๏ผฐ๏ผฅ๏ผฒ๏ผณ๏ผฏ๏ผฎ๏ผก๏ผฌ๏ผฉ๏ผด๏ผน:

Adventurous | Forthright | Challenging | Kind | Elegant
Spontaneous | Individualistic | Earthy | Moralistic | Energetic
Whimsical | Self-indulgent | Strong-willed | Transparent
Indecisive | Big-thinking | Vivacious | Self-sufficent | Playful

Upon first impression, Marilyn portrays all of the characteristics in which a child of Apollo is expected to have. Sheโ€™s all too ready to be friendly and accommodating, almost as if it were her personal mission to befriend others, and for some the proposition is alluring due to the amount of genuinity and brightness she seems to carry herself with. Her liveliness is what makes her lovely, her non-biological father had used to tell her, and she was as enrapturing as the sun with her big smile and heart as big as the whole world. Itโ€™s these traits, the liveliness, friendliness, that make her the daughter of Apollo. However, Marilyn isnโ€™t completely defined by such aspects.

For example, Marilyn is completely moralistic; This most likely sprouted from the fact that her father was their reservationโ€™s local sheriff and Marilyn has a penchant for realistic police and detective shows such as Cops. The Navajo girl believes thereโ€™s a defined line that separates the good and the bad, even when it comes to the little things like bullying. She almost always roots for the underdog and takes a stance against any sort of injustice. If Marilyn had never discovered her status as a demi-god, sheโ€™s convinced she may have become a police officer or even lawyer herself.

Being Navajo has also played a huge part in defining who Marilyn is. The values of the Navajo peoples have been deeply ingrained inside of her. She believes that in all of the complexity of the earth, everything is somehow connected. She values the relationship that humans have with animals, land, and each other and tries to apply her beliefs towards making this relationship the best it could possibly be. When disorder happens in her life, such as illness, she turns to the Navajo way of herbs, medicinemen, prayers, songs and ceremonies. Some can see her as this freak nature lover whoโ€™s a little bit coo-coo with her strange spirituality.

From the days of her childhood in the desert of Arizona to the current withstanding time, Marilyn was and still is an adventurer at heart. She loves being able to explore and she has a level of spontaneity that aids this trait. She supposes that itโ€™s why sheโ€™s some to be so brave and playful, but also rather reckless. Her self-indulgent ways are a negative side effect; Marilyn enjoys being able to do whatever she wants, whenever she wants. Also, Marilyn is very transparent being, as she canโ€™t lie worth squat and doesnโ€™t try to have many secrets.

Marilyn, in many ways, is her own person.

If you think that Marilyn has always looked the way she does, think again. She was actually quite the ugly duckling in her earlier days; she was all sharp edges with her gangly, boney limbs, and had sunken in eyes too big for her face and big buck teeth that stuck out cartoonishly. She can remember a time where she chipped a tooth while she was out playing and was teased for days by her siblings until her parents had time to bring her in to the dentist. A few of her most embarrassing photos were taken by her older sister, Audrey, and she still has them for blackmail today. Miracles do happen, fortunately for Marilyn, as she was able to leave behind her ugly duckling days.

At seventeen, Marilyn stands at about five foot seven inches or approximately one hundred and seventy centimeters. Her body has lost it's gangly quality and is now of the slender, willowy sort. She's build quite a bit of muscle from all of the exercise she does in her spare time and doesn't have any of the little scars and bruises to prove this (Apollo's healing abilities come in handy when it comes to this.) She's not really all that curvaceous, but she holds her own.

It was no surprise when Marilyn ended up inheriting characteristics of what generations of women in her family possessed, identified by russet tinted skin, wild ebony hair, and certain exotic, cat-like features. Her raven locks are lengthy, coming to rest just below the lumps of her chest, and compliment the heart shape of her tanned face. The almond shape of her chocolate brown eyes, paired with the winged nature of her eyelashes add to her exotic appeal, but are common among Navajo women.

Hastiin Tsinajinnie | Stepfather | He and Marilyn are as close as a regular father-daughter pair.
Ooljee Tsinajinnie | Mother | The two love each other. She's always seemed like an older sister more than a mother to Mari.
Audrey Tsinajinnie | Older Half-Sister | The duo are almost always arguing and bickering.
Bing Tsinajinnie | Younger Half-Brother | Marilyn loves him to bits and pieces. He was her best friend growing up.
Elizabeth Tsinajinnie | Younger Half-Sister | Marilyn loves her, but the youngest of the Tsinajinnie clan has always seemed a world apart.

Marilyn isnโ€™t particularly close with Apollo, but sheโ€™s never really cared. Heโ€™s visited her a few times over the years due to important matters (although he visited her once to give her an earful after she said she liked this certain band) and other than that, they have no paternal bond other than what they have in blood.

๏ผข๏ผฉ๏ผฏ๏ผง๏ผฒ๏ผก๏ผฐ๏ผจ๏ผน:
Marilyn Tsinajinnie, according to her mother, was born amongst the gold of the wind-scattered sand on the hottest day of the whole year. In the deserts of Arizona, the sun beat down ruthlessly and at around mid-day, when that burning ball of fire was at it's highest, Marilyn decided that that was the time to make her appearance. Her mother later teased her saying that she could have at least waited till they got to the hospital, where air conditioning and ice water were readily available, to which Marilyn replied that she waits for no man! Still, her parents had been over joyed- her mother Ooljee and her father Hastiin- for the tiny, pink, squirmy thing known as their second daughter, who didn't at all seem to be bothered by the heat of that day which ended up giving many severe heat cramps and others even heat stroke.

Life in the desert, for many, is extremely unkind. Not just anyone can bare the blazing heat of the relentless sun or the distinct feeling of isolation due to the loneliness of the vast sand. The Navajo people, on the other hand, were made for it; they lived and breathed the very dust of the desert air and their way of life was founded upon the dryness of the land. For Marilyn, the desert is her home. The days growing up in her little Navajo reservation were her happiest.

Marilyn was a little desert fox, playing outside in the Arizona heat with the lizards and cacti known as her friends. She loved it, coming home after a day of exploration with a fresh tan and a big beaming smile which contrasted the orange of the dust on her face. She'd often take her younger brother, Bing, a boy only two years younger than her, out with her and together they'd fill their pockets full of shiny rocks that they found on their adventures, some of which they claimed were old Indian arrowheads. Their mother would simply smile and put all of their rocks in jars, then sow back up the new-made holes in their pockets.

However, there werenโ€™t a lot of kids Marilynโ€™s age on their reservation other than her siblings and there wasnโ€™t a whole lot for her to do in a small town in the middle of nowhere. When she wasnโ€™t adventuring outside with her younger brother or riding her bike around the reservation with her big sister, Marilyn found solace in music. Their neighbour, a silver haired, leather faced old man, taught Marilyn old Navajo folk songs and how to play an acoustic guitar. He had been completely amazed by her immediate ability to play the six string, stunned by how a boney-kneed kid like her could pluck at a guitar like a pro. In the end, it was music that brought Marilyn and her biological father together.

Hastiin isn't really Marilyn's father- according to biology โ€“ and Marilyn has always known that. She knows the whole story. Marilyn's mother was only twenty-two when she briefly fell in love with a mysterious man who was passing through and this led to a night of heat and passion. However, life wasn't a romance movie in which tall, dark, and handsome marries the woman and they all live happily ever after. No, he was gone the next day, vanished to god knows where. In the end, she was on her own, heartbroken, young, and terrified of the burden of pregnancy. Hastiin was an old friend and local cop who, her mother decided, would be able to help her with it all. Neither of them realized in the beginning that they would fall in love as they did and Ooljee found that what was once a curse brought upon her from that one stranger was now a blessing. It ended in love and a baby girl named Marilyn.

Marilyn has always been extremely proud of two things: her musical ability and her Navajo heritage. The ceremonies and festivals held around the area allowed Marilyn to experience both factors to the fullest. Sheโ€™d sing and dance to traditional Navajo songs, the beating of the drums resonating in her very core. She never would have expected to meet a Greek god at one of these festivities.

Amanda was one of the last to arrive at the Academy after returning from Summer, her bags had yet to be emptied and sat in the corner of her bedroom, which for the time being was void of any mess. The wardrobe was empty and neither door was being used to hang any of her clothes and the drawer beneath the doors wasn't open to reveal a messy gathering of shoes, but instead the entire wardrobe was closed and looked as if it had never been used, but that's because Amanda was so used to it being a mess that the look of it closed and tidy was slightly off putting as she stared at it.

Amanda had her 6 hours sleep and wasn't as drained feeling as she should have been, flights usually drained the life from her but last nights was surprisingly pleasant and didn't leave her feeling groggy or drained at all. So as soon as her alarm went off, she rose with ease and even set about tidying her room... Well, arranging her room to how it should be. She grabbed the first suitcase and emptied the contents onto her bed and started hanging them back into the wardrobe, and placing the shoes back in the drawer, for now it was a relatively organised sight, give it a day and it'll be the mess it always was.

As she put the last pair of shoes away and looked at the suitcases, she was fairly surprised to see she was finished, her suitcases had been emptied and all that sat on the bed was the gifts for Jensen, the very sight of them made a slight gasp escaped her lips.
"Oh yeah." It was a barely audible whisper to herself as she snatched her phone of the bedside table.

[To: Jensen x]
[Hey you! I only got back last night! I missed you and have something for you! xx]

She held the phone in her hands, impatiently awaiting his reply, and it showed because she early ran the shell pendant along the chain or was checking to see if he had replied, even the phone didn't buzz or whistle to indict he had, and when he didn't reply instantly she knew he mustn't have been awake yet and so decided to message the others to distract herself.

[To: Markus]
[Yo ho! Why weren't you on my flight? :O xD x]

[To: Aiden]
[I seriously hope you've nothing planned for this Orientation Day! How's you kiddo? Missed ya :3 x]

[To: Mari]
[Guess who's back, besides all the other people that aren't me? ;P Such a difficult question, I know, even I can't get it xD x]

Mark lay on his belly, his face buried deep into his pillow as a light snore glided around the room, he'd been told it was a cute snore but he doubted it many times, snores are cute, snores stop people from sleeping, they can't be cute, he's slept with enough snores to know... One snorer is enough to know they are not good sleeping companions. As he lay there in some semblance of peace, it wouldn't last much longer as his tablet started it's alarm, and he'd set it to an Electro playlist, therefore the alarm would be loud and energetic and he also set the tablet on his desk, not his bedside table, meaning he'd have to actually get up and out of bed to switch the damned thing off, but it rarely ever worked in waking him up, he'd just fall back on top of the covers and start snoozing again.

This time he had no such luxury, as his phone buzzed and played a short tone, the vibration making the phone go over the edge just that bit much more and falling down underneath his bed. He dropped his hand and tried to grab the phone at the awkward enough angle and when he realised he couldn't, an irritated groan escaped his lips.
"Oh fuck me!" Mark pushed himself of his bed and stood over the bed, his pyjamas hung low on his waist and his torso exposed to the entire room, if there was an audience he'd be ashamed and try and hide but instead he just looked in the mirror and sighed at himself before getting on all fours and grabbing his phone. Reading the message, he blew an extra bit of air out his lungs, making a slightly humoured sound.

To: Amanda Cartwright]
[I was in the CockPit, flying high kid! xD Lol jk, could ya imagine me in a gay club :O]

He hit send and then lay back on the bed, he thought about messaging one of his other friends but he simply didn't know what to say, he felt 'hey missed you, what's up' was too generic, a bunch of random swear words was too Belfast a way to say hello and generally didn't like messaging people first in case he bothered them. He rolled his eyes and grabbed a fresh and clean pair of underwear, cyan Calvin Kleins with the black waistband, and a pair of socks, cyan with a black rim, an odd thing to have matching, but he liked to keep his underwear matching, it was an odd quirk he had but it bothered no one, because no one ever saw them, well saw it more than twice, so must just assume he did it for the night or something, either way no one ever mentioned it.

Having showered and prepared appropriately, he returned to his room and pulled on a pair of dark blue spray-on skinny jeans with a plain blue shirt before heading into the shared living space, and he couldn't quite tell if Miles was even up, the living space was tidy, but it always was anyway, and his door was closed so Mark had no idea. Either way, he decided to make, eat and clean his breakfast loudly to wake his roommate up and when he didn't emerge, Mark sighed and rolled his eyes, before storming into the son of Ares bedroom.
"Oi! Pay attention to me being all loud and shit, wanker!" He shouted into the room, his voice wasn't raised but instead had a joking tone to it."

Upon blinking away the sleep from her eyes, clearing the thick, hazy blur that seemed to pollute her vision, Marilyn was met by the startling contrast of a billowy mass of raven locks against the cream hue of her pale pillow. The spilling, swirling strands had somehow gotten threaded between her slender fingers, which, in turn, were wrapped around the sleek rectangular shape of her phone, the screen blinking in indication that the playlist she had chosen to fall asleep to the night before had come to an end. Marilyn could still hear the bewitching melodies of soft jazz humming in her ears as she groggily propped herself up and plucked the earbuds out of her ears. As Marilynโ€™s phone whumped against the intricate pattern of a blanket that was unlike the one she had at her home in Arizona, it only served to remind her where she was; she was back at the Academy for another year and Marilyn was filled with the same sense of excitement which had been building for weeks until her arrival last night.

Though the way the light filtered through Marilynโ€™s windows indicated that it was still early morning, Marilyn, being both the daughter of the sun God and simply a morning person, paid no mind and set about to begin her day. The tasks she completed were menial and ordinary- she made her bed, unpacked the last articles of clothing from her suitcase, and got distracted with her guitar for a few minutes, plucking out a simple, upbeat tune- but her body was thrumming and buzzing with eagerness and anticipation for the day.

She didnโ€™t even try to stop the animated smile from appearing on her face while stretching out into a few basic yoga poses on the bright orange mat laid out on the hardwood flooring, despite it probably looking kind of creepy. Being back just filled her with a feeling of belonging that she admittedly didnโ€™t have at home and she wanted to be back with mingling with her demi-god friends and learning more about her powers. Aeonis was her home away from home, but it made her feel more comfortable than she ever was in her own house on the reserve.

After making herself presentable, dressing in a sheer, dark navy patterned top paired with black skinnies and fixing up her hair and makeup, Marilyn reached for the phone that she had abandoned on her bed. She had people to reach out to, after all!

Marilyn beamed at the other girlโ€™s cute message, shooting her a quick reply amongst some others.

[To: Mandy โ™ฅ]
[Who ever could you possibly be talking about? Perhaps a certain redhead?? lol Iโ€™m about to head out. Will I see you at breakfast? :D]

[To: TESS! ]
[Psst, are you awake? Because we should get some breakfast! Iโ€™m hungrrryyy! xD]

Sending out the last of her texts, Marilyn slung her bag over her shoulder and exited the room into the commons area of her dorm. Quietly, she crept up towards Kirenโ€™s, who Mari didnโ€™t know if she was still in there, door and rapped on the wood. โ€œYou up in there?โ€ She called.

The words were muffled at first, muted in that kind of way that is reminiscent of holding your head underwater, and they seemed miles away from Hugoโ€™s sleep-induced mind. They were nothing but a distant murmur, an unintelligible rumbling of an unidentifiable source. Perhaps, at the back of Hugoโ€™s mind, he had the capability to know what this source was, but at the current point in time, he was content to slip back into a deeper slumber and not have to worry about it. Only, the noises continued. The noises continued and they were getting louder and all the more clear, much to the sleeping boyโ€™s disdain.

The next thing he gained was the ability to realize that the same someone who was making all of the noise was also shaking at his bed. First, there was a large quake and then, for some god awful reason, this initial quake seemed to have set off a succession of smaller, more rapid quakes that had Hugoโ€™s body following along with the movements. Hugo could feel his own mind slowly rouse from the murky depths of sleep, but it was the familiar, poorly accented, feminine voice exclaiming dramatically, "Mi marido me dejรณ!" that had Hugo coming to a slight comprehensibility.

Sweet, sweet Priya. Why must you awaken him so?

Priya Aiken was not only one of his best friends, but the closest thing to a sister that a person could be without actually being related by blood. From the moment they met, they simply just โ€˜clickedโ€™. The British girl with a brilliant mind and penchant for his kind of humour, had laughed at all of his silly jokes and quips, even tossing a witty line or two herself. What was to be a moment of playful banter between two connoisseurs of comedy had grown into something so much more, evolving and developing into the wonderful, amazing thing they had today. With Nessa, Hugoโ€™s sister (on their fatherโ€™s side, of course), Hugo, and Priya combining forces, they were unstoppable.

After Priya threatened to jump on his bed, Hugo simply just groaned, attempting to burrow his way back into his covers. โ€œPriya,โ€ He croaked, his throat raspy and thick from disuse, โ€œGo away.โ€ But Hugo can feel her perched at the corner of his mattress, the surface dipping from her weight.

Perhaps Hypnos will take pity on him for once and allow Hugo to fall back into a deep slumber without Priya pestering him. Hell, Perhaps Priya will take pity on him for once and allow Hugo to go back to bed.

โ€œNo es de extraรฑar que tu marido te dejรณ .โ€ Hugo grumbled, pulling his dark blue covers over his bare torso and over his head and squeezing his eyes tightly shut.

Pajama's
&
Day Outfit
------------------------------------------
Kiren had gotten to the academy a day before orientation just because she had nothing better to do. That night she stayed up late settling back into her old dorm making it feel all homey like she has over the years. After fixing up her room Kiren went to sketching random things but ended up drawing Kade instead which drew a blush to her face. A small smile grew on her lips before she sighed happily and closed her sketch book placing it on the nightstand. Her shelves were stocked with different kinds of herbs and small potion bottles that were filled with liquids of all colors. Pushing herself up from her bed the young demi-god tiptoed over to her window and opened it letting the fresh outdoor air into her room which now smelled like vanilla and wet dirt which she thoroughly enjoyed.

When morning rolled around Kiren was still wide awake slipping and sliding across the floor of room with her headphones on listening to SuperLove by Charli xcx. Her head was moving to the beat and so was her hips, Kiren was having a blast brewing one of her little potions. The child of Hecate was glad that non of her friends were around to see her dancing in her pajamas, especially Kade because she was sure they'd laugh at her but if it was Kade then it was fine. Kiren would have laughed along with her and continue dancing. She was feeling the music through her body as she grabbed one of the dried flowers from one of her many jars and crunched it up into her pinkish looking liquid.

Her concoction was just about finished when her phone buzzed rather loudly. Grabbing it from the foot of the bed where she tossed it late last night Kiren saw that she had two text messages, one from Zoe and another from her lovely girlfriend. Smiling Kiren slid back over to her odd looking concoction, put her goggles over her eyes and dropped two cinnamon sticks in it that popped and fizzled for a minute before answering the texts.

Zo :
I missed you too! I'm still in my dorm, been up all night drawing and messing around with my little mad lab of a room. Gimmie about fifteen minutes to get dressed and I'll meet up with you! xoxoxo

Her thumb pressed the send button when she heard multiple small knocks at her door. Quickly opening the door she greeted her roommate Marilyn with an odd but funny sight of Kiren wearing her goggles and looking a bit silly. "Hello there Mari, yes I'm still here." she answered with a smile before sliding over to the small kitchen they both shared and grabbed a mug while turning on the stove and running back into her room holding her bowl of magic juice. "Gonna meet up with Zoe in a bit, made one of my magical energy tea's, want some? I promise this one doesn't taste bitter!." she exclaimed before putting the pink liquid in a pot and over the stove. "Should taste like pomegranate with a hint of cinnamon."

Kiren pulled her phone up to her face so she could answer her girlfriends text.

My Goddess:
Aww so flattering :) Got to the academy a day early and running on zero sleep! Can't wait to see you! Gonna give you a big kiss <3

Kiren finished her text with a selfie she took with her goggles on looking adorably silly and sent it to Kade with a big smile on her face. Over the summer Kiren had changed her girlfriends nickname on her phone to her goddess and if Kade ever saw that Kiren wouldn't be able to fight off the deep red blush that would consume her cheeks. Running into her room real quick the demi-god threw on her outfit for the day since she took a shower around earlier and ran back out taking the tea off the stove and shut it off. "So what will it be hun? Wanna test it out?" she said with a slight playful tone in her voice.

Amanda immediately looked at her phone screen when the phone whistled, obviously the contents of her phone where hidden behind a lock pattern, which oddly enough was in the shape of a heart when what she really wanted it to be was two downward arrows. As she connected the final pin, her phone buzzed twice again, Amanda smiled to herself, she had made good friends who replied when they got the message."Look who's popular today." She said to herself, bobbing her head left and right gently.

[From: Markus]
[I was in the CockPit, flying high kid! xD Lol jk, could ya imagine me in a gay club :O]

[To: Markus]
[Oh dear god, the image! Please take it back! I feel violated! x]

[From: Jensen x]
[Oh you got me something? Is it see through? ;) I might have something for you too. See ya in a bit.]

[To: Jensen x]
[Hahaha xD There's more than one thing, maybe something see-through is one of them ;P xx]

Amanda chuckled at her message, she loved to tease him just as much as she thought she loved him, an emotion she tried her best to bury down encase he didn't feel the same way, and thinking about it made her smile falter just enough for most people to notice, after all, she was a rather bubbly and eccentric person, a weak smile on her face, didn't tend to bode well.

[From: Aiden]
[Not yet. Maybe once I've had my first cup of tea. You should know better than to miss me. ;) A new school year and a new batch of freshmen to breakup.]

Amanda let out another giggle, she was easily humoured these days, maybe being back home wasn't as much fun as she had thought it was, afterall she was only in Belfast, most interesting thing there was a hill and you didn't really want to go near it past 6 in the evening.
[To: Aiden]
[I hope you can feel the eyeroll! xD Hey, you're like my lil bro! I'll miss you, if I wanna miss you! x
Ps. Freshmen's in love? What is this High School Musical? Come on, Aiden, breaking them up is as easy as me liking one of his statuses and commenting 'lol x']

A slight smirk stretched up her left cheek as she sent the not too sassy, but the sass was certainly intended, message to Aiden. They had fun playing their little game, nearly almost every time Amanda has won, but he sometimes gets the upper hand and proves Amanda wrong, albeit temporarily. Amanda was pulled from her slight daze when her phone buzzed again in her hand.

[From: Mari]
[Who ever could you possibly be talking about? Perhaps a certain redhead?? lol Iโ€™m about to head out. Will I see you at breakfast? :D]

Amanda chuckled at Mari's response, Mari was one of the few people who let Amanda be her quirky self without calling her out as weird or creepy, well on occasion she would, but they were just in a jokey way.
[To: Mari]
[YOU'VE REPLACED ME WITH ANOTHER REDHEAD! :O How dare ye?! What about all the banter and craic we have? Did it mean nothing?! Well you can forget your present!
P.S. I may be a bit late to breakfast, gonna catch up with Jensen and then come down :3 x]

Sometimes Amanda worried herself with her weirdness but she didn't let it stop her from hitting send, she only just hoped Mari wouldn't see it as too weird, but then again Mari was used to how odd she was now.

Tess had stayed up late. Really late. As in ten o'clock late. She had finished the project she had been working on, smiling down at the results proudly before passing out as she tried to finish drawing blueprints for the machine in case someone else wanted to make it eventually. It was a tiny little firefly that lit up and acted as a nightlight. It actually flew around and everything too!

Tess already had a couple others ready, just waiting for the time to screw in the light bulb. She had done so, allowing the fireflies to take flight in her room before her exhaustion overcame her. She woke in the morning to a text, and a crick in her neck. She rolled it out as she sat up, yawning and wiping at her eyes before grabbing for her phone and seeing who texted.

Marilyn had texted her and Tess smiled. She considered what to write back, realizing she wasn't very good at texting whatsoever. She thought a moment as she dressed, putting on a pair of black shorts that had high waist, like a sailor, along with a light blue and white striped shirt. Her little boots were black and had little flowers on the inside though those weren't available to the eye of people. She grabbed a hat, one that was straw and had a black ribbon on it to keep the sun from her eyes as she went about her day. Finally, deciding what would be the best response, Tess texted Marilyn back.

[To: Marilyn]
Yeah, I'll be downstairs in a few. Food! :)

As soon as Tess sent it she sighed, hating the message. She was so stupid sometimes. Suddenly however, she was feeling rather brave. She took a deep breath, sitting on her bed and sending out a text that sent her heart racing.

[To: Hugo <3]
Hey, going to eat food, wanna come with?

Tess was mortified as she set her phone down. What was she doing? Why was she doing that? Why was she so stupid? Why would Hugo think anything of her being more than a softspoken girl who was a little too small and a little too masculine. Not many guys liked a chick that could fix a car while they couldn't. Not many guys liked a girl who actually knew how to build a car from scratch when they couldn't.

Tess walked into her bathroom to brush her teeth, even adding a little mascara since her friends had been insisting she wear a little makeup for whatever reason. Tess then left, going to her little kitchen where she grabbed a small cup and began making coffee. She needed coffee. She really needed coffee. It was one of the Hephaestus children's favorite thing in the world. Coffee. It kept them up all night and allowed them to work on many projects and get things done when things might not otherwise get done.

Tess walked downstairs, nursing her little cup of coffee that she had put into a to go cup, not wanting to risk waking Otter from the noise she might make otherwise since she could be clumsy sometimes. Tess hunched her shoulders slightly as she walked, as if protecting her coffee. She caught sight of Lucca D'Antonio as he jogged towards her since she was now on the bottom floor of the dormitory. He made sure to slow himself in order to see her.

"Hey Tess, so, have you texted him yet?" Lucca asked as he moved to take Tess's phone from her pocket though she pulled away from him causing him to pout slightly. "Tessa, you must talk to a boy in order to get him to talk back to you," Lucca said gently in an encouraging way. She sighed and he smiled at her, giving her encouragement.

"I texted him but it was stupid," Tess sighed as she looked into her coffee. Lucca smiled at her, rubbing her back gently like an older brother. She smiled up at him as he said, "Just keep trying, and don't forget I'm here for you Tess."

Lucca gave her a little hug, then jogged off to wherever he was going. Tess smiled after him before moving to wait for Marilyn, wanting to check her phone every moment as she waited for a response from Hugo at the same time.

The sight, as odd as it was, was a welcome one, almost all-too-natural in Marilyn's eyes; There Kiren Vause, roommate and potion making extraordinaire, stood in her pajamas- socks on and a pair of mint green headphones brushing against her collarbone. The safety goggles she wore dwarfed her features, though they didn't take away from her beauty and she looked as wonderful as usual. The expressiveness of her eyes reflected a sort of brightness this morning and Marilyn was sure that Kiren had been dancing about her room at some time in the morning. Marilyn had caught Kiren doing so on quite a few occasions, Kiren's head bobbing and her hips moving from a beat that resounded from her headphones. The Navajo girl would either slip away from the scene giggling or even join in with Kiren, her own hips moving in with the muted tune. Marilyn missed this; she missed Kiren.

"It's almost as if you hadn't been gone at all. I feel like the last time I saw you, you were brewing something up," Marilyn teased good-naturedly, a fond smile growing across her face as she followed Kiren's rapid footsteps to the small kitchen they both shared. It had all of the basics: a rounded counter top on one end with a sink in the center of it and small stove area just across from it that was adjacent to the tall fridge. The one thing that was truly a sight to behold in their kitchen, however, were the spice racks. Perhaps a few of the clear jars were filled with the regular spices - dried basil, cumin, sweet chilli powder - but the others contained an out of the ordinary array of dried wildflowers, edible weeds, and diced unknowns. What else would you expect from one child of Hecate and a girl of Native American heritage with a background in herbal medicine?

As Kiren took refuge in her bedroom and got dressed, Marilyn peeked in the pot. Lifting the lid cautiously, she peeked inside to see a concoction that looked innocent enough and the pleasant scent of pomegranate and cinnamon wafted towards her. "I'll take your word for it this time. It smells great!" Marilyn called out, regarding Kiren's statement about the possible bitterness. Let Marilyn tell you that being the first in line guinea pig for some of Kiren's sour and bitter potions for 'strength' or 'better skin' is not always the greatest. Still, Marilyn tried them. Most of them worked quite well in the end. "Sure, why not!" Marilyn said surely, pulling a sea-foam green mug out of the cupboard and tipping it in Kiren's direction.

Suddenly, the thought popping into her head, Marilyn recalled the gifts she brought back from her reserve to give out to her friends. Excitedly, she places the mug back onto the counter, "But first I have something for you!" Without waiting for Kiren's reply, Marilyn dashes into her bedroom and grabs a small black baggy made of velvet fabric and returns back to her original position. The contents of the bag clattered as she searched, eventually pulling out the bracelet that she had picked out for Kiren. She pushed the bangle into Kiren's hand as she spoke, "A woman on my reserve collects wildflowers and turns them into jewelry- I thought you'd like this one." Marilyn couldn't help the way her lips curled at the corners of her mouth in anticipation. "They're real flowers in there! I thought they so pretty, so I bought a couple for friends!"

The soft vibrations of her phone in her hand pulled Marilyn's attention away from Kiren for a split second.

[From Mandyโ™ฅ]
[YOU'VE REPLACED ME WITH ANOTHER REDHEAD! :O How dare ye?! What about all the banter and craic we have? Did it mean nothing?! Well you can forget your present!
P.S. I may be a bit late to breakfast, gonna catch up with Jensen and then come down :3 x]

Marilyn could barely suppress her giggle when Amanda's distinct Northern Irish accent came to mind as Marilyn read the message. Marilyn loved the girl to bits and pieces- weirdness and all.

[To Mandyโ™ฅ]
[ WELL FINE! PERHAPS MY NEW REDHEADED FRIEND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE PRESENT I WAS SUPPOSED TO GIVE TO YOU >:( I'm kidding, you're the only redhead for me <3 Come find me after your visit :) ]

[From TESS!]
[ Yeah, I'll be downstairs in a few. Food! :) ]

[To TESS!]
[I'll meet you half way and we can head over there together! :D]

Placing her phone back into her pocket, Marilyn's attentions turned back to Kiren and she motioned to her mug for some of the concoction. "I'm going to meet up with Tess and Amanda after this myself. Grab some breakfast before orientation!"

Tess managed to smile down at her phone as she saw Marilyn text her back. She stood outside her dormitory, waiting for Marilyn to join her as she stood there. She reached into her pocket to grab a couple screws and gears and other things to begin fiddling with.

A moment or so ater, Tess got a text back. She accidentally dropped a few gears and sighed before slipping the project in her pocket and reaching for her phone, grumbling slightly. Who was texting her? When she looked at who it was from, she died. Not literally, but if she was asked, she had gone to Hades and come back.

Hugo had texted her. Had he text her? Really? What had he said? Did Lucca give him her number like Lucca had given her his number? Had he really done it? Would Tess even be able to read the text? What if he said he hated her?

Tess finally stole a glance and saw what Hugo responded with. She died all over again. Lucca hadn't given him her number. He thought she was a stalker. Why had she texted him? Maybe he was just pretending not to know her. Maybe Lucca had given her the wrong number... She covered her face, managing to look down at the phone again to make sure she hadn't just had a nightmare. It was still there. She was dead.

She managed to gain enough confidence and dignity to text Lucca.

[To: Lucca]
You jerk. I just embarrassed myself to death. Don't make me talk to boys by myself, I say all the wrong things.

Tess knew it was kind of over dramatic, but she didn't care. She wanted to go hide. She sighed, resigning herself to admitting he probably just wasn't interested and was trying to let her down easily since he was bound to know. How could cute guys not know when a girl, however different or strange they might be, like them? They could basically read minds from all Tessa could tell.

A moment later, Tess received a text back from Lucca.

[From: Lucca]
Tess, calm down. You aren't dead yet. Just go say hi to him.

Tess looked at her phone horrified at the idea. How could she go talk to him? She was too scared to go talk to her friends who were popular much less Hugo Rojas.

[To: Lucca]
It's not gonna happen Lucca. He probably isn't even interested.

Tess sighed, deciding she'd just skip breakfast. She didn't want to face him. Her stomach grumbled but Tessa scowled down at it. She sighed before texting Marilyn.

[To: Marilyn]
I think I'm just gonna go work in the shop. Not really hungry.

Tess felt her shoulders slump as she tucked her phone back into her pocket before heading towards a workshop for the Hephaestus kids. It was also occasionally used by the powers control class since Hephaestus kids did need to control their building and designing abilities.

Tess went to her table, clean without a screw out of place. She pulled the little automaton closer to her and began working on the back of the head. The little machine was a human, the face modeled after Aphrodite in one of her forms in hopes the goddess would then want to bless Tess's love life, or just make Tess more confident to talk to those in her love life.

She felt bad for abandoning Marilyn for breakfast, but she wasn't up to seeing people that had boyfriends and girlfriends. Besides, she'd probably end up sitting by herself or just tinkering instead of eating anyway. At least she could keep working on the project she hadn't been able to finish the year before before summer came around.

She sighed before realizing it was probably not a cool thing to do. She was hungry. Tessa groaned at her indecision. Standing, she left her dirty worktable and left for the cafeteria. She saw her weapons teacher sitting by himself with his wolf pup Cody and gave him a wave which he returned.

Tess moved to grab a carton of orange juice along with a piece of toast before going to sit at an empty table, as she searched for Marilyn, but didn't see her. Tessa exercised self control, refusing to look at the table she knew Hugo was at.

Her own table was to the far side of the cafeteria. She didn't wait for Marilyn before eating the toast, then taking out the screws and gears in her pocket to keep going on whatever she was making. At this rate, it looked like a little hand from what Tess had done so far. There was a thumb and a pointer finger though the other fingers weren't done yet. She didn't know why her automatic go to was to build a hand. Maybe because they could always help by holding something when needed. It was definitely helpful when working on an intense project that involved many, many small and large pieces.

She worked quietly, sighing here and there when something wouldn't do what she wanted it to or her fingers couldn't manipulate the pieces into the right spots. She was thankful that her little mini projects took her mind of people, especially hot people who spoke spanish and were beautiful but didn't know that their friend gave you their phone number.

While Priya was using a particularly cruel method to wake Hugo from his deep slumber, Scott slunk back to his own room, closing his door in an attempt to block out the sounds of shrieking and laughter seeping through the thin walls. He couldn't help but grumble to himself as he crossed his room, bemoaning not for the first time the poor luck that had seen him paired with Hugo Rojas as a dorm mate. It wasn't just that the thief got on Scott's nerves, but that his friends were also loud. Sure, he had nothing against Priya Aiken, but there were times and places for shouting, and this early in the morning was not one of those times.

Turning the tap of the shower on, Scott removed his pyjama pants and stepped beneath the shower jets. Closing his eyes Scott drowned out the sound of his dorm mate's awakening, instead concentrating on the sound of the water pelting against his skin. A flick of his hand saw the water increasing its pressure, and a small smile played across his face as he focused solely on the liquid racing over his skin. By the time Scott was stepping out of the shower all noise from his neighbour's room had ceased, Hugo and Priya obviously having left already. Releasing a sigh of relief because his interactions with Hugo would again be postponed, Scott pulled a towel around his hips and wondered into his bedroom. Clothes were quickly pulled from his suitcase and within minutes the young man was dressed and pulling on a pair of shoes. It was only then that he noticed the flashing light on his cellphone, an indication that he had at least one message waiting for his attention.

Grabbing his cellphone Scott swiped it awake, tapping open his messages folder and finding two texts awaiting him. Zoe Yeoman and Marilyn Tsinajinnie, by the looks of things. Both girls were bubbly and bright, their extroverted, friendly natures seeming the exact opposite of Scott's own introverted personality, and yet he was more than happy to consider both among his group of friends. Really, he probably had to thank their persistence and social attitudes to the friendships, rather than his own reticent nature. He was more like to hide in the corner not saying a word than reach out to a potential new friend. Thankfully, both girls had persisted in their pursuit of friendship, and the least he could do now was return their morning texts. However, Scott did raise an eyebrow at Zoe's use of the term 'stud'. He sincerely hoped she was joking, knowing the daughter of Hermes it was probably safe to say she was.

    To Zoe Yeoman
    Stud? Really Zoe?
I may have missed you, not your nicknames though.

He paused as he wrote the message out, wondering if he should invite her to breakfast. In the end Scott decided against it, knowing that if she felt the need for food she would undoubtedly appear in the cafeteria anyway and he could flag her down there.

    To Marzipan
Let me know when you're free, a catch up would be great.

Scott wasn't the most text-savvy individual. While others could write novels over the phone, he tended to stick with the basics. Really, when you considered that he barely spoke aloud, it was no surprise that his texts lacked content. He also needed to change Mari's name on his phone back to something normal, or at least so he told himself every time he saw 'Marizpan' flash up on his screen. She'd edited her name in his contacts some time ago from the overly formal 'Marilyn Tsinajinnie' that he had put in, and he'd yet to edit it back. Though he wouldn't do it now. Instead, Scott slid his phone into his pocket, grabbed his room keys, and left the dorm.

His feet took him toward the cafeteria, where a stunning breakfast was no doubt being cooked up. Usually Scott took breakfast in his dorm, but he'd had no time to stock up on essential food supplies yet, so it was towards the busy canteen he went. Yet, he was only a few steps out of the male dorm when he spotted a figure leaving the female dorm. Scott attempted to duck his head and draw as little attention as he possibly could, but when you're 6'2" it's not so easy to hide in plain sight. Before he knew it a female voice with a distinctive Australian lilt called out to him, and he looked up with a frown as Isabel Nolan came to a stop in front of him.

"Hey Scottie, holidays treat you well?" She purred, grinning up at the tall young man, "I know you'd rather be hiding away in some dark, lonely, boring corner than actually have any fun, but Cece and I are throwing a party tonight and it'd be a crime if we didn't get to see your pretty face there." As she speaks, Izzy's hand comes up to pat Scott's cheek and she merely smirks as Poseidon's son clenches his jaw before continuing, "Who knows, perhaps a few drinks will loosen you up and you might some have actual fun for once. Miracles do happen." The girl offers Scott a wink while the hand on his cheek falls to brush across his arm, and then, thankfully, she's off. Scott let's out a sigh of relief and pent up irritation as he watches Isabel Nolan depart, pleased to see the back of her. Her attitude and blatant flirting has never sat well with him and he'd avoid the party for the sole reason of avoiding her if he could.

Taking a moment to contain his annoyance, Scott takes a deep breath before setting his feet down an alternate path to the cafeteria than the one Isabel took. Anger management and controlling his moods has always been a problem for Scott, and he finds taking a moment alone to reflect always helps in some way. Yet, it's hard to find any quiet spot to think at the school. As he turns a corner he almost runs into a pair of Hades' children finishing a cigarette. He knows neither of them well and skirts the pair without a word. A sudden urge to rewatch Game of Thrones comes to him then, yet the television series would have to wait until at least after breakfast. For now he can see the cafeteria doors and prepares himself for the inevitable barrage of noise that is sure to erupt the moment he steps through.

Day Outfit
------------------------------------------
Kiren giggled at Marilyn's comment about always brewing something because it was kind of true. If Kiren wasn't hanging out with Kade or any of her friends she would either be entertaining herself with something scary to read, netflix or brewing up something new. When Mari went off into her room to grab the present she mentioned, Kiren realized that she missed her roommate. They have been roommates for so long that it just felt normal when she came back to the dorm, like she never left. Smiling to herself because of that thought Kiren snapped out of it went Marilyn came back into the room. The demi-god felt touched that her roommate got her a gift and eager to see what it was but to Kiren anything from Marilyn was fine because they both almost have the same taste in things plus it's the thought that counts. Her phone suddenly vibrated in her pocket but since she was busy being excited she didn't feel it.

When Marilyn came back out and handed the bracelet to her, Kiren gasped softly with a sparkly look in her eyes. "Holy crap! It's beautiful Mari!" she said rather excitedly as she rose it up to the light in order to view the flowers better. "Honestly, it's awesome, thank you." Kiren smiled before giving the girl a tight hug and slipping the bracelet over her wrist. "I'm going to wear it all day, but I wish I could have gotten you something . . . " she trailed off for a second. "I really didn't go anywhere for the summer and was stuck in the house most days so there really wasn't anything worth buying that was worthy of my friends, you guys are just too awesome. " her lips tilted up into a smile at the end before pouring some of her potion into Mari's mug.

"I'm going to meet up with Tess and Amanda after this myself. Grab some breakfast before orientation!" said Marilyn and Kiren nodded while pouring herself a mug and blowing on it softly so it'll cool down faster. "Sounds fun! Matter of fact I was about to head out also to go see Zo but I wanted to wait until Kade got her-" her phone vibrated again and Kiren noticed this time taking it out and reading through two texts that were sent by Kade. All of a sudden that smile reappeared on her lips again as her cheeks lit up slightly just at the thought of seeing her girlfriend again. "Speak of the devil, Kade is here!" her smile didn't fade and her heart fluttered in her chest.

Sipping at her potion that actually tasted really good Kiren began to text back.

To My Goddess:
YAY! I'll be out my dorm in a second.

By the time she finished that text Kiren had already nervously sipped through half her mug. Right before she was about to put her phone away though it vibrated again this time a text popping up from one of her closest friends, Shyroe and her little sister Otter.

From Roey:
Hi Kiren! I was wondering where you are, I'm just about to go outside to see if I can find August.'

To Roey:
I'll meet up with you in orientation, we can do something after! Hang out? Have some fun maybe with friends? See you later my lovely love! :)

From Lil Sis:
Hey! When are we catching up? I miss my sis. (:

To Lil Sis:
You my little one I have missed a lot even though I texted you just last night, lol. You my dear are special and if you want we can hang out tonight and watch, wait for it, MOVIES! :D Just binge watch on whatever we want!

With that sent Kiren swallowed the rest of the pink liquid that was now a bit cooler so it didn't burn as much when it went down. "Okay, that's done! Should be feeling the kick of energy in about ten minutes." she spoke as her feet moved across the floor over to her room as she retrieved her wallet from the night stand and came back out. "I'm all set!" she smiled before giving Mari a peck on the cheek and waved good by. "I'll see you at orientation, let's grab a bunch of friends after and do something fun."

Kiren was halfway out the door by now when she stopped for a second. "Thank you for the gift, I love youuuuu!" her voice echoed a bit as she let the room, she still could be heard saying the 'you' part even as she reached the end of the hall.

Once outside Kiren shun her eyes from the sun as she squinted. It took a second for her eyes to adjust but after they did she was on her merry way to meet Kade, well, she had to find her first. Wandering for a couple of minutes her mind went back to Zoe. Ah, Crap! Pulling out her phone quickly Kiren sent out a fast text to let Zoe know that she would meet her at orientation, Kade just got here and she needed to see her. Honestly Kiren really was looking forward to hanging out with Zo before orientation but she hasn't seen Kade all summer and wanted to hug and kiss her girlfriend right now.

After a few more minutes of walking Kiren finally saw Kade in the distance. The butterflies that were in her stomach earlier had returned and her heart was pounding louder and louder the closer she got to her with each footstep. When Kiren finally got to her she smiled and gave her a big hug, oblivious to anything she was holding. Hugging Kade right now made her feel good, safe and happy. When Kiren pulled away from the hug her hands instinctively placed themselves gently on the side of her head as she closed the gap between their lips. The young demi-god stayed like that for a couple of second before pulling away once more with a goofy, love-drunk smile on her face. "Hi." she giggled before her cheeks flushed a deeper red when she noticed Dimitri behind her. "Hi there Dimitri." she greeted with one of her rare shy smiles. The girls sparkling eyes wandered back to her girlfriends, smirking as she did.

Amanda rolled her eyes when Jensen called her out on missing her, before retorting. "Oh please, the only thing I missed from here was the sun." She teased him, hesitating before finishing her sentence with a sly grin. "It's be stupid to miss you, you aren't from here." Placing the bag in his lap after taking the seat next to him, she fidgeted nervously with her hands, rubbing them together until he lifted her head up with his finger and kissed her, a wave of relief rolled over her and her bright smile returned when he pulled away.

When Jensen lifted her gifts from the bag, Amanda bit her lower lip with excitement, she couldn't see past his huge shoulders as he bent down to retrieve them, and when he told her what they were she tilted her head and, with a smile, scolded him. "Hey, don't spoil the surprise." She gave him a light nudge as she shook her head. "Imma just pretend, I didn't know what they were." When she finally saw them, her face was that of pure surprise, she wasn't even faking it she genuinely was surprised. "Whoever told you, you weren't got at gifts... They're an idiot." Amanda took both the gifts from him with the utmost delicacy. "You said this was the last book in the shop? The rarest version, a first edition, and the last in stock." Amanda looked up at him, her smile was humble yet brighter than anything. She looked back down at the shell and admired it's shape, it's pattern, it's colour, her smile couldn't have gotten any brighter. "I should just send you out shell hunting for me." She teased him, with another nudge. "Thank you, Jensen, these are amazing gifts. I love... them." Amanda hesitated, she had to stop herself from saying you and mentally slapped herself, perhaps she could play it off as shock over the gifts. She gently set the book and shell beside her, before tenderly pulling him in for a kiss, a light peck in place of a full on kiss. Before gently moving her gifts to a much safer position on her bookcase and listening to his summer.

Her eyebrows furrowed when he mocked her use of the word 'mum', in place of the american 'mom', she rolled her eyes as she returned to her seat. She laughed at his joke about inFamous, it was one of the few games she had actually completed, well she completed First Light and watched her brother play Second Son, she basically played it. "That was a good game..." She heard herself mutter before shaking her head and returning to the conversation. "Well I'm glad you had fun without me!" She pretended to be annoyed at him, even if he could see right through the joke because she was as melodramatic as ever, she threw her hands up and even twisted her body round so as she wasn't facing him. Amanda twisted back when Jensen apologised for being late, she simply rolled her eyes with a smile. "It's okay... To be perfectly honest, I wasn't even ready..." She admitted with no humility, hoping to cheer him up and make him forget about the incident. When he kissed her, she didn't let him pulled back so quickly, instead she made it several kisses instead of just his intended singular kiss.

Amanda simply shrugged when Jensen asked about her summer, she was put on the spot and her mind drew a blank. "I hung out with my family?" She asked herself, slowly nodding her head as if to tell herself she did indeed do that. "Dad was working a lot, so didn't really get to see as much as I had hoped, I mean he had like 2 weeks off and we did loads, but it wasn't nearly as much time as I'd hoped." She shrugged, a slight sadness to her smile at that point. "But I got to spend more than enough time with my step-mum and step-brother, as well as my sister." Her smile was more reinforced, but remembering she didn't get to see much of her dad had left a lingering sadness in her eyes. "Oh and my aunt!" She excitedly added in, forgetting she'd spent time with her aunt and her husband.

Amanda hadn't even noticed her phone until Jensen pointed out the messages she had received and joked at being jealous, to which she seriously replied. "It's Mari, Aiden and Kyle," However, followed it up with a sarcastic finishing phrase. "Oh yeah, they swooped in while you were gone. Sorry about that." Amanda fought with herself as Jensen kissed down her neck, he knew that was her one spot and Amanda hated not replying to texts, even if it would be rude in company, she was at a loss. But she eventually gave in and left the phone to the side, twisting to met Jensen's mouth, stopping him from kissing her neck, she pushed him back on the bed and climbed on top of him, kissing him intensely as she did so.

***

Amanda lay under the covers, her leg resting on top of Jensen's, her chin rested on her hands which were placed on his chest,
"Well, maybe I did miss you." She teased before grabbing her phone and reading the messages.

[From: Aiden]
[I hope the its facial features are perfectly symmetrical. I want the prettiest toad around. I believe what's important is what they believe in >;3]

[To: Aiden]
[I'm going to pick out the most Christianly devout frog, a frog that only swims in the holiest of waters. x]

Amanda quickly typed the message, smirking to herself as she did so.

[From: Mari]
[ WELL FINE! PERHAPS MY NEW REDHEADED FRIEND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE PRESENT I WAS SUPPOSED TO GIVE TO YOU >:( I'm kidding, you're the only redhead for me <3 Come find me after your visit :) ]

Amanda chuckled to herself, she didn't care if Jensen found her weird for it, he was stuck with her weirdness.
[To: Mari]
[NO! COME BACK SENPAI| I LOVE YOU LONG TIME! T.T Lol so am I... I don't love you, pfft! I shall, will I bring your gift to the breakyfast of give it to you later? x]

[From: Kylie]
[Not bad, just reading comic books, playing videogames and missing Comic Con and E3. So, overall, it was alright, but I had too experience both from my computer desk chair. Anyway. I would come over and talk to you in person but I want to think about what just happened over here.]

Amanda heard the door knock from her room and she went to answer it as she typed a reply to Kyle.
[To: Kylie]
[Damn that mustn't have been comfortable, some video games last hours xD What just happened where? Oh my god, did Aiden blow something up? Are you alright? x]

Amanda tossed her phone beside her and returned her attention to Jensen, "And I'm all yours again." She looked at the clock on her bedside. "For about 10 minutes, we should get some breakfast before we have to go to this Orientation day, which feels weird, something seems off about this year... I think it might just be because it's our last year." She shrugged it off before going red and realising she was talking too much.

Mark didn't linger in Miles doorway for too long, instead he merely shouted the abuse at his roommate before returning to his own room of the dorm, no doubt everyone would be eating breakfast together and catching up with their friends and he had stupidly eaten the food in his kitchen, but then again he could go for a second help, not like the staff would complain, or even know for that matter.

Just as he contemplated going to the cafeteria for his second breakfast, his phone buzzed along his shelf, snatching the phone he smiled at the message, he hadn't messaged anyone but Amanda and he hung out with her over summer, Izzy messaged him first and prompted him to message a few others, replying to her first of course.

[From: Isabel Nolan]
[MARK! Party, tonight. You, me, a bunch load of alcohol and some of your fresh made fruit.
Please and thank you.
Your fav, Izzy]

[To: Isabel Nolan]
[IZZY!!! I feel like you're only using me for my sweet fruits :O I am mortally offended, all one of my man feelings hurt! xD Jk of course I'll be there, hey I saw this video while I was home, we're doing this tonight! Hopefully I'll see you at breakfast for a bit :3
From one of your many favs, Mark, obviously]

Mark flicked through his contacts till he found Hugo, he opened to send him a message but it took him a few minutes to think of anything to send him.

[To: Hugo Rojas]
[What up my Puta? I'm heading to the cafeteria for my second breaky! Doubtful they'll have any soda or fadge, wtf is a Norn Irish man to do with himself if they aren't included in breakfast!!! :O]

Mark had taught Hugo a few of his native slang words and Mark hoped Hugo hadn't remembered the teachings, that way Hugo could think Mark was talking about a fizzy drink and that his summer home turned him straight or bi, when in reality, all he was on about was 2 types of bread.

He then found Marilyn's contact and typed her a message,

[To: Marilyn Tsinajinnie]
[Hey Mari! I have most certainly missed you getting my slang wrong! Although if you do it these year, I think I may have to give you an F on your Northern Irish citizenship test :D I'm heading for breakfast, see you down there? :P]

Mark grabbed his keys and pocketed both them and his phone before leaving his dorm and making his way for the cafeteria for a second helping of breakfast and a chance to see his friends again. Mark even wondered what Castor was doing and how his summer was, but going to see a teacher on the first day before all of your friends would be an unwise move, even if he was enjoying his company more than was professional, but they were both adults and the Academy is founded by Greek Gods, they don't really care what goes on, but either way Mark decided to just message Castor instead of actually going to visit him, before pocketing his phone and heading on to the cafeteria.

[To: Castor Lancaster]
[Hey you, what's up? How was your summer?]

Marilyn giggled at the distant 'I love you' that echoed from the far end of the hallway, cheek still warm from the friendly kiss of a dearly missed friend. Watching Kiren scuttle about as she did brought merriment to her heart. Though in the end, Kiren's quick departure gave Marilyn little time to compliment her on the pleasantly fruity flavour of her convocation, one which was not too sweet and not too sour, unlike potions in the past. The kick of cinnamon left a refreshing tingle at the back of her mouth as she downed the last of the beverage, the heat of it not bothering the daughter of Apollo. The spicy zest lingered, even when Marilyn collected herself and slipped on her shoes. With a simple flick of a wrist, the lights flicked off and, once satisfied with the darkness of the room, Marilyn was off to the cafeteria.

Though Marilyn was eager to visit her friends, she couldn't help but slow her stride to lengthen the time she had to admire the academy. Of course the academy was something to be admired for it's intricate infrastructure, every stone, brick, and plank placed in a way that constructed a stunning visual. Also, Greece was something wonderful and breathtaking, especially for Marilyn who hadn't traveled further than out of her state growing up. However, at this time of year, when the leaves turned a vibrant array of red, orange, and yellow, it was more beautiful than ever. Even the air at a different taste; it was clean and crisp and just smelled like autumn.

Marilyn's steps faltered, becoming an odd, uneven gait as she became once again distracted by the messages appearing on her phone.

[From: TESS!]
[I think I'm just gonna go work in the shop. Not really hungry.]

Marilyn's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. This was unlike Tess- well, not unlike her to constantly be in her workshop, but it was definitely strange for her to back out of their meetings so suddenly.

[To: TESS!]
[What's up? Something happen? :( I can bring you a muffin or toast or something? ]

[From: The Grumpy Scotsman >:( ]
[ Let me know when you're free, a catch up would be great ]

[ To: The Grumpy Scotsman >:( ]

[From: Mandyโ™ฅ]

[To: Mandyโ™ฅ]
[ Present, gimme <3 I'm almost at the cafeteria and Tess bailed on me :( Come love me? ]

[From: Curly (Markusโ™ฅ)]
[Hey Mari! I have most certainly missed you getting my slang wrong! Although if you do it these year, I think I may have to give you an F on your Northern Irish citizenship test :D I'm heading for breakfast, see you down there? :P]

[To: Curly (Markusโ™ฅ)]
[ Do you think I came up the Lagan in a bubble? Quit faffin' about, our criac is fun!!! I missed you, Curly <3 I'll meet you in the cafeteria ]

Marilyn sighed fondly at Scott's overly formal way of texting and Mandy's completely informal, weird thoughts, the hole in her heart that had opened up over the summer being filled with the reappearance of close friends. The excitement of meeting up with friends intensified just as she came up to the cafeteria. Even from her current position at the entrance, she could smell the mouthwatering scents of freshly baked breads and newly toasted toast, breakfast sausages and bacon, and waffles, pancakes, and french toast. The aroma had her stomach grumbling as she hurriedly pressed on into the cafeteria.

Marilyn was met with the familiar sight of the cafeteria and it seemed that she had gotten there a bit late, for it was now filled with demi-gods on the prowl for breakfast before orientation. Marilyn would see a familiar flash of chestnut colored hair or hear a recognizable deep, resounding voice, but for now, searching for old friends will have to wait until she's grabbed herself some food. Her first instinct, as she loaded her tray, was go to for a fruit salad; the dish featured a mixture of glistening fruit and her favorite fruit, the pineapple, was abundant in her choice. Along with that, she grabbed herself a couple of Weetabix biscuits and a glass skim milk. What surprised her as she spun around in search of a table, however, was seeing Tess sitting by herself at one of the tables. Hadn't she said that she was going to be in her workroom? Nonetheless, she prowled over to where the blonde beauty sat and slid into the empty seat in front of her.

"Hey! I thought you said you'd be in your workroom." She ebbed, curiosity lacing her voice.

Daniel looked up in time to see Otter opening the door. He flashed a smile. At that point, he had slowly sunk down further and further, basically laying on the floor with his head being propped up by the wall, his hands resting on his stomach.

Daniel moved to stand, leaning on the wall with his hands in his pockets as he looked to Otter. Then he saw Aiden. He wasn't sure what he was expecting since he had told her half brother that Otter needed him, and he had though he had heard Aiden's voice going into Otter's room, but it certainly wasn't seeing him.

"Hey Otter, Aiden," Daniel stated, just barely refraining from using another name. He wanted to say something else. Anything else. But he didn't want to humanize the jerk. He made it appear like he was coughing, restraining even putting a name in there. It was amazing how much self control Daniel actually had.

"Yeah, well, a guy tends to want to know the answer to asking someone out as quickly as possible. Not that, you know... I'm like all guys," Daniel stated, struggling to find words that didn't make him seem weird or typical. He stood, just giving an almost smile as he tried to not act like he was getting eaten up on the inside. Naveen was a cool guy, and he hadn't really said anything, but his words were what kept Daniel there, waiting to hear Otter's response.

Daniel almost said something at Aiden. He was so close. It was right there yet he refrained. He could have said so many things. He had so many options to quip back at Aiden. Daniel wondered if Aiden thought Daniel was that bad of a dude. It wasn't like he had done anything previously to ever hurt Otter. Only Aiden.

"Thanks Ai-den. Will you be there tonight at the party?" Dan asked. He knew it was low, but it was the only thing he could do to make sure it wasn't obvious that he was making a quip. He knew Aiden was rarely invited to such events. He had on an innocent face, one that he knew passed for everyone, especially the teachers. It was always a prize winner in contests at parties like tonight.

He then turned to Otter. "And Pukka girl, you doing okay? Can I do anything to help you out? Or is there something I shouldn't do?" Daniel asked, honestly, being genuine. He hated to see Otter hurt. He didn't care that people would talk about the scene that they made, but he did care what Otter thought of him.

Tessa hadn't checked her phone as she fiddled with the device in her hands. Sighing as she broke the third finger yet again. She groaned and felt like tearing up just because of everything that was happening. First she embarrassed herself in front of Hugo, then she felt bad for abandoning Marilyn, then she stopped working to keep her mind of things, then she couldn't get the thing to work.

Tessa wanted to throw the project in her hands. She would have if she hadn't been in the cafeteria. Instead, she let her head fall into her hands, massaging her temples. Why couldn't she do anything?

She looked up when she heard someone sit down in front of her, giving Marilyn a weak smile. "Hey," She said softly, as if she wasn't into saying anything. She wasn't. She really only wanted to talk to one person and she was not going to confront him or talk to him. At least, not without Lucca beside her. She didn't know what she would do if he came up to her.

She sighed again before taking out her phone. She ignored the text she had received once she saw it was from Marilyn, then passed it to her friend upon opening up the conversation she had had between Hugo where she had invited him to breakfast then he asked who it was.

"Lucca gave me his number but didn't give him mine so he didn't know who it was or he did know and he just didn't care or didn't want to talk to me. Then I didn't want to leave you but I didn't want to come here because I knew he'd still be here and he's right over there but it hurts to look over there so I sat here by myself to try to work on a project and I can't do it because I freaking can't make things like it work and I suck and everything is just going bad," Tess ranted before finishing by just letting her head rest on the table, face down.

She sighed, glancing up at Marilyn slightly. "Am I overreacting?" She asked softly, pushing her project further away from her so she wouldn't have the disappointment in her face.

"Besides, it was stupid to think he would even look over here. He has so many other friends... Why bother with a stupid mechanic who can't make an automaton hand?" Tessa muttered softly, letting her finger push at one of the mechanical fingers in her sorrow.

She knew she was overreacting, and she knew she was being obnoxious, but it was good to let out what was going on. Her mother tried to listen but was often too busy or didn't have time to have a real conversation and there were few people who Tessa felt comfortable enough talking to.

She looked up at Marilyn, asking, "Why are the cute ones never interested?" Tessa asked glumly, in a voice that would cause a lot of people to elicit a little laugh which she didn't think she'd mind. It would make her think it wasn't the end of the world. A little laugh, or advise on how to get a boy to either notice or not be stupid...

Mark walked along the halls wearing a jumper he had just thrown over his plain white T-shirt, it was a simple grey jumper, loose fitted and what most would call unflattering but what he would call comfortable, his jeans were skinny and hung low on his waist, revealing the top of his underwear, something he often corrected out of his self concious nature, he didn't need anyone to see his vibrant pink boxers, well except for one person but he'd see them eventually. On his feet he wore what were once black converse, they weren't worn out, the black had just faded from being in the wash one too many times.

As he made it to the doors of the cafeteria, his phone vibrated and not just once, he sighed as he took his phone out to respond to his ever increasing popularity, he leaned against the wall next to the doors so as to respond to the messages before entering into the cafeteria and being in people's presence, he hated using his phone when he was sitting with people, it didn't stop him from doing it but he felt rude as hell.

[A* on that use of slang there! It actually formed a somewhat applicable response xD I shall sit with you in a bit :P Imma collect me some food]

[Not much, my Puta! You're going to have to make do with the other pitiful breads. Shame :( ]

[To: Hugo Rojas]
[Damn, here I was hoping you'd have forgotten what those things were :O I'll have to plan better next time xD White bread it is pour moi :P You had breakfast yet?]

[From: Isabel Nolan}
I think I'm in love. Marry me? That video is happening, tonight.
I'm in the cafeteria if you want to join, leave your shirt off.
xx Iz]

[To: Isabel Nolan]
[You only think! :O How can we marry if at the alter you turn round and say 'I think I do', how ever will I explain that to mama and papa? xD I already told Marilyn I'd sit with her, I'll meet up with you after the orientation day and we can get to preparing the necessities. I'll be the one person in the school who you haven't talked out of their shirt :P]

He spotted Marilyn from the doors, sitting with Tessa, instead of heading straight for the pair, he made a beeline through the food, collecting 2 slices of toast, and two eggs, a strawberry greek yoghurt and a small bowl of fruit, he carried the tray over to the two girls, as he passed Isabel's table he gave a curt nod with a smile, as he passed the table, a thought crossed his mind, maybe Isabel hadn't seen his message and he was just completely rude and ignored her offer, by the time he'd finished his thought he was beside Marilyn. He set his tray in the empty seat next to Marilyn, quickly turned to Isabel with his phone out and montioned for her to check her messages.
"Hey," He announced himself with a smile, turning to look at the pair he decided to sit with, but when he noticed Tessa's expression, it faltered. "Did I interrupt something? Are you okay, Tessa?" Genuine care laced his voice, even if he and Tessa weren't close, he did deeply care for everyone in the academy, they were his family afterall. "If you need any help, I give excellent advice and also have friends in high places." He said with a teasing sinsterity to it, joking at his Northern Irish roots and how nearly everyone there knew someone who was a terrorist. Unlike most, humour was his go to when people looked upset, if he can garner even the slightest smile, he's made them feel better and also opened a gateway to helping them more.

"Have I mentioned lately how adorable you are?" Amanda hadn't noticed Jensen watching her on her phone, until he said those words and she looked up at him, she felt bad for using her phone in his company, so she set it to the side again. "If not let me rectify that; you are more adorable than a basket of puppies." Amanda smiled at his words, but didn't have time to relish in them as Jensen quickly hopped out of the bed and started the hunt for his clothes, she ran her tongue along her lower teeth and pulled her lower lip in to chew it as she felt the heat in her cheeks rise. "Yeah I guess we should get breakfast. Though I could be content with a double A battery, I wouldn't want to deny you my company." Amanda let out an amused breath as Jensen teased her with a cocky attitude, she ran the shell pendant of her necklace along the chain, it was a slightly nervous fidgit she had, she also did it when she was exhasperated or annoyed at someone as well, but most people say at as anxiety thing, well the people who cared about her.

Amanda lay on her front, to give Jensen some privacy as he collected his clothes and put them on, of course she'd seen it all before but she simply did it out of courtesy, sometimes people are really awkward putting their clothes on and are even more awkward when someone was watching them. Whilst fiddling with her necklace she heard him answer her question about the Orientation day. "Yeah, I don't know. Something is off. Zeusy was here. Could feel it in my bones. Don't know why, but it can't be good. Him being anywhere can't be good." Amanda turned around to look at him at this point, gathering the thin blankets to cover her body.
"Zeus was here? But why?" Amanda was afraid of some members of the Pantheon and as Jensen stated, Zeus being somewhere was never a good thing. "Do you think something's happened? What reason could he have to be here?" Before Amanda could panic, Jensen had changed the subject, she let out a deep breath escaped her lungs as he did so.

"So you got any plans after this is all over? I think I'm gonna travel. See what there is to see out there. That, and maybe go find Zeusy, and kick his ass. The Almighty's should be knocked down a few pegs."" Having been caught of by the question, Amanda shuffled uncomfortably and pulled herself tighter, as if to make herself smaller, as if it would make her invisible, even the joke didn't make her feel more comfortable, she let out a slight laugh but nothing like she usually would.
'Travel the world with you.' Her brain whispered as she avoided eye contact, 'Be anywhere you want me to be. Her heart screamed as she hugged herself. But she shook her head of those answers and finally made eye contact with him.
"I don't know, only time will tell." She shrugged, there's a genuine sadness to her eyes, but her voice was simply trying to play off a nonchalant, a 'what should be, will be' attitude.

"So you ready to get your breakfast on or what? Is there anybody we're meeting, or is it just the two of us?" Amanda felt bad for how she reacted to his question and smiled when he asked about breakfast.
"Let me just get my clothes on and we'll head? I think Mari is already down there, so we'll be sitting with her and no doubt the rest of my group. I hope you don't mind?"
"Hey, I....I uh...really missed you." Jensen admitted before leaving the room, not giving Amanda a chance to respond, her smile dropped and she closed her eyes to hold back whatever emotion may rise up to the top.
"I missed you too." She whispered. 'I love you.' She screamed internally.

After retrieve and donning her underwear, Amanda noticed the LED of her phone was slowly flashing, snatching the phone she had three messages, Aiden, Marilyn and Kyle.

[From: Aiden]
[A sacrifice for me to corrupt? How kind of you! :O btw, I heard there's a party happening this evening. Any info on that?]

[To: Aiden]
[That sounded rapey, Aiden xD This is a frog... I don't mean an ugly person because that's cruel, I mean a ribbity ribbit frog :P
Also, as for the party, I haven't actually seen anyone today, so once I see Mark, I'll ask him and inform you're gatecrashing buttocks :D]

[I know, it's just not long ennooouuuuggggghhhhhh. Oh, nothing just an awkward, but oddly cute, encounter with a major - like number 1# level - crush. But, I got her number! :D]

[To: Kylie]
[YAY! Oh Kyle you have to tell meh!!! :O You can't leave your favourite Aphrodite in the dark like this! You know better than to do that :P And don't give me that 'it's too long to text' bull poopoo! I'm heading to the cafeteria in a minute, you can meet me there! :D #ExcitedMess]

Amanda quickly typed the messages out before quickly picking her floral dres off the flower and quickly pulling it on, she placed her feet in a pair of plain black pumps and taking a deep breath, she returned to Jensen, with a fresher smile on her face.
"Ready?"

Naveen had just finished sharpening his knife when his student Daniel came over to talk to him. The son of Zeus was stressed. That much was obvious. The poor fellow had just gotten a complicated response from the girl he liked. If Naveen knew anything about love, it was seeing it in others and recognizing it. At least, when they were as obvious as Daniel Keisuke.

Naveen placed his knife in it's sheath and grabbed a cup of tea before resuming his seat. He liked the old fashioned tea, with seven sugar cubes. Naveen liked sugar. It was yummy.

As Naveen cradled his cup and Cody began playing tug of war with his boot's laces, Jack Clement appeared with his golden retriever, Skipper. Naveen loved Skipper, the dog was adorable and loved him. All animals loved him. Except for sharks... That was a story he didn't tell.

Naveen smiled at the golden retriever and gave a slight wave to his student as he hunched in his seat and took a sip of his tea. He didn't speak until Jack did, giving Jack all of Naveen's attention. He lifted his chin slightly to be sure he made proper eye contact. Naveen was confident in himself and had no problem making eye contact with anyone, escpecially his students.

Naveen considered Jack's words before nodding slightly and scratching at the slight scruff on his chin. "I'm doing well, thank you. I have not though a couple of strays picked me up while I was in Alaska," Naveen stated simply as he took another sip of his tea.

It was then Naveen realized what Jack was truly saying and smiled broadly. "Clements, you ought to know better. This is the same pup that followed me last year and the year before that. I suppose I shall introduce him to everyone this year and not just the seniors... His name is Cody, mother gave him as a graduation present. If you get a doctorate in shool, perhaps mother will give you a similar present," Naveen stated encouraginly, at first slightly confused before realization had dawned on him. .

Jack was his younger brother, and he was a good kid. He cared. He had trouble in love as all demigods did, but he tried. The more he tried, the more he would succeed in life.

Naveen, knowing it would only be rude to not do so, prepped himself to ask Jack how it was going. "How about you Jack? Nice summer? Anything exciting? Been practicing?" Naveen asked with a smile and a slight raise of his eyebrow as if chastising him but doing so lightly and jokingly.

He was an older brother and a teacher and a friend. He wasn't half related to Jack, but it was just the same to him. Naveen ran his hands through Skipper's hair, messing with the dog's ears as he sent a message of happiness and joy to the dog through their connection before giving the complaining Cody who was whimpering from not recieving the attention. The wolf pup was adorable. And so was Skipper.

Naveen wondered if Jack would want to try to show his practice, but devided he wouldn't offer. He had already spoken a lot. If Jack asked another question, so be it. He would answer, but why talk more when you can listen and watch?

Tess looked up when she heard someone sit down to see Mark Buik take a seat next to Marilyn. Tessa liked to think of him as the car. It was simple. It helped her remember his name. And she liked cars, therefore, she must have liked Mark in some way or another.

"Boys are so... infuriating. And I wish they could pick up on how girls feel but at the same time if they did then he would know how I feel and then everything would be so screwed up because he'd be like 'Oh, Tessa, how could I like a small little blonde like you who is socially awkward for the most part and always has grease on your face?'" Tessa asked, rushing and upon talking as "him" dropping her voice an octave. It was probably comical from another person's point of view. Tessa, upon finishing her rambling, let her head drop onto the table again, sighing.

She thought about her words for a second before sitting up, her wringlets flying to land on her back as she looked between Marilyn and Mark. "Do I have any grease on my face?" She asked innocently and hopefully, not wanting to deal with it.

Tessa dropped her head down again before letting it roll so it was resting on her arms. She sighed. "Thanks Mark... Maybe how to respond when the guy you text texts this back to you when you text him the first time?" Tessa asked softly as she plucked her phone away from Marilyn and pushed it towards Mark.

"Am I being too stressed? Why am I talking so much?" Tessa groaned as she let her forehead go back to the table and sighed again, her arms hanging limply at her side. She groaned obnoxiously, wanting Aphrodite herself to show up to figure out her love life but not daring to pray to her. She was screwing things up as it was. Or maybe that was her son... Tessa wasn't even sure anymore.

For a hungry young man, the smell of bacon, fresh bread, cooked eggs and more wafting from the cafeteria is sure to lift any grumpy mood brought on by an obnoxiously flirtatious daughter of Dionysus. Cooked breakfast was a tradition in the Darrow household. Every year when he came back from school his mother would make him a spread of breakfast food that anyone would be jealous of. Perhaps it didnโ€™t have quite the variety that Aeonisโ€™ cafeteria did, but his mother made it for him with love and that was a definite advantage.

As his feet carried him towards the ever so tempting smells, a buzzing in his pocket make his steps falter. His cellphone is pulled from his pocket and swiped open, revealing a message from Marilyn. He stops walking to reply, quickly typing out a message before hitting send,

    To Marzipan
After school works well for me. I will see you then. Enjoy orientation day.

With the message sent, Scott continues towards the cafeteria, yet it was only a few steps later that he heard a voice hailing him. Turning, Scott finds a son of Khione greeting him, his smile decidedly warmer than the ice his mother holds reign over. Scott returns Ishardโ€™s smile nodding as he answers,

โ€œIโ€™ve been well, thanks. Yourself, Ishard?โ€ Scott replies, as always his words are short and to the point. Scott has never been one to use excessive words where few will make do instead. Really, anyone who expected Scott to launch into a rant about his holiday or some other topic obviously had no idea of the boyโ€™s reticence. Heโ€™d much rather listen or offer small tidbits here and there rather than control the whole conversation. Thankfully, he was slightly more talkative with his friends, and Ishard happened to be an individual that Scott was fond of.

โ€œYour break was good?โ€ Scott asks as he enters the cafeteria through the open door, nodding his thanks at Ishard. Inside, Scott takes a moment to scan the hall, his eyes spotting Marilyn sitting across the cafeteria, before landing on Izzy loudly chatting with a group of friends including Scottโ€™s own half-brother Aurel. Scott turns his gaze away from Isabel Nolan, giving Ishard his full attention as he walks towards the spread of delicious food on display, โ€œYour sister is well too?โ€ Scott asks politely.

It was all Priya could do to keep her smile from growing too big to contain on her face. Sheโ€™s practical in that she knows her inventions are far from the average knick knacks one can find at the local market, but sheโ€™s modest enough to still blush slightly at Nessaโ€™s compliments and brush them away. Yet, sheโ€™s always overjoyed when her projects entertain her friends, and if this is how Nessa reacts to Hugoโ€™s gift, Priya canโ€™t wait to see how Nessa acts when sheโ€™s given her previous butterfly.

Of course, the momentary dip in Nessaโ€™s emotions does not go unnoticed by Priya and she hopes that between herself and Hugo they can help figure out a way around Nessaโ€™s home like. Of anyone, Priya believes that Nessa should be able to enjoy a holiday away guilt free and Priya would do anything to have that holiday be with her own family or with Hugoโ€™s mother. Mother Rojas was a favourite of Priyaโ€™s, who loved nothing more than to visit Hugoโ€™s home and breath in the comforting smell of her home cooking. Priya was also favourable to admiring all of Hugoโ€™s baby and childhood photos, particularly the embarrassing ones that his mother always insisted on bringing out, much to Priyaโ€™s delight. Yet, before Priya can reply, sheโ€™s being caught out for staring after Cory. Priya is quick to move on in order to defend herself and the object of her affection as both Nessa and Hugo turn their attention to teasing her. Priya is well aware of their distaste for the young man, but as sheโ€™s stated to the both of them many times before and will continue to remind them, to her, heโ€™s perfect.

โ€œGuys, please.โ€ Priya started, sighing and shaking her head as her best friends planned a devious prank for the guy she was crazy about. Knowing what Hugo and Nessa could come up with alone was scary enough, but put those two ingenious minds together and youโ€™re in trouble. Priya can only hope that whatever they decide to do wonโ€™t maim is beautiful face. โ€œHeโ€™s not that badโ€ฆโ€ Priyaโ€™s sentence trailed off, knowing that whatever she said would fall on deaf ears. Instead she made a silent promise to herself to check up on Cory later in the day, possibly warn him to watch his step and double check whatever he was about to eatโ€ฆ just to be safe. Priya wouldnโ€™t have dreamed of attempting to stop the prank, she may be crazy for Cory but she also knows her best friends well enough to know that when theyโ€™re determined to pull a prank, they will.

It was pushing twenty minutes before August realised that Shyroe wasn't going to turn up. With a small sigh, he assumed that his sister had stumbled into Kiren or one of her other friends and had forgotten all about meeting him; August didn't mind but now he was a little lost on where to go.

Reaching for his phone, August fishes it out of his jeans pocket and checks for any messages, before sending some out himself,

[ to : shy ]
forget something little sis? It's fine, I'll see you later.

[ to : mandy ]
my little sister just ditched me, is that sad? Please say I'm not a total loser :-(

After hitting send on those two messages, a faint rumbling noise emits from August's stomach. Despite having just had a bagel, he was still hungry. And so August's decision was made for him - He was off to the cafeteria for a second breakfast. Something that wasn't often uncommon for August. He'd usually have a small meal as soon as he woke, and another in the school cafeteria, not just for the food but also so that he might have the chance of seeing some friends before the start of the first school day back.

The cafeteria was only a brief walk away from where August had been stood by the school gate, so he arrived at the building shortly and was met with the most divine smell. People were clustered around the dining hall, plates full with all manner of delicious breakfast foods. August had found himself in the cafeteria right when breakfast was in full swing and it was packed. Grabbing a bowl and filling it up with a load of fresh fruit, August peers around the room for somewhere to sit.

Noticing a few empty seats on a table where Marilyn, Tessa and Mark sat, August makes a beeline for the trio. Despite only being casual friends with Tessa, August knew Marilyn and Mark well so assumed they wouldn't mind him butting in on their conversation. It wasn't until after he had greeted everyone with a cheery "Hello," and sat down that August noticed Tessa's slightly forlorn expression. "Sorry, am I interrupting something?" He asks them as a group before turning to Mark and frowning ever so slightly in a 'what happened' kind of way.

Shyroe was walking around in the hallways trying to remember where the cafeteria is, when she got a text.

[From Kiren:]
I'll meet up with you in orientation, we can do something after! Hang out? Have some fun maybe with friends? See you later my lovely love! :)

[To Kiren:]
Okie doke! I'll see you there! I'm currently heading to the Cafeteria.

As Shyroe sent the message she noticed a map of the school and stumbled over to it and looked over it sleepily. She soon found where the Cafeteria was, and headed that way, deciding to get a muffin, or something like a baked good that might cheer her up. But she was still really happy with her meet up with Kyle, she almost got out of her shell to talk to him normally. Soon her phone buzzed again and she checked and saw a text from August.

[From Auggie:]
forget something little sis? It's fine, I'll see you later.

Once Shyroe read the text she realized that she had promised to meet him at the gate, but she was to hyped up with Kyle talking to her that she stumbled into the school.

[To Auggie:]
:O I'm so sorry! I had a run in with Kyle and I freaked out, and, and! I'm soo SORRY!

Shyroe typed frantically as she finally made it to the Cafeteria. It was humongous, and in all honesty scared the living day lights out of Shyroe. She got in the lineup to gets some muffins- Looking around for August. The line moved quickly and soon Shyroe had to order with out messing up her words. "H-Hello! I'd l-like a.. Muffin! Please.. Could I have the blueberry one?" She asked awkwardly as the person nodded, but stared at her in a way she didn't like. The person gave her a muffin and she walked around looking for August.

Soon she spotted him and rushed over to greet him, when she realized there was other people there with him. She sat down beside August quietly and poked him. "H-Hi.." She stuttered quietly, giving a small wave to be polite. Shyroe only recognized Tessa from a class she was once in with her, but she still couldn't have a normal chat like she can with Kiren. The rest of them she didn't recognize, so she hid her face while eating her muffin.

Naveen looked to his younger brother, waiting and wondering if he would see a reaction. He watched as Jack seemed to lose the pep in his step. Naveen nodded, and looked down to Cody. Few people had a good relationship with their godly parent. Naveen had a semi okay one. She woud make appeareances when Naveen was entirely alone on camping trips that his father abandons him on. That happened more often than Naveen would have liked.

Naveen looked back up to Jack and might have winced at Jack's laugh if Naveen was different. The way he was, he held sympathy, but not the kind someone would have when they think someone else is pathetic. Naveen has sympathy for Jack because he remembered how he used to feel about their mother. He still tolerated her and was glad when she said hi, but she was not their mother.

As Jack spoke, Naveen observed and listened. He didn't dare speak until Jack was done. Naveen rarely spoke without being directly spoken to, but he felt certain circumstances were exceptions.

When Jack was done, Naveen spoke to him softly. "Jack, you done with the language?" Naveen asked like the older brother he was. He hated inappropriate language and few students actually cursed in his class as they knew he called them out on it in front of everyone.

He then looked down at his dirty dishes before looking back up at Jack and speaking softly. "Jackie, I say she gave it to me because I studied and graduated early. Perhaps if you ask me in a less public place I'll tell you what was going on around the time I got my doctorate. And I got my doctorate because I wanted to help people, not because I wanted to have Artemis notice me. Besides, bitterness does not suit you Jack, we all have plenty to be bitter about," Naveen stated simply, giving a hint of bitterness in his tone towards the end but leaving it at that. Immediately the bitterness was gone and his face was more like a big brother talking to a little brother.

"Really, we are more similar than just being the children of the gods Jack. If you ever want or need help or begin to lose faith, come find me," Naveen stated simply before standing. He gave a wink before leaving Jack at the picnic table, making a clicking noise so Cody would know he was leaving. The young pup jumped after Naveen as Naveen walked towards the faculty building.

He had spoken so much! But he was there for his students, and other demigods. His younger half siblings especially.

Naveen walked into the faculty building and wrinkled his nose slightly. He couldn't stand being official. He was wearing sweatpants for crying out loud. He walked into his office, one on the first floor that had a sliding door Naveen had installed. He liked that he could open it and sit on a chair he hat outside. Cody had a little doggie bed in Naveen's office and immediately went there.

Naveen spotted a little bag on his "desk" which was really just a coffee table. Desks were stupid. Instead, Naveen had a couch and a coffee table and a side table with the coffee table serving as his desk. It worked for him. He smiled at the goodies before leaving Cody to fine June.

He found her, and Terry, and Priscilla all in June's office. Naveen froze slightly at the crowd before shrugging inwardly and stepping up to the door. Thanking people was allowed in his repertoire of reasons to speak.

"Thank you June," He stated with a smile and a nod as he gave little waves to the others in the room. He gave one final smile before moving to leave, not really wanting to have to make his own conversation starter to have to stay. He wouldn't really mind them asking him to join, but that was equal with him sitting outside and practicing knife throwing.

Tess looked up as August sat down. She shrugged, her face not happy still but she sat up at least. She pulled her invention project back, working on that again to avoid feeling like there was a lot of people. She liked that everyone was near her, that she was getting attention, but she hated that it was only because they seemed to think that she was upset. Why couldn't people give her attention just because she was Tessa?

Tess again attempted to fit the fingers into the mechanical hand but failed. Then another person sat down. She felt her shoulders hunch as she wasn't sure what to do. She found that the piece finally fit but that she wasn't sure what to do with so many people.

She wanted to escape and looked to Marilyn to see if she would mind. If it had been people she was close to, like Otter and Marilyn and Hugo and Priya, that would have been different, minus Hugo since he made her nervous no matter where he was.

"Boys are so... infuriating. And I wish they could pick up on how girls feel but at the same time if they did then he would know how I feel and then everything would be so screwed up because he'd be like 'Oh, Tessa, how could I like a small little blonde like you who is socially awkward for the most part and always has grease on your face?'" Mark shrugged his shoulders before giving her forearm a light punch, teasingly.
"That's why I only date men." He took a bite of his egg and toast, and then thought about what she said. "Wait what guy is this?" He looked at both Marilyn and Tessa, his mouth was only semi full so he let the food fall to the front of his mouth so as the muffling of his voice wasn't so bad. "I'm pretty sure I've heard a few... complimentary whispers about you, here and there." He gave her a wink as he chewed his food. "Also... You're in a school with some of the most talented alchemists and love witches around, I'm sure one of the Hecate or Aphrodite kids can help you out if you wanna cheat." He then pursed his lips and looked off to the side. "Okay, maybe I not as good with the advice thing as I thought."

"Do I have any grease on my face?" Mark made a face which implied he thought she was being ridiculous, but not in a serious way and shook his head, this time his mouth was full and to speak would not being a pretty sight and wouldn't be coherent. Tessa then pluck the phone from Marilyn's hands and slide it across the table to Mark, who swallowed his food and whipped his hands on his jeans, before picking it up and reading the message.

Mark looked at Tessa with a slight smile, "Tessa you've nothing to worry about," He looked at the contact name along the top of the message. "Just tell him it's you and how you got the number..." He then paused for a moment and then looked at her. "If it's like a way you're ashamed of, just say I gave it to you and if he asks why just say something like 'Oh you know Mark and his phone, if you can't reach him you better try reaching one of his friends'." He gave a playful shrug and flashed her smile before taking another bite of his egg sandwich.
"Am I being too stressed? Why am I talking so much?" Mark's smile faultered as her head met the table again.
"Hey, we all get like this when we text people we like, right Mari?" He gave her a nudge with his foot and then a quick glance, indicating he wanted her to agree with him, he knew not everyone did it but he definitely did and knew Tessa would feel better if she wasn't being like a one in a thousand who stress over people not texting them back.

Mark didn't even notice August sit down, he was rather caught up in the discussion at hand, and when he spoke up Mark turned to look at him with a look of surprise. "Hello, Sorry, am I interrupting something?" Mark shook his head with a smile.
"Awk no, you're grand." Mark blushed as he heard his own extremely belfast accent, his eyes widen in disbelief at how his accent broke into the most horrible accent ever. "Sorry." He apologised for his accent as he regained some control over his accent and made it a more refined and understandable, or as people called it back home, posh, accent. Mark caught August's expression and mouthed 'later' to him, before noticing Shyroe sit next to him, Mark had never really engaged with the girl but he was plenty friendly with everyone so he waved at her.
"Hey." His voice was soft and his smile welcoming, he'd heard she could be pretty shy so didn't want to be intimidating, not that he was, no one was ever scared of him, he lightly chuckled to himself at the thought of someone finding him intimidating, but when he realised he was in coming he blushed and tried to recompose himself.
