Thea watched Lucas as he tore his sleeve and wrapped it around her arm. To be truthful, she was glad he had done it. It would have been embarrassed to have everyone that was out able to see it. Before he led her off, she picked up the wolf figurine and slipped it in her pocket. She'd find someone else to give it to some other time. She then allowed him to help her walk, though she really didn't need it. She knew she could walk fine, but she would never tell him that. Not when it felt so nice to be close to him. "I don't mind if we go to your place. Wouldn't want anyone at home to see me this way anyways." She finally said and let him guide her as they walked.

Now, Cole had been on his own walk through the woods, his mind on the memories that were passing through his head as he whistled a cheery tune. He heard the snapping of some branches and was pulled out of his duty of managing the memories of others and looked toward where the sound had come from. There he saw two figures, one familiar and the other one he definantly knew. "Lucas! Got yourself a new flavor of the month?" He asked with a big smile, striding over to them, hoping it really was Anael he was seeing with Lucas. When Thea turned slightly startled and he saw her face, he knew it was her, and he saw the small the small flash of anger and jealousy that flashed through Thea's eyes at his words. Ah, so it had worked. "And a pretty one at that. May e you should keep her around. Or let me have her, if ya don't want her that is."

"Lucas! Got yourself a new flavor of the month?" A voice oh so familiar rang into Lucas's ear. A quick turn and he saw it. Cole. His smile smug as he walked towards Thea. A notable look of disgust spread on Lucas's face as he started to speak, masking a flare of rage. "Cole? It's been a while." A bitter stare behind a false smile as he stared at the one person he didn't want to be here. They used to be friends, but something changed that. Lucas looked from Cole to Thea, seeing a bit of anger in Thea's eyes. Staring back at Cole, Lucas gave a cold smile before returning to an innocent and hurt expression as he spoke. "I thought you of all people would remember, I've been alone for so long." He stared at Cole, shaking his head a bit and looking to Thea. "This is Cole. He's an old friend of mine." Lucas stared at Cole, anger welling inside before tending to Thea. "Thea, what do you think? Do you think... I'm like that?" Lucas gave a soft look to Thea, silently wanting her to believe him and to set the doubts aside. He felt his heart slow, seconds becoming hours.

Cole watched delighted as the emotions played across Lucas' face. After all this time, he still knew how to get to him. "Why yes, it has been a while. Thought I'd never see you again except to drag yourself after some piece of tail so very desparately." He chuckled lightly. "Ah, those wacky high school days, huh? Before everything happened." Of course, Cole knew that Lucas had only been after one woman, well angel to be exact, his entire existance, but taking it out of context made it sound so much worse. He could tell that by the look of disgust that crossed Thea's face presently.

And she was disgusted. The thought that she was just some passing fad to any man, especially after what had just happened, was degrading and hurtful. She listened to the entire conversation that occurred between the two men, watching them each. By the end, she had stepped out of Lucas' arms and stood an armslength away from him. "I hardly know you Lucas. I don't know what you are like." Her voice was slightly hard, but in her eyes you could see that she already believed him. She just woulsn't admit it to herself. She looked into Lucas' eyes. "I can walk fine, thank you. Maybe I should just go to my house..."

Cole saw his opportunity. He stepped forward, a certain tenderness entering his eyes that was unmistakable. Anyone who saw it would know it was love. He ducked his head slightly and spoke in a soft and kind voice to Thea, so different than before. "You should really at least have someone walk you there. The streets aren't safe for a young and beautiful woman. Let alone an injured one." He said, gesturing to her arm. Thea stood where she was, looking confused. Her eyebrows knitted together and she looked from Cole, a grateful and curious look in her eyes, to Lucas, a longing and hurt filling her eyes. She didn't know what to do.

Lucas felt his heart start to shatter and harden, seeing Anael slipping away from him. A darkness grew inside him, something festered. The loneliness of it sank in. He kept hope that Thea would listen to him, keeping the darkness back if only for a moment. Thoughts raced through Lucas's mind, thinking of an idea. Finally something sprang to mind, a cold strategy but it would crawl under his skin. "Thea... Would it be ok if we walked you home? I mean, I don't want to leave this on a bad note. I want a chance to explain. Can I have that chance? Just one chance and if you still think I'm a horrible man I'll leave you alone and never bother you again." A pleading look in his eyes, he needed her to know he cared. He looked at her softly, disregarding Cole as memories of Anael raced in his mind. Her laugh, her love, he needed it back. He needed her back. He had nothing else to ask but one last word, feeling his throat cut off air as soon as he finished speaking. "Please?"

Cole glowered slightly at Lucas, but out of Thea's sight as he started to try and worm his way into their walk home. But Thea was looking sadly at Lucas. She sighed heavily. "I never said you were a horrible man. I just don't really know you, that's all. You take all the time you need to explain." She then turnes her attention to both the men. "Anyways, I suppose it would be a good thing to have company on the walk home." She smiled at them both. Cole smiled back, but inside he felt anger and irritation building. He had been so close to winning, and now Lucas had turned ot to a stalemate. He needed a definite victory if he was going to be happy. But he didn't show any of this.

"Why, yes darling. We all need company now and again, don't we, Lucas?" He asked, grinning smugly to Lucas, not wanting to show that he had gotten to him. Cole stepped forward to Thea's side. "And where exactly is home?" Thea looked to Lucas, awaiting his response before she did anything.

Lucas smiled at her words. A new sense of hope filled him as he spoke. "Thank you. I'm not going to waste that chance." A smile stayed on Lucas's face as he stood beside Thea, looking at her softly as he silently mouthed thank you again. The darkness in him receded, a small bit of satisfaction in the fact that he had gotten Cole into a stalemate. He remembered when they were all friends, reigning in heaven together and enjoying themselves. What drew them apart? Lucas kept this to himself as he looked at Thea with a small smile. "I'm ready when you are."

Thea looked at the two men beside her, suddenly feeling slightly awkward, sensing the mounting tension between the two. She cleared her throat and then spoke. "Yeah.... Let's go then." She didn't know what else to say, so she started walking silently with the pair, having the urge to hold both of their hands at once, though the urge to hold Lucas' was stronger. This Cole man seemed familiar to her as well, though not as familiar as Lucas. It was slightly odd to her. And it seemed they were having some sort of silent competition. She dismissed the thought, thinking that was just her paranoia talking.

However, where Thea was silent, Cole had a million things to say. "So how did a pretty little thing like you get hurt like that? And Lucas, how on earth Dod you get this gorgeous specimen of a woman to start even talking to you, hm? Did you use that old cheesy pick up line?" He smiled innocently to Lucas as he walked with him and Thea, wanting to try and get one up on him. "And if you don't mind, Thea, I'd like to get your number When we get to your house." Seeing as he didn't give much time for her to answer the first question before launching to the next, she gratefully ignored it. "Sure, why not." She said as they walked.

Lucas smiled as he walked beside Thea, listening to her as they walked. His idle hands moved, unknowing to him, grasping Thea's in his as they walked. Cole spoke but he gave no mind to it, reply in an almost aloof manner. "That cheesy pickup line? What one is that? I suck at talking to women, especially with a very roguish looking man shmoozing up to the ladies." Lucas felt a callow grin on his face, delighting in pettiness. Subtle words, a heavy impact. He smiled, holding Thea's hand as they walked. "Hey Thea? I... I have to say. You're a very sweet girl. I can tell. I want to thank you." His heart beat a little faster, trying his best to hold in his words while he waited for Thea's response.

Thea's face blushed a deeper scarlet than it had ever been before. It was one thing to be complimented. But to be complimented in front of someone? That embarrassed her worse. She had always been more of a romantic, but always in more private settings. She had issues sharing her feelings with people. She cleared her throat and muttered out a thanks, then realized that she was holding his hand and slipped her hand out of his. She muttered an apology, thinking she had been the one to grab his hand. Cole watched the little exchange with a slight scowl on his face. "C'mon Lucas, can't you see you're embarrassing the girl?" If he couldn't play dirty to get Thea to like him, maybe he could get Lucas to feel terrible. He knew Anael's soul though. He knew this would be the result when people were around. So why do it? Cole would never understand.

Cole then got another idea. He smirked slightly to himself. With a small snap of his fingers, he made a root appear under Thea's feet and she tripped and nearly fell. But of course, Cole caught her and held her close, smiling to her. "Oh, uh, thanks." She muttered again. "Guess I'm just a clutz." Cole smiled at Thea softly and brushed a small strand of hair from her face. "I'll always be here to catch you." With that, Thea stood on her own again and looked at the ground as she continued walking, her face red again.

Lucas stared at Cole for a moment before chuckling to himself, looking at Thea softly. "Oh Thea, I have a few stories I could share. If you're up for it I mean." A smile grew on Lucas's face, friendly and casual on the surface as he felt evil thoughts lurk in his head. He felt several ideas weave in his head, stories of ruin and damnation forming. Lucas kept his smile, waiting for someone to speak as he looked softly at Thea. If Cole was willing to use his powers, anything was free game. Memories flowed into his mind, unguarded as he left himself open for Cole to look in. Memories of times in Heaven, the rebellion, and Anael's choice of mortality. A soft thought spoke over these memories. You know what I'm going to do.

Cole could feel a gentle tugging in his mind of someone near accessing memories. Of course, he was curious, so he peered into them to see they belonged to Lucas. He narrowed his eyes at Lucas, knowing what he was planning. "Story time sounds awfully boring to me." He said, trying to make sure that he didn't get a chance to tell his stories. However, Thea stopped and turned back. "No, I need a small rest anyways. I'd like to hear the stories." Really, she just wanted to hear Lucas talking, but she'd never say that aloud. She looked around and found a small rock to sit on. Cole sat against a tree near her, rolling his eyes at the situation. "Well, Mr. Scribe, tell us your story." He said in an impatient voice.

Lucas smiled, sitting and thinking of a story. "Alright. This one is a story my family used to share." A lie, it was all from memory but that would make him sound like a madman. "A story of angels, rebellion, and one particular angel's disappearance." Tapping into foreign memories, ones bloody and dark. "Lucifer's rebellion. An angel who thought he could usurp God himself. He amassed several hundred angels and archangels to start a war. Some say that from the ground, the entire sky blackened as hordes marched to the gates of Heaven. Angels were forced to choose, Lucifer or God, order or chaos? And war spread to Heaven, heroes and villains alike making their impression. Three particular angels mentioned: Azrael, Zachriel, and..." Lucas paused, trying to think of a name, unable to mention Anael's name without causing alarm. Then he thought of an idea. "I can't remember the third angel's name... Mind if I use your last name Thea?" A smile grew on his face, he kept his focus on her. Wanting her permission before continuing the story.

Thea had leaned forward, fascinated by the story for some reason. It seemed familiar to her, in some impossible way. When asked to use her last name, she laughed. "Sure. The angel of love and passion. Why not. But I'm not so sure your story is as black and white as it seems. After all, who can say what is good and what is evil? Isn't there good and bad to everything? Really, it's just a matter of perspective. To Hitler, what he was doing wasn't evil. Yet, everyone seems him as an evil monster. He was doing what he felt was right. Not that I in any way condone it, but the point remains clear that sometimes, each side can have a good point and a bad point, and it is up to the people to choose. They weren't really choosing order and chaos. It was more choosing who they put their alliance in. I'm sure to Lucifer, his place and his way isn't chaos. But since most religions worship God, we are all taught to believe so. I think Lucifer had some good points, though his methods weren't right to me. And God had his good points as well, but some things I disagreed on. And that's why I-" Thea suddenly stopped, tiling her head to the side. "I have no idea what I was about to say. What was I even talking a out? I remember it up to the whole Hitler thing."

Meanwhile, Cole was becoming furious. He stood. "What do you mean, there is no good and evil?! Of course Lucifer was wrong! He was chaos in itself! What is wrong with you An-" He choked off the rest of his words, sitting again as Thea looked highly confused at him, then to Lucas.

Lucas smiled, things lined up and drove Cole to the point of anger. He stopped his story for a moment, looking from Thea to Cole then back again. "Well, a matter of perspective yes. What someone does in their own eyes is never evil unless they wish it to be. But there's also the fact that Lucifer was willing to harm those who stood in his path, even if they had nothing against him." Looking at Cole, he grinned a bit before speaking again. "Who knows, Lucifer could have had some very valid points. Is it such a crime for an angel to speak his mind?" A small chuckle escaped before Lucas took a deep breath and spoke. "Where was I again?... Oh yes. So, the three angels mentioned, Azrael, Zachriel, and Anael, spoke at the dawn of war. The three spoke of protecting heaven and helping the weak. Soon a messenger of Lucifer came, an angel with wings as black as the dead of night and a voice coarse but calm spoke to all of heaven. He bellowed from the sky 'Angels of Heaven, look upon me and lend me your ears. Our lord is a tyrant, a man who would create evil in the world, let many suffer even with absolute faith. Lucifer, a comrade and noble angel, goes against this man. With all of you at his side, we can usurp this being. We can bring light to the world.' The three did not speak until this messenger left, and then only to themselves. Anael, the healer of the suffering, spoke to Azrael, the guide of the dead, and Zachriel, the shaper of memories, with only a few words. She spoke of the devastation war would bring, that she wanted to bring peace to this uprising. The two spoke against this, Zachriel out of loyalty and Azrael out of fear. Soon the call to battle was sounded, many marching to Heaven's fence to fight back the invaders. Anael chose to leave the battle, wanting to leave the madness and bloodshed. And so the Lord asked Zachriel to take away everything she had of Heaven and Azrael to bring her to the earth to live as a mortal, unable to return to Heaven or descend to hell. Constant lives spent on this earth." Lucas finished his story, looking at Thea and Cole with a sad smile. "A tragic story. Anything anyone want to ask?"

Althea shook her head at the story, rising and pacing back and forth. "No. Wasn't there the meeting called in which the angels chose either the side of God or the side of Lucifer? And those who resided with God stayed the angels, and those who resided with Lucifer were the demons. Althea stopped, and looked to Lucas, something new I her eyes. "My dear Ezekiel, you remember incorrectly. Far incorrectly. Whilst there was a battle, whilst we did converse and I said I would not participate, while all of that is true, there is a hole in your story. Don't you remember? The forces marched to the gates, then God stopped it all and asked each angel to choose a side. And each angel one by one stood and spoke their allegiance to either side. But when I went, I chose the side of neither, and said I would rather live as a mortal than to choose either extreme. And then-" With that, the bit of Anael weakened and went away, and Thea fell to her knees and held her head. "Whoa. I'm really lightheaded. Sorry guys." She stood back up. "Nah, I don't really have any questions. Though, wasn't Anael the angel of love and sexuality?"

Meanwhile, Cole had gaped at her from the time that Anael had begun to speak. Althea and Anael were one, but the memory Althea had as an angel was floating around, not completely merged with her soul. So it sense that it was coming out. Weak, but strengthening. What was going on here? Cole had no clue. But Thea noticed his staring and she became self conscious. "What? Do I have something on me?" She asked, worriedly. Cole hadn't recovered yet.

Lucas smiled, listening as Anael spoke, memories racing as Thea's body went through the motions. Soon Anael faded and Thea returned, Lucas giving a smile as he spoke. "Why yes, she was. I must be thinking of something else." A giddiness rose in him, looking at Cole as he moved to help Thea up. He spoke in his mind, where only Cole would hear him as he spoke in his mind with an excited tone. "Oh my god I love when stuff just happens like this" He looked at Thea and smiled, holding her up. "Do you remember anything that just happened?" he kept her up, smiling as he looked around. "Do you want us to take you home now?"

Thea looked at Lucas and Cole, confused. "Anything that just happened? You told the story, I said that there must have been some sort of meeting, I corrected you about what Anael was the angel of, and that's it." She looked to the two males' faces. "Wasn't it?" She said, suddenly not so sure by the looks on their faces.

Cole had recovered his composure a bit, and thought back to Lucas. "Oh shut up. You're only excited because you think she'll remember and come right back to you. But I won't just back down and let you have her this time. I will have her." Cole smiled to Thea, putting his hand on the small of her back. "Yes, let's bring you home, shall we?" Thea looked at the two guys, still slightly confused. "Uh, sure, yeah." With that, she began walking toward her house once more. Cole glared at Lucas as she went ahead, shoving past him with his shoulder.

Lucas smiled, walking beside Thea and exchanging glances at Cole as they walked. Excitement raced through his mind as he spoke to Cole through his mind. "I think a lot of things. And you sound miffed. Anything an old friend can do to help?" A grin shot across his face as he stared at Cole before speaking to Thea. "We can talk more about everything later on. As long as you want to I mean." Lucas gave a warm smile, walking beside Thea as he thought of past memories.

Cole scowled again, shooting another thought to him. "Yeah. You can back the hell off and let me have her! You already got your chance." he said, then glowered at the ground in anger. He couldn't really say anything to Thea because he was angry with her too. How could she think that Lucifer wasn't all bad? This was all black and white, but she seemed to see shades of grey, and that irritated him. He would fix that eventually though.

Thea sensed the tense atmosphere and gave a nervous chuckle. "Yeah, sure, that would be nice." She said, scratching at the make-shift bandage on her arm. It was beginning to get irritated because of the fabric rubbing on it. However, they soon made it to the front of her house. She stopped and turned to the two boys. "Well, this is it. I'll talk to you guys later, okay?" She said, forgetting that she hadn't gotten Cole's number, and immediately sprinted inside to tend to her wounds.

Meanwhile, Cole turned to Lucas. "Dude, what in the fuck is wrong with you?"
