Tony only frowns harder when Bruce speaks. "If that's the case, we're going to have to find a time machine and follow him somehow. There's no way I'm staying like this for long. I don't even have facial hair!" Tony flails his tiny arms slightly in order to punctuate his frustration. Susan seems to be trying to speak, but without actually saying much of anything.
"Thinking's a dangerous pastime you know." He gives her a playful wink, hoping she won't take offense at his comment but knowing she probably will.
Anyway, Tony's primary objective was now to save his friend from all the embarrassment Tony himself had once felt by the betrayal of his body. He struts over to Steve in that way that he always does, but of course it looks a bit funnier now that he's so much shorter and his limbs so much stockier. He wraps a chubby arm around the Captain's neck and uses the thumb of his other hand to pad away Steve's tears.
"Cheer up, Cap," he whispers, "I'll get you outta this mess." With a grin and another trademark Stark wink, Tony throws his suit jacket, now much too large for any of them in the room, over Steve's shoulders, hiding the other boy's wet mark.
The sooner I'm myself again, the better, Tony thinks as he flashes a reassuring smile at Rogers. At least he hopes that's the vibe he's giving off, because usually he just exudes cockiness and superiority. He's even ninety-seven percent certain that believe he's made of cockiness, superiority, and narcissism. He knows better though; it is all just one big act, put on for the onlookers and the press and anyone who might even want to get close to him, although Tony doesn't see why anyone would.
He shakes his head slightly, dislodging the thoughts from his mind and focusing once again on the situation at hand. He has to get Rogers out of here. That's the priority at the moment. "We're gonna go do..." Tony thinks for a moment, trying to find something that would be totally uninteresting to babies so that none of the other would follow him and Rogers. "... Important things. Yeah, important things." Not his smoothest moment, but he blames it on the transformation. He turns his back to the rest of the group, pressing the palm of his hand to his forehead. Yeah, that wasn't smooth at all. Still, perhaps none of the others would notice.
He pulls Rogers a little closer to him protectively, making sure that his coat jacket is staying in place over the other boy's small, thin frame and gently pushes him towards the door, walking side by side. He gives one last glance backwards before they cross the threshold to what Tony sees as safety.
