Full Name
"It's some flower I think." Dahlia Alana Carmichael [ Dah-lee-yuh ]

Nickname
"I don't really care." Dahlia doesn't really care what you call her as long as it's not offensive. On occasion, she'll like a nickname, but most of the time, she's indifferent to them. A lot of people just call her by her name, Dahlia, which she hates, seeing as it's too girly, but there's nothing she can really do about it, and her middle name is too girly too, so she's stuck with it. People who know her, know she hates her name, so they'll call her Carmichael sometimes because getting on her good side is always a good idea. People also call her Dahl [ Doll ], Lee, D, or Lea [ lee-yuh ]. A nickname she's particularly fond of is Dahli [ Dolly ] but only a select few may call her this, and, even though he's not, her brother seems to think this includes him. As for pet names like baby or babe, she doesn't like them, but uses them often for others.

Age
"I can take care of myself." Seventeen years-old

Role
"Just trying to get away from my past, but somehow it follows me around." Girl one

Eye color
"Not sure. Gold?" Dahl has strange colored eyes. Typically a person has brown, blue, hazel, or green eyes with maybe a rare grey or lavender mixed in. While most would probably say Dahlia's eyes are a really light brown, this doesn't seem like quite the right way to describe them. They're a light, honey color. The color of melted gold. They shine brightly in the sun, and even seem to have little metallic flecks in them, making them look even more like gold. Her eyes may not be a bright, vibrant aqua or a unique and interesting violet, but they tend to catch people's attention a lot. A long the outsides of her iris's, is a ring of dark brown. Her eyes are a little large, and her gaze is dangerous for she's capable of capturing you with a simple bat of her eyelashes.

Hair Color
"How many times do I have to tell you fuckers it's not white?" Dahlia's hair is extremely light, bleach blond, and a lot of people think she bleaches her hair to get it this color, but she doesn't. It's completely natural, and almost white, for there is very little color to it at all. However, if you look, you'll see that, mixed with the bright white stands are darker, golden strands that make it blond. Often, when Dahlia is bored, she braids random strands of her hair, meaning that she's always got a few random braids mixed somewhere in her thick blond hair. Dahl's hair grows extremely fast, and as such, it's usually really long. Occasionally though, to keep it from getting too long, she'll cut it herself. The result is choppy, and is no longer than her breasts, but she doesn't really care, and it actually works on her, giving her a rough appearance. However, this doesn't last very long for, almost as soon as she'd cut it, her hair grows out long and thick again, making her look younger. Currently, her hair is pretty long, and since she doesn't cut it until it gets outrageous, it's still growing.

Skin Tone
"I was born in New York, not Florida." D's skin isn't super tan like a lot of the beach bums in Hawaii, but she doesn't really mind because if she wants to get tan, she can. Naturally, she's pretty pale, and this, with her weird eye-color and blond hair sometimes makes her look a little washed out or albino, but Dahl spends a lot of time in the sun. She's outside from sunrise to sunset almost every single day, meaning that her skin is resistant to burning, but she tans incredibly easily so, unless she's forced to stay inside for a while, no one would ever even know she's naturally pale as a ghost for she's almost as dark as the natives.

Height & Weight
"Look, just because I'm small doesn't mean I can't kick your ass." Dahlia is extremely small for her age. She's very thin and has a childlike face, meaning that people often mistake her for younger than she really is, and it irritates her because people tend to treat her like she's fragile, but she's really not. She's got a slim, slender build and is toned and tight like an athlete, however she's short and doesn't exactly have the biggest chest, so this can often make her appear petite. She stands at a height of 5'4 in and weighs a total of 105 lbs.

Distinct Markings
"What can I say? Once you get one, you just can't stop." When it comes to markings, Dahl has quite a few. She's a fighter, so she's got more than a few scars to prove this, and she's absolutely in love with tattoos and used to screw around with a tattoo artist, so she's always getting new ones.
Piercings
When it comes to piercings, Dahl has her nose pierced and keeps a small silver ring in it. Typically, she's good at hiding her feelings, but if she's extremely agitated, Dahli will often mess with it as a nervous tick. She also has her left ear pierced all the way up, from the lobe to the helix. In her right ear she had three lobe piercings, but that's all. She also has her naval pierced as well as her tongue.
Scars
As a fighter, Dahlia has many scars. Ever since she was little, she was picked at and looked down on, so she's had to show that she was tougher than they thought by fighting them off. Dahl's most noticeable scar sits right on her face. She has a spliced eyebrow, meaning that, right where her left eyebrow arches, a scar runs through it, cutting it off. The scar goes down to the crease in her eyelid and stops. It's not extremely ugly, but most girls would be ashamed and try to cover it up with their hair or something, however, D likes it. It gives her personality, as well as helps take away a bit of her childish look, letting people know to fear her. She also has two identical scars that run along her palms, from grabbing a knife by the blade. She has a bullet scar on the back of her left shoulder, and another on her upper right arm. Finally, she has a scar on her collarbone, and various needle markings on her wrists from drugs.
Tattoos
When it comes to tattoos, Dahl has a whopping total of eight. Her biggest tattoo is on the back of her right shoulder, and is of a bird flying from it's cage. She got this just after her emancipation. Her second largest tattoo is on her left ribs, and is a picture of two wolves. Her third largest tattoo sits at the small of her back, and is of an intricate tiger. Her fourth tattoo is on her right wrist, and is a tribal design of an elephant, symbolizing good luck, sinc elephants are supposed to be lucky. Her fifth tattoo is on the other wrist in a line and are symbols for the planets that go almost up to her elbow, though not quite because her sixth tattoo sits just above them in the crease of her elbow, and is the words "miles to go" in simple font. Her seventh tattoo is actually two tattoos. It's of two foxes, each on the outer edge of one of her hands. Finally, her eighth and smallest tattoo is a small sun and moon on the side of her middle finger.

"The word 'fear' isn't even in my vocabulary."
☠ Her brother → Though Dahlia would never admit it in a million years, her brother frightens the Hell out of her. He's unpredictable, and treats her like shit, and ever since she was younger, he's been terrorizing her. He's the only person that really scares her, and he's the reason she keeps a gun under her pillow and a knife in her boot.
☠ Love/commitment → Dahlia doesn't do love or commitment. She's afraid to get close to someone because she's afraid to feel something for someone, and have them let her down. She keeps people at arms length, making sure they can never hurt her.
☠ Her Past → She's afraid her past will catch up to her and ruin her present.
☠ Losing Kennedy → What she feels for Kennedy is the closest thing she's ever felt to loving someone. She's the only person Dahlia is attached to, and would probably die if something happened to Kennedy.

Personality
Tenacious
[kuhn - ing]
Adjective

1. Holding fast; characterized by keeping a firm hold
2. Pertinacious, persistent, stubborn, or obstinate.
3. Holding together; cohesive; not easily pulled asunder; tough.
4. Highly retentive

Dahlia has had an extremely rough life and it's hardened her unbelievably. She is probably the toughest girl you will ever meet in your life. Nothing fazes her. Nothing scares her. She keeps it together even when the world gets turned upside down.

Some call her crazy, some call her bitchy, and others say she's seeking attention, but it's not true. Sure, there's parts of her that are a little crazy, and she can be a bitch at times, but the last thing she's doing is looking for attention. She doesn't need anyone's approval, and their opinions go right over her head, making it remarkably hard to hurt her. She's spent years building a hard shell around herself, she's not about to let one idiot, or even a thousand idiots, knock it down with harsh words.

D is extremely hard. She's unafraid of anything, least of all people. She doesn't let them push her around and, if they try, they'll soon realize it was a mistake, for she had no trouble beating the shit out of you. She's a fighter, but that's an understatement. She's more than just a fighter. She lives to fight people, whether it be physically or verbally, Dahl doesn't matter as long as she gets to put someone in their place.

When people first see her, they don't know what to think, and they tend to underestimate her, for she's a small girl, with an almost childlike face, and yet she's got tattoos and scars all over her body. She's a walking oxymoron, and that makes people unsure how to judge her, so they tend to lean towards the childish side, and treat her like she's weak or delicate. Anyone who knows her knows this is wrong, but people who don't know her are surprised to find that she's actually tough-as-nails.

Dahlia likes to hide her emotions from people, allowing them to see only what she wants them to see. She's good at pretending, and nearly no one can read her. She's got the poker face of a rock. She could be ready to shoot herself and you'd never know. She's good at manipulating her emotions, just as she's good at manipulating people.

When it comes to people, the phrase "does not play well with others" is an understatement. She's abrasive, and this comes off as rude, and she's curious, so her questions come off as too personal. She has absolutely no filter, and her cursing would put a whole sea of sailors to shame. Her lack of a filter leads people to think that she doesn't think before she speaks. There's a difference though, between being bold, and stupidly throwing your words around. Dahl thinks before she talks, she just doesn't care what your opinion is. If you think her question is too personal or her comment was rude, that's your problem, not hers.

Another thing about Dahlia is that generally, she likes to be alone. She may be confident, and unafraid, but she likes to keep herself and her emotions safe, so, in order to do that, she very rarely let's people close to her. She keeps everyone at arms length, and, at times, can even find herself doing it to Kennedy. Not because she doesn't care about the person, but because she does. The instant she finds herself growing attached to someone, she freaks out and ruins the relationship. Caring about people is too risky. She could hurt them by dragging them down into her train-wreck of a life, or they could hurt her by disappointing her, so, in the end, she finds it safer to push people away.

She finds people disposable. Once you use them, you throw them away. She very rarely has boyfriends, and, when she does, it's probably because they're really good in bed, or they can get her something, like the time she had a boyfriend in a tattoo shop who got her free tattoos. When she does have a boyfriend, she's very, very rarely faithful, and is always cheating. She manipulates people, getting what she wants out of them and then throwing them away, playing games with those that aren't as smart, taking, but never giving.

Dahlia is absolutely wild. There is nothing about her that is tame. She's almost always on some drug, and it's very rare to catch her sober. Even at nine in the morning. She's a true night-owl who parties until the break of dawn and wakes when the next party starts. She's addicted to trouble. It attracts her like metal to a magnet, and excites her. She's always getting her and Kennedy in trouble, and, though Kennedy's wild too, it's obvious that she's more responsible then Dahl, for, unlike D, Kennedy has a sense of when enough is enough.

Dahl isn't like that. She doesn't know when to stop, and that can make her a lot of fun, but also very dangerous, for, the same applies with her anger. She could easily kill you if you got her angry enough or Kennedy wasn't around. She simply can't make herself take a step back and just stop. This is a serious issue for her, and one of the reasons she's always high, because it mellows her out, and calms her paranoia and overactive mind down. Sometimes, Kennedy jokes that if D doesn't always have something or someone to destroy, she'd go insane, but Dahlia has her suspicions that this is true. It's like she has to cause trouble, or do something exciting, otherwise, she's just sitting around, thinking, remembering, and feeling. Three things she swore off the day she left home.

Another thing Dahl has is the ability to keep her cool. Despite all the crazy thoughts raging in her head, threatening to tear her apart, when shit hits the fan, she's surprisingly good at staying calm and figuring out what to do. She's a girl of action, and may reach for a gun before thinking about it, but when her life is threatened, she knows how to use her brain, and can easily, and logically thing her way out. Don't expect the same for someone else though. Unless you're very important to her, D won't play the hero. She won't save you just because it's right. She'll save you if she has to, if you offer her something, or if you mean something to her. Otherwise, you're fucked.

History
"I left my past in New York. As far as I'm concerned, it never happened." Dahlia was born to Calla-Lilly Winifred a stupid girl who dropped out of high school at fifteen and had too much sex, resulting in an unwanted son. Calla's parents, Dahl's grandparents, were strict christen people who found Calla disgusting for having sex before marriage and threw her out, refusing to help their scared, sixteen year-old daughter give birth to, and raise a child she'd never wanted.

Calla had to do it all alone, and it was no secret that the girl wasn't smart, so she couldn't get a good job, and ended up working at a local gas station, and giving boys at her school blowjobs for money.

She had Jack, her son, and moved to New York City, hoping to have some better luck finding a job there. Five years after having Jack, Calla was pregnant again with Dahlia, only this time, Calla married the man, afraid of being left alone with two children.

Her father, John Carmichael, wasn't happy about it, but his parents forced him into it, telling him that either her be responsible and step up, or they'd cut him off of the family fortune, so he married her. On the outside, their household was the envy of all motherly housewives. John was handsome and the heir to his family's business, meaning he was rich, and Calla was a beautiful stay-at-home mom, who's sole devotion was raising her kids.

In reality, their home was loveless and dark. John, angry about being forced into being a family man, was almost never home, and was drunk all the time when he was. He controlled their mother because their mother was weak, shoving anything he believed in down her throat until she believed it and recited it back like his own personal puppet. Their mother stayed home to take care of them only because she was too stupid to do anything else, and told both Jack and Dahl that they were mistakes on a daily basis. That she didn't love them.

Jack quickly fell into the wrong crowd as most kids with their type of upbringing did, but Dahlia was more resistant. She kept away from people, refusing to make friends, and fought of anyone who called her mother a whore for the sake of surviving school, however, she was generally a good kid, getting good grades, and trying her best to play along with John's "perfect little family" routine to keep his temper and abuse away from her. She didn't act out too often.

When she was thirteen and Jack was eighteen though, this changed drastically. Jack had become a huge pothead, and a loser, and his friends were always over and taunting Dahlia, saying horrible, and often sexual things to her, causing her to go out and buy a lock for her door, which made John angry, so he ripped it off and beat her for it.

One night, she came home to find that her mother and John were out and Jack was there, with all his friends, smoking pot in the living room. He asked her if she wanted some and she said no, but he insisted and told her it wouldn't hurt if she just tried it once, so she agreed. Only, she wasn't aware that what he'd given her was much much stronger than normal weed, and she was completely incoherent in minutes.

And unable to tell one of Jack's friends no when he wanted to have sex with her.

When she woke was when she found out that Jack had sold her so he could get more money for drugs, and he did it a several more times, though she never agreed to smoke with him again, he'd sneak it in her food or her drinks to the point where she'd stopped eating except at school, and started making friends whose parents were never home so she could stay at their houses.

When she was fourteen, John got really drunk and took advantage of the fact that she didn't have a lock on her door to break into her room. Over the year that had passed with her brother selling her like a whore, Dahl had gotten herself a knife that she kept under pillow so when her father came in, angry, she was afraid he'd either beat her or rape her so she reached for the knife, only he was quicker and grabbed her ankles, and in her desperation to get the knife before he pulled her out of the bed and away from it, she grabbed the blade instead of the handle with both hands, and he yanked her, causing her grip to tighten, giving her the twin scars on her palms.

She told him to stop, but he wouldn't, so Dahlia did what she had to and stabbed him, killing him.

The courts saw it as self-defense so she got off, but something changed in her. Something snapped and she felt the power of being independent enough to make choices for herself and get shit done, unlike her weak mother. She fell into various bad habits and started picking up all the wrong friends, and learned to protect herself and how to shoot a gun.

After John's death, her mother changed, becoming more than a little negligent, leaving her and Jack to starve most the time, and, by the time she was fifteen, Dahlia was sick of it. So she took matters into her own hands and got herself emancipated, earning herself full legal adulthood at the age of fifteen.

Dahlia stole a handful of cash from her mother and hopped the next plane to Hawaii, leaving Jack and her mother behind.

Almost instantly, she met Kennedy and lived with her for a little while until the two of them moved out and got their own place.

Not long after they'd settled in and Dahlia was beginning to make money playing her guitar and singing in bars, clubs, and coffee shops, becoming sort of a local celebrity, Dahlia got a few surprise visits. First, came Tristin, a friend of hers from when she was young. She'd stayed at his house a million times when she was too afraid to go home, and the two caught up quick and even dated for a while, until Kennedy's asshole of a boyfriend and Tristin's new bestfriend Austen broke them up, thinking Dahlia was trash and no good for Tristin. Dahlia didn't forgive Tristin for agreeing with Austen, but she let him hang around her, and even screwed around with him a little afterwards.

Her second visit came from her brother. He came just a few weeks after Tristin and so many people from her past popping up on her all but gave her a heart attack, seeing as she'd left New York to get away from everyone and become a new person. Jack moved in with her and Kennedy because she couldn't turn him away. He was her brother, and the only person who could scare her enough to get her to do what he wanted.

Now he mooches off Dahlia and Kennedy, and is right back to terrorizing Dahl with his friends, and she's forced to sleep with a gun under her pillow and carry a knife in her pocket once again.

He Loves You
- By The Pretty Reckless
If he loves you and you believe,
Chicka chicka drip drop on you knees.
If he loves when your dead and gone,
Kissy kissy killer kitty play along.
But as for all inside your wounded soul,
He's never ever gonna let you go.
He's never ever gonna let you go.
He's never ever gonna let you go.

If he loves you,
He loves you not.
Be the one to leave him, baby don't get caught.
If he loves you,
He'll set your heart on fire.
Hate to be the one to tell you he's a liar.
If he loves you,
He loves you not.

So call him closer
Be a doll
He gives you just a taste
But you want it all
But if you stumble before you fall
Take a little taste or you'll lose it all

If he loves you,
He loves you not.
Be the one to leave him, baby don't get caught.
If he loves you,
He'll set your heart on fire.
Hate to be the one to tell you he's a liar.
If he loves you,
He loves you not.

Bet your wishin' for the day,
Wishin' and wish it all away,
Bet your wishin' for the day.

Well he loves you but he loves you not,
Be the one to leave him baby don't get caught.

Cause if he loves you,
He'll set you heart on fire.
Hate to be the one to tell you hes a liar.
If he loves you,
Then loves you not.
Be the one to leave him baby don't get caught.
Cause if he loves you,
Ohhh yeah if he loves you,
He loves you not.

Hit Me Like A Man
- By The Pretty Reckless
Ow!

I am strong, love is evil
It's a version of perversion that is only for the lucky people
Take your time and do with me what you will
I won't mind, you know I'm ill, you know I'm ill

So hit me like a man and love me like a woman
Buried and sad, look me in the eyes, I want it
One will give you hell, one will give you heaven
Hit me like a man, love me like a woman
Love me like a woman

Love is strong, but I am evil
You are wrong, about me
Take your time, ah, play with me until
You can hear the children scream, like their stuck inside a dream
That you, ah, will

So hit me like a man, love me like a woman
Bury me alive, I can see it in your eyes, you want it
Some will give you pain, some will give you pleasure
Hit me like a man, love me like a woman
Love me like a woman

Don't you run away, run away from me, I will run away from you
Don't you run away, run away from me, I will run away from you

Hit me like a man, love me like a woman
From the devil deep inside, can't you see what I'm wanting?
Some will give you hell, some will give you heaven
So hit me like a man, love me like a woman
Love me like a woman
Love me like a woman
Love me like a woman, ow!

His needed to keep her mind on other things, one because she wasn’t exactly sure what Jake’s friends had given her and she didn’t want to wake up next to someone she didn’t know and two, because as much as she was trying to ignore the pain in her chest it was flaring up again. She debated whether or not to push him away and stumble to her room, where she knew she’d be safe and she wouldn’t have to explain herself.

His hands slipped up her shirt and she shivered at the way his hands touched her, she cursed herself wishing she’d have kept herself less transparent. The drugs that swam through her system making her easier than normal, she let out a soft moan as his lips moved along her neck. She knew she couldn’t let him have control of the situation or he’d end up getting the best of her and then she’d never hear the end of it or worse, she’d tell him she actually liked him more than just a fuck buddy.

She grabbed his arms pulling them out from under her shirt smirking and she shoved him up against the side of the house again, only this time it was rougher, letting him know she was taking control. She was always in control when it came to hooking up with guys, with the exception of Nathan who challenged her and she liked that. She pressed her lips to his and she felt the heat in her cheeks and the electricity that ran from his body into hers, she was thankful for the darkness, because light would have given her away. She had to keep telling her self that there was nothing between them and it was only the drugs making her feel what she was feeling, like if he let go over her she’d disappear.

She hated that he made her feel that way, she wasn’t some naïve little girl, who waited around for prince charming. She was broken and used and she could admit that.

“Kenna?” she heard a familiar voice and everything he made her feel, the high from his kiss, all of it drained from her in an instant and all the was left was the sick feeling from the drugs.

“Mom.” She breathed in disbelief as she stared at the silhouette of her mother.

She glanced past her mother to the car that was still running, seeing the silhouette of three others in the car and she knew one of them had to be Charlie. She walked making a B line for the car forgetting about Nathan’s existence entirely. She felt her mother grabbed her arm harsh enough to leave a bruise.

“You don’t get to see her.” She spat bitterly and Kennedy glared at her mother, she knew she was too weak to pull away. “I didn’t come for you
I came to find your brother.” Kennedy rolled her eyes that wasn’t suprising, her mother had always favored her brother, mostly because he was near perfect in their mothers eyes. He was a genius, he’d graduated college, he tolerated their mother, and he hadn’t seen what her mother had really done to their father. “He owes me money.” She smirked, Kennedy scoffed.

“For what
being your son.” Kennedy spat back.

“Exactly.” He mother answered back “Your new step-daddy and I are going to have a little fun
but we need money for that.” She explained though keeping it brief. “So you wanna tell me where he is before you dad loses his temper, he doesn’t like waiting.” She said purposely calling whoever it was Kennedy’s father, knowing it’d piss her off, then Kennedy realized what Charlie had told her and she ripped her arm away from her mother.

“Find him yourself
” she said harshly “And tell your new boyfriend to stay the fuck away from Charlie
or I’ll kill him.” She threated, before feeling the pain come back to her chest.

She led him down the trail to the beach and he was pretty impressed by it, they had their own private beach, there were a few other on the beach, but he couldn’t make out any of them due to the darkness of the beach, there was no moon making it even darker than normal.

She lend into him and instinctively her pulled her close, smirking wickedly. The second she pressed her lips to his all of the worry about Jack and his friends disappeared and became the least of his worries, because in all honesty if anyone tried to pull her away from him now, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill them.

He kissed her back just as roughly, only there was passion in this kiss and he hated himself for letting the kiss convey that there was anything else between them other than sex. He kept one hand on the back of her neck letting her know he wasn’t going to let her pull away anytime soon. His other and slipped under the back of her shirt and his hand was on fire, the feeling of her skin on his was pure ecstasy.

He let his lips wonder from her lips to her jawline, letting each one linger there for a second to long obviously playing with her, the way a cat would play with it pray. His lips continued from her jawline down her neck in the same slow, playful manor. He finally brought his lips back to hers, kissing her less rough, it was deeper and almost lovely, it wasn’t until he pulled away that he’d realized how he’d been kissing her and he cursed himself, yet on the outside he smirked playing it off cooly.

Dahlia smirked against his lips as he kissed her back, feeling the passion there. Normally, as soon as she the person she'd been messing around with started to show they felt something towards her that was more than just sex, she shut them out instantly, so, had she been herself, D would have pushed him away and walked off, leaving him standing there without a word, but the drugs in her system, and the way he made her feel when he kissed her, on top of her fear of Jack, made her stay, and even welcome the passion in his lips.

His hand held her in place, as though he wanted her to know she didn't have a choice, that she wasn't going to be able to pull away, but she knew the message was pointless, because she wouldn't have been able to tear herself away from him even if she'd wanted to. Neither the drugs, nor her own body would have let her. Kissing him felt way too good.

She felt his hand slide under her shirt, and she smirked against his lips, loving the way his skin felt on hers, she ran her own hands down his chest. His lips moved from hers, working their way slowly across her jaw. It was agonizing, how slow he was moving, and she knew he was doing it to tease her, and get some sort of reaction out of her, but she couldn't help herself. She took the bait and moaned into him a little desperately as though she wanted him to speed it up, but he just kept moving as he was, his lips tracing a slow, but hot line down her neck playfully.

Finally, he brought his kiss back to her lips and she was shocked to find that it wasn't as rough and needy as their previous kisses. It was deep, like it meant something, and, despite herself, she moaned again and leaned into him, kissing him back.

Then he pulled away and smirked at her. She was glad it was dark so he couldn't see the disappointment on her face and she smirked back. "What?" She said as she kissed his jaw playfully and laughed. "Don't tell me you want to do the right thing and leave me alone." She said with a laugh, trying not to think about the way he'd kissed her.

His kiss had almost been loving, and it freaked her out. She'd only known him for a day, and she'd thought she'd be able to have a little more fun with him before she'd had to dump him on his ass like she'd done to so many guys because one of them was starting to grow attached, but it'd been clear since the second he'd kissed her that morning that he wasn't normal. There was something different about him that scared her and excited her at the same time. Something that made every fiber of her being want and need him, while causing her to mentally panic at the same time.

Dahlia didn't talk again as she continued to kiss his neck, lips, and run her hands over his chest playfully. She didn't trust herself to speak anymore. She was afraid if she did, she wouldn't be able to keep herself from saying something stupid. Something that would brake her illusion of her being heartless.

Nathan felt her shiver and heard her moan, and smirked wickedly against her lips. She was tough, but she wasn't invincible, that much was clear, and he like the fact that he could get to her. Suddenly, she pulled him away and smirked before shoving him roughly against the house again.

He could tell she wanted to be in control, and he didn't fight her at first, deciding to let her think she could run things as she kissed him again. He kissed back, his lips hot against hers as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her body tightly to his, one hand at the small of her back, the other on the back of her neck.

“Kenna?” Nathan heard and he rolled his eyes, glancing at Kennedy, hoping she'd just wave off whoever it was so they could get back to making out, but he felt her energy change suddenly, and sighed, releasing her.

“Mom.” She breathed and he raised his eyebrows and glanced towards the person. He couldn't see her clearly in the dark, but he could see her shape. The way Kenna had said the word was wrong. Not the way a person should be saying it. So he knew instantly, there was something going on between her and her mother.

Nate leaned against the house as Kennedy ignored both him and her mother and made her way past them, making him look up to see that there was a car sitting there, out front of the house. A car he recognized, but it didn't make any sense that his dad's car would be in her driveway. It was clear that there were other people in the car, based on the clear silhouettes, but he couldn't make out faces, and he shook off the suspicion that it was his dad's car. There was no way. The woman must just have the same car. It happened.

“You don’t get to see her.” Her mother spat, bringing his attention back to the two to see that she'd grabbed hold of Kenna, stopping her from reaching the car. “I didn’t come for you
I came to find your brother. He owes me money.” Nathan could tell by the words your brother, the way she'd said them, that Kennedy and Keegan's mother preferred her son over her daughter. It was weird how much he was getting out of their one conversation, but it was what he did. He picked people apart just from looking at, and listening to them, and he was fairly good at it, almost always spot on.

“For what
being your son?” Kennedy spat back.

“Exactly.” He mother answered and Nate watched her, irritated by the way she was acting, sounding like his own father. “Your new step-daddy and I are going to have a little fun
but we need money for that. So you wanna tell me where he is before you dad loses his temper, he doesn’t like waiting.” He caught the way she'd staid step-dad and then switched to dad, and could tell the woman was trying to get to her.

“Find him yourself
” Kennedy spat. “And tell your new boyfriend to stay the fuck away from Charlie
or I’ll kill him.”

Nathan raised his eyebrows and glanced at the car. So in the car must be Kenna's mother's boyfriend, and Charlie, who he assumed was her sister, judging from her mother's words and Kenna's protective attitude, but who was the third person? He looked back at Kennedy, suddenly shocked at realizing how much they had in common. They both had shitty parents who still had one of their siblings, and they couldn't do anything about it.

He wanted to grab Kennedy and pull her away so they could go back to kissing, but he didn't get between her and her mother, knowing it wasn't his place. He simply stood there and watched as he lit a cigarette. Most people would probably go away and give them privacy but, while Nathan wasn't going to step in where it wasn't his place, he still wasn't leaving.

For the first time in a long time Kennedy regretted being strung out on drugs and drunk, because if she was sober she’d have hauled back and punched her in the face, but she was barely holding herself up. Her mother pulled her dangerously close, close enough Kenna could smell the alcohol on her breath and she winced knowing she was driving Charlie around in intoxicated.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He mother said darkly an Kennedy used every muscle in her body to push away from her mother, causing her to stumble back a bit, managing to catch herself before falling. Her mother wearing an arrogant smirk. “You were easily one of my biggest mistakes.” Her mother said cruelly, before turning her attention to the guy her daughter had just been making out with. “Careful sweetie, she’s a big enough whore you might catch something, I’m sure you could do better.” She said before turning and disappearing around the front of the house to look for Keegan.

Kennedy didn’t normally take comments to heart and she hated her mother, but regardless of the circumstances, she was still her mother and what she’d said nearly killed Kennedy, she was made aware of Nathan’s presents once again when her mother spoke directly to him, as much as it hurt, the last part was true, Nathan could do a whole hell of a lot better than her. She bit her lip until she tasted blood, fighting to hold back tears. She wasn’t sure if she’d be able to look at Nathan after what had just happened, he’d just seen into her life more than anyone else had ever seen.

“KC” she heard her sister’s voice call from the car causing her to look up, despite her mother’s warning she headed towards the car. She was worried for her sister being alone in the care with her mother supposed new boyfriend and she wasn't sure who the other person was, all she knew was she had to make sure her sister was alright.

When he’d pulled away from her, It was to pull himself together. He couldn’t understand why after only a few hours of knowing this girl he couldn’t stop thinking about being with her, he needed to step back and get control of himself, before he dug a hole he wouldn’t be able to climb out of.

"What? Don't tell me you want to do the right thing and leave me alone." she laughed as she kissed his jawline and he fought the urge to shiver from her kiss.

She didn’t talk again, she simply continued to kiss him, each kiss she placed on his skin he fought a shiver. Her finger tips on his chest had finally got to him and although it was barely noticeable, he shivered letting out a sigh.

He couldn’t take it anymore and he decided he composed himself enough and he pressed his lips to her, this time it was dangerous and rough, in fact everything about his body language became rougher and harsher, the way he held her, the way he touched her. He smirked against her lips slipping his tongue past her lips effortlessly. He used both his hands to pull her hips close, he pulled away placing a kiss on her cheek.

“Leaving you alone was the last thought on my mind.” He whispered darkly “I’d be stupid to walk away and leave you
when you’re so weak and venerable.” He spoke dangerously.

“Keegan.” He heard his name in the distance but he chose to ignore it.

He picked Dahlia up roughly, wrapping her legs around his waist, so they had to be close, he held her tightly, more than likely his grip on her would leave bruises, though it wasn’t purposely. He kissed her lips again this time, the kiss told her they were done talking and he was done playing.

“Keegan!” he heard again and the voice was unmistakable, his heart raced and his grip on Dahlia tightened, though he hadn’t realized it. He set he back down, knowing if his mother had come to find him, she’d find Kennedy if she already hadn’t and it would be a huge mess.

He kicked his self for forgetting to run the money by the house, he took a breath pulling a roll of hundred dollar bills from his pocket, it was a share from his winnings, he had to get her out of their and fast.

“Listen babe, wait right here, I got to take care of this.” He said, not wanting to leave her, he wanted to stay there with her, but he had to clean up his mess. He sighed as he followed the path back towards the house.

Dahlia felt his shiver and smirked softly as she kissed him, before finally, he kissed her back, pressing his lips hard against hers, the kiss switching back from the softer, more meaningful kiss, back to his rough, dangerous kisses, and it was obvious, the longer he kissed her, the rougher he got, making her grin wickedly and wrap her arms tightly around his neck as he slipped his tongue into her mouth and used her hips to yank her close.

“Leaving you alone was the last thought on my mind.” He whispered as he pulled back and she smirked. “I’d be stupid to walk away and leave you
when you’re so weak and vulnerable.” He he said as she rolled her eyes. She may be vulnerable at the moment, but she was the farthest thing from weak.

He lifted her, and she wrapped her legs around him as he held her extremely tight, and she already knew there'd be bruises on her hips and waist. She didn't care though, and his lips came down on hers again, letting her know they'd talked enough, and she was thankful and kissed him back.

“Keegan!” Dahlia heard and she jumped as he squeezed her tighter, making her wince a little. She felt his heart speed up and she wondered who was calling him, and why it was so important he had to set her down and pull out a roll of money.

“Listen babe, wait right here, I got to take care of this.” He said as he pulled away and she sighed and rolled her eyes, watching as he slipped back into the trees, headed for the house.

She stood there for a second, debating whether or not she wanted to follow him before turning to head down the path. However, someone grabbed her wrist from behind and pulled sharply, causing her to whirl to face him. "Go away." She spat at Jack as he grinned at her.

"How about no?" He said with a mocking laughed and she rolled her eyes and pulled out her knife.

"I said to get the fuck away from me." She spat bitterly, and he glared at her.

"What? You gonna stab me like you did dad?" He asked and held out his arms as if inviting her to run him through. "Go ahead." He challenged.

"What do you want?" She asked simply, not stabbing him, but not lowering her knife, though a look came over his face that told her he thought he won. That he knew she wasn't going to do it.

"You know what I want." He spat and she glanced up to see that he had a friend with him. Dahlia bit her lip and shook her head, yanking her hand quickly from his grip before turning and heading off down the path.

He followed her though, or, his friend did at least, and caught up with her, pushing her into the cover of the trees and making her drop her knife. He held her close and kissed her, pushing her against a tree so hard her head bumped against it painfully and her vision swam. She wasn't able to fight him, not with the drugs in her system, so she just turned her head to the side and closed her eyes as he kissed along her neck.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Kennedy's mom spat back at her, and it was clear Kenna was overly intoxicated, because it took her a lot of effort to push her mom away, and when she finally did, she stumbled and had to rebalance herself. “You were easily one of my biggest mistakes.” Her mother spat and even Nathan winced at that one. It was harsh. He glanced up as her eyes turned on him, and raised his eyebrows, interested to hear what she had to say to him as he puffed out a breath of smoke. “Careful sweetie, she’s a big enough whore you might catch something, I’m sure you could do better.” She said before turning away and Nathan rolled his eyes.

Nate could tell by the way Kenna wouldn't look at him that what her mother had said had hurt, and she was ashamed that he'd had to see it. However, he didn't blame her. What she'd said to her would hurt anyone. So he just sighed, about to say something, ask her if she was okay, when a voice came from the direction of the car.

“KC” He heard and glanced up, watching as Kennedy headed for the car. The back window was rolled down now, and a little girls face was in it.

Figuring he'd seen enough of her life for one night, and he owed her a little privacy with her sister, Nathan was about to turn away when someone else's head also came to the window, curiously and he had to do a double take. Was that Krista? There was no way. He had to be imagining things.

He shook his head and took a step forward, debating whether or not to follow her and find out. If he followed and it turned out the girl only looked weirdly similar to his sister, it would look like he was a nosy asshole, but if it was her? Was Kenna's mom's boyfriend... He glanced at the driver, though he could still only see a silhouette. Even if it was Krista, he shouldn't go over there. If it was his father, he shouldn't let him see him.

"Nate?" Krista called, spotting him and blowing his cover.

"Fuck." He spat to himself before flicking out his cigarette and stomping on it. "Yeah I'm here Kris." He called back as he hesitated before finally making his way after Kennedy.

Kennedy had gotten to the car, glaring at the man in the driver’s seat, another girl about Charlie’s age was sitting next to her sister and she narrowed her eyes, she opened the door of the car, pulling her sister to her hugging her tightly, she hadn’t seen her in over six months. She felt her younger’s sister’s arms wrap around her and at the point she could care less if her mom caught her.

"Nate?" she heard the other girl say and she raised a brow glancing back to where Nathan stood as he put out his cigarette.

"Yeah I'm here Kris." she heard him say as he started towards and she couldn’t exactly explain it but she felt relieved and safer when he’d decided to join her.

She pulled away looking at her sister over for a moment before kissing her forehead, it was like Charlotte being in her presence turned her into a totally different person and a part of her hated that Nathan was going to see that side of her, she wasn’t even sure Dahlia had ever seen that side of her. She was smart enough to assume it was his sister, which meant her mother was seeing his father and it hit her heard, she closed her eyes it was way too much to take in, so she chose to ignore it.

Instead she her attention to the man in the driver’s seat, glaring at him, his window down. She didn’t care that he was twice her size and if he was dating her mother he was more than likely dangerous and a druggie, but none of that matter. She pushed her sister behind, walking to the driver’s side door and leaning down to the guys eye level, her and Charlie knew what she was doing and she tried to pull her in the opposite direction, but it was no use.

“Listen ass hole, fuck my mom all you want
but try anything with Charlie and I’ll fucking murder you.” She spat harshly glaring at the man, despite the fact the he was more than likely Nathan’s father and if he really wanted to he could hurt her, but she didn’t back down

Keegan wasn’t exactly happy about leaving Dahlia alone, but he had to take care of his mother. He made his way through the trees until he reached the house where he saw his mother. Looking as though she was asking around for him and he rolled his eyes, he opened his mouth to call her over wanting to get back to Dahlia as soon as possible, but she spotted him and was headed straight for him before he could say anything.

“What happened to finding a way to get it to me?” she spat and he rolled his eyes, trying to control himself from beating in his own mothers face. “Do you have any idea what time
” she trailed up as he held up the wad of cash and she smirked, taking the money from his hand, no thank you nothing, she turned to walk away. He grabbed her arm roughly, a warning and she turned back to look at him.

“That’s a thousand dollars. I’m not stupid I know it’s not going to Charlie.” He glared at her with dark eyes. She ripped her arm away, continuing towards the car and he saw both Nathan and Kennedy, causing him to raise a brow.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw Jack walk by and he froze, anger and rage pulsed through his body he clenched his fists causing his knuckles to turn white almost immediately, he realized where Jack had come from and he took off back down the path, he glanced around the beach, his eyes searching for her, but there was no sign confirming his suspensions.

“God damn it!” he yelled angrily startling a few others causing them to look in his direction. Everything was a blur around him, it was no use trying to calm him down now, it was like someone had flipped on a light switch, except it wasn’t a light switch they’d turned on
it was Keegan’s dangerously dark and extremely violent temper.

He headed back towards the house walking along the path, his eyes darting through the trees, it was too dark for him to see, so instead he listened for something anything, every second that passed caused him to become more and more blinded by rage.

“Dahlia!” he called out, his voice dripping with anger. He listened for a response, he knew they were out there somewhere.

Dahlia heard movement on the path, then she heard Keegan, calling her name. He sounded pissed and his voice seemed to bring her back to herself, giving her a second of clarity through the confusion of the drugs. The guy with her smirked, seeming to know she'd try to get away, gripping her tightly, with his hand over her mouth so she couldn't make any noise.

She rolled her eyes and grabbed his shirt, spinning him so fast and hard it made her head pound, but it didn't matter. All that mattered was getting away from him. She shoved his back tightly against the tree with surprising force for someone as small as her, but he was bigger and grabbed her wrist, pushing her back and smacking her hard across the face.

She moved face, sweeping low as he shook her and picking the knife she'd dropped back up. Her moment of clarity was draining, she could feel it, so she had to move fast. He whipped her around to face him again, and she pushed the knife's tip against his throat. "Get out of here." She whispered so Keegan wouldn't hear, spitting blood on his face from his slap before turning and spitting it on the ground. "If I see you at my house again, I swear to god, next time it'll be my gun and I won't hesitate to pull the trigger." She said, pressing the knife harder, letting it prick his skin, before throwing him away from her and heading from the trees, back towards the path.

She spotted Keegan just ahead, facing the house with his back turned to her. He looked wild, and she ran her fingers through her hair and ran over to him, spinning him to face her. She slipped her knife away quickly before he saw it. "I'm fine." She lied as she stumbled a bit, dizzy from the drugs and leaned on him with a smirk.

As much as she'd like to watch Keegan kill the guy, he already knew too much. She didn't need him thinking he had to protect her or anything. "I went to the water after you'd left so you walked right past me on the beach." She said with a shrug, knowing it was dark and he could have easily missed her.

Dahl put on a smirk and pulled him close. "But damn, it's cute that you got all protective like that." She chuckled lightly as she placed a small kiss on his lips. She was a good liar, but he seemed to be able to pick things up quickly, judging by the way he'd instantly guessed her situation with Jack when no one else had, so she wondered if he'd believe her.

Nathan watched Kennedy with her sister as she came up, noticing the way she treated her, and it was like she was someone else entirely. He tried to ignore his father's stabbing eyes as he made his way up to the side of the car. Krista wasted no time in crawling across the seats and hopping out and into his arms.

"Nate! She squealed, clearly more than a little happy to see him and he chuckled and hugged her back, lifting her easily, as if she were weightless and placing a kiss on her forehead before setting her back down. She glanced at the house with the loud music and drunk people miling about, and he was suddenly happy he hadn't taken too many drugs or drank anything much that night, or Krista would be greeted with a very different version of her brother that would only make her mad. "Is this where you live?" She asked, looking up at him.

Nathan shook his head and sighed. "No Krissy." He said. "I don't live here, just stay here sometimes." He glanced at Kenna. Her eyes were on his father and he winced, knowing she was going to try and confront him just by the look in her eyes. She moved around the driver's side and Nate took Krista's hand and pulled her with him as he followed, standing just off to the side and behind Kennedy.

“Listen ass hole, fuck my mom all you want
but try anything with Charlie and I’ll fucking murder you.” She spat and he watched as his father rolled his eyes and pulled out the gun he knew he always kept handy, just in case he managed to find Nate, from his glovebox and hold it out the window, pointed at her head, then Charlie's, then hers again.

"Or maybe I'll just murder you and do what I want." His dad spat with a wicked smirk, and it was clear by the way his hand shook wavered back and forth slowly, unable to focus, and his words slurred that he was shitfaced.

Nathan rolled his eyes and released Krista's hand, stepping between his father and Kennedy so fast, his father's slow, drunk mind, didn't have time to see it coming, and he pulled the gun from his hand, leaning down, his elbows on the edge of the window as he glared at his father and pressed the gun to the side of his head, his finger on the trigger. "Hey pops." He said with a wicked smirk, as if greeting an old friend.

"So it's true." His dad spat angrily, but didn't move, afraid he'd pull the trigger. "My piece of shit son is back in town. Your brother's been looking for you all over the place." He said wickedly, and Nathan smirked cockily. His brother was part of the reason he traveled so much. He was always on his tail, searching for him for his dad, so he could drag him home and the two of them could kill him.

"Yeah I know, how is the faithful bloodhound?" He spat, and Nathan pressed the gun tighter to his head, anger clear in his eyes. "If I kill you now, I can get you off my ass, keep you from hurting Krista or her friend, and do the world a huge favor." He hissed darkly as his finger slowly squeezed the trigger.

"Nate?" Krista's voice from behind him stopped him, and he managed a second through his anger to turn and look at her, glancing up to see that Kenna's mother was coming back as well. He couldn't shoot his father with Krista right there watching. He wouldn't scar her that way.

He sighed and took a step away from the car. "Get the fuck out of here." He spat, gesturing for Krista to get back in the car, hating that he had to leave her with him. "Next time I see you, I will kill you."

Kenna watched as he pulled a gun out pointing it between her and her sister and where any normal person would be scared, she was far from it, it wasn’t the first or the second or even the third time she’d had a gun point at her. Nathan stepped between her and his father and he took the gun. She listened to his conversation, sighing it was all too clear that their backgrounds were very similar. She that the fact he had a gun in his hand and the dangerous tone of his voice, excited her and only made her want to be with him that much more.

Finally after a few moment Nathan took a step back from the car threatening that the next time he saw his father he’d kill him and Kenna smirked, though her smirk disappeared when she saw her mother, coming straight towards them.

“KC.” Her sister whispered and Kenna winced, but kissed her cheek.

“I’m working on it babe.” She said softly, before her sister slid into the back seat of the car.

Her mother walked passed her, blowing Kennedy a sarcastically arrogant kiss as she climbed into the passenger seat of the car, leaning in and kissing Nathan’s father and Kenna looked away disgusted.

“You kids have fun.” Her mother taunted as they peeled out leaving Nathan and Kennedy alone once again.

She honestly couldn’t think about what had just happen, because it would only drive her crazy and the way she cooped was practically overdosing, to numb her body and having sex with any guy she deemed acceptable. Only this time she only wanted to get numb with Nathan and she wanted to feel his lips on hers again.

She smirked still seeing the gun in his hand and she had a really bad idea in mind. She quietly walked up behind him, letting her finger tips slide down the length of his arm until she reached the gun quickly taking it from him as she stepped in front of him, she placed it to his chest, smirking darkly, her finger on the trigger. To everyone else she probably looked completely insane, yet somehow she knew he’d find her amusing.

“Kiss Me.” She said almost ordering him moving the gun over his heart.

Keegan heard a ruffling and he glanced in that direction only problem was he didn’t want be wrong so he stayed put, but it was driving him absolutely crazy. He may have only known her for a few hours, but until he decided he was done playing with her as far as he was concerned she was his. He was possessive when it came to girls.

She felt her spin him to face her and he could tell right away she wasn’t okay, he body language and the little bit of blood on her cheek proved that.

"I'm fine." he rolled his eyes and he didn’t want to hurt her, he knew she was lying and if she continued, he might her hurt, his rage had boiled over to a point he couldn’t control it. "I went to the water after you'd left so you walked right past me on the beach." he clenched his jaw "But damn, it's cute that you got all protective like that." her last comment and her smirk would have normally made him smirk and pull her in for a rough kiss.

But, his expression didn’t change, the features of his face were harder and his eyes dark almost wild as he looked at her a look that should scare anyone, but she’d already proved or at least faked pretty damn good that she wasn’t afraid of him.

He grabbed her arm roughly “Where is he” he hissed in a murderous tone “Tell me or I’ll beat it out of your brother.” His voice was full of intent “Don’t fucking lie to me.” He said harshly, not bothering to loosen his death grip on her arm.

Dahlia could tell he wasn't buying it. His face stayed angry and harsh, and he rolled his eyes at her, clearly not believing her. She could practically feel the danger boiling off him in waves, and knew he was wild and not exactly rational at the moment, but she really couldn't care less. She'd dealt with people who got that way. Hell, she got that way. She wasn't afraid.

Suddenly, he grabbed her arm, holding her harshly as he glared at her. “Where is he?” He hissed in a voice so dark, it could only mean murder. “Tell me or I’ll beat it out of your brother.” Dahlia wasn't afraid, but she did wince a little at the way he was speaking, fully willing to kill both her brother and his friend. “Don’t fucking lie to me.” He practically ordered her.

His grip was like steel on her arm, and she rolled her eyes and gave it a good twist, letting out a small cry at the pain it caused her, but cutting it off quickly as she managed to yank it free from his hand and taking a step back, though not in fear, just to make sure he couldn't grab her again, and, if he tried, she'd have a chance at reacting. "Oh shut up." She spat, and she knew it was harsh, but that's what she did. She kept people who tried to get into her life at arms length by being cruel to them when they were only trying to help her.

She shook her head. "I can handle it okay?" She rolled her eyes. It wasn't obvious on the outside, but inside she doubted it. She hadn't been able to handle Jack since he'd started, but there was no way she was admitting that. She preferred to believe things were fine, and as far as no one knew, she had them under control. Only Keegan had messed that up."I'm a big girl Keegan, I've been taking care of myself for years." She took another step away from him, her irritation clear.

"Sure we fucked, but I hardly know you." She said, tone bitter and angry, doing what she did best by pushing away people who tried to help her or get into her life. "So I don't belong to you, and you don't have to protect me. No one owns me, and I'm more than capable of protecting myself."

Nathan was pissed. He'd been careful to make sure for the past year that his father didn't know anything about him being back, and had even made sure to send his brother on some false trail to South America that had kept him occupied for a while.

However, now he knew, and now he knew he was back for Krista. He watched them pull off, trying to control his anger before he felt her fingers on his arm. She was behind him, but he knew it was her because of the way her touch felt.

He stayed still as she ran her hand down the length of his arm before reaching the gun, grabbing it before he could do anything and walking around in front of him, holding it out to his chest. He smirked and raised his hands jokingly. "Kiss me." Was all she said and he chuckled.

"You don't have to hold me at gunpoint to get me to kiss you." He said with a laugh as he stepped forward and grabbed her wrist so fast she had no chance of pulling away, gripping it hard, until her grip on the gun loosened and he had the gun safely in his hands again.

Being put at gunpoint, even teasingly, made him nervous, and she had a lot of drugs in her system. He knew she wouldn't purposely shoot him, but she could accidentally fire without even realize it. Once he had the gun again though, he tucked it away behind his back and used the hand that was squeezing her wrist to yank her against his chest with a smirk.

He looked down at her for a second before loosening his grip on her wrist and pressing a hot, hard kiss on her lips, slipping his tongue into her mouth before pulling back with a wicked grin. "Satisfied?" He smirked, raising an eyebrow and looking down at her. What he'd just witnessed with her family and his bothered him, but he didn't want to think about it. He didn't want to have to talk about it or explain himself to her, so he pushed it out of his mind and decided to focus on her instead.

Kennedy wanted him to kiss her, hoping it would take her mind off of what her mother had said and the fact that all she could think about was the safety of her sister.

"You don't have to hold me at gunpoint to get me to kiss you." she shrugged as he laughed stepping forward and grabbing her faster then she could process, she swallowed a whimper at how tight his grip on her was causing her to let go of the gun, a fake pout on her lips.

He tucked the gun away and she made a mental reminder to steal it back from him later, it was safe to say is probably a little more insane then most and having a gun in her hand always made her feel invincible. He pulled her to his chest with a smirk and she glanced up at him as he loosed his grip on her.

Her high had been ruined the moment her mother had showed up, she’d literally felt the drugs slip from her veins. Now she was just tired and her chest hurt from the mix of drugs and alcohol, she hoped his kiss would take it all away. His lips pressed to hers, it was hot, causing the rest of her body to be hot and that same electric feeling to surge trough her body and she kissed him back hard welcoming her tongue with her own. She’d instantly forgotten about everything. He pulled away and although she was disappointed, her face stayed passive.

"Satisfied?" He smirked, raising his brow.

“Not really” she smirked, pulling his lips back to hers, letting her hands slip inside his shirt and running her finger tips down his spine, seductively.

She pulled away with a playful smirk, grabbing his hand and interlocking her fingers with his as she led him back to the house, she led him into the house to the kitchen, pressing him roughly against the counter and kissing him playful. She felt a rough grip on her bicep, whoever it was had ripped her away from him so roughly her head swan and she felt like she was going to throw up. When her vision finally cleared Austen stood in front of her, his grip so tight on her arm she knew it already started bruising and it burned, she swallowed a painful yelp, keeping her face passive.

“What the fuck are you doing with him?” he spat harshly inches from her face.

“You have eyes sweetie, what does it look like?” She smirked.

He slapped her in the face, this time she was unable to hold back a whimper, the slap had been hard enough to causing her lip to bleed, her face to burn and her neck to snap to the side. Tears threatened to fall but she wouldn’t let them, she spit blood from her mouth before looking back to at Austen, glaring at him. She knew he was past drunk and probably higher than he’d been in a long time.

“Hit me again
I dare you.” She taunted with a wicked smirk, she was good at blocking out pain, it would hurt in the morning, as long as she could block it out until she was away from Austen.

She pulled away from him and he smirked dangerously, a smirk that said if she tried to run he’d hurt her. His facial expressions tuned even darker when she took a step away from him. He didn’t like it when he couldn’t control things, in enraged him.

"Oh shut up." she spat and his whole body tensed, he ignored the tone of her voice trying to control himself knowing he’d really hurt her if he couldn’t. "I can handle it okay?" he rolled his eyes, he could feel his anger growing. "I'm a big girl Keegan, I've been taking care of myself for years." when she took another step back he took a step forward, the step was threatening. "Sure we fucked, but I hardly know you. So I don't belong to you, and you don't have to protect me. No one owns me, and I'm more than capable of protecting myself."

He moved quicker than most would be able to react, grabbing her wrist roughly and tight enough she couldn’t get away. He shoved her body harshly against one of the trees, before he placed his free hand tightly around her neck, leaving little room for her to breath. He smirked wickedly moving dangerously close to her.

“You don’t look very big to me babe.” He said darkly, his breath on her ear before he pulled back looking into her eyes. “I could snap you like a twig.” He smirked, before placing a rough kiss on her lips, it was dark and nothing like the kisses they’d shared earlier. He pulled away looking her in the eyes again almost as if searching them. “And for the record, the second you kissed me
you became mine.” He whispered with a wicked smirk “No sit tight sweetheart, while I add to my body count.” He said tightening his grip on her neck before releasing her.

He took off quickly back towards the house with two thought on his mind, beating the shit out of Jack and killing the guy who’d touched Dahlia.

Keegan snapped out quickly, causing her to jump back, but it didn't matter. She had reacted too late and he'd managed to grab her wrist. She could tell just by the way he held it that he'd hurt her, but she still wasn't afraid. If he really threatened her, she had her knife. He pushed her body so hard into one of the trees, she knew there'd be bruises up her back.

His other hand came up and wrapped around her neck, constricting her breathing a little, making her gasp some, however she distinctively kept any fear or pain from her eyes, refusing to give him that satisfaction.

“You don’t look very big to me babe.” He said, tone dangerous and threatening as he breathed his words against her ear, making her shiver in his grip despite herself. “I could snap you like a twig.” He smirked, and she rolled her eyes, reaching slowly towards her pocket with her knife and keeping eye-contact as he searched her gaze, when he placed his lips on hers in a kiss that was rough and dark. The others had been rough as well, but this one was more dangerous. Taunting her almost.

“And for the record, the second you kissed me
you became mine.” He whispered, making her wince a little. She hated the thought of anyone owning her. She wasn't a doll, she was independent, and literally her entire life, she'd been working to get that way. Yet, Jack had power over her and now Keegan thought he did too. She found it exciting and sexy when a guy was possessive, but she usually just played with him, letting him think he had her, when really, she did what she wanted anyway, like she did with Tristin. “Now sit tight sweetheart, while I add to my body count.” He said, his grip on her neck tightening briefly, before finally releasing her, causing her to gasp loudly, allowing air to fill her lungs again.

Dahlia watched as he went off, clearly in search of her brother and/or the guy that had kissed her. Her head swam from a mix of the drugs, and Keegan's closeness, and her lack of air, but other than that, his dark roughness with her had sobered her up some, giving her a bit of clarity she hadn't had before.

She rolled her eyes and lunged forward, grabbing his arm this time and whirling him around. She wasn't stupid, she'd seen him fighting, and she knew she was no where near as strong as him, but she was capable of stopping him. "Don't be stupid." She said, rolling her eyes as she pulled her knife out, incase he tried to reach for her again. "Jack's friend is probably long gone by now, scared shitless of of me, and Jack carries two guns on him at all times, which I happen to know he's not afraid to use." She spat, wincing at the memory and the scar she had.

She stepped close, showing him she wasn't afraid as she raised the knife and pressed it to his neck. She wasn't as strong as him, she knew that, but she also wasn't helpless, and she wasn't about to let him push her around without pushing back as best she could. "And, let me make this crystal clear." She hissed darkly, as she pushed the blade a little harder against his skin. "I belong to no one. You don't own me, and you're not going to control me." Her voice was low, and dangerous, and she struggled, but she finally managed to pull the knife away from him and put it away, taking a step back.

"If you touch my brother, if he doesn't, I'll fucking kill you." She spat bitterly. She hated Jack, but, as much as she'd love to see him get the shit knocked out of him by Keegan, Dahlia didn't want him running off to hit him and causing a huge scene. Dahlia knew Jack was aware of the fact that she didn't want anyone to know what went on between them, and he'd see Keegan's attack as a personal threat from her, like she'd gotten herself someone to protect her, and he wouldn't be happy about that, he'd make sure everyone at the party knew what was happening, and that scared her way more than Keegan's temper ever could.

“Not really” She said, and he smirked, glad when she pulled him back to her for another kiss and slipped her hands under his shirt, forcing him to contain a shiver.

Nate let her drag him back to the house, and into the kitchen as she pressed her lips back to his again, and he smirked against her lips, kissing her harder and grabbing her hips in his hands, pulling her closer.

Then, suddenly, someone yanked her away, shocking him as empty air took the place where she'd just been standing. He glanced up, angry, seeing Austen was there, and getting even more angry knowing it was him. He better have a damned good reason for interrupting them, or he was getting punched.

“What the fuck are you doing with him?” He spat, and Nathan hadn't missed the cruel way he'd said him, only pissing him off more.

“You have eyes sweetie, what does it look like?” Kennedy smirked.

Then, he smacked her hard enough across the face to make her head whip to the side, and his anger peaked. He didn't even hear what she said next, he just lashed out, grabbing her wrist and pulling her swiftly from Austen's grip, pushing her behind him so that he was between Austen and her. He shook his head, looking him over in the judging way he'd seen him to do literally all of her friends. "I suggest you get out of here." He spat dangerously, knowing he was one stupid move or comment away from knocking him out cold.

Kennedy Callaway

Kenna felt him grab her and while Austen’s grip on her was strong, Nathan’s was stronger; he pushed her behind him, like she was some helpless prima donna. If there was one thing Kennedy and Dahlia had in common it was the fact that they couldn’t stand when people tried to protect them, they were perfectly capable of taking care of themselves and neither of them liked to be treated like they were children, incompetent of protecting themselves.

"I suggest you get out of here." she rolled her eyes at his threat.

She knew full well that Nathan could probably kill Austen, but not without a fight. Austen didn’t go down easy and Kennedy knew it would be a blood bath, having seen both boys fight. She was irritated at the way Austen tried to control her and ho Nathan had step up to try and protect her, but he barely knew her.

“Listen ladies.” She started with a smirk stepping between the two placing a hand on each of their chests seductively, clearly letting them know she was playing both of them. “It’s cute you two want to duke it out for me...but, it’s pointless really.” She smirked wickedly looking from Austen to Nathan. “You can beat the shit out of each other all you want to prove who’s more masculine or who fucks me best, but in the end
I still won't belong to either of you.” She said honestly.

She grabbed a handful of Nathan’s shirt pulling him to her lips roughly, kissing his lips deeply. She felt herself leaning into him, more than she should have and she’d forgotten for a moment where she was, until Austen’s body tense against her hand, causing her to pull away from Nathan quickly, pressing her lips to his, though it was empty. Kissing Austen was nothing like kissing Nathan, but Austen wouldn’t catch on. He kiss with Austen was short than her kiss with Nathan and she pulled away with a satisfied smirk.

“Wow Kenna, two guys at once I don’t even think I’m that big of a skank.” Brady smirked. Kennedy shrugged, letting her hands fall back to her side, steeping past both the guys and ignoring them as if they didn’t exist, she knew she was flush from her kiss with Nathan and she didn’t care at this point. “Looks like one of them has you all hot bothered.” Brandy said looking between the two as if playfully trying to figure out who it was, before shrugging as like she’d gotten bored.

“What can I say
I’m just one big messed up mistake.” She said using her mother’s words as if to remind herself that it was true, knowing no one would catch on, except Nathan.

Before the guys could react or, try and follow her she disappeared into the, now even larger crowd of people, heading towards her room. She opened the door to a couple making out. She yelled at them to get out and after a dirty look, they hurried out of the room and she slammed the door behind her. She was to distracted to remind herself to lock the door. She made her way to the radio, turning it up as high as it would possibly go in an attempt to drown everything out. The song stared slowly, and she grabbed and unopened bottle of whisky from her closet, opening it and taking a hug swig, now she had no adrenaline in her system, her face burned and swelled. She grabbed a pill bottle from her drawer and she wasn’t entirely sure what was in the pill bottle, she just knew it was dangerous. She popped three into her mouth and chased it with another drink of the whisky, before lay down on her bed, closing her eyes, as she listened to the music waiting for the drugs to take over.

He followed the path determined and dangerous, before feeling a small hand wrap around his wrist and he could tell it was her by the way her skin felt on his. He turned to face her, with a wicked smirk.

"Don't be stupid." she rolled her eyes, his eyes fell on her other hand as she pulled something out though in the darkness he couldn’t see what it was. "Jack's friend is probably long gone by now, scared shitless of me, and Jack carries two guns on him at all times, which I happen to know he's not afraid to use." she spat, but his face didn’t change, it honestly looked as if he wasn’t paying attention to her.

She stepped closer, causing him to smirk and he could feel a bit of his anger drain the longer he stayed near her. No one had ever taken a step towards his him when he got like this, people were normally running, trying to find a place to hid. The only person who’d ever stood up to him when he was in a violent move was Kennedy, because she knew him and she’d beat the shit out of him. But, this girl had never met him before today, yet she seemed so unafraid of him and he admired her for that.

He felt her press something to his neck and he could guess what it wasn’t, the sharp blade on his neck only made his smirk darker, taunting. He stepped forward challenging her, letting the knife dig into his neck a little more.

"And, let me make this crystal clear." he raised a brow at the tone she’d taken with him and he felt her press the knife harder against his skin. "I belong to no one. You don't own me, and you're not going to control me." the dangerous tone in her voice intrigued him, if it had been anyone else he wouldn’t have stuck around, he wouldn’t have lost his concentration so easily. When she finished scolding him she took a step back, tucking the knife away once again. "If you touch my brother, if he doesn't, I'll fucking kill you." she threated, causing him to roll his eyes.

He took a dangerous step forward and he’d lost all interest in trying to find her brother or his friend. He grabbed her wrist roughly, only this time it was more playful and less threatening. He backed her up into the tree, pinning her arms to the tree, above her, with one hand and leaning his body into hers. He placed his lips to hers roughly, before moving hot kisses along her jawline and down the length of her neck, slowly and seductively, like he’d done before they’d been interrupted by his mother on the beach.

He let his free hand roam her body freely, slipping under her shirt, before bringing his lips back to hers, this time the kiss was deeper and almost desperate. Finally his free hand finding her knife he took a step back holding it up, to show her he’d taken it. He smirked placing it against his neck, in the same spot she’d had it.

“You shouldn’t have hesitated.” He whispered darkly, before sliding the blade across the length of his neck, just enough to bring blood to the surface and not enough to cause any real damage or even pain, at least not enough to cause any pain for him.

There were traces of his blood on the blade of the knife as he flipped the knife in his hand so he was holding the blade and the handle of the knife was facing her, offering it back to her with a wicked smirk. He lend back in, grabbing her hand and placing it on the handle of the knife, letting the tip on the knife rest on his chest, holding her hand so she was forced to keep the knife’s point on him, so that the knife was the only thing keeping their bodies from touching. He kissed her again and his whole body felt hot and he lend into her causing the knife to dig into his skin, piercing it, but he didn’t release her hand, forcing her to keep the knife steady, before he pulled back resting his forehead against hers showing absolutely no signs of pain.

“Because none of your brother’s friends are going to hesitate.” He whispered and the comment was loaded, his words were meant as more than a warning. Because he knew she’d obviously been put in the situation more than once.

The statement was letting her know, he understood her, he wouldn’t step in to protect her now unless she asked. If she didn’t want his help, he’d leave it at that, because she was right, he’d barley just met her. The statement was also a warning to her, that if he got out of hand like had with her moments before, that she needed to protect herself, even if it meant hurting him. He smirked. Keeping his eyes on her hoping she’d caught the complexity of his statement, although it had been such a simple message.

Dahlia watched as he took a step towards her, and as much as she wanted to jump back and avoid him, she stayed where she was, almost allowing him to grab her wrist roughly, though this time, it wasn't as angry and threatening. He backed her into the tree again, ripping the breath from her lungs as he pinned her arms above her and leaned into her. She smirked at him wickedly as he suddenly pressed his lips to hers, lips hot.

His kisses moved slowly like they had on the beach, down her jaw and neck, teasing her and making her moan, despite herself and lean into him, wanting more as his hand slid under her shirt and roamed her skin. Finally, he brought his lips back to hers and kissed her desperately. She kissed him back just as needily, hating him for being able to make her so flushed and desperate, but unable to contain it.

Suddenly he released her and stepped away, and Dahlia had to swallow a whimper as she realized he was holding her knife, and watched as he smirked as her and pressed it against his neck. “You shouldn’t have hesitated.” He whispered as he slid the blade across his skin, bringing a line of blood to the surface.

He flipped the knife back around, holding it out to her, but she didn't take it, instead he took her hand and forced her to, placing the tip to his chest. She looked up at him, and bit her lip, the knife the only thing between them. He kissed her again, and she kissed him back, but then he leaned on the knife and she winced, trying to pull her hand away, hating herself for showing him that she didn't want to hurt him, but he held her hand tighter, holding her there.

Finally, he pulled his lips from hers and rested their foreheads together. “Because none of your brother’s friends are going to hesitate.” He whispered and she looked at him, searching his eyes for the meaning to his words. He wanted her to know he wasn't going to act like her savior anymore, but also something else. Something that made her heart race so fast and hard she was afraid he could hear it.

He wanted her to hurt him if she had to. And, not only was her heart pounding at the thought of hurting him, but the thought that she might have to. That he was dangerous enough that she might have to pull a knife on him. Dahlia managed to compose herself, forcing her face to relax, and her heart to stop racing as she pulled the knife from between them and put it back in her pocket.

"Don't worry." She said with a smirk. "I won't hesitate." She shook her head and grabbed his belt loops, pulling their bodies together again with a wicked grin, pressing her lips against his before letting her kisses trail his jaw and neck, and down his chest slowly, teasing him this time, before bringing them back to his lips briefly and then pushing him away with a taunting laugh, slipping away from him and heading back towards the beach.

“Listen ladies.” Kennedy said from behind him and stepped between the two of them with a smirk, making him roll his eyes. “It’s cute you two want to duke it out for me...but, it’s pointless really.” She smirked as she looked between the two of them. “You can beat the shit out of each other all you want to prove who’s more masculine or who fucks me best, but in the end
I still won't belong to either of you.” She said honestly and he scoffed and rolled his eyes.

He was about to shoot some sarcastic joke at her when she grabbed him and pulled him to her lips, kissing him. It was a deep kiss that made him smirk, but he kissed her back and felt her leaning into him with her body, making it clear that she was more than enjoying it. She wanted more. He was about to yank her all the way to him and away from Austen, when she suddenly pulled away and turned to kiss Austen just as she'd kissed him, only, as he watched her, he knew it wasn't the same. The kiss was shorter for one thing, and she didn't lean into him the way she'd leaned into Nathan.

“Wow Kenna, two guys at once I don’t even think I’m that big of a skank.” Brandy said as she came up, spotting them and Kenna just shrugged and released the two of them. “Looks like one of them has you all hot bothered.” Brandy said as she glanced between them and Nathan knew it was him that had made her so flush. He could feel it when she'd kissed him, and he gave her a satisfied smirk. She may be messing with the two of them, but it was clear she enjoyed him more than Austen.

“What can I say
I’m just one big messed up mistake.” Kennedy said, making his eyes flick to her suddenly, recognizing her mother's words, and not exactly happy about the fact that she seemed to be believing them.

Before he could say anything though, she stalked off and went to her room, slamming the door. He raised his eyebrows, glancing between Brandy and Austen before shrugging and heading after Kennedy, knowing she wouldn't want him to, but not really caring. If he wanted to do something, he did it, that's just how he was.

He reached her room and twisted the handle to find it wasn't locked and slipped in without knocking, knowing that she'd probably only yell at him to go away if he did. He closed the door behind him and leaned on it, looking her over for a moment as he crossed his arms over his chest and lit a cigarette. "You shouldn't let your mother get to you like that. He said with a shrug as he let out a breath of smoke and looked at her.

She heard the door open, but she didn’t move or react. She didn’t have to look to know it was him. Austen would have started yelling at her, crawled in bed with her and it would have ended the same way it had the night before, with her waking up next to him.

"You shouldn't let your mother get to you like that.“ she heard him say and she winced irritated, though the drugs in her system keeping her calm.

She sat up slowly, the drugs starting to affect her body, everything around her moving in slow motion and she struggled to keep herself sitting up right. It was quite beside the music for a moment as she looked at him trying to focus on something to keep the room from spinning, before she spoke.

“Let’s not do this alright.” She said not bothering to get up knowing she wouldn’t be able to stand “What we have right now
it’s good.” She said closing her eyes hoping it would make the room stop spinning. “What you’re doing is called getting attached
telling me what I shouldn’t believe, because you feel sorry for me.” She sighed opening her eyes again taking a drink from the whisky bottle. “Just don’t
I don’t do well with attachments
and apparently neither do you.” She said and if she wasn’t intoxicated it would have been harsher. “I’m not asking about your dad
don’t try and make me feel better for what my mother says
she’s my problem, sweetie.” She said before laying back down with a sigh.

"Don't worry." She said with a smirk. "I won't hesitate."

He was grateful when she seemed to understand what he was say, a he let out a silent sigh relived. He’d never in his life warned a girl how dangerous he actually was or gave her permission to hurt him. But, he had a feeling that their relationship wouldn’t be as casual as any of his other relationships would be and he knew as much as he didn’t want to admit it, he wouldn’t be able to leave her as easily as he pretended he could.

He was brought from his thoughts when she pulled him close, he wrapped an arm around her waist closing any empty space between them as she brought her lips to his. Her kisses traveled along his jawline before returning back to his lips, before pushing him away and sauntering off back towards the house, he let out a amused laugh as h followed suit making his way back to the house.

He debated on whether or not to follow her, but more than anything he wanted to be kissing her again. He caught up to her quickly, before she made her way around the front of the house, grabbing her wrist and forcing her against the side of the house kissing her deeply, slipping her tongue into her mouth smoothly as he pinned her against the side of the house leaning his body into hers, before pulling away with a wicked smirk.

“Done playing already babe?” he whispered playfully.

Dahlia smirked when he followed her, but didn't turn around, just kept walking until he caught up with her and grabbed her wrist.

She laughed as he whirled her around and pushed her back against the house, kissing her lips and slipping his tongue in her mouth. She smirked against his lips and kissed him back, running her hands down his chest as he leaned into her before pulling himself away and smirking at her. "Done playing already babe?" He whispered and she chuckled.

"I'm never done playing." She whispered back with a wicked grin. "How many times do I have to tell you not to call me babe?" She laughed, spinning him so that he was the one pinned to the house and leaning her body against his.

She smirked, eyes on his, and ran her hands down his chest, her fingers tracing the waistline of his jeans gently, before she finally leaned in and kissed him again roughly. It felt impossibly good to kiss him. Even Tristin, the only guy that had ever meant anything to her didn't kiss her like he did. She moaned into his lips and pressed her body tighter to his as her hands roamed his skin and her lips trailed his jaw and neck.

"Dahlia!" She heard Tristin call her name in the distance, clearly looking for her and she rolled her eyes.

"How many times are we going to be interrupted tonight?" She smirked, but didn't stop kissing him, ignoring Tristin's calls, hoping he simply wouldn't find them, or some slut would distract him.

Nathan watched her sit up, and he could tell she'd taken something just by the way her eyes looked and he raised his eyebrows, spotting the pill bottle, wondering what she'd taken. “Let’s not do this alright.” She and he listened, taking another drag off his cigarette. “What we have right now
it’s good. What you’re doing is called getting attached
Telling me what I shouldn't believe, because you feel sorry for me.” He watched her sigh as she took a drink from her bottle. “Just don’t
I don’t do well with attachments
and apparently neither do you. I’m not asking about your dad
don’t try and make me feel better for what my mother says
she’s my problem, sweetie."

Nathan just shrugged as she layed back down and let out a puff of smoke, not answering right away. "I'm not getting attached." He said, watching her, though he knew it wasn't the truth. After everything he'd just witnessed, and their day together, he wasn't sure how not to get attached. However, getting attached wasn't really a problem. He could still break away from her if he needed to by skipping towns or simply dumping Jack as a friend.

"I'm being a decent person for once." He smirked lightly. "If you don't want to say anything about your mother, whatever, it's not my business I guess, but she's not just your problem anymore." He looked at her. "Just as my dad is your problem because he could hurt your sister, your mom is my problem because she could hurt mine."

He shrugged and grabbed the handle of the door behind him, looking at her with a casual smirk. "I can leave if you want." He said as he took another drag off his cigarette. "Maybe I'll go find Brandy."

"I'm not getting attached." he finally said after a long moment, she didn’t bother to look up at him she simply kept her arm thrown over her eyes pretending not to pay attention to him "I'm being a decent person for once. If you don't want to say anything about your mother, whatever, it's not my business I guess, but she's not just your problem anymore." she sighed hating the fact that he was right "Just as my dad is your problem because he could hurt your sister, your mom is my problem because she could hurt mine." she still didn’t look at him as she lifted the bottle to her lips taking another drink.

She was irritated with the fact that he was right and she couldn’t argue with him, she was even more pissed off for not being able to think of anything but his kiss and the way it felt when he held her. If anyone was getting attached she had a bad feeling that it wasn’t him, it was her.

"I can leave if you want." he said finally causing her to drop her arm from her face and turn her head to the side looking at him. "Maybe I'll go find Brandy." she scoffed at the mention of Brandy, feeling a stab of jealousy.

“Fuck you.” She spat “go ahead see if I care.” She mumbled “She’d love to rub it in my face you left me for her.” She said to drunk and high to realize the way she’d worded it like they were dating. “In the end Nate, you’re going to do what you want.” She smirked sitting back up “Maybe I’ll just have to find Austen and beg him to forgive me.” She said playing the same game as him.

He could feel himself coming down from his dangerous high and that was probably the reason for his mood slowly returning to normal. He smirked when she chucked, keeping her pinned to the house.

"I'm never done playing. How many times do I have to tell you not to call me babe? he smirked playfully.

He let out and amused laugh, letting her reverse the control role, she spun him around pinning him to the wall and while he could easily, reverse them again or break out of her pin, he didn’t bother. She kept her eyes on his as she ran her fingers down her chest forcing him to fight back a shiver as she traced his waistline, before placing her lips to his roughly and he smirked against her lips kissing her back just as roughly.

He pulled pull one of the arms she was pinning away wrapping it around her waist as she moaned against his lips, causing him to kiss her deeper, before she broke their kiss to move her hot kisses along his jawline and down his neck, his breathing heavy and his heart speed up the farther down his neck she went.

"Dahlia!" he heard and pulled away for a moment already knowing who it was, though he was less dangerous and he wasn’t as willing to leave her side to fight him.

"How many times are we going to be interrupted tonight?" he heard D and glanced down to her matching her smirk as they continued to kiss, not bothering to stop for Tristan.

Keegan heard someone round the corner and the footsteps stopped, but he didn’t stop to see who it was, Dahlia’s lips were so addictive. His hands moved under her shirt, as he pulled her to him, closing the last sliver of space that had been between them for a few moments, finally when he felt them being watched he will himself to pull away glancing at the figure that watched them, he felt his fist clench, and his body tense.

“Hey ass hole, you wanna fuck off.” He said in a warning tone.

Dahlia could feel his heart racing, and knew hers was beating just as quickly. Someone came around behind them and stopped, but it was clear that Keegan wasn't bothered by it, at least not at first, because his hands slipped up under her shirt, making her smile against his lips as he pulled her closer to him.

However, she could feel someone's eyes on her back, and Keegan finally pulled away from her and she felt his body tense up. She smirked and turned her head to see someone standing there, though they were in the shadows.

"Hey, asshole, you wanna fuck off." He spat, and Dahlia watched as the person stepped forward and grabbed her wrist, yanking her away from Keegan.

"Tristin! Get the hell out of-" She started, but she cut herself off when, instead of coming face-to-face with Tristin, like she'd been expecting, it was Jack. "What do you want?" She spat as she yanked her wrist from his hand, causing him to lash out quickly and smack her hard across the face, whipping her head to the side.

"I heard you scared off my friend." He growled bitterly before glaring at Keegan. "Is he going to be a problem Dahlia?" He asked, turning his eyes back to her.

"Just go away Jack." She said, rolling her eyes and taking a step back. She watched as he pulled his shirt up a little, flashing the guns in the waistline of his jeans before dropping it again and grinning at her wickedly, pulling her close roughly.

"If he's a problem, I'll shoot him in his sleep. Then I'll get your stupid friend. She really pisses me off." He whispered in her ear so that only she could hear before pulling back and smirking at her and Keegan. "You two kids have fun, I have some shit to deal with." He said with a laugh before jogging off into the dark.

Dahlia turned back to Keegan, upset that he'd had to see that, but he already knew the way Jack treated her. "I'm tired." She lied, looking away suddenly and taking a step back. It wasn't true. She was wide awake after kissing him, and there was nothing more she wanted to do than continue, but Jack's threats had shaken her, and she didn't want him to carry them out. "Maybe we should call it a night."

“Fuck you.” She spat and Nate smirked, liking the jealousy in her voice. “Go ahead see if I care.” She mumbled but he knew she did. “She’d love to rub it in my face you left me for her. In the end Nate, you’re going to do what you want.” She smirked as she sat up again. “Maybe I’ll just have to find Austen and beg him to forgive me.”

Nathan laughed and rolled his eyes, releasing the doorknob. "Seeing as neither of us really want to do those things..." He said with a smirk, eyes on her. "Maybe I should just stay here."

He walked over and sat next to her on the bed, pulling her into his lap and kissing her lips, one hand on the back of her neck, holding her in the kiss, the other wrapped tightly around her waist, pulling her closer, holding her body to his.

She smirked when his hand feel from the door knobbed though on the inside, she wished he’d left at least then she’d have known he wasn’t felling the same way she was, but the fact that he’d chose to stay with her, just confirmed her suspension, that the both of them were going to get attached, they’d already started to get attached. But she chose not to think about it.

"Seeing as neither of us really want to do those things. Maybe I should just stay here." he said and she bit her lip as he came and sat next to her, pulling her into his lap.

He kissed her and she couldn’t remember a time in her life where it had felt so good to just sit in a guy’s lap and kiss him. She kissed him back moaning against his lips, before pulling away and wincing in pain. She sighed glancing up at him.

“I’m sorry.” She said crawling out of his lap “I really should go to bed.” She closed her eyes fighting the urge to groan in pain, it was obvious she was having a rough time breathing, but she hopped he wouldn’t notice. “I could use someone to cuddle with though.” She smirked, trying to ignore the pain in her chest.

Keegan’s whole body trembled with rag when jack ripped her away from him and it took every bit of restraint in his entire being to keep himself from lashing out at Jack, he’d promised Dahlia he wouldn’t get into her business unless she asked for his help.

Another surge of rage ran through his body and he clenched his jaw so tight, he thought he’d break his teeth. He had to block out the conversation, he was two seconds from breaking his promise to Dahlia and beating his face in. He scoffed as he flashed his guns, not scared at all, he could care less about the guns, in fact he could probably disarm him faster than he could process what was going on.

"If he's a problem, I'll shoot him in his sleep. Then I'll get your stupid friend. She really pisses me off." he whispered and he caught it, every word of it although he knew Jack had meant for only her two hear it. "You two kids have fun, I have some shit to deal with." By the time Jack had jogged away, Keegan’s whole body was tensed, his fist clenched so tight his knuckles had turned a ghostly white.

"I'm tired. Maybe we should call it a night." he glanced to her, though tension still clear in his body. He swallowed his anger, the only reason he’d been able to contain himself was because he was now almost completely sober, had Jack approached them an hour ago, he have been dad.

“Dahlia.” He spoke, anger stil clear in his voice, he was unable to hide it “You don’t want me to fight for you
I won’t my word is good, I promise you that.” He said keeping his eyes on her “But when he threats Kennedy, It’s no longer about you.” He said making it clear if Jack touched his sister he’d kill him. “And your right, we should probably call it a night.” He said walking past her in the direction of his hamak.

“Dahlia.” Keegan said, voice filled with anger. “You don’t want me to fight for you
I won’t my word is good, I promise you that.” He said and she could feel his eyes on her, though she kept hers down. “But when he threats Kennedy, It’s no longer about you.” He said and that made her eyes snap up. He'd heard that? “And you're right, we should probably call it a night.”

Dahl watched as he walked past her and went for his hammock, biting her lip hard to keep from calling him back to her. She'd pushed him away by giving into Jack so easily, she knew that, so she simply sighed and turned away from him, heading around to the front of the house.

However, she wasn't tired. She was no where near tired. Her whole body aced from being tossed around by Jack, his friend, and Keegan, but sleep was the last thing she wanted. In the front of the house, she sat down on the swing and placed her hands between her knees, thinking for a bit about how simple her life would be if her past would stop following her around like a rain cloud determined to dump on her parade every time she was feeling even remotely okay.

"D? Are you okay?" Dahlia was pulled from her thoughts by Tristin's voice, who was standing with one foot on the porch steps, looking up at her tentatively, like wasn't sure if he should approach, though there was shock on his face, and she furrowed her brows in confusion before she realized her face was wet.

She'd been crying. She realized she hadn't cried since she was back in New York, and he certainly hadn't seen her cry since they were kids. She cursed and wiped her cheeks before smiling at him, letting him know he was forgiven for the time-being. "Yeah I'm good." She said, rolling her eyes. "Man, get drunk enough and you'll just bawl at anything." She laughed it off, though she knew he knew that wasn't true.

So, in order to stop him from asking questions, she just grabbed his hand and pulled him into the house and into her room. She went to her window and dropped a tapestry over it so Keegan couldn't see from his hammock outside, before pulling Tristin down on the bed with her. "Just fuck me until we fall asleep." She whispered with a smirk as she kissed him, and she was glad when, for once, he didn't ask any questions and just did what she said. It was nothing like Keegan, but it made her tired enough that she finally fell asleep.

Nate was glad when she didn't push him away and just kissed him back, moaning into him and it felt good. Too good, he knew, but he didn't care. She pulled back though, and he saw a flash of pain come over her, like outside, and he looked her over confused. He wasn't hurting her, he was holding her tightly, but not so tightly she'd pull away in pain, so he didn't understand what was wrong.

“I’m sorry.” She said as she crawled away from him and he sighed. “I really should go to bed.” He watched her close her eyes, and the way her chest heaved, like she was struggling to breathe, and he looked at her, concerned. “I could use someone to cuddle with though.”

Nathan sighed and smirked back, crawling into the bed next to her and pulling her close to him, wrapping his arms around her. It wasn't usually something he did, just holding a girl, but he couldn't believe how good it felt to just lay there and hold her in his arms. He wasn't even touching her or kissing her, and his whole body felt like it was on fire.

"Kenna?" He whispered, holding her a little tighter as he layed there, looking at her. "You don't have to answer me, but, what's wrong?" He asked, figuring she probably wouldn't answer, but giving it a shot.

Kennedy was thankful that he’d agreed to just lay with her, he wrapped an arm around her pulling her close and she smiled at the gesture. It felt good in his arms, she wasn’t sure she’d be able to say that about anyone else. She pulled the blanket over the both of them getting comfortable, closing her eyes for the night.

"Kenna?" He whispered and the way he’d said it made her shiver, she hadn’t been expecting him to say her name. "You don't have to answer me, but, what's wrong?" she kept her eyes closed sighing.

She know he was going to ask sooner or later she wanted to tell him, but she wasn’t sure she could trust him to still treat her normally or to keep it a secret. She’d never told anyone, Dahlia only knew she’d had heart surgery, she wasn’t actually aware of how bad he condition was and Keegan knew too much even for being her brother. It was quite for a moment as she debated on what she’d say, before she finally spoke.

“It’s complicated.” She said softly “A complication you don’t need in your life
trust me.” She sighed and it was a warning, reminding him not to get attached to her, in all honesty she’d rather her be the one to get attached then him. “Now if your done questioning me
I believe I asked for you to cuddle not to talk.” She teased, before closing her eyes, falling asleep quicker than she’d thought she would.
---
For the first time since her father was alive she’d actually slept, a deep, dreamless sleep. She didn’t wake up, she didn’t toss and turn, she’d slept through the entire night. He she opened her eyes surprisingly not as hungover as she should have been, the pain in her chest had completely gone away and she was actually well rested. She was laying on his chest and she wasn’t planning on moving at least not until he was awake. She glanced up at him as if trying to figure him out.

“What is it with you?” She whispered, as if he could hear her. Wonder why he was so different from every other guy she’d ever been with.

She lend in kissing his lips softly before laying back down on his chest closing her eyes and taking in the moment, she was completely sober, which was an odd feeling for her. She glanced to the clock and her eyebrows knitted in confusion at the fact she’d actually slept in and people who were familiar with her or knew he would probably think she was dead considering she wasn’t awake yet, nor was her morning mix playing, the house was quiet.

Keegan had watched Dahlia bring someone else into the room before drawing the curtains, so that he couldn’t see. He sighed, too tired to be anger, the wounds from fighting, the emotional roller-coaster he’d had with Dahlia in just one day, and everything else on top of that, not to mention his high from the drugs and her kiss was now just a crash. He sighed finally letting himself fall asleep, having to shut off his mind.
---

He felt someone nudge him hard and he squinted his eyes, the sun beating down on him. Whoever it was though I’d be funny to flip him and he hit the hard ground with a loud thud. He groaned miserably, mostly from his hangover.

“What the fuck?” he coughed, his mouth dry from the drugs.

“Exactly what I was think
what the fuck?” the voice was familiar to him, yet he couldn’t exactly place it and the sun blinded the persons face.

He stumbled to his feet, before meeting eyes with an old friend from high school and he smirked. Unlike Lilo and Kennedy, he hadn’t stayed in contact with his friend, mostly because he’d gotten him into some deep shit when they’d hung out.

“Hale.” Keegan smirked punching him in the stomach.

“Callaway, the fuck. Lilo called me this morning told me your lame ass was back in town.” Keegan shrugged.

“You know if I wanted to get arrested I’d call you.” He said sarcastically, Kai rolled his eyes.

“Whatever, I’ve been keeping tabs on your sister and her friend for you. Jacks one of my biggest customers.” Keegan rolled his eyes.

“Stay the hell away from them.” He joked although he meant it.

Kai was the son of one of the most notorious drug lords in Hawaii, how Keegan had become friends with him, he wasn’t entirely sure. He wasn’t even sure if he could call him a friend. He just knew it wasn’t smart to make him an enemy.

Dahlia's dreams were filled with fitful nightmares of her life in New York. Of her mother and father, but mostly of Jack. Her father had been awful, and her mother negligent, but Jack seemed to always be the very center of her nightmares, because, Dahlia had been able to stand up and deal with her mother and father. She'd killed her father and emancipated herself from her mother. However, Jack had followed her, and she was unable to shake him.

"Dahlia, come on baby, wake up." She felt someone nudging her arm and she woke with a sudden start, gasping for air, realizing tears were running down her face. Quickly, Tristin gathered her to him, and placed a kiss on her head. "You're fine." He whispered soothingly, and, with anyone else, she would have pushed them away and yelled at them for babying her, not wanting them to see her with tears on her cheeks.

However, Tristin was different. Tristin had been dealing with her bad dreams since they were kids. They'd woken up just like this all the time since she was about thirteen, so she didn't bother yelling at him because she knew it was useless, just sighed and closed her eyes as she shook off the dream and composed herself.

"Yeah, I am." She finally said before sitting up and stretching herself out, pretending to ignore his eyes watching her. She shouldn't have slept with him, but then again, there was a whole list of things she shouldn't do that she always did anyway.

So she just sighed and leaned over him, placing a small kiss on his lips before standing and grabbing her bikini bottoms and his shirt off the floor, slipping them on. She tossed him his jeans and he slipped them on, sitting up at the edge of her bed, watching her as she went to the window and pulled back the tapestry, letting the sun blind her.

Outside, she saw Keegan and a man she'd seen with Jack a couple of times, and was immediately suspicious. Anyone who hung around Jack, she considered an enemy. Only, Keegan seemed to be chatting with him like they were friends.

She pulled away from the window, realizing something strange. "What?" Tristin asked her, seeing the look on her face, and she tilted her head to the side, glancing at the clock.

"Either Kennedy died or that clock is seriously wrong." She said, realizing the house was silent and she was awake before her friend. Something that never happened. Tristin scoffed and rolled his eyes and she went to the door and out into the living room. "Well hell, she must have died." She said, as Tristin came up behind her and placed his hands on her hips, kissing her neck, not really paying attention.

She rolled her eyes and shrugged him off. The living room was still filled with knocked out party goers, and it was usually Kenna's job to clean out the house while Dahlia took the beach. She chuckled and went to the stereo, popping in the usual morning mix before glancing at Tristin. "Wake all these people up and make them leave." She told him with a smirk. "I've got the beach." She said as she slipped out of the house through the back door and went down the path towards the beach.

Nathan felt her stirring on him, but didn't wake up right away. He could hear her voice, but couldn't really tell what she was saying, he was still half in the world of sleep.

Then she placed her lips on his and he was suddenly pulled out of sleep and into consciousness with her kiss. He smiled and blinked his eyes open as she layed her head gently on his chest and closed her eyes.

He rubbed her back gently. "Well good morning." He said with a chuckle, voice thick with sleep. "I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've slept with a girl, and we didn't have sex." He stated honestly, looking down at her. It was weird how peacefully he'd slept with her. Usually he woke up five or six times and had to walk around and do something before he could fall back asleep, but with her, he'd slept straight through the night.

He sighed and sat up a little, leaning his head against the wall, though not enough to disturb her too badly. He had a minor headache, but he was fairly certain the damage should be worse, considering how much he'd taken the night before.
