Wrax awoke and immediately searched for his twin in the darkness. He didn't know where he was, but he would feel better once he knew the location of his twin. His hand touched something soft in the darkness and he knew it was Zack's hair. He could hear some people talking in the darkness out of sight. He couldn't see very much. "Zach," he pleaded, "please wake up." Zack mumbled and groaned, but then turned over and sat up.

"Wrax?" Wrax nodded, but then realized that Zach probably couldn't see him in the darkness. "Yes," he replied. He snuggled up closer to Zach.

The girl said after untying the other tow boys, who actually looked kind of young. "Fire. That's an interesting affinity." He said, still with his faint smile, ignoring the question she had just asked him. He looked over at the other girl who had just spoken. "A coward hm?" he said. "Or perhaps I just have more common sense?" He raised he bound hands up to the girl who had tripped on him. "I know I said it doesn't matter whether you are bound or not, but I do find that they tied it a little to tight for my taste. Would you mind?" He said with a friendly tone of voice.

Wrax spoke up again. "I want to get out too." All the others around him looked so much older than he did. They were bigger kids. He didn't want to be a burden, but he couldn't help it. Anxiety was beginning to well up inside his chest and he couldn't handle it. Zach continued to stay silent.

Wrax was moving before he even really registered what had happened, following the rest of the group hand holding Zack's hand so hard he thought his brother was going to lose circulation in his fingers. Kaiden faintly smiled at Ty's comment. "Well, if you want to call it that, fine by be." he said, glancing at the two twin boys. He felt a little guilty killing someone in front of them. They were still young and shouldn't have to see things like this. But if they were all planning to escape, they would have to get used to it sooner or later. He looked over at the girl with the white hair. "Impressive affinity you've got there." Then he looked up at the blue-haired girl who had electrocuted him earlier. "Well sparky? You got what you wanted so how about you just run off so we don't have to worry about you putting us in danger anymore." He let out a sigh to calm himself and took a few steps forward, holding his hand out to help her get down from the truck. "If you jump out and hurt your ankle or something ridiculous like that, you're not going to be able to run." He said, his tone of voice showing that he was clearly irritated.

Now that he was out in the open air, Wrax felt like he could breath again. The anxiety lifted off of his chest and he felt more secure, more sure. He was used to being the more extroverted and rambunctious of the two twins, but the new, strange situation was throwing him off. He felt like he couldn't speak, couldn't do anything. He just felt so useless.

Zack squeezed his hand. He could tell what Wrax was feeling and offered some reassurance. Things would get better. It was only the beginning after all.

Kaiden looks up in surprise to see another person jumps down from the back of the van and the hand that he held out for the blue-haired girl dropped as he turned to face him. "Well, here I was thinking I was the only guy here, well apart from the kids." He said to the man who had gotten out of the truck. "I'm Kaiden and.." He stopped for a moment then looked around at the others. "Hey you know what, that reminds me, I think I'm the only one here who's introduced himself." He said with a faint smile. "So what are all of you names?" He was mostly directing it to the newcomer who had just woken up, but he was also curious what the others names were too. If he remembered correctly the girl with the red hair was named 'Ty', but he wasn't excactly positive and didn't want to end up calling her the wrong name.

((Ahh!! So many posts XD))

After Sky announced that more soldiers were coming, he began to follow the others, racing his way to a nearby hill when Sky stopped and turned back. Kaiden, seeing this, stopped and turned, watching the scene unfold as Ty formed a shield of fire to protect the two twin boys. And for a moment I thought things were going good, he thought to himself as he watched as the number of guards began to lessen from the attacks of Ty and Sky, then become greater as more swept in.

"Run I'll hold them off."

He hears Ty say and he takes a couple steps backward. I could just go.., he thought to himself. The guards are too busy taking care of Windy down there. I could easily get away without being noticed.. He quickly banished the thought. "Shut up Ty, this is everyone's fight." he said firmly, kneeling down and placing his hands on the grass. The ground began to freeze over, spreading its way over the grass and then the sidewalk and pavement. The ice wrapped itself around the metallic vehicles the guards had been driving, freezing the wheels to the cement as well as the legs of all of the guards who had been unlucky enough to be standing on the ground, their legs frozen solid to the knee. The only area that hadn't been frozen was the ground around Ty's fire.

Kaiden nodded at Sky's answer and then looked over at Fey. "If the feds know about it, then yea it's probably being targeted. But then again they might not so it could be a safe place. We should at least leave the kids there. It's too dangerous for them out here. I don't even think they know what there affinities are anyway and-" he cut off as he swore he saw something move in the distance. Stopping abruptly he squinted his eyes to get a better look. It was hard to see through the trees and brush, not to mention it was getting dark out and the sun was setting fast, but he could see the slight outline of a person laying on the ground. What the hell is that? he thinks to himself as he picks up a jog to see what it was. He stopped and looked down at a girl lying on the mossy forest ground next to one of the trees. The first thing he noticed was the bloody left shoulder the girl had up in a sling made of cloth. "Crap..She wasn't in the van with us. where the hell did she come from?" Kaiden knelt onto the ground beside the girl and turned his head back to the others. "Hey! there's someone over here! Hurry up!" he yells, but not too loudly just in case some of the soldiers managed to follow them into the forest.

"I want to fight too!" Wrax protested when he heard the others talking about dropping him and his brother off at the resistance. The others hadn't even seen his affinity yet. They didn't know how powerful he could be. "I have an affinity, a real one! I can help!" In order to show them, he picked up one of the bolts from the truck with his power. "It only works on metal though." He said.
The others didn't have time to comment on it as a commotion started when a new blood stained girl was spotted.

Wrax felt so useless. The others were all using their skills to help the girl they had found, Yumi, but there was not really much that he could do. His power was useless for any of that, and looking over at Zack, he knew that his twin was thinking the same thing. He tried to think of something to do, but couldn't. He didn't want the others to see him as just some dumb kid. He could take care of himself. He wanted to prove himself.

The whole thing had been a bit of a blur to Zack. He hadn't been paying very much attention. He was scared and shocked and confused. And then, suddenly, the world opened up to him and it was like he could breathe again. He found it wondrous.

"I wish I had something that I can use for stitches" the one with the wind powers was saying. What was his name again? Gust? Cyclone?... No, Sky, that was it.
Zack suddenly remembered something about his life at home, which seemed so far away now. His mother would sometimes leave needles in their clothes. She was very forgetful and stretched quite thin with six children. He searched his clothes, but found nothing.

He grabbed Wrax, rather roughly and without warning, but his brother only let out a small yelp in protest. He searched him over and found a needle at the hem of his shirt. He took it out and presented it to Sky. "Here," he said, "although I have no thread and we have no time for stitching just now."

((Ohhhh that makes sense, if you put that in a post I probably didn't read all of it XD))

"Hmm, I guess that means we weren't too far off from being dropped off at the felicity then." He said with a bit of a dim voice, then smiled up at Amber from where he was sitting. "Nice going Sparky. You may have gotten us all killed but you had perfect timing!" He said then glanced over at the twins. The one kid, Wrax was it?, looked like he was a little disappointed in being unable to help Yumi. Of course, Fey probably wouldn't be able to do very much either. The other twin hadn't said much the entire time but then he noticed him fumbling with his clothes as if he was looking for something. When he turned to his brother and checked him, he pulled out a needle and handed it to Sky. Oh, smart kid, he thought to himself as he watched them and then turned his head back to Yumi. "You could find all that out while your body was just lying here? That's pretty cool I'd say. A cave would definitely help out and keep us hidden. You can also wash out your shoulder with the river. Cold water will probably help it feel better." He stands up and let out a yawn, then looks at Sky. "You can find out what to do with that needle after we all get settled down." He said, then looked at Ty. "It might be healthier to stitch it, and probably less painful that way too."

Yumi saw the needle and sweat started to roll down her brow, " I was...uh...only out here for about an hour or so...I climbed the tree...to see where I was and...thats when I saw the cave...and the river..." Her voice shakes and the others can tell she is nervous.
"Before you start," she says to Sky, looking over at the twin boys watching her closely, "Would you two mind...," she blushes," coming and...holding my hand?.... Im so scared of needles...but you two look like strong boys...Will you help me?... I'll be ready after that."

Zack was timid. Showing affection was one of his greatest weaknesses. He remembered once he had to comfort one of his older sisters and even then was it was awkward as he held her. It's not that he was apathetic he just wasn't completely sure how to go about befriending someone. But, reluctantly, with a nudge from Wrax he stepped forward and extended his hand to the girl.

"Thank you guys so much," she smiled at them and giving their hands a little squeeze with hers. She looks over at Sky and says, "Alright stick me!"

In an attempt to block out the soon to be needle swimming in and out of her arm, she looks at the two boys and begins to wonder, They're so young, I wonder what their affinities are...
Luckily the process seems to start without her even noticing, I trust the good doctor she giggles to herself as she actually looks him over for the first time. She has never seen a noy so handsome, her highschool was full of dimwits and jocks...but this boy was intrieging...

The soldiers were looking for them. Of course they were. Why wouldn't they be? A bunch of kids with killer powers were running around, escaped from whatever fate it was that was planned for them. Wrax kept a weary eye on the border of the camp. He knew that something was coming... He could just feel it in that funny way that he felt things sometimes. He wasn't clairvoyant or anything, it was just his gut his mama used to say.
Then, there it was, a small glimpse of them in the outside border. Wrax felt his stomach tense. From what little he could see, it seemed to be about three or four soldiers, probably part of a small search party that was combing the area.
"More soldiers!" Wrax whispered loudly, pointing off into the distance where he had seen them. They flickered in and out of view until finally coming into the clearing where the group had set up camp.

Wrax spoke, hoping that his voice would offer Zack some more courage. "Do it Zack!" He wasn't ashamed to admit that Zach was the stronger of the two of them. With the others tired and recuperating, it was up to them now to show what they could do. He knew that with the right amount of focus Zack could take out the soldiers alone.
He took Zack's hand in his own. "Do it." He said again, giving Zack's hand a squeeze. "Please."
