Introduction
RULES
1. Flaming, trolling, spamming, and derailing the topic is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
2. Keep your grammar clean. Make sure your post is legible and understandable. You may role-play in whatever format you wish, we just need to be able to understand your post.
3. Control your own character. Do not take control of anyone else's character unless you have talked with them beforehand. If someone is inactive for a while (Ex. Hours or days), you can take over minor control of their character if it's necessary to keep the thread open.
4. Do not kill anyone unless it has been planned out with the person you are killing.
5. Multiple characters are allowed (within reason).
6. Don't write people into a corner. In other words, don't make it so that other people can't do anything to get out of whatever situation you put them in. Also, don't force them to take a certain action. Allow them to choose what they want to do.
7. When talking out of character, place "OoC" or "Out or Character" before the message. If your post is not strictly out of character, make some notification that you are once again in character before proceeding. We're all intelligent people, but let's be safe rather than sorry.
8. Characters may be good, evil, or neutral.
9. Romance is allowed, if not encouraged, but keep it clean. No pornography.
10. If you are making your first post, or if you are introducing a new character into play, you MUST have a character planned, and you MUST follow this character skeleton:
Name:
Age:
Race/Species: [Doesn't have to be human, but keep it within reason]
Gender:
Alignment: [good/evil/neutral]
Personality:
Height:
Weight:
Weapons/Magic: [Note: if you include magic, there MUST be some form of corruption on their body]
Description:
Background:
Appearance:
11. If you are going to make a significant change in the plot or include a subplot, discuss this with the others beforehand and get my permission
12. Have fun! While I may have laid down some rather strict rules here, it's not to stop you from coming in and having a good time with the group. However, new roleplayers are reccommended to talk to me for advice on roleplaying to avoid future confrontations and flaming/name calling.
13. Be creative with your character. Don't be an overpowered Mary Sue or Gary Stu. I'll give you a gentle nudge via PM if your character is falling out of line in terms of power and abilities, and I may make some suggestions to the overal character to help better them and make them more likeable.
14. Keep your temper. If you have an issue with a roleplayer, send me a PM and I'll see if I cant sort something out with them.
15. Use common sense. This is probably the most important rule and a lot of the other rules could have been combined into this. Use your head on how long your posts should be, how you write your posts, and how you interact with the other people in this thread.
16. If you join YOU MUST REMAIN MODERATELY ACTIVE. There's nothing worse than someone that just drops out of an RP randomly for no reason, as it then leaves huge holes in the overall story as to where they went. If you want to leave, make your exit apparent! Don't just vanish into thin air. Obviously, nobody expects you to watch the RP 24/7. If you will be going inactive temporarily (for a long period of time such as a few days or a week), either put it at the bottom of your last post for the time being (In an OOC section). This will remind us not to ask you any questions or do anything that relies on your response until you get back.
