Bloodsong's Story

With a light scoff, the mare shook the dirt from her coat. A little ways off, a now dying changeling buzzed weakly as if it was a last attempt to call for help. It's ribs, as fragile as they were, had come victim to Bloodsong's hooves. Taking only a second to catch her breath, Bloodsong walked over to the dying creature. Pity was the only thing that shone in her bright blue eyes.

For the last months, since her Princess had been stolen, the rest of her breed had slowly begun to fall to the same fate as the light dwellers; she had seen her village burn, her town mates used as food for these weird little things.

Raising a hoof, she shut her eyes as she let it fall against the Changelings skull, causing an echoing crack to sound through the empty ally way. She had made it as far as Ponyville, and was moving slowly. From her spot near the everfree forest she had been able to see the castle from here; she was close.

Five, six, seven. Three more guards fell to their faces in the dirt. Stepping over them, Bloodsong took to the air, her wings beating soundlessly as she hid herself in the clouds. She was making her way toward Canterlot.

"I'll find you Milady." She muttered, taking a deep breath before letting out a soft belt of echolocation. Only those with hypersensitive hearing would be able to hear it. She listened intently as it bounced off this object and that, guiding her through the thick clouds to the train tracks that ran from the village down below to the mighty castle.
