Personality

Society: Orus society is highly militarized society based around law and order. Instead of police though soldiers fill the roll. Discrimination of pure Orus is common with history rewritten to put them in wrong where possible. Orus are highly xenophobic fearing a second coming of a superior race that will cause deaths of those alive like ancient conflicts with the Suro. The Orus religion has many gods but most have been forgotten with time and only Orion the god of war remains worshiped by all but the pure Orus who try to keep other gods not forgotten. Death is viewed favorable if it's cause is war or conflict as dying for one's people can bring elevating status to the dead ones family. Families have 8+ kids even in modern times as mortality rates or deadly environment from Orus made dangers to their own home world Orion. This practice though has lead to a higher population on there much safer second home world Orion beta.
Government/Leadership: All Orus governments are monarchies ruled by a royal family that power is defined by it's bloodline. Orus have a long history of Warrior Kings that can stretch their roots back to tribal times. A council of three kings of the surviving royal bloodlines are leadership of the Orus united government also known as Orion Empire while a disputed bloodline descended rules the pure Orus as a simple king which disgusts many Orus even his own subjects. The structure of power is like a pyramid in Orion Empire. The kings at top then below then the Elite military leaders then slowly descending down to lowest grunt. Despite being a monarchy all political leaders are part of the military.

-alive warrior kings-
Warrior King Kron XXXIV is the oldest of the current ruling three kings. Thanks to fact he hasn't left his throne in twelve years due to having it converted into a life support system that is directly attached to his armor and body he has lived beyond natural limit. A true anomaly in the Orus race but only a shell of his former self Kron is ninety-two years old. He has ruled longer then any other king and has lived longer then any other Orus in recorded history. Kron is descended of Orion bloodline giving him the most political power. Kron rules from the Orus home world Orion with a iron fist dispite fact his life could end any minute.

Warrior King Vladimer XI once the youngest king at age of thirty-three. Headstrong individual with hopes for increasing power for his bloodline he acts outside approval of other two kings. Vladimer views the other two kings as weak and only change can promote the strengthening of the superior Orus race. Vladimer is decedent of Ju'kar bloodline that is known for stubborn or rash leaders in past which have cost it most of it's political sway but have landed it dominion over Orion Beta.

Warrior King Korthu is younger then Vladimer at age of twenty-three. Though unlike Vladimer, Korthu is a fierce loyalist to order. This young king hopes to follow the example of Kron which makes him basically a puppet king. He has a young three year old son warrior prince Warthu IV Kron. Named in honor of his father and his inspiration for the kind of king he wants to be.

-deceased Warrior Kings-

Warrior King Warthu III died at the age of fifty-four at orders of Kron. He was a decedent of Orus bloodline. Warthu had planned to try and use a new ship being built to grab total power but was found out. Warthu was assassinated by a attendant of Kron but death was passed as accident to general public. Warthu was a very ambitious man in life with dreams to rule the entire Orion Empire with no equal. His plans for becoming sole king of empire are responsible for his death. His son Warrior prince Korthu ascended after his fathers death.

Factions: The Orus are unified under the banner of the Orion Empire but a small faction the pure Orus have their own minor country called Oriunos Kingdom or kingdom of truth in native Orus language.

Jump Gates: Orbiting the sun Orion does but in the asteroid belt.
-Technology-
Brief Overview: The Orus have gasoline powered transportation with rubber tires. Cities are powered by nuclear reactors with waste dumped onto the only moon of Orion. Large water filtration facilities filter all water to be used to remove toxins. From birth to adult hood Orus go through multiple helmets to filter air there they breath. Clothing is leather for civilians but leather with metal armor for military. Heat is provided by electric heaters and light by light bulbs. Genetic manipulation is highly refined art in Orus society but the blueprints to build machines used in art were lost in the many wars so the remaining facilities are fortified to survive the most deadly Orus weapon the H-Bomb. Orus have a space elevator but lack the capabilities to rebuild it if it were to break but use it to ferry materials to space which has contributed to a huge orbital shipyard and strip mining of the only moon of Orion. Nuclear pulse propulsion provides movement to their spacecraft. A sole surviving fusion reactor originally taken from surface out of a ruined city powers the station but the Orus only have knowledge to keep it running not to build more. Several large facilities under each city still inhabited house large growing vats for creatures that produce a oil they refine for use in numerous machines.
Role of technology: Technology provides survivability to a battered race suffering historic population lows and makes the air breathable an water drinkable. Artificial food is made or treated meat from species altered to survive on Orion as it is. The Orus have lost much of their advanced technology to time and act as preservers to what is left. Technology though has been failing the Orus as things they cannot replace it all.
-Military and Space travel-
Ship Design:There are fighters, frigates, capital ships and transports all with one production design in modern Orus ships all moving via nuclear pulse propulsion. Common armaments range from minute nukes to full fledged H-Bomb capable of 50 megaton blast. A less explosive armaments are defensive turrets to fire projectiles.
Fighters:Fighters are small maneuverable craft with four miniature nukes and a spot for a gunner for a single miniature defense turret.
Frigates:Frigates are greatly smaller usually only 400ft long, 100ft tall and 100ft wide. They are armed with a single H-Bomb, twenty defense cannons.
Capital Ships: Capital ships the largest are a dying breed of ships with a newer model the Pillar class ship to be replacement for capital ships. They measure 1,000 ft long and 200ft tall and 400ft wide. They are armed to the tooth with six H-bombs, two hundred fighters, eighty defensive cannons and three hundred orbital drop pods to send a squad of infantry to a planet's surface.
Pillar Ship: Description from dead King Warthu III "I would like you to meet the Pillar class ship. It is 1,200ft long, 300ft tall and 600ft wide which is bigger than a capital ship. There is more, it would be armed with over twenty H-Bombs using a new design to yield same blast force of 50 megatons but smaller size. The fighter bay is in the front which can house four hundred fighters and two hundred bombers. The bombers are able to operate in a atmosphere so they can deliver their payload a 25 megaton nuke. There is also thirty troop transports designed to transport troops and ground vehicles to a battle. There is only a hundred and fifty drop pods though. It's crew fully stocked will number twelve thousand with three thousand soldiers for ground combat. Now you're asking what to power it and for that I have the ultimate power source. A reverse engineered fusion core!"
Transports:Transport ships are large 600ft long, 250ft tall, 500ft wide Goliath too expensive to build new ones currently. Only three function one to transport material mined from moon, one to go from Orion to Orion beta and one to supply research station.


Military Design: Orbital nuke deployment facilities are on shipyard for protection with a total of 200 H-Bomb armed and ready for defensive use. Two hundred million Orus are in the Orion Empires army. One capital ship and fifty frigates with two hundred fighters equal one standard Orion fleet and three full fleets are currently in service. Then there are seven smaller fleets with the frigates and fighters but not the capital ships with 2 smaller fleets defend home world, 1 defends home worlds moon mining operation, 2 defend Orion Beta, and two defend the jump gate. The Ships in Orion Empires fleets are well kept but older then all living Orion with oldest a capital ship in service for two hundred years.

History

Brief History: The Orus lived for centuries in peace with the second native intelligent life of Orion the Suro. The Suro were physically stronger and better then the Orus but not until age of industrialization did a war begin. The first great war of Orus vs Suro lasted for next hundred years till peace was formed. Peace lasted for a hundred years but then the second great war began. This war lasted for the next thousand years until the last Suro was killed. Knowing only war the Orus turned on themselves. Once united Orus nations began the third great war and the most bloody. This war lasted for two thousand years till one nation had one and killed 80% of the Orus population to achieve it. The Orus who won were stronger and better than others coming from one of few nations that practiced genetic engineering with long term goals. The half dead barren world of ruined cities and polluted lands then fell into the fourth great war only after four hundred years of peace as pure Orus fought in a civil war against the genetically modified superior Orus who were bent on genetic purification of the weakness in their own species. In the end the pure Orus were exiled from all lands but a small southern continent unable to beat the superior Orus. The superior Orus took their control to spread to the second world with a thin but breathable atmosphere where they could build a second home world Orion Beta.
