Personality:
Before her parents died, when she was a young kid, Adelaide was a bundle of joy. She was bright and playful; naive to the harsh truth of things, one could say. She giggled and smiled like any normal kid would, despite living in the wastelands and what their conditions were. Even with her parents young - after all, kids had to produce more kids if there was any hope of keeping the human population going.
After her parents died though, things changed. Everything changed. Adelaide was left alone. She became withdrawn and shy. On the inside though, she became tough and strong though because she had to survive. It was a struggle but she did it on her own.
After Adelaide was recruited into a gang, she still kept to herself. She let herself get recruited for protection, shelter and food. Though still shy, she tried to talk with the others and interact socially. But with years where she was alone, she found it difficult to fit in so was generally by herself, causing her to be the target of some friendly teasing within the gang because she was so young and still naive. That was when she was 10, and it had only been a small group of kids. Now, she's back to wondering around and keeping to her shy, withdrawn self.

Biography:
Her mother was 16 when she had Adelaide, her father 18. Both were fit and healthy when she arrived and they still had a few years to go. The family lived in an abandoned building alone, not going outside as neither were really good at defending themselves and they didn't want to run into trouble. Her father would go out and get food to feed the family while her mother took care of her.
Adelaide was five when her father's health deteriorated fast. By the time she was six, he was dead at the age of only 24. Adelaide's mother died on her eighth birthday also 24. Addie stayed in the apartment, only leave to go looking for food when she got hungry. Finally when she was 10, she was recruited into a small gang which offered her protection and everything, but by 12 they'd changed and Addie left.
From 12 onwards, Adelaide was left on her own, wondering from place to place trying to survive and still is. She hasn't joined another gang and tends to stay by herself due to fear of other people. The only time she comes into contact with others is when she's trying to find food.
