Introduction
1) A painting which you touch and you are whisked from this world to a new world.
2) A relic transport to the Academy.
3) A special invitation or contest at your school in this world and you win the special trip.
Most of the time, I use the Painting to bring to the Academy. But I will let everyone have a say as to which way you prefer to arrive at the Academy.
The next part is about what magic you will be having. You can either choose from a list given to you or arrange your abilities with a set of numbers representing
the various beginning magics that I have set up. We will start with the basic magic and building up from scratch.
The last part of this RP is the CS. You may have a student or teacher. If it goes well, I will allow everyone to have a second character.
Everyone has a say in this RP and that is what will make it a great, long lasting RP!
How many people are interested in joining my world?

The story begins.........
Roisin parked in the local supermarket next to an old Studebaker Hawk was sitting in the parking lot of a local store. No one was inside the old vintage car but
being the curious type, Roisin walked over the car. It was unlocked and no one was around... slowly she walked around the vehicle to admire such a beauty of old
car. She had not seen one of these since... well since she was young. She couldn't resist the temptation of sitting in the driver's seat just this once and only for a few
minutes. The door opeened as if it was new, the upholstry even smelt new she noticed as she slid behind the wheel. She sat there looking at the dahsboard. Not a
speck of dust anywhere. It was obviously very well taken care of. She closed her eyes to imangine herself riding down the road in it......
"Excuse me, miss but you happened to fall into my car." a deep masculine voice spoke near her ear in soft whispered voice.
Roisin's eyes flew open in complete surprise and she stuttered out a simple reply
"I am sorry sir but I just couldn't resist the temptation of just sitting here in your beautiful car. I haven't seen one since I was quite young and uh.... I'll get out.
Again I am sorry to have bothered your car..." Roisin attempted to open the door but since the older gentleman was leaning on the door, she couldn't open it. She
then began to get nervous and wished that she had not gotten into the car. Now she would most likley be in trouble with him and the police would be could in and
then it would be in the local paper and maybe even in the area papers or with her luck in the paper of the big cities where certian people would find her and.....
As her mind ran on and on about the consequences of her actions, the gentleman chuckled softly.
"My name is Brian O'Rielly. Perhaps you would to take a spin it? I'll loan it to you for an hour or so if you would like." he spoke softly with twinkling eyes.
"But I couldn't drive your car! I mean I can because I have a valid driver's license but ...... well it's your car!" Roisin protested.
Brian simply held out the keys and spoke softly.
"Have fun for an hour. I'll be able to find you without the help of the police so don't worry."
"Really? Gee thanks so much." Roisin spoke gratefully as she took the keys that were dangling in front of her face.
Hesitantly, she started the car up and listened to the car like a well petted pampered kitten. Brian in the mean time had walked away from the car and over to
where there was a bench for people to sit on and wait for their ride to pick them up or sometimes just to chat. Brian waved then open the paper to read what ever
caught his attention.
Roisin smiled softly and let her imangination take over and the car was now hers- even though it was only for an hour.
An Hour Later......
Roisin pulled in to the store parking lot and parked in the same place where she took the car from. SHe gracefully stepped out of the Studebaker Hawk and
turned to see Brian standing a respectable distance away yet close enough to be heard clearly.
"I do hope that you enjoyed your ride. Now it's your turn to oblige me." a wide grin came over his face.
Roisin was very startled when she heard what Brian said.
"What do you mean?" she spoke softly.
"Read this pamplet and think on what it says. That is all I want you to do for me. I hope that isn't too much...." Brain spoke as he took a pamplet out of his inside
jacket pocket.
"Of course, I can do that for you, Mr O'Rielly. In fact I would be very happy to read it. ANd thank very much for allowing me to ride in your beautiful car." Roisin
spoke as Brian smiled.
"Now I must leave you and loveliness behind. I have an appointment and if I don't leave now, I am afraid that I might be late. Have a wonderful day and I hope we
meet again soon." Brian spoke as he walked around Roisn with ease. He was in the car and driving away before Roisin could speak another word.
She looked at the pamplet and place the pamplet in her purse and headed to the store for her groceries. She was not sure why she had done what she had done.... maybe she was lonely or just needing some kind of excitement in her life? Only time will tell.....

than going home and gave him a chance to hide, to disappear into the crowds of people running around, mindless of the other
people around them as they went about their lives
Seeing as it was pleasant enough evening, adam stopped at a bench close to the parking lot and relaxed after the long walk,
he hated taking the bus, someone always tried to talk to him when he was forced to travel by bus, stretching out on the
bench, he watched the world passing by for a moment before something caught his eye in the parking lot.
Across from him was an old blue car, vintage he thought the term was, he could tell by its design and shape, which in itself
wasnt anything unusual, plenty of old cars around, hell his dads car was older than adam by years, but thats not what made
this car catch his eye, it was new, a new vintage car?
The paintwork was pristine, sparkling clean without a single dent or scratch or dump that adam could see, he didnt know how
he knew but he just did know, this wasnt a reconditioned car, the paintwork wasnt a touchup someone had lovingly restored, it
was brand new, fresh off the assembly line, which was of course impossible because this car must have been at least 40 years
old, if not more, adam didnt know, he could never be accused of being a car guy.
Standing beside the car was an old man, unlike his car though, he looked the part, with a thick white beard and that old flat
cap on his head like in the old movies his dad sometimes made him watch when he was younger, unlike his car, there was
nothing about this old man which seemed to drawn attention, people were just walking by him, and his car.
That was when Adam realised it, even if he wasnt a car guy, other people would be,, but as he sat and watched, every few
seemed to be taking any notice of this unusual car, or the man beside it, dozens of people would just walk on past, until
someone would nothing the car, and look closer.
Then the old man would smile and talk to them for a while before handing them a leaflet or something before they walked off,
most of them slipping it into their pocket, some of them just dropping it into the nearest trash bin as they walked passed,
and like adam, this old man would notice and just smile a little smile and shake his head a little.
For some reason, adam was transfixed, he lost track of time as he watched this strange old man giving out pamphlets, curious
what was inside one but unable to bring himself to stand up and approach the man to find out more, until at last the old man
climbed into his car and pulled out of the parking lot.
Adam still watching, as the car pulled smoothly out of the junction, and across the road, pulling up infront of him and
stopping, the window rolling down as the old man held out a pamphlet to him with a grin on his face
"Nothing wrong with a little curiosity my boy" the man said with a laugh "but its generally considered rude to stare at
someone for so long" the grin on his face growing wider as he chuckled.
Although feeling a little guilty for being caught, adam couldnt help grinning like this strange old man as he stood up and
took the offered pamphlets, opening it up and skimming its contents before looking up to thank the man, only then realising
that the car has pulled away from the curb and was driving away..
As the car turned the corner, all adam could was watch it go, curious but confused..what was that all about?
Reading through the pamphlet carefully, Adam was left even more confused by what it said, but without even realising it, he
folded it neatly twice and slipped it into his pocket, still grinning bemusedly as he walked into the mall, a small silver
coin dancing over the knuckles of his right hand as he went inside.

Now, though it was Sunday. Claire bounded out of the house as soon as dinner was done and skipped around traffic as she neared the fair’s entrance. She nearly fell face-first onto a shiny blue car parked near the gate. After making sure it was unscathed, Claire leaned close to get a better look. She almost ran a hand along its side, but stopped herself just in time. If this had been her father’s car, he wouldn’t want anybody touching it. She got as close to a window as she could and peered inside. If only her dad was here; he would absolutely love this. What was the name of this one? Stew-backer Hawk? No, that didn’t sound right. Stow-baker? Stew-baker? Stew-baker still wasn’t correct, but it sounded close enough to ask her dad later.
Just wait until Dad hears I’ve found an old Stew-baker, Claire thought excitedly. She tugged her phone from her pocket and snapped a couple pictures.
No, wait, Claire corrected, its old-fashioned, but it looks pretty new.
That was weird, but she had her pictures, and she was on the way to the fair. Claire shoved her phone back in her pocket and threaded through the remainder of parked cars. She handed her ticket money to the booth worker with a wide grin, and spun toward the first ride.
Claire made a wide arc around the outside of the fair, spinning, sliding, rising, and dropping. The multicolored lights blurred at the speed of the rides. Everyone’s squeals and laughter spun in the air with Claire’s own. Sunset passed through twilight, and Claire found herself with four tickets left. She double-checked the Ferris wheel’s ticket price—two tickets— and hopped in line.
Best for last twice, she grinned. Right as she did, a kind old voice asked if he could join her in line.
“Of course you can,” she smiled, “My name’s Claire Thresh. Do you have two tickets?”
The man only had one. Claire immediately tugged one out of her hand.
“Here. I've got enough.”
The old was currently rubbing a hand across his white beard, his face half-hidden under his hat. Suddenly he smiled and pulled his other hand from his pocket. A fold-out pamphlet came with it. He introduced himself as Brian O'Rielly as he offered the paper to Claire. Claire took it with a bemused look on her face.
“Thanks, I’ll read it in a minute. Nice to meet you, Mr. O’Rielly.”
Mr. O’Rielly gave her a smile, a kind so real that Claire had to reciprocate. Then she glanced over her shoulder.
“Oh, look, we’re in front! Let’s go!”
Claire handed off her two tickets and stepped into the passenger car. She gestured to Mr. O’Rielly, but he stayed where he was.
“What, aren’t you coming?” Claire pointed to the seat across from her. He only shook his head. Apparently he was waiting for the next car.
Claire was a little confused, but she let the door close anyway. She began unfolding the pamphlet, making sure he could see that she was. Then the wheel turned and Claire was off the ground. She decided to read the pamphlet right then, and enjoy the view from the top. Before she really looked at it, though, the peaceful glow of her town lit by windows drew Claire to the edge of the car. She kept staring; feeling the soft breeze on her face and watching her familiar town become new and beautiful as her car rose.
She remembered Mr. O’Reilly as she returned to the ground. She stepped out of the car and waited, but he didn’t come out of any other passenger cars. Claire wandered the fair for a little while, hoping to find him. Soon enough, she had to admit that he was probably gone. She turned toward home a little disappointed.
Don’t worry about it, she told herself. She began her winding path through all the fair parking.
You got to ride the Ferris wheel. That was the main thing. Maybe he needed the tickets for something else.
Claire edged between two cars and came face to face with the old/new Stew-Baker Hawk. She waved at the man seated inside, then paused in surprise when she saw it was Mr. O'Rielly.
“I’m so glad you found me!” she hurried toward him, “I was about to ask you something about your pamphlet…”
Mr. O’Rielly leaned out his window with another one.
“Oh, you gave me one already, remember?” Claire reminded him. She stuck her hands in her jacket pockets. Her eyes popped open when she couldn’t feel paper anywhere. Brian O’Rielly smiled and said she had lost hers.
“Oh...thanks..." Claire frowned in confusion. Then she brightened.
"Would you like something to eat? My aunt runs a bakery, and we have lots of leftovers today at my house. It's two streets to the-"
Mr. O'Rielly interrupted before Claire could tell him where to go, and held out the pamphlet again. Claire thanked him and took it back, hoping she hadn't done something to annoy him. She eased the paper into her pocket, puzzled, and watched Mr. O'Rielly drive away.

SECOND STEP! Please do Step One first.
Roisin kicked off her shoes as soon as she came in the door. She was not at all happy for it was the third day that the Head Libriaran called her into the office for something that was not at all her fault! After all if a certian someone would quit chatting on the phone with her boyfriend and gone to lunch on time, she could have been to lunch and back in plenty of time for the meeting. The that certian someone just had to take a day off when she had a dentist appointment and to top that off, she called in after she was suppose to have started! Yes her cell phone rang but when you have a hand in your mouth and your phone shut off- not that you could hear it about the cleaning and jabber of the dentist and his assistant, you certianly could not answer it. Roisin felt that her day off was just that- her day off!
Now to top it all off today the head Libriaran called her in stating that she was flirting with some old man! Sure she knew the old man but she would never flirt on the job for one thing and for another she wouldn't be looking for someone who could be her grandfather! She had the decision to make of whether or not she wanted to be a librarian at that branch! And of course she would not be considered for the promotion that she applied for and worked so hard for since there was another person who could do just as well as she could.
She tossed the purse in the sofa and stomped very unlady like to the kitchen. Pulling out the container of her favorite ice cream and the chocolate syrup then a spoon, placing each one on the clean counter in the well kept kitchen. She took a bowl down dumped the rest of the ice cream in the bowl and pour more than a generous amount of chocolate on top. Next she dump the last of nuts, heaping spoon full of Cool Whip and the cherries. A napkin was place next to it and Roisin sat down to eat as she listen to what messages she received.
She deleted most of them until the irratating voice of a certian coworker came on.
"Rosie, sweetie, just listen to this! I got that position that you applied for.... you the children's head librarian? Isn't that so wonderful for little old me! I am sure that you must be pretty much PO'ed by now so I'll let you be so you can storm off in a tantrum! TaTa, sweetie!"
"That da.... no I will not stoop to her level. I refuse to give in......" Roisin erased the messages and noticed the papmlet it.
Having nothing better to do, she read the pamplet.
"If only I could run away from this world, I would. Yes I would indeed......" Roisin's head turned to the door where there was a soft knocking could be heard from. She glanced at the pamplet and then shook her head all the while she restrained a hysterical laugh. She quietly went to the door, picking up her shoes as she went and put them neatly in the closet, and opened it only to see the gentleman!
"How can this be? I was reading the pamplet and yes I am very much down about my life at the moment but how can this be happening?" Roisin whispered.
"Miss Roisin, may I come in explain it more? I do believe that there are two bowls of ice cream waiting on us... your favorite and mine...." Brian spoke softly and gently as he smiled kindly at her.
"But of course....." Roisin stammered as she allowed Brian O'Rielly inside. She lead the way to the kitchen and sure enough there was a second bowl of ice cream at the table. She looked at it then to Brian.
"Strawberry is favorite. Please be seated while I tell more. I am here to rescue from this world." he began as he watched Roisin sit down. He sat next to her and not looking at her began to tell her of the reasoning of the papmlet.
"I am sent here to find likely people who would leave this Earth and move to another planet. Also agree to learn about magic and use it to form a new world. I will take you there and be around from time to time. But my main purpose is to take willing people to this new world. Are you willing to relocate? You need nothing from this world. And you will have a store to shop from and many more things that are there then you can shake a stick at. Like my new car. A real beauty she is. What do you say? A ride in my car to a fancy hotel in the mountians? Perhaps we shall even have a nice dinner together?" Brian offered.
"I could do that but what about my job?" Roisin asked.
"If you leave your job, others would fill your position. And this is only chance that you may have to escape this world. And only if you believe in Magic." Brian spoke as he finished his ice cream. He turned to Roisin.
"My time here at your place grows short. What is your decision?"
"Roisn had by now some how finished her ice cream without realizing that she had just done so. She smiled at Brian and spoke
warmly.
"Why not? After all I have nothing to lose really here but so much to gain. I'll go with you." Roisin spoke.
In a blink of an eye, Roisin was in the passenger seat of the Hawk. She was feeling so much better as the car literally flew through the air towards a fancy hotel on top of a mountian.

"So, what are you guys looking at, anyway?" her brother wondered.
"We're trying to understand this thing Claire got at the fair yesterday, Carter," Claire's dad informed everyone. We've decided that it's either a cult, a creep, or a real chance."
"He wasn't a creep, Daddy," Claire insisted, "when I tried to invite him to our house, he wouldn't let me tell him where it was."
Claire's mom took in this information with a nod. Claire's dad rubbed a hand over his face.
"Claire, honey, you can't invite people from the fair to our house the first time you meet them."
"Sorry. Mr. O'Rielly was just really, genuinely nice. Good."
Claire's father decided it was a discussion for later.
"So?" Claire's mom poked her head in from the kitchen. She looked faintly amused. "Are you going to read it?"
"Well, I don't want to run away from this world, and neither does anyone else except Carter."
"But we can at least try," Carter joined in, "if it's false, it will prove itself false and fall apart. Or just feel evil, if we'll really let ourselves listen. If it's true, well, there's no better chance in our lifetimes! Ever!"
Claire shifted nervously. Carter had a good point. Who in their right minds would miss this chance, providing it was real? But still, if Carter read it, and nothing happened...Claire blinked in surprise. Was that why she wouldn't admit that she wanted to soar over oceans and cities and see new worlds and new wonders? Fear?
But, Claire argued to herself, I'd be leaving everything behind...I'd be leaving my family...
"May as well read it," Claire's mom suggested, "dinner's almost ready."
"Well?" Claire's dad looked at her, " are you ready?"
"Me?" Claire squeaked. She glanced at her dad, then read over the words again. Nervousness twinged in her stomach.
"I would love to go to a new world, or city, or planet, or whatever, but I don't want to run away from this one."
The pamphlet's sincere query soaked into Claire. This wasn't some gag. Something about it felt like the real deal. Apparently, her dad felt it, too.
"Claire," he made sure she was looking at him, "you've weighed the cost of going, so let's weigh the cost of not going. If you throw this pamphlet away and forget about it, there will always be some part of you that wants to know what would have happened. The feeling won't turn up at first, but it will eventually."
"How do you know?" Claire twirled her purple crystal ring.
"I've known you since you were born," Claire's dad grinned, "if there's one thing at the core of how you're made, it's wonder. You can't let fear take that away from you."
They'd let me go? Claire watched her dad in amazement, They'd let me leave them? They wouldn't be mad?
Her dad's unspoken permission freed something in Claire that she'd been trying to satisfy with books and daydreaming. Beautiful sunsets were breathtaking, but they also meant that there was so much more to experience out there...
"Your mom and I will see if it feels evil," Claire's dad pointed at the words, "you go for it. Let's see if Mr. O'Rielly happens to show up."
Claire took a deep breath and tried to let the newly freed part of her mind peek out.
"If I could run away from this world, I would..."
The living room stayed silent. Carter locked his eyes on the pamphlet. Nothing...
Then came a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" Claire's mom called. Claire stared through the window in disbelief. Brian O'Rielly. At her front door, right when she'd read his pamphlet.
"Dad, it's him," Claire whispered. Carter leapt to his feet while Claire's dad opened the door. Claire introduced him to everyone.
"Before you say anything more," Claire's dad gave Mr. O'Rielly a neutral look, "how do we know you aren't part of some elaborate scheme?"
Mr. O'Rielly stepped off the porch and asked if Claire's dad wanted to look over his car. Claire saw the suspicion on her dad's face fade into amazement.
"This is not a refinished car," he managed, "where did you find this?"
In answer, Mr. O'Rielly got into the Hawk, started it, and began to drive away. Carter cried for him to wait. Mr. O'Rielly smiled back at him and did something on the dashboard. Carter shouted and Claire's dad laughed aloud as the Hawk rose straight into the air. Claire couldn't say anything at all; she felt an almost physical pull toward the flying Hawk and Mr. O'Rielly.
"It's real! It's real! It's real!" Carter cheered. Judging by the way her parents were watching-in unguarded awe- Claire knew they couldn't be getting an evil vibe from the flying Hawk. Mr. O'Rielly landed the car right where he had parked before. Claire's parents quietly discussed something while Carter raced to talk to him. Mr. O'Rielly's face grew a little sad, and he said something softly to Carter. Carter's face grew hot with anger, then heavy with disappointment. Claire felt confirmed in what she'd known before: she was the only one going. Fear poked at her thoughts.
"He said I wasn't ready yet," Carter grumbled to her. Claire hugged him, and for once, he didn't try to squirm away.
"That's good, Carter, that means you will be ready someday."
Claire could tell Carter was thinking about that, but all he said was, "Have fun, Claire. See you sometime," before he marched back inside.
"What sort of things will Claire be needing?" Claire's mom asked. Claire's heart leaped. Mr. O'Rielly had passed her parents' test. Claire was half dismayed and half relived to hear she couldn't take stuff with her. That meant no hurried packing, and that she'd be getting the clothing and supplies she'd need soon enough. Suddenly, Claire realized the only thing left to do was leave. Her mom wrapped Claire in her arms and a jacket at the same time.
"If you can write," Claire's mom started. Claire winced at the tremor in her voice.
"Then I will," Claire assured her, "I'll tell you about everything. If I can, you'll get a letter every week."
Claire's mom held onto Claire for a few more seconds, then went to pack her dinner. Claire's dad grabbed her in a fierce hug.
"We'll miss you, Claire. Take care of yourself. Learn lots, see more."
Claire shoved her face in her dad's shoulder. The pull toward the Hawk and the pull toward home hit equal strength. Maybe she ought to just tell Mr. O'Rielly she wasn't coming...but home was an old pull, it would weaken soon enough. It was time for the next pull to take over. She could feel the moment it did, and so could her dad. They stepped back at the same time. Claire's mom wordlessly handed her a sandwich, celery, and peanut butter.
Clair climbed into the Hawk. Mr. O'Rielly started the car up again. Claire waved as the car rose into the air until her parents' house was indistinguishable from the others. She watched as the neighborhoods merged, then as her whole town became one soft point of light behind her and Mr. O'Rielly. She rubbed tears off her face for a little while, and felt the sting of the wind against her arms and shoulders. Mr. O'Rielly kept silent for her. After some time, Claire turned toward him with an honest, shaky smile.
"This is going to be really good," she told him. She could already feel the unlocked part of her switching her homesickness to deep excitement. Mr. O'Rielly agreed with her. Claire shifted her attention back outside. She watched the stars glide by as she started in on her sandwich.

ROisin was enjoying the ride but it soon ended. She had been leaning back in the seat, enjoying the breeze and the warmth of the sun when the car stopped. She sat up and looked over to the driver seat when she heard a soft voice speak to her.
"I'm over here dear." Brian was smiling broadly then opened the door. He led her to a building and opened the door. The lights automatically came on. It was a large open area which was full of stores. At the far end was a hotel. He turned to Roisin and kissed her hand gently.
"I must take my leave of you for a while to pick up more people. Please enjoy yourself and shop to your heart's delight. No worry about the money for it is all inclusive. Eat or drink what ever you wish. Rest at the hotel if you would like. You will be our guest here. Melinda will assist you....." Brian spoke as he rose the disappeared into thin air.
Roisin was astonished but melinda spoke softly.
"Where do you wish to go first?"

"Could we fly in your car tomorrow, Mr. O'Rielly?" Claire asked him. She didn't even register his response. As soon as the door breezed shut behind them, bank upon bank of lights rapidly burst to full power. Claire shielded her eyes until blinding white became distinguishable colors. Mr. O'Rielly's voice informed her that she could browse through any of the shops that she wanted, or rest at the hotel on the opposing end of the building. Claire processed as much as she could while taking in the sheer size of the place, not to mention the variety of the different stores. By the time Claire had the presence of mind to turn to Mr. O'Rielly, he was gone. Truly gone, not just around the corner of the kiosk or in a shop nearby. Disappointment almost settled into Claire; she hadn't even thanked him for everything. Not to mention that Claire still had dozens of questions. However, Melinda had taken Mr. O'Rielly's place. She asked in her soft voice where Claire would like to go first.
"Where's Mr. O'Rielly gone?" Claire inquired. Melinda laughed gently. She reminded Claire that Brian had just said he was going to take care of some preparations. Claire figured she probably couldn't go along if that was the case. She turned her attention back to the rows and rows of shops, and excitement bubbled up in her.
"What kinds of thing should I get? What are we preparing for?"
And where in the world am I going to start first?
