There's practically nothing about Eva's features that can distinguish her from regular humans, except for the fact that she is beautiful. With dark brunette hair that goes to the center of her back, she usually likes to leave it in its natural waves than do anything fancy with it. Her brown eyes are not very distinguished from the rest of her features but with a deeper look, it reflects a sense of warmth and comfort.

Even through the souls lost throughout her lifetime, Eva retains a cheerful personality, often accompanied and enhanced by her genuine smile. She loves to smile and laugh, which often brings happiness and cheer to those around her. She is a very genuine and truthful person who will never utter a lie nor intentionally hurt someone. Eva sees the best in everyone and will always attempt to bring out what she sees in people with her cheery personality and her soothing presence.
Eva is perhaps naive about the truth of the world, for she believes she can save everyone simply by taking them under her wing. Although she has lived for a very long time, she still does not understand what the humans mean when they say life is not worth living without love. She has yet felt anything other than platonic love for the souls she attempted to save and thus is truly lost within the human world for she does not understand them fully. Perhaps that is the reason why she could not save all the souls she took under her protection.
Although she's not generally outgoing, she has a confident outlook on life and people and always believes she can save every single soul on Earth. Many times, that belief has been abused by the souls lost, but in the end she still believes that somehow she can show these souls that life is worth living for. Throughout her life, she has been trying to find the one thing that can help a soul continue living and believe in the happiness of life. While she has yet to find that one thing, she takes down all her experiences and the souls she protected inside her little picture diary, in the hopes that one day she'll finally come to understand the humans.
While she's genuine and cheery, she also fears. With her ability to read into people's souls, she often could not stand the loneliness and the pain many of these souls bear. Death is the most terrifying thing to her, for when death comes, everything becomes white and silent and a feeling of emptiness drains over her. Being the Soul Reader, she cannot break herself away from the sadness of the world around her but only attempts to soothe them with her own personality and actions. At times, she can break down from the pressure and finds herself devoid of hope for life, much like the souls she's lost throughout her life time.

She is absolutely terrified of souls dying and leaving the world without retaining their faith to God. To her, the most terrifying idea would be to believe life is no longer worth living for. When the soul she was protecting, Marco, died on December 25th, 1996, death became her sole fear, for she cannot understand the emptiness nor the loneliness these souls must have felt seconds before death took over.
Breaking the Rules
God is her father and her creator, and to break his rules is to break her connection from him. She believes in God with all her heart and will follow him to the ends of the Earth. To her, his rules are her sole link to him on the face of the Earth where desperation and sorrow roam free. Without the rules to bind herself to him, she would feel lost and empty within the strange human world.

On that rainy winter night, Marco Vista died before her eyes. From then on, she's always blamed the rain for bringing sorrow and darkness into the human world. On rainy nights, she feels exceptionally lonely and often refuses to leave her home. The mere drops of rain pushes all the memories of that little boy back into her mind. Rain brings death, and that is why she fears it.

Eva doesn't remember when she was created, only what she was created for--to bring hope and faith to those that fell into times of desperation. To her, God is her father and her creator, and what he says is the Law of the universe. To break his rules is to deny him as her father, and to Eva, that means losing everything she has ever believed in. For God, she'll sacrifice anything and everything. The rules are there for a reason.
"Can I be considered cruel? For following the rules?"
Throughout her lifetime, she has saved many lives but has lost just as many, for many humans are too far gone to be saved. She has taken the roles of best friend and sister to many lives, taking them under her wing and protection in the hopes that she can somehow make them believe once again, perhaps not only in the Lord but also in life and happiness. However, she was never able to break past God's set rules, and thus, many souls were lost due to her stubbornness in following the rules right down to its letters.
On December 25th, 1996, a life was lost in the frozen snow. A boy named Marco Vista, aged 13 at the time, became a soul she needed to protect and save. Eva became a sister to him, went to school with him and protected him with all her might. The 13-year-old was bullied throughout his life time, abused by his parents, and lost all his will to live. For two years she remained by his side, attempting to ease his pain, heal his scars and comfort him in times of need. As the years dragged on, Marco came under Major Depression, resorting to cutting himself to ease the pain. When she found the razor, she was heartbroken. On December 24th, 1996, she held him in her lap, humming to him a song about love.
"Tell me, Eva, have you ever loved?"
"No, I've never loved."
"How do you live without love?"
"Well, there's got to be more to life than romance, right?"
"Life is about loving people... I don't know who I love."
"I don't know about you, but I definitely love you. We're together, no matter what, right?"
"Promise?"
"That's a promise."
One day after that day, Marco's father chased him out of his house. The 13-year-old wandered the streets, alone at night as he looked for the girl who promised to always be with him, but Eva had elsewhere to be, another soul to save. As he made his way through the cold, rainy streets on Christmas night, he went into her apartment, and sat on the rooftop.
"Marco? Hey.. Get down from there.."
"You promised we'll stay together."
"I did. We will. I've promised you didn't I? Now please, come down."
"You said you loved me. Lies. All of you are liars!"
"Marco, no. PLEASE!"
At 12:00A.M., December 25th, 1996, the little boy took his life by taking a leap off of the rooftop.

From that year on, Eva took on the hobby of photography, taking down each moment of the lives of the souls she pulled under her protection. The boy's words remained in her mind, even years after. In her pictures, she sought for the love Marco spoke about, but was never able to find it. In her little book, she put in each picture of the souls she once knew, and their life's story. She remembers them all and kept them all in her heart. To her, every single soul is worth saving, but are they worth breaking the rules for?
