❝The Basics❞

Image| Full Name |
"It was my fathers name." Damien James Fox

Nickname
"Can't exactly shorten Damien, now can ya?" Damien mostly just goes by Damien. Sometimes he'll just go by D, but that's as far as nicknames usually go for him.

Age
"I used to think age meant everything. Now it's only a number." Twenty-seven years-old.

Gender
"Trust me babe. I'm all male." Male.

Role
"I enjoy my work." Trainer on the ranch as well as stable hand & personal handyman to the D'Angelo family.

❝The Disguise❞

Image
Image
Eye color
"Why is it so important?" Damien's eyes are a light, caramel brown. They're honey-ish with hints of darker hues, and small, almost unnoticeable flecks of green in them. A lot of girls love his eyes, and he's been told they're the type of eyes that make women swoon. They're honest, and open, freely displaying his emotion.

Hair Color
"Uh.. Normal? Who cares? It's just hair?" Damien's hair is a light, sandy blonde color, with streaks of darker blondes and browns mixed throughout. He tends to keep it a little grown out, since it requires less haircuts, but makes sure it doesn't get too long, so it's not in his face and interferring with his work at the ranch. Sometimes, he'll get it cut really short, but this is usually for nice occasions and such.

Skin Tone
"I'm in the sun a lot." Damien works out in the sun all day long, everyday, so his skin is very tolerant of the sun's harmful rays. He doesn't burn easily, unless he stays out for way too long, but typically, his skin is very darkly tanned. In the winter, the tan lightens a little bit, but not a whole lot.

Height & Weight
"I do a lot of physical work." Damien helps train the girls and their horses, sure, but he's also a ranch-hand as well as a hand man around the place, and this means he does a lot of physical labor. As such, he is very physically fit with washboard abs, visible muscles, the whole nine yards. He weighs in at around 220 lbs, and stands at a height of about 6'4"

Distinct Markings
"Yeah. I've got a few." Damien isn't overly obsessed with tattoos, but he has a couple.
Tattoos
Damien's first tattoo is on the underside of his right arm, like the placement of the one in the very first picture. It's in a simple font, and reads: "Jamie." He got this on the night of his wedding, and has regretted it ever since. Another tattoo of his is one of a howling wolf, that sits on the right side of his chest. His third, and final tattoo runs up the inside of his left forearm, from wrist to elbow, and is of a fox. His last name.
Piercings
Damien currently has no piercings. Jamie keeps begging him to get his ear pierced, saying it's hot, but he keeps refusing.
Scars
Damien has had many accidents in his years on the ranch, and, as such, has a few scars. One of his biggest scars runs up the inside of his right arm and is from slipping while he was working with a saw, and cutting himself badly. He almost died, as he had severed a major vein, and he was sure that, if the blood loss didn't kill him, the hospital bill would, but Mr. D'Aneglo had insisted that, since he'd hurt himself working for him, he would pay the bill. Another scar of his is on the back of his neck, and another one a little lower down on his shoulder blade. These two are from falling out a window while attempting to fix it. Nikota's window, to be exact. Below, he landed on a pile of rocks, and nearly split his head open. Another noticeable scar is on his left calf. This one, he got when he was living on the streets, in a fight with another boy over a winter coat. He won the fight, and nearly killed the boy. He does his best not to talk about this one.

His marriage - Damien loves Jamie, he really does, it's just that, he's not sure how much longer "they" can last as a couple. Everyone in his family is divorced, and he fears that maybe that will happen to them too.
Not being good enough - He fears being seen as inadequate/useless.

Personality
Honest
[ on - ist ]
Adjective

1. Honorable in principles, intentions, and actions.
2. Showing uprightness and fairness.
3. Gained or obtained fairly.
4. Sincere, frank, genuine.

"If there's one thing you need to know about me, it's that, if you take care of me, you can make damn sure, I'll take care of you." Damien is a good guy. He may make some questionable choices sometimes, and he may have a somewhat shady background, but that background has made him into a dependable person.

Now, he's not exactly the type of man you'd want your daughter to date, as he has his downsides for sure, but he's loyal, he's hard working, and, above all, he does his best to be honest with people. He doesn't like to lie to people, especially people who are important to him, like Mr. D'Angelo or his daughter or step-daughter. If you have his trust, he is, without a doubt a man you can count on.

He doesn't like when people give him things out of charity either. He likes to work for his keep, and works extremely hard. Maybe even a little too hard, but he takes pride in his work, and every task he sets his mind to is completed as such. He half-asses nothing.

Damien may be a good guy, but that does not mean he's a saint. He grew up mostly on the streets, and has done his fair share of highly questionable things in order to survive. When it comes down to it, if he has to choose between his integrity and pride, and his survival, survival wins hands down. If his life, or the lives of those who are close to him, are in danger, he has no trouble going as far as to commit murder.

Damien also has a pretty fiery temper. He can get angered easily, and, when angered, can get blinded by rage, to the point where, he wont even realize what he's doing. He hit Jamie once, and that nearly killed him. He couldn't live with himself for weeks. Even after she'd forgiven him. He's not the type of person to be aggressive with women, and hates when he sees it, but every so often, when blinded by rage, he can be very unpredictable.

Damien is also quite territorial of people and things. If someone were to threaten Jamie or those he cares about, he'd have no trouble breaking necks. He's the jealous type, and can't help it. He doesn't even like Jamie talking to other men. She jokes that he keeps her on a tight leash, but she knows he only does it out of love for her.

Damien is a great guy to those who are good to him, and he's fairly laid back. Not a lot can put you on his bad side, but, it is possible to be there. Even though Damien is a good man to those he cares for, one cannot say the same for those he doesn't.

❝Welcome to my life❞

History
"Eh. It hasn't been easy, that's for sure." Damien got off to kind of a rough start, but he's a "make the best of it" kind of guy, so that's exactly what he did. He made the best of his terrible situations, and it's gotten him a wife, a good job, and a small home on the ranch.

Damien was born to a prostitute named Mila. The woman never really wanted Damien, and he honestly doesn't remember much about her because he only lived with her until he was eight. When he was eight, she was killed in a shooting, and Damien was left alone on the streets.

He quickly learned how to adapt, and, while he wasn't great at it, seeing as he was so young, he managed to survive. He was an expert thief by age ten.

When he was fifteen, was when he met Mr. D'Angelo. He was living on the streets of Italy at the time, and Mr. D'Angelo spotted him trying to steal from a coffee shop. The man grabbed his hand, and shook his head. "A man doesn't steal." He said, "a man works for what he wants." This has been pretty much his personal motto ever since.

That night, Mr. D'Angelo allowed him to come home for dinner. He met his daughter, who was only four at the time, and his wife. His wife argued in the kitchen after diner with Mr. D'Angelo about allowing him to stay with them. He complained that he'd caught him stealing, and what if he stole from them?, but she had too big of a heart to throw him out on the streets. In the end, they decided he could stay, but he had to work for his room and his food. He was to work under Mr. D'Aneglo as a horse trainer, for the man was one of the best. He grew close to the family, quickly, and, when he was 17, asked Mr. D'Angelo to build him a home. Still on the grounds, but separate from the main house. So that he could pay rent, and feel as though he was living his own life, not mooching off the family. Seeing this as a good idea, he did.

When he was 24, Mr. D'Angelo and him were out for drinks when tragedy struck. Someone had broken into the home. They returned to find the house reduced to nothing but a pile of ash, Mrs. D'Angelo dead, and young Nikota seriously injured. The D'Angelo's were his first real family, and so, he took the deaths pretty hard and started drinking heavily, and even left the ranch for a year. He wasn't there to help them through the tragedy like he should have been and the guilt nearly killed him.

When he returned a year later, he found that Mr. D'Angelo had remarried, and had started a new ranch. He took Damien back in happily, glad to have him back.

This was when he met Jamie. The new Mrs. D'Angelo hired her to train the horses in his absence, and he fell for her hard and fell for her fast. Neither of them were very rich, and neither of them were the type for extravagance, so they didn't tell anyone when they got engaged. They knew Mr. D'Angelo would want to throw a big, expensive wedding, so they hid it, and packed up in the middle of the night and left for Vegas.

Their wedding was a drunken event, and Damien got a tattoo of Jamie's name, which he later regretted. They were gone for a month, and when they returned, they were married. They have now been married for almost a year now and live in a small, but decent house just at the very edge of the D'Angelo property, that they pay rent for. Jamie is talking about kids more and more, and Damien isn't sure he wants them. He still loves her, but life with her hasn't exactly been perfect for the last month.

Desperado
- By The Eagles
Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
You been out ridin' fences for so long now
Oh, you're a hard one
I know that you got your reasons
These things that are pleasin' you
Can hurt you somehow

Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy
She'll beat you if she's able
You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet

Now it seems to me, some fine things
Have been laid upon your table
But you only want the ones that you can't get

Desperado, oh, you ain't gettin' no younger
Your pain and your hunger, they're drivin' you home
And freedom, oh freedom well, that's just some people talkin'
Your prison is walking through this world all alone

Don't your feet get cold in the winter time?
The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine
It's hard to tell the night time from the day
You're losin' all your highs and lows
Ain't it funny how the feeling goes away?

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
It may be rainin', but there's a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you, before it's too late

Call Me
- By Shinedown
Wrap me in a bolt of lightning
Send me on my way still smiling
Maybe that's the way I should go,
Straight into the mouth of the unknown
I left the spare key on the table
Never really thought I'd be able to say
I merely visit on the weekends
I lost my whole life and a dear friend

I've said it so many times
I would change my ways
No, nevermind
God knows I've tried

[Chorus]
Call me a sinner, call me a saint
Tell me it's over I'll still love you the same
Call me your favorite, call me the worst
Tell me it's over I don't want you to hurt
It's all that I can say. So, I'll be on my way

I finally put it all together,
But nothing really lasts forever
I had to make a choice that was not mine,
I had to say goodbye for the last time
I kept my whole life in suitcase,
Never really stayed in one place
Maybe that's the way it should be,
You know I live my life like a gypsy

I've said it so many times
I would change my ways
No, nevermind
God knows I've tried

[Chorus]
Call me a sinner, call me a saint
Tell me it's over I'll still love you the same
Call me your favorite, call me the worst
Tell me it's over I don't want you to hurt
It's all that I can say. So, I'll be on my way

I'll always keep you inside, you healed my
Heart and my life... And you know I try.

[Chorus]
Call me a sinner, call me a saint
Tell me it's over I'll still love you the same
Call me your favorite, call me the worst
Tell me it's over I don't want you to hurt
It's all that I can say. So, I'll be on my way
So, I'll be on my way
So, I'll be on my way

“Dustin thought so too.” She said, and his fists clenched tightly, but briefly as he regained his cool. “Where's your trophy wife?” Damien laughed lightly and simply shrugged as though he didn't know.

Then she stepped extremely close and whispered in Italian in his ear. He grinned at her wickedly, and laughed lightly. "Potrebbe essere difficile con voi cercando di simile."
(It might be hard, with you looking like that.) He whispered back and smirked lightly.

“Your not bother My girl now, are you?” Dustin said as he returned, reclaiming possession of Niki, and Damien rolled his eyes.
Personally, Damien found the kid pathetic. The way he thought he owned Niki, when all he did was follow her around, pining after something he's never really have. And the way he failed to realize all she was doing was toying with him. Stringing him along, and keeping him close as her personal lapdog. It was more than just pathetic. It was downright ridiculous.

Yet Damien was still jealous of him. He was the perfect age for her, and, if she wanted him, he could actually have her because her father more than approved, even kind of pushed him at her. He could be with her in public. And he could be with her without constantly breaking her heart, and that's what Damien dreaded the most. Hurting her.

Then, Niki looked right at him, taunting him, before she grabbed Dustin and kissed him on the lips. Damien's jaw clenched, and he tightened his fists, wanting more then ever to hit Dustin.

But what would that solve?

That would only raise pretty much everyone's eyes, as well as suspicions. He had to grin and bear it. At least for now.

So he did. His fists unclenched, and his jaw untightened, and he smiled lightly at her as they seperated, before turning to Dustin. "Nah, I wasn't bothering her," he said with a shrug before his eyes returned to Niki. "I was just saying hi." His words were simple enough, but it was a loaded statement. His eyes said something else. Told her he was ready for whatever she threw at him. Almost challenging her.

“Hey Cupcake,” Jessie responded to her and Kit couldn't help but tensing a little. “You look…nice.” She sensed a little tension, but figured maybe it was just her being overly paranoid. As always. Jessie checked out other girls all the time, to the point where she refused to let it bother her anymore. She wasn't going to be petty and make him keep his eyes on her only.

If only she could get him to keep his hands on her only.

“I’ll be right Back babe.” He said, kissing her forehead lightly, making her smiled a little as he grabbed Olive roughly and yanked her away. “Your Relentless.” He said loudly, and she raised her eyebrows, hoping he was dragging her off to make her leave him the Hell alone. She was sick of Olive, and she made a mental note to try and convince her step-father into firing her.

From the bar, she watched as Jessie seemed to be telling Olive off, but the way he kept glancing at her, as though making sure she was watching, didn't seem right. She was about to stand and walk over to him, wanting to hear his words for herself, when a hand landed on her shoulder. "Hey Kitten, why you sitting here by yourself? Want to dance?" A boy she vaguely remembered hooking up with once asked with a grin.

Kitty laughed lightly and shrugged his hand off her shoulder, glancing to where Jessie was, making his way back. "I would get out of here if I were you." She said with a smirk.

This only made the guy step closer. "And why's that?" He asked, almost tauntingly.

"Because only he calls me Kitten," she said, hooking her thumb over her shoulder to where Jessie was. "And unless you want your ass kicked, I suggest you get a move on." She winked and he rolled his eyes, taking off just as Jessie arrived.

"Welcome back babe." She smirked, ordering two drinks. The guy behind the bar looked at her funny, as though he wanted to card her, but he knew who she was, so he slid her the drinks anyway and she pushed one to Jessie.

"How's the slut?" She asked, watching him carefully, remembering her suspicion. She wanted to see his eyes when she mentioned her. So hopefully, there'd be nothing there and she could put her paranoia at ease for once.

Dustin smirked as Niki pulled away, there was nothing there between them, not that Niki could feel anyways. She felt nothing and the kiss was easily forgettable. Her eyes fell back on Damien and she was more than a little irritated with the look that he’d given her. Taunting, she hated that he knew her game, he’d had twelve years of watching her, studying her, and he’d done his homework.

She tried her best not to let her irritation show through, she shot him an equally as taunting smile. She already knew they were going to hurt each other tonight, she’d make him jealous but he could play the same game. His look said it all, whatever she was going to throw at him, he was going to do the same. She cocked her head to the side, crossing her arms in front of her, her red lips held a wicked smiled.

She downed her drink quickly, it burned down her throat and it was stronger than she expected, but her face showed now weakness to the strong liquor. She shoved the cup back at Dustin. “Mind getting me another.” She wasn’t asking, Dustin rolled his eyes.

“Nik, don’t you think you should pace…” he started but she cut him off harshly

“Dustin are you my babysitter.” She asked, never taking her eyes off Damien “Didn’t think so.” She said before he could answer, he huffed a bit, but obeyed his orders, leaving Damien and Niki alone once again. She waited until Dustin’s back was turned to them before she grabbed Damien pulling him roughly slipping out the back of the barn, knowing that no one would be back there. She’d have to be quick, she knew Dustin would be looking for her. She continued to drag him behind her, without a word rounding the side of the barn. The music could still be heard clearly, her adrenaline pumping through her veins like liquid fire as she pushed him against the barn harshly, though it was still playful she closed the space between them grabbing his shirt and pulling his lips to hers.

Kissing him deeply, but the kiss was different from the past ones they’d shared, it was the kind of kiss that felt like poison, but you couldn’t pull away. It was toxic, deadly, but in a good way. The kind of kiss that was territorial, possessive. She pulled away pushing him into the barn wall once again. She stepped…or more like stumbled back gaining her composure for a moment, the dirt was like quick sand to her high heels. She looked at him, smirking.

“Don’t do anything you’ll regret D.” The statement held several meanings. It was dark and threatening, her voice sounded foreign even to her own ears. She winked and before he could answer she disappeared back into the barn.

“Where the hell did you go?” Dustin said catching her off guard, she nearly jumped out of her skin, but she quickly collected herself.

“Sorry, Macho Man was acting up, had to go calm him down.” She said offering a fake smile.

Jessie saw the other guy that had approached Kat which made him pick up his pace. He was ten times more aggressive and ten times more jealous when he had substance in his system. He could feel his whole body tense and his fist clench, read to punch the guy the second he got there, but by the time he’d gotten there he was walking away he watched him for a moment, placing his fists in his pocket.

"Welcome back babe." her voice brought him from his thoughts, he started to relax a little and he brought his deep blue eyes to look into hers, allowing a smirk. "How's the slut?" he heard her ask and h winced a bit.

“Fine, bitch won’t leave me alone.” He meant it, cause the truth was Olive had been up his ass since he’d gotten here, but at the same time she was good to have around as a fall back, he hated himself for thinking that way, but that was Jessie for you. “She doesn’t get the hint.” He said taking a swig of the heavy alcohol. It felt good to him as it burned down his throat and he glanced back to Kitty. “It’s scary how well you know me Kitten” he said gesturing to his drink.

He glanced up his eyes falling back on the guy who’d been with Kitty a few moments ago. He was with three or four other guys. He recognized them all of them, the guy who’d approached Kitty was the captain of the football team , he was also the guy he’d walked in on with Kitty and practically beat the shit out of than drug Kat at of the room. The rest of the guys were his group of jock-asshole friends. The way they were talking and carrying on glancing over at Jessie every now and again. He wasn’t stupid he knew they were going to try something tonight, catch him in a corner and gang up on him. He smirked at the thought, if they were stupid enough to fight him, then they obviously didn’t have much common sense. Jessie had taken on more guys then there little group, bigger guys even.

“What is it that you guys do?” Jessie looked at Kat a little confused “You and Niki I mean, it’s like you guys have some kind of Vacancy sign, all the guys just can’t stay away.” He smirked “Don’t be surprised when I beat your little boyfriends face in.” he said in a more serious tone.

“Fine, bitch won’t leave me alone.” He said, and Kitty could tell he'd meant it, so she relaxed a little, though that didn't mean she suddenly liked Olive better, she still hated the bitch. “She doesn’t get the hint.” Kit scoffed and rolled her eyes playfully, agreeing with a smile.

“It’s scary how well you know me Kitten,” he said, taking a drink, and she smirked at him over the rim over her own with a casual shrug.

Her eyes followed his behind her to Marc and his friends. She'd hooked up with almost all of them, and she smirked, her eyes turning back to Jessie's face, knowing he was remembering Marc in particular, because he'd caught them. She watched the way he watched them, loving that she could make him just as jealous as he made her.

“What is it that you guys do?” Jessie asked her and looked at her, and she just tilted her head, confused, waiting for him to explain. “You and Niki I mean, it’s like you guys have some kind of Vacancy sign, all the guys just can’t stay away.” He smirked “Don’t be surprised when I beat your little boyfriends face in.”

Kitty smiled and laughed lightly. "We just know how to play the game Jessie." She said with a shrug and glanced briefly at Marc, who was now looking at her, with a look that told her he was far from done trying to get with her. She simply flipped him off and blew him a kiss before turning back to Jessie, setting her drink down and pulling him close by his belt buckle.

"You're sexy when you're jealous, you know that?" She whispered playfully, kissing him roughly before pulling back and going back to her drink with a wicked grin.

Damien smiled as she quickly got rid of Dustin, forcing him to go get her another drink, never taking her eyes off him. For a second, he watched the kid go, baffeled by how stupid he was. Any other guy would have known what she'd had in mind. He did.

So he wasn't surprised when she grabbed him roughly and dragged him out to the back of the barn as swiftly as she could.

She pushed him roughly against the barn, and he grinned, wrapping his arms tightly around her, pulling her body to his as she kissed him hard. It was deep, and desperate, filled with all the things they couldn't have. All the things they'd never be able to have, making it dangerous, but yet perfect.

His fingers gently drifted up her spine to the zipper on the back of her dress whens he pushed away from him suddenly, and, at first he thought maybe that was why, but then he saw her face. It was because she was done with him now. She'd gotten what she'd wanted a hot, meaningful kiss, but she didn't want anything more at the moment, and she had to get back before Dustin noticed her missing.

“Don’t do anything you’ll regret D.” She said dangerously, almost threatening him, and he smirked as she took off on him.

He stood there for a moment in the dark before heading in after her. Jamie intercepted him just as he came in and gave him a funny look. "What the hell were you doing out there?" She asked, confused, as she shoved a beer in his hands, which he quickly popped open and took a drink of.

"Getting air." He said with a shrug, wrapping his arm around her waist and leading her past Niki. "Non potrò mai rimpianto di baciarti, Kota."
(I will never regret kissing you, Kota.) He whispered just loud enough for only her to hear as they passed, knowing she'd meant other things by what she said as well.

Dustin grabbed her around her waist pulling her to him and as much as she wanted to fight him and push him away, she simply couldn’t, that kiss had literally taken everything out of her. She gave him a weak smile, luckily Dustin wasn’t exactly good at reading people or else she’d be shit out of luck.

“Non potrò mai rimpianto di baciarti, Kota.” She heard Damien whisper and her heart nearly stopped. He meant it and she had to keep herself from breaking down and completely creaking at that moment.
---
It was well into the party, time seemed to be flying by, time always seemed to go by faster when Niki just wanted it to slow down. Dustin had left her alone and she was thankful for that. He wasn’t drunk but he’d had enough that he was acting like he was drunk. Her eyes drifted over the party, Dustin talking amongst his rich, college friends. Kat and Jessie seemed to surprisingly be getting along, she wasn’t exactly sure what had gotten into the two, but it seemed for the moment they were in perfect harmony. Her father and step-mother were making their rounds socializing with everyone, her father might as well be the damn mayor the way he talked and socialized. Then her eyes fell on Damien and Jamie.

They actually looked happy or Damien was a really good actor. The way they were laughing and carrying on and for a moment she felt as though he didn’t even know who she was and he didn’t care. He been so good at pretending they didn’t even know each other for the past few hours. She hated the way he made her feel so...helpless. Last year she wouldn’t have cared, last year she wouldn’t have even paid attention to him. She would have been 2 sheets to the wind and hooking up with The quarter back or one of the other jocks, boys her own age. But, that wasn’t the case this year she sat alone, by herself at a table. She wasn’t sulking though, Niki didn’t sulk it was something that was below her, she was just lost in her own thoughts.

She was brought from her thoughts, when the loud country song faded into a softer song, a slower song, that was surprisingly not country. She let out a soft sigh, before watching as Dustin crossed the floor to where Damien and Jamie stood with a group of their friends or more so Jamie’s friends. Dustin was good for keeping his promises, even ones he hated. Jamie happily accepted his request for her to dance with him and Niki looked away, hoping maybe Damien had forgotten. She wasn’t sure if she could dance with him with so many eyes on them and not creak. She looked down at her hands, wishing for the first time in her life she could simply disappear.

“You’re sexy when you’re jealous, you know that?” Jessie smirked at this and he lend down kissing her gently, but passionately. Making sure she knew that the kiss meant more than just a kiss, the kiss told her he loved her. He pulled away though leaving his forehead pressed to hers. Looking her in the eyes.

“Your sexier” he smirked winking at her kissing her again.
---
Jessie was seemingly impressed with the fact that him and Kat were still getting along. He was convinced this was the longest they’d ever been normal it was scaring him. Good things didn’t happen to Jessie Blackburn and when they did, it was sure to be followed by something awful. It was like for every moment he was happy, their would be double the consequence and he could feel it like heavy cloud hanging over head. He choose to ignore it though, best he could.

He was slowly coming sown from his heavy high from earlier, but he hadn’t noticed. He’d been too busy paying attention to Kitty to even care. They were actually talking...laughing...appreciating each other. It felt good better than any drug he’d ever taken, he was desperate to make the moment last as long as it could in fear they’d never be this way again. He took another sip of his beer, he’d drunken so much over the that it took more then a few beers and a couple shots to get him drunk. Though he was starting to feel a buzz. The two were sitting at one of the back tables, he pulled Kat to him so that she was sitting on his lap. He wrapped his arm around her waist, giving her a smile.

“There’s something seriously wrong here.” he teased “What the hell happened?” he said kissing her cheek “Us not fighting...I think hell froze over babe.” he let out a light laugh. “and it’s all your fault.” he smirked kissing her lips.

He was relived when a softer, less country song began to drift through the barn. He carefully stood up, though keeping Kat close to him. He let out a breath almost as if he was defeated, rubbing the back of his neck. “Listen, I don’t really know how to do this whole asking thing, but you want to dance?” he smiled.

Kitty was shocked. Hours had passed, and the party was heating up, but, for some reason, her and Jessie hadn't. At least not in a bad way. She was happy as they laughed and talked, and had a genuinely good time. Happier then she'd been in a really long time, and the great thing was that she didn't have to take a pill. She didn't need any medication. Jessie was her medication. His sweet side was saving her, while his asshole side was killing her.

However the night was hardly over, she knew that. The pit in her stomach told her that Jessie could still break her heart, and she could still break his. That everything could go south in an instant.

For the moment, at least though, she chose to ignore it. Chose to be just happy with what she had.

She grinned as he pulled her into his lap, and placed her arms on his shoulders, looking him in the eyes, wanting him to know how happy she was. “There’s something seriously wrong here.” He teased, and she chuckled. “What the hell happened?” He said kissing her cheek, making it warm. “Us not fighting...I think hell froze over babe and it’s all your fault.”

He leaned in and kissed her, and she kissed him back, reveling in the way it felt to be with him. The real him.

A slower song came on, and Jessie stood, pulling her close. “Listen, I don’t really know how to do this whole asking thing, but you want to dance?” She smiled, and bit her lip, nodding.

They'd never slow danced before. They weren't really romantic like that, and Kitty didn't hate it. She loved when Jessie was possessive, and a little aggressive, but she had to say, for him to be sweet and romantic was incredible. She felt normal. Something most girls try not to be, wanting to be cute and original, but all Kitty had ever wanted was to be a normal girl who didn't have to take pills to keep from slipping into a panic attack, or to be happy, or to shut her over active mind off sometimes. A girl who just wanted gushy romantic shit, not Jessie's bipolar abuse.

She grinned as she lead him to the dance floor. "Don't worry." She smirked as she pulled him close. "I'll go easy on you." She chuckled lightly under her breath, seeing as she was a dancer.

She pulled herself to his chest and rested her head gently against him, moving slowly to the music, feeling his heart beating against hers. She closed her eyes, and a few tears rolled down, though not because she was sad. Because the moment was too perfect to believe it was happening to her. Too perfect to last. She didn't want it to end. Didn't want to let go of him, for fear that the normal Jessie would come out. "I love you." She whispered gently.

Eventually, the music ended, and Kitty stood for a moment, pulling Jessie close and kissing him deeply before placing her lips right by his ear. "What do you say we just get out of here?" She whispered softly, wanting to leave with him while she still had him like this. While they were still happy, having a feeling something horrible was coming.

Damien buzzed around the party all night with Jamie on his arm, talking to her friends, talking to Dustin's friends, talking to Mr. D'Angelo's friends. He'd talked to so many people that, by that point, he was jut smiling and nodding. Agreeing with Jamie when needed, and disagreeing when her should like a good little piece of arm candy.

The whole time, Niki was on his mind. He was pretending he didn't know her, acting suave and cool, but really, every chance he got, he was glancing at her out the corner of his eye.

On the surface, he laughed at a joke one of Jamie's friends made about them being a perfect match, but on the inside, he was just hoping it would end. All of it. Jamie. The party. The pregnancy. The secrecy. Dustin.

Everything but his feelings for Niki. Even though they were causing all his troubles and hurting both him and Nikota, he would never give them ups for anything.

Dustin came over to them and placed a hand on his back, leaning in as though they were about to share a big secret. "I promised you a dance." He said simply, and Damien looked at him, confused, until he lifted his hand, gesturing to Niki across the room, and he remembered their deal.

He nodded to him gently, and looked at Jamie. "Babe. It's tradition for me to dance with Nik. I've done it every year." He said kissing her gently, not wanting her to say no, before crossing the room to where Niki was, looking down at her hands.

He stood in front of her and took one of her hands, leading her out to the dancefloor, not giving her a chance. "You promised." He whispered as he pulled her close and danced slowly to the music. It felt so good he wouldn't have cared if it lasted forever. It was incredible, not to have to pretend, or hide it. He was able to hold her close, with everyone around and he wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

"Ti amo, Kota."
(I love you, Kota." He whispered gently to her in Italian, not caring if it was too soon for the words, just knowing they were true.

Damien hadn’t forgotten and she hadn’t been paying attention but the moment his hand touched hers, she knew it was him. He let her to the dance floor and just as she opened her mouth to object he reminded her that she had promised, which made her smile. He pulled her in and she rested her head on his chest. Taking in the moment, to everyone around them, who knew the D’ Angelo’s, they would see a brother and sister sharing a very cute Kodak moment. Though between her an Damien they knew it was more and she kind of liked the that they were the only ones who knew more than everyone else.

“Ti amo, Kota.” he whispered, causing her to freeze though Damien was still guiding her. She was sure she’d imagined it, but she knew she hadn’t. She wanted to pull away from him, it made her so made, why would he lie to her. But, she knew all to well Damien wasn’t one for lying, avoiding the truth yes, but lying wasn’t something he did or could do especially not to Niki of all people. She felt tears escape from her eyes, she hated him for saying that. She pulled away from him just enough so she could see his eyes, she could careless if he saw her crying.

“You don’t” she said softly refusing to believe him “You...you can’t.” she was begging him to to love her, for both there sakes. She loved him to though, she’d always loved him. How could she not, he’d always been right beside her and she was just now realizing it all of it. The song ended, she immediately felt eyes on her, Dustin’s judging. She glanced to see both Jamie and Dustin headed their way. She could tell by the look on Dustin’s face he was pissed, because in his eyes it didn’t matter what was going on, all that matter was Niki was crying and Damien was there. Niki felt so stupid. She quickly whipped her tears, Dustin stepped between her and Damien, protectively.

“You okay Nik?” he whispered to her, whipping her tears.

“Dustin, it’s not...” Niki tried to explain but Dustin was clearly ignoring her he’d made up his mind. His fist clenched.

“Stay the fuck away from her Fox.” his tone was deadly, as he threatened Damien.

“Dustin Stop.” Niki ordered him and for once he wasn’t listening to her.

“Both of you knock it off.” Jamie cooed, placing a hand on Damien’s chest, causing Niki to wince as she fought back a waterfall of insults. “I’m sure Niki is just being over dramatic, like always.” she said sweetly, flashing Niki a smile “Right Nik?” she smirked.

Niki swallowed hard, nodding gently. "Yeah. That's it." she whispered in defeat.

"That's bull shit and you know it Nikota. What he do to you." Dustin was ordering Niki.

“I love you” her words seemed fake, yet so real. It was as if he was dreaming. He pulled her closer even, then she was and kissed the top of her head.

“I love you too Kitten.” his words were soft, meaning full.

The music ended and he wished it hadn’t, but it did and he needed to tell her. He needed to be honest with her about Olive and the drugs. He knew it hurt her, but he’d hoped she’d at least give him the benefit of the doubt, for telling her, though he already knew that was highly unlikely. She deserved to hear it from him, not Olive.

“What do you say we just get out of here.” her voice was desperate, matching the way he felt.

For the first time in years he had a clear head, he was well aware of everything going on around him and it terrified him more then he knew. He felt weak, the drugs and alcohol had been his crutch for so long, it was what drove him, it was who he was. He didn’t answer her. He simple locked his fingers with hers and that was all it took as he led her out of the barn to the front. Their was no one around and the road was dark, with only the lights from inside the barn to illuminate them. He stood there in silence for a moment debating on which direction they’d go...where they’d go.

He could feel himself growing paranoid, that’s why he did the drugs or started doing them, he was always paranoid. Looking over his shoulder, sleeping with a gun under his pillow. He decide to take a right, it would lead them to the main road. They walked in silence for a few moments, before they stopped, headlights blinding them. The car stopped a few feet in front of them and he immediately pushed Kat behind him protectively.

“This is...wrong.” he breath, there was pure terror in his voice something he knew Kat had never heard.

“Dad! No! Just leave him alone!” the voice frantic, crying, but it was familiar to him, he hadn’t heard it in years. His stomach turned and his heart raced, he suddenly felt as though he was going to throw up, his breathing was heavy and his whole body was tense.
He turned to Kat, fear in his eyes. “Please, just this once listen to me.” he begged “run and don’t look back.” he said kissing her quickly before pushing her back in the direction of the barn.

He stepped forward, his sister’s silhouette, lit by the headlights of his fathers SUV. His brother followed behind his father, even in the dark he could see the defeat written all over his brothers body. His sister screamed begging their father. He seen his brother the day Mr. D’ Angelo had brought him back to the ranch, they’d had only a few moments to catch up and he’d stupidly let it slip where he was, his brother had slipped to he assumed.

“Jessie.” his father’s voice was like thunder.

“Daddy please.” Jade begged now standing in front of Jessie.

He was frozen he hopped he was going to wake up at any moment, from this bad dream. Jessie was only scared of two things in this entire world. His father and loosing Kattrina.

He watched his father shove his sister to the ground, he took a few steps back, before feeling a hard blow to his stomach causing him to gasp for air.

“What the fuck do you think your doing. Trying to run from me you worthless piece of shit!” his father yelled, whisky and cigars on his breath. His father pulled him close, with a rough grasp, keeping him doubled over before kneeing him in the chest. Jessie gasped for air again. He’d hopped Kat was gone, that she hadn’t been watching this.

Their was a click, Jessie knew the sound well it was a the sound of someone cocking a gun. Jessie closed his eyes, his father had always promised he’d kill him and he figured he’d finally be following through with his promise. Everything seemed to slow down and Kat came to mind, in fact that was the only thing he could think about.

“Let him go.” the voice brought him from his thoughts and he watched as his father backed away. Jessie struggled to stand up straight though he was sure he had at least one broken rib. “I suggest if you want to live, you’ll get your ass in the fucking car and drive.” He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. His father looked at him, hands in the air surrendering to his drug dealer, Ricky.

“Mark my words Jessie, Your dead. You may have friends in high places son, but so do I” his father threatened before roughly grabbing his sister forcing her in the car followed by his brother.

Ricky waited until the car pulled away before putting his gun away and making his way over to Jessie “Hey Man...you alright. What the hells wrong with you?” he asked confused “The Jessie I know would have had his ass.” he teased a bit. He’d wondered for a moment why he was their, but then remembered, the whole damn community, including low lives like Ricky showed up to this thing. He just happened to show up at the right time. Jessie glanced around, seeing if Kat was still there.

Kitty could sense something was wrong with him by the way he hesitated. He glanced around nervously and pulled her from the barn. If there was something she knew well, it was paranoia, and she could see it in Jessie. The way he couldn't choose where to take her before finally tugging her right, to the main road before he finally seemed to calm down a bit and they walked in silence.

Headlights ahead blinded her, and she raised her arm as if to block out the white light that filled her vision, rendering her unable to see Jessie. But she could still feel him, and she could feel in the way he grabbed hold of her arm and shoved her behind him that something was horribly wrong. He was tense, and trying to protect her, but from what, she couldn't tell, and that scared her. “This is...wrong.” he breathed, and she sensed horror and fear in his voice.

It was so bizarre, Kitty chuckled nervously under her breath. She'd never heard him sound like that. She didn't know what to do with it. How to process it. What was so wrong? A car had stopped in front of them, so what? Maybe they needed directions?

“Dad! No! Just leave him alone!” Kitty heard a girl screaming, and suddenly her body turned to lead, knowing who it was that had stopped in front of them without having ever even heard the voice before from the simple word dad. It was Jessie's father. The man who'd fucked him up and made him the way he was. It was because of something his father had said to him that she was covered in bruises. She knew he was afraid of him.

Suddenly, he turned to her, fear all over his face. “Please, just this once listen to me.” He begged her, but as he said it, she shook her head frantically. There was no way she was leaving him with that man. She'd known a thousand just like him. She knew what they did to you. And she knew that the man would no doubt kill him and he wouldn't fight. He couldn't. She knew that because if she ever saw her father again, she'd never be able to fight him. She'd be frightened and submissive. “Run and don’t look back.” he said kissing her, before pushing her, trying to make her go back to the barn.

Instead, she stood off to the side, in the shadows. She knew if his father saw her, he'd try to hurt her to get to Jessie, so she stayed hidden, but still there. She wouldn't leave Jessie alone, and if he needed her, she'd help him as much as she could.

“Jessie.” his father’s voice boomed, so much like her own father's, that she had to slap her hand over her mouth to keep from crying out.

She watched him beat Jessie, and held her hand tightly to her mouth, dropping to her knees helplessly as if he was hitting her. She couldn't breathe. She was on her hands and knees, trying hard to catch her breath, eyes to the ground in front of her, not wanting to watch. Not wanting to see him hurt Jessie. Not wanting the flashbacks that gripped her and made her throat constrict.

Tears hit the dirt, but she remained quiet, not wanting to give herself away.

A gun clicked, and she looked up suddenly, fear striking her so fast and hard it was as though something had physically crushed her lungs. Now was her cue. If His father was holding a gun to him, she would have to run in and push his hand in the air, causing him to misfire.

But it wasn't his father with the gun. “Let him go.” The holder of the gun said, and Kitty squinted, seeing it was Ricky. Her heart raced and she watched as Jessie's father threatened him before jumping in the car and taking off.

She couldn't move for a second, as she forced her heart beat to slow, but as soon as she regained control, she ran out to him and threw her arms around him, kissing him deeply. "Oh God." She breathed miserably before looking at Ricky. "I never liked you." She said matter-of-factly. "But you just earned yourself some major points."

With that, she grabbed Jessie's hand and tugged them back towards the barn. "Come on." She whispered. "Leaving was a bad idea." She knew there was more trouble waiting for them back at the party, she could feel it, but at the moment, a huge fight with Jessie, someone kicking someone's ass, anything would be better then what had just happened.

Damien felt her freeze up in his arms, and mentally cursed himself. She was afraid. She was afraid and now all she wanted was to get away from him. He could tell in the way her muscles tensed and her heartbeat quickened. He sighed deeply.

She pulled back from him, looking up at him and his heart twisted when he saw the tears in her eyes and realized they weren't from happiness. “You don’t,” she said as though correcting him. “You...you can’t.” His eyes filled with pain as she begged him to not love her. Like she wanted him to take it back. He understood why she was afraid. But that didn't mean her words hurt any less.

The song ended, and he followed her eyes to Dustin, making his way over, looking determined, and Damien was willing to bet he wasn't just coming to pick his date up. Jamie was following him closely, and he looked at her, then at Dustin. The two of them always showed up together. It was like they knew more then they let on and were always coordinating when they wanted to butt in.

Dustin was between them in a second, protection and anger written all over his face, and Damien rolled his eyes, ready to tell the guy it was all okay and get on with his night when he turned to him, fists and jaw clenched with anger.

“Stay the fuck away from her Fox.” He said, not realizing his mistake. It had been the wrong thing to say, and his own fists started to clench and unclench over and over, wanting to hurt him, but not wanting to hurt NIki anymore. He knew she felt nothing for him, but he was still her friend.

“Both of you knock it off.” Jamie said sweetly, placing a hand on him that he shrugged off angrily. “I’m sure Niki is just being over dramatic, like always.” She said, flashing Niki a smile “Right Nik?” That did it.

Niki agreed with Jamie, and he could tell she was trying to avoid a fight. She hated Jamie. He was about to let it go when Dustin spoke up again.

"That's bull shit and you know it Nikota. What he do to you?" That did it. His jaw tightened and he grabbed Dustin by the shoulder, whirling him around to face him so quickly, he had no time to react.

In an instant, Damien's fist had collided with Dustin's face, knocking him flat on his back. "I'd never do anything to her kid." He growled down at him, anger and hatred all over his face, satisfaction running through him as he saw the red blood trickling from Dustin's nose. Hoepfully he'd broken it.

"Let's just, stay out here for a bit." He breathed as he reached the barn and leaned up against the wall, looking awful. Kitty sighed and nodded her agreement, afraid of what might happen if they went back into the party. She leaned against the wall next to him and watched him, examining his face.

"Jessie I-" She started, wanting to tell him she as sorry. To make him feel better and comfort him. However, she never got to finish before she was cut off.

"There you are Jay." Olive slurred her words, stumbling up to them, swinging an empty bottle of something around. Kitty's fists clenched at the sight of her. At the very sound of her voice. She was always showing up at the worst possible times. "Look babe," she started, about to tell her off and make her leave when she started talking, cutting her off again.

"What do you say we go round two?" That made Kitty hesitate, and she looked to Jessie, confused for a second, as though she would find answers there.

"This night just keeps getting better, fuck off!" He spat at Olive, but it had already clicked.

"There was a round one?" She hissed, glaring at Jessie. She knew what kind of torment he'd just been through, but she couldn't help it. She was hurt. He'd had sex with Olive! And he'd tried to hide it from her!

"Mmmmmhhhmmm." Olive answered her, looking at Kitty as though she'd won something. "Just this morning. Oh, and afternoon. I win, bitch." She smirked, as though it was a competition and Jessie was the trophy.

She bit her lip and looked at Jessie, as though he'd deny it and Olive would too, and they'd laugh and go back to being happy, but she could tell that what Olive was saying was true. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she bit them back and glared at Jessie. "Fuck you!" She shrieked, turning to Olive. "Well congratulations honey." She said with false sweetness, but Olive smiled, the sarcasm completely missed on her. "Enjoy your fucking prize!"

She turned to Jessie and glared at him. "I hope you two are happy. Good luck carrying on a conversation." She hissed before whirling around and heading in the barn, anger flaring up inside of her, suddenly needing revenge. Needing to hurt him. Deep down, she knew she was wrong. Jessie had suffered enough all ready for one night, but she simply swallowed the thought and pushed through the crowd until she spotted him.

Marc. With all his football buddies.

Kitty grinned wickedly and marched right up to him. "Finally change your mind Kitten?" He said, calling her by Jessie's nickname for her again, even though she'd told him not to.

This time, she didn't correct him, just grabbed his face and kissed him hard while all his friends whooped and hollared.

She grinned mischievously and winked at him, taking his hand and leading him out behind the barn where they were alone. "Maybe we'll actually get to finish before your boyfriend interrupts us this time." He smirked as he backed her up against the back of the barn and started to kiss her neck.

"He's not my boyfriend." She whispered, yanking his shirt off.

Damien watched as Jamie leapt forward to help Dustin, looking up at him as if he were a monster, and his blood practically boiled. He was ready to strangle her too. She'd been on his nerves ever since he announcement of the baby. Maybe even before that, who knew?

He hadn't even realized he was about to tell her he was leaving her when Niki stepped forwards. "I wouldn't do that Nikota." Jamie threatened "he's liable to punch you too."

The fact that she though she knew him so well made him angry. Who was she to guess his actions. He'd known her for less then three years, and had been married to her for just one. Niki had known him since she was four. Twelve years. He'd never hit Niki. He just wasn't that kind of guy.

"Jamie, shut up and fuck off." She said, and Damien couldn't help but grin, registering the pain in Jamie's eyes at his agreement with nothing but a laugh.

Niki grabbed him roughly and dragged him through the barn for the second time that night until suddenly, they were out in the fresh air, but she kept pulling him, putting distance between them and the barn. When they stopped, he just looked at her, breathing deeply, trying to regain control.

"I didn't mean I didn't love...because I do." She stated, and that statement alone allowed him to breathe a little easier. "If you want to take your anger out on someone, take it out on me." She challenged him and he turned away, refusing to give into his anger, allowing himself to calm down a second before looking at her.

"I could never take out my anger on you Nik." He said honestly, pulling her roughly to him and kissing her hard on the lips. It was a rough kiss, but filled with passion and desperation. Like he wanted her so bad it hurt.

Then he released her and sighed, looking at her. "Oh God Nik, what are we going to do?" He asked with a groan. "I can't even go one night without knocking your boyfriend's lights out."

"I could never take out my anger on you Nik." she rolled her eyes as he grabbed her pulling her into a rough kiss and as much as she wanted to pull away, to lecture him more she could bring herself to pull away from his kiss, she kissed back, hating herself for enjoying it.

"Oh God Nik, what are we going to do?" He said pulling away "I can't even go one night without knocking your boyfriend's lights out." She stepped back, smirking at the thought of Dustin whimpering.

“First of all, he’s not my boyfriend, call him that again and you’ll be the next one getting you lights knocked out.” she was being serious “Second of all, that was probably the sexiest thing I’ve seen in a while.” She said playfully before becoming more serious.

She let out a soft sigh as she lend against the wooden fence line. Stepping out of her heels, shrinking five inches, it was quite between them for a moment. It was weird, being with him made her think before speaking, something she had never been able to accomplish until she started this whole secret affair with him, if a couple make out sessions counted as a secret affair.

“You know that funny thing is.” She breathed glancing up at him “I usually have that answers to everything or at least I can pretend to have the answers.” She admitted with a small smile. She stepped closer to him “Damien, I don’t want you to think you have to be with me, because I’m you don’t want me to kill myself.” She signed “If you love Jamie. Then please don’t give her up. If I’m just some fling you’re going to get tired of save me the trouble and walk away now.” There was no hint of sadness in her voice, she just wanted him to be honest with himself.

“But, if what you said in there was true.” She hesitated “If you…really do love me.” She paused looking into his eyes. “Then will find a way to work it out.” She said with a genuine smile. For once no she wasn’t playing games, she wasn’t trying to avoid the inevitable. “Think about it, don’t just give me an answer now.” She said softly “I want to show you something.” She said taking his hand and interlocking her fingers with his.

She kept quiet, knowing he was more than a little confused when they went into the house. The music from the party, fading to almost nothing as she shut the front door behind them letting go of his hand and grabbing a set of keys from the key holder. Before motioning him to follow her. She stopped in front of a black door, it was a door everyone knew well. It had always been off limits and remained locked. The only time it had ever been used was when Mrs. D’ Angelo, Niki’s mother was still alive, but even then only Mrs. D’ Angelo and Niki had been allowed down there, Mr. D’ Angelo himself was even forbidden from the room upon Mrs. D’ Angelo’s request. Though after Niki’s mother had died, Niki been the only one to go down there. It wasn’t often and nobody ever asked what was down there.

Niki unlocked the door looking back at Damien giving him a smile as if letting him know it was okay. The door led straight into a staircase, Niki offered her hand to Damien waiting for him to take it before continuing down the stairs. When they reached the bottom of the stairs the room was surprisingly large, there was a large black piano to the right of them and to the left a whole recording studio. Niki made her way to the piano taking a set as she looked over the keys. She glanced up at him pat the spot next to her on the Piano’s bench.

“I don’t do this…like ever.” She started in a playfully threatening voice. “So just…don’t say anything until I’m finished.” She said placing her hands on the keys.

Thing about the D’ Angelo family is that even when you thought you knew them, they surprised you. They had so many secrets, they might as well be a mafia family, though Niki didn’t doubt her father had been involved at one point he just seemed like the type. That’s why Missy and Kat had fit in so well when her father had married Missy cause they had just as many secrets. This secret just happened to be one that Niki had hid her entire life even from Kat and Damien. It wasn’t that she was ashamed or embarrassed. This was just something that was intimate. Just like Kat and her studio, Niki had the recording studio.

She looked at the keys as if deciding what to play. Then slowly her fingers began to float across the keys the song wasn’t noticeable a first, then the familiar beat of popular Beyoncé song began and she took a deep breath in as she started to sing.

“Remember those walls I built? Well, baby they're tumbling down, And they didn't even put up a fight They didn't even make a sound I found a way to let you in, But, I never really had a doubt, Standing in the light of your halo, I got my angel now.” Her voice was pure and full of emotion, it was incredible. She could actually sing, she hit all of the notes perfectly.

“It's like I've been awakened, Every rule I had you breakin', It's the risk that I'm taking.” She glanced to him with a smile as if singing that part straight to him.

"I hope you two are happy. Good luck carrying on a conversation." Jessie let out a breath irritated with the whole situation.
“Kat!” he yelled after her “Damn it!” he cursed, letting out a small pained noise.
“So Jessie what do you say?” Olive pushed him.
Jessie’s body started to tremble with rage, his fists clenching. He needed a hit of something, he knew exactly who her rebound was going to be and he wasn’t about to let it happen. The Jessie was very one sided when it came to him and Kat. He could cheat and she was supposed to be okay with that, but if she cheated he lost it, he could bear the thought of some other guys hands all over her.

“Ricky, you got something on you?” he asked coughing lightly in pain. “Something the will make me invincible.” He smirked wickedly.

“That’s the Jessie I know.” Ricky smirked as he pulled a bag out from his pocket “Here, this will have you up and going in seconds.” He said handing him a small white pill.

“Give me another on.” Jessie ordered “I’m going to need more than that.” He said

Ricky gave him a slightly worried look “Jay, one is enough, two might kill you.”

“Do I look like I care.” Jessie said darkly as two of the pills were placed in his hand.

Popped them in his mouth swallowing them dry. He breath heavily still in pain, he wasn’t sure what Ricky had given him, but as long as he made sure Marc didn’t touch Kat, he’d be fine. Even if he died at this point he didn’t care, in fact he was welcoming death. He could feel his skin start to crawl as if there were bugs just underneath his flesh. His body was hat and his mouth dry, his pain seemed to fade to nothing and his anger was growing. Jessie wasn’t sure if he’d ever truly been this fucked up on drugs, all he knew was Marc was going to wish he’d never touched Kat. He looked up to Ricky, his eyes almost appearing completely black, his smile was dark and sent chills through Ricky’s body.

“Jay maybe I should get you out...” he started But Jessie was already making his way into the barn.

There was a fire in his eyes and everyone could apparently see it as they stepped out of his way. They must have gotten a bad vibe off Jessie. Jessie glanced around looking for her before making a B line to the back of the barn until he was outside. He stepped outside, his senses were heightened, he could hear every little thing, feel everything. His head whipped to the side hearing whispers. He glanced to Ricky.
“Give me the gun.” He ordered in a low voice.

“Jessie that’s not a…” Ricky’s body slammed into the barn, there was terror in his eyes, which made Jessie smirk.

“Give…Me…the gun.” He whispered. Ricky’s hands were shaky as he handed Jessie the gun.

Jessie continued determined before spotting the two of them, Marc’s shirt off, as his hands danced all over Kat’s body freely getting ready to pull her dress off. Jessie anger boiled over, Ricky following close behind Jessie trying to calm him down, but Jessie was clearly not Jessie. Jessie placed his hand on Marc’s shoulder before pulling him off Kat and throwing him into the wall of the barn at a deadly force. Much like his father had, he sent his fist straight into the diaphragm, doubling him over. Then again and another time. The boy begged him to stop, trying to hold himself up. Jessie grabbed to boy by the back of his neck, pulling him until they were standing in front of Kat.

“Look at her.” Jessie growled “she’s belongs to me.” He said darkly “Your fucking with the wrong girl, I could kill you right now, hid your body no one would ever find you.” He threatened, flashing the gun.

Kitty grinned as Marc's hands roamed her body and his fingers grabbed the zipper on her dress, tugging it down slowly.

Suddenly, he was ripped off of her violently and Kitty looked up to see Jessie there. Except he didn't look like Jessie. He looked dangerous and she smirked lightly at him. Marc hit the side of the barn with startling force and immediately, Jessie sprung at him, slamming his fist into him over and over again.

Kitty's eyes widened in both anger and horror as she quickly rezipped her dress, ready to spring at Jessie and make him stop when he did, whirling a beaten Marc around to face her, an angry, threatening glare on his face. “Look at her.” Jessie growled. “She belongs to me.” That made her anger flare up and cover her fear. She knew he was dangerous, but she didn't care, she was too angry. She was about to shout at him when he spoke up again. “You're fucking with the wrong girl, I could kill you right now, hide your body no one would ever find you.”

Jessie flashed a gun, and she stood suddenly, rolling her eyes. "Oh shut the fuck up and put the gun away Jessie!" She shouted, pushing him harshly, causing him to let go of Marc who made a run for it instantly. She smirked, stepping mere inches from him, showing him she wasn't afraid of him. Even with a gun in his hand. "What?" She growled, voice dangerously low. "So you can fuck whoever you want, but I can only fuck you?!" She spat, her voice rising with intensity and volume as she spoke. "I don't belong to anyone Jessie. I'm not your pet."

She shoved him again and ran her fingers through her hair roughly, angry pulling out the curls that Niki had worked so hard on when they were getting ready. "You're impossible!" She shouted, stepping close to him and yanking the gun from his hand before stepping away. "Did you really think you were going to shoot someone Jessie?!" She shouted, holding the gun tightly, angrily. Where had he even gotten it anyway? She wondered before spotting Ricky in the shadows.

"Get the fuck out of here asshole!" She shouted at him, not afraid of him before returning her eyes to Jessie.

Damien watched as she stepped out of her shoes and looked at him, silence hanging between them for a moment, though not awkwardly or uncomfortably, just quiet.

“You know that funny thing is.” She said, and his eyes caught hers. “I usually have that answers to everything or at least I can pretend to have the answers.” She admitted, and he knew it was true. He knew she was emotionally unstable sometimes but that didn't mean everyone else did. To everyone else, she seemed to have the world wrapped around her finger. “Damien, I don’t want you to think you have to be with me, because I’m you don’t want me to kill myself.” She signed. “If you love Jamie. Then please don’t give her up. If I’m just some fling you’re going to get tired of save me the trouble and walk away now.” He shook his head, wanting to correct her when she continued.

“But, if what you said in there was true.” She hesitated “If you…really do love me.” She paused and he held her gaze. “Then will find a way to work it out.” She said with a smile that felt real. He was about to step up to her and pull her close, to reassure her that he really had meant what he said, but she spoke again, making him stop. “Think about it, don’t just give me an answer now.” She said softly, and he sighed, running his fingers through his hair. “I want to show you something.” She said taking his hand and interlocking her fingers with his.

For a second he just looked at her fingers before she lead him into the house, to a door he'd seen before but never been behind. She gently lead him downstairs to a room with a piano, which she sat on and tapped the spot next to her.

He smiled, knowing shed never brought anyone down there with her and took the seat, watching her as she played, and smiling at her voice when she sang. It was crystal clear and perfect.

When she was done, he pulled her close and kissed her deeply, one hand on her cheek, the other around her waist.

Once she’d finished playing the song, she took a breath. She hadn’t played in over a year, she’d had no reason to want to, but for some reason Damien made her want to. She was convinced he was her new Muse. For so long her muse had been her mother’s death and the horses. Then there was nothing…now there was him.

She couldn’t help but smile when he pulled her close kissing her deeply. She smiled against his lips. She kissed him back just as deeply, it was incredible the way she felt in his arms. Their situation may not exactly be Disney, but she was never really one for clique romances. She loved what they had right now, even if it didn’t last forever.

She pulled away from, interlocking her fingers behind his neck, her forehead rested against his as she looked into his brown eyes that seemed to hold meaning to them, it was different from the way he looked at Jamie and it made her skip a beat and she felt butterflies in her stomach.

“Ti amo dj, ho sempre e amerò sempre.” I love you Dj, I always have and I always will. She whisper

She placed her lips to his once again, although this time it was softer. There was no desperation in it, there was no need to be desperate this time. She had him, alone for the first time. No one would dare venture into the room that was off limits, so they were safe, from her father, from Dustin, and from Jamie.

"So you can fuck whoever you want, but I can only fuck you?!" he heard Kitty yell as he watched Marc run off. "I don't belong to anyone Jessie. I'm not your pet." He turned his head slowly his eyes looking over her, he rubbed his jawline frustrated.
"Did you really think you were going to shoot someone Jessie?! he felt her take the gun and this mad him angry. Her grabbed her wrist harshly, hard enough to make her loosen her grip on the gun, feeling better when he had it.

He glared at her, taking a breath, before smirking. He quickly spun her around grabbing both her arms and crossing them in front of her, her back to his chest as he held her tightly.

“You will always be mine Kitten.” He whispered darkly “You signed your death certificate the day you meet me.” His words were toxic, as if he was the Grim Reaper himself. “You’ll always come back to me and I’ll always come back to you. It’s what we do…who we are.” He said kissing down her neck as he held her against him tightly.

After along moment of heavy tensions he released her, pushing her away from him with a wickedly dangerous smirk. “You may not be scared of me Kitten, but you scared of what I can do, what I will do.” His eyes were dark and his tone was threatening, he glanced to Ricky who stood by watching the whole thing even after Kat had screamed at him to leave.

“Come on Ricky, let’s get out of here.” He ordered, he was back to old Jessie, the Jessie that had bought him back to the ranch in the first place and he was without a doubt going to get himself in trouble. “You got a car?” he asked as he started walking back in the direction they’d come satisfied he’d stop Marc. He tucked the gun away and Ricky nodded “Good, cause I got some unfinished business.” There was determination in his voice, his tone had quickly changed to a bloodthirsty, murderous tone.

“Don’t wait up Kat” he called over his shoulder “See you at my funeral.” He joked, though half meant it. He stopped her from leaving the first time in the field, yesterday, but he was to strung out tonight for her to be able to stop him again.

Kitty rolled her eyes when he grabbed her wrist and forced her to let go of the gun so he could have it again. He smirked and spun her, pinning her to him so that her back was against him and his arms wrapped around her, holding her there tightly.

She jerked, trying to get out of his grip, but it was no use. He was too strong and she was too small. “You will always be mine Kitten.” He whispered darkly, and she shivered, fear running through her. This was not Jessie. He was on drugs. On the outside there were no physical signs, but she could tell by the way he was talking to and treating her. “You signed your death certificate the day you meet me.” His voice frightened her, though she refused to show it. There was no telling what he'd do when he was on drugs. “You’ll always come back to me and I’ll always come back to you. It’s what we do…who we are.”

The truth of his words struck her, and she hated him for being right. She also hated herself for liking it when his lips touched her neck, swallowing the urge to stretch her neck and lean into him until finally, he released her and she pulled quickly away from him.

“You may not be scared of me Kitten, but you're scared of what I can do, what I will do.” Again, he was right, and that made her angry. He was standing there, dark glare in his eyes. Like he was actually threatening her. Her! Of all people!

“Come on Ricky, let’s get out of here.” He ordered his dealer. Kitty glared at the man, pissed that he hadn't left. “You got a car?” He asked as he tucked away the gun, and Kitty watched. “Good, cause I got some unfinished business.” Silently, Kitty wondered what that meant. His father? Marc? Something else?

“Don’t wait up Kat.” He called over his shoulder to her. "See you at my funeral.”

She shook her head. "You think beating up Marc is going to keep me from hooking up with someone?" She smirked and glared at him.

Kitty rolled her eyes and ran up to him, grabbing his shoulder and whirling him around to face her. "What the hell are you going to do?!" She shouted, angry with him for ruining their night. "Answer me!" She demanded, gripping his shirt tightly. It was crazy that, as angry as she was at him, she was still worried for his safety. She didn't want him hurt. If he was running back to Olive, she'd just go back in the barn and pick another guy, but if he was going to go get himself in a lot of trouble, she was determined to stop him.

"Ricky!" She screamed. "If you take him anywhere so help me, I will kick your fucking ass!" She looked back at Jessie, crossing her arms, stepping between him and the way back.

"Answer." She barked, eyes deadly serious.

Damien smiled when she kissed him back, deepening the kiss before pulling away and pressing her forehead against his.He looked at her like she was his life and she smiled. “Ti amo dj, ho sempre e amerò sempre.” She whispered before kissing him again.

He smiled into the kiss. It was soft, gentle. He kissed her back, wrapping his arms tightly around her, wanting to hold her forever. He pulled back, placing a kiss on her cheek, then her jaw, then her neck. "I love you too Niki." He whispered between kisses, kissing gently along her neck.

One hand rested on her thigh, the other was in her hair, gently holding the strands between his fingers. "You mean so much to me." He whispered, pulling back to look her in the eyes before glancing away.

"I don't want to hurt you..." He started, before looking back at her and pulling her into his lap, placing a hand on her neck, thumb gently rubbing her cheek as he smiled. "But there's no way I'm giving this up."

He leaned in and kissed her deeply again.

Niki’s breath was shallow as he kissed her neck, the spot tingling, making her tremble at his touch. She hated the fact that he made her weak in the knees, but at the same time she wouldn’t change it for anything.

"I love you too Niki." her heart fluttered as he whispered to her between kisses. "I don't want to hurt you..." he started which caused her to hesitate looking in to his until he pulled her into his lap and she surrendered willingly "But there's no way I'm giving this up." he said causing her to smile against his lips as he kissed her again.

Her hand rested on his cheek as she kissed back, turning her head to the side. She maneuvered herself slowly until she was straddling him, before she seductively kissed along his jawline, slow letting each one linger just enough to make him want more. She continued down his neck in the same slow motion, kissing along his collar bone. Her fingers unbutton his shirt with ease. It was clear she knew what she was doing. She pulled away with a playfully smirk.

“Daddy won’t approve of this.” She fake pouted with a wink.

"You think beating up Marc is going to keep me from hooking up with someone?" he rolled his eyes, she stepped in front of him, demanding an answer of what he was going to do.

He grabbed her bicep tight enough to leave a bruise. Jessie never did quite realize how strong or rough he was and the way he’d grabbed her was dangerous as if he was going to toss her aside, but he pulled her in close.

“Kat believe me, I’d love to fuck up your little boyfriend.” He smirked his voice a low whisper. “But, you see I have bigger more grown up issues to deal with.” He said glancing up at Ricky “You may know me better than anyone in this world…but there are something’s you don’t know.” He said harshly. “Besides” that oh so familiar cocky smile light his face “I don’t think Marc or anyone else who sees what I did to him, will have anything else to do with you.” He released her walking past her.

The thing with Jessie was he was strong enough and feared enough in the gang world that he could very well start his own gang and they would more than likely be unstoppable. That’s why Ricky had folded so easily, he hadn’t tried fighting back, he’d just given in. Jessie was unpredictable in the worst way possible and that’s what made him so valuable to his gang, which also made him the main target of rival gangs.

“Jessie we can’t seriously do this alone.” Ricky whispered and Jessie shot a deadly shut the fuck up look. Jessie knew they were still near enough Kat would be able to hear what they were discussing.

Jessie grabbed her arm roughly, making her wince as he pulled her close, knowing even as he held her that he was adding to her collection of bruises. “Kat believe me, I’d love to fuck up your little boyfriend.” He whispered, and she rolled her eyes. “But, you see I have bigger more grown up issues to deal with.” He said, glancing away from her to his dealer. “You may know me better than anyone in this world…but there are some things you don’t know.” He said harshly and she winced again, as though he'd hit her. She hated that he kept things from her. “Besides,” he said, his lips grinning cockily, making her anger rise. “I don’t think Marc or anyone else who sees what I did to him, will have anything else to do with you.”

Kitty rolled her eyes and smirked back at him. "You underestimate me Jessie." She whispered with a light laugh, knowing she could get any guy she wanted. It was nothing but a card game, and girls like her and Niki always held the winning hand.

He released her and walked quickly past her, returning his attention to Ricky. "Jessie we can’t seriously do this alone.” Ricky protested, loud enough for Kitty to hear.

"Ugh." She groaned. She didn't want to have to go after him. To be honest, she was afraid of him. Of what he might do. Though she'd never admit that. However, she was also afraid of what he'd do to himself. What kind of trouble he'd get himself into. Andf she was still angry with him.

So she sighed and ran after him. "Jessie!" She shouted, glaring at him as she stopped and looked at the ground, not believing what she was about to say. "If you leave tonight..." She started, taking a shaky breath, knowing he'd do it, and knowing she wouldn't be able to go through with what she was about to say. That she'd go back to him again the instant he said something sweet to her. But it was worth a try. It was the last thing she had, and if it didn't work, she'd be forced to give up. "If you leave tonight, I'll never talk to you again." She hissed threateningly. "You can consider us over."

Damien covered her hand on his cheek with his own, feeling the warmth coursing through him from just the simplest touch. It was absolutely incredible. Nothing like he'd ever felt with Jamie.

She kissed him slowly, but passionately, her lips moving from his to his jaw, down his neck expertly. It was unsettling to him to think that she was so young, but so good at what she was doing, but that was the last thought on his mind at the moment as her fingers slowly unbuttoned his shirt.

He grinned and his hand rubbed her thigh gently, barely touching it, tickling her skin as it moved up and down slowly.

“Daddy won’t approve of this.” She said with a small pout, causing him to pull away suddenly, holding her at arms length.

Shew as right. Her father would murder him. And he respected her father. Loved him like hew as his own father. "Am I betraying him?" He asked, eyes suddenly filled with worry as he looked at her. He loved her, he really did, but her father had given him a home when he'd had none.

He'd taken him in and changed his life. Shown him what it felt like to be loved. To have a family that cared about you. To work for what you got. And now, here he was, pursuing his underaged daughter.

"Am I betraying him?" she could tell by his words he was questioning what they were about to do, her eyes meet his, he was worried.

She simply shrugged “I don’t know D…” she said softly “Are you?” she said casually unbuttoning the last button on his shirt. “Of course, your cheating on your wifey to.” She smirked at the thought of having something over Jamie for once.

She kissed his lips, then lend back a bit still straddling him. She felt guilty, she knew what she was doing, playing head games with him. She smiled stepping to the side and standing up in front of him, straightening out her dress.

“Guess we better get back before anyone get suspicious.” She sighed “I don’t want to make you choose.” She said honestly. She made her way towards the stairs, pausing at the bottom “Might want to straighten yourself out babe.” She winked before disappearing up the stairs.

She nearly froze right before reaching the top of the staircase, Dustin stood leaned in the doorway. There was a smug look on his face, though he looked quite ridiculous with his swollen nose. Her breathing deepened growing nerves. Had he heard everything? “Shit” she breathed slightly panicked hoping Damien wouldn’t come walking up behind her.

“Dustin…what are you doing” she made sure to say his name loud enough as a warning to Damien.

“Well, you ran off after Damien, when I was the one who’d been punched in the face.” He said rising his voice.

Niki rolled her eyes, Dustin could get angry, but he was mostly talk. “Well Dusty, you looked pretty cozy with Jamie, what is it with you two anyways.” She said with an attitude. “Always showing up at the right time together, always sticking up for each other.” She said continuing up the stairs until she was standing in front of Dustin, who now more than ever smelt of whisky and cigarettes.

“Whos down there with you…Kota?” he taunted stepping towards her. Causing her to step back, though there was really nowhere for her to go, her anger rising.

“I told you not to call me that.” She threated shoving him.

She let out a small yelp not in pain but in shock as he grabbed her arms and forced her against the wall just outside the door, he closed it in an attempt to keep whoever was down there from hearing. He pinned her against the wall, she struggled trying to get away, but he was surprisingly stronger than she thought.

“I’ll call you what I want.” He whispered darkly “I know your hiding something Niki and secrets are never a good thing to keep from people like us.” He smirked “Damien doesn’t walk on water, neither do you. So I advise you stop acting so much better than me, because the truth is, your broken.” Niki’s stomach turned and she fought back tears “You’ll be mine again. I can promise you that.” He said loosening his grip. “Because, I’m the only one who knows how psychotic you are, you think anyone’s going to stick around long when they find out, you should be locked up in a mental institution.” He said harshly “No one wants a freak Niki.” He said kissing her roughly.

She pushed him away as best she could, but she could feel herself on the verge of breaking down, but she didn't want to cry in front of him she couldn't.

"Fuck you." she spat, leaning against the wall for support.

"If you leave tonight..." he stopped in his tracks and Ricky looked at him slightly confused. Jessie knew she was going to threaten him with something, he just wasn’t sure what and he was curious to know what she was going to say to try and make him stay. "If you leave tonight, I'll never talk to you again." he rolled his eyes already knowing that was a lie.

"You can consider us over." this made him wince even on drugs, that fact that she’d admitted that they were together.
He stood there for a moment, debating on what to do, whether or not to leave. He glanced to Ricky calmer than before “Get the car and bring in around I’ll be out there in a second.” He ordered, his dealer nodded before disappearing around the corner. Jessie waited for a moment to make sure he was really gone, before he spoke.

“I’m still leaving.” He said plainly “I have to take care of this Kat.” He said explain to her, though giving her very little information. “I’m fucked up right now.” He admitted “I don’t know what Ricky gave me and all I know is it’s making me crazy. Your making me crazy.” He breathed

He crossed his arms in front of her trying his hardest to clear his thoughts, to calm his reckless body and unclench his fists, but the drugs were still in control of his body.

“I’m going to be honest with you. Yeah I slept with Olive, because this morning I went out and got the drugs I promised you I wouldn’t take, I took them anyways.” He admitted angry at himself. “I’m a fucking idiot I get that and you have every right to hate me.” He said taking a deep breath his body shook from the drugs.

He knew deep down he’d taken too much, he knew now he should have listened to Ricky and only taken one. He wasn’t sure he’d wake up in the morning, he wasn’t even sure if he’d make it through the night.

“I gotta go.” He finally said, knowing he’d said too much, afraid that if he stayed any longer he’d hurt her more than he already had.

“Get the car and bring in around I’ll be out there in a second.” He said and Ricky ran off to follow his order as he tuned to face her, arms crossed in front of him.

“I’m still leaving.” He said, making her heart twist in her chest. “I have to take care of this Kat.” He continued, trying to explain, though making her look away. She hated that he couldn't tell her what it was he was going to do. “I’m fucked up right now.” He admitted as though she couldn't already tell. “I don’t know what Ricky gave me and all I know is it’s making me crazy. Your making me crazy.”

She looked at the sky, biting her lip, fighting back tears of frustration. I wouldn't make you crazy if you wouldn't take the drugs. She thought bitterly to herself, though not bothering to voice it, knowing it wouldn't do any good. She was feeling it come over her again. That feeling of hopelessness she always felt when she fought with him that always made her the one to give in and forgive him.

“I’m going to be honest with you," he said, making her look up. He was rarely flat out honest with her. "Yeah I slept with Olive, because this morning I went out and got the drugs I promised you I wouldn’t take, I took them anyways.” She bit her lip. That brought a whole new wave of anger down on her, as well as hurt. “I’m a fucking idiot I get that and you have every right to hate me.” He said, as she looked at her hands. As angry as she was, she could never hate him.

“I gotta go.” He said, and she looked up at him, taking a deep breath.

She swallowed her anger and stepped close to him, grabbing his hand.

"No you don't." She whispered, placing her hands gently on his shoulders and stepping so close, she could feel his heartbeat, unusually heightened by the drugs. "You can stay here, and I'll forgive you." Her voice was a gentle whisper. "Or you can leave and I'll just stay mad at you."

She looked up at him, hating putting herself at a disadvantage and making herself vulnerable for him to hurt because she knew he'd do it. He'd leave because that was Jessie. He was on drugs, so he was bound to hurt her and then take advantage of her weakness for him by coming back to her later, knowing shed forgive him.

She simply shrugged, making him inhale deeply, knowing she wouldn't understand, but not blaming her because it wasn't really her fault. She'd always had a father. “I don’t know D…” She said softly, and he watched her closely. “Are you?” She said casually as she unbuttoned the last button on his shirt. “Of course, you're cheating on your wifey to.” She smirked, making him sigh deeply. He felt bad, and he knew it was awful, but Jamie didn't mean as much to him as Niki or her father did. As far as he was concerned at that point, Jamie and her baby were just complications.

She kissed his lips again and then leaned back before standing up ocompletely, straightening herself. “Guess we better get back before anyone get suspicious.” She sighed and he did too. He didn't want to go back, but she was right. If they spent so much time together, someone was bound to put two and two together. “I don’t want to make you choose.” She said honestly and he shook his head wanting to reassure her that she was wrong. That he'd made his choice the first time he'd kissed her, but she turned away from him and headed up the stairs.

He groaned and stood, glancing around for a moment before buttoning his shirt back up and starting to follow her up the stairs.

“Dustin…what are you doing?" He heard her say and cursed, ducking away from the stairs so Dustin wouldn't see him. He heard the way he spoke to her, and his fists clenched as he stood and listened, slightly off to the side.

Then he heard her yelp and the door slam shut suddenly and he sprinted up the stairs, listening against the door as he verbally abused her. He couldn't break through and stop him, in fear of giving them away, but he couldnt bear just standing there listening.

“No one wants a freak Niki.” He said, and that was enough for Damien.

He slipped through the door just as Niki had pushed him off her and stood between the two of them, resting one hand firmly on Dustin's shoulder, holding him there as the other pulled back, ready to punch him in the face for the second time that night. "You ready for round two Dustin?" He growled dangerously.
