Image
Age: 17

Race: Royal Full Fae

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Height: 5’8”

Weight: 110lbs

Other: Callista is a tall Fae creature that is easily spotted in a crowd with her crystaline eyes and icy blue hair that reaches down to her ankles. On school days she wears the classic uniform {Girl Uniform 1} and maybe a dab of mascara, although she doesn't really need it. On days where she doesn't need her uniform others will generally see her in a white halter top and a short cream miniskirt. It's really not that much different then what she has to where to school anyway. Her skin is Porcelain Ivory colored, and she has been told that her pure skin reflects on to her pure heart. Her medium sized chest and slim curves definitely don't hurt her when it comes to catching someone's attention, neither do her long and slim legs.

Image

Personality: Callista is what you would call the pure one. She has a good head on her shoulders and doesn't usually get in trouble. In fact, most of her time is spent getting others OUT of trouble. She hates it when she's forced to do stupid things, but sometimes she just wants to spend time with her friends and for fear of rejection, she gives in to peer pressure. Her parents talk to her like an adult because most of the time she does act like an adult...most of the time. There have been a few instances where her friends have gotten the better of her and she's been in some pretty nasty situations, or because of her constant want to help people, some take that to their advantage. Once upon a time Callista was a poor, young, innocent faerie, and unfortunately someone decided to use that against her. Now, she still gets in to trouble to protect her friends, but she doesn't trust as easily.

Callista is also very oblivious. Many a time has a boy confessed his love to her and she was completely caught off guard. She thought she was just being kind, but apparently they had thought she was making a move. Nothing has really changed in that category with her, and Callista still tends to be blindsided to common day crushes.

All in all, Callista Soul is a sweet faerie. She trusts easily, although a little less easily then before, and she uses her magic for good things. She has good friends who sometimes get her into trouble, and she's totally oblivious to the world around her and their {sometimes} devious plots.

Talents:
Magic || Singing || Dancing || Flying || Guitar

Likes:
Singing || Dancing || Magic || Kindness || Flying

Dislikes:
Bullies || Vampires || Demons || Anger || Death || Violence || Iron

[b]Powers/Abilities:

Callista is the faerie aligned with the moon.

She has the ability to create what she calls a Lunar Shield around her that protects herself and anyone she chooses from harm. She also has the ability to project some of the moon's light through herself into another as a source of healing. She can heal almost any injury. The only injuries she cannot heal are those created by Iron {since that is her weakness as well} and those created by a Vampire. Among those abilities, she can also make herself disappear and reappear like any other faerie. Callista is also quite exceptional at flying, creating wings of a sort out of moonlight and soaring through the sky. Her powers are weakest during the day and strongest at night, especially on a Full Moon. On nights where there is a New Moon, she has little to no power at all. Same as during the day when she is weaker and sometimes more susceptible to trickery.

Flaws:
Too trusting || Sometimes too innocent || Easily heartbroken

Romantic interest:
None as of yet…

History: Callista hasn’t had a lot happen in her life, except for some drama back in freshman year. Callista's class had a new girl in it. A vampire. No one really likes vampires except for other vampires, and this new girl was the only one. Callista, being Callista, decided to befriend the new girl. Her other friends warned her against it but she felt bad. And the new girl didn't seem all that bad. She was actually really night. Then, on the night of the new moon, when Callista is always quite weak and sick, this new girl took it to her advantage. She placed iron chains around Callista's room to even further immobilize her, and proceeded to attempt to drink from Callista. Callista tried to fight back, but she was easily overpowered in her weak state. The girl had only gotten a few good gulps before Callista's friends burst in and saved her. Since then, Callista has stayed within her group of friends, and only befriended others when she felt certain it was safe.

As for her family life, Callista was conceived by King Byan and Clarise Soul. Her mother was from a neighboring kingdom, and didn't want Callista. When given the decision to live in the Byan Palace or some out of town village with a mother who clearly had no taste for her, she chose the palace. Callista took her mother's name simply because she liked it better and it was custom for the girls to take the maternal name anyway. The king had fourteen other children, and only one of them was Callista's age. Callista knew Tulio and they had gotten along alright, but he was a mischevious brother. He always tricked her into doing stupid stunts and getting her hurt or in trouble. But she grew up with him, so she had to tolerate him. When he left to live with his paternal uncle, she wasn't exactly heartbroken, but she wasn't overjoyed either. Soon after Tulio left, another child was made known by the name of Carmen Whisp. Carmen was easy to get along with and although Callista was three years her senior, she was kind to her and now it seemed they would be roomates in the school. Tulio was also coming back, and to be honest, Callista had no idea what was in store for her messed up family.

Growing up in the palace was kind of a breeze, considering she was one of the many faerie princesses. She had nice dresses to wear and exceptional magical training, so she couldn't really ask for more. She didn't really have a strong relationship with her father considering he was always busy being king of the fae and all. But they talked, and he discussed going to the academy and she agreed. After her situation with the vampire girl, he blew up at the school board for their lack of safety precautions and pulled her from school for almost half a year. She remained in contact with her friends quite steadily, and soon her father let up a little and realized that there was no way for the school to have known. He allowed her to go back and she continued her friendships as if nothing had happened.

Clubs/Teams they're a part of:
Music Club, Dance Club

Thoughts/Relationships with other characters:
Callista is very open with her friends, and she loves being friends with a lot of people. Since the incident freshman year she usually only stays within her inner circle, but sometimes if another is truly in need of a friend, Callista will be there.

So begins...

Callista checked her phone excitedly, seeing that it was finally time to go. She was actually allowed back at school now. After the incident with that vampire, her father, King Byan, had pulled her out for her safety, but now she was being allowed to go back. Hearing a knock on her door, she looked up. "Come in!" The door opened and in walked her father in his medieval garb. He always had to dress like that to keep up appearances but Callista was usually allowed to wear what she wanted. She just favored skirts. Today she was dressed in a white halter top and tan miniskirt, her usual out of school outfit. She would put on her uniform when classes began but she felt no obligation to do so now.

"Are you sure you feel okay going back? You don't have to. You can wait another year." Her father asked her cautioningly. She smiled and shook her head. Her father had always been more endearing towards her, not simply because she was one of the oldest and most well-behaved, but because she was the only one who didn't have a mother. "No, I'm ready. Don't forget it was you who pulled me out in the first place." He frowned and shrugged. "I suppose. Well, you better gather your things. Krysta will be here in a moment to take you to the school." He got up then and kissed her head lovingly before exiting the room. Smiling and giving a little leap of glee, she picked up her suitcase and prepared to leave.

It was daytime and she wasn't in her best shape since she was the faerie of the moon, but she was still energized enough to actively engage in school. It was during the New Moon where she couldn't even function, as the vampire girl had discovered way back when. Callista shuddered and forced the memory from her mind. She would never forget, but she could move on.

Once she arrived at the school, she took in it's familiar setting and landscapes. Checking her schedule, she saw she was in room 109 with her other half-sister Carmon Whisp. She hadn't seen Carmon that morning, and she didn't really know her well, but she was happy to room with a family member. Looking around, she saw her half-brother, Tulio, sitting in the garden and she got an excited feeling in her chest. She hadn't seen him in six years and although he had terrorized her, they were still the same age and had grown up together.

"Tulio!" She called out with a wave. She ran over to him and quickly hugged him in her normally exuberant manner, although not as exuberant as she would be at night of course. "How have you been? Gosh, I haven't seen you in forever!" She hugged him again, eager to catch up with her long lost half brother.

Tulio Byan

Tulio had been at the school for quite some time. He'd already put his things into his room (Room 120) and organized things just how he liked it. He never bothered to stay and wait for any other room mates to show up. He'd see them at some point in time. He knew their names (Damon and Rin) but he just held no interest in knowing them just yet.

He already missed his uncle. He'd left just over an hour ago, but that didn't make him miss the man any less. He was the only relative he'd had contact with in the past six years that he'd been away from his family. His father was kind of a prick to him, he he barely remembered his brothers and sisters, and who knew where his mother was. Yes, his uncle was the only family member he actually liked.

As if on cue, Tulio heard someone shout his name and run over to him. "How have you been? Gosh, I haven't seen you in forever!" He heard the girl say while hugging him. Prying the girl off of his being, he snarled but quickly but on a fake smile. He highly doubted the girl could read past his fake smile, since most people never could. And she wasn't close to him, so there was an even less likely chance.
"I may not know who you are... But I think it's safe to assume your a sister of mine yes?" He asked, dusting himself off.

Carmon stares at the school, which her parents were forcing her to attend. With a small groan of irritation, she walks forward, dragging behind her a suitcase, which held her luggage. She already had planned out what she was going to do---what she did at every school she attended. Avoid everyone, at all costs. Bullied? Deal with it.
Carmon pulled out a wrinkled piece of paper out of her pocket, and grumbled to herself,
"R-Room 109. Looks like I'll be with one of my h-half-siblings, Callista..."
She headed towards the girls dormitory, still with a small frown on her face. Unlocking the door, she steps in, and spots two beds.
Carmon heads over to the one on the far side of the bedroom, and throws her luggage on to the bed.
"Brace yourself, Carmon, for another year of pain. Maybe if I weren't a f-freshman..."
She trails off, and plops down on the bed.

"I may not know who you are... But I think it's safe to assume your a sister of mine yes?" She nodded. "Yep, we're the same age. But we're not twins, don't worry! I'm your half sister, with a different mother. I suppose it's good that you don't remember me...you tended to tease me quite a bit. But now we can have a fresh start! My name's Callista, but you can call my Calli if you want." She smiled and took in his grown-up features. He hadn't changed much in looks, besides gaining a more rugged style like most boys did as they grew. He was tall, as was she. It seemed to be the only trait they shared. She knew she took after her mother, or at least that's what father said, and Tulio obviously took after the paternal side of his family.

"So! How have you been? Did you like living with your uncle? Have you joined any clubs yet? What classes are you taking?" She knew she was rambling but in all honesty, even if he didn't remember her, she had really missed having him around.

'Does this girl breath!?' Tulio wondered, 'Because it certainly doesn't seem it.'

Callista... Callista... He knew that name. *Lightbulb* Oh he knew that name. "Cal!" He said, reviving his old nickname for her, "I remember you now. I glued you to the toilet seat when we were 10."
This girl was one of his main tormenties. She was just so easy to spook and prank!

Realizing he'd never answered any of her questions he gave the briefest of answers he could. "I've been fine. Yes I enjoyed living with him. Yes I have joined two clubs. And quite frankly, I don't remember."

Once Carmon had gotten settled in, she figured she would go and look around, perhaps make short cuts to classes, etc.
She hadn't put on her uniform, put who cares? It's not like it mattered. At the moment, at least. Instead, she was wearing a pair of dark blue jeans, and a plain white t-shirt. Her shoes were some worn out, black sneakers.
Carmon walked out to the garden, and looked around. She had spotted Callista pretty quick. She was talking to some boy, and Carmon couldn't help but have a bad feeling about her new roomie---She could hear her ramble on from a mile away.

Callista Soul

"Cal! I remember you now. I glued you to the toilet seat when we were 10." Calli shrugged. "Of course that's what you would remember." She smiled and shook her head. It was true that Tulio had been her key tormenter when they lived in the palace together, but if anyone else had tried to mess with her he would never let them. So, he had been menacing, yes. But he had also been a really good brother to her, and she had to appreciate that.

"I've been fine. Yes I enjoyed living with him. Yes I have joined two clubs. And quite frankly, I don't remember." Calli looked up eagerly. "Ooh, which clubs? I'm in music and dance. Did you miss living at the palace at all? Things got really quiet after you left, at least until last year when father pulled me out of school, but we still missed having you around. At least I did. Father never really mentioned you much, but I always asked."

"Uh... Music and cooking club. And father would have never spoken about someone he got rid of. He didn't like me, and I don't like him. So no. I don't miss living there where you always have to act your best and pretend your life is to serve someone." Tulio replied. He got the feeling that he'd see a lot of this girl even if he didn't wish it. But he did have to admit, it was an interesting change from how people usually acted around him.

Even though Calli knew she could be a little...exuberant...she still really liked catching up with Tulio and was glad that they were in the same club. She just hoped he wouldn't get sick of her. I mean, they were siblings after all.

"I mean, yeah I did have to act my best but it wasn't hard, but what do you mean "pretend your life is to serve someone else?" That doesn't seem like Father at all. And I still don't understand why he sent you away. You were his pureblooded son, not a half-child like the rest of us are. I'm just lucky my mother was a faerie as well or I would have been a halfling. Those things kind of scare me, to be honest."

"He sounds like the man I knew." Tulio stated placing a hand on his hip, cocking it slightly.

"And he sent me away because I was a pest and he didn't want to deal with me anymore. And you do know he's obligated to keep his half children right? That way it doesn't looks as if he's just banging them and dumping them. He has a n image to keep up. He was able to get rid of me because everyone saw me as a pest." Tulio explained. He didn't have the best view on his family. More his father if anything. In his eyes, his father was a terrible man who cared only for himself.

At this statement Calli felt her anger starting to boil. "Now, hold on a minute! Father isn't OBLIGATED to keep his half children. He gave me a clear choice on who I would rather live with and I chose him because he at least gave a shit about me! He has been constantly kind a true father to me. You were gone for six years! You don't know ANYTHING about him or about the kind of man he is!" She paused quickly for a breath and looked at Tulio. How dare he call their father anything less than honorary. "When I got hurt he was always there for me! He stayed by my side and our sisters and brothers as well! When I got hurt last year he made sure it was absolutely safe for me and Carmon to come back and you know he wouldn't have sent you here if he didn't think it was safe. why do you think you're starting here as a senior instead of starting as a freshman like the rest of us, huh? Because he knew the school had upped it's safety requirements and it was made safe for us. If anything, he cared for you more because he's only sending you here now. How DARE you say such terrible things about him?" She knew she had just spoke about a thousand words a minute but she didn't care. She was angry. Her father had been great to her, and Tulio had no right to say such horrible things about him.

Tulio let the girl get over with her rant before he broke out laughing, "I did start here as a freshmen. And like you said, I have been gone for six years. Six years of never hearing a peep out of him until he decided to rip me away from the only family I like and accept. He forced me to come to this school and I'm only still here because that way I'll still get to see my uncle over the summer."

Giving his sister an angry smile he continued, "And you should have assumed I would not like him much. Why else do you think you've never heard a peep from me or a word from him about me? Everyone else got that I was supposed to be ignored and avoided except you. He did not want me there, and I did not want to be there. He may have been amazing to you, but not to me.

Now, if you'll excuse me."
And with that, he started to take his leave.

Tulio huffed, "Yeah. Fine. Whatever."
He wasn't in the best mood to begin with, but the presence of his sister was making it slightly a bit worse. Not only had his mind started to wander to his father (which always put him in a bad mood) but he couldn't figure out why this girl was so persistent. You would have thought she would have given up and run away by now.

Tulio wasn't one for this fluffy bunny crap. He understood that she wanted to reconnect to her big brother, but you would think she catch on that he wasn't the nicest guy in the world. Everyone else did. Hell, he glued her ass to a toilet! Wouldn't any other sane person remember that? He'd be out for revenge if someone did that to him.

"Okay. Good." Callista said, letting go of his wrist. She rocked on her heels and blew out a breath. The silence was quickly turning awkward. "So...who are you rooming with? I'm rooming with Carmon, our half-sister. If you had a hard time remembering me then you definitely won't remember her. She doesn't really talk, so I guess you two should get along just fine if you ever do meet." She rambled again, it was becoming a habit. Tulio and her had always just had an easy conversation habit. He would torment her, she would yell at him, he would laugh, and they would go their separate ways. But, now they had both grown up without each other and they were completely different people. Calli just wanted her older brother back.

"Well. I guess I'll see you around, Tulio. Especially in Music Club. Who knows? We might even have some classes together." She beamed at him and reached out, hugging him again. She had always been a hugger. Taking her suitcase and waving goodbye, she went in the opposite direction towards the girls dorms. Pulling out her cell phone, she sifted through her contacts till she came to one of her friends that she had managed to keep in contact with.

[To: Blu Moon]
[Hey, girl! Where are you? Can we talk?]

Even though Blu was a werewolf, Calli had never been prejudiced to species. She liked Blu for her gentle personality and all-over great friendship skills. Blu had indeed been one of the ones to help rescue Calli from her dorm room last year, and Calli had made a point to not lost contact with her. Hoping Blu would respond soon, Calli headed off to room 109.

Warm golden eyes fluttered open and scanned the room. Plain, dull, and lifeless is what she sees, very unlike her own room. The plain whiteness of the walls are almost sickening to her stomach, and the decorations aren't any better. But this wasn't the teen's colorful room, it was a guest bedroom, a guest bedroom in the house of one of her aunts, who had happened to live in Japan. Why was Blu in a guest bedroom in the house of her aunt who lived in Japan? She was to attend a special school for supernaturals as herself, she being a werewolf of royal blood. Blu wasn't sure why her parents wanted her to attend the school yet again, as she already knew what she was and where she came from. But her parents were complicated, she didn't waste her time asking them.

Blu sat up and yawned, wrestling her self out of the bed sheets and into to the bathroom to perform her daily rituals. Once they were out of the way, she quickly slipped on her uniform. She had picked the one with the bow well because, she simply liked cutesy things like that. The delicious aroma of buttermilk waffles drizzeled with honey and an omelette stuffed with cheese, sour cream, and various types of peppers waffted to her nose. The teen sighed in anticipation. Oh how she loved food, a day without the God-sent would only result in her death. Smiling goofily, she grabbed her luggage and headed downstairs.

"Alright Blu, you have a wonderful time okay? You sure you didn't leave anything?" Blu's aunt called from the car.
"I will auntie, and I'm sure I didn't leave anything." Blu smiled as she waved at her. "Bye!"
"Bye sweetie."
And with that, her aunt was gone. And so was the teen's smile.

She turned back around and faced the school. It was big, really big, and she smelled all sorts of creatures. Faes, werewolves, vampires (Which she slightly wrinkled her nose upon smelling but soon felt bad for doing so), witches, and demons. Hopefully she would have a good year.

Suddenly, she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. She frowned and dropped her five hefty bags of luggage, causing dirt to go flying everywhere. The teen took out her phone and smiled. She had gotten a text from her bestfriend Callitsa.

[To: Callista Soul]
[Hey Calli! I'm at the front of the school looking like a lost puppy. And sure, where do you want to meet up?]

She replied. Blu put her phone away and began to look at her surroundings. There were several people conversating and whatnot. She felt like such a new student, she didn't know anyone but Callista. But of course, it's all her fault she wanted to be a loner last year. She began to nibble on her bottom lip, bit soon stopped as she drew blood. The teen had forgotten how sharp her teeth were. She darted her tongue out and quickly licked up the blood, looking around to see if anyone had smelled it.

Grabbing the straps of her luggage, she avoided eye-contact with people and looked straight ahead, venturing toward her dorm room.

Callista arrived in her room and saw that Carmon had already placed her bags on the farthest bed. Callista sighed. She didn't know anything of her younger sister. Even at the palace she had barely uttered a word. Calli plopped down on the bed adjasent to hers and looked out the window at her new but familiar surroundings. The walls of the room were an unfavorable cream color and the comforters were the same. "This room could seriously use some updates." Feeling her phone buzz she pulled it out and smiled at the text from Blu.

[To: Blu Moon]
[Don't move! I'll come to you!]

Calli stood and exited the room, giggling at the image of Blu as a lost puppy, which is actually more true than the phrase considering Blu was a werewolf. She walked down to the front and waved frantically as she saw Blu walking towards her. Sprinting down the hall she vaulted towards her and wrapped her arms around her neck in a tight hug. "I missed you soo much!" She stepped back and looked her best friend up and down. "You look fabulous as always." Calli smiled and a bit of movement behind Blu caused her to look at a kid waving to her. "Huh, looks like he really wants your attention. C'mon, let's go see who this guy is, I'm curious." Her natural questioning nature had piqued and now she wanted to meet this kid and see why he wanted to talk to Blu. Not that she should have been surprised, Blu is incredibly beautiful anyway. She latched onto Blu's hand and pulled her in the direction of the guy, and she realized she hadn't seen him before. So, either he had transferred during the time she had left, or he was a first-year. Either way, he was quite adorable from the looks of him.

"Hey there, I'm Callista, and this is Blu." She smiled, letting go of Blu's hand. Too bad they couldn't have gotten caught up right away, but that could be done after they talked to this guy.

Maxis is surprised to be greeted not by the girl he actually wanted to talk to, but some completely different student who happened to be the friend, he shrugs it off in his mind and extends a happy smile and a hand.
"Pleasure ta meet yah, Callista. Me name is Maxis." He speaks with a thick Celtic accent, but luckily the presence of A's and the lack of H'es in her name keep him from butchering it like fat chicken. "I'ma... Hehe... Tryin' ta find some people ta talk to, I just came 'ere about a day ago, an' because I stick out like o' sore thumb, most people 'ave been either shootin' me looks or just ignorin' me all together. "Pleasure ta meet yah, Callista. Me name is Maxis." Calli smiled at Maxis, hearing his Irish accent. "Wow, I like your accent!" She pulled Blu forward so they were standing side by side, and faced Maxis with a smile. It seemed as though since she came back here, all she could do was smile. "I'ma... Hehe... Tryin' ta find some people ta talk to, I just came 'ere about a day ago, an' because I stick out like o' sore thumb, most people 'ave been either shootin' me looks or just ignorin' me all together. Don't 'ave a damn clue 'ow these private school thin's work." Calli chuckled and nodded. "Don't worry, Maxis, they'll get used to you. I haven't been here in six months, so I'm just lucky Blu is still my best friend. You're welcome to come with us, though. I was thinking of heading over to the campus cafe, what do you think, Blu?"

"Sure? Why not?" Maxis gives a visible shrug, and turns to walk away in a random direction, but stops mid-way through the step and turns back to the two girls. "Wait... Cafe? Why would a school need a cafe? Is this really that upscale of o' learnin' establishment? No wonder I am gettin' glares left an' right, they're wonderin' why the dirty-peasant-fairy-boy is allowed ta walk among them!"

The teen continued to walk until she saw Callista sprinting towards her. Grinning from ear to ear, Blu dropped her bags and hugged the girl back. "I missed you too!" She laughed as her friend complimented her. "And you're looking as adorable as always." Callista made a remark about someone wanting her attention. Blu rose a brow. Someone wanting her attention? That's highly unlikely. She hadn't spoken to anyone but Callista last year.

As Callista pulled Blu along with her, she saw that it was a guy who looked around their age. Blu had never seen the boy last year, he must have been new. And as she had expected from Callista, the girl introduced she and herself to the boy. The boy then introduced himself as Maxis in his thick accent. Blu gave him a small smile and looked into his eyes. He was a cheerful individual who meant well. Callista then commented on how the three of them could go to a café.

"That's a good idea Callista. I'll go put my things in my room, I'll be back, okay?" Blu said as she grabbed her luggage and began toward her room.
--------------
'Well here goes..." Blu thought.

She placed a hand on the doornob and twisted, pushing the door open only to reveal--

Nothing.

Well, no one.

Blu frowned upon seeing luggage on one of the beds. Welp, there goes her room mate. Sighing, she dragged her things to the unoccupied bed on the other side of the room. Opening one of her suitcases, she pulled out a poster and a pack of push pins. Blu pinned the poster to the wall at the head of her bed. She smiled at the poster. It was a picture of a triforce, the logo for the Legend of Zelda series, which was one of Blu's favorite game series.

As the teen stared at the picture, her smile turned into a frown.

She slowly started to unpin the poster.

She had to get back to Calli and Maxis.

((Blu is in the room with Nyomie's belongings.))

"Oh, okay. Meet us at the cafe when you're done! Ready to go, Maxis?" She walked with him forwards, waving goodbye to Blu as she went. "Wait... Cafe? Why would a school need a cafe? Is this really that upscale of o' learnin' establishment? No wonder I am gettin' glares left an' right, they're wonderin' why the dirty-peasant-fairy-boy is allowed ta walk among them!" Calli laughed outright and shook her head.

"People here can be kind of judgemental, but don't worry about that. Once they know you're friends with Blu and I, those odd looks will go away. Princess Callista Soul of the Faerie Kingdom at your service!" She grabbed his hand and towed him in the direction of the cafe, picking a table with three seats so Blu could eventually join them. "The muffins here are to die for," She said, picking one out from the tray a waitress had brought by and biting in. She looked up at Maxis with her perpetual smile and bright eyes. "If you're ever looking for some extra money, this is a good place to apply. They're pretty leniant and good about accepting students, as long as you don't goof around. This is where I worked before I got pulled out, and I have to say, it's a damn good job."

"Hmm... Well, it is an option... Why the 'ell not?" He sits back in the chair he has chosen and looks around, his eyes scan the other patrons of the establishment. He holds his own hands in his lap and spins his thumbs, obviously in some sort of thought, and after about a minute of him silently staring at his hands, he looks back up at her with a look of... Worry?

"I eh... I got a question fer ye..." He leans in a bit more, resting his elbows on the table trying to get a bit closer to her. "When I got 'ere yesterday, I over 'eard two students talkin' ta each other... A lad an'a lass... The girl didn't seem that off fer some reason, but the fella... 'E was short, only about five an'a half feet tall, black 'air, ye could confuse 'im fer a girl if 'e wore a dress... I eh overheard 'im talking..." His accent seems to be getting thicker, and the look of worry is growing more evident on his face. "From what I could gather... 'E is some sort o' demon... Is that true? That some o' our fellow classmates are demons?"

"I eh... I got a question fer ye..." Calli looked up and swallowed a bite of her muffin before replying. "Shoot." She took another bite and her gaze grew troublesome as he answered her.

I eh overheard 'im talking...From what I could gather... 'E is some sort o' demon... Is that true? That some o' our fellow classmates are demons?" Calli nodded slowly. The demons had always caused a sort of...troubled feeling for her. But lately it was just the vampires that she feared. Since the incident last year, she didn't trust a single vampire. "It's true that some of our classmates are demons, but honestly, most of them mean no harm. The creatures here are all different with their own personalities. If they're devious and cruel, it's not because they're a demon, it's because that's just who they are. But that doesn't apply to vampires, at least in my mind. I know some of them are nice, but still, stay away from them. Particularly because you're fae. Things get pretty nasty with them, even if you think...even if you think they are your friend." She looked away sadly and ran her hand over her neck, feeling the two small scars in the shape of fangs that would forever be imprinted into her skin.

His eyes dart to her hand, he raises a eyebrow and then sits back, his look of worry is somewhat eased, but he still frowns. "Ye were attacked by someone ye thought was close... Weren't ye?" He shifts around in his chair a bit, trying to buy himself a bit of time to think of the right words to say not to trigger something. "I'm sorry ta 'ear that lass... I can't imagine what that would be like, but atleast ye aren't not lettin' it keep ye down." He offers a sympathetic smile towards her, then spends a few moments trying to think of his next words. "Um..." He scratches the back of his neck. "Well, I uh... I don't know 'ow much 'elp it would be, but if another one o' those neck-gnawers makes an' advance towards ye, let me know an' I could step up an' knock out a fang or two... I got experience with it, back where I came from nothin' put thugs in their place better than missin' pearls." He pauses another moment. "Least I could do fer ye, after all ye are some sort o' royalty!" He gives Callista a few half-chuckles and a smile that a comedian makes when he knows he has a made a bad joke...

"Ye were attacked by someone ye thought was close... Weren't ye?" Callista's smile dropped and she nodded. "Yeah. That's why I was pulled out. It was six months ago, but the memory is still fresh." She put down her muffin, no longer hungry as the memory flashed through her mind. Weak...so weak...the iron chains...the fangs sinking into my neck...feeling my blood drain... Calli shook herself and looked back up at Maxis. "I'm sorry ta 'ear that lass... I can't imagine what that would be like, but atleast ye aren't not lettin' it keep ye down. Um...Well, I uh... Maxis chuckled and Calli smiled again, completely shaking the memory from her mind, at least until it resurfaced in her dreams later. "Thanks, Maxis. Hopefully I won't be in that situation again, though. Oh, and please don't treat me differently because I'm royal. I'm still a normal faerie, and that's all. Although, if you're ever in trouble and need some royal assistance, feel free to call on me. But, otherwise, just treat me like a normal faerie friend, alright?"
