Mother - Francine Hermann Smith - A fiercely driven career woman, Flo looks up to her mother in some ways, but in others disagrees with her. She admires her mother's determination and dedication, but often disagrees with her ruthlessness.
Stepfather - Dirk Hermann Smith - Flo and her stepfather have an extremely close relationship. They're very similar in many ways, both being the type to fade into the background. Dirk was born in Germany, and he's the reason Flo has Hermann as part of her name, as he married her mother very soon after Flo was born. He's suggested she change it sometimes, less worried about his stepdaughter having his name than he is about her getting picked on for it, but Flo prefers having the name.
Half brother - Derek Bernard Martin Conrad Hermann Smith - Like any 10 year old boy, Derek is a fond annoyance to his sister.

Pretty much non-existent, though whether it's just out of forgetfulness or out of respect for her relationship with her stepfather is up for debate.

Flo grew up with a foot in two worlds. On one hand, she had her mother's world of vicious high flying business, with equally vicious business associates. On the other, Dirk's old money German nobility, with parties full of socialites and traditions out the wazoo. In either one, Flo vanished into the background a little. Too non-aggressive for business, too shy for the life of a socialite, Flo was often left on the wayside by her peers, to watch them with no small amount of envy. She never wanted for familial affection, that was certain, but she didn't have many friends growing up, and she kind of took to becoming one with the wallpaper. Thankfully, she quickly learned that she shared the wallpaper with Dirk, so at least she wasn't completely alone. As she got a little older, she started to feel a bit like a freak, with how she didn't have many friends, unlike most every other old money or business heir kid she knew. This wasn't helped by her powers slowly starting to manifest when she hit her teenage years.
