Jason stared at Alison, his mouth slightly open. Her words really took a jab at him. He understood why she was upset, but he didn't have a clue why he would plan such a thing to happen. "I'm sorry about last night. I didn't plan for that to happen. All I know is that people were getting pretty suspicious of us and they wanted to know, but I'm pretty sure those people that took the picture were trying to have sex in my room. They looked pretty drunk." Jason took a breath and rested his hand on her should "Alison... I love you. I would have never done anything like that to ruin us." He put the key in the ignition and turned the car on.
"Let's just get out of here. Being at school today wasn't the best decision." Jason slowly drove out of the parking lot. He wasn't sure if Alison would forgive him, but Jason just wanted to get away from all the mess.

Alison sighed and just nodded her head, signaling that she heard what he said about the pictures, though when he said the big three words, she couldn't believe what she had just heard. She wasn't sure what she felt for him, if she felt anything for him at all and he told her he loved her. This just became extremely awkward for her and there was no way for her to get out of it because she didn't want to go back into that building. So instead, she just sat there in silence for a couple moments as he started the car.
After on the highway she finally glanced over at him and spoke, "I appreciate that you love me, but um, I'm not ready for that. I'm not even sure how I feel about being friends with you...please don't take that the wrong way, I just don't know how to explain my feelings very well," Alison explained before redirecting her attention out the passenger side window and kept her ears open to hear his response.

Jason was upset with her response. His face showed no emotion. He didn't want to seem mad, but he was blowing up on the inside. She made it worse by just saying that she might not want to be friends. Jason drove her straight home. He pulled up outside her house and stopped. He pulled up on the emergency brake, putting it on. He reached over Alison and pulled the door handle towards the both of them and pushed out on the door. "I'll see you later I guess. If not... then that's fine too."
Jason turned his head to the other side, looking out his window. He had nothing else to say to Alison. He knew that saying that he loved her was sort of pushing it, but he meant it. There was no other girl he had spent more time with trying to please and just be a couple with. He thought Alison was the one for him. He must have thought wrong.

After her response, the car happened to fall to silence. Neither of them were saying anything and tension was definitely building in the air. She knew she should have just kept quiet and figured out exactly how to word things before saying anything. But it was too late for her to fix things. She was forced out of his car.
The brunette climbed out and stood on the sidewalk, "I'm sorry," she stated just as a single tear slid down her cheek. Alison wasn't sure if there was anything she could say or do to fix this, she might have just ruined her only friendship she ever had. Just because she wasn't even sure how she felt about being friends with him that didn't mean that she didn't want him to be in her life, she just wasn't ready to say the I love you's or to even be in a relationship.
She turned on her heels and began walking back to the place she dreaded more than anywhere else in the world, the place that she had no choice to return to every night, the place she was nothing more than unwanted and it clearly showed. But after taking a couple steps into the yard she changed her mind and instead returned to the sidewalk and started walking in a random direction. She would much rather walk aimlessly around town then go back to that forsaken place, especially with the state of emotion she was currently in.

Jason knew he screwed things up. He regretted what he had said, but he knew that he actually did love her. It was odd for him to say such a thing since commitment to a relationship was never anything Jason had on his mind for his high school career, but with Alison, everything changed. He couldn't just let her walk away. With that in mind, Jason got up and went after her. "Alison, don't go. I'm sorry for making you feel like that. I've never said that to anyone before and I didn't know how you would take it. I'm sorry for the way it may have made you feel, but I really do like you. I've never really tried to be more committed to anyone before I met you, but I just didn't want to lose you."
Jason took a breath after he finished his short speech. He knew that he made himself seem like an asshole earlier, and he was being one, but he didn't mean to screw everything up. He has never really dealt with a situation like that before, and going into the way he did... well he screwed up and felt awful about it.
