Background:
Aadrin Corita is the cousin to Shikaku, and grew up with him after the Nine Tailed Fox killed his parents thirteen years ago. The two are like brothers. However, Aadrin still secretly holds the scars of that loss, not letting anyone see them however. Instead, he prefers to keep up a laidback, joking attitude. He went through the chunin exams and passed his first time around, and has so far had a number of successful missions.

However, during one mission, he lost his entire squad due to an ambush. It had been a setup by a group of rival ninja. They managed to defeat them, but he was the only one who survived the encounter. After that, he vowed that he would never lose anyone else, even if it meant sacrificing his own life. And he plans to hold this same vow to his new team of Genin. It also drove him to learn medical ninjutsu.

"So, this is my squad" Aadrin said to himself. He had to admit, he was not expecting this group combination. He had an Aburame, a Ninja with a strength in Taijutsu, and someone who aspired to specialize in Medical Ninjutsu much like himself. This would be an interesting bunch, that was for sure.

He was just heading to go meet his squad and then take them out for a mission. Some D rank mission, best to start it off nice and easy. They had to go and guard some tunnel digger and make a new, more direct road through the mountains. This road would have noticably less ambush spots, and hopefully would be a relatively peaceful. Then again, when was anything that simple?

As he walked towards the road, he could not help but remember his old team, and his parents. "Never again....I won't lose anyone else..." He remembered the mission where he lost his squad like it was yesterday. It still haunted him, though he never let that show. Besides, he had something far more important tp focus on.

His new team.

Sis, its 07:30 in the morning, do you really need to read the morning paper while we eat? asked the slightly taller youth as he ate appreciatively his breakfast; consisting of steamed rice, miso soup and boiled fish, courtesy of the clan's main house resident cook.

The young teenage girl glared at her sibling for a moment and turned over the newspapers page with a mischievous smile despite having not finished the column she had been reading. Her Kami appointed task to exasperate her brother, even too the very gates of heaven was worth the loss of a somewhat mediocre opinion on village council seating arrangements.

The twin heirs of the Fujimori clan shared surprisingly little in appearance. Sasuke, the boy and clan heir was the spitting image of their father at that age, boasting a finely cut brown hair, a skinny frame and and the puzzling Fujimori attitude; an almost Hyuga like pride and tradition combined with a Nara's laid aback attitude. Mito took after her mother, a ninja just like herself before her untimely death. The child's blond hair and physically favorable build hinted of the outside sources which had brought it about. In particular, the clan's Sanju-Yamanaka linage which had sprung many roots across the village since the earliest days of Konoha. Both siblings shared the forest green Fujimori eyes, said by the clan's elders to be the clan's mark of loyalty to the leaf.

Bored with her paper, Mito finally brought it down with an unsatisfied sigh.

"The Uchiha clan really need to stop taking everything so personally, no one intended for Fukagu-sama's chair to be a few inches behind Lord Hyuga. Even in politics, innocent mistakes do happen". Said Mito irritably, somewhat put off by the fact that the papers where still dealing with the newest Hyuga-Uchiha 'crisis' three days after the ridiculous honor feud had started.

Sauske snorted in reaction, a somewhat uncharismatic gesture for her dear brother who had been carefully groomed to match both those clans in the daily village bravado contest.

"Sweet naive little sister, there are no innocent mistakes in politics. The meeting did occur after all in Master Danzō Shimura's own residence, that man would not allow a fly out of place, let alone such vital matters of state".

"Those are just freaking seating arrangements, we are not discussing the nomination of the next Hokage here!". Said Mito, outraged at the childish behavior of what where supposed to be the leaders of the most prestigious clans of Konoha.

Sauske grabbed hold of the newspaper and scrolled through the headlines in an attempt to figure out exactly what report had boiled his sister's temper so early in the morning. "Actually, that is exactly what they are discussing at the moment. The Third is an old man, and it won't be long before the council forces hm to make room for a successor. The Uchiha want to finally get one of their own on the seat but Danzo and the Hyuga won't stand for it. Small petty insults such as these are as much a part of the grand game as political assassinations".

"Maybe you are right, but it does not change the fact that the Uchiha attitude could stand improvement. They might want to start by taking that mighty fine stick out of their collective backsides".

Sauske's eyes visibly twitched from his sister's open use of profanity, an act she would not have dared had their father been present. A small smile forming on his lips, the elder brother knew exactly how to put his sister on the spot.

"You would be wise to learn to tolerate the Uchiha attitude sweet sister, father and Uchiha Sama have been discussing the possibility of an arranged marriage between our clans to cement our alliance in the future".

An immediate understanding of her siblings meaning escaped Mito as she pondered wider political implications.

"That would make sense, it will take generations to create a new Shinobi branch family so we must have strong allies.... WHAT!?". Screamed Mito in realization, spilling all of her tea as she stood up.

"Just clan politics dear sweet sister..." Started Sauske, he didn't get a chance to end his words as an all too familiar fist collided with his cheeky little jaw.

Konoha Forest - 08:22

Kunai and shuriken littered the ground around Mito's favorite target tree for the day, though some had missed the paper target strapped to the the bark, they did so only because the target was already covered from top to bottom with the sharpened weapons. Mito, in her rush to get her anger out of her system didn't bother to change the targets. Getting her emotions under control Mito convinced herself that her brother had been pulling her leg, but the nagging doubting voice at the back of her head did not go away, just as her 'dear sweet older brother' had intended.

"That BASTARD!". Shouted Mito, unaware that she was in the company of others.

A smile. "Bato!"
A blush. "Forever... right?"
A kiss upon the cheek. "D-Don't tell anyone... okay?"
A red corpse. Silence.
A scream. "AAAAAHHHH!!!"

A loud gasp escaped the tan-skinned boy as he shot upright in his bed. That dream again... that memory. That nightmare. Every night, her memory haunted him. A dark reminder of his past. It figured that today the dream would have been so vivid, as if reminding him of why he was sitting here in this dusty Konoha apartment. A quick glance out the window revealed that it was still night, the sun not yet gracing the sky with its glow. With a deep sigh, the boy lifted his blanket to wipe the sweat from his brow and kicked the covers off. Swerving his legs over the edge, he threw his face into his hands and tried to regulate his breathing. "I know, already..." He scolded his dream before fumbling around in the darkness for his trademarked red-orange tanktop. Once he donned that, he kicked around the floor until he found his shorts and his new headband, hanging the headband around his neck like a necklace almost. He wasn't going to get back to sleep tonight at this rate, though a glance at his clock showed that it would be dawn in about an hour or so.

Calmly opening his door and locking it behind him, he made his way to what he referred to as the Usual Spot. It wasn't even anything. Just a small spot outside of the village in the forest clearing where and his friend would stare at clouds when she was upset. There was nothing there but the grass, the trees and the sky. And under the cover of night and the silence of the hour, he made it out with no real troubles. Not that there would be any, but some of the Leaf's higher-ups remained skeptical of his presence in their village. It was a real drag to him, but he had to put up with it. Once arriving in the clearing, he fell onto his back and sprawled his arms and legs out, like one might do while making a snow angel. Only now did he realize that he'd forgotten his sandals... again. He never really remembered those if he wasn't heading out to the Academy or to do what shopping or odd jobs he could. He sighed, kicking off imaginary sandals and fixed his eyes upon a cloud. "Hanako... I'm on my way." As he said this, his headband seemed to weigh that much more heavy on his chest... Would she be proud, he wondered? Or ashamed?

Before he had realized it, his eyes closed again to bring on a dreamless sleep. It was a surprise to him when the sun rudely awakened him with harsh beams over his eyes. Shielding them instinctively as he stirred, he rolled over and let himself wake up a little. Today they were supposed to meet their new Sensei... Yeah. That was definitely right.

"What a drag... but alright."

His body rose to its feet and prepared to set off before he heard the sounds of metal clanging around, sticking in to trees. He knew who it could have been... He'd been around her long enough to know the way her blood pumped when she was worked up. "Guess I'd better go get her... Knowing her, she forgot in the heat of a moment, too." His voice, despite its bored tone, had a hint of amusement to it. Pushing his black hair into place, he leapt into the woods to find his companion. Sure enough, he stumbled upon her quickly. Mito Fujimori. A noble in this village, and his lone friend. How annoying she was when they first met... But she stuck to him like glue and he learned to enjoy her company, however awful he was in being around people. "Mito-chan." He greeted her by name and no formality other than an honorific, not bothering with a hello or anything of the sort. Taking a moment to examine the tree, he could see it was almost covered on one side in ninja tools... followed by her exclamation of "THAT BASTARD!"

With a soft sigh, he moved himself in front of her and gave a light wave, not looking her in the eye. "Sauske-san, I guess?" It'd be obvious enough at this point in their friendship that he didn't need an answer. "Come with me back to my house... I fell asleep out here and forgot my things. We have a mission and meeting with Sensei today." He came across as blunt and cold, but Mito Fujimori would understand it's just how he was. He wasn't trying to be rude or insensitive at all.

Kazuki sat on a small boulder that resided strangely in the middle of large pond in the forest. Kazuki had been going over scenarios about fighting against all types techniques. He theorized as he performed Insect cocoon as he rapidly increased the number of kikaichu within his body. He could sense the number increasing and he suddenly sent the huge swarm at his large gourd with such force that it was push away from its position and before it could fall the swarm wrapped itself around the gourd and righted it once more.

His breathing was controlled but the problem was he still couldn't hold the Insect Cocoon technique while attacking. Everything was a test for himself. It was known that the insect Cocoon jutsu required the user to be still and concentrate. But Kazuki knew if he could continuously produce the kikaichu during combat not he could amass huge enough number to take down many individuals at once.

His answer was neither quality or quantity but both. It would have to be both due to the number of high level jutsus and their destructive power that others possessed. He would find a way past all of them Each element, speed, skill, strength, strategy, etc... All of these things were something he would have to overcome.

It was this quantity that allowed Kazuki not only to train his insects but also multitask having his insects spread through a large area of the forest and let his bugs keep an eye out for any noticeable chakras that come into the area. He even made sure that it fluctuated so that he wasn't always in the center of the swarm. That way it would be hard to determined his position.

Though it wasn't the insects that found the first sign of abnormality in the forest.

"That Bastard!" he heard.

"That voice," he sighed. It was then that the kikaichu informed him of the exact location and he learned there was someone else with her. The chakra was one that he had known before. The Kikaichu described and without another moment Kazuki moved away from them making sure they wouldn't meet. He was already going to have them in his team, but there was no need to hurry to that moment until they all met their new instructor.

With the gourd on his back he made his way to the meeting point, taking the long way around.

"You are not talking about me, right?" Sensei Corita asked Mito, having arrived silently behind her. "Cause, that would not be a great attitude to start out the team with" he added with a laugh.

As the others arrived as well, he could now see his new team up close. "Alright kids, my name is Aadrin Corita, and I will be your sensei. Now, lets hear a sound off, I need names, skills, likes, dislikes, goals, oh and yeah, favorite icecream flavor".

Aadrin could be very laidback sometimes, unless he needed to be serious. He prefered to have a positive, good relationship with his team members, so that they would like him better and he would be more easy for them to trust. He then looked at the mission at hand.

"Alright, it looks like our mission is to protect a tunnel digger and his crew so they can build a second road into and out of a small region, (Because that totally does not sound familiar) so I hope you got all your supplies ready, because we will be leaving shortly. Now, also, I need to know if anyone has any additional questions. Or has any fear of goats? Because there are a lot of goats where we are going".

He had to admit, this was going to be an interesting team for sure. It seemed that maybe some of them were a bit unstable, but hey, he was sure they would come around.

"Now, you know all those rules you learned in the academy? All worthless, forget them right now. There is one rule that is even more important then the "There are no rules" rule. You do not leave behind your comrades, or let them die. Your blood is their blood, and their blood is yours. You stick with your comrades, and help them out however you can. Understood?"

He hopped that they were at least partially listening when he said that.

Mito was momentarily startled by Bato's arrival at the forest clearing, so much so she almost threw an explosive kunai at him but stopped herself the moment she registered his voice.

"Bato! Don't sneak up on me like that!" Mito shouted, nervous and slightly winded from her intense weapons throwing practice. Before she charged headfirst into yet another agitated jaw punch, the teen realized she didn't have any right to blame Bato and had very nearly thrown a potentially lethal weapon at a fellow leaf ninja at point blank range.

Cleaning the sweat off her face with a small handkerchief she kept handy for training, Mito stammered as she apologized to her comrade and friend. "Bato, I am sorry, I was in the wrong hereâ€Ļ should be more focused".

Mito wondered how much she could reveal, she didn't think she would be engaged to marry so young like her brother had been but she was not naive enough to think that the day would not come. Mito nodded at her friend's mention of Sasuke and his request that she accompany him. She moved her lips as if preparing to say more but decided against it, It would not do to speak of clan affairs out here.

Mito turned around to face the tree; she didn't want even a friend to see how her near slip up with the kunai had shaken her. Mastering control of her emotions with a short breathing exercise, Mito proceeded to pick up her weapons and pack them back into her jacket.

Before the Fujimori clan's ninja branch fell in the Kyubi attack, the branch family under Mito's uncle had come close to creating some of the first signature traits of their clan's fighting style. The grey weapons jacket was an expensive piece of clothing especially created for that purpose. It was a fairly quaint looking though armored grey trench coat with a tint of forest green patterns for camouflage. Reinforced leather and a chest plate gave the wearer at least some protection from the usual ninja weapons, but the true uniqueness of the coat came with its many pockets and holding spots for weapons.

All in all, Mito had dozens of Kunai and shuriken scattered in her sleeves, back, waist, hips and boots. There was no particular artwork on the coat, which was designed as a practical solution rather than the badge of office of Fujimori ninja it became. The coat did include however the black dragon crest of the Fujimori clan and a proud konoha symbol above the dragon signifying the clan's loyalty to the village.

Legend said that the Fujimori first became wealthy when their ancestor tricked Orak the dragon into giving up his treasure hoard. Though Mito's father insisted that the story was just an old children's tale, no clan historian had been able to pinpoint the origin of the Fujimori wealth even after years of research.

"I hope you are not talking about me" said a man Mito recognized as her new Sensei.

Horrified by the thought of having conveyed disrespect to her teacher, Mito shook her head vigorously in denial. "No sir, it won't happen again sir!" Said Mito hurriedly, eager to prove her competence in front of her Sensei.

Complying immediately with Aadrin – sensei's order, Mito puzzled over her answers for a moment before making her answers.
"I am Mito Fujimori; I like nature, reading and writing, following village politics and apples. I dislike perverts, disrespect, andâ€Ļ the nine tailed foxâ€Ļ for what it did to my clan". Mito surprised even her self by that final confession, she hadn't realized how much she had grown to loath the creature which had brought so much misery to her people. Studying with the various retired ninja clan members, Mito had come to understand just how much had been lost in the attack.

And she had grown up not knowing her motherâ€Ļ all because of that foul demon.

Noticing the extended silence, Mito continued. "Father-sama does not approve of ice-cream, but I like the strawberry blend. My goal is to be the village's first female Hokage and restore the ninja way of life to my clan".

"I am unsure yet what I would like to specialize in, but I am skilled in Taijutsu and learning to use fire element Ninjutsu. I am also studying the sealing arts and though I know the basics, I need to find a sealing master to advance further. I have learned to make use of the thrown weapon in conjunction with seals such as explosive tags and fire jutsu and consider these to be my best attacks".

Hearing her Sensei's words about keeping with one's comrades, Mito was all too well reminded of her earlier Kunai fiasco and hoped he hadn't seen her draw the blade. She answered with a determined pledge to heed her Sensei's one commandment and fight like her predecessors to the death if need be for the life and glory of the leaf.

"Yes Sensei".

Bato shrugged and offered a rather apathetic-sounding, "Don't worry about it." He was used to her formalities, of which he assumed were part of her noble upbringing, but never really cared for them. "I snuck up on you during training anyway. Wouldn't have surprised me if I ended up with a kunai between my eyes." He was going to help her clean up her mess before his eyes widened suddenly, red overtaking his vision for a flash of a second. Another pulse, human-sized, was headed this way. Quickly relaxing his vision, the heart rate wasn't racing on the newcomer, or at least that he could tell. There would probably be no attacks... but despite his calm appearance, he was on guard. They were technically outside the village's gates right now, after all.

Turns out that it was just their new teacher. And the more he talked, the more Bato didn't like him. "Skills... Goals... Your blood is their blood, their blood is your blood." All of that seemed to trigger him, make him want to act rashly, especially with the way he just seemed to talk and talk and talk... It was all so very annoying. He felt fortunate that Mito spoke first, giving him more time to cool off. He felt as though his blood were about to boil over. Everything that Mito said was very... Mito. No real other word he could have used to describe it. Especially the bit about becoming Hokage. If anyone could do it, it would probably be her. But with her in charge, he knew that the village would at least be a stable place. She seemed to be a sort of safe haven for himself on bad days, after all.

But with no one else present... save for one presence far-off that he knew too uncomfortably well, he was the only one to present left. He hated being forced to talk about himself. He wanted to keep his painful history to himself, and it was rather hard to do that when being questioned. If it were another student, he could just blow them off. But it was his sensei speaking... his annoying, annoying sensei. "My name is Bato Himura. I came here from Kirigakure a year ago. I'm a half-decent tracker with a decent mastery over a few Water-element attacks and knowledge of basic medicine. I'm not really good for anything else." As pessimistic a statement as that was, it was true to him. "I battle with my chakrams and am okay at tool use, thanks to Mito-chan." His head nodded in her direction. "As for my likes... I guess I like barbeque when I can afford it. I also like the ocean and wandering at night." Taking a pause to breathe, he shrugged. "My dislikes... are annoying people." This was directed at the sensei, though he made no gestures to indicate such. "And myself. I'm what I dislike most of all." He said that without thinking. He hadn't been asked what he particularly disliked before, so that just slipped. His facial expression changed to surprise in what he had just said, so he moved on to the other topics asked. "My goal... I guess my goal is to find a goal. Until then, I intend to keep Mito-chan safe and preserve her goal as well." She was his only friend, after all. It only made sense that he'd want to protect her. "And... ice cream flavor?" What kind of pointless-ass question was that? "I guess I like watermelon pops... the ones that look like the fruit. That or the ones made with sea-salt that I could get back in Kirigakure." Stupid. This teacher felt like the type of person who talked a lot and acted random for attention, like some deprived kid.

He sighed and shrugged. "And what kind of idiot would be afraid of a goat? Let's just go get my things and we can leave now." His voice was entirely disinterested, mostly because the sensei he was looking forward to meet accidentally just pushed his buttons. He did it without knowing so Bato shouldn't have been as upset as he was, but he felt it regardless. Maintaining emotions and being reminded of his past were not an easy combo for him. "Also, that bug brain is around us. He's trying to go the opposite direction of us." That Aburame kid... he and Bato never got along in the Academy. It was like the village intentionally put him with his best friend and his worst enemy, on top of an annoying sensei. He could only hope Mito could help keep him from losing his cool. "You may as well go get him, sensei."

Kazuki had gotten a few steps when he was informed by the Kikaichu that another chakra had just appeared. It was of an older and stronger individual. He was then told what was being said by all parties and with a heavy sigh he began making his way over
'I was hoping I wouldn't have to see 'him' for a least a couple more hours but apparently our Sensei decided on changing the the time and place of the meeting at a whim. Kazuki thought to himself as he considered what his sensei said about the teammates blood being one and the same as his own.

Kazuki arrived having been filled in with the questions and answers from the other members. He sent a nod to Mito, an annoyed and slightly bored expression at Bato and then stared at their leader Aadrin Corita taking a deep breath before starting.

"My name is Aburame, Kazuki Aburame. My skills are the skills taught in my family, which allows me to track, and combat others at various distances. I would of course tell you more but most people dont like hearing all the details. I like contributing to village and doing my part to help others. I dislike people that keep secrets and hold back, no matter what the reason. I also dislike anything that does not seem relevant to my goal. My goal is to be the village's greatest asset. I wish to join the Anbu squad to protect the village in anyways that it sees fit. I intend to make my clan be revered and respect within the Fire nation and the other nations as well.

The last answer wasn't particularly hard to answer. But Kazuki had a quite surprisingly sweet tooth. "I like Mint ice cream with chocolate chips, cookies, and peanut better in it. And sometimes with caramel and fudge as well."

There was a slight silence between them all but to avoid it from going on any longer. "So, when does the mission start?" he asked, hoping the sooner it started the sooner he would be taking his first steps that will determine his future.

(Sorry its so short, a friend of mine has been back in town and has been hogging my time)

Aadrin Corita listened to all of them. Every word, every syllable, every single letter.

"Why doesn't anyone appreciate the classic flavor of chocolate anymore?" he simply mentioned, seemingly replying to everything. However, then he decided to get one tease in before he went on to the actual replies. "So, Mito, Bato, you two boyfriend and girlfriend then? Because the way Bato just spoke...."

Then he went onto his real answers. "Now, I am sure you wondering what we are about to do, but also probably about why I asked you the question about the icecream. That question was actually the most important question out of all of them. You see, people tend to plan out or create answers that sound the most impressive, or the most serious, or just anything they think that would help them. But because no one ever expects the ice cream question, not understands its significance the first time around, their answer to that question is the most important. You dropped your guard for that question, and this let me see who you really were underneath, behind your armor. What answer you gave was not so much important, as how you answered".

He looked towards Mito first. "Your answer tells me that deep down, while you are most certainly fierce and determined, that you are honest and simple. You have your goals, and you have a clear line between enemy and ally. Bato, you questioned the question immediately, and then were hesitant to answer. You show on the outside you care, but deep down, you are both confused and afraid. However, you control that fear, not the other way around, which is good, because I might dismiss you immediately otherwise. And then you, Kazuki. You answered in a detailed and specific way, but also immediate and direct. This tells me that you are likely a very observant and perceptive individual, possibly enough to be a reckoning force against the Byakugon. You are highly analytical and intelligent".

"So you see, I learned more from those answers then all the others" he told them with a smile. "So I hope none of you thought it was pointless or stupid".

That was when he brought out the scroll holding the mission details. "Our mission is to head to a land to the north east, and help protect a tunnel digger dig a tunnel to a land that desperately needs a safe, quick route through the mountains. Understood?"

Mito felt honored by Bato's words to her, they where only genin yet her friend was already putting so much faith in her. She could not help but smile brightly, even if only one person in the village believed in her at the moment - that one precious person was worth ten fold all those whom would come later once she had proved herself.

For now, she could only promise to help Bato in his own goal once he found it.

Though Kazuki words did not touch her quite as personally as Bato's, she respected the boy's professionalism, loyalty and clan pride. Aburame where somewhat shunned in the village for their 'tenants', and thus their political power was remarkably minor for a clan of their size and ability. It wasn't fair, and it wasn't just but such was the unspoken prejudice. Mito hoped she could befriend Kazuki, maybe one day in the distant future they would work together to finally give the Aburame clan the power and influence they deserved just like any other ninja clan in Konoha?

"So, Mito, Bato, you two boyfriend and girlfriend then?..."

Mito would have stumbled in embarrassment but the Fujimori remained still looking on thoughtfully at her Sensei, or at least appearing to be. Inwardly Mito was of course plotting several bloody conspiracies against her Sensei but she didn't let such undignified thoughts ruin her composure. She was Fujimori, daughter of a proud clan infamous for the way they maneuvered themselves in village politics. Confidently, and with a slight smile appropriate when conveying mild surprise and amusement Mito started to form her super-dignified answer...

"You would be wise to learn to tolerate the Uchiha attitude sweet sister"...
Whispered the small little memory into her ear.

It was a gradual process; Mito's lips remained stretched but unmoving, her composed stare retracted and then broke away. Her smile twitched and was no more and the keen of eye sight would have spotted small droplets of sweat forming on the stricken Fujimori's forehead. Finally came the great finale as a peculiar shroud of red began to grow on Mito's cheeks, a growth which seemed unyielding and unstoppable as the blond girl's face was left but a few teasing remarks away of a certain red vegetable.

"No! we are just good friends!' Said Mito, resigned to the fact that she probably wasn't as convincing as he had planned to be... or at all for that matter. Her thoughts drifted briefly to several bloody conspiracies against against her dear brother before she dared return to the conversation.

"What I meant was that Bato and I share a close and professional friendship, one I would like to come to share with all my comrades and teammates given time". Mito corrected herself, in an attempt to salvage some of her self proclaimed composure.

Mito was somewhat bewildered by the Sensei's ploy question, less because it was made and more because of hour well he had gotten her personality down through a simple question.. about ice cream of all things. Mito was glad, she had received a devious Sensei, her closest friend and a member of the honored Aburame clan on her team, what could possibly go wrong with such a combination?

A test? That sounded like a half-assed improvised answer... but not an entirely unbelievable one. Bato decided to just surrender that and give him the benefit of the doubt. His sensei was annoying, but that didn't automatically mean that he should assume he's an idiot. And right away, Kazuki gave him that looked. That bored expression that almost seemed to egg Bato on... Oh, he wanted to punch him. Him and all the tens of thousands of little blood bits inside of him that literally made Bato feel stomache sick. What was the Academy thinking, putting these two on the same team? Kazuki practically hated Bato for reasons he didn't understand. "Anbu. That's an original goal for an Aburame." A sharp retort was muttered under his breath at the boy. He really had no reason to dislike Kazuki other than that he was disliked... he felt that good enough reason to return some rudeness. It was entirely possible that the bit about "keeping secrets" and "holding back" was a jab at Bato... And if it was, he offered a mental "Fuck you" to the bug boy. He didn't understand Bato in the slightest and had no place judging him for that.

Mito's pulse rose in speed, causing him to look at his friend. Red touched her cheeks from the question that the tan-skinned boy only now stopped to realize was asked. "Girlfriend? Her? Boyfriend? Me?" Faintly, a pink color touched under his colored skin as he sharply turned to face away from Mito. "N-No way! I don't like her like that. We just train together sometimes. Don't make stupid assumptions, sensei." He truly didn't feel anything for her in that way, given his inability to get over her from before... but the question caught him way off guard, possibly being what Aadrin-sensei was planning from the beginning. Given his own heart rate increasing from the nervousness, Mito's... Kazuki and his insects present, he was really feeling stomache sick. Way too much at once. A hand fell upon his stomache to try and ease it as he sighed. "Okay, sensei. I'm not feeling well. Can I go back to my house now and get my things? I'll meet with you guys after I get my things. And some water." Any excuse to get out of there, not that it wasn't the truth.

(accidentally added mazaro to the list. not sure how to take him off. And also can't remember my color code so will edit that shortly)

Kazuki looked at the two other group members with concern to them actually being in a relationship. The problem that Kazuki saw was that their emotions would get in the way of a mission or possibly cause the lives of the whole time. Kazuki had his own ideas of relationship. He had plans to get together with a normal girl with a good sense of humor and bad sense of fashion. That way he wouldn't have to worry about her safety on missions. Some times ninjas got together, and sometimes it worked, but there were many stories of things turning sour and escalating due to such involvements.

Kazuki simply listened to what sensei had to say about the others, making mental notes, seeing as he hadn't bothered learning too much about them yet. Information was the most dangerous thing to a ninja.

He wasn't really surprised by sensei's assessment of Kazuki himself, but he was impressed by the jounin's sharp mind. He knew there were special individuals that had experience in interrogation techniques. Kazuki was indeed interesting in finding out if he knew of such things, or if was naturally gifted at gathering information.

"The only question I have is; Can we leave as soon as possible?" Kazuki said as he watched Bato leaving, disappointed that Bato was so little prepared annoyed him to the point that he wish he had responded to that muttering Bato had done earlier. It was at this time that a swarm of insects flew towards him and dropped his gear at his feet. He always hid his gear in the forest so as to surprise anyone that thought he was unarmed and unprepared. "Is there any kind of special tools you think we might need, Corita Sensei?"

"Its interesting that you said stupid assumptions, and got all jumpy Bato. Almost like you are trying to hide something...and poorly, at that" he said. He knew it probably was not true, but that did not mean he could have a little fun.

He sighed. Before Bato left, he made sure to address him quickly. "A good ninja is always prepared! You should remember this! After all, here is an important rule. Rule 1: YOu forget your Kunai, your dead".

(Thats no joke, you forget your kunai, you die in less then five minutes. :3)

As Bato went to get his things, he turned towards the others. "Well, its good you have that attitude Mito. A shinobi life might seem hard and brutal, but one of the things I believe the Will of Fire represents is the Leaf Shinobi's bonds with his or her teammates. You will be fighting together, and more then likely will have to sleep in the same room at one time or another. Though I guess you and Bato won't have complaints against that very often..."

The last part he said with a smile. He then turned to the Aburame. "Special tools? Anything you can use in battle. Though you might want to be careful with your bugs. Where we are going, it will be very windy in some areas. So I recomend bringing as many weapons you are skilled in. Like how I brought a Demon Wind Shuriken, as I trained especially with it".

He looked down the road, and then at Mito. "He won't take too long, will he? Or did he go to get some flowers too?" He mentioned with a laugh. "Your friend should not have blushed if he wanted me to believe him".

Aadrin considered the possibility he was being a bit too joking, but Bato had blushed...so he was considering that it was a good possibility.

Outwardly, Mito seemed to have regained her self-control rather quickly after her sudden loss of composure. Inwardly however the decisive battle of emotions continued, confounded by Bato's own reactions to their Sensei's, in hindsight, obvious attempt at teasing. Mito, still blushing found the ground bellow a fascinating object for scrutiny while she tried to avoid her friend's gaze.

When her friend suddenly and with little explanation took his leave from the group, Mito's bafflement only increased. She could not understand Bato's reaction at all, the last time she had seen him so worked up was during his first weeks in the village; when Mito tired very stubbornly to convince the new academy student to reveal his past.

Could it be that Bato actually...

Mito was glad that she had pleased her teacher, but the latter had to wreck the moment by making another pass on Bato and Mito's supposed affair. The Fujimori growled in indignation, an act unbecoming of her social standing to be sure. Fists clenched and eyes narrowed Mito felt that this little game and gone on for long enough.

"Aadrin-Sensei, I will have you know that the relationship between Bato-kun and I is strictly professional, I will endure what I have to endure in order to accomplish my missions and protect my teammates". Said Mito with a tone of unrestrained anger.

"He won't take too long, will he? Or did he go to get some flowers too?. Your friend should not have blushed if he wanted me to believe him".

Mito sighed, this man could match Sauske's bouts of immaturity! Mito was about to teach her Sensei how she dealt her dear brother, but Aadrin's words caught up with her when he mentioned that Bato had also blushed during their shared ordeal.

Mito felt the warmness on her cheeks return and practically fled the team's meeting place rather then give Aadrin the satisfaction of witnessing a Mito Tomato for the second time in so many minutes , declaring quote: that she had "Important Clan Business" to attend to before they left on the mission.

A long, exasperated gasp for breath came from the tan boy as he slammed down the emptied glass of water. What an ordeal this had turned out to be. He had made his way home and the first thing he did was chug down a glass of water to soothe his nerves as he quickly turned on the tap and poured another. "Stupid idiot sensei." He thought to himself with a furrowed brow as he pressed the glass to his lips and began downing another cup of water. "Who could like an annoying girl like her anyway? Not my type." He yelled at his teacher in his mind before taking another exasperated gasp for breath as the glass made its way into the sink. Bato stood with his hands on either side of the sink and let the water settle down in his system before moving. "And why'd I get that Aburame tool in my squad? The hell's wrong with Konoha anyway? They know they make me sick." Physically sick, that is. All of the little swarms and tiny masses of blood inside one bigger mass of blood... his stomach felt like flopping at the mere thought of this.

Taking a deep breath he picked up a backpack and began filling it with mission essentials. Trail rations and spare clothing, of course. Spare ninja tools and all of that jazz. He didn't really have much to go on for location of this mission, so he packed a sweater just in case. That, and a green-patterned scarf that he held in his hands for a short while before packing away. He mouthed a word, a name, voicelessly and closed his bag. That scarf would be taken with him through blistering heats or arctic chills. There was no question. After the essentials were packed, he strapped his twin chakrams onto the back of the bag for easy access in cases of emergency. Feeling that he was properly prepared now, he slipped on his ninja sandals and stepped out of his apartment room with a lock to the door. Maybe once he went back, his sensei would stop being such an annoying prick... Yeah, that was a dream. He knew already that he was the type to keep nit-picking and poking and prodding until he got the reactions he desired. For his sake, Bato hoped he didn't desire a chakram to the face.

Stepping down the stairs and reaching the ground, he caught notice of Mito running at full force away from where they had met. His expresson turned to one of being just completely done as he knew right away that it was Aadrin-sensei's doing. He probably stayed and relentlessly teased her after Bato left. With a red-faced best friend like that, he had half a mind to give him a serious punch to the chin. But rather than go punch their sensei, he made his way to the sprinting Mito instead. Once he finally caught up with her, he reached out and tapped her shoulder before staring at her with his one exposed eye. "Yo. Idunno what you're doing, but we should head back to that arse now. Unless you got something important to be doing. In which case, I'd rather help you out than be with that guy... those guys." It would definitely be no secret to Mito that he disliked the Aburame kid. If she left back to their sensei, he'd follow suit. If not, he'd just follow her wherever she intended to go.

Kazuki remained where he was not needing to go anywhere or do anything. Real or imagined. A windy are would indeed cause a small issue for a single kikaichu bug, but not for a whole swarm. Sending out an unseen unit would be tricky but he would have to wait to see what the conditions were actually like before a plan could be implemented

As for weapons went. He had plenty and then he could also make more with his crystal so there was no reason to go anywhere. So he sat down and used the chakra to increase the amount of kikaichu inside in his body. There was of course s a limit but Kazuki wished to increase the number of mutations and evolutions so as to make them far superior to kiku bugs of others.

It was then that as warm had finally retrieved a black and red painted clay gourd which quickly he placed it on his back.

"Sensei," he said suddenly while looking over his tools again to make sure all of them were easy to reach for quick access. He still wasn't pleased by with his team choice but knew that he didn't have any say in it. They had grouped together for a reason. He wanted to figure it out quickly so he stop thinking so little of thinking about it. he would have to keep an eye on their skill level and talents to understand so he made mental note to keep an eye on them. "did you purposely try to agitate them as some sort of test or did you actually believe there is something there between them?"

It could affect missions if it was true which would also give him and Aadrin Sensei more to keep an eye on which could end up badly for the team as a whole. Or it could strengthen their bond and make them more effective. It will have to be carefully

He decided he would plant one of the female kikaichu on all of them later. That way it would serve as information as well as a long term tracking for their safety in case something happened. He would make sure to do it today when they were all back together, but before the mission started.

Corita considered leaving right then and there, leaving a message so the others could catch up. But technically, they had to wait for the tunnel differ. So he returned to the final one with him. "Originally, I said it as a joke, but given the reactions of both of them, I have to say I think they might actually have feelings for one another, even if they don't know it...".

Corita thought back to their answers though. Mito holds hatred, mostly for the Nine Tailed Fox. If she focused it, she could be a potentially great shinobi, if she learned how to control that anger, as well as her other emotions. I suppose I should count myself lucky. Had the Third Hokage not decided to alter the team makeups to ensure optimal safety for the Nine Tailed Fox's development, the original team listing had Mazaro and Mito on the same team. This is best...because if Mito ever learns what really happened to the Nine Tailed Fox, I am pretty sure she would kill it no matter what, as well as anyone who got in her way...

That was when the tunnel digger arrived, before Mito and Bato. "Oh well, I guess I probably wont seem them red faced anytime soon. Still, we should start our way. The tunnel digger is not as fast as us, and Mito and Bato could take the run as additional punishment for not being ready, when I specifically told all of you ahead of time to be fully prepared before you got here. I will leave my note for them with this kunai, so that they don't get too lost".

He tied his note to a kunai, threw it into the tree where they had been practicing before, and then departed. "Coming Kazuki?"
