Childhood/Family Life:
The head of the Arnault clan is Bernard Arnault, age 67, who is a French business magnate, investor and art collector. He has been the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LVMH since 1989. From 1973 to 1990, Bernard was in a marriage that produced four children. Following his divorce from this wife, he spent some years dating and returning his focus to his business. In 1997, he met Jacqueline McEnroe, a young artist who was living in New York City at the time. The two began dating, and wed a year later. In 1999, they had their first child, a son named Nolan, and everything seemed to be going great for the new little family. As always, when things seem too good to be true, they probably are, and the Arnaults got a wake up call when Bernard received a legal document in the mail demanding that he submit to a paternity test to two children who were born just months after their son. A one night stand that Bernard had had during his marriage produced the two little girls, and though it nearly broke up his marriage with Jacqueline, after some begging and pleading, she agreed not to leave him. On of the stipulations of that agreement, though, was that he fight for custody of his daughters, and surprisingly (or maybe not surprisingly, given that the woman he was battling worked at a burlesque club he had visited), a hefty sum of cash was enough for the woman to relinquish custody of the two girls that she had never wanted in the first place, either. Though their first few months on the planet were hectic, its not something that Charlotte and Juliette were ever really forced to relive, because Jacqueline treated and raised them just like they were her own children.

There was nothing really abnormal about Charlotte, growing up. She was a happy kid, one who enjoyed participating in a multitude of sports and activities, such as soccer, basketball, lacrosse, swimming, art classes and violin lessons. She made friends fairly easily, and did exceptionally well in school. Her relationship with her parents was good, and she got along with her siblings well enough, especially Nolan. She was more of a tomboy growing up than a girly girl, so having a brother who was just a few months older than her was a lot of fun. As Charlie got older, though, that tomboy side of her began to set her apart from her friends in the Upper East Side, who became fixated on designer clothes and makeup and looking pretty for the approval of their male classmates. She didn't want to go to debutante balls or spend hours in a salon getting her hair done. She wanted to be hopping on the subway and getting off at a random stop, so that she could have an adventure, trying to find her way back home on her own. She wanted to be in Central Park playing baseball with her brother, or in the library looking for a book that she had been recommended by a teacher. All of that pretty and prissy stuff didn't interest her, and maybe she had pushed her friends away too, but she felt like they were the ones pushing her away. It led to a rebellious phase that she still hasn't quite fallen out of yet, but it came back to bite her at the end of eighth grade, when she was caught trying marijuana for the first time in the girl's bathroom at school, with a friend. Both girls were asked to leave the school for good, following the end of the year, which was the nice way of being expelled when you came from money and could afford to buy your way out of any blemishes on your record. Her parents were furious with her, and felt like getting her out of the state and giving her a fresh start would be the best possible option. One of Bernard's friends raved about the education that his daughter got at Crossroads, so it was ultimately where they decided to send their three children for high school. Charlotte excelled at Crossroads and received an academic to Fulton University, upon graduation.

Personality

Image
Image
Image
Quirks//Habits//Oddities:
She has a habit of playing with her bottom lip, in the form of biting it, or pulling on it when she's bored. Everyone close to her knows that she has a bad tendency of "going ghost" for days at a time, where she won't answer texts or calls, for no good reason, other than her feeling like she needs space. She always drinks a cup of green tea after breakfast.

Good personality traits:
Humble, independent, bright, laid back

Bad personality traits:
Can be very reclusive, guarded, sensitive, rebellious

Personality:
Out of the Arnault twins, Charlotte is definitely the one who is more down to earth and humble. She appreciates the finer things in life and isn't ditching her designer jackets for thrift shop ones, but she also isn't the kind of person who's going to rack up thousands of dollars worth of bills over clothes that she knows she's never actually going to wear. Compared to her sister, she's also far more independent. Another one of her positive character traits comes in the form of being intelligent. She's extremely bright and always has been, and probably would have been regardless of the tutors and expensive schools her parents were able to afford her. Academics have always interested her and she thinks that her introverted personality plays into this. She's the kind of girl who a lot of the time, would truly rather be sitting at home in her pajamas with a cup of tea, studying for her history midterm, over going to some crazy party. Surprisingly, while it's a common side to her, it's not a side that a lot of people would attribute with her character. She doesn't have the reputation for being some sweet little bookworm who stays in every Friday night to catch up on the latest documentary on the History Channel.

More so, Charlotte is known for the personality that she possesses when her friends convince her to get out of the house, because this is the personality that she tends to possess around people in general - regardless of whether it's in the classroom or at a party. The laid back, quiet and thoughtful side of her is reserved for when she's alone, or with very close friends. Otherwise, people see the side of Charlotte that's rough around the edges. She's abrasive and callous, often finding amusement out of calling people out on their bullshit or purposely bringing things up to make them uncomfortable or the situation awkward. She does it because she thinks it's funny, and it's relevant to the sense of humor that she possesses that is somewhat dark, manipulative, and definitely sarcastic. She prides herself in being quick with comebacks, so witty is definitely a word that she would appreciate being used to describe her. As noted, Charlotte has an introverted side to her that surprises a lot of people, but because of this, she tends to be more irritable than normal people would be, when forced into social situations for too long. Her kinda-can-be-considered-playful attitude because actually mean, and she isn't exactly fun to be around. Her social skills could definitely use some improvement, and she's well aware of that. With that in mind, she doesn't mind people being blunt and upfront with her, and pointing out her flaws, because that's how she is with other people. She's sometimes too blunt, but in her defense, she'll only dish what she can take.

One thing that's noteworthy about Charlotte, is that she seems to "go big or go home" in most things that she does. If she's studying for an exam, she's studying to get an 100% on it, and not a point less. If she's at home in bed, she's going to binge watch as much of the series she's watching as she can until she passes out. If she's out with her friends, she's drinking and smoking and getting herself into as much trouble is possible up until a point of getting arrested or passing out. So, while her sense of humor and tendencies to be blunt can be off putting to a lot of people, she's also an enjoyable friend to have around. What might be the most important trait about her, is that to her friends, she's extremely loyal and trustworthy.

Greatest joys in life:
Charlotte adores her friends, and she loves a good party, but more than anything, she appreciates alone time. She loves binge watching shows and just being completely lazy in bed after a long weekend of being crazy.

Greatest fears:
Most of her fears are generic ones, like being kidnapped or raped, or failing at life. A more specific fear, that she's had to deal with more frequently at Fulton than ever before, is her own sister. She doesn't fear Juliette, but she fears for her some times. As frequently as they argue, Juliette is her sister and Charlotte knows that Jules is more susectible to bad influences than she is. Juliette is the one who has always been more sensitive and emotional, so especially now that they're in the same "clique", due to their sorority (which has never happened before), she is forced to deal with any and all drama that her sister finds herself in.

Life philosophy:
"Open your mouth only if what you are going to say is more beautiful than silence."

College Career

Thoughts on Greek Life:
Charlotte is well aware that Alpha is the last sorority that most of her childhood friends would have imagined she'd end up in. Most people wouldn't have even imagined her joining a sorority to begin with, and honestly, she didn't picture herself ever joining one either. It was only after she had committed to Fulton (and at the time, this was before Juliette had committed as well), that her mother started getting in her ear about how much is would mean to her if she pledged Alpha, given that her mother had pledged Alpha at Fulton years ago when she was in college. Charlotte mulled over the idea, only out of guilt, and though she thought Juliette coming to Fulton too would allow her to get off the hook for that Alpha pledge, it did the opposite. Now, not only did her mother want both girls to join Alpha for legacy reasons, but she also insisted that Charlotte do to look out for Juliette. Surprisingly, Charlotte has adjusted fairly well to the Alpha culture. It's still apparent that she doesn't bleed Alpha like a lot of her sisters, and truthfully, she still thinks sororities are stupid, but she isn't miserable as an Alpha.

Plans for after college:
Charlotte's father still insists that she should go into business as her major, and then come work for LMVH. It's an option that she has not completely pushed off of the table yet, but she still favors the idea of going to medical school after Fulton, and after all of the residencies and fellowships that come after that, becoming a pathologist.

Most people spend Sunday trying to prepare themselves for the droll and unwanted responsibilities that come about come the dreaded Monday morning. They sip their tea, drink that last bit of wine, and lay in bed trying to decide if they're really going to be petty enough to pretend like they're sick in this call to their office, scrounging up every excuse in the book as to why they can't go to work, school, or wherever the daylight happens to take them. However, for the students at Fulton University, instead of the lackadaisical doings of their typical Sunday evenings, the air around campus (and throughout the city) is alive with anticipation as people pre-game and prepare for a night of carefree drinking, dancing, and even drama...

...especially drama, particularly when the Greek life students are involved.

Some students are still in dorms, apartments and houses getting ready for the Guys in Ties & Girls in Pearls event hosted by Fulton's own Greek Life Alumna Association. Girls are just finishing the finishing touches to their hair or just sliding into velvet dresses, lacing up and slipping into heels of various styles. Sipping on glasses of wine or champagne, giggling over their shared excitement over how the night could unfold and the plans they've already made. Maybe even the tipsiness they already have. And guys are fastening on cuff links, straightening up the suits some just got from dry-cleaning or delivered by their favorite tailoring services. Quaffing glasses of scotch or taking shots to the head in preparation for how absolutely trashed they're bound to be by night's end.

Regardless of where everyone is - even those who are known for being rather prompt as opposed to fashionably late - it's bound to be a night of sensuous, luxurious, riveting and possibly even scandalous fun...so just like the Alumna Association asked on twitter, where can we find you?

"You're sure I should wear this dress, right? It really doesn't make me look... wide?" Juliette questioned, her face contorted with self-doubt as she peered at her reflection in the mirror on the wall. Turning sideways, she craned her neck to the side to glance at the back of her reflection, only to feel just as restless and disappointed with what she saw. Nothing ever looked good enough on her, in her opinion, and it was a miracle that she had actually settled on something tonight, even considering the way she was still doubting it.

Ironically, Charlotte was feeling just as insecure tonight, even though that wasn't a typical emotion for her. She wasn't the kind of girl who liked getting all dressed up, and while she would wear a sundress or romper from time to time, gowns and cocktail dresses were things she only sported on very rare occasions. Those occasions were usually just family events that she was dragged to, back at home, but ever since she pledged Alpha, she had been forced to black tie events that demanded the attire, as well. Tonight was a perfect example of that, and considering that she had very little in her closet that fit the dress code well enough, she had to borrow an ensemble from her sister's wardrobe. Even if Charlotte felt out of place in this sort of attire, though, she was never very vocal about it. She didn't like complaining about things that she couldn't change, and even if she didn't feel completely herself in her outfit, she wasn't dreading tonight's party. It wasn't an Alpha/Beta-only event, and that meant that there was a good chance that she could have fun. "You look better than fine, Jules. Stop asking that," Charlotte insisted sternly, though her voice hinted at the kindness she intended to say it with. "Everything about your outfit is perfect, now would you please finish painting my other hand?" she continued, waving the one hand that had no nail polish on it, while the other rested on the bathroom counter top drying.

"Yes, yes, I'm getting to it!" Juliette nearly groaned, her eyes remaining on her reflection for a moment longer, before she stepped back towards Charlotte. She carefully took a seat on the stool by the counter, making sure not to wrinkle her dress too much, as she picked up the brush from the bottle of the nude polish. "You need to be more patient. It's not my fault that you literally decided to wait until the last minute to paint your nails. I specifically asked you to come get a manicure with me yesterday, and what did you say? That you were too--" Juliette was cut off of her mini-rant by Charlotte, who was already rolling her eyes as she finished the sentence with, "Too busy, right, right." She looked pointedly at Juliette as she continued, her voice laced with annoyance. "Well, I also didn't know that Audrey was going to act like my nails being painted black was equivalent to committing a war crime."

"She just wanted you to look nice, and not goth," Juliette objected, her voice softer now, as if Charlotte had personally criticized her by referencing Audrey's reaction like that. Nonetheless, she turned her attention to finishing painting the last five nails that she had neglected minutes before, when she took a break to start worrying about her own outfit. A couple of minutes passed before Juliette's precision paid off, and the nails were finished. "I am literally beyond talented and amazing for doing that for you while wearing a white dress," she praised herself, looking over the nails once more to make sure that they really were perfect, before standing up and returning to her spot by the mirror as Charlotte blew on the tips of her fingers in an attempt to get them to dry faster. "My body looks disgusting in this, but it's too late to change now," she reiterated, talking to herself more than to her sister. Again, she stepped back towards Charlotte, but only to grab the champagne glass that she had emptied minutes before. One more glance in the mirror, and she would be ready to down an entire bottle of champagne in one gulp.

"Don't get too carried away tonight, Jules," Charlotte said, a knowing smile on her face once her sister had taken the empty glass and started to leave the bathroom. "And don't you get too carried away with doing heroin or whatever it is you do with Michaela and Jazmyn and the rest of your weird friends," Juliette called out back to her, not even bothering to glance back in Charlotte's direction. The interaction was typical of the sisters, who could go from helping each other to bickering in the blink of an eye, and just as much as Charlotte didn't want Juliette to drink too much tonight, Juliette also genuinely didn't want Charlotte to spend too much time socializing with those girls. It would only reflect poorly on her, she believed, and more than anything, Juliette know that Audrey wouldn't be happy about it.

While Juliette hurried downstairs in search of more champagne, knowing that she didn't have much time to get buzzed before she had to leave, Charlotte lingered in the bathroom to give her nails an extra minute to dry. With the hand that was already dry, she texted her two best friends, who unfortunately, happened to live in the Zeta house. The text in her group chat to Michaela and Jazmyn read, "You two bitches better not clique up tonight like usual! Not here for that tn!"

"I’ve been tripping, had a blue dream
Breathe into me, you know
Inhale, exhale, I'm so dizzy
They can't save me, I'm gone
Woah, oh, they don't go as hard as I do, oh
I brought some to the party for you, oh
I'll mix it up and serve it for you
Party favors for you
Party favors for you."

Michaela harmonized along with Tinashe's sultry dulcet tones using her lower register, head bobbing slightly as she fixed up her pearl jewelry for her ears, idly pushing the sharper tips into the holes of her ears. The second floor bathroom was slightly hazy; partly from the showers that had just taken place, but mostly at the moment due to the fact that the girls had been particularly rolling up and passing a few blunts. Much like the one laying beside both her Samsung and the Sephora eyeshadow kit Mickey had "borrowed" from her mother during her last week in California. While their complexions were definitely different in that Diamond's pale skin tone was offset by a nearly perpetual tan, the brown palette had made Mickey fall in love and it wasn't like Diamond was particularly in love with makeup. The most she did, in the first place, was wear concealer and maybe a little foundation. She wouldn't miss it too much. At least, that was what Mickey had surmised.

"You better bring yo ass, Jazzy, if don't want me to finish this blunt without you," Mickey forewarned the girl from the bathroom, knowing that their bedroom door was still open and that the music wasn't loud enough to overpower the sound of her yell to her roommate. A few of the other Zetas were either still downstairs sipping on the drinks they had been fooling around with in the kitchen trying to make or already on their way to cars so that they could get to the venue. For sophomore year, Mickey had gotten to bring the Camry to Florida, which had meant driving with her Dad all the way from California to Florida. A long trip, sure, but it was worth it when he left the car with her and boarded a flight back home. It meant that she really couldn't order out as much as she had during freshman year as her money honestly had to go to groceries for cooking and then for gas, and the little bit of money she was required to put down for the car note. Again, all of it was worth it. Mickey had hated the Miami public transportation system, much more than she had ever hated Los Angeles'. And while she didn't take too many things as seriously, this was one she was going to take seriously - if only for the sake of not having to give the transit system another dime of her money.

Besides, she didn't want to have to worry about rushing herself to get ready for events like these because someone else was giving her a ride or Uber driver was impatiently waiting. While Mickey had never claimed being a complete and utter girly girl before, since coming to college, she actually...well, cared. Before, she had been the queen of surprising people every few weeks by wearing a maxi skirt. It hadn't been much and there was usually some kind of indie or even African print, and it was never like Mickey had shied away from lace material and halter tops. However, much like now, her style had become even more feminized to the point that there were far more dresses and rompers in her closet. Diamond had bought her the orange jumpsuit over the summer and since Mickey wasn't in the mood to deal with bitching over dresses, it worked. Right along with the Nasty Gal heels that had been in her closet for almost a year with only one wear on its resume. She had even installed the two-strands twists that almost resembled her brown hair as its base color with red, dark brown and white peeking through. Once Mickey felt a bit readier than she had when she first came into the bathroom, she blew a kiss at the mirror, grinning at the dark reddish color that coated her pouty lips. Just as she started to gather her stuff, her phone vibrated and she peered at it to see a text from Charlotte. Grinning, she gathered the rest of her stuff and responded to her friend, and also decided to text her favorite Fulton supplier.

To: Lottie Baby <3
U know i'd never 4get u baby. U coming over or should we swing by? Got another joint somewhere.

To: Cassie
Got anything special tonite?

Her heels clicked along the linoleum as Mickey headed out of the bathroom and towards her bedroom, not even looking up at Jaz as she checked her twitter timeline to see if anyone was texting about the party. "Ready, chocolate drop? My baby sounds lonely," she remarked, putting away most of her makeup in favor of grabbing a clutch so that she could put the stuff she would need for the night. "Can't keep her waiting too long."

Surprisingly, it only took about a half an hour after getting home from her dinner meeting with Hudson, for Audrey to get ready for the Guys in Ties & Girls in Pearls event. Her hair and makeup had already been done before dinner, so it only took a few touch ups to those, and getting dressed, for her to be ready for the night. Of course, she wasn't just done there. Once she decided that she looked flawless, she had to make sure that her girls did, as well. Audrey made her way through the two floors of bedrooms in the Alpha house, knocking on doors and inspecting outfits, throwing out compliments left and right, though they were all well deserved. To those who didn't deserve compliments, Audrey offered constructive criticism, pulling dresses out of closets, pinning back flyaway strands of hair, and handing out pearl necklaces and bracelets and earrings from her own stash. Her girls needed to look perfect, because as always, Audrey felt like any imperfection of theirs would reflect poorly on her, and anyone who knew Audrey knew that things had to be perfect. No exceptions. She had gotten through nearly all of the girls, sending many of them off in the Ubers that they had called, and insisting that they looked phenomenal. She hadn't cross paths with only a few girls, including the Arnaults, and Naomi, and she was in route to check on the latter as she sent out text messages to the former, and to Yaya, who wasn't in the house.

To: Ya Ya
Sounds good, love. I'm almost on my way. Make sure our girls behave until I get there ;)

To: Charlotte, Juliette
Charlotte, you and I are going to ride to the party together. We need to talk about some things. Jules, I told Kim and Gemma to wait for you, or you can ride with Naomi. I don't think Abby has left either.

Audrey didn't mention that Charlotte would be riding with her and Weston and Hudson, but that was unimportant right now. Right now, what Audrey was focusing on was knocking on Naomi's bedroom door. After she checked on her best friend, she would deal with Charlotte and Weston and seeing how that played out. She reminded herself that there was no need to worry about it anyway, because she would get her way. She always did, and with Hudson likely already prepping Weston for what was going to happen at this very moment, Audrey was sure that things would go just as they planned. "Omi, open up! Show me what my competition for tonight looks like! And if you're Uber is on the way, make sure there's an extra seat for my beautiful Little. I'm going to borrow yours for a few minutes, so we'll swap," she said playfully through the girl's closed bedroom door.

Jazmyn had smoked before she started getting ready, about an hour ago, so she wasn't too worried about finishing off the blunt that Michaela was talking about. Considering that she was already working on her second glass of vodka lemonade, she didn't think that she needed much else in her system right now. However, there was no denying that part of the reason for why she wasn't running over to take the last drag of Mickey's blunt was that she was focused on applying eyeliner. It was the third attempt on this eye, and she was getting frustrated at how each and every time she tried, it always either ended up being darker than the other side, or lighter, or winged longer, or just messed up in some other way. She didn't answer Michaela right away, instead, investing all of her attention into the final steps of her makeup, and it was only when she was done and Mickey was back in their room, that she acknowledged her. She had read Charlotte's text too, but before she could respond to it through text or aloud to Mickey, Mickey beat her to it, only causing Jazmyn to roll her eyes twice as hard as she would have to just Charlotte's text. After years of knowing Michaela and Charlotte, Jazmyn was still incredibly puzzled on how the two had managed to keep their relationship platonic. It didn't take a rocket scientist to see how much sexual tension existed there, and considering that Michaela was involved, it was all the more shocking that sex hadn't already been a thing of the past for those two.

"Girl, your 'baby' is going to do what she always does at parties like these - complain about how we're ditching her, while she lets those Alpha bitches keep her on a leash all night," Jazmyn said, as she picked up her bag from her bed and put her phone, credit card, ID, and ticket inside. "I thought by now you would have taught Princess that you're the only one who's allowed to keep her tied up," she added in teasingly, as she smirked in Michaela's direction. While Jazmyn thought that Mickey's crush on Charlotte was cute, yet long overdue and obvious, she and Charlotte had more of a tendency to clash. They were still very good friends, and had always existed as a trio, with Mickey included, but Jazmyn was always the one to call Charlotte out on how she wasn't quite as humble and simple as she liked to claim, hence the "Princess" moniker. Sometimes, Jazz insisted that she was no better than the sister that Charlotte loved to complain about."But speaking of that, then, I guess in your case, the Alphas aren't lying when they say that their reality is something that us Zetas can only dream about, because you've been dreaming about that for how long, and still haven't been able to work that magic of yours on your baby?" Jazmyn was ready to leave by then, and she grabbed her now-empty glass with the intent of leaving it in the kitchen on their way out.

Mickey good-naturedly rolled her eyes at Jaz's reminder of Charlotte's current affiliations, partly out of playfulness but equally out of mild annoyance. Michaela wasn't the one who typically allowed much to bother her. Most things didn't even phase her, not unless it was the juiciest gossip or some hot action. She just wasn't programmed to care that much. And yet, the Alphas - or better yet, the Alpha president - rubbed her the wrong way. In fact, Mickey could actually say for once in her life that she had someone she genuinely did not like. A part of it was her own jealousy that she really hated acknowledging. The side of her that had been so adamant about denying her probably obvious feelings for Charlotte, the side of her that demanded the Arnault's attention - in any way that she could have it - and absolutely hated the fact that Charlotte was being requested more and more to stay away from them. The other part of it was simply not liking being told what to do, particularly by an authority she didn't have to listen to. Like, whoever died and told Audrey she ran everyone, but particularly Michaela, obviously lied on their death bed because the bitch could try all she wanted to. But Mickey rarely listened to anyone. And she damn sure wasn't going to start for some random chick who was only two years older than herself.

"Don't be crass, buttercup," she exclaimed, grinning salaciously at Jazmyn joking about her tying Charlotte up. Which really was a nice thought - nope. Mickey wasn't even going to think about it, even if - NOPE. See, for all of her impulsiveness, Michaela had some semblance of self-control. Wavering, sure, but it was there. She scooped her keys up as she continued. "Gotta work her up to the harder kinks. Don't wanna put too much pressure on her too soon." It was a running joke among them; Mickey's...foray into the, for lack of better words, kinkier side of sex. It wasn't a dramatization; Mickey had done some things. It probably wasn't as in depth as her suggestive phrasing and audacious personality alluded to, but there was some experience. She chose, though, to ignore Jaz's comment about the length of time it had taken for her to get anywhere with Charlotte. And by anywhere, even Mickey could acknowledge, they both knew it meant nowhere. And the only response to that for Michaela was that Charlotte wasn't like any of the other people she had ever wanted.

If Mickey wanted a person or a thing, she went for it. It was one of the positive things professors and really any authority figure could all agree upon. She aspired to be something or do something, it was done. And particularly with her conquests, there had rarely been one she had not bagged. Michaela didn't see herself as some exotic beauty, but she knew she had a pretty cute face and a very nice ass to hold on to. She knew she was a looker in that light, despite her display of arrogance offsetting the actual humility she possessed in terms of her physical appearance. If she really wanted just sex with a person, she could go for it. That was never the issue. For one, she and Charlotte were best friends. There were a lot of things Mickey fucked around with or acted flippant about, including her former relationship with Yuda, but her friendships - particularly with her two main ones - were off-limits to her reckless behavior. She had her principles and considering it's been practically seven years, almost a decade, she wasn't trying to have sex and ruin things. Particularly because she didn't want that responsibility on her shoulders. It probably said something that she could make out with Jaz - albeit drunkenly - and they still be cool, but that was where the other problem lay. It wasn't just sex with Charlotte.

As much as Mickey reveled in being a sensual person who sought out her own gratification, as much as people had to say something about her promiscuity, Mickey didn't want just sex with Charlotte. And she may be in denial about it to everyone else, but there was one person she knew for a fact she couldn't lie to: herself. And possibly Jaz, but that was besides the point. One night wasn't going to be enough; she was selfish like that. She always touched Charlotte, but she wanted to really touch Charlotte. Hold her in hand in public (and to think, the might Mickey Vaughn being an actual sap, can you believe it!), pull her into her lap, and kiss her (because um, hello, how are you just gonna have gorgeous ass lips but no one can touch? That's entirely unfair) whenever she wanted - needless to say, she would want to ask for more than she was allowed as a best friend and that's what they needed to be. Best friends - only best friends. Besides, Charlotte was great and humored her from time to time, but everyone knew that she didn't feel even remotely the same. Mickey made everyone uncomfortable at some point, of course Charlotte reacted to her. Luckily, instead of having to deal with actually confronting Jazmyn's point, Mickey saw a response from Charlotte that made her frown slightly and take a long pull of the joint. "Welp, apparently, princess Ariel's turned into Ursula for the night cuz now Char's just gonna have to meet us there," Mickey declared before meeting Jaz's eyes. "Let's go. I need an actual drink - have I told you how much I hate that bitch? Cuz I do, hate her, I mean. Like, I'm pretty sure she's hiding some latent gay feels for her Alphas, which is why she's so possessive, but geesh."

Jazmyn and Michaela's senses of humor were very similar, with both having a tendency to be daring, or even crass, as Michaela put it. Even though Jaz liked to play unbothered most of the time, like nothing had enough shock factor to really take her by surprise, it would be a lie to say that sometimes, her conversations with Mickey even had her laughing at how out there they could be. That was the case now, as the smirk on her face was impossible to wipe off, and she could only shake her head. "All I can say is that I got more than I bargained for when I became friends with you, Mickey," she laughed, a reaction that was in response to nearly everything that had just come out of the girl's mouth. She was ready to leave too, but took Michaela's perfume off of the girl's dresser and sprayed them both with it before heading out of the bedroom. "This doesn't seem like the kind of party where weed should be our signature scent," she teased.

{With dialogue added in by Miserable}
____________________________________________
Juliette was in the kitchen, having poured herself another glass of champagne, when she got the text that Audrey had sent to both her and Charlotte. The message had made her frown, only because she was annoyed that Audrey wanted to socialize with Charlotte more than her. Putting the attention-needy side of her to rest, she knew that Charlotte was probably in trouble, given that her only interactions with Audrey tended to focus around Audrey lecturing Charlotte for being a bad Alpha, but Juliette still wanted to frown over the idea of her Big wanting to spend time with anyone other than her. Charlotte was just as displeased with the text message as Juliette was, groaning audibly after reading it. She was in the process of leaving the bathroom now, having decided that her outfit was as good as it was going to get, and being satisfied with her nails being almost completely dry by then. Charlotte was already over the theme of tonight's party, but she had been counting on it being bearable if she could spend the night with her real friends, and not the Alphas. Being ordered to spend the commute to the party with Audrey was a pretty good sign that she wasn't going to get her way on that, and that the night would be more miserable than she expected. After sending a text back to Michaela and Jazmyn, explaining that she had to ride with Audrey, Charlotte headed downstairs, finding Juliette already lingering by the door.

"Why does she want to talk to you?" Juliette asked, arms crossed over her chest with her face sporting what seemed to be her signature look of anger and offense. "Don't tell me that you had Michaela and Jazmyn over again today." Juliette could not comprehend why Charlotte insisted on doing the exact opposite of what Audrey told her to do. In her opinion, it was clearly Charlotte who was the one out of the two of them who constantly needed the attention to be focused on her. That was why she was always purposely acting out, Juliette believed.

"I was going to ask you if you knew," Charlotte said, throwing in a nonchalant shrug. Aside from the nail polish incident, Charlotte felt like she had done well this week at adhering to all of Audery's unnecessary and annoying demands and standards. She had been busy with two school papers, so that was part of it, but for the most part, outside of class, she had remained in the Alpha house (alone), or in the campus library. She had barely seen her friends since last weekend, so she didn't know what Audrey could need her for. She assumed, however, that it was just going to be a car ride full of discussions about how she needed to use this party as a chance to redeem herself, and how she was forbidden from even looking in the Zetas' direction, or something.

"She didn't mention anything to me," Juliette acknowledged, before quickly continuing with, "But can you please be normal tonight? I don't want Audrey to be in a bad mood, and some of mom's friends are going to be here. You know they'll tell her if they see you don't anything weird with your friends."

Charlotte wanted to object, or at least tell her sister that unlike her, she had enough of a brain to know that she was allowed to interact with people from other houses, regardless of social stigmas, but before she could, Audrey came downstairs. As much as Charlotte disliked Audrey at times, there was no denying that she was everything than an Alpha president should be. She was beautiful and graceful, she knew how to demand respect and get her way, and she was intelligent and influential. Charlotte didn't like her being her President, but she could give credit where credit was due, and in part because she felt like Juliette's stare was going to burn a hole in the side of her face if she was anything but respectful, Charlotte smiled at the redhead. "You look pretty, Audrey."

"She looks more than pretty! Oh my god, that dress looks even better in real life than it did in the picture you sent me."

"Thank you, my loves," Audrey smiled, relishing in the praise for a moment, before nodding approvingly at the two girls, too. She had seen both outfits before they had been put on the girls, but the Arnault genes never failed to make anything look flawless. That was one more reason for why it was all the more frustrating that Charlotte didn't take advantage of it on nights that weren't like tonight, where she was forced to dress nicely. "You two look perfect as well," she complimented, with her eyes flashing towards Charlotte's hands to make sure that the girl had rid herself of the chipped black nail polish that she had originally planned on wearing tonight. With confirmation that it had been replaced, her smile returned, and she opened up the front door. "Jules, Naomi should be down in a minute. We'll see you there," she said, waiting for Charlotte to follow her out. Charlotte did follow, but only after sending a quick text to Naomi that read, "Why am I being forced to ride alone with Audrey? Is my body going to be found in a shallow ditch miles away in a few days?" While Charlotte knew that Naomi was best friends with Audrey, she was close enough with her own Big to confide in her about how she sometimes felt like Audrey unnecessarily targeted her. Additionally, given Naomi's closeness to Audrey, Omi was usually helpful in giving Charlotte a heads up right before Audrey was going to snap on her about something.

The limo was already waiting for them, so Audrey headed towards it, smiling at Abby as she passed and saying, "Abby, Naomi and Juliette are about to leave if you need a ride." Normally, she would have been welcoming for any of her Alphas to ride with her, but she needed some alone time with Charlotte, Hudson and Weston tonight, and once the pair were in the limo with the boys, and the driver pulled off, she knew that she had that.

"My, oh, my, don't you look stunning?" Naomi should have known better than to be so easily flattered, but she was easily won over by compliments, and she knew she looked good. It was a sleek look, and she looked almost feline with her subtly winged eyes and slender frame. Still, even if she looked absolutely horrendous, Naomi was well aware that she could trust Audrey's compliments. The Alpha president had a penchant for brutal honesty- if Naomi looked bad, Audrey would certainly tell her so.

With a flirtatious smile, she pointedly looked the redhead up and down, commenting in a faux blase tone, "Not so bad, yourself."

She was making a severe understatement, of course. Audrey looked gorgeous. Audrey always looked gorgeous. The girl simply wouldn't settle for anything less.

"For important, top-secret Alpha Theta Pi presidential duties, of course!" A little red flag immediately went up, and Naomi raised her brows in a touch of exasperation. Yes, Naomi knew that Charlotte was... different, and she knew that Audrey loathed when the certain expectations of an alpha weren't met by said alphas, but...

Well, that was just it. Charlotte simply didn't fit, and what's more, the girl had no desire to. Sure, she did try to appease Audrey's demands, but she never changed herself. As far as Naomi could tell, Charlotte's priority was Charlotte, and the Little was not about to throw away who she was in order to conform to some admittedly twisted set of standards.

Naomi actually admired that about her, not that she would ever tell Audrey that.

"Nothing bad. Nothing you need to worry about. I just need to give our little black sheep of the family a little bit of TLC. You can have her back as soon as you get there."

Naomi knew the game by now. Audrey wasn't letting her get a word in edge ways, which suggested that Audrey was up to something of arguable moral standing. As the redhead spun around and headed down stairs, Naomi could only sigh in mild frustration.

"Kuso..."

Her phone buzzed again, and she chuckled at Yuda's message.

From; Yuda
Omg, shut up! It'll be useless looking nice just for you because I'm pretty sure you'll be going home with someone else xoxo

To; Yuda
jealous are we? ;) See you soon xx

Her phone buzzed again, twice, and she opted to read her little's text first.

From; Charlittle
Why am I being forced to ride alone with Audrey? Is my body going to be found in a shallow ditch miles away in a few days?

For a second, she felt a twinge of guilt. She's tough. She can handle whatever crazy scheme Audrey's got cooked up I'm sure.

To; Charlittle
I'm as lost as you are... if you die, I'll avenge you tho, so don't worry xx

Reading Archie's text, she only scoffed, and stuffed the phone into her purse with a roll of her eyes. "Moron..." She betrayed a smile before taking a final look in the mirror and heading downstairs. Smiling at Abby and Juliette, she nodded towards the uber waiting outside.

"Coming?"

"Warning - I wasn't able to preempt Charlotte for what's going on here. I'm assuming you've already spoken to Weston?" was the first thing that Audrey said, when she and Charlotte got into the car. The duo were met by Hudson and Weston, with the former looking far more comfortable and at ease than the latter. It was a scene that Audrey expected to walk into, given that she and Hudson had discussed that it would be best for each of them to explain the situation to their Greek house member before getting together. Audrey hadn't had the time to tell Charlotte, but just looking at Weston's face allowed Audrey to assume that Hudson had held up his side of the agreement.

There was tension in the car, and had been since he had revealed to Weston what was really going on here, but the moment that Audrey stepped into the car, Hudson was smiling again. It was a smile that he couldn't help being there, and it was as if there was no wiping it off of his face, even if he wanted to. Why he was so mesmerized with Audrey, he would never really know, but it was noteworthy that Hudson wasn't even undressing her in his head as he looked at her, like he did to most girls. "Can't you tell by that enthused smile on his face?" he answered, not looking at Weston then, but knowing that there was no smile on his face. He sent him a hard glare that was sure to signal that he better put one on his face now, if he knew what was good for him, though.

"Perfect, then let's get Charlotte in the loop," Audrey smiled, looking at Weston briefly, in an attempt to re-read his expression in some way that would allow her to believe that maybe he wasn't as bothered as he looked, and that he had taken the news well enough to convince herself that Charlotte might to. She turned to Charlotte a second later, with an eager smile, as if she had amazing news that she couldn't wait to share. If business failed for her (which she knew it wouldn't), at least she could have a backup career in acting...

"Yeah... I'd appreciate it." It was the first thing that Charlotte had said since getting into the limousine, and that was mostly because she was really confused about what was going on. It would have been strange enough to have to sit in a limo for the duration of the ride with just Audrey, but adding Hudson and Weston into the mix was perplexing. Hudson would have been one thing, since she knew that he and Audrey were close friends. Had Weston not looked so uneasy, and had Audrey not brought Charlotte along because she wanted to talk, then maybe Charlotte could have pieced this together as Audrey and Hudson wanting to ride together, and Weston being invited because he was Hudson's Little. Given the situation in reality, though, there was no way to logically explain why she was here, and what Audrey was going to get her "in the loop" about.

Audrey didn't waste a moment in beginning to speak, once Charlotte acknowledged her. "Well, as you know, I've been worried about you," she began, her smile fading almost instantly as she looked at Charlotte with a more somber expression. "You're just always... off track. You have so much potential and that's why you made it as an Alpha in the first place, but you don't utilize it, and it's upsetting. It's really upsetting, and you know me, Charlotte. I can't just sit around and watch one of my girls waste away, due to all of these meaningless distractions." And by meaningless distractions, Audrey most certainly meant all of the unworthy friends that Charlotte seemed to choose over her own Alpha sisters. "So, I've decided to do what any good president and friend would do. I've set you up with a distraction that will actually do some good for you," she continued, pausing only slightly, before looking towards Weston with a smile, as if she were the host of a game show, revealing a contestant's grand prize. "Meet your new boyfriend, Weston."

"Are you on drugs?" Charlotte was smirking, and not because she found her own comment to be amusing, but because it was her first reaction to what Audrey said. It was hard to interpret it as anything other than a joke, and she wanted Audrey to know that if it wasn't a joke, it was a laughable suggestion, because Charlotte wasn't going to treat her words as a serious demand.

"You should be thanking me, Charlotte." Audrey wasn't getting sharp just yet, but she allowed a tinge of hurt to accompany her words. She had prepared for this, so again, the offense was feigned and rehearsed, but a part of her did want to believe that Charlotte was reacting ungratefully. She was doing a good service by helping and guiding Charlotte. However, even if her voice was still cool and calm, it seemed necessary to tell Charlotte what was on the table before the girl let her mouth get the best of her. "If Hudson and I hadn't come up with this option, I would have had to terminate your sisterhood with Alpha Theta Pi, and if I had to do that, I would have felt inclined to do the same for your sister. Isn't this more fair for everyone?" Of course, it was wrong for Audrey to include Juliette in this in any way, shape or form. Juliette was a model Alpha member, not to mention the sweetest Little that Audrey could have ever asked for, but no relationship in the world was more important to her than her own image. It was messed up and sad, really, but if Audrey had to toss her friendship with Juliette away, just to prove a point that she would get her way, then she was willing to do that. It would hurt, but Audrey would be able to convince herself that it was necessary.

"Not really." Fair?! This was far from fair. This was absolutely absurd, that was what this was! The smirk had disappeared from her face, but Charlotte still couldn't believe that this was something that Audrey was actually proposing. She knew better than to think it was a joke at this point, as more time allowed her to remind herself that Audrey probably was crazy enough to be capable of this, but even for her, this seemed low. It had nothing to do with Weston, a boy that Charlotte only knew on a surface level, but just the situation as a whole.

"Can I just add in that--" As if Weston wasn't feeling uncomfortable enough about the situation, knowing that he could do nothing other than accept it as the better option, at least for now, but on top of that, he now had to deal with the awkwardness of this girl freaking out over how horrible it was going to be to pretend to date him. He knew it was being dramatic to take it so personally, given that anyone in Charlotte's situation had a right to react that way, but it was an awkward position to be in, nonetheless.

Hudson cut Weston off almost immediately. As bad as it was, he was enjoying the show that Charlotte was putting on, even if his eyes had barely left Audrey for a second. He didn't need Weston interrupting them, because as he had said earlier, his opinion on the matter held no weight. "You don't get to add in anything, unless it's a compliment on how nice Charlotte looks." Weston answered that with silence, that was only intended to prove a point that what he was going to say had nothing to do with going along with this bizarre scenario that Hudson and Audrey were forcing on him and Charlotte. "Really? You're not gonna tell the lady that she looks good, Wes? Shit, you really should be thanking me for this. You clearly don't know how to treat a girl."

"That's not what I meant," Weston sighed, looking towards Charlotte apologetically, even though it appeared as if she was caught up enough in her own emotions, which mostly came across as being anger, on her face, to even acknowledge what was going on in the car. "You look great, Charlotte, but I really think that--"

"You think that this is the best option to keep you in the Beta house, and that I'm a wonderful Big for setting you up with a girl like Charlotte." That was enough to shut Weston up, and once the boy seemed to sink back into his seat, Hudson was able to turn his attention back to the girls, fighting back a smirk that so badly wanted to shine on his face. It wasn't his fault that he had a soft spot for some good drama.

"You can't do this, Audrey. Can't even you see how absolutely crazy this is? You can kick me out, I really don't give a fuck at this point." At this point, it would be a relief to be kicked out of the Alpha house, and right now, she thought she would be even happier to be kicked out of this car. Even if it was still moving. She'd take some scratches and bruises, even a broken bone or two, from jumping out of the moving limousine over having to deal with this absurdity.

"Should I text Naomi and tell her not to take Juliette with her, but instead to tell her to start packing?" It was an ultimatum, and because Audrey knew the answer that she would ultimately receive, she was able to give it with an innocent smile, as she pulled out her phone to signal that she wasn't bluffing.

"You're so fucked up."

"I need an answer, Charlotte. Should I text her and tell her that, or are you going to embrace your relationship with Weston?"

Yaya bit her lip in concern as Cyrus teased her she wasn't used to this behavior from him which told her that he was definitely not feeling comfortable. She absently leaned on him momentarily, just a innocent gesture to let him know that he had her full support. "I always miss you when you're gone Cy." She teased back for appearance sake.

Her phone vibrated loudly against the countertop of the bar and she picked it up to see a text from Cas asking her if she wanted her usual. She bit her lip and glanced at Ben across the bar before quickly typing out Yes please, please be discreet I don't want Ben to start shit with you. She knew that Ben would obviously lose it if he found out that she was taking pills from Cas. She loved him but Ben wasn't very understanding when it came to things like that and she understood with his past and all but she wasn't addicted to pills or anything she just wanted a pick me up here and there.

"So, was that you I saw kissing Benjamin earlier?" She turned her head back to Archie when she heard him mention Ben, "You going back to basics huh?" She rolled her eyes at Archie. "He is not basic, he is sweet and kind and honest. You could learn something about that. Maybe get in a relationship instead of having a different girl in your bed every night." She said it in a teasing manner but the truth was that it kind of got under her skin when people said that Ben was boring.

Yaya always wanted stability because she never really got it growing up, not until she moved in with her Dad. Her grandma tried to give her stability but if there's one thing her grandmother lacked: stability. Whether she was jetting off with a new lover to Barcelona or Paris, or she was surprising Yaya with a day trip to Manhattan for some shopping, or she was hosting some lavish party on a fucking Tuesday night. Ben was stable and she loved that about him. They had a routine and shared plans and goals. She met his family and he met hers, they had dinner at her Dad's house every Wednesday. Even her sorority sisters would joke about how her and Ben were basically already married. She could see herself marrying him and moving into a pretty house not too far from both of their parents maybe having kids, you know the American dream. It scared the shit out of her. Part of her wondered if she allowed the attention of other guys to spice things up or if deep down she was testing him. She knew his friends thought that for sure.

She glanced around for her fellow Alphas when she briefly thought that she hadn't seen many of them around yet so she sent out a group text to Audrey, Abigail, Juliette, Charlotte, and Naomi that states Hey where is everyone? I'm on drink two and nobody seems to be here

"Okay. I'll tell you guys but it must be kept on the down low." The mischievous spark was still there, and Naomi leaned in furtively, only for her smile to freeze on her face.

"Well, before Ben and Ya Ya got together, Ben liked me but I shot him down, obviously. So, now that him and Ya Ya are on a break, we've been talking how we were before. It's been amazing, honestly. Promise me that you guys won't say anything. Especially to Ya Ya. What I am doing isn't wrong, is it? It's completely harmless."

Fuck. Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck.

Naomi's inner monologue had turned especially expletive, and for good reason. How? How could Abby not think this is a horrible situation?

It had always been a rule, hadn't it? A cardinal part of both the girl and the guy code. Don't mess around with your friend's ex.

It was bad enough that they were Alpha sisters, but Yaya was Abby's Big! Somehow, that made the entire situation feel even worse.

It was none of her business, of course. And Naomi knew that. She shouldn't have pried in the first place, and now she wished she hadn't. She would have felt so much better if she'd remained blissfully ignorant of the entire scandalous affair.

Hey- let's not freak out, okay? Yaya is sex on a fucking stick. She's probably totally over Ben and out scoping the party for someone new and she's bound to be able to find someone, let's be real so-

Try as she might to persuade herself that it would all be alright, the sinking feeling in her gut assured her otherwise. Yaya was one of her best friends- what was she supposed to do? Lie? Feign ignorance? Tell her?

But she couldn't screw over Abby, either!

See? This is why I hate relationships. No good comes out of this shit. Ever.

This entire train of thought occurred in only a couple of seconds, before being interrupted by Juliette in a bid to change the mood.

"I'll focus my attention on finding Naomi her match made in heaven, instead." Naomi followed Juliette out of the car, rolling her eyes at the comment as the younger Alpha moved to clasp her hand.

"So, you're friends with Nick, right? The smart boy? Well, I'm friends with him too, and I totally thinks he likes you as more than just a friend!"

Naomi couldn't help it, she laughed. "Yeah... no. Something tells me I'm not really his type."

As they walked into the party, Naomi paused in the entrance, and looked around admiringly. The GiTGwP party seemed to get prettier every year, and this was no exception. Glancing down to her phone, she opened a message from Yaya, which only helped the guilt of the prior car confession to come back full force.

From; Yaya
Hey where is everyone? I'm on drink two and nobody seems to be here

To; Yaya
Don't worry, the fun has arrived. ;) we're at the entrance, come find us

Just as she was putting her phone back, it buzzed again, and she read the new text from Archie.

From; Archie
I doubt I'm the first person to say this to you tonight - and I definitely won't be the last - but damn Omi, you look amazing.

Brows rising in slight surprise, Naomi looked through the crowd around her, searching for a particular face. When she finally found the right one, she met Archie's eyes, and grinned brightly. Pointedly looking over him, she shot him a teasing smirk that clearly said, "You don't look so bad yourself."

When Charlotte stepped out of the limousine, being the first one out of the four occupants to get out, she felt like she had sold her soul to the devil. Call it dramatic, but she had never been the kind of person who bowed down to people's requests. She liked doing what she wanted to do, when she wanted to do it, and how she wanted to do it. Her privilege and upbringing played a role in it too, probably, but she was just used to being able to get her way, and do her own thing, without having to worry about too many consequences. It was startling for her to be in a situation where it felt impossible to say no. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place, and by the time that the limo had come to a halt outside of the venue, Audrey was smiling at her and insisting that she had made the right choice. She had preserved she and Juliette's spot in the Alpha house, and she had paid a bizarre price for it. With Audrey watching from behind, she followed directions and clasped Weston's hand as they headed inside of the venue.

Audrey and Hudson had insisted that the two of them needed to spend the night together, but at the very least, Charlotte could say that she was glad that the two house presidents hadn't insisted on following them around all night, too. She didn't doubt that the two of them would be watching, but watching from afar was highly preferred over them actually hovering over her and Weston all night. Like Audrey and Hudson had said in the car, one of Weston's Beta brothers was waiting for them near the entrance with a couple of drinks, to avoid them having to go over to the crowded bar themselves, and in Audrey's words, get "distracted". Charlotte took this as one more attempt by Audrey, to keep Charlotte away from Zetas and "bad influences", but at that point, she couldn't even object. She took her drink from the senior Beta, and followed Weston over to some couches in the quieter area of the venue, that had a little bit more of a lounge vibe to it.

Before they had even got to talking, really, Weston had done what Hudson had insisted he do immediately, and that was request a relationship status change on Facebook. Charlotte hated Facebook and barely ever used it, but knowing that Audrey would come for her if she objected, she passively accepted the request that Weston sent her, issuing a public statement that they were now "in a relationship". The entire thing made her roll her eyes, and that was the most harmless thing that she could do in reaction to it all. "Now that I'm allowed to actually speak," Wes began, referring to how Hudson had shut him down multiple times during the ride, "Let me say that I had no more of a say in this than you did. I'm basically being blackmailed into this 'relationship' too, so don't think that I had anything to do with it." His voice was apologetic more than anything. He knew that he had no more of a reason to apologize than she did, but since Hudson hadn't gone into depth in the car like Audrey had, it seemed necessary. He didn't want her to think that he was either pathetic enough to need to find a girl who had to be blackmailed into dating him, or that he was trying to take advantage of her and this situation, by going after her when she had no say in the matter.

What was frustrating for Charlotte, was that she was barely being blackmailed. Audrey couldn't leak anything on her that she wouldn't leak about herself. Charlotte didn't have many things that she was ashamed of. The things that the Alphas found to be embarrassing or repulsive were things that seemed socially mundane to her, in most cases. She was being forced into this because of her sister. That was what Audrey was holding over her head - her sister's membership to the Alpha Theta Pi sorority. No matter how frequently Charlotte said that she wanted to kill Juliette, she was a good enough sister to know that this sorority meant everything to Juliette, and she had enough of a heart to sacrifice her own dignity to protect her sister. Clearly, Audrey was well aware of that, and all the more willing to take advantage of it. That was what was infuriating about all of this. "What does he have over you?" she inquired, sipping the daiquiri in her hand. She knew that she needed to do more than just sip, if she wanted to get through this night, but at the same time, she knew that if she let that side of her take hold, she would be passed out drunk in an hour, tops.

A part of Weston felt like just being honest with Charlotte. She seemed down to earth enough to not be homophobic, and to maybe have enough decency in her to feel sympathetic towards his dilemma. At the same time, after Hudson's reaction towards it, and the passiveness that Audrey had shown in not defending him, Weston wasn't convinced that things would definitely pan out that way. It seemed safer to just brush off the question. "Just stupid shit that he's going to hold over my head, or kick me out over. He thinks dating an Alpha will turn me into future-Beta-president-material, I guess," he said, shaking his head bitterly. Although he had a drink in hand, like Charlotte, he had not taken more than a sip so far. He was too distracted and uneasy to trust himself with alcohol, though he really doubted he would have enough self-control all night to not drink. Charlotte had only nodded to his answer, and while he appreciated her leaving it at that, he felt compelled to make more conversation. Unlike her, he wasn't fully content with allowing space to be filled with silence. Especially when said space was between him and a stranger, and when that stranger was supposed to suddenly now be his girlfriend. "But I guess if we're both actually going to go through with this, we should come up with a cover story? Something to tell our friends, because I know at least mine are going to be confused about how I went from never talking about a girl, to dating her, in a matter of twenty minutes," he explained, a slight laugh following.

Charlotte nodded. She was thinking the same thing, and was actually surprised that Audrey hadn't handed them printed out scripts for what they were supposed to say, word for word, to anyone who inquired about this pretend relationship. She knew that she had a lot of people to explain this to. Her Big, Naomi, was one who she really wanted to text at that very moment and vent to, but who Audrey had specifically stated needed to be told the exact same lie as everyone else. Juliette was surely going to be shocked about this, and Charlotte already knew that she would find a way to spin this into her being offended, too. It wasn't even going to be hard, in this case, since Charlotte was well aware of the crush her sister had on Weston. Then, she knew that Michaela and Jazmyn would want an explanation about this. On top of that, she was already expecting the teasing that would surely come from them about this, and the thought of all of that and more had her reaching for her drink once again. "We can just say that we kept things private, I guess, because we didn't think that anything would come of it at first. We can say there was some friends with benefits stuff going on for a little while, and that we just decided to make things exclusive, if that works for you." She didn't know what kind of story would make any more sense than that, and the little details didn't even matter to her, much. While she would tell the lie to begin with, Charlotte knew that at some point, she would feel inclined to tell those closest to her the truth.

To: Blake
Such a gentleman. How ever am I going to repay you?

Amaris was just a bit slower than Eliza and Daisy in getting to the bar inside the venue, but it was definitely her destination once she finished schmoozing, as they all joked that the Alphas and Betas were wont to do at any chance that they got. Just the thought made her smirk, but there was no denying that that was exactly what Amaris was doing. The second they had all exited her Bentley and Nick had gone to park elsewhere (he had decided to drop them all at the entrance so that the girls didn't have to do too much walking in their heels) since the place was packed, Amaris had been swept away by a couple of alumni, the majority of whom were alum Thetas and Kappas, and two who were Alphas. As much as the cosmopolitan she knew Blake had gotten her was calling her name, there was no way in hell she wasn't about to charm her way into more money for the Thetas and at least several internship possibilities for her Theta and Kappa babies. Particularly since Ms. Ndoye, a former Theta Chi president, was living in Atlanta and had a host of charitable events that the girls could collaborate in.

"House of Ruth was such a...humbling and inspiring environment when I visited," she remarked upon their entrance into the rather spacious and luxurious modern home turned venue for the evening. "I am more than certain our girls would feel honored to come and volunteer, at least with providing an Easter meal for them in the spring semester. While it might be a bit last minute now for them to have to change plans for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, particularly with the resurgence of mid-term and final cram sessions, I'm pretty sure if we sit them down before at least Christmas and incite a conversation on how they want to go about things during the spring, we will more than likely be able to participate." During a visit to Atlanta for a talk with Ntozake Shange and a host of other black feminists who sat on a panel at one of the schools in Atlanta, Amaris had happened upon a representative for House of Ruth who was incredibly close with one of the professors. After a conversation or two, and discovering their shared Fulton University affiliation, she had kept contact with the woman since last semester and they had promised to have more conversation on the Thetas participating.

"I look forward to the collaboration, my dear," Ms. Ndoye stated warmly and Amaris smiled at the hum of agreement in the air. "And might I just say, if I hadn't before, that this is a new look for you, Miss Hamilton. You look really nice." Amaris could feel the telltale flush alight her cheeks and her smile grew as she ducked her head shyly before swiping back a stray curl. "Thank you, ma'am." She glanced about them to see that they were only a room away from where she knew the bar was going to be and when she turned back to the group, a few more had been added. And Amaris knew then that that was when she needed to leave. Not because she couldn't handle anymore people, but their conversation wouldn't steer back into the direction that it had been in and it would take her the rest of the night to do so. "With all due respect, ma'am, I think you all did a wonderful job on the venue and you should enjoy your evening accordingly. I'll try to find you before the night is out or give you a call first thing tomorrow?" A response of affirmation was given and Amaris smiled cordially, shaking a few newer hands, and then parting ways with the crowd.

It didn't take long for Amaris to find the bar, especially considering the people lined up alongside it. Running a hand through her soft, dense curls, Amaris ran her eyes over the room, not particularly looking for anyone, just scoping out the room. It seemed that the louder and slightly more rambunctious music was being played outside as the atmosphere seemed jovial yet calmer inside. It made sense; considering how many people could be found inside closer to this bar and the various seating areas, this atmosphere required the networking and conversing crowds as opposed to outside where current students would probably benefit more from letting loose in lieu of upcoming exams, both for Fulton and for the various graduate studies institutions they would more than likely have to prepare themselves for. It was a bit of a reach as far as reaches went, but the thought of examinations and graduate school brought Eliana to Amaris' mind and she took the time out to text her girl before walking in the direction of the bar, smiling at a few familiar faces as she went.

To: Eli
I'm here. Nick's parking, but I'm getting a drink with Blake.

It didn't take Amaris long to find the aforementioned Sigma and while she wasn't necessarily close with the Sigma he was currently with, it wouldn't be Amaris if she couldn't identify one of the few Sigmas with stark white hair. Painted lips curving into a smirk, she approached from behind Blake, wrapping her arms around his waist and (with the assistance of her heels) resting her chin on his shoulder. "Good evening, gentleman," she greeted, eyes initially on Cyrus out of respect before said eyes lit up as she turned them to meet Blake's gaze on a grin. "Hello, handsome. I do believe I was promised a drink earlier."

It wouldn't be Mickey if she didn't immediately find where the livest music was at any place a party was hosted at and considering she wasn't in the mood for rich snobs and networking on a Sunday night (that honestly could have been spent with the homemade cheesecake she was letting firm up in the fridge and the rest of her marijuana), she had immediately found herself dragging Jazmyn to the pool area. Not only was she more entranced by the outside air and general easy-going atmosphere, the music was a touch better, there was still a bar outside and there was a pool. Being near a pool where there were lounges and such meant fun. Being inside with a bunch of old wealthy people trying to both relive their glory days and act all high-and-mighty now that they were gray (which totally had her thinking that some of these guys were sipping from the fountain of youth because there was no way in hell you could convince Mickey that these men had been in the class of 1975) just wasn't the business and once she and Jaz had gotten at least two shots of tequila in, it was lit. At least, for Mickey, once she had wandered off and found herself talking (yelling) with the DJ over the music. Come to find out, they had even DJed for the same place once or twice before, and that he had been to one of the parties she had DJed at back in Los Angeles. She also made sure to text Eliana.

To: Mama Li
Good news, I'm here. By the pool. W/ the DJ. Bad news, tequila is bomb and my car keys are kinda in my wallet in my pocket. Don't worry, honeybear. You know I don't drink much.

It probably wasn't going to convince her Big to just let her drive home after the night was over, though it was debatable whether or not Mickey was going to feel like listening once the time came. This wasn't one of the times where Mickey just didn't bother with listening or adhering to authority. Unlike a few people in this world, Michaela actually respected Eliana more than most. It probably helped that this was her Big and so their connection had to be something for the two of them to work as well as they did, but still. Eli earned Mickey's respect and for that, Michaela listened from time to time. The music changed to a dubstep R&B mix and Mickey nodded in enjoyment, giving a thumbs up to the DJ. "Dude, that's sick," she commented loudly and he grinned, earning one in response from her. Michaela looked over the crowd outside before turning back to the guy, moving one of his headphones out of the way so that he could definitely hear her. "Headed to the bar. You want anything?" Once she got his order and gave a confirmation of its reception with two thumbs up, Mickey was sidling by the group of dancers and headed to the outside bar when it occured to her that she hadn't heard much from Charlotte yet, which just didn't do. There was rarely a party she had attended since meeting the Arnault that she didn't get to have the brunette by her side, so while one of the bartenders was focused on another guest, Mickey whipped her phone back out to text Charlotte and respond to Eliza, belated realizing that Cyrus and Cas had text her.

To: Lottie
I'm hurt babe. No response, no nothing. Starting to feel unloved.

To: Lizzie
hey babe!! I'm poolside

To: Cas
U already kno I'm down. Lemme know when u get here

To: Cyrus

A few minutes passed, and maybe it was because Charlotte had emptied her glass by that point, but she was finding to Weston to be more enjoyable than she expected from him. She had not been envisioning him as someone who would be bland to begin with, but he was a Beta, and Charlotte did all that she could to keep her relationships with the Betas on a surface level. It wasn't fair to judge them as a whole, since she herself would never want to be judged for simply being an Alpha, but it was what it was, and in this case, getting to know Wes was proving to be a pleasant surprise. Interestingly, Wes was feeling the same way about Charlotte, though his glass was still only a few sips in, so he couldn't blame him feeling more relaxed on the alcohol. While he had gotten to know Juliette pretty well over the past year, he hadn't had the pleasure of doing the same with Charlotte. He had heard briefly, and mostly through Juliette, that she wasn't as enthused with being an Alpha as most of the girls, but he barely thought anything of it. Speaking to her now, though, he could tell that she certainly was different than her sister and most of the other Alpha girls. It wasn't a bad different, but it was noticeable. If anything, though, he preferred discovering this about her, than if he had been forced into a situation with a girl who was high strung and demanding. Charlotte seemed like she had a sense of humor in her, and a real personality that she didn't use as a facade just to fit in, like he himself had been guilty of doing over the past year.

With his mind on that, and how uncertain he felt about his current predicament, he couldn't help but to also think about Nick. Though he and Charlotte were in a fairly secluded area, his eyes had drifted away from the girl on more than one occasion when someone passed by, with his hopes jumping at the thought that maybe it was Nick. It never was, but it was that bout of hope burning in his chest that was part of the reason for why he stood up after talking with Charlotte for a few minutes. He knew that while she seemed to be genuinely entertained by their conversation that had unfolded, she probably wasn't dying to continue to socialize with him, after all that had just been thrown on them, anyway. "I'm going to go grab something else at the bar. Whatever this is sucks," he said, lifting the glass that was supposed to contain some whiskey concoction in it, but tasted far too bitter for Wes to enjoy, before continuing with, "And I'll get a refill for you too. Daiquiri, yeah?"

"Yeah, thanks," Charlotte nodded, standing up herself, though. "I'm actually going to go find a few friends outside. If you stumble across Hudson or Audrey, the alibi is that you were stopping to get us drinks before meeting me outside, but you got caught up talking to some Beta legacy, or something," she winked, then giving a wave of her hand to signal her departure. Wes nodded, and as the two moved out of the lounge, they both immediately turned to their phones. Weston couldn't even remember what Nick had said, in addition to the photo, since he had immediately deleted the texts when Hudson knocked on his door, but he sent Nick a text regardless, saying, "I won't deny that you Kappas can clean up nicely. Wya?" Given that Hudson was here, Wes was unsure if he actually intended on meeting up or even socializing with Nick here, but he was curious as to the Kappa's whereabouts regardless. Charlotte, on the other hand, was feeling less nervous when she read her texts, and more relieved, though she opted on letting Michaela play the waiting game a little bit longer, by not responding. No one had told her that Jazz and Mickey were outside, but she just had a feeling that that was where the two of them would end up, so that was where she headed. Luckily, her intuition was correct, and she found Michaela standing at the outdoor bar. Walking up behind, Charlotte gave a playful squeeze to the girl's side to signal her presence. "Let me just start off by saying that I am oh so flattered by how obsessed you are with me, Miss Vaughn," she said teasingly. "I don't blame you for needing better company than Jazzy, but gosh, I didn't know I had neglected you this badly." When the bartender came over to them, Charlotte set her credit card and fake ID down on the counter. "You can open up a tab for us," she said to the man, before turning back to Michaela with a devilish grin. "Pick out something good for me to start my night off with. I'm only one Daiquiri in and I'm going to need a lot more than that once I share some wonderful news with you."

Weston did want a drink that he would actually consume, and he figured that it would look good if he at least ordered a drink for Charlotte too, in case he stumbled upon Hudson and Audrey and had to activate their story, so he headed away from the lounge and towards the bar. He didn't get too far though, before someone turned a corner and ended up banging right into him. The contents of Weston's drink went flying, but luckily only on to the floor, and not onto either of them, and Weston was relieved when he saw that it was Hayden who was scrambling up from the floor and not some sorority girl ready to stab him with her heel. "Shit, man. My fault, my fault," he said, shaking off Hayden's apology as he offered him a hand to help him get up. "I'm a little bit out of it tonight, as you can tell," he laughed, though he nodded to the puddle of alcohol on the floor and added, "But in my defense, that was supposed to be my first drink, so I'm not even wasted. How's your night going, though? All your boys here?" He and Hayden were friendly, so he would have engaged in small talk with him at some point during the night anyway, but there was no denying that Wes was eager to talk to him now, to hear if anything exciting was going on with the Kappas... particularly Nick.

As much as he understood how important it was for her specifically to network, epecially with her being a president of a Greek organization and all, Nick honestly felt like he should have met Amaris wait for him. At least, made her enter the place with him. That way, she could take up all the attention - she was radiant tonight, more-so than she normally was - and Nick could slither away to get them drinks while she worked crowds and various one-on-one conversations. Because right about now? He was convinced that he either looked a mess and Amaris had just been trying to be nice earlier, or someone else important had walked in beside him. Not that everyone got stares of some kind when they walked in and either ignored it or reveled in it. Because that didn't exist to him, which was why he ended up having a conversation with Amaris. It didn't exactly end on a note that he would have liked, sure, but it did prompt him to text a few of his Kappa brothers to see if everyone had made it and if they were about. After all, some people didn't feel like fulfilling her best friend responsibilities.

To: Hayden, Danny, Ben
Where is everyone? I'm headed out to the pool.

Nick followed one of the side doors he remembered from originally visiting the venue some time in the event's earlier conception days and was surprised immediately by the sight of an old friend, Jessie. Jessie had graduated last year and had gone off to do Teach For America for a year since participation could help offset the financial strain of graduate school. The two had grown comfortable with one another in the time they had both been Kappas. It probably helped that it was Jessie who had even introduced Nick to the rest of the Kappas and the idea of Greek life. The fact that they had slept together prior to that discussion was a topic Nick didn't like dwelling on too much. He had just been thankful that they had kept it between the two of them. And especially that Jessie hadn't become his Big. Nick wasn't sure how he would have handled that situation. "Jess! I didn't even know you were coming back," he exclaimed once they both pulled away from their hug. The older man grinned widely, chuckling to himself. "Figured I'd surprise you guys and all. Chicago's kinda cold this time of year and I missed my Florida people. How've you been?" Nick couldn't help but grin in response. "Good, great even. I was just about to go look for Ben or one of the sophomores." It seemed possible that Jessie's grin widened even further. "Let me go get us drinks and we can look for them together. We can catch up in the meantime." Nick nodded only too quickly, reaching into his pocket once more to pull out his phone once he heard the ringtone for another text message. "I'll wait here." Once he saw the other man off, Nick glanced down at his phone, not even able to stop himself from practically beaming upon seeing a response from Weston. He couldn't even tell if it was relief that things weren't...awkward or elation that he was being acknowledged that had him smiling so hard, but either way he couldn't help but feel some inkling of satisfaction that Wes even text him. The fact that there was a compliment and a seeming desire to see him was just a completely different story and a host of butterflies in his stomach. It was only a second later that the smile dropped and Nick searched around himself, for Hudson in particular or just a Beta who had known the situation, he couldn't say, before going back to the message to type out a response.

To: Wes
Pretty sure you're looking dashing somewhere. I'm outside, near the pool. Ran into a Kappa alum. Where are you?

Was it common knowledge that Mickey was the queen of denial? Because she was - even if she didn't want to admit it. After all, who else could deny so adamantly the fluttering in their belly the second a familiar voice and hands reached them? Only Michaela and she would deny the feeling to the ends of the earth if she had enough weed in her. No alcohol, alcohol made her say stupid and honest things. It wouldn't, however, bereave her of the elation that bubbled forth and formed a grin on her face at the sight of Charlotte Arnault coming up behind her. After all, they were friends - this was her best friend. And after basically being told that they couldn't hang out (even though Mickey made a point of continuing to do so just because what the fuck is authority?), she missed the brunette. Fiercely. A lot more than she wanted to admit. Then again, she could admit that before she would ever admit the way it felt like Charlotte's touch lingered on her side even when the girl had pulled away and was focused on both getting a drink and teasing Mickey.

"Ooooohhh, holding back spicy deets now, baby girl? Should've told me sooner, I would've packed some jammies, made it a sleepover," Michaela replied offhandedly and rolling her eyes in jest with the bartender upon Charlotte slapping down an ID and what looked to be her platinum credit card, but Mickey wasn't really focusing on the smaller details. Not when Charlotte was literally right there and so close. Her hands, as always, itched to touch, but Mickey's first instinct, even when she told herself that she should stop doing that because real friends did not flirt with their close friends, was to flirt. And so she turned to Charlotte a second later with a more salacious smirk and responded indifferently, casually, "I mean, we could still do that, if you want. I sleep better naked, anyway. Might even be a little more fun that way, don't you think?." She couldn't even stop herself from winking at the brunette before returning her attention to the bartender. "You guys do Zombies right? Well, I want two for me and my girl here. And send a rum and coke to the DJ."

In all honesty, Michaela knew that she should text Jazmyn, tell the girl to come find them so that Mickey could find some semblance of control and reign herself in. Because she was capable of it, contrary to popular belief. Except...she didn't do that. Didn't move to do that nor move to see why her phone vibrated - it was probably a response from Cyrus, all things considered - at all, not when Charlotte Arnault had the puzzling capability of widening Mickey's entire scope just so that she could encompass it all on her own. It was honestly selfish, really, especially when she looked this good. All dolled up and untouchable, at least for Michaela. Mickey bit her lip on a hum, forcing herself to keep her eyes trained solely on Charlotte's (and nope, they didn't dip down to the girl's lips at all, thank you very much). Which meant she had to keep talking, if only to get a response out of Charlotte, since the other girl could get a response out of Mickey with little to no words (so unfair, by the way). "But, since we're being all honest and sharing news, Miss Arnault, I must admit that you were correct about one thing," Mickey stated and ignored the voice in her head that said her voice should not be that low or silky. She wasn't trying to take Charlotte to bed, right? Of its own volition, her left hand switched her phone to her right so that it could reach Charlotte, thumb grazing where the girl's pearl earring was connected to her earlobe, reveling in the feel of the encrusted diamonds against the pad of her thumb along with the soft skin she shouldn't be touching pressed against it, while continuing, "I was feeling quite neglected. Horrifyingly, so. Lonely, even. In fact, the only way I can think of you possibly making it up to me is not leaving my side for the rest of the night. You know, just in case I get a little too needy and need my fix. Addiction is a hard thing to crack, after all."

"Lonely? How could I be so cruel?" Charlotte responded, at first, feigning some sort of shock and sadness at the accusation towards herself as she place do a hand over her heart. Most of the time, this side of Michaela had her rolling her eyes and cracking up, but sometimes, Charlotte liked to play along. Admittedly, sometimes it was hard not to play along, and the way that Michaela looked tonight, coupled with how Charlotte felt a desperate need to break the rules and be rebellious just because Audrey's proposition left her feeling chained up, put Charlotte in a dangerous mood. Dangerous, only in the sense that it wasn't like her to get flirty with friends. She wasn't as boldly sexual as Mickey was, that was for sure, but Charlotte wasn't a prude either. She was already considering texting Cyrus after a few more drinks, to see if he was up for a little "stress relief" later on, but Michaela had chosen the perfect time to come on to Charlotte, because right now, she needed to do something that she normally would have thought to be wrong. She always laughed off Mickey's salaciousness as her friend just trying to push her buttons and get a response out of her, but tonight, she was going to push back a little. See where it took them, without considering the consequences. Or, at least not considering those consequences in any true form of seriousness.

Feeling so weighed down by the absurdity of what had happened in the past half hour or so, she had to at least shed light on the news she had referenced. She added humor to it, by incorporating a smile into her words, but at the same time, she wasn't dumb enough to tell Michaela the entire story. If she really wanted to say "fuck it" to Audrey's demands, she would have done so in the limo, but it was too soon to be going against her word. She would adhere to the story she was supposed to stick to, all while incorporating a playful tone and smirk that she knew would have her friends second guessing just how legit she was being. "I think staying by your side is the least that I could tonight, given just how inattentive I've been, but don't you think our significant others will get jealous? We both know that Jazz is already threatened by how intoxicated you get by 'Princess'' mere presence," she reminded her, speaking in third person as she used the nickname that Jazmyn had given her (much to her dismay). She stepped just a little bit closer to Michaela as she continued, with her voice softer now, though her eyes were glimmering with thrill. "And my new boyfriend might not be happy if he catches me having naked sleepovers with a Zeta. I would say he could join us, but Weston is definitely too vanilla for a threesome."

"Mmmmm...shame," Michaela lamented lowly without real feeling, a bit distracted by the proximity Charlotte placed between them, which really wasn't much in comparison to what they had before. Which, again, was unfair of her, a recurring theme, if anyone asked Mickey. "More for me, I guess. I tend to get a touch selfish anyway, from time to time. Come to think about it, this works out for everyone, as far as I'm concerned." Besides, it wasn't like Michaela was particularly keen on sharing Charlotte with someone else at the moment, let alone some boyfriend she had never heard of. In fact, as much as she liked to spice things up every now and then, she really wasn't of the mind to share Charlotte with anyone, if she had it her way. But her way wasn't the norm and while she liked the idea of Charlotte being reckless - and definitely being reckless with her - the occasional foray into possessive thinking wasn't one Mickey wanted to delve too deeply into. She was really good at being unaffected, preferred it that way. And while that flare of jealousy made something tighten in her chest, there was also no denying the frisson of heat that crawled down her spine the second Charlotte stepped closer to her, causing Mickey's eyes to flicker to the other girl's full lower lip before meeting her gaze again, a small smirk forming - bravado, even if she would never admit that she, for once, felt just a touch flustered, at work - on her face. Besides, it also wouldn't be her to just back down either.

While it was a running joke between the two of them (and those who had known them since their high school days) that Jaz had a tendency to become quite jealous upon Mickey and Charlotte hanging out together or playfully flirting (though the darker-skinned girl had a habit of dramatizing her "frustrations"), the one thing Mickey could say was that she knew for a fact that she was single. And last she had checked, so was Charlotte...at least, Mickey had thought she was. It was hard to continuing having the same thought process once someone, particularly someone she trusted, told her something they wouldn't normally lie about. Mickey's smooth brow furrowed just slightly in curiosity before smoothing out as she smiled easily to mask what she wanted to call overprotectiveness, not the jealousy or possessiveness. Because you can't be possessive of someone who isn't yours and you definitely can't be jealous over something you don't really want. Even though she filed the name away as one she was at least slightly familiar with.

"But please tell me more about this gentleman who's going to be taking even more of your attention away from me," Mickey pressed, still with that flirtatious glimmer in her eyes and biting her lower lip thoughtfully, releasing it only a second later to continue speaking, "Gotta to know who my competition is, after all." Not that she really wanted to hear or know about Charlotte dating anyone; never had. Which was why Michaela pulled her closer under the guise of having Charlotte closer to the bar and allowing more room for others who were coming to place orders, hand sliding up the other girl's wrist to the crook of her elbow. All the while maintaining eye contact. "Unless, of course, you have...some other way in mind for me to monopolize your time. Sure he won't be missing you too much, babe?"

"How do you do it?" Hudson and Audrey had allowed Weston and Charlotte to go off and get to know each other, since that kind of seemed like a necessary step in two strangers suddenly dating each other. Hudson had picked up drinks for himself and the Alpha President, and caught up with her a few minutes later, to find her doing what she did best - wowing people. She was involved in a conversation with an Alpha alum, who Hudson immediately recognized as Emily Perry, a girl who had been Alpha president a few years before he had even gotten to Fulton. Hudson was only privy to who she was, because his Big, who had graduated a year before, had always spoken about the insane crush that he had on the girl. Hudson had met her a few times, mostly at events like this, where she returned as an alum, when she was able to get time off from work. Like most Alphas, she was already highly successful, moving her way up the ranks at Nordstrom's department store in the administration field, all while additionally working on her own swimwear line that was supposed to launch at the department store in a few months. His own Big's obsession with this girl probably played a role in why Hudson had developed his own on Audrey. His Big had instilled in him that the Alpha girls were perfect, and that they were more than just one-night-stand-goals. They were wife goals, and if you found one that was perfect enough to actually make you think about marriage, you couldn't let her go. In addition to Emily, whose mere presence only made Hudson focus on Audrey more, the group consisted of a few older women and men, who were introduced as Beta and Alpha alumni. Hudson conversed with the Beta alumni more than the Alpha, but he listened intently to what Audrey was saying, and how she always seemed to know exactly what to say.

When the conversation fizzled out, Hudson and Audrey excused themselves and gravitated towards a

"Hmm?" she answered, her eyebrows furrowing only slightly in confusion as she looked at Hudson over the drink she was raising towards her lips. After taking a sip, she pulled the glass away and stirred the straw in it around some, deciding that it had tasted too strong at first. Audrey always loved a good buzz, but events like these were not just for fun. They were for networking, and she would be damned if she ended up making a fool of herself for the sake of a few cocktails. There was a time and a place for being sloppy, and the Guys in Ties and Girls in Pearls event was not that kind of place.

"How do you do everything so... flawlessly?" he marveled, resting against a high top table that they were standing by.

"You're sweet, Hudson, but isn't it time for you to go woo a girl who's actually going to end up in your bed tonight? I don't want to take away from your sexual endeavors, you know," she said, giving him a pointed, yet playful look. She had to find her girls anyway, after reading and leaving Ya Ya's text unanswered. She hadn't seen the junior all afternoon, and she missed her Ya Ya, for one, and secondly, had to make sure that she (and the rest of her girls) weren't being swarmed by all of the people that Audrey was sure would be attracted to them tonight, given how good they looked. Then, after she checked in on her Alphas and maybe mingled a bit more with some of the alumni at the event, she certainly needed to physically check on Charlotte. Until then, though, she opted to send the brunette a text instead.

To: Charlotte
Are we behaving ourselves?

To: Ya Ya
Coming to find you, my love <3

Hudson could only smirk at Audrey, trying to read her more deeply, but deciding that she was probably right. If she didn't want anything fun to come out of tonight, it wasn't going to do him any good to cling to her like a lost puppy. There were Betas to mingle with, current Beta brothers to monitor, drinks to down, and like Audrey said, girls to woo. When Audrey walked off, he finished off the glass of scotch he had been drinking, and headed towards the bar for round two. That wasn't before crossing paths with Maddox, who was talking to some Theta girl. Hudson didn't slow his pace, but smirked at Maddox in passing and offered him a thumbs up, a reference to the demand that his boys needed approval to take a Theta home for the night. He didn't make it to the bar after that anyway, due to being intercepted by a few Beta alumni members.

Audrey made it to the bar with fewer interruptions, though she was tempted to approach Naomi first, since the girl was standing a few feet from the bar, but still within sight's view. She had seen her earlier, though, so getting to Ya Ya seemed more urgent. Spotting her near Archie, Audrey graced the pair with a smile, ignoring the irrelevant Zetas who stood nearby. "She never fails to impress, does she?" Audrey smiled, looking to Archie and nodding at Ya Ya. "I can't say that I was happy with you abandoning us earlier, but given that this is the finished product, I'll forgive you for it," she teased.

Cyrus sits out by the pool bar, attracted by a recently-graduated Sigma alum, Kirk Richmond. The grad had taken a liking to Cyrus, mainly because he always had low prices on Adderall, but also because their general personalities clashed well. Kirk landed a clerk position for one of the Florida state judges, a prestigious position that would probably land him a judge position later on in life. Cyrus walks up to him, setting both the drinks down on a nearby table and greeting the alum with great happiness. "Man, first Guys in Ties as a Sigma Chi Delta alumni. How's it feel, old man?" Kirk turns, and with a big smile, embraces Cyrus. Kirk orders a drink for the two of them, and considering the state that Cyrus is already in, he sips his with little intention on finishing it.

"Man, Cy, I missed ya' buddy! That real world out there is cruel. Missin' Sigma parties everyday. How was your summer?" His words filter through Cyrus' ears, and he swears he's listening, but he catches a glance at a certain Kappa walking out onto the pool area and he's stuck for a moment. Hayden looks good tonight, fuckable tonight, but they haven't hooked up in a long time and bring that up now, with the whole Maddox situation, seems like unnecessary drama. Still, he can help but look at the boy and bite his lip, keeping eye contact for longer than needed. "Yo Cyrus, are you paying attention?" Kirk groans, snapping his fingers in Cyrus' face. Cyrus indignantly replies that yes, he was listening, and repeated Kirk's recent blurb of conversation. Now who said Cyrus couldn't multitask? When it comes to cute boys- and girls -Cyrus can be a master of anything. Cyrus returns to Kirk's original question, pondering it slightly. Summer was spent hooking up with plenty of people- including a couple visits from a certain Beta, but those usually happened down in Florida; Cyrus spent most of the summer holiday in New York. "Summer was summer. Missed the Miami heat- God, nothing beats Florida. I've come to tolerate New York, but I just feel better in Florida, you know?"

A small group of Sigma alum starts forming when Kirk notices some guys that graduated before Cyrus; some only a few years, but some long before Cyrus even thought about college. There is a commotion inside as more active Sigma brothers enter, including Jack Decker, Sigma Chi Delta president. Cyrus excuses himself from the group of alumni and heads back inside, making sure to purposefully brush by Hayden on his way inside. It must be the liquor because Cyrus usually doesn't bother with more than a hello towards the Kappa brother. He even casts a smirk towards Weston Cullen, who has made company with Hayden.

"Sorry to interrupt, I thought Miss Hamilton could use a pretty face around her." Cyrus teases his fellow brothers, unaware of whatever they had just been talking about.

Across the room, Andre finally makes his break from the James Sr when Hudson finally makes his entrance. Once Hudson is surrounded by Beta alum, after just breaking from a group of Alpha and Beta alum, Andre seamless joins the group beside Hudson. The Beta alumni are conversing lightly, and Andre starts a side conversation with Hudson. "Talking to my president was the only excuse Reid James would accept to let me leave the conversation. I swear that whole family is fucked up, but at least he had some sense to go Beta. The brother are behaving themselves, as apposed to other fraternities. So, the real question is, which Alpha alumni is going home with you tonight?"

The way that Michaela's touch against her skin grew, still gentle, yet more noticeable now, made Charlotte's pulse intensify. It didn't send shivers down her spine, but it made something inside of her feel alive, almost like there was some sort of electricity pulsing through her body. It made her want to laugh, and ask herself, 'Am I really doing this?'. She was quite aware of what she was doing, that this was playing right into the flirting that she had watched Mickey engage in with so many other people. Charlotte liked to play along when Mickey turned it on her sometimes, but never to this extent. That was only really because Charlotte was normally in a better state of mind than she was tonight. Even when she was feeling impulsive and rebellious, she still had a brain in her head and some self-control. Tonight, after it felt like Audrey had seized every bit of power and dignity from her hands, she was tossing any bit of self-control that she had left, out the window. If finally seeing if her best friend was all that she was talked up to be sexually ruined their friendship in the end, then fuck it. At this point, Charlotte felt like she had nothing left to lose.

With the arm that Michaela wasn't touching, she reached out and allowed her fingers to trace an area of the girl's bare skin made accessible by the cut-outs in her jumpsuit. "I've been putting up with you for years now, and we both know that's not because of your lackluster personality," she teased, unable to hold Michaela's gaze as well as the girl did to her, and instead, allowing her eyes to look over Michaela's hand that was on her arm, and then back to the girl's eyes. "So boyfriend or not, you don't have to worry about any competition," she said, trying her best to sound serious, even lustful, but not being able to resist the smile that made its way to her face. "The real question is, is a self-proclaimed party animal like you willing to leave such a glamorous party so early in the night for little old me?" she asked, pulling her hand off of Michaela's side as she tilted her head in curiosity. She would have been lying if she claimed that her eyes didn't shift from the girl for a mere second, just to make sure that Audrey and Hudson still were not in the vicinity, but in her defense, the bartender placing two drinks didn't even distract her from the girl in front of her.

"Where are you and Audrey?" Juliette texted Charlotte, as she walked with Grant through the party. He was a nice guy, making general conversation with her about her day, how her classes were going, and how nice she looked, and Juliette didn't mind socializing with him. He was a Sigma, but a presentable one, especially when he was all dolled up and looking formal at a party like this. Besides, she was in the mood for a drink, and she didn't want to walk around alone, so she was content with standing by his side while he socialized with some Sigma alum, who had played on the school's baseball team like Grant currently did, but only after he got her a Cosmopolitan from the bar. She had seen the text that Ya Ya had sent some of the Alphas, herself included, but she didn't think that there was any rush to get to her. She was sure Naomi and some of the other juniors and seniors would find her soon, and even if they didn't, Juliette knew just as well as everyone that Ya Ya probably wouldn't be alone for long. People tended to gravitate towards the beauty. As seen by her text to Charlotte, though, Juliette was interested in learning where Audrey was. Charlotte, she didn't care that much about, but she felt more comfortable texting her to figure out her Big's location, over texting the redhead herself and possibly seeming annoying or clingy. She was sure that Audrey was probably off talking to important people about things that Juliette would likely find boring anyway, but a part of her was still bothered and a bit curious about why Audrey had insisted that she ride with Charlotte alone.

With a drink in hand, it was hard for Juliette to be truly happy, but she was growing bored enough of having to pretend to be interested in the conversation that Grant and the older male were having, that when Jack Decker called her over, she obliged. She didn't think of Jack as being a friend in the traditional sense, because she would never text him unless she needed a favor, and she would never specifically think of him as someone that she wanted to hang out with. However, they were friendly, she did trust him, and when she did end up hanging out with him, she usually had fun. Sometimes, he was a bit too much for Juliette though. She wasn't really used to boys like Jack, who were covered in tattoos and literally willing to bruise and bloody people with their bare hands. She was used to the boys whose daily attire was close to what all of the males here were wearing. She was used to boys with manners, and filters, and who were more gentlemen than Jack could ever be. That didn't mean that she didn't like the rough and tough image that Jack possessed, but it simply was not something that she was used to, or really knew how to handle. She didn't possess the wit that her sister had, and she was sensitive enough where she struggled to appreciate sharp or crude comments, even if they were said in a joking manner. That was why her brows furrowed upon Jack grabbing a hold of her arm, even be it gently. It wasn't because he was hurting her or anything, but she was wearing white, and she automatically felt like his hands were going to be dirty enough to ruin her dress. She gently pulled her arm free of his grasp, but her expression barely faltered, as even someone who was as un-perceptive as she was, was able to tell that Jack was drunk. He was always obnoxious, and maybe she was a little less acquainted to that side since he was always pleasant to her, but still, she could tell.

His question forced Juliette to look at who she was actually about to interact with, and maybe it was a sad reflection of her values, but she automatically analyzed whether Audrey would be upset with her or not, for associating with said people. She knew who Blake was, but she didn't know him personally, so she felt indifferent towards him. She knew who Cyrus was a bit better, partly because he had always rubbed her the wrong way, and also because Charlotte had once told her that she had slept with the blonde, only, for an inexpiable reason, to make Juliette think of him as being even more deplorable. She definitely knew Amaris, considering that the girl tutored her around once a week, but it wasn't like they were friends either. "I know Amaris," she answered, sipping her drink. Her face, still mildly distorted in disapproval of Jack's state, transformed briefly into a smile as she looked to Amaris in acknowledgement, before she looked back to Jack, deciding that it wasn't necessary to acknowledge the other two boys. She genuinely didn't know Blake enough to claim that she knew him, and Cyrus wasn't important enough for her to say that she knew him, even if she did. "Are you really already drunk, though? Or will you help me find Audrey? Or Hudson, since I'm sure she's with him?" she inquired, believing, with little reason, that Jack probably wasn't good enough to know Audrey, and therefore, it might be easier to request his assistance in scouting out Hudson first.

Amaris practically snorted in derision at Jack saying that she had "mediocre sex" with Blake. It wasn't that she felt particularly defensive or insulted, but a show of continued amusement. Which was a state that wasn't hard to reach once in Jack's presence. Amaris took in his face for a half a second, noting his eyes before having to chuckle. Jack was drunk. Maybe not too drunk considering Amaris had seen him actually drunk once or twice before, but he had definitely had more than just the standard and safe pre-gaming that people liked to do before events like these. So, she fixed him with an unimpressed stare while sneering playfully, "Sugar, the only sad thing is the fact that some poor soul is gonna be wasting all of their greatness on a night with a guy who had to get halfway drunk just to charm and disappoint them into entertaining an hour with that half chub and nonexistent talent you like to brag about." She said it quietly enough so that only the three of them could hear, but the bite was present even if someone were to just glance in their direction. She rolled her eyes the second Jack started to get dramatic and tossed a somewhat apologetic glance Blake's way at having to deal with his ridiculous president before turning back to her drink to take a few more sips of it.

A few more of Jack's digs passed, resulting in another eye roll from Amaris and her pretending to check the time on her nonexistent watch on her wrist, before the idiot wrangled Juliette Arnault in their direction. Amaris had half the mind to feel sorry for the girl. Though she came willingly, from what Amaris could tell, the poor thing probably wasn't exactly prepared to deal with Jack when he was like this. It puzzled her only slightly to see that they were close enough for Juliette to not particularly look like she was displeased with practically being manhandled over to their little group, but it wasn't something Amaris had to really concern herself with. Especially once she saw the disapproval shining in the brunette's eyes. "Juliette," she acknowledged once the girl briefly smiled her way, giving one of her own and biting back the inquiry of whether or not Juliette's homework was done. Tonight wasn't a night Amaris felt like being the mother hen her Theta girls swore she was and she had to take a sip of her Cosmopolitan to remind herself of that fact. "You probably shouldn't waste your time, honey. I don't think loverboy here is going to be much use to you or really anyone tonight." And because Amaris was Amaris and she could never letting sleeping dogs lie, she added in a mock-quiet tone, "Not even his hand since that's probably the only action he'll be sober enough to get."

Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't that warning bells did not exist in Michaela's head. Oh, they were there. She had a semi-strict mother and a father who at least taught her a thing or two about street smarts. She learned the rest on her own when she started hanging out at night and getting in with crowds to this day her mother wasn't particularly fond of. The point was that warning bells and self-preservation existed. It was why Mickey spent an entire lifetime (or at least half of one considering she was only nineteen) worrying about and acting for her own pleasure. The issue was that despite the self-preservation she did have, despite the fact that she could practically hear her own voice telling her that this was a horrible idea and that she needed to back the fuck down and fuck her frustrations out with anyone else - despite the fact that she was very much aware that this was stupid and selfish and Charlotte would never do this, not unless she was hurting or upset, and this could ruin everything - Michaela really couldn't find it in her to give a single fuck.

It just so happened that she wasn't that big on self-preservation. It was a sport for losers, anyway.

It didn't help that Charlotte - rudely, might she just add because how the hell was Mickey supposed to be the mature one right now? - reached out and her fingertips grazed Mickey's bare side, heat suffusing beneath her skin followed by a strong pull of want shooting straight to her groin. Her lips parted, only barely, so that she could lick her bottom lip, but Mickey saved herself from whimpering - because really, she was the Siren here and the Siren never made pitiful noises for people, ever - by choking out a small laugh, eyes twinkling. She also didn't feel things like relief at Charlotte's smile; hope was too fragile of a thing beating against her rib cage at this point and Mickey didn't want to bother herself with mulling over what she had to be relieved for. Not having to deal with a new boy toy? Her attraction - at least that, since the other thing just could not be allowed to be called anything of importance, like at all - being returned? Michaela didn't even try to not follow the movement of Charlotte's lips as she continued speaking, posing her question and tilting her head just-so when she was done. She did, however, frown just slightly when Charlotte's hand left her skin.

There was a moment of reprieve in Charlotte glancing away for a moment and it was enough for Mickey to smirk lazily, an almost devastating mix of flirty and seductive that she remembered being told, when done during a performance, made a few choice girls on campus question what they believed to be their heterosexuality. "Hmmm...glamorous party or not," she purred, deciding to rephrase Charlotte's own statement, while letting the hand that was already touching the brunette glide down the girl's arm until Mickey was touching the bare skin of her hand. She paused for just a moment, eyeing the connection between their two hands, flicked her gaze up to Charlotte's mouth for just half a second, and then met her gaze once more on a smirk while finishing, "you don't have to worry about any competition." And then cursed whatever part of her brain that recognized how utterly honest that statement was and how much she was in over her head. Besides, if this was all she could get from Charlotte - if this happened to ruin them - then Mickey was all in and proceeded to text Jazmyn before making any further moves.

She wasn't impulsive for nothing.

To: Jaz
U might need to find another ride home. And a couch to crash. Luv u

Mickey tugged lightly at Charlotte's hand until they were practically pressed against one another and she purposefully let her lips brush against the other girl's, definitely not a kiss - not by a long shot - but just enough to feel how soft Charlotte's lips were. Just to tease. "Though, I do now have to question, Miss Arnault," she pressed, a playful glint in her eyes as she flashed a toothy grin the brunette's way, "You sure you can really handle a night with little ol' me? I don't bite...much, not unless you ask, of course."

Charlotte should have backed out of it right then, when Michaela's lips just barely grazed against her own, and suddenly her heart felt like it was beating ten times faster than it already was. She should have laughed aloud, pretended that she was only engaging in this to humor Michaela's typical sensual behavior, and acted like it was all one big joke that she assumed Michaela was in on too. She would have been lying in a response like that, sure, but she felt like it would have looked better than the way that she couldn't stop her eyes from widening slightly at the touch against her lips, a reaction stemming from surprise, intrigue, and lust. It took a second or two for her to grab a hold of herself again, and regain that control that she wanted to have in this banter, before she was able to say, "I've handled you for six years, haven't I? What harm could one night do?" Charlotte knew good and well what harm it could do, but she didn't want to back down either. With all that had already gone on tonight, she didn't think that tomorrow morning, once she was feeling sober and sane, that she could feel anymore mentally displaced than she would already, even if things turned out badly and she and Michaela were no longer friends. She already had to deal with this pretend relationship with Weston, Audrey being on her back ten times harder than usual, and the possibility of destroying her sister's social life (and in turn, academic life, because Charlotte knew for a fact that Juliette would simply drop out of Fulton as a whole if she was kicked out of this sorority), if she messed up, so adding being friendless into that mix wasn't going to make her any more stressed, simply because at this point, Charlotte thought that she was already at her limit.

She wasn't really thinking clear enough to care that by doing this with Michaela, she was potentially risking ruining all of the above mentioned things, because with as crazy as Audrey was, for all Charlotte knew, finding out that she had left this party with Michaela could end up being the straw that broke her. Maybe she would say something like Charlotte clearly still took her warnings as a joke, and she was done with her now, and therefore, would expel Juliette from the sorority as well. If she was thinking, she would have known that doing this was a bad idea, but she wasn't thinking. Not with her brain, at least. There were definitely other parts of her that were thinking, and those weren't involved in any logical processes, but they had taken over her mind for tonight and continued to tell her that she had nothing to lose. She needed some sort of release, and Michaela was going to be it. She told herself that Audrey would never find out, even while knowing that that was greatly underestimating the Alpha President's abilities, but as a "just to be safe" measure, she did text Weston.

To: Weston
Not trying to make myself seem demanding on the first impression... but I'm going to need you to disappear from this party. Going to chill with one of my girl friends, and my alibi is going to be that I'm back with you at the Beta house when Audrey asks. Fuck it up and I'm going to play the "he told me to meet him there, but I guess he decided to fuck with some other girl first, while his girlfriend was sitting around waiting for him :(" card. sorry, not sorry ;)

She put her phone back into her purse and then confirmed that her fake ID and credit card had been returned by the bartender, before finally taking her drink from the counter beside them. Her eyes remained on Mickey then, as she took a larger sip of the rum-infused drink than she should have because, god, was that strong. "Unless you don't think that you can handle a night with me," Charlotte proposed, "I guess all that's left for me to ask is whether you're driving, or I should call an Uber. Better figure it out fast though, because if you let me get more than a few sips into this drink, I think I might start undressing you right here in more ways than with just my eyes, Miss Vaughn," she challenged, her eyebrows raising slightly as she took another sip.

Once she saw a reaction from Charlotte, Michaela knew she still had a firm foot in this situation, and that she wasn't exactly as in over her head as she thought. There was a telltale flush on Charlotte's cheek that appeared as the girl's eyes widened and Michaela didn't even pretend to hide the self-satisfied grin that crossed her features. The lust that danced in the other girl's eyes was enough to placate the part of her that typically felt like Mickey was taking things too far. It absolved her of any guilt; Charlotte had started this, if they were being honest. For once, it wasn't just on Michaela to have been the one to push limits, act on her own dramatics. It had been equal parts on both of them and she felt more smug than she probably should as the girl who was pretty sure she was about to be hooking up with one of her best friends. She noted when Charlotte made somewhat of a face before trying to make a retort, but it only served to make Michaela chuckled as she replied, "Harm? Well, babe, maybe you should ask your wrists that in the morning once I'm done with you."

Michaela had no shame in admitting that she had gotten herself involved in some...less than vanilla sexual escapades. In fact, she bragged about them and had no issues with some of the things she did. Granted, as she had been pretty open about before, she hadn't truly delved as deep as she could have - not out of fear, but simply because it hadn't truly interested her as much. But she had always flirted with the idea of something more, and sue her - she had thought of it more than once or twice occurring with Charlotte. And right about now? Being questioned? Almost...doubted? Yeah, that did something to the ego she liked to dramatize having, not to mention offering a spike to her libido at being challenged. So, she waited until Charlotte had taken that last sip, having been smirking the entire time to herself and ignoring the vibration of her phone that alerted her to another text, waited until Charlotte's attention was fully back on her before speaking. Since, as far as everyone was concerned, if there was one person who could do a lot of talking, it was Mickey. And as she had been told more than twice, she could say some absolutely devastating things. Things she was pretty sure both her Big and her mom would be trying to rinse out of her mouth using holy water. "See the thing is, baby girl, you ask what harm handling me can do..." Michaela slowly let her gaze wander to Charlotte's lips once more, voice dropping an octave, "when I'm the one already aware of all the ways I can have your pretty little ass writhing on my bed. And see, the thing of it is that the only one doing any type of handling tonight is me to you. You just need to decide how much harm you're willing to take cuz trust me," her eyes, the black of her pupils practically swallowing the hazel color with barely restrained want now that she didn't really have to hold back, "you won't have anything to complain about once I really get my hands on you."

Giggling coquettishly and backing off only slightly, Mickey eased the drink from Charlotte's fingers, not even bothering to waste her time in reaching back for the other one since neither of them were staying long enough to finish them, Mickey took the same straw Charlotte was using into her mouth, all the while maintaing eye contact. She wasted no time in sucking up a strong pull of the cold alcoholic beverage, moaning lowly first at the subtle taste of Charlotte's mouth having been there but also at the slight burn of the alcohol. She didn't order Zombies often simply because of how strong the drink really was and how much she wasn't trying to get smashed on the first cup since only two of these were rumored to have knocked people flat on their asses. After two strong drinks, she set the glass back on the bar and grinned. "And come on, ma chΓ©rie," she teased lightly, one of the few times Mickey reminded people of her French-Creole background and her minor grasp of the French language, "you and I both now that if you really wanted me to, I'd rip all of this off right now to have my way with you." Feeling a bit like she had made her point, Mickey grasped Charlotte's hand again, making sure her phone was out in her other hand as she tugged on the other girl, "Think we're ready to blow this popsicle stand, don't ya think?" Already turning to leave, Mickey rolled her eyes at Jazmyn's immediate response, and decided to text her and a few others of her departure.

"You know I was just thinking in my head how we needed one. I feel like I was left in the lumberjack section of Home Depot with all this scruff I'm surrounded by." Cyrus smirks at Amaris' answer. They're not really friends, the statement was said more for his brothers than her, but they're equally good at riling up good ol' Jack Decker. Before Cyrus can reply, however, Jack makes his own statement, regarding the younger Sigma.

Cyrus, my boy! We have enough pretty faces around, but Amaris is into the hairless faces, apparently. She's not into us dogs. She's more into the naked mole rat looking kids, like you, bro." Cyrus rolls his eyes; he's just as used to Jack's antics as the rest of the people in the group, but his response is usually physical, not verbal. Still, he can't help but retort with, "Don't need your fur to get laid, Decker. Maybe you should shave, your bed's collecting dust."

He orders a drink from the bar one last time, eager to feel just a bit more drunk than he is now. He notices Maddox out on the dance floor with an unfamiliar girl, too young to be an alumni. Although it's irrational, he feels a pang of jealously hit his chest. The fact that he couldn't be the one dancing with Maddox there hurt, but he would never out Maddox like that. So he just stood at the bar, silently watching Maddox and the girl until Jack pulls over Juliette Arnault. Now that really puts a smirk on his face.

Juliette feigns ignorance of his identity, and Cyrus chuckles. Oh come on princess, don't act like you don't know me. I'm sure if you don't remember, Char could give you a few ideas. She knows me very well." Cyrus sips his drink, licking his bottom lip after just to rile her up. Amaris sends another jab at Jack, and Cyrus raises his eyebrows. Amaris has a quick tongue, and he's sure she's high on the list of people Jack Decker wants in his bed. And most of those people would probably not make Cyrus' list. Speaking of people he wouldn't mind in his bed, he notices Archie with a group of Alphas, and Ben Cardoso. He'd heard that he and Ya were a thing, and it seems that they are becoming a thing again. But it doesn't look like Archie and Ben aren't getting along, and if that goes astray, it could ruin Cyrus' plans for later tonight, so he continues watching.

ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Charlotte didn't think that, even if she wanted to, she could have come up with words to string together to form any sort of response to what Michaela had just said to her. Tonight was going to be trouble - she could sense it, but she had basically just been told it, too, and yet, there was a smile on her face that was something of a mix between an actual smile, conveying the side of Charlotte that wanted this, and had wanted this for years, and something that was more of a smirk, which indicated that she was almost... wary of what she was getting herself into. She wasn't going to say no to it, that she was absolutely sure of, but Michaela's words had her considering if she was getting herself in over her head. It was a good kind of nervousness that she felt when her friend clasped her hand and led her out, nonetheless, but it said something that the normally competitive and sharp-tongued Charlotte's anxiousness had silenced her for the moment. Granted, it was highly likely that a part of the butterflies she was feeling in her stomach came from the actual anxiety she felt (and this anxiety wasn't the good, nervously excited kind) as they made their escape from the venue, came from the fear of Audrey catching her on the way out. She could already hear the girl's shrill voice, British accent and all, demanding to know where she thought she was going, what she was doing with a Zeta, of all people, after their discussion, and where Weston was. Charlotte had gotten a mere "ok" in response to her text from Weston, which she really hoped meant that he was already on his way out as well, because once she and Michaela reached the parking lot without being interrupted by any demanding redheads, Charlotte decided that Weston failing her was the only thing that could ruin her night.

Her night was bound to be reckless, and maybe she would regret it in the morning, but even with the anxiousness she felt, there was no denying that Charlotte was excited for whatever was about to play out between her and Mickey. Beyond excited, really. It was this kind of rebellion and recklessness that gave the girl life. She never felt more alive than she did when she was blatantly breaking rules or expectations or societal standards, and being able to ditch a formal Greek party to do more than hang out with her best friend, who she had just been banned from interacting with, definitely improved her mood for the night. Sure, she was dressed like an Alpha, and leaving an event that she was only invited to because she was an Alpha, but for the first time in a while, she was finally starting to feel like herself. If that feeling faded in the morning, then so be it. Charlotte was going to make the most of tonight, while this feeling of life still existed. Maybe the way that she was already massaging her wrists mindlessly, a reference to Mickey's earlier statement, proved that she wasn't as confident in knowing what she was really supposed to expect tonight, but she knew for sure that she was more than ready to leave this party, and jump into a night of unknowns.
