Introduction

Anara Dungeon is known to be the prison for the worst of the worst in the Cuesep kingdom. Usually those imprisoned here would either be hard to execute or an execution would be not be harsh enough of a punishment. However a number of prisoners are only here because they had been wronged in life such as knights who have been framed or giants who have only been imprisoned for what they are. However they are going to break out and show that it isn't impossible to escape the dungeon. Their only goal is to seek revenge on who brought injustice upon them, no matter if former friends, powerful nobles or family members themselves. Outside they will only be safe in the woods and smaller settlements where no one knows their faces. Meanwhile wanted posters will be hanging everywhere in the cities.

Anara Dungeon: A massive prison for the kingdoms worst criminals. The guards are considered the toughest in the nation and many cells are deemed impenetrable from the inside. The only way out is to fight your way out. And guards aren't the worst problem. Some of the prison guardians are considered to be fallen angels and are difficult for even the toughest of humans to defeat (orcs, giants or the like might have it easier). The dungeon sits atop of a mountain in the Eastern Range.

Cuesep kingdom: Massive and populous. The kingdom is ruled from the Golden Palace in the capital city of King's Throne. Between the dungeon and the capital are forests, mountains, deserts and plains. The dungeon being in the nation's far east and the capital being in the west.

Rafe nodded to himself as the spear stuck the bear, allowing Bolin to easily finish it off by stabbing it in the brain. Once the bear had been finished off, Rafe walked up to the beast and recovered his spear and cleaned the blood off of it. "No problem Bolin, we gotta watch each other. I mean we are going to be working together, might as well do our best to help each other out. But time to get a move on." Rafe stated as he placed his spear on his back.

"You guys definitely have some fighting ability. You didn't really have any issues defeating that bear. So now, let us as Bolin said head to the tower as soon as possible." Lela said. She then started to stride down the mountain. Once at the bottom, she went in the direction of the tower. They walked across fields, passed farms and ruins and crossed a river. Down the river the next settlement was visible as it was carved into a large rock. But the tower was more important. After a couple hours walk with no incident, they finally reached the tower. It was larger than expected and looked abandoned, however it might not have been more than a couple years back. The tower was easily taller than a palace or temple and worthy of a powerful wizard. The bottom floor was a bit overgrown.

Lela tore away the vines and opened the door. Wall mounted crystals automatically lit the place. It seemed each floor was a central room with two side rooms and a staircase. There also was a magical lift that seemed to be out of order. The rooms themselves were quite large though.

Lela climbed the stairs to search for a sign of the wizard. On the twelfth floor, Lela found a room illuminated by natural light coming through a stained glass window. In front of the window was a skeleton in a chair behind a desk. One of the skeletons hands was on the desk and a note under it. Lela took the note and read it out loud: "To Lela. I am aware that once you are free that you might come here for revenge for me turning you into what you are now and I regret that. As an apology, you will be the sole heir to my tower and whatever is in it. The books in the library should be enough for you and whichever allies you find to become skillful mages, if now powerful wizards. As security, you can summon golems or servants. Your options are without limit."

"Well I hadn't intended to come here for revenge. He was the person I wanted to forgive. But it is fortunate that he was expecting me even though I might be a couple years too late." Lela said.

Bolin followed Lela up the stairs exploring the tower until he reached the seventh floor were he found a magnificent workshop and forge than any Master Dwarf Smith could be proud of tossing the bag of angel wings onto the work bench he began to examine the tools hanging on the walls they wear perfect with these he could craft items worthy of his legendary ancestors opening up one of the side rooms he saw it was filled with stacks of various metal ingots, He froze on the spot Sitting in the corner of the room was a pile of Quick Silver ingots, not believing his eyes he ran over to them and lifted one. it was real he never had seen this much of Quick Silver not even when he still lived in the Lonely Mountain.

Taking the ingot he ran from the room and began looking for Lela he eventually found on the Twelfth floor burst into the room. "Lela this wizard must have really had connections." he froze in mid sentence as he say the sad look on Lela's face. "Are you alright My Lady."

Upon arriving at the wizard tower, Rafe whistled as he looked around the place. Old but impressive, he was not that big on magic but it certanly could do many things. Rafe climbed the stairs following behind Lela, peering in each floor to get used to the place. Everything was really spacious, and to think only one person lived in this tower. This place could have been a real castle, fit for a King and an entire army of Knights if they did not mind a rather tall tower instead of a grand castle that is.

Rafe decided to follow Lela to the twelve floor, he did not really need to stop by the other floors because he could do so once he reached the top of this tower and found out what each room was about. Once he arrived with Lela and heard what was on the note, he decided to keep quiet for a bit even though it appeared that she was not too affected by that wizard, he decided to let her think in peace. Of cours Bolin arrived, and it appeared that he made a discovery.

When Bolin came in and asked if Lela was alright, Lela answered: "I am fine. It just seems I came too late to forgive the old wizard. However in an effort to make up for his wrongs, he left a note saying that I have ownership over the tower and that there is a library here that can give us plenty of information on magic use. I sort of know how to use magic and channel mana, however all I can do is this." She flicked in the air and a small short flame came from her fingertip. Then she moved her hands in a rainbow movement making sparkles.

"I just hope that is enough to start with." She said. "Let's go check out this library." And she went down to the 11th floor to a room with tall bookshelves. All books were in pristine condition. "Let us find the book that explains the shop feature. So we can get clothes and supplies." It didn't take long to find it. It was less a book and more a holographic catalog with instructions how to summon the shop portal or summon supplies.

"Well it says here, that summoning the shop portal requires minimal magic, however the supplies through it cost money. The alternative is to summon the supplies on the spot, which requires mana as they cannot just appear from nothing. Depending on the size and complexity of the item, it requires more mana. The convenience of the shop portal allows one however to accept missions and requests in an effort to earn money. Well that sounds like a way I can eventually practice. Why don't you guys pick something, I should have enough mana saved up for initial supplies for the three of us. I just hope I can manage to actually summon them." Lela said.

"There is no need to worry worry about weapons and armor the workshop down their on the seventh floor is amazing I could craft anything down there from things as delicate as time pieces till till full blown war machines with ease. Did I here someone mention we could also summon servants if so we could send them to collect the dragon and Rafe killed. We don't need to worry about money cause if we need to this single bar of Quick Silver is worth at least half the royal treasury but id much rather turn it into something for us."

"How about we summon up some Food and drink them we can finish exploring the tower and i want to get a look at the lift to see can we get it working. What do you think we should do Rafe"

"Well, after eating watered down soup as our meals every day in that accursed dungeon. A celebratory feast with actually game and delicious drink would be worthy of our first supplies. I know that clothing is an issue however I believe I can fashion up some clerical garments, I may be a knight but I can pass as a warrior preist. Those are rare these days...I think...Never seen a warrior priest. But Quick Silver? It would truly be better to forge it into armour and weapons, and it would be less suspicious for us to sell a supposidly rare metal. Especially if they are all in bar form." Rafe spoke as he took off his helmet.

As Rafe removed his helmet, he spoke again. "I guess if you can conjur up some food and some drinks that would be a nice start. My personal request would be white silk. We can then fix this tower, clean it up a bit, have a meal then we can get to work on a disguise. Of course, after we are done it would seem we all have our own missions to accomplish. Until I find that ancient dragon I shall never rest! Although finding it is going to be a pain...those are the strongest and smartest dragons to ever live, no telling where it could be hiding."

"I don't know if quick silver is considered as rare among the arcane guild and whether they use a different currency than the rest of the kingdom. It is better put to use for personal equipment." Lela said. "I will give it a try summoning some pork chops first." She followed the instructions in the book and focused on getting some pork chops. Instead what she summoned looked like a pig turned inside out.

"Oops. I seem to not have focused correctly." She then tried again, this time with success. She then proceeded with staple foods like rice, wheat and dried meats, including human meat which was surprising to her that they had even listed meals for maneaters. Then she summoned clean water and ale.

"I need to take a quick break. It needs quite a bit of my energy. Meanwhile, what kind of servants should I summon? We do not want to get ones that are too dumb. Possibilities could be gnomes, goblins, trolls, orcs, demons or golems. Whereas most of them are contracted, golems can be made or we can maybe play gods and simply create human servants. Well they might not all the way be humans but close enough. I'd favor demons as they are good allround servants. Otherwise I'd say gnomes to take care of cleaning and assistance and orcs for security." Lela said.

After her break, she summoned Rafe's white silk, then two sets of clothes for herself as well as basic plates. "I have decided that I will go with the death priestess disguise until I find a spell to change my hair and eye color for longer periods. I don't want my hair turning back to silver after a couple hours. By the way, the stuff summoned seem to be listed as minor need of mana. I wonder what then needs a lot of mana to summon then."

She flipped through the catalog and noticed that most of the high mana cost summonings were complex devices, rare materials and large stuff like buildings. "Well that explains a lot."

"Maybe we can eventually turn this place into a fortress or get some farmers to establish a community around the tower. If you guys weren't around or felt like getting rid of the royal family, I probably would have planned raising an army of orcs. But then again, it would be irresponsible and innocents would get caught in conflicts they arent associated with. Maybe in the next days, weeks or months, I can find an efficient way to get revenge on the people who kept me in prison. But anyways, I will get changed and meditate. If you need anything, come to the 12th floor." Lela said.

She then went upstairs and got changed in a side room. The death priestess outfit was an entirely black outfit made up of a black bodysuit, a long black dress with a high neck collar and a hooded cloak. She had a separate hood to cover her head and most of her face in case she had to go outside. But for the time being, she didn't need it leaving her face and hair revealed and the hood down. The outfit was made of a smooth and cozy material. She then dusted off a cushion and sat on it to meditate and try to extend her mana capacity and accelerate mana regeneration so she could eventually use combat magic or summon greater things.

Id say Orcs for security, Golems for any heavy lifting like bringing in that dragon, Golems are great for sealing or assaulting breaches in defences and the Gnomes sound perfect for the cleaning only thing i don't want you to hire is Goblins i'll kill every single one i see no matter were or what the situation" Bolin walked over to the Pork chops and lifted the platter along with a selection of root vegetables. I dont suppose either of you discovered the kitchen yet I'm going to make us some of stew would you like me to make you some with human meat Lela.

After finding the Kitchen in the basement of the tower Bolin prepared the the stew, leaving the stew to cook over a low stove in the kitchen Bolin went into one of the bathrooms and shaved off his hair leaving strip of hair down the center of his forehead and un plaited his beard before trimming it off with a razor he found in the cabinet when he had finished shaving he styled the strip of hair into a Mohawk he was just finishing off as he smelt the stew wafting through the air telling him it was done before he called the others. I know you suggested a feast Rafe but it'd be better to wait a few days until our bodies adjust to richer foods again

After finishing his stew and cleaning his bowl Bolin went off to examine the lift which he discovered the pullies which allowed the lift to be raised or lowered had rotted away along with the ropes he decided to wait till lela had finished recovering her mana before he would forge new metal pullies and ask her if she could summon the several hundred feet of rope.

"I am fine with whatever, usually I prefer a fellow knight by my side but I do not have such a luxury. Regardless...actual food! It's been so long! I thought I would have never seen meat again! Or the sun...but hey, here we are now. Free people on the run and getting ready to accomplish their own mission. Although does everyone really need to summon orcs? Heck, I don't remember any evil overlord or people plotting for revenge ever used things besides orcs...but I am not a master tactician so...I am just going to sew up my silk and shut up now..." Rafe spoke as he disappeared into a changing room to pass the time while Bolin prepared the stew.

To think that you can shop using magic, using both money and mana. And he was not going to think how they managed to include human meat. Soon Rafe went to work, sewing the white silk together into a clerical outfit. It was large, had a hood and was also decorated with religious symbols. He then took off his armour minus the arm guards and leggings, placed the silk robes on and made sure to comb his hair before putting on a golden cross around his neck.

Rafe soon exited the changing room, went to the fifth floor and decided to make one of the rooms his and placed his weapons and armour inside. Most of his armour had signs of a dragonslayer knight, and his weapons had the power of electricity wwhich was a dead giveaway to his identity. So he had to change his weapons, maybe a mace? Or perhaps he can use his fists, he learn a bit about monk training and knew how to channel some of his energy into his fists. He should at least get some sort of magical item that possesses a healing quality at least, if he wanted to pass as a warrior priest he had to make sure he could heal the sick and injured.

Once he decided to only use his fists and a healing item, he went down to the basement where Bolin had prepared some stew. But before he rushed at the chance to eat, he looked at a mirror and examined himself. He was deffinitly different, without his armour and weapons it would be hard to guess his identity.

After a while of meditating, Lela felt refreshed. By that time, the smell of stew had made it up to the twelfth floor. Lela then made her way down and found a bowl of stew with the human meat in it. "Well Bolin, this tastes delicious." Lela said after having tasted some of it. After finishing the stew, she then said: "Well I thought about the servants and maybe we should have orcs as basic guards, demons to keep the orcs in line and manage the duties of the servants and golems for lifting and eventually cleaning. Orcs however can't live off nothing, so we would need to provide them with food and eventually erect them a couple buildings near the tower. Demons don't need food or mana, but some optionally still eat. Golems only need mana. A golem can function up to two years after being fully charged. The only issue is orcs only serve whom they respect or fear, whereas demons require a blood contract and respectful treatment. I remember when we had a demon servant in the castle, she looked no older than 20 and could have been a sweet human girl if it wasn't for her horns. I would have preferred demons only as they have something elegant about them. But you guys deserve to be involved in the decision."

"Anyways, I will go with the death priestess outfit until people start caring less about it. If I stay hidden for long enough, they may think I might have escaped somewhere far away or died during my escape." Lela said. "But that lift, a pulley seems a bit outdated, they should have levitating ones or mechanical ones by now. But that might be too costly for the time being."

"You two are lucky you can disguise yourselves as other humans I'm already going to be under suspicion everywhere i go due to the tensions between our peoples. if i didnt know you guys were in disguise id not know you both weren't not the real deal.

I don't know much about magical elevators but we dwarves use massive pulley driven ones in our mines to lift 1000's of tonnes of materials every day. we should find out some information about the missions you metioned in the shop and get a better lay out of the land around this tower and get imnformation on whats going on in the wider world

Once Rafe finished inspecting himself, he made himself a bowl of soup and sat down and made the sign of a cross. "I am going to have to get used to acting like a preist, it's been way too long since I have had to speak respectfully and calmly. That reminds me, you said...demon servents right? I may have once been a righteous man, however I have no problems with a demon as long as they try not to offer me any contracts, or do well...anything that people would dislike. As long as they are respectful then I have no problems at all. So, you are deciding on a death priestess outfit? I actually have no clue what they are...not even stories about them. First I heard of the word. And not to worry Bolin, I am sure things won't be too bad for you. It just takes some good people to represent their people. Still, I do hope thing go well for the start at least." It had been so long since he actually could talk to people. He was still getting used to the fact that there were now people who he could actually talk to.

"Well death priestesses are the apostles of Aena, the goddess of fate, life and peaceful death. They embrace the color black for their outfit due to history as there was once a time where murdering crusaders wore white and the death priestesses serves to heal that which can be healed or end the suffering of someone who can't be healed. They were popular among the poor and among villages. Two hundred years ago, they made an agreement with the church that allowed coexistence and understanding. The church would acknowledge the belief in Aena as folk religion and a separate institution, while the death priestesses would mainly just visit small towns and villages, places which the church barely had influence or were hugely unpopular. Strangely around the same time the church was failing in popularity and adopted Aena as the mother goddess into their belief to try to regain popularity, whereas only those in the church are aware that the mother goddess' name is Aena. So I should be in the clear." Lela explained.

"Anyways, I will try to summon some servants for us." She first started with the golems. It seems as if it required a great deal of mana as the summoning took over a minute just for two golems. Once the golems were there, Lela said: "Okay, prick your fingers to which a droplet of blood is visible, then touch each of the golems. Then they will obey your commands."

Next was to summon a demon. This ritual was different and lit up the room. Once the light dimmed. There was a cute young woman before them with horns and a demon tail. "Ready for duty my master!" She said. Lela then said: "Good. We need you to take care of the tower when we are gone. That means keeping the place clean and managing orcs and golems." "Alrighty. Where are these orcs?" The demon said. Lela then answered: "I will summon them immediately. By they way, do you have a name?" "Malea Crimsonthorn." The demon said. The demon was slightly shorter than Lela, almost as busty as Lela and had shoulder long white hair with a braid in the back. Her eyes were a turquoise color and her horns were short. She currently seemed to only wear a bikini top and a miniskirt. Lela had to get her clothes once she was done with the orcs.

Lela managed to summon a handful of orcs. Seven to be exact. "You got a job?" The head orc said. Lela then said: "Yes. We need security for the tower. What would you like in exchange?" "Well if this isn't a very dangerous neck of the woods. Three warm meals, ale, access to a smithy and our own quarters, preferably a hall or a house or two would be right." "I guess I can arrange that. You can stay on the second floor until I have regenerated enough mana to summon you a home. Once this place gets busier, I can maybe summon more of you." Lela replied.

"Now, guys, be respectful to the orcs, they might be a bit gruff but they seem to be more intelligent than what people usually know orcs to be. Now should we dress Malea as a maid or should she dress more ordinarily?" Lela asked.

Bolin pricked his finger like Lela told them then touched each golem in turn so they would obey him. he began circling the golems. " these guys seem tough enough for our purposes, good you got the kind with crystal slots so we can modify them with powers. Bolin was taken back by cute the demon looked, he had been expecting something demonic looking.

Looking over at the orcs. "They can use the forge and workshop on the seventh floor until we get them a smithy of there own. Which one of you is the leader and which is the smith as i will be holding you both responsible for the use of the seventh floor.

"I think we should have Malea dress more ordinarily but she should also have a choice. One other thing Lela do any of books mention the use of teleportals or teleportation spells.

"What are your skills Malea, how do you fight and keep your charges in line."

Rafe was interested by the death priestess story, of course it was a little awkward when she mentioned the crusaders and how they wore white and were murderers since he was wearing all white. Of course, when Lela summon fourth the golems and told them to prick their fingers, he was wary at first. Sure he was no longer religious and whatnot, but any mentioning of blood pacts or demon pacts always unerved him. Maybe because usually anything involving blood ends up taking your soul or something close to that but these were just regular golems. Right?

With a deep sigh, Rafe pricked his finger activating his golem. Alright everything was going good so far, now what else was Lela going to summon? And speak of the devil in a nearly litteral sense, she summoned a demon with only a bikini top and miniskirt. He almost caught himself staring at the demon but quickly turned around as to avert his eyes before they could wander. "W-well. I say she should wear o-ordinary clothing as well. The whole m-maid thing is a bit overused in a sense anyways." Rafe stuttered a bit. Alright, it was just a demon with almost no clothing. He just prayed it was just a normal demon to keep the orcs in line, not some sucubass or something dangerous like that. Just a normal demon...just a normal demon...

Finally what calmed his mind the most was the orcs, alright something relatively normal for a change. They were just orcs, strong green warriors that would act as security. "Anyways Lela, does the book have any artefacts used for healing? In order to complete my disguise I would need one. Also...Malea, what type of demon are you?" Rafe spoke, his back still facing the group. He hoped he did not regret his question

Lela summoned Malea a blue high-collared dress. Malea then said: "Thanks. Well anyways, I am just a normal demon and the daughter of one of the demons of higher status. But anyways, thanks for the dress it is a bit colder here than in the demon world. The demon world is warm and doesn't allow long sleeved clothing or long skirts."

Lela then answered to the guys: "Well I saw something about teleportals and the book is bound to have artifacts for healing in it. Teleportation spells might be in another book, but I will first have to go and study in the library to learn more than just summoning."

The orcs then went ahead to answer Bolin's question. The leader orc stood forward and said: "The name is Kanzark. I am the leader of this pack. If you are looking for a smithy, we all know a fair share of the craft. Uak here is probably the most knowledgeable on it though."
