a character in “After It All [Disney]”, as played by MasterCherry

Description

Image

Name: Oliver Gashton

Age: 30

Sexuality: Heteroflexible (straight, but you never know with love)

Height: 6'2" roughly

Details: Oliver is rather tall and very handsome. He has the perfect Adonis-physique, sculpted muscles and warm tan skin. He has dark, wavy hair that makes the blue of his eyes that much more appealing. His pearly white smile can melt the coldest block of ice and make all of the ladies go weak at the knees. He has a rich baritone voice and a finely trimmed goatee.

Personality

Oliver was once a very selfish, very arrogant, very obnoxious person. He was handsome, and he knew it. He was raised in very wealthy family who encouraged his vanity and helped him become a man in love with himself. After a bad heartbreak, he changed, becoming a polite, kind, warm man who tries to put himself last. It's not always easy to ignore himself and focus on others, but he enjoys it.

He likes to think of his reformed self as a "people-person"... Although he does make the occasional enemy, mostly of the male gender. His fellow men don't really appreciate his kindness to women, any woman.

Equipment

Renee Sinclaire- He doesn't reall know her but she's pretty...

Titaniah Flair- She's cute...

Bastien Callent- Seems quiet....

Daemon Davis- Seems okay...

Angel Otero- Nice guy...

Percy Lefèvre- Reminds him of himself... Not a fan...

History

Oliver currently lives in the middle of the city, not a terrible distance away from his favorite bar, The Black Lantern.

Before he moved into the city, he lived in the country, in a small town. His family was the richest there and very popular with the people. Practically his whole life, people liked him, wanted to be his friend, wanted him to like them, told him he was handsome. After years and years of being told how amazing he was he let it all go to his head. He was a snob who thought he was the best thing around. He actually thought that because of his looks, people should basically bow down to him. He thought he could get whatever he wanted, and he did... Until her.

Lauren Bells was the most gorgeous girl in the whole city, he would even go as far as to say she was the prettiest girl in the whole state. Her long brown hair and large brown eyes... His heart just sped up thinking about her. She was so beautiful, and he wanted her badly. He was determined to have her, even thought he loved her. However, no matter what he did she refused him. She always brushed him off with a roll of her pretty eyes. He never gave up though, not even when she started dating the nerdy guy covered in acne because that had to be a joke. It wasn't. Lauren was madly in love with Tommy Beiste, the guy that holed himself up in the library all of the time. Oliver wasn't sure how, but Beiste packed a seriously mean punch.

He lost to a guy half his size and no where near as handsome. It was almost a bigger blow to his pride than it was to his heart. But trying to woo Lauren had planted the seed of love in his heart so while he shrugged off her dismissals, on the inside he was in turmoil. When they graduated and he was no longer forced to watch their happiness he was able to let it go. He decided he needed to change if he wanted to get any lasting relationship going. He learned the hard way that women don't prefer a selfish prick.

He works as a model, often donating to charities and even doing some jobs for free. He really enjoys going to the beach, and he enjoys a nice cold beer at the bar every so often to unwind.

So begins...

Oliver Gashton

Oliver sighed in the shower as he scraped off the glitter that his stylist found it necessary to cover him with. Was glitter on men really that attractive? He certainly didn't think so, but whatever. He didn't get paid to think, something that made his life amazingly simple. All he had to do was show up, let the designers play doll with him, get his money, and go home. It was a little annoying to always have to clean himself up, what with all of the make-up and darn glitter, but it was worth it. The money was easily earned, and he could do whatever he wanted with it.

Tonight he was going to drink.

He decided, as he got out of the shower, that the last shirt they forced him in wasn't bad, just a deep blue fitted tee, and he pulled on his own pair of jeans. He ran the towel over his head to remove the excess water from his hair but left it alone besides that. It would naturally do what he wanted it to. After pulling on his shoes, he was ready to go. All he had to do was sling his bag over his shoulder and walk out the door.

Luckily, the bar wasn't too far away so it was an easy walk. If he hadn't had such a lousy glitter-covered day then he would have gone the extra mile and stopped by his place to get rid of his bag, but he wanted some alcohol ASAP. When he reached the Black Lantern, he completely bypassed the first level and went straight for the second. They knew how to make his drink down there, nice and strong.

He noticed some of the regulars already drinking, but he went right for an empty table, dropped his stuff, and waved a waitress over. She was rather nice on the eyes, especially her rather low-cut top. He couldn't help himself when he grinned at her charmingly, flashing his perfect white teeth. "I'm going to need a Shotgun please, and tell the bartender not to go easy on me." It was the best drink out there, very strong. It got it's name from the fact that if you have to many it will shoot a hole right through your stomach. After being covered in glitter all day he could use a nice gaping hole in his middle.

He pulled out some cash and handed it to her. "Keep the change." She grinned in return and stuck in the money in her shirt. He chuckled softly as she left. Hopefully she wouldn't try and give him her number or anything like that; that would be awkward. He didn't go home with wenches. He sat back in his chair as he waited for his drink.

Bastien Callent

It had been another awesome day for Bastien. It started off well with a call from his mother, nagging him to be more like his brother. Big surprise there. Then, after just barely not being late to work at the mall, his pants got ripped on the escalator, and he didn't have another pair so he had to buy a new pair. He got informed that his paycheck would be docked, and he would have to stay later for inventory. His lunch break got shortened fifteen minutes so all he managed to scarf down was a bottle of water and a dry tuna salad sandwich. To make his day even better, a little kid decided to stick gum in hair. That was fun. And instead of leaving at four he left at seven, but he was forced to clock out at four thirty so he did two and a half hours of inventory for free.

The best day ever.

The only thing he was looking forward to was going to the bar and drowning his sorrows... hopefully. He might not even have any money. But he was going to the bar regardless. Maybe he get drunk off of second-hand fumes or something. He really needed it.

After changing out of his uniform, he began the walk to the bar, enjoying the brisk feel of the weather. It was so much better than the stuffy department store. As he approached the bar he could feel his phone vibrating in his pocket. He pulled it out but hit reject as soon as he saw the word mom. He could not deal with her right now. He shoved the phone back in his pocket and walked into the Black Lantern.

He looked around the first level before deciding that the second level was the one he preferred. It was dimmer down there and he didn't feel as much as outcast down there. It had a nicer, more... more... "accepting" kind of feel to it... Like no one judged him down there.

He noticed that he wasn't the only one who preferred the second level; he noticed some regulars. He wasn't really part of their crowd so he chose to snag a table against the wall, in the corner. No one noticed him at first, but a waitress finally saw him after dropping off a drink to table with a handsome guy that wasn't too far from his own table. Figures, he thought to himself. It makes sense that she didn't even see me. That man is definitely eye-catching. He sighed. Would he ever demand anyone's attention like that?

He ordered the cheapest thing he could think of, beer. He wasn't really a fan of it, but his wallet certainly was at the moment.

Angel could hear increasingly demanding voices of those at the bar as patrons began to shuffle in. Although he could not make out the distinct words, some sounded familiar. The usual crowd, drawn by the promise of cheap drinks, good food, and something more. He'd be working later tonight to account for the happy hour, and held a secret hope that he would at least see the most interesting patron of all - the one with wild hair, a good word, and command of the dance floor when the mood took her. Hope was always something his heart carried in this regard, but never more than on nights like this. That was when Angel was aware of it.

At the moment, however, there was meat to prepare, and the line of orders grew longer by the minute.

Whoof! Bang!

There goes the meat. Angel froze for a moment, pushing back the urge to cover his face and massage his temples in exasperated frustration. The new kitchen assistant was entirely inept. And it was up to him to oversee the college kid's successful orientation.

With a near inaudible release of breath and possibly disappointed drop of the shoulders, Angel set aside the knife he was working with and turned to face a healthy flame sprouting from the industrial stovetop. He had always been patient, but now the boy he considered his student was fruitlessly attempting to control the flame with a pan. Hopeless.

Zero time to think. In a single swift motion, Angel took the fire extinguisher near his feet with one hand, crossed the distance to the flame in three strides, and pulled the alarmed cook aside with the other. Within seconds, a thick white substance covered the entire stove and all its once edible contents. A little bit of it escaped onto the stainless steel shelves upon which completed orders were placed before they were taken to the customers.

Someone was going to get the short end of the owner's temper.

Percy chuckled at Renee's asylum comment, shrugging his shoulders and making a face as if to say 'you caught me.' He shrugged again at her next question, though it was less flippant, slightly more serious than his first.

"I need a drink." Percy's eyes crinkled up at the edges, and he patted the table next to his beer. He glanced to the waitress as she delivered his companion's drink, smiling at her but barely catching her attention. Slightly dampened, he tilted the chair back onto one leg and twirled it around to face the room, then sat, leaning back against the table.

His hands smoothed down his almost-too-tight black pants before he reached back for his beer and sipped delicately at the neck. Glancing back at Renee, he raised his eyebrows.

"So what's up with you? You have a good day? Any new shenanigans to report?" He hardly stopped for breath between questions, then suddenly tilted his head back again and winked. Oh- hey." He nodded toward the staircase to where Oliver was descending. "Look, some Eye Candy's here."

Then, a clatter from the kitchen, and the Frenchman automatically winced, his lips tugging down into a brief frown against the glass mouth of his beer. He'd spend far too much time in kitchens, and he knew the sound of catastrophe. But it only took a second, and his smile curled back up. He surveyed the room, noting each of the newcomers and merely enjoying the view for the moment.

Renee grinned back to her companion, Percy, when he made his reaction - although it would appear that her question would take another turn. It made her wonder his intentions today for a brief moment. That was until she watched him eye the waitress. When the woman left, the scientist would smile and mutter under her breath, "Oh Percy." She loved his lusty ways. Yet, after little time, their conversation would begin once more.

"Me, shenanigans? Don't be silly. I-" She was cut-off as Percy would thrust her attention to a more interesting subject. It was Oliver. The dirtiest thoughts imaginable would fall upon Renee's mind as her blue eyes studied his body that had mostly ignored her and headed for an empty table. As she casually watched him speak to the whorish waitress, the woman would feel a pang of jealouy rise up. How she wanetd to rip that woman out of the scene by her prisy hair. Oh how it annoyed her. As she began to bite at her bottom lip in mild discontent, her mind was pulled out of her vile imagination by a loud crash. It caused her to perk up her shoulders and move her eyes onto the direction of the kitchen. She would have loved to make a snarky comment about the condition of this place today; however, another crash was rang and she watched as Rick, the owner, storm into the kitchen and scream around.

"He's almost as loud as you are in bed." Renee jokes, smirking to Percy. But then the joke fell as a firey term echoed. It had even put Renee in surprise. Angel had worked at the Black Lantern for as long as the woman could recall - even though she only received regular status three months ago. It was long enough for her anyways. Her blue eyes would watch as the man tried to quickly leave the kitchen as her voice rose up on an unrelated topic, "But I assume I should ask you the same: how has your day been? You seem...in well enough spirits." She would have kept her attention on the lovely blonde had the other female customer not decided to add to the fight.

Renee watched for a brief moment before she lost interest. Free drinks from Rick? Jokes. The woman doubted such a thing. He was a cheap man but liked to avoid conflict with his customers, considering some of the customers he would get. So while the other woman was on her power trip, the scientist decided to turn back to Percy. "It seems that we keep getting interrupted tonight." Renee quietly cooed with a smile.

Bastien Callent

Bastien sighed in contentment as he took a swig of his beer. Not his favorite drink, but very good after a terrible day. It was cool and refreshing.

There was some sort of commotion, but didn't want to be part of it so he kept his eyes down and on his drink.

Oliver Gashton

Oliver took a grateful sip of his beverage, enjoying the burn. He smiled across the way at a table with a lovely blonde and some guy he vaguely recognized. Then there was a problem or something in the kitchen. He felt for the guy.

He knew what it was like to be embarrassed in front of a group. His heart had been ripped out in front of a bunch of people, and then he'd been punched in the face by someone acne-faced and scrawny. That was embarrassment right there.

He took another drink and looked around. He needed to do something, but what?

Bastien Callent

Bastien felt a bit relieved that there was no problem. In fact, he found himself smiling. "I actually don't get too many stares," he replied. "I um... I guess I just always tend to stay in the shadows." He tried to laugh it off, chuckling slightly even though it was sadly true. But he was hoping to change that...

One day...

Oliver Gashton

After a few more sips of his drink he decided to mingle. He didn't exactly know a lot of people, only vaguely recognized the regulars, so he planned to just choose a table that didn't seem to busy with their own conversations. He noticed a table in the back with a redhead and a very attractive woman; he decided that he would give them a try.

He stood and walked to the table. "Do you guys mind if I joined you?" he questioned. The red-headed male nodded slightly so he took a seat at his table. "I'm Oliver," he said.

Huh, a loner is he? , she thought to herself. "Staying in the shadows, hmm? Walking around with hair like that makes you stand out more than blend in." She said a little sarcastically. Still sipping away at her whiskey, she realized she was finished and sighed. Today wasn't a day where she wanted to get drunk, so perhaps she would only order one more drink. No waitress was in sight so she grumbled and swirled the glass in her hand, making the leftover melted ice cubes spin around the walls of the glass.

Hearing a voice requesting to sit with the two, she almost growled. It was just one of those days she didn't like. First a man had stolen her little corner, now another one had come to bother her. The reason she came to the Black Lantern was some peace and quiet, and maybe if she was up for it, some socializing, but that wasn't a usual. There were more men like the red-head than the ones she preferred. Her eyes darted up to the owner of the voice, but before she snapped at him her expression immediately softened. He was handsome, and not what she had expected. Sheryl recognized him as one of the regulars she saw around, but she never realized how devilishly good looking he was. Perhaps the dim lighting was to blame.

"Not at all," she said with a soft chuckle. "The name's Sheryl."

There was a blonde regular that seemed to be infatuated with Oliver, but she never understood the reason for it. Now, she could sympathize. Realizing that she was leaving the poor man out, she turned her head slightly and asked with a friendly tone, "Oh, and you?"

Oliver Gashton

Oliver smiled and took a seat. "It's nice to meet you. I've seen you both around before. Are you guys friends?" he finished curiously, sipping his drink.

Bastien Callent

Bastien was a little intimidated by the handsome newcomer, how could he not be? The man was muscled, attractive, and seemed very confident. He reminded him a lot of his brother, but Oliver seemed like a nice guy. "I'm Bastien," he said. "And we've never officially met," he added, answering the man's question. He offered the woman a smile.

Before she could explain the relationship between her and the red head, he had thankfully already beat her to it. "I've seen you around as well. I didn't think you were this cute or I would have definitely chatted you up sooner." She laughed.

Turning to Bastien she returned a smile before looking at Oliver again. "Well, thanks to you Oliver we've now officially met." She said with a chuckle. "The three of us are strangers that have learned each other's names, so I guess that makes us acquaintances?"

She had come to the Black Lantern in a bad mood, but the two men seemed to have improved it just a bit. Although Bastien's hair still annoyed her every time her eye caught a flash of his red hair, he seemed like an okay guy. Depressing, and lonely, but not causing any harm right? Oliver was dashing, and supposedly friendly, but she would rather trust the loner than the handsome one. That was just how the world seemed to work.

Suddenly she remembered something that made her smile. Oh, she must have looked like a fool all of a sudden smiling to herself. Trying to cover her strange smile with her hand she laughed and explained, "Today is Two Dollar Drinks right? I had completely forgotten. I was planning to not drink too much, but to hell with it." With a flick of her hair she called a waitress over to their table.

"Could I get a Black Velvet?" She ordered. She tapped her finger on her lip, debating if she wanted to get anything else. Then she pointed her hand at the two men. "Did you two want anything?" She asked.

Bastien offered a small smile. "I'm fine," he said. "Thank you though."

Oliver replied in kind. "I'm fine as well." He held up his glass which was still about half full. "I'll get another as soon as this one is gone."

She waited, her company seemingly dull for the moment. It appeared that they had lost their interest in her, and hers had been to her drink. It was getting low and that was always a disappointment. With some time, Renee called for another. Her attitude wading between self pity and boredom. How could she have been in such a slum? Her work had slowed due to a catch in her chemicals and her life had become a shadow of anything it once was. It annoyed her. Rising the hard drink to her lips, the girl's blue eyes took to a man she longed for: Oliver. Her eyes flickered quickly to the man at her table before assuming it was her turn to make a move. Taking to her feet and throwing the rest of her drink down her throat, Renee gave a quick wave to her friend and headed off.

Her feet took her to the table with Oliver. His manly features the center of desire for the woman. With her courage strengthened by liquor and a twisted grin on her little pink lips, Renee appeared before the man and tapped on his shoulder. First she made a comment towards all of the inhabitants of the table, "I would hate to distrub this thrilling conversation. I just have some business I need Oli for. Promise I'll make it quick." Renee winked. She bent forward so that her lips were close to his ear, "I have a proposition for you. My place. Right now. Me and you. Whatcha say, big boy?" The woman pulled her head away slightly to reveal a devious grin as she kept her attention on him only.
