Sure there was Bailey, but she was more Jonah's friend than her's. With a sigh she glanced over at Jonah as they stood on the outside of the fenced in building. "Are you ready to get back to our old lives? At least what's left of it anyway...," the female slid her hands into her shorts pockets and glanced down the road, hoping that she would see Bailey pulling up to them. "Thought you said Bailey would be here when we got out?" Natalie was excited that she was finally able to go back home but first they needed to be picked up before that was able to happen. Sure walking was an option, but there was no way in hell Natalie was going to walk twenty miles to get home. That was the last thing she wanted to do in this heat. Speaking of, she felt a bit of sweat beginning to bead up upon her forehead, causing her to reach up to her forehead and she wiped it off.

When his sister spoke up beside him, Jonah tore his gaze from the sky and glanced down at his little sister, a small, loving smile tugging on his lips. "Don't worry too much Talie, I'm sure thing's are going to start looking up now." He said with a nod of his head. He was sure, nothing could be worse than the last few years they'd spent locked up. "Bailey said she would be here. I'm sure she's just running late." He said, glancing up and down the road once more, looking for his friend's car.
After waiting a few more moments, Jonah stuck his hands in his pockets and pulled out the few dollars he'd had on him when they'd first gotten locked up. When they were released, they were given back all their belongings they'd had when they went into the detention center, and he was pleasantly surprised to see that the money was still there. "Why don't we grab a bite to eat while we wait." He offered, draping an arm around his sister's shoulders, nodding to a small diner a little way down the street. "I can't wait to have some decent food."

Natalie glanced down at her purse and unzipped it before pulling her wallet out. She looked in her wallet to find that she had twenty dollars and nodded her head at Jonah's suggestion. "Okay. Let's go," she responded with a smile. Not only was she happy she was going to get some food that didn't look like some sort of Halloween surprise, but she was going to be somewhere other than the juvenile detention.
Natalie began to walk down the road towards the diner Jonah pointed out just a few feet away. At this point she hadn't realized how hungry she really was because she decided to skip out on breakfast this morning, figuring that she would get a chance to eat some real food today. Natalie's stomach growled and she let out a soft laugh to herself as she continued to walk. "You should let her know that we'll be at the diner so she doesn't freak out that we're not at the detention center," Natalie inquired.

It felt weird knowing that she was going to see her best friend again, after all the crazy things that happened. She had changed so much and she was sure he had too. Physically she was more like a woman and less like the little girl she had been when they where separated, and she had a few new tattoos to show. Mentally she was a totally different person, closed off, selfish, adventurous, secretive. Shaking her head and taking a deep breath she finally turned the key, started her car, and drove away.
The drive there wasn't long; it was still early and there wasn't much traffic on the streets to slow down her journey. She played music out of her phone, had a couple of cigarettes, and a can of Red Bull to wake up properly. Slowing down her car, she spotted the fenced building and drove closer to the sidewalk. She could see some people walking outside but couldn't spot the pair of siblings. Deciding it was better to park somewhere else and give them a call, she quickly drove to the small dinner down the street and parked her car there.
She got out swiftly, took out another cigarette, lit it and dialed Jonah's phone number, waiting for him to pick up and tell her where they were.

Jonah smiled when Talie agreed to grab a bite to eat. He walked along beside his sister, his hands shoved into his pockets as they made their way toward the diner. When Natalia suggested he call Bailey to let her know that they were going to be at the diner, he nodded his head. "Yeah, I should." He said, just as his phone started to ring. He pulled it out of his pocket as they reached the front door of the diner, seeing Bailey's name flash across the screen.
"Hey, Bailey. Talie and I decided to grab a bite to eat." He said into the phone as they walked into the building, glancing around for an empty table, not having noticed Bailey waiting by her car, it had been a while since he'd seen his friend and wasn't entirely sure what she looked like anymore. "Have you had breakfast yet? You should join us. There's a small diner just down the road from the," He trialed off, not wanting to say 'juvie' or 'detention center'. "We're inside already if you feel like eating." He added as he picked up the menu and glanced it over, trying to decide what to eat. Everything looked good, but of course anything would look to him right now.

She ran her hands through her hair, smoothed out her light sweater, and pulled her chin up to appear more confident, just as she'd learned. A quiet bell rang when she opened the door to the dinner, and she scanned the place quickly to sit with the siblings as soon as she could. Almost immediately she spotted Natalie, as gorgeous as ever, and surprisingly more of a woman than Bailey could remember. And the guy sitting in front of her, giving his back to her must've been Jonah. From behind he didn't look so different, just buffer and taller, but what she was going to see from up front was what scared her.
Taking a deep breath and putting her sunglasses on top of her head, she walked to their table and smirked cunningly, "Well, well well, look who we got here. The Devita siblings, long time no see," she said, crossing her arms in front of her chest and looking down at the pair. "Missed me?"
