"Never fails it's the ones that have money that don't tip worth a crap", she picked up the tray full of soiled dishes and set them into the wash tub next to the door leading to the kitchen. She then stood and waited for the next customer to come in.
"Some of a bitch!" Devin shouted baisically across the bar, running up to the stool at full speed, jumping on it, and spinning. After three minutes of spinning, he stopped the stool, shook off how disey he was, and slammed and twenty on the table. "Three bud lights, dall."
"Why out of all the bars in this town did he have to come to this one" she whispered under her breath.
"Some of a bitch!"
He hadn't changed as she watched him sit down at the bar at one of the old stools and spin around in it like a five year old. Raven rolled her eyes again, what was her mother thinking when she married this over grown kid. The stool made an irritating squeaking sound as he spun, and Raven sighed.
"Three bud lights, dall."
Raven growled a bit as she set three beers in front of him, she decided that she wouldn't act like she knew him, hoping that her boss wouldn't find out that this idiot was her father. The last thing she needed was for him to pull something stupid and for her to loose her job. She had kept this job for almost a year and loved it she was even thinking of going to bar-tending school.

Checking his watch he was still pretty early to get into his afternoon routine of relaxing around the house, so he walked into the bar, his face grimicing at the loud music. Humming softly he walked to his father tapping him on the shoulder he spoke rather loudly forgetting his hands were over his ears. " Hi Dad...can I ask you something!?"
"Shhh... hush I got a good job here Devin, I don't want the boss to know that I'm related to you. Especially if you do something stupid he doesn't like." she said addressing her father by his first name. She hand never really called him daddy, dad or anything other than dead beat. So the his first name sounded awkward rolling off her tongue.
She then looked up as someone walked into the room, it was a young guy that Raven had never seen before. She could feel the yes of her boss boring into the back of her head. The kid was obviously too young to be in a bar but it was also obvious that he didn't really know any better.
" Hi Dad...can I ask you something!?"
Raven mentally face palmed it was one her father's adopted kids, she decided that she should try to carefully let this kid know, that he was too young to be in here. And that he should ask his father questions once he returned home. But then again this was Devin so he was very rarely home. She turned to the young man with a gentle smile.
"So this is your dad huh, well I'm afraid that if you're not 21 honey you're gonna have to wait to ask him something. I could really get in allot of trouble if I let you stay in here. So please if you can quickly ask him the question, and then leave that would be great and keep me out of trouble".
Ali looked to the woman as she spoke he listened carefully to what she said and took a while to reply. As he thought of his answer he looked around the bar his eyes picking out fine details such as the signs that said that under twenty owned were not allowed to buy alcohol. The bar served food so Ali was allowed to stay as long as he stayed away from the bar.
" but... I'm not going to buy any alcohol...and if...if I did you would have to ask for ID which I don't have because I'm not old enough to drink...alcohol that is...see" Ali pointed to the sign above the bar that said." No drinks served to patrons under 21 years of age"
"What the hell's going on Rave?" he said his voice slurring a little, which was either from the toothpick or the bottle of Jack he kept in his office. Raven wasn't sure and she really didn't want to find out, the kid explained that nowhere did it say that he couldn't be in the bar as long as he doesn't buy alcohol. Raven sighed the kid was right but the type of people that came into the bar were not the best people for a someone so young to be around.
She gave a weak smile to Nick, "Oh it's nothing Nick I got it under control".
Nick eyebrow rose and he looked at the kid, "Hey you little punk don't start no shit or I'll throw you and your daddy out on your ass ya got me" he then turned and went back to his office slamming the door. The vibration reverberated through the glasses on the bar, made a tinkling sound that echoed throughout the room.
Raven sighed in relief and turned back to Devin, "Listen Devin don't stay here too long my boss doesn't like kids in here" she warned and then went to go clean off another table where a man was sleeping with his head down. She proceeded to pick up glasses and trash around the guy. Pushing him up in his chair, this didn't faze the guys cause he just leaned back with drool hanging out the corner of his mouth giving a loud snort in his sleep. Raven wiped down the table and then sat the man back in his original position.
She then nudged his shoulder gently, "Hey Phil wake up, your cabs gonna be here soon".
