Description

Image
Name: Sheryl Maline

Age: “You really shouldn’t ask a lady that.” 25

Sexuality: “Well now, I don’t discriminate sweetie.” Bisexual

Height: “Five feet seven inches, and still loving those heels.”

Details: Her complexion is more on the tan side, and she is known for her sharp facial features. When she goes out she loves to wear jewellery. Rings, necklaces, and earrings galore. Of course she keeps it simple, but she makes sure she never goes out without it. Her favorite piece of jewellery to wear are long finger rings. She loves her hair and as a result her hair when straight runs halfway past her back.

Personality:
Normally Sheryl carries herself as a sophisticated lady. At first glance she seems very cold and hard to approach, but once people get to know her they find out that she does actually like to socialize. Well, with beautiful people. For a good image she will talk to just about anybody, but she certainly won’t enjoy all the conversations. She will talk, laugh, and flirt with just about anyone if it’s for the job, but only for the job. Her personal affairs are done elsewhere.

Sheryl is narcissistic, and she knows it. She values herself above a lot of people, and considers herself to be very beautiful. Not only is she proud, but she is also sadistic. Sheryl likes to see people beaten down, and quite frankly likes to do it herself. A manipulative woman, she likes to see people in the palm of her hand, doing her every bidding.

Relationships:
Renee Sinclaire - Details.
Daemon Davis - Details.
Angel Otero - Details.
Titaniah Flair - Details.
Oliver Gashton - Details.
Percy Lefèvre - Details.
Bastien Callent - Details.

History:
Sheryl lives in a condominium downtown. Close to work, close to malls, close to the bar, close to EVERYTHING. Very convenient.
Miss Maline works at a respected accounting firm as a CA near the downtown core. Her task is to guide the financial planning of businesses/organizations. Most of the time the very clients that come to her are the ones reluctant to reveal all the numbers about their company. In her opinion, it was stupid. They were coming for financial guidance, but would question her reason for every question. Yes, it was part of her job to explain, but it was ridiculous. It wasn’t uncommon to see her out eating dinner with a client while secretly getting the information she needed out of them.
After a long day’s work she just heads straight to a bar or a night club. The easiest to access is the Black Lantern. Not the best of places, or her favorite, but she was a regular there.

Sheryl sighed as she glanced up at the clock. The tiny hands the ticked tortured her. Dressed in a white blouse and a black pencil skirt, she stopped herself from shifting restlessly in her chair. One of her clients was sitting across from her and was refusing to provide her the necessary information she needed to create the financial statements that he had requested. It was just ridiculous. When she was still new to her job she would have given it her all to get the information, but now she only did so for the important clients. This one was just average, she had nothing to lose if he decided to find another accountant. Finally, the clock read the time she so dearly waited for; her day was over.

"Sorry Mister Johnson, we are going to have to continue tomorrow, I have some urgent matters to attend to." She said sweetly as she shook his hand.

Packing up her things and seeing him out the door, she ran a hand through her hair and walked out of the building. Today she had felt like straightening her hair and it bounced smoothly as she walked towards one of her frequent bars; The Black Lantern. Her urgent matters consisted of drinking away her day's stress.

She walked into the Black Lantern and readjusted the strap of her work bag. It was strange to see Angel outside of the kitchen, but it looked like everything was fine. She chuckled seeing that Rick looked more annoyed than usual. Perhaps it had to do with that girl with the strange hair. Preferring the darker atmosphere in the lower level, she made her way down and about to go to her usual corner when she realized it was taken by a man. Biting her red stained lips in annoyance she sat at the table next to his and called over one of the skimpy waitresses.

"Whisky on the rocks." She ordered.

Once the waitress walked away Sheryl glanced at the man sitting at the next table. She had seen him around, and recognized him as the one who seemed to enjoy the corner as much as she did. Really she had nothing against him, they never spoke, but there was one thing that seemed to always just annoy her; his hair. Not only was it long, it was a red that stood out. She just wanted to step on him, pull his hair and chop it off. Realizing she had been staring longer than she should have, she redirected her attention to the waitress that was returning with her drink.

Bastien Callent

Bastien could feel a pair of eyes on him, a hostile pair. He raised his eyes enough to look at the table next to him; it was some woman that he vaguely recognized as someone else that seemed to be a regular. Had he done something? She was glaring at him but she stopped so maybe... Did he have something on his face?

He brought a self-conscious hand to his face and wiped. He worked up what little courage he had and looked at the woman. "Excuse me," he said, hoping his voice didn't sound as pathetic as he thought it did, "But is something wrong?"

Taking the drink from the waitress she sighed and started to sip at it. Unexpectedly she heard a male voice speak out to her from her side. She slowly rose her head to look at the man at the next table. Damn, so he had noticed her staring. She felt kind of idiotic. Resisting the urge to kiss her teeth at his meekly tone, she instead prepared a sweet voice. With a fake and gentle smile, she replied, "No, sir. I just couldn't help looking at your hair. It's a bit different from the norm." Well, it wasn't a lie. It was different, but definitely more than a bit. It screamed out to her to just cut it all off, as if she were cutting through fire.

Things like that brought out her sadistic side. No, this wasn't the time for that. Then again, there wasn't really any time for that. Feeling a bit awkward about being caught staring with nothing to say, she asked another question. "Do people not give you stares? It shouldn't be strange that I was looking right?"

Bastien Callent

Bastien felt a bit relieved that there was no problem. In fact, he found himself smiling. "I actually don't get too many stares," he replied. "I um... I guess I just always tend to stay in the shadows." He tried to laugh it off, chuckling slightly even though it was sadly true. But he was hoping to change that...

One day...

Oliver Gashton

After a few more sips of his drink he decided to mingle. He didn't exactly know a lot of people, only vaguely recognized the regulars, so he planned to just choose a table that didn't seem to busy with their own conversations. He noticed a table in the back with a redhead and a very attractive woman; he decided that he would give them a try.

He stood and walked to the table. "Do you guys mind if I joined you?" he questioned. The red-headed male nodded slightly so he took a seat at his table. "I'm Oliver," he said.

Huh, a loner is he? , she thought to herself. "Staying in the shadows, hmm? Walking around with hair like that makes you stand out more than blend in." She said a little sarcastically. Still sipping away at her whiskey, she realized she was finished and sighed. Today wasn't a day where she wanted to get drunk, so perhaps she would only order one more drink. No waitress was in sight so she grumbled and swirled the glass in her hand, making the leftover melted ice cubes spin around the walls of the glass.

Hearing a voice requesting to sit with the two, she almost growled. It was just one of those days she didn't like. First a man had stolen her little corner, now another one had come to bother her. The reason she came to the Black Lantern was some peace and quiet, and maybe if she was up for it, some socializing, but that wasn't a usual. There were more men like the red-head than the ones she preferred. Her eyes darted up to the owner of the voice, but before she snapped at him her expression immediately softened. He was handsome, and not what she had expected. Sheryl recognized him as one of the regulars she saw around, but she never realized how devilishly good looking he was. Perhaps the dim lighting was to blame.

"Not at all," she said with a soft chuckle. "The name's Sheryl."

There was a blonde regular that seemed to be infatuated with Oliver, but she never understood the reason for it. Now, she could sympathize. Realizing that she was leaving the poor man out, she turned her head slightly and asked with a friendly tone, "Oh, and you?"

Oliver Gashton

Oliver smiled and took a seat. "It's nice to meet you. I've seen you both around before. Are you guys friends?" he finished curiously, sipping his drink.

Bastien Callent

Bastien was a little intimidated by the handsome newcomer, how could he not be? The man was muscled, attractive, and seemed very confident. He reminded him a lot of his brother, but Oliver seemed like a nice guy. "I'm Bastien," he said. "And we've never officially met," he added, answering the man's question. He offered the woman a smile.

Before she could explain the relationship between her and the red head, he had thankfully already beat her to it. "I've seen you around as well. I didn't think you were this cute or I would have definitely chatted you up sooner." She laughed.

Turning to Bastien she returned a smile before looking at Oliver again. "Well, thanks to you Oliver we've now officially met." She said with a chuckle. "The three of us are strangers that have learned each other's names, so I guess that makes us acquaintances?"

She had come to the Black Lantern in a bad mood, but the two men seemed to have improved it just a bit. Although Bastien's hair still annoyed her every time her eye caught a flash of his red hair, he seemed like an okay guy. Depressing, and lonely, but not causing any harm right? Oliver was dashing, and supposedly friendly, but she would rather trust the loner than the handsome one. That was just how the world seemed to work.

Suddenly she remembered something that made her smile. Oh, she must have looked like a fool all of a sudden smiling to herself. Trying to cover her strange smile with her hand she laughed and explained, "Today is Two Dollar Drinks right? I had completely forgotten. I was planning to not drink too much, but to hell with it." With a flick of her hair she called a waitress over to their table.

"Could I get a Black Velvet?" She ordered. She tapped her finger on her lip, debating if she wanted to get anything else. Then she pointed her hand at the two men. "Did you two want anything?" She asked.

Bastien offered a small smile. "I'm fine," he said. "Thank you though."

Oliver replied in kind. "I'm fine as well." He held up his glass which was still about half full. "I'll get another as soon as this one is gone."
