes and what he does. So far she decides to give him space and let him tell her whenever he wants to, but that won't last long. She thinks that at some point she should start asking him questions about that. However Haruka would wait for him first. She also often scolds him about his grades. She gets exceptionally happy once she gets him to study. Haruka can start lecturing him when he acts violent towards someone he sees harmful to her. Even in the rare moments where she sees his points, she never saw a good reason for violence.
On the flip side Haruka often feels Shin as her older brother, even if their age is the same. She gets easily annoyed at his jokes at her expence, but in times of desperation when she gets a 99 out of 100 points, or when she can't get that note or painting right, he's always there to console her. Despite everything, she appreciates that Shin is so protective of her. Especially when he turns out right about the person taking advantage of her.

So begins...

ImageIt was a beautiful day when the Aurem students said their last goodbye to their school, or what was left of it. As they loaded the last of their remaining possessions into the trucks, many tears fell. Some took solace in the fact that it wouldn’t be forever, in a few months they would be back in their home, but until then they would have to stay at a school far different then the one they knew.

With the last of boxes packed, the students clambered into the three limousines, beginning their procession towards their host school. The ride was mostly silent, the Aurae students tense with anticipation. The ride breezed by, as if it had only take a moment when it really took just under an hour. Just outside New York City, Metim made Aurae look like a dollhouse, easily ten times it's size. With a student body of almost three hundred, thirty more was no issue.

After a moments hesitation, the students stepped out onto their new campus. Promptly greeted by the headmistress and corralled into the dining hall for the welcoming feast. The loud chatter that had been happening between the already seated Metim students ceased immediately. Some of the students we're eager to mingle with the other school, however many clumped together. Not so happy with their current situations.

With a commanding tone, the headmistress of Metim began the feast. "Today two schools come together as one. For the next few months we will no longer be separate, rivals competing for better reputations. No, for now we are family. A team coming together to learn from one another, welcoming the students of Aurae into our home as we would hope the would us." With one fluid motion she whipped her glass of wine into the air. "To new friendships and the future between our two schools." The rest of the students matched her motion, clinking glasses with a few of their neighbors before digging into the extravagant meal.

ImageFor most of the car ride Kirsa had been tense, nose deep in a book that she could barely keep her mind on. She had never liked the vehicles, and it certainly didn't help that she was on her way to a place that would be nothing like the safe place she had spent the last two years. Her leg bobbed up and down uncontrollably, not bothering to stop the fidgeting if she had even notice. Anything that took her mind off of the deathtrap she was currently sitting was more than welcome. The ride felt as if it had dragged on for years to the girl, but soon enough they were pulling up the school's driveway.

Kirsa was the first to dash out of the car, gasping in the fresh air outside as if she were a swimmer who had just come back to the surface after staying underwater for a bit to long. For a moment she forgot to worry about the opinions of the headmistress or the others, however once she had finished relishing the open air, she shrunk back into the clump of students exiting the limousines. As the students were guided through the halls, Kirsa walked alongside her partner.

"What do you think the humans will be like?" She whispered to Karma. They didn't have all too much time to discuss this, as the double doors before them were flung open, exposing the large dining hall within. The hall shone a bright gold, covered in the delicate material throughout the room from picture frames to cutlery. Four of the room's three long tables were already filled with students, all of who had their eyes glued on the new students. The sight made the girl want to shrink back into the crowd and never be seen again.

The headmistress gestured for the students to take a seat, and while a few were called over by Metim students, Kirsa trailed along behind the mass of Aurae students, slipping onto the bench that ran along the empty table. There was already a blanket of things across the table, including a glass of a dark red liquid that looked like wine but had the scent of a sweet juice.

After the headmistress had finished her little speech, Kirsa mirrored the people around her. Lifting up the glass with an enthusiastic, "Cheers!" Who knows, maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.

"....."
Christopher Columbus wasn't even aware that he had discovered new lands, defending to his dying breath that he had found a shorter route to China. Why deny it man? Wouldn't one be like, totally more famous for finding new lands than some silly old route?

Shintori was sitting quietly, dull, exhausted, and icy blue orbs locked onto the history textbook before him. He had been nearly an hour late to this dinner party, one he would have skipped if a certain someone hadn't caught him in halls as he had to go back to his locker for his textbooks. Curse people and their need to use the restroom. A stifled turn of the page provided just enough noise to completely block out the entrance of the new students. Christopher's complete idiocy and stubbornness drowned out most of the Headmistress's speech, at least until one of the people sitting next to him jabbed him in the ribs to bring him back to reality. Whining and holding his ribs with one hand, he raised his glass with such a lack of enthusiasm that he got another jab. Scowling playfully at the fellow theatrics club member, he scooted away from them and down the bench closer to his dear friend, Haruka. Though at school he called her Abukara-chan. Despite being in America and knowing great English, he couldn't help but hold onto his Japanese roots and will seldom slip up into Japanese. Though surnames and suffixes he purposefully uses, most people think they're pretty cool.

With sore ribs and a loss of concentration, he closed his book and looked up and about him. One table over held the vast majority of the new students, though some of them chose to sit among the other students. He didn't deem new students anything special. After all, they're not any different than them, right? (WRONG.) So to Shintori, the event was a waste of time that he could have been using to study. He had a History, Math, and Social Sciences class to catch up on. Along with probably every other class he had. He let out a slightly defeated sigh, resting his chin into the palm of his hand. Two Aurae students had taken residence on the bench across from him. In fact, as far as he noticed, most if not all of them were in pairs. It struck him as odd, but he recalled hearing that Aurae was a super competitive school, so perhaps it's not all that strange.

Finally, he laid his eyes on the food that stretched out on the table. For the past week or so, Shintori has had no time to eat anything decent. His diet was mostly instant ramen, plain ham, or a packet of some sort of small snack.

"Thank you for the meaaaaaaaal.~" He said to no one in particular as he began to eat, glancing at Haruka to make sure she was digging in as well.

Honestly? During the speech and breakfast with the school merging together like the perfect students they were all suppose to be, Mell was getting ready. Hell she wasnt even out of bed yet and just staring at the wall and nothing at the same time, legs hanging off the bed. Her hair was in every direction along with her sleepwear somehow but her glasses had stayed miraculously in place during her eventful moving last night. She had never been a morning person, because who hates themselves enough to WANT to get up early and be all chipper? Everyone jokes about how Mell isnt actually awake until somewhere at the end of first period, but they arent quite wrong at that since she will fall asleep if not watched. She has proven that alarm clocks will in fact give up after one too many snoozes.

The rare times she gets up and goes to the dining halls usually ends up with some of her schoolmates betting on whether she will go face first into her food. And her being like this is all her fault 100% of the time with her never even TRYING to go to sleep at any appropriate time. Her "bed time" is right before dawn, when everyone else she plays games with online or talks to is also actually going to sleep as well. Last night was a mix of texting Neil about whatever it was and trying her hand at painting again although really horrible landscapes are about the best she can do. The paint always ends up more on her than on the canvas panel. Example being there is a bit of bright pink in her hair and a smudge of teal on her left cheek at this very moment.

The point is, she has no idea whats going on today. She probably wont notice it either, even with all the nice new faces that will be in her second year class. Can you blame her though? Its not like a person is suppose to know every single body in her whole year! Zack might notice, but paying attention to detail isnt her shtick and it isnt about to become a hobby of hers either. The other point is, she is about to be incredibly late. That detail she does notice when she finally sees her clock and promptly flails and falls out of bed with a loud "god damn it!" Detention is not on the to do list today, but it sure looks like she will be crossing it off anyways as she runs out of her room with her school bag. At least she can proudly say that she remembered to change out of her sleepwear into pants and a hoodie, its not like wearing a shirt is important when youve got one right?

Apollo couldn't stop the smile that took over his face as he gazed out the window of the limo. The window was half-down so the window blew through the boys short hair. Apollo was wearing his green headphones, music blaring out and completely blocking the sound of everything else, allowing the boy to become engulfed in his own world of blurry scenery and endless music.

Apollo wasn't gonna lie, he was really looking forward to the time they would spend at Metim. Unlike most of the other supernatural creatures which inhabited Aurea, Apollo was the only one with an age under 100. Apollo has also come from a human school before his guardian, Alec, had taken him to Aurea meaning that he was very used to the usual american high school. He was excited to be surrounded by teenagers his own age, teenagers with similar concerns to himself, things that the students of Aurea, students who have had many years more experience then he, do not concern themselves with.

As the car came to a stop, Apollo pulled his headphones to rest against his neck and looked over to his partner, grabbing his hand and giving it a squeeze. Apollo's excitement was palpable as he dragged Rune of the limo. "Come on Rune! This is going to be awesome. What do you think the Metim students will be like? I think they are going to be really cool. It'll be nice to hang out with people my own age.", Apollo teased as the pair wondered down the hallway towards a dining hall.

Upon entering the room, Apollo made his way and sat himself across from a bunch of Metim students. Directly in front of him, sat a blonde boy who appeared to be reading a book, and next to him was a pretty Brunette girl. Before Apollo had a chance to say a word, the headmistress was already making a speech. Glancing around him, Apollo quickly picked up a glass of red liquid and raised it along with the rest of the students.

Once that was done, Apollo turned his attention to the two students in front of him and offered a them a friend smile. "Hi, my name is Apollo and this is my partner Arune,", he pointed to the handsome gordon sitting next to him. "and we are Aurea students. So what are you reading?", He asked the blonde boy.

Upon seeing the school in all its glory, Zack's first thought was:

Yea Lords, this place is huge.

He'd heard about it from Neil and Mell, of course. But despite having thought of himself as prepared Zack still couldn't quite comprehend what he was seeing. His middle school had been a decently sized public school where everyone ate in the canteen or out in the field, or the classroom if they'd brought their own lunches. The students there weren't exactly millionaire-rich, and thus the mode of transport had been a variety of cars ranging from a sleek Jaguar to a beaten up old motorcycle to taking the bus, or in Zack's case walking the thirty minute route to the school entrance.

Metim High was at least twice the size of his old school and way more fancier. Here, there was actually a dining hall with long tables instead of just rounded tables were everyone could choose to seat. Here, people apparently rode limousines (seriously, who even rode limos to a school?!) on what seemed like a daily basis, if the group of limos entering the school were any judge. Zack gapped at the dining hall decked out in all its glory with what seemed like flabbergasted awe and horror, until someone nudged him playfully on the shoulder and knocked him out of his dumbfounded reverie and said smugly:

"Told you."

"No kidding. What is with this fancy place?! It looks like its been here since WW2." Zack whirled around to face his brother, remembering at the last second to keep his voice down. Resisting the urge to throw his hands up in the air, Zack settled for quirking his eyebrow at Neil instead, crossing his arms as Neil tilted his head with a broad smile that made it pretty obvious that he was enjoying Zack's confusion. "I know there are scholarships and all, but how'd we even get in here again?"

"There's a normal student's program," Neil said promptly. Grinning broadly as Zack rolled his eyes, Neil flung an arm comfortably, if a bit awkwardly around Zack's shoulders and steered him towards the nearest table so that they wouldn't block anyone's way. Zack followed along obediently. "Just because it looks fancy enough to seem like a mansion doesn't mean that only rich kids can enter, you know."

"Yeah, right. What about all those limousines then? And I'm fairly sure I saw a butler back in that car park. The carpark filled with ridiculously expensive ca-"

"Fine fine, quite a few of the students are richer than we could ever hope to be, Mr Grumps." Neil rolled his eyes at Zack's disbelieving look, letting out an exasperated huff. "The limousines were kind of a shocker, yeah, but different schools, Zack! Trust me, there are a lot of normal students here. This isn't a rich people's school like you think it is, you know." As if sensing Zack's discomfort, Neil hugged Zack closer with the arm circled around him, sending a soft smile his way. "I promise, you'll get used to it in no time if you let yourself. I did, after all!" he laughed, waving a hand out as if introducing an audience.

"Faster then you did anyway. Stop hugging me, you're suffocating." Zack drawled, ducking downwards and out of Neil's grip. Despite his gruff tone, there was no real heat to it, and Zack stayed close to Neil even after stepping out of Neil's way, a small shadow against the older boy's side.

Even now, Zack still wasn't good at showing his appreciation straightforwardly. Still, Neil knew what he meant (thank you, don't force yourself, don't worry) and the older brother laughed, slipping his hands into his pocket with a soft, affectionate smile on his face and a light spring to his step.

"Where's Mell?" Zack asked instead, coming to a stop near the wall. "I thought she'd be here too." He narrowed his eyes as a thought crossed his mind. "Is she late?"

"Probably." Neil stifled a large yawn. "Stayed up late last night with her talking about stuff, its probably from that." He shot Zack a wide grin. "I think she's still asleep. I'll send her a text - ah! Gotta go lil bro, its starting soon."

Zack batted at the hand Neil used to ruffle his hair, although there wasn't much effort behind it. "Don't touch the hair!" he said testily, but there was a quirk of a smile threatening to turn it upwards and his eyes were soft as he looked at Neil. "Go catch up with your friends, I'll just stay here and surf the net or something."

"Like it needs any more help in being messed up! And don't surf the net all the time! Make sure to make friends! Bye!"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Make sure not to fall asleep in class! Bye." As Neil moved out of sight, Zack gave a small grin to himself, feeling slightly more at ease. "Heh."

Grabbing a seat at the very edge of the table, Zack sat down and promptly pulled out his phone, surfing the net and ignoring his surroundings until the Headmistress began the feast.A temporary merging of Aurae and Metim? Guess Neil was right. Zack resisted the urge to ignore the whole speech to pull out his phone and search the net for the school, idly tapping the table instead. Heh, she probably took them in for the money - the whole school must be loaded if they could afford limousines for the kids instead of normal buses.

...Why limos?
Zack frowned as he hit upon a new question. Buses would be faster and less eye-attracting, and less expensive, although everyone would need to group together. What's going on here?

No time to think about that now, though. Filing the thought away for later, Zack lifted his own glass up like everybody else as the headmistress ended her speech, toasting the air sarcastically before digging in. Filling his plate with food, Zack stuffed his mouth with food to avoid conversation, his eyes flickering around to look for familiar faces. All around him, people were talking, and the noise washed over Zack soothingly. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Neil talking enthusiastically to a couple of other classmates.

Hmm. Mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon and some toast. Zack took a bite and swallowed.

Well, at least the food is good... But seriously, where is Mell?

With a stretched out huge smile and widened shiny eyes, Haruka was on the edge of her seat. She still couldn't believe Metim was about to temporary merge with an entire school. She couldn't wait to meet the newcomers and get to know them. Perhaps they'd need some time to get used to the new environment and learn which is where.
"They can always ask us for help!" she thought to herself. "Someone is lost, can't find their classroom, but class starts soon? Haruka will be there! Someone is hurt, but doesn't know where the nurse is? Haruka to the rescue!"
She was unaware of the strange and determined faces she made while thinking that.

Haruka went back to reality once the speech started. She listened to it with her whole heart and wiped a tear off her eye. She couldn't agree more. She raised her wine glass with such energy, a drop found its way out and ended up on the table.

"Shin! Don't be so fast! You might choke!" the girl whispered to her partner Shintori, before smiling at him. "I'm so glad you made it for the speech!" she said and affectionately rubbed his upper arm.

Haruka's attention was taken away by Apollo who introduced himself, along with his partner and tried to start a conversation with her and Shintori. She waved at them happily.
"Heeeyyyyy!" Haruka greeted them in a high pitched voice before turning her head towards Shin, waiting for his response about the book.

Haruka was totally into this, wasn't she?
Shintori mildly enjoyed her enthusiasm, drastically different from his disinterest. He scoffed over a mouthful of food at her chiding to slow down. He had to shut up his stomach somehow!

"Hi, my name is Apollo and this is my partner Arune," the stranger pointed to an equally handsome young man sitting next to him as he continued to speak. "And we are Aurea students. So what are you reading?"

"......." Swallowing his food after a moment of staring at the pair in utter awe and surprise, he cleared his throat and wiped his mouth clean. A brilliant, calm smile adorned his face, slightly embarrassed from having had to hesitate from having had food in his mouth. He hesitated for only a moment as Haruka shouted her reply. She was super pumped about this and that made him smile a bit more genuinely. "Ah, nice to you meet you Apollo-san and Arune-san. It's just a History text book-" He tapped the hard cover of the thick text book with his knuckle twice. "It's....Nothing all that interesting. I'm Shintori Marumasa, it's nice to meet you." He leaned back into his seat, patting Haruka on the shoulder. "And this little energetic princess is the lovely and fair Haruka Abukara. She's a friend of mine, I hope you treat her well.~" There was no hint of malice in his tone, but it was meant as a gentle warning. Though whether or not it would be noticed mattered little.

The other man, Apollo, had indicated that the man sitting next to him was his partner. One could take that many ways but Shintori's earlier thoughts on the matter came to mind. "You say partners, huh? So is that normal for you guys? All of the students transfer seem to stick together in pairs." Placing his elbows onto the table top, he interlaced his fingers to rest his chin on top of them. He was kind of interested in how the other school worked. Slightly. It seems to be a research binge coming on. He made a mental note to look up the Aurae Academy later.

Apollo smiled happily as the girl waved at him before offering up a greeting. She seemed to be a really chipper and friendly person. Apollo could already imagine himself getting on well with the girl over the next few months they were here at Metim. The blonde boy drew his attention as he offered up his own greeting with a pleasant smile. Upon hearing that the book the boy was reading was actually a history text book, Apollo's eyes dulled for a second. Apollo hated school, he was good at it, but he hated it all the same and was slightly worried that the boy was going to start sprouting history facts at him.

However, in the next few seconds, Apollo's fears were gone as the boy continued on to introduce himself as Shintori, and the 'little energetic princess' as Haruka. Apollo smiled happily at the pair, glad to finally have a set of names for the faces before him. The slight warning Shintori had given about Haruka was noted and disregarded. Apollo didn't plan to hurt the sweet girl so the warning was unnecessary, though he could appreciate the sentiment.

Apollo reached over and picked up the girl's hand and placed a kiss upon it, offering her a teasing smile when he looked back up to meet her eyes. "It is a pleasure to meet you Haruka-Hime.", he offered jokingly before turning his attention to Shintori and releasing Haruka's hand, "It is also a pleasure to meet you Shintori.".

After greeting the pair, Apollo momentarily turned his attention towards the food that had been placed on the table before him and began to start placing food on his plate while listening to Shintori. "You say partners, huh? So is that normal for you guys? All of the students transfer seem to stick together in pairs.", glancing up momentarily to meet the boys curious gaze, Apollo turned his attention back to his food.

"Ah well, because Aurea is such a small school, the teachers tend to pair us up so they can garentee that we at least have one friend... At least I think that's why they do it. Pretty weird huh?", He hated talking about Aurae because it always felt like he was lying, and he didn't like lying, especially to these nice people. He would of prefered in Rune had jumped in right about now, but it seemed the boy had withdrawn into himself and was content to listen to the conversation that was going on then actually engage with it himself.

While his partner, Apollo, seemed ever so excited about their moving over to this new school, Arunaida was far from it. It wasn’t like the demi-gorgon could do anything about it either though, as Apollon seemed to be too engulfed in his own world- he could even hear the beats that were blaring through the boy’s headphones. It was a wonder that his partner didn’t go deaf at all. Though, perhaps that was a wrong assumption, as the boy did like to space out and ignore plenty of things as if he had lost his hearing. Aruna had a completely unimpressed look to his own face, practically glaring out of his own window in a calm sort of manner. He was lost to his own angered thoughts during their drive. Metim was not his place to be in- it was unnatural and a complete sham. The amount of actual writing he would have to do already had his hands cramping, hands that were now clutched into annoyed fists.

How long had it been that they were driving? 120 years under his belt and this seemed like an eternity; he could only imagine the horrors of actually attending the school itself. Why was Apollo so excited about this? Well, that was a stupid question, he was always excited about things, it was something that Rune loved about him, but not in this case. Not when it came to having to compact himself into something that he was not- to play by rules he was never destined to be apt under in the first place. How could Aurae possibly expect someone like him- him and many others like him- to play by Metim’s rules? It would be hell on earth, that was for certain.

The limo pulled to a stop in front of a rather massive, ornate-looking building. Rune hardly got the time to actually look at it when he felt a hand suddenly snaking into his own and squeezing, flesh against flesh. It was Apollo; perhaps this wouldn’t entirely be hell. Arunaida smirked at the young boy, enjoying the excitement that shown on his face, even if he himself didn’t agree with it at all. Aruna suddenly found himself being tugged at by the smaller male, and he allowed himself to be dragged from the confines of the limo, the other chatting excitedly.

”What do you think the Metim students will be like? I think they are going to be really cool.” Arunaida quirked an eyebrow at his partner, an amused look to his face at the expense of how excited Apollon seemed to be. It was dropped in the next instance, however, when Rune shifted his gaze from the music lover back up to the building of Metim Academy. ”Boring as hell.” He responded dryly, watching as the rest of the Aurae students pooled out from the limousines to group together. Meanwhile, Rune didn’t move an inch, simply remaining lackluster beside his partner. However, at Apollo’s next comment, a playful frown quirked the corners of his lips down.

”It'll be nice to hang out with people my own age."

At this, a dramatically hurt expression filled Aruna’s face as he suddenly leaned forward, draping his arm over Apollo’s shoulder and diagonally across his torso, pulling the boy close to him with this grip. As Apollon’s back came to bump against Rune’s chest, a seamless smirk replaced all play from his face, and an interested expression prowled eagerly within his eyes, ”Mm, what’s this? Are you trying to tell me you’ve tired of me already? Am I too old for you?” A teasing smirk danced across his lips as he whispered this to Apollo. However, it seemed as almost as soon as they had touched, they were parted once more, Arunaida’s hands tucked into the pockets of his slacks and the gorgon following after the group of other Aurae students into the large building.

They walked down ornate hallways- visions of grandeur, nothing more he was certain. A ploy of wealth rather than history. Arunaida was liking this place less and less by the second. The human world could be so exasperating, and not even Apollo’s bright and cheery mood could lessen the effect of such. How were the others finding this place to be as well, he wondered? He could only imagine how many of them would be stifled, agitated, just as he was.

It seemed that they were funneled into a rather large dining hall, where, joy oh joy, there all the mortals were. Swiveling in their seats and staring, talking in hushed voices amongst themselves about the strangers who had just invaded upon their lives. Arunaida wasn’t happy about it either. He was just about to make a move to sit in the empty table far from the masses of humans where many of his kind were aggregating, when Apollon decided to swerve in the direct opposite direction. Aruna would have no choice but to follow after him- he cared far more for him than the others of Aurae, and certainly more than his lack of excitement over the Metim students. It really shouldn’t have been a surprise to him that Apollo would do exactly this, but Arunaida had been hoping against hope that maybe he wouldn’t want to go sit with so many others. Mingling was far too friendly for Aruna’s personality type, too welcoming when all he wanted to do was shun and estrange all others. But he was an obedient puppy when it came to Apollo- he’d go with him wherever he went, to the ends of the earth for all that it mattered to Rune. His attachment to this soul was still so strange a concept to him- he was a loner, after all. It only made Apollon’s appeal all the greater.

So, as Apollo settled in among other Metim students, Arunaida getting stared at and eyeballed as though he were a caged animal at the zoo, he made room for himself beside his partner without a sound. Arunaida was fairly uninterested in the people around him than the grand walls and architecture of the structure they were in. However, at the sound of a voice louder than the incessant waves of chatter around him, his focus was taken by the headmistress as she presented her speech. It sounded hollow to his ears. Rather than encouraging words, he heard only falsities and pride. They were not rivals by any stretch of the means- Aurae far exceeded that of Metim. No, they would never be family, no learning would be acquired of Aurae students by Metim- it was their job, after all, to keep themselves a secret. Arunaida almost laughed when he heard the headmistress speak of a flipped scenario, where Metim would be in Aurae. Oh what a surprise they would be faced with should that ever happen. The woman hastily brandished her glass of wine into the air to begin cheers, a welcoming of mead to form a friendship between two clans, and spoke of friendships and futures between the two schools. If Arunaida had anything to do with it, he, and many others beside him, would do their best to ensure that a ‘future’ between the schools would never occur. It was necessary for their survival, for peace.

Arunaida saw many, including his partner, raise their glasses to toast this sentiment. He did not. Nothing about this situation was sentimental, nothing about it was pleasant. It marked only the beginning of a mass solitude for him- he would not be allowed to be his self for the majority of the day. However, Aruna’s dark musings were broken when he heard the voice of his partner introducing them to two students that sat across the table from them. Rune tilted his gaze towards them, eyeing them over subtly and analyzing them. Third years. That was acceptable.

Rune made no move nor motion when Apollo pointed to him- no smiles, but no ill intent either. Just a blank expression with those entrapping eyes of his. He hadn’t touched his food nor his drink; to be honest, he really wasn’t hungry. He almost interjected when Apollo introduced him by a nickname, but found himself to be too unconcerned to do so, really. However, he did nearly wince at the loud, boisterous greeting they received from the female. He didn’t know if he liked her yet or not. Not that he had to. He didn’t want to be making any enemies either. She seemed nice enough, if not a little naïve. She’d be too easily taken advantage of by so many students, he noted. However, as the blonde spoke up, he turned his gaze from the girl to him. He greeted them with honorifics, which Rune had to admit that he was appreciative for. He introduced himself as Shintori, soon placing a hand on the girl beside him in a gesture that Aruna could only interpret as protective- after all, he did the same with Apollo. The boy’s words confirmed this thought when he spoke of her as his princess, a warning that would be hard for any creature of his lineage to miss made, which only amused him. An easy, cool grin of his own now shown- they were alike, and that was good. It would make getting along easier, especially since Haruka and Shin were of his year and he would no doubt be seeing much of them.

Apollo greeted the two of them, playfully taking Haruka’s hand to place a kiss upon it. Arunaida wasn’t too bothered by the display- Apollo was just being himself, after all. Aruna soon found Shintori’s gaze focused on him as the Metim kid asked about the Aurae’s rather obvious pairings. He shifted his own gaze from Apollo and Haruka to meet the blonde’s eyes, about to answer him when Apollo beat him to the punch, not that Rune minded. He sat back as his partner spoke then, looking over at the girl once more in a curious manner. She was a third year, but didn’t seem it- she was too young, or rather seemed to be since she was so energetic and blunt. At least that was what he had gathered so far. Hopefully she just wasn’t childish, that’d put a damper on things.

As Apollon gave a shaky explanation on how things worked, Arunaida simply leaned forward then on his elbows, looking straight at the two students across from him once more. ”You’ll find that many of us have somewhat
abrasive personalities, so it’s common to find polar opposites in these partnerships. It’s supposed to help round each student, or so they say. You wouldn’t think that it would work, but you’d be wickedly surprised.” The demi-gorgon offered up, strengthening Apollo’s suggestion without technically lying. He knew it would settle Apollo, since he knew that the boy hated to be something that he was not- that was something the two had in common, though in different shades. Apollo was true to his personality, while Rune preferred to be true to his inhuman side.

He still had not touched his food or drink. He shifted his arms so that he was propping his chin up by an elbow, a neutral though interested look to his features. ”So you two are third years as well, yeah?”

"Let's just hope one of these meat pies don't push their luck," Nukpana said, filling her plate with any meat she could find that was being served. She noticed, how could she not, the stares she was getting from the humans, or 'meat pies' as she often referred to them, but let it slide passed. She was focusing so much on trying to not kill anyone at the moment that anything else was barely even on her radar of things to care about.

Nukpana, as she aggressively ate the mound of food on her plate, did take in her surroundings a bit more. With her hunger distracted for the moment she was able to hold a clear head long enough to stare down the other students and get an assessment of them. She noticed that Apollon and Arunaida were sitting with the other students and seeming rather friendly, or at least Apollon was. He chatted, happy as ever with the blonde male and doe-eyed female humans across from him, she gathered that Arunaida was just playing along with his over friendly partner. Her eyes focused a male with spiky, dark hair that seemed as disarranged with everything as she was, though with a far less ravenous hunger.

For the most part these students seemed as comfortable and distracted by their environment as as the prey of prey. They hardly even considered what lurked among them on this day.

"See any fascinating specimens?" Nukpana asked her partner. Now that she had food in her stomach she could at least pass for a little while as a somewhat normal conversationalist, though she still would appreciate a distraction.

#, as written by Ky-Lin
Mell stood outside of the parking lot as she gave a loud yawn, attempting to scratch her head with her helmet on, and looked over at the scool still too tired to really care about the time and her almost being late. She rubbed an eye through the window with the end of her suit sleeve, thankfully the nice woman who lived next door to her had caught sight of her topless and turned her around to "put something on for Lord's sake!" Mells strides were slow, walking up the school steps after propping her motorcycle in its spot, helmet still tight on her head while she practically dragged her bag behind.

She could tell by the clamoring and the absence of student bodies that at least she hadnt quite missed breakfast juust yet and her body was awake to tell her that she BETTER go and eat something or she will be hearing about it all day. With a sigh that fogged up her helmets window she zombie walked her way to the banquet hall. Since the occurrence of her being late is nothing new, very few would have looked at the small creak of one of the doors opening and her appearing from them. Mells steps were very sure as she walked to her seat, or what was pretty much her seat since she was always at the same one, without needing to open her eyes.

When Mell got to the table she yawn again before holding a hand up to lightly ruffle Zacks hair, something she would do til she died whether he liked it or not. With a drop of her bag under the table she plopped down on her seat although it caused her to nearly sit in another persons lap before she actually made it to where she was trying to be. Facing the table she finally could eat something and her hand went to go for food, or it appeared that way, but instead scooted thing out of the area. This being a practiced art to her now she didnt even have to open her eyes once and soon her helmeted head had thumped on the table while she let out a loud groan. Her voice was muffled as she hoarsely complained "Why is the sun still alive?"
