Height

5'1

Weight

92 lbs

Eye Color

Brown

Hair Color? Type? Styles?

Her hair is naturally brown and curly. However, for the past three years, she's been regularly dying it a bright red color, and she almost always keeps it straight via Brazilian hair straightening treatments. She chose the bright red color when she decided that red velvet cupcakes are her favorite desserts.

Distinguishing Marks

She's near sighted and needs glasses, which she sometimes wears, but almost always, she will just wear contacts. Her ears are pierced.

Fashion Sense

[Pretty self-explanatory]

Overall Attractiveness

Cat Valentine is a pretty girl. I don't think that many people would argue that. What many people wouldn't argue with either, though, is that she's more cute than she is hot or sexy. Her demeanor might play a role in the perception, but the fact that she's the mere definition of being petite, being very skinny with few curves, definitely means that you won't catch her being compared to a Playboy model anytime soon. Nonetheless, she's quite happy with how she looks.

Good Traits

Optimistic, Energetic, Kind, Friendly

Bad Traits

Spacey, Irresponsible, Carefree, Airhead

Personality

Cat is one of a kind, someone who you can't compare to anyone you've ever met... unless maybe you've met the Energizer Bunny on Prozac. What everyone seems to first notice about her, is that she’s probably the most optimistic person you’ll ever meet. She’s almost always in a good mood, and she has a tendency of finding a way to put a positive spin on everything, even if the logic behind it only makes sense in her mind. Things don’t bother her in the way that they would other people, so if she was walking down the road and got splashed by a car driving through a puddle on the side of the road, she would probably start laughing and talking about how she didn’t know it was supposed to rain today. The positivity is admirable, but understandably, sometimes it leads people to thinking that she’s a bit ‘off’ or out of touch with reality in more ways than are normal. Though it’s natural to her personality, the optimism has always served as a bit of a coping mechanism for her too. Always looking on the bright side has served as the sole force that has allowed her to not end up as a depressed mess given her home life.

The way that her mind works is unique to her, something that isn’t worth even trying to figure out how it works, because it’s impossible. The ADHD that she was diagnosed with (and that her parents had always refused to medicate her for, secretly citing that they needed one “normal” child) plays a role in it, but her entire personality can’t be blamed on that. She’s ditzy, energetic, peppy, eccentric, positive and a social butterfly; a ray of sunshine who might come on strong sometimes, or cause people to be confused about how or why she’s so spacey and seemingly living in her own world, but someone of good intentions nonetheless.

She gets distracted very easily, which is why including her in your study group is probably a bad idea, but if you’re going through a bad breakup and need someone to remind you of how absolutely gorgeous you are, and how the person that cheated on you had a million and one flaws of their own, she’s your girl. Her laugh is contagious and she always likes to try new things, and even if her innocent demeanor sometimes seems childish, she’s not the kind of person who likes being dependent on other people. It happens sometimes, and always because she just doesn’t realize that she’s being irresponsible or dumb in the moment, but she likes the idea of being able to help other people more than she likes the idea of other people helping her.

Strengths

She's an amazing singer and actor. She's great at making friends and cheering people up. She has a cute charm to her that makes it easy for her to get her way.

Weaknesses

She gets distracted very easily. She's a horrible driver. She keeps her negative feelings bottled up.

Greatest Joys in Life

She loves everything Disney, candy, her friends, and music.

Greatest Fears

She fears spiders, clowns, and her brother when he's off his medication.

Priorities

[We are starting at the end of the first semester of the 2016-2017 school year, so what is your character prioritizing as of right now? Grades? Enjoying the rest of the year? Elevating themselves socially? Getting with that special someone by prom?]

Upbringing

Catarina Valentine was born to Joseph and Teresa Valentine; an accident that they embraced to the best of their ability. They were both employed at the University of Southern California at the time, making combined salaries of nearly four hundred thousand dollars a year. They could afford to care for another child, that was for sure, and six years ago, they would have welcomed the idea of adding a little girl to their family, but that was only because five years before Cat was born, her brother was born. At first, Antonio seemed like a happy and healthy little boy, but right around the time of Catarina’s creation, he was diagnosed with autism. The diagnoses kept coming, as doctors struggled to put a word on the boy’s dangerous, disruptive, and nearly impossible to predict and control behavior. Eventually, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia; the one diagnosis that seemed to be the most accurate. He was placed on medication, and when medicated, was actually a fairly normal person. However, especially as he got older, keeping him on the medication was what proved to be difficult. Needless to say, her parents had a lot on their plate when it came for maintaining proper care for their son, so for most of her life, Catarina was always the second priority compared to her brother.

Her parents are not and were not bad people. They just struggled to raise two kids when one of them had such demanding medical needs, and, as they soon found out, the other had bad ADHD. They didn’t leave Cat locked in a bedroom with a box of cereal for days at a time, and though she was definitely deprived of attention sometimes, they did their best to keep her happy. For the most part, this involved enrolling her in as many extracurricular activities as possible to keep her busy and social. Early on, she took a major interest in singing and acting. Those are the two hobbies that she continues to excel in tremendously, but through all her years of random activities, she’s also great at sewing and costume design, tap dancing, juggling, swimming and gymnastics. She learned to embrace social interaction outside of her house, since her home was usually a very stressful place to be in, and she quickly became the definition of a social butterfly.

She was enrolled at The Buckley School starting in kindergarten, and has never considered transferring elsewhere. Although she certainly is no honor roll student, she participates in tons of activities and is one of those people that everyone seems to know, simply because she’s so friendly and social.

Idol or Hero

Growing up, she loved Kim Possible.

Education

She has been at Buckley since kindergarten.

Secrets

In most senses, Cat is an open book. She'll tell you about her crush, or how horribly she did on her math exam without a second thought. The only things that she keeps a secret are the things that really scare her, so if she has a real and major crush, she won't scare it because the feelings will be deep enough for her to want to suppress him. While she will randomly share bits and pieces of the weird stuff her brother does at home, the magnitude of how much her brother's behavior has affected her isn't something that she would ever explicitly share, even if it's apparent indirectly, like observing her behavior. For example, she'll randomly bring up how her brother tried to eat her favorite charm bracelet the day before, but she won't tell you about how her parents had to install a double lock on her bedroom door because she's woken up horrified in the middle of the night to her brother sitting on the floor of her room masturbating. Stuff like that is what she doesn't like to think about.

Summer Spent

Cat spent her summer working as a day camp counselor at the theater camp that she attended as a child. What she would tell you was more important, though, was that she finally learned how to snap her fingers and that she had dinner at a table next to Will Ferrell in a restaurant.

Socioeconomic Status

Upper Class - her parents combined salaries are close to half a million dollars per year. She isn't as wealthy as some of her peers, but by no means does she struggle, either.

Residence

14431 Glorietta Dr, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423

Transportation

Cat has her own car, a 2017 Audi Q3,
but she is a textbook bad driver. It's shocking that she managed to even obtain her license, and because she's already hit two parked cars in her short career as a driver, she doesn't drive herself around whenever there's another option.

Image
Family Member

Cat's parents are both college professors, which means they're busy in their own right. Having to care for a twenty-two year old schizophrenic and mildly autistic son means that they virtually have no free time on their hands, and it's basically been that way for her entire life. Cat loves her parents, and she would never speak poorly of them, but there will always been that feeling of "I was always second priority" given how much attention they gave her brother over her. It's much easier to say that Cat has a bad relationship with her brother, but that's mostly because she never had a real relationship with him. For her entire youth, her parents did their best to keep them as physically separate as possible. Cat was kind of raised believing that he was scary and dangerous, so she doesn't hold much sibling love for him.

Lifer? Newcomer?

Lifer

Scholarship or No?

No

Clique

Performer

Are you happy here? Why or why not?

Of course! Cat loves performing musically, and adores all of the people who are involved in the theater classes and play productions she takes. What makes being happy about her spot on the ladder easier, though, is that her social tendencies allow her to mix and mingle with so many people, that she could probably be considered to be a free-spirit, too.

If you could change your clique, would you? To What?

She's almost just as much of a free-spirit as she is a performer, but she's not looking to change where she stands.

Clubs, Sports or Teams?

Musical Theater Club, Teen Battle Chef, FIDM Fashion Club, The International Thespian Society

What are you looking forward to the most?

The spring musical and prom

Aaliyah sighed softly, pausing in her fingerwork to stare at the thick mass of dark curls that sat before her. Tiny hunched shoulders remained steadfast in their defensive posture, as if by some miracle the stance would protect them from the vicious enemy. The vicious enemy being her fingers, which honestly weren't even as offensive as Genneya was making them out to be. "Genneya," she began quite calmly, which only served to make said pre-teen wince because despite the tranquil note to her sister's voice, Genneya knew for a fact that underlying it was an annoyance that Aaliyah hadn't allowed to reach her eyes yet. Aaliyah didn't speak for a moment, just reached over to her nightstand - over the sleeping toddler who had made herself quite comfortable tucked into Aaliyah's side after indulging in a few bites of Aaliyah's dessert - to pick up the bottle of The Dudes’ Grandma’s Pecan English Style Brown Ale. Aaliyah wasn't exactly a beer person per say, but their chef Lauren had always said that it paired excellently with her Salted Pretzel Toffee Bread Pudding with Stout Anglaise, whipped cream and candied pecans. And since it was rare for Aaliyah to turn down a dessert and she was supposed to be pre-gaming with her girls, she hadn't hesitated to snack on it (with her niece, Sophia's, help, of course) while sipping beer. While drinking, Aaliyah text Ace back, smirking to herself as she did so. Once she had two strong swallows, Aaliyah set the bottle back down and turned back to the task at hand, finishing her statement, "you have far too much hair to act like you're tender-headed. I'm literally just finishing the big cornrow on the left side and then I have to do the one on the right. I warned you that it was going to feel a little tight when I combined all of the cornrows."

"Yeah, but you didn't say that you were going to make it tight," Genneya whined, shooting a small glare Camila's way just for being in Aaliyah's room and not saving her. It definitely wasn't the senior's fault, but someone had to pay for her misgivings. Aaliyah raised her eyes to the ceiling for a moment, as if praying for a silent miracle, and then cut her eyes at the drawn curtains that led to her sitting area. She had let Juliette go in there and change and even had Genneya move the floor length mirror in there so that the brunette could see what she was trying on. "But you knew I was going to have to. Your hair doesn't stay in braids for too long unless I make them tight and I refuse to redo them simply because they're making you uncomfortable right now," Aaliyah explained, putting a bit of Kim Kimble's Bounce Back Curl Cream into the palm of her hands, rubbing them together, and then applying it to the braid she was working on. It wasn't going to take long to finish Genneya's hair, especially if Aaliyah managed to ignore her sister's pouting and flinching. Besides, she really did need to hurry if Gigi and Damien were going to sneak out of the house with Sophia sleep. The toddler would have demanded that she go to Glowzone with them and then that Genneya entertain her for the night as if the rest of her classmates weren't who Genneya were there for. "Fiiiiiinnne. But I'm telling Cyd that you're abusing me." That was enough to make Aaliyah roll her eyes. "Have at it then." And once Genneya pulled her phone out of her pocket, she very much did.

To: Cyd
Ur cuzzin is abusin me.

To: Cat
Ur lucky Leah doesn't do ur hair like she does mine. She's abusive D:

To: Ace
Cry me a river ;D

Soon enough, though, and much quicker than Genneya had expected, Aaliyah had finished her hair. It had never taken Aaliyah long to do her hair, anyway. "Alright, you better leave while this one," Leah nodded towards a sleeping Sophia who cuddled further into her side, small head creeping onto Aaliyah's lap, "is down for the count. Have fun. And don't let your brother get on any rides. Tonight is for all of you." If Genneya had truly heard any of what Aaliyah had said, the older Shanks girl wouldn't have known because the child rushed the slide back into her shoes and scoop of her phone and bag before dashing out of the room while exclaiming really fast, "Ok. Thank you. Love you. Bye!" With another sigh, Aaliyah relaxed back against her pillows, fixing Camila with a look. "One down, another one to go." The other one being Juliette. It wouldn't take Aaliyah too long to get ready, especially since her hair and makeup were already done. She had figured out her look for the night already and was quite comfortable with the idea of it. Juliette was always a completely different story. The girl was never really the first one prepared for a really casual party and she was always freaked out when she needed to prepare for one. And freaking out always entailed a shopping excursion Juliette's already stuffed closet didn't need. Speaking of, while Aaliyah reached for her beer again, she called over to the sitting area, "Jules, we're still waiting."

Cat's Outfit
"Dammit, Cat, would you stop moving?" Cydnee growled, reaching to grab a Q-tip to erase the skewed eyeliner line that the sharp move of Cat's head had caused. After doing the girl's makeup so many times, Cydnee was pretty accustomed to literally having to hold her head in place with more physical force than she would ever use on any other client, but somehow, Cat always still managed to move around enough to mess things up. That was why it usually took Cydnee forty-five minutes to an hour to finish the look that was natural enough that only, ideally, should have taken twenty minutes, tops. Cat had a face and style that was cute more than it was sexy, which wasn't a bad thing, as it definitely worked for her, especially given her personality, but it also meant that Cydnee couldn't go all out and paint her face into something mature. There were times when she did like to experiment on Cat, but only when she knew that Cat wasn't actually going anywhere afterwards. Tonight, she left the girl with a clean and simple look, though she did plan on obliging in her request for sparkles, by covering her nude shaded eyes with some glitter... if she could ever get up to that point.

"I'm not moving," Cat objected, even though she definitely had been. She was growing reckless from having to sit still for so long, especially as Gigi's text arrived in her inbox, and she was reminded of how much fun she could be having right now. Not that the mention of Aaliyah alluded to fun, but just the reminder of Gigi did. "Remember to do sparkles! I love sparkles!" she added in though, as she did her best to keep her head still all while typing out a response to Gigi.

To: Gigi
What does your hair look like! Is it pretty!

"Really? You're not moving?" Cydnee questioned sarcastically with a roll of her eyes, as Cat opened her eyes mid eye liner application to answer her phone. Luckily, Cydnee had just about finished them up by then, and paused to read her own text from Gigi too. She had her own response for the girl, one that was meant half-playfully, but only because as much as she was joking, it wasn't uncommon for she and Aaliyah to settle their silly little squabbles with a sometimes less-than-playful hit or two.

To: Gigi
Pop that bitch right in the jaw. From my experience that's the only way she seems to learn who she is not gonna be messing with

"Just sit still so I can finish your eyes, and then I just need to use some setting spray on you and you'll be good," she insisted once her phone was resting on her vanity once again. She turned Cat's swivel chair slightly, so she was facing her better, and snatched the girl's phone from her hands before tossing it across the room where it landed on her bed with a gentle thud. "That's so you'll keep your eyes shut," she reasoned, pushing Cat's head back only slightly so the lighting hit her better.

Cat was going to do her best to remain still, especially now that her phone was nowhere within reach, but she didn't think it was necessary to stop moving her mouth when all Cydnee was working on was her eyes. "Me and you should totally skip Ace's party and go to Glowzone with Gigi instead! They have laser tag and mini golf there!"

"And Ace's house has vodka and tequila. Pretty sure one easily beats the other on the fun meter, Cat."

"That's what I'm saying! Laser tag is more fun than that!" Cat agreed enthusiastically, as if Cydnee had used her line as a reinforcement that Gigi's party sounded more fun too. "Alcohol doesn't even taste good."

"You don't drink it because it tastes good. I'll make you something tonight that tastes good enough and show you it's better than laser tag. Have you ever even tried it before?"

"One time when I was in second grade, I was at my communion at church and I drank wine," she offered, as if that really counted. "It tasted gross and a bunch of people drank out of the same cup right before me which is probably why I got strep throat the next day."

"That doesn't count," Cydnee said, too occupied with stepping back to examine Cat's face from afar to focus on giving her a deadpan expression at the girl for really thinking that that example counted. Her face looked good, even if the looks she gave Cat were never extremely memorable. Again, they couldn't be. It just wouldn't fit with who Cat was. Sometimes for that reason, combined with the fact that Cat was her friend (whether she wanted to admit that or not), Cydnee felt bad about still charging the girl. It was clear that Cat liked getting her makeup done at least in part out of having a desire to socialize, and it was sad that she had to pay for that, but Cydnee always had to remind herself that it was Cat who drove an Audi, not her. Cydnee had never been to Cat's house, and she honestly knew very little about the girl's upbringing, but she was pretty sure that she came from money. If not, there was no way that she would be so willing to spend $50 once a week or so, for Cydnee to do her makeup. "You look good," she said, after the final touches were done and she had sprayed the girl with a setting spray to keep everything in place.

With the final blessing that she could finally open her eyes and move, Cat spun around to face herself in Cydnee's mirror. "I do look good," she instantly beamed, admiring her reflection in the mirror. She had come to Cydnee's house completely ready for the party, and she didn't even consider that Cydnee would want time to herself now to get ready before going to the party. In her mind, they were going to the party together because... well, why not?! She did, however, know that she needed to reach out to some friends since Cydnee's dictator-styled makeover session had forced her to relinquish her phone for a bit, so the first thing that she did once she retrieved it was make a Snapchat video. Finding the cat filter, her favorite one, she began filming herself, saying, "Hey guys! Look how pretty Cydnee made me! I love her! Haha!", before flipping the camera to face the girl as Cat continued to laugh happily. She made sure to personally send it to Jasmine, Gigi, Ari, Juliette, Sabina, and Cydnee herself, before also posting it to her Story.

Jasmine's creation of Sam, Behati's outfit, Jasmine's outfit
[x],[x],[x]

XX"Nope. No way..." Jasmine can feel a sigh emanate from the deepest part of her soul. She had already managed, with the help of Behati, to convince her younger brother to attend tonight's party. Not because she thinks he necessarily has to be there, but a little bit of unwinding is surely needed on both their parts. Aside from that, Jasmine knows for a fact that she's not the only one hoping to see him there. However, that battle has already been won and Sam has begrudgingly agreed to attend. The obstacle now is the outfit Jasmine had already picked out for him (convinced that she would by any means get him to show up).

XXShe stands on the other side of the bedroom door, arms placed on her hips in concern, while her eyes bore holes into the closed door. "Come on Sam, just let us see" he argues as calmly and sweetly as her impulsive nature allows her to. There's a long stretch of silence and finally, much to Jasmine's relief, the wooden structure slowly opens. The sixteen year old boy steps out as if carefully calculating his every step, and a proud smile makes it's way onto Jasmine's red-tainted lips. "How do you feel?"

XXSam resist an eyeroll with full force, moving in place a bit to make sure the black fitted pants haven't cut off all of his circulation. "Like death" he mutters, extremely tempted to run back into the comfort of his bedroom and pull on his usual sweatpants and plain black t-shirt. Jasmine doesn't fail to catch on and quickly takes his hand, leading him further away from the possibility of barricading himself in his bedroom. "Well you look amazing!" she chimes. "What's the point of having a killer body like that if you don't show it off". The comment alone in enough to make Samuel's pale cheeks tint a heavy pink, and the fact that he and his sister are not the only ones in the room isn't helping his cause. Round, pleading eyes shoot in Bea's direction, desperately hoping she'll say he looks terrible and that Jasmine should not be allowed to dress him ever again.

XXIt had been approximately forty five minutes since Behati arrived at the Kim's residence, and already she was feeling a bit exhausted. She had gotten a call from Jasmine, on her way out, about needing help to drag Sam from his room and to the party that was about to take place soon. Now, she stood with one heel tapping impatiently, and a hand positioned on her hip.

XXXXThey were going to be late. Sam was going to make them all late.

XXStaring at his door, she anticipated for it to open and to see Sam clothed in whatever overdressed, outerwear his sister forced him to wear. But, he didn't and Bea can just imagine her friend on the other side passing back and forth, anxiety hitting him faster than a speeding bullet.

XXShe felt bad. Really bad. She knew that he didn't want to go, but to some degree Bea wanted him to have one night to enjoy for the sake of memories. It was one party that he had to attend, neither Bea or Jasmine asked for anything more. Bea knew that Jasmine loved her brother tremendously, if she didn't than she wouldn't be going through any trouble dealing with Sam's stubbornness, and Bea wouldn't be there counting down the minutes until she would finally be getting her groove on.

XXXFifteen minutes passed, and with an exasperated eye roll Bea looked to Jasmine simultaneously jerking her head towards the door as if to say, "go get your brother." Jasmine made no hesitation as Bea watched the petite girl step up to the closed door, eyes peeking through its tiny slits, "Come on Sam," she called, "just let us see."

XXAt that, there was a click followed by an audible creak as the door swung open and out stepped Sam, careful with each step he took as if he emerged a jester waiting to be laughed at. But, there was only Jasmine and Behati's eyes who saw, and Bea found herself gaping at Sam longer than should be. Her eyes trailing from his black sneakers, noticeably buffed, to his jeans, and his silk shirt its zipper left open revealing a perfectly set of abs, sculpted in all its glory.

XXBehati knew that Samuel was good looking, but she wasn't the one to praise him for it. His warm personality was reason to forget his physical attributes, and for Bea that was enough. They've been best friends long enough for her to forget that alongside his amiable personality there was a fitted Sam standing before her. Witnessing it brought mixed feelings to Bea uncalled for, and it wasn't long before she felt Jasmine's eyes on her including Sam who gazed up at her from the floor. His dark eyes were pleading for Bea to snap at Jasmine for dressing him, like some Ken doll. But, a part of her also wanted to hug and thank Jasmine for dressing him up, like quote on quote 'some Ken doll.'

XXFinally, Bea managed to clear her throat, "Jasmine's right, Sammy. You look handsome." Taking a step closer to him, she tugged playfully at his shirt and added, "Are you sure I'm not the Duff in this relationship?" Referencing a well-known movie, her Hazel eyes looked up, greeting him with an honest smile.

XXSam's dark orbs meet his best friend's for a couple of beats before falling to the wooden floor underneath his new sneakers, provided by none other than his beloved sister. "Of course not. You look beautiful..." he muttered, the pink tint on his cheeks only increasing with every passing second. But he didn't see the point in arguing anymore. It was two against one and, even if it had just been Jasmine he knows he would have ended up losing, but the fact that Bea was present to back her up only tripled the impossible. Letting a triumphant smile settle on her features, Jasmine took a step back to allow Behati to lift up Sam's courage. It most certainly was a good move to call her over. But now about an hour had passed and if they didn't get a move on they were going to be late.

XX"Great then, let's go!" she exclaimed with a loud clap of her small hands, taking hold of her purse and car keys. "I still have to pick up Cat!" the petite blonde added in alarm upon seeing the Snapchat notification. There's no doubt in her mind they would be late now, but having been able to convince Samuel to not only join them, but to allow himself to look painfully handsome for a night, was definitely a great victory and one worth being late for. Taking a quick snap of her brother's attire without his knowledge, she quickly sent it a couple of people's way. The battle may be won, but the war isn't over and some extra back up won't hurt.

    To: Jasper, Jenna, Charlie
MSG: Please bombard Sammy with messages and tell him he looks handsome enough to stop traffic.
    Open Attachment

XXAfter the text had been sent on it's way, Jasmine made sure to reply to cat with a Snapchat of her own and a quick Adorably beautiful as always! We're heading over to pick you up. before strutting towards the door. Or in Sam's case, to the point of no return. It's not that he had anything against parties, or getting dressed up, but it's no secret Sam is clueless when it comes to socializing and, despite what Jasmine and Bea may insist on, he doesn't believe himself handsome enough to pull off the majority of the clothes Jasmine finds him. The thought of "turning heads", as she so excitedly put it, isn't something Sam tends to do nor is it something he knows how to handle. The only comfort is knowing that he won't be alone at this party and if need be, he'll steal Jasmine's car keys and drive right back home where he should be. She can always find another ride.

Sam held onto the seat belt laying across his chest, terrified for his life. Generally Jasmine is a good driver, but he had forgotten just how lethal she can be behind the wheel when she's in a hurry. "Seriously, the light has been green for like ten hours, what are you even doing!" she protests at the small car in front of them with a couple of honks, earning an exasperated sigh from the boy in the passenger seat. He gives Behati, who's gotten the backseat, an apologetic look on his sister's behalf.

"You know the world isn't going to end if we're a few minutes late." Sam comments, immediately biting the tip of his right thumb in regret. He really shouldn't be the one to talk considering he's the reason they're running behind in the first place, but really it's just a party and no one arrives on time anyway. Of course, Sam is in no hurry to get there. Jasmine, on the other hand, is gas-pedal friendly. Her eyes, hidden behind round sunglasses, dash across the street before the car makes a sharp turn. "No, but I will get an earful from Cydnee if I don't give her the Cat free time I promised." the small blonde huffs, the screeching of the wheels almost drowning out the last few words as the vehicle comes to an abrupt stop in front of a very lavish residence. Jasmine wastes no time to pull out her phone and send Cat a quick text, responding to Jenna's in the process.

Letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding, Sam unbuckles the safety belt and transfers himself to the backseat. Bea is probably already exhausted from having to keep up with Jasmine so it's only fair he saves her the struggle of having to keep up with Cat too. He wiggles carefully into the seat, still just as uncomfortable in the clothing as when he first put them on, giving Bea a pained look in the process because in a way his suffering is also her fault. His shirt is now zipped up to just bellow his collar bone and tucked into the black jeans, which he's convinced will explode off of his body if he makes any sudden movements, leaving little to no space for his phone.

As if on gueue, the device begins to buzz uncontrollably the second he sets it on the seat beside him. He picks it up, reading Charlotte and Jenna's messages back to back, his cheeks quickly tinting pink and eyebrows flying up at their content. There's no need for him to wonder how they know what he looks like, this is obviously Jasmine's doing. He can feel the subtle heat in his cheeks increase tenfold and his heart seems to stop for a good minute the moment Jasper's name pops up along with the rest. Out of all the people she could have messaged! Not a word about Sam's growing and most likely unrequited feelings towards the jock have ever left his mouth, but Jasmine has always been exceptionally skilled at reading him. There's no doubt in his mind that she has caught on by now and while part of him is relieved, the other part really wishes she hadn't, precisely because of situations like these.

Sam's dark and rounded eyes shoot upwards to meet his sister's in the rear view mirror, his cheeks now a pair of ripe tomatoes and his tone low and distressed. "Why are you like this?". The feeble protest only earns him a giggle from the girl in the driver's seat, who is clearly very proud of her actions.

"You're welcome!"

Cat's Outfit
Cydnee considered trying to get ready while Cat was still in her bedroom, but she knew that was going to be more trouble than it was worth. The energetic redhead would either insist on trying to do Cydnee's makeup for her, or if Cydnee left her vanity unattended for even a minute, she was sure that Cat would find her way into her expensive stuff and somehow find a way to ruin it. Instead, Cydnee opted to walk her downstairs. She didn't specifically tell Cat to get out, because she wasn't that stressed out where she needed to be rude, but also because she knew Jasmine would get there eventually to pick her up, but forcing her into the foyer of the Shanks home was the closest she could get to doing just that. "Don't be touching your face like that. You know that's bad for your skin, don't you?" she said, doing her best not to sound snappy as she watched the girl glide her fingers over the highlighter on her cheekbones. Not only was people touching their faces a pet peeve of Cydnee's (because she was one of those people who hated the idea of people letting their dirty hands cause breakouts on their skin), but she didn't want the girl to somehow mess up the makeup. Even if Cat didn't ask her to redo it, Cydnee would feel compelled to do so, because anyone who walked out of her door with a face of makeup was a reflection of her. Doing a bad job (even if it wasn't her fault), would only make her bad, and in turn, possibly deter future clients from inquiring.

"My hands are clean!" Cat insisted, though she did drop her hand back to her side. "I just wanted to make sure you made my face shimmery too!" she insisted, though with the setting spray that Cydnee had sprayed on her, little of the makeup even came off when she touched her face, so she still felt half-convinced of it, even as she peered into one of the mirrors on the wall to confirm that the highlighter was there. "Are you sure that you don't want to just come with me and Jasmine and everyone else now? You can sit on Sam's lap if there's no room in the car. He won't mind! You don't wanna be late!" she chirped, though she was barely even listening to herself speak as she opened up videos on Snapchat of people she followed. As she was watching a Snap, she got a text from Jasmine, saying that the girl was already waiting outside. "She's here! You're really, really, really sure that you don't want to come?"

Cydnee was glad that Jasmine had arrived, and was also glad that she had informed a staff member to be expecting the girl's car shortly, so that the gates to the residence were already open for her to drive through, shortening the amount of time she had to wait even more. "I don't have an ounce of makeup on," she said, as if Cat were stupid to even think she would possibly say yes to leaving now given that. "Just go, I'll see you when I get there, okay?" she said, holding the front door open for the girl. She liked Cat, but she liked her in small doses. Too much, and she was a headache waiting to happen. "And keep those damn hands away from your face!" she chastised once more, as the girl was heading out.

"Okay, okay!" Cat called out to Cydnee, as she did her best to run carefully in her heels out to Jasmine's car. She assumed that she was going to have to sit in the back seat, but her face lit up when she spotted the passenger's seat empty, and she quickly took the opportunity to round the car and claim the seat as her own. She didn't even question why it was empty when Sam and Bea were in the car too, instead basking in the happiness of getting to sit next to Jasmine, but with all of them in the same car, overall. "Hi people!" she gleamed when she slid in, shutting the door behind her. "Tonight's going to be so fun! You all look so pretty! Even you, Sam!" she said, and it wasn't because she meant that Sam naturally looked unattractive, but more-so because she considered "pretty" to be a feminine adjective, and felt the need to clarify.

When Cat was outside, Cydnee quickly shut the door behind her and returned to her bedroom. She read Aaliyah's text along the way, and smirked at it, though she was sure her cheeks grew hotter at the sight of it, too. Aaliyah was the only person who knew that she had a very unexpected thing for Juliette Arnault. It was a crush that Cydnee wasn't necessarily proud of. Juliette was a spoiled brat, who wasn't smart or kind or anything else that would be somewhat admirable in Cydnee's book. It was the way that she was so easy to bother, and get a reaction out of, that probably enhanced the fun that she hand bothering Juliette, but she always felt more than just amusement when she provoked and teased the Royal. She didn't want to have a crush on her, but it was one of those crushes that she couldn't shake, no matter how hard she tried. While she had come to terms with the unwanted feelings by now, what made the matter all the more difficult was that she couldn't stop being mean to Juliette. Even if the snarkiness was only meant playfully (or at least some times it was only meant playfully), Juliette was so sensitive that Cydnee knew that the girl disliked her, and Cydnee had too much pride to stop antagonizing her and try to approach the crush aspect of their relationship in a way that had any possibility of actually panning out in her favor. It was... complicated to say the least, and she knew that Aaliyah knew that too, which was why she had to respond back in the way that she did.

To: Leah
You don't get cousin of the year award til she's sitting on my lap... or... elsewhere... and definitely not in the seat next to me. Sorry boo, if you're good enough you'll keep trying for your favorite cousin tho <3

"Thaaaaanks, Caaaaaaaaasssss," Luke dragged out with glee before downing the his second shot of tequila, taking great pleasure in partaking in the expensive alcohol that the Shank family bar held. It didn't hit him that perhaps he should question why it was so easy for rich kids to just randomly get drinks from the bars in their home, especially considering the fact that the people who served them were old enough to know better. Yeah, there was no questioning anything, especially with him reaping the benefits of what some would consider parental neglect. The alcohol definitely did still burn, but he was able to appreciate the silky mouth-fill and was highly anticipating the tequila sunrises that had been placed on a tray for him to take upstairs. The bartender in question, an adorably scrumptious man in his mid-twenties, flushed at the praise. Luke was sure that the reddened skin had more to do with the outlandish flirtations he had bestowed upon the guy to sublimate the slight annoyance he had entered the spacious manor with, but he wasn't going to spend his time wondering when he could be upstairs with the fabulous Royal girls of Buckley just before a big party.

Soon enough, because all it had taken was for Lucas to get lost once for him to never want to play hide-and-seek with his queen's room again, Luke was outside of Aaliyah's door. Knowing damn well he was still going to burst into the room, Luke gave the door two light raps from his knuckles while exclaiming, "I'm coming in, bitches, so you either better be real comfy with me seeing your birthday suit cuz we all know y'all ain't got nothing that I want or you better be covered up because," he opened the door with his free hand, arm posed above his head dramatically and a big grin on his face, "the cutest one has arrived! And I even brought gifts of illegal alcohol consumption, so you should all come and love me." Giggling, Luke waltzed into the bedroom, not seeing Aaliyah but focusing on the two brunettes already quite comfortable in her space. "Yaaaaaaaasssss babies! Y'all better work!" He exclaimed and then lowered the tray to them so that Camila and Juliette could get two of the four drinks on the tray. Once that was settled, he set the tray on one of Aaliyah's end tables and grabbed the last two drinks, not hesitating to suck the straw of the one to his left into his mouth to take in some of the sweet alcoholic goodness. Satisfied, he then looked around the room. "And where is my favorite little queenie who has yet to grace me with her presence?"

"I like this one better," Gigi stated, finally settling in her seat and ignoring the very disgurnted expression on her brother's face. They had already gotten into his SUV since Aaliyah threatened him with death if he let any rugrat that wasn't just either Genneya or Sophia into hers, but Genneya had made them stop not even five minutes from the house for a good picture to send to Catarina. Her relationship with the senior probably shouldn't be as close as it was considering Cat was five seconds from graduating Buckley and Genneya from leaving middle school, but it worked for them. It helped that Cat just had a natural almost childlike energy about her that Gigi could relate to, even though she occasionally liked the idea of seeming more mature at times a lot more. Nevertheless, she was pressed to give her friend a good picture of her sister's work and Damien was pulling away when he remarked, "Right, cuz the last five weren't practically the same." Genneya huffed as she sent the both the pic and text to her friend, replying distractedly. "Practically being the operative word." Damien groaned dramatically. "Oh my God, you sound like your sister." Genneya only smiled wickedly and leaned over to plant a big wet kiss on his cheek, ignoring the loud complaints with a giggle.

Soon enough, after punching in the address on the GPS for Damien, they were pulling up to Sabina's and Genneya hurried to text the other girl, answering a few messages from other classmates who needed any more information. Typically, there were planned events by Buckley for the middle schoolers once the semester was starting to close. Her mom had surprised her (though, Gigi was adamant, even though she denied it, that Aaliyah had more of a hand in it than she wanted to admit) by stating that she had already talked with the administration about planning an evening for the lower school division. It was in Genneya's name, which definitely made her beam with pleasure because her classmates and friends all thought she was the cool one for recommending an awesome place lik Glowzone, but it was also her mom's version of donating before the drive on Monday. Nevertheless, Gigi was more than happy about her mother's random acts of kindness and generosity, especially if it meant she was allowed to reap the funner benefits of them. Once the house was in view, she text Sabina again. The two probably weren't going to be toting friendship bracelets or anything like that, but she did appreciate that they got along nice enough.

If there's one thing that Rhiannon knew about Roman was that he was an ass, hot, but an asshole nonetheless. So, it was no surprise that when she opened the door to an indifferent Roman, he stared back acknowledging very little of the babe that was Rhiannon Prinsloo. He had his fair share of girls that came and went, some that were a little harder than others to rid, but Rhia became a nice boost to his reputation. Young, wild, enigmatic, and insanely gorgeous, so who wouldn't want to be the lucky guy to say they banged Buckley's bad ass chick? Surely, Roman was that lucky guy enough to say he did. The two had "no strings attached" sex two.. three times within the last semester, so to say that Roman hadn't gotten her to bed would be an understatement. Nevertheless, they were friends, they were able to have a normal functioning conversation without having the urge to rip at each others clothes. At least that's what Roman was getting at when he referred to Rhiannon with his utmost, bullshitted ass formality as he brushed passed her, "Good evening, Miss Prinsloo." The greeting was enough for Rhiannon to roll her eyes, shutting the door after him. What a poser. Rhiannon knew damn well that if they weren't in the graces of Casper's home they'd be shoving tongues down each other's throats long before she opened the door for him.

"You mentioned pizza?" Rhiannon followed him to the kitchen where she found him rummaging through cabinets in dire need of something strong, an alcoholic beverage that would make him unconscious to his problems. And the long swig he took from one of Casper's step dad's Corona was enough to give Rhiannon a sign that something was wrong besides Roman's usual bitchiness mood that either she or Casper had to deal with. Something was off, and Rhiannon wanted to find what that something was. They had sex, sure, but can you blame a girl for caring the very least? She watched him lean over the counter, locking eyes with her on the other side of the room with one hand on her hip and a heel out; Rhiannon's infamous, defiant stance that meant she was business. "And where has my wife ran off to?" And then there was the finger tapping of his glass. As Rhiannon assumed, something had the princess distraught.

She walked towards him until they were both leaning over the counter. Face to face, Rhiannon could feel Roman's breath hot as it tingled her cheeks, and it was then when she really saw the color in his eyes. "You mean the pizza I had not ordered for you?" The corners of her mouth lifting into a mischievous smile, "Don't worry it'll be here shortly, and your 'wife' is upstairs getting dressed for the party no one had any business telling him, but don't worry" She leaned in closer to him, pressing her lips against his ear in a whisper "that leaves time for you and I to...chat." The distraction was enough for Rhiannon to successfully seize the beer for herself, purposely locking fingers with Roman in the process before taking a quick chug at his drink.

Catching her breath, she pried the bottle away from her lips and examined the content in her hands before turning her focus back to Roman. "Now talk, what's gotten you all worked up?" She gasped, "Don't tell me it's your shark week?" Pouting, she blinked her eyes at him once.

The look Sam was giving Bea was priceless as he joined her in the back. She watched, amused as he strained to buckle his seat belt, his clothes looking a little to suffocating in various areas. For a second Bea worried that if he moved another muscle, his clothes might rip for being too tight. The thought of him loosing a button or two made Bea bite down on her bottom lip, suppressing herself before she exploded into fits of laughter. Still, seeing Sam struggle a bit was dorkishly adorable. He was dorkishly adorable in ways that Bea often had to look away at times ignoring the desire to reach across and ruffle his hair just to get him riled up, or better yet sink low in utter embarrassment.

A few moments in the car passed before Bea thought it was necessary to text her sister to see where she was at. She hadn't seen Rhiannon before Dad dropped Bea off at the Kim's residence due to her car being in maintenance at the shop. So, what better time would it be to text her now when Jas was driving to pick up Cat?

TO: Rye-Rye
YO! Where you at?

She examined the display as it informed Bea that her sister quickly read it within a few seconds it was sent.

From (1/2): Rye-Rye
At the corner of happy and healthy.

From (2/2): Rye-Rye
Kidding... I'm at Casper's.

Casper. The name was not foreign to Bea. She knew him well enough to know that he and Rhiannon were an inseparable pair, and he was nothing but trouble. He was always at the Prinsloo's house visiting Rhiannon of course; however, bringing up the devil's name in vain brought back the past Bea wished to never repeat. They almost kissed last semester at a party, or he was the one to almost kiss her. As if it was yesterday, the memories of what happened three months ago still linger, the talking, the "getting to know each other" without the presence of Rhiannon taking Casper on some wild espionage. That night made Bea realize that Casper was genuinely a nice guy whether the rumors were true, he seemed to be interested in her. That was until, without a warning, he leaned his head towards Bea almost immediately, and it was then when she could smell the stench of cigarettes and alcohol. He was as she least expected, wasted. Feeling embarrassed, ashamed she lightly pushed him away and walked off leaving a drunken Casper behind to flirt with some other poor girl who got their hopes up a little too quickly. She hadn't talked to Casper since. He'd go one way and Bea turned a heel to the opposite direction, but the fact that he continued on with his life as if nothing happened is what had hurt her the most. Casper was supposed to be her first kiss, and Bea knows for a fact that he was too wasted to remember ever talking with her, but she remembers clearly, and the worst part is she lived her life knowing that he thought of her nothing more than Rhiannon's baby sister, like everyone else at Buckley. Still, can you blame a girl for having the littlest crush on the school's bad boy? Although, she is aware where her boundaries lie, all of which don't involve Casper.

Hearing Sam's voice is what brought her back to reality, "Why are you like this?" He was talking to Jasmine of course, but there it was again, the pained side glances that he was giving Bea. She raised an eyebrow at him, chuckling a bit, "Hey, don't give me that look as if this was all my fault."

A few minutes pass, and they were outside of Cat's home not long before the little red head bounced in the passenger seat acknowledging everyone's attire until her eyes rested on Sam, she did a double take. "Tonight's going to be so fun! You all look so pretty," she beamed, " Even you, Sam!"

Bea returned the expression, "Thank you Kitty Cat, you look beautiful as well." She looked towards Sam as if to say, 'I told you, so', sticking her tongue out in the process.

The rest of the car ride had been quiet until Bea had overheard a familiar song on the radio, its funky tune was barely audible until Bea reached over for the volume tuner and turned it up to Max. She gasped, her eyes gleaming with excitement "I LOVE THIS SONG!!!" The song was Love Me Right by Exo, and immediately Bea started to match her body to the beat, her head dropping at every bass as she sang the lyrics out loud. She looked to Sam grooving her shoulder against his, "C'mon Kim, let loose."

People outside made no hesitation to rubberneck at the blonde vigorously whipping her hair left to right as they drove past. Bea was sure she was making a fool out of herself, but she didn't care if it meant that she'd crack a smile out of Samuel.

JULIETTE ĪŸ ARNAULT

Outfit: Outfit, sans jean jacket
Location: Aaliyah's Bedroom
Dialogue Color: #7957C2

Generally, Juliette liked Luke's presence. He definitely made a statement with nearly everything he did, and sometimes the attention he liked to draw to himself was a bit off putting for her, but overall, he was a lot of fun. He liked to enjoy himself, he was humorous, and he was the kind of person that you could never have a bad time with - or at least, a boring time with. There were times when his straight-forward, diva-ish blunt personality upset her, because she was sensitive and anyone telling her that something didn't look good on her hurt her feelings no matter how it was phrased, but as much as he was to blame for whatever he said, she was also to blame for being dramatic. Luke was a nice kid, and if nothing else, he was someone that Juliette could count on to have fun with even when she was wasted. However, seeing him enter Aaliyah's room in an outfit that was definitely well put together, cute and edgy, and yet in her mind, was far too similar to hers simply because of the all black plus fishnet look, immediately had her internally questioning why Aaliyah dared to invite him over. She liked Luke, sure, but she didn't want to show up to a party looking like she had purposely tried to match outfits with him. Even if no one assumed that or even noticed the similarities in their outfits, especially since the fishnet look in hers was fairly more subtle than in his, it was going to bother her. After a few drinks, she would get over it, but she didn't want to show up with him, and enter the party at the same time. In her mind, somehow that would make it more noticeable to people.

Why she even cared about this was up for debate to begin with. It wasn't like matching outfits with someone was necessarily embarrassing. She and Camila were both wearing black. Juliette had no problem with that. Maybe it had to do with Luke and his status as a B-lister, or how despite Aaliyah included him, how other people sometimes found him to be too much of a weirdo to do more than laugh about... or maybe it just had to do with how much of a drama queen Juliette could be. Even she wouldn't have been able to give you the answer to that. All she knew was that seeing him dampened her mood, and she found herself sipping on the drink that Camila handed her faster than she normally would have. It had her remaining silent, lips puckered tightly around her straw, especially after Aaliyah came out and informed her that Cydnee would be travelling to the party with them. Now, instead of the car seating arrangements involving her and Malcolm in one row and Aaliyah and Camila in the other, she was going to ensure that no matter what, she was going to be sitting in a different row than both Luke and Cydnee. If Aaliyah wanted to tell her otherwise, Juliette definitely was not above being immature and calling her own Uber instead.

Her sudden silence probably made it obvious that she was bothered by something, but surprisingly, she wasn't going to make a scene about it. She was smart enough to realize that she didn't have enough pull in this situation. Aaliyah hadn't even given her a chance to object before leaving the room, which meant that Juliette had no chance at talking her out of including Cydnee in their transportation plans. She also was still struggling with engaging with Luke now that he had found his way to her shit list, to no fault of his own, so she couldn't even partake in gushing with Camila about what guy he was going to go for tonight. Instead, she opted to suck her drink down at the speed of lightning, while texting Ari back, and messaging Cat back through Snapchat, after watching the video she had sent her a few minutes prior.

To: Ari
Are you kidding Ari? Now I have to deal with Luke, Malcolm AND Cydnee all by myself. You should know by now that I'm the only one who's allowed to run behind schedule!!! When you do clearly catastrophic things happen and now I'm going to have to get wasted if I want even a chance at having a semi decent night

At some point, Luke had lost Camila, Cydnee and Juliette - not that it was too much of a surprise. Royals just didn't show up to parties with Wannabes, which was fine. He wasn't salty, not at all. Plus, Aaliyah hadn't even been with them when they arrived, remarking that her niece had not been really asleep when Aaliyah had set her in her room. And considering the fact that Aaliyah never really ever, as far as Luke was concerned, didn't leave the house without checking in on the toddler, it made sense that she didn't want to leave when the girl obviously knew that she was still in the house. So, she was just going to get Malcolm to bring her after she made sure that the young girl had something on her stomach that wasn't a snack and was comfortable in her room. It didn't even occur to Lucas to even question it at the time because the tequila sunrise, combined with a shot or three - who's really counting - of the vodka Malcolm had brought, made him giddy for the night ahead of them. So, so what if the Royals promptly ditched him considering the fact that their queen wasn't present to force them to humor him? He didn't need them.

He totally did. Screw whatever his bitter tipsy side said.

Nevertheless, when it hit eight o'clock, Luke was having a pretty good time grinding against this scrumptious looking Animal. It wasn't his scrumptious, super mysterious for no damn reason but obviously in the best way Animal, sure, but Roman wasn't even his to begin with, let alone to be thinking about when he had hot, semi-sweaty male behind him. Buckley may not have been the most...open about a lot of things, especially sexuality, but house parties like these were where there really weren't no rules. You could do what you wanted with who you wanted. Granted, depending on who you were, you would probably want to keep a bit quiet if you were caught with a person far below you on the hierarchy, but again it was a party. Shit happened at a party. Not many took the time to judge at a party. And Luke was taking advantage, sucking down the contents of the wine cooler bottle like it was nothing but water. To him, it was considering it was pretty much a flavored beer and not at all as biting as something like vodka or tequila, but definitely enough alcohol to make him feel A-ok with everything. Including texting Rhapsody.

"Ok, but where do you wanna go next?" Genneya asked after stealing a handful from the fry basket on their table. By the time eight o'clock had come, she was starving, but had been in the middle of girls vs. boys skyscraper rope course race that she just had to give her all to because she would be darned if Louis thought for a second that the boys were going to win. Granted, she did love her some Chris, but he ultimately was grouped in with the rest of them and was the enemy at the time. Sadly enough, it was a tie that Genneya swore they were going to broke, but she was a part of their group that had wanted to go back to their tables and get their grub on. Her mom had rented the whole place out for the evening, leaving the lower school division to do as they pleased. So, Gigi hadn't even hesitated or felt the least bit ashamed when she grabbed three slices of the meat lover's pizza, a basket of lightly salted french fries that she totally was going to share with whomever she was sitting with - which happened to be Chris and a few other classmates - and a strawberry crush that had just been refilled.

She dipped a fry into what used to be Chris' large dollop of ketchup, but it was currently more of a puddle of tomato-y goodness that she was going to steal since their table didn't have a ketchup bottle and she didn't feel like calling to someone to bring her one or ask for the direction the one they had been using went. Besides, friends didn't let friends go without ketchup. There was a handbook and everyone needed to read it. After a few chews, she continued, "We could do the laser maze or the arcade...pretty sure I'm gonna kick your butt anyway, but I figured I'd let you decide which one you wanted to lose to me in."Grinning at her own audacity, Genneya playfully captured the straw from her cup between her lips, sucking the sweet carbonated beverage up to chase the salty fried goodness she honestly had an addiction to.

How Cydnee had allowed Charlotte to convince her into playing beer pong was beyond her. She didn't think of herself as being particularly bad at the drinking game, and maybe at the casual hangouts among her Artist friends, she wasn't. However, having Charlotte as a partner, despite Cydnee being convinced that the girl was high enough where she should have been chill and relaxed, automatically meant that she was playing on some ultra-competitive level that she wanted no part in. The fact that they had managed to beat a pair of Wannabe girls and moved on to verse Charlotte's brother and his partner, who happened to be Ari Rollings, a Royal, only made Charlotte's desire to win amplify by one hundred and still, Cydnee wanted no part of it. She just wanted to be sitting down on one of those nice soft couches on Ace's patio, with a glass of something in her hand that wasn't the beer she was currently holding. One game of beer pong would have been fine, but now that they were on game three and finally severely losing, she was definitely over it. Out of the ten cups that had initially been present on each side of the table, only two cups remained in front of her and Charlotte, and seven were still left in front of Adrien and Ari. The three that were gone had all been of Charlotte's doing, and over the past five minutes, the Rebel wouldn't let her forget that. "Can we just forfeit so I can go on with my life?" Cydnee said to Charlotte, her voice displaying how over this game she was, as she barely put any effort into tossing the ball towards the other end of the table. It missed; no surprise.

"Cydddddddd," Charlotte groaned, tossing her head backwards as she watched the girl's shot miss the many cups that were left on the opposing side of the table. "Why didn't you tell me that you sucked this badly before I put my reputation on the line by making you my partner?" she continued, only somewhat playfully. She tossed back the last bit of beer that was in the cup that the opposing team had knocked out during their last shot, before carefully throwing her ball across the table. Thankfully, it went in, but when they still had to knock out six cups, as opposed to the two that Adrien and Ari had left, it wasn't much to celebrate. "I'm not forfeiting against my brother. He usually sucks more than you do. Forfeiting when it's only him we're up against would be beyond embarrassing," she added. In reality, she knew her brother was good at the game (being good at beer pong was one of the few redeeming qualities on any jock's resume, in her opinion), and Arizona was surprisingly decent herself, but Charlotte was competitive, and she wasn't going to admit that. "Besides, we still have a chance at winning." The likelihood of that was low, and Charlotte was smart enough to know that, but she wasn't one to admit defeat.

"Baby girl, you're lucky I like you, that's all I'm gonna say 'til this game is done with," Cydnee responded with amid an eye roll, at Charlotte's refusal to end the game now. It didn't keep her from continuing to look around the backyard for some means of escape, though, even if she didn't know what that could be yet. While she was at it, she managed to send out a few texts too.

To: Juliette
Ofc :) give me a minute

The text from Juliette requesting drinks for her and her friends came just as the last box of pizza was brought outside. Even though Ace didn't paint himself as being some crazy host, he had to make sure that there were plates and napkins, and still enough cups and alcohol to go around outside before he started to put together a plate of food for himself. He had a decent amount of alcohol in him, but he was also good at holding his liquor, so he probably barely even seemed buzz to people who he talked with. It was definitely something that he preferred, though. He thought that it was embarrassing at the least, when guys got wasted and sloppy, cursing and talking trash to anyone who looked in their direction. Ace could get to that point, as anyone probably could, but he had to be blackout drunk to get there, and normally, getting to that place required a hefty amount of tequila. Tonight he was still sticking mostly to beer, though after he had a plate full of wings and a slice of pepperoni pizza ready to eat, he made his way over to the bar. He had every intention of making a rum and coke for himself, and either a few Madras or Cosmo concoctions for the girls, per Juliette's request, when one of his fellow Royals came up to him in a bit of a panic, talking about a fight. "Fuck this," Ace groaned. He was already being a good person by throwing a party that they all knew was illegal. Why did people think it was appropriate to take his kindness for granted even more? Risking people drinking underage on your parents' property was one thing, but having to possibly deal with some lawsuit due to an assault, especially one involving underage drinking, crossed the line for him. "Make sure every single fucking one of them is kicked out. I'll be over there in a minute," he told the guy, who seemed positive in his affirmation in ensuring that it happened. Ace just hoped that it wasn't an A-lister who was involved. That would piss him off even more than it being some random stranger who probably didn't have a reason to truly respect his kindness anyway.

Because his crush on Juliette was still that strong, he really considered making the drinks himself, delivering them to her, and then going to sort out this fight situation. However, one of his good friends, Alan Tristan seemed to be enjoying acting as the bartender, and it seemed quicker to get him to do it. "Dude, make me four Madras, and a rum and coke. Juliette and her friends need them, but I'll be back in a minute to grab them. Some fucking assholes are fighting out there apparently," he said, before departing. Seconds after Ace was gone, Alan turned to another Jock, Max, who was standing behind the bar with him and said, "Well, looks like we've got a perfect use for these babies," he said, discretely pulling a small bag out of his pocket, containing two Roofies, and waving it lowly so that only the other guy could see. "Dude, you're not really gonna do that, are you? I mean, as long as I can claim one of the lucky recipients of one of those as mine for the night, my lips are sealed, but you know you're fucked if he catches you trying to fuck around with his girl, or even Aaliyah. No, actually she'll probably try to kill you if she ends up drinking that." Alan seemed aware of that, though, saying, "Trust me, I'm not looking to fuck the Queen Bee. Juliette doesn't even fucking like Bronson, we all know that. She won't give anyone else a chance to prove that to her, so this little friend of mine's gonna help me ease her into the idea of another guy being able to give her dick and more. I'm gonna stick a lime in one of the drinks, and tell Ace that one's for Aaliyah, and then either Camilla or Ari will end up with the other. You'd be lucky getting to fuck either of them, let's be real." Max seemed satisfied with that, and the two prepared the five drinks that Ace requested, not knowing that Catarina Valentine was the only person who saw them very discretely drop the pills into two of the glasses. Alan secured a lime on the rim of one of the ones that didn't contain the drug, and stuck a blue straw in one of the two that he knew had the drug in it, leaving two others unidentified, with one having a drug and the other without, since they didn't care whether Ari or Camilla got that.

Ace had barely gotten halfway towards the fight when a few of his friends met him. "Don't even worry about it, man. Just a bunch of little fags fighting Collins. It's not a big deal, we've got people tossing 'em out," the reassured him, clearly knowing that Ace wasn't enjoying his party as much as he deserved to be. The logical side of his brain didn't want to just take their word for it, but by now, he was ready to just not give a fuck and enjoy himself, so he turned back around. Though he had just had sex with Juliette, he was stressed enough now where he was ready for round two, and he hoped that bringing her drinks would make a round two possible once the party ended. "Thanks a million," he said, giving a mock salute to Alan as he returned to the bar to see the five drinks he had requested ready and waiting for him.

"The one with the straw's for Juliette, since Max heard her freaking out about her lipstick or some shit earlier, and I don't know if that's how makeup works, but I feel like straws help, and the one with the lime is for Aaliyah. She asked for one in the drink I made her earlier, so I figured it's probably her 'thing'," Alan explained, though he was completely making up that interaction with Aaliyah for the purpose of his plan. Ace didn't noticed, too wrapped up in actually wanting to enjoy himself, so he only thanked Alan once more as he placed the drinks onto a serving tray that his parents had beneath the bar counter and carried them into the kitchen. His smile grew into a natural one, no longer forced, once he spotted Juliette and the girls, especially since they all looked relaxed and happy, eating and talking. "Sorry that took a little bit longer than a minute," he said, grinning as he rounded the counter that the girls were sitting on, to kiss Juliette on the cheek and set the drinks down beside where Aaliyah was sitting. He didn't notice that at some point during the walk in, the lime had fallen from the glass that had specifically been marked to not have a roofie in it, so all he knew to do was to give Juliette the one with the straw, before handing another drugged drink to Aaliyah, and the two normal ones to Camilla and Arizona. "Apparently someone was fighting outside. The guys took care of it, but I've been all over the place," he said, exhaling. He leaned back against the counter in an attempt to relax, before realizing that his plate of food was still outside. "...And of course I forgot my food outside," he said in mild annoyance. "I'm gonna grab that, and then I better get a few minutes to hang out with my girl before she's completely wasted and incoherent," he teased as he headed back towards the door, only referencing Juliette's tendency to get very drunk, and being completely unaware of the fact of how true his reference would be, given that her drink was drugged.

Cat's Outfit
Catarina liked parties because they involved socializing. Most people at parties like these got drunk, and when they got drunk enough, her tendency to over socialize and cross social boundaries became less obvious. She stuck out less, and people were too happy from the alcohol to think that she was acting that way soberly, and not because she was drunk like they were, too. Being the only sober person in a sea of drunk people never bothered her. Alcohol didn't taste good to her, and that was why she never drank it. It didn't really have anything to do with morals or principles, since her parents really weren't involved enough to warn her against drinking or using drugs. Taste was enough to turn her away from the beverages, and even though many parties like this one were focused on the alcohol, Cat still managed to have fun. The DJ and music occupied her time for a while, especially once the dance floor area became crowded and good music was played. After that, Cat had somehow found her way behind the bar. It was a strange place for her, given that she didn't drink, but in her defense, she had initially been drawn to it because of the mixers that had been lined up there, to go with the alcohol.

Somehow, after pouring herself a glass of soda, she ended up sitting behind the bar, fascinated with the different bottles of replacement liquor that were lined up behind it, and taking the time to organize them and ensure that they were all perfectly lined up. To some, it would seem unlike Cat, who had a bad tendency of not being able to focus on anything, but there were times when her ADHD took a strange turn, and she could focus on some things; just things that happened to have no obvious purpose for being focused on. Because she wasn't an A-lister, her odd behavior elicited only some weird looks and sneers by the two jocks who had given themselves the titles of bartenders for the night, but they probably assumed her to be drunk, and left her alone. Had she not heard the name of "friends" come out of their mouth, Cat would have continued to pay no attention to them either, but in the midst of her sorting, she heard the boys begin to talk about Juliette and Ari, who she considered to be friends, and then Camila and Aaliyah too. Aaliyah was probably more of a friend than Camila was, but friend still definitely was not the proper word for that relationship either, since no matter how much Gigi insisted that Aaliyah was nice, Cat would always remain a bit intimidated by her.

Cat was confused by the conversations that the boys were having. They never said "drugs" specifically, and she definitely was not educated on what date rape drugs were, so when she watched from the floor as one of the boys crushed up a bag of two pills and poured them into two drinks, she assumed that that was something that was normal. That it was a special type of drink, or something. She didn't know to be alarmed or that she should warn someone, as Ace returned and took the tray of drinks inside, and for a few minutes, she returned to playing with the bottles below the bar, until they were all perfectly aligned. By the time that she finished and stood up, shimmying her way out from behind the bar, she was laughing aloud at a story she had madeup in her head about the cute little bumblebee on a bottle of Patron that she had been tinkering with a few minutes before, and that was when she spotted Cydnee and Rhapsody, as well as Jasmine and Nick. She was conflicted for only a second on who to go towards, but quickly chose Cydnee and Rhapsody, only because she wanted to prove to Cydnee that her makeup still looked perfect. "Hi friends!" she beamed, making a grand entrance into their duo by adding in a few twirls as she approached. "I love parties! Do you think there are going to be cupcakes? With pink icing and sprinkles! I love cupcakes!" she said, laughing at the thought.

"This isn't a cupcake kind of party, Cat," Cydnee responded with a roll of her eyes. Thinking about it now, the party that Gigi was hosting probably would have been a better fit for Cat. She would have blended in better there, and honestly probably would have had more fun too. Then again, with such an easy-to-please attitude, Cat was probably having fun here anyway. Cydnee would never understand how someone could go to a party like this, especially when it was being hosted outside of their clique, and not consume alcohol, but she supposed that maybe Cat just didn't understand how much easier it was to have fun with alcohol in her system. She claimed that she didn't like the taste, but Cydnee was convinced that she just hadn't tried the right drink for her. If all Cydnee was ever offered was whiskey or gin, she could claim she didn't like the taste of alcohol either. Cat needed something sugary and sweet, and Cydnee was willing to take on the challenge of finding her that perfect drink.

She had already explained herself to Rhapsody, so she didn't feel bad leaving now with no further explanation, other than offering a wink and a mischevous smile as she grasped Cat's wrist and tugged her towards the bar, unaware that she had just come from there. She passed by Nick and Jasmine, offering a tight-lipped smile in the process, and by two Jocks who were leaving from behind the bar. "I promised I'd make you a good drink, remember?" she said, as she thoughtfully examined the choices at hand. While she wanted to make Cat something like a Mojito or a Cosmo that was still sweet, but classic and alcoholic, she figured that something on these sugary side would be better for now. Like most kids did, easing their way into alcohol usually started with malt beverages like Mike's Hard, or cheap beers. She grabbed an individual bottle of Smirnoff Ice raspberry, which had nearly the same alcohol content of a beer, and poured it into a red cup, before adding a small amount of raspberry flavored Absolut vodka, and a tiny bit of Sprite once she realized that the alcohol taste really needed to be hidden in order for Cat to drink it. "Just finish one cup for me. It's basically soda, and I guarantee you'll like it," she insisted as she offered the redhead the cup.

Catarina allowed Cydnee to lead her towards the bar, opting to be excited over the new form of socialization rather than disappointed at the girl's comment about this not being a cupcake kind of party. To Cat, there was no reason why every party shouldn't have been a cupcake kind of party. Her mouth could water at the mere thought of a perfectly moist red velvet cupcake. With what appeared to be so much food here, as Cat and Cydnee passed by the area containing tables worth of delivery food and kids huddled around it like vultures over fresh kill, she was still halfway convinced that there had to be some desserts hiding among the dinner food, though she was going to let it go for now. Cydnee was reminding her of that promise to make her a good-tasting alcoholic drink, and though Cat was still wary about the idea in its entirety, she didn't protest. She was only wary, really, because she doubted that Cydnee (or anyone, for that matter) could make a drink that truly tasted good to someone like her, who had no taste for alcohol already. To someone who drank regularly or even socially, a Mike's Hard type of malt beverage probably tasted just like soda, but Cat's taste pallet was still sensitive enough to taste the slight bitterness of the alcohol. However, she was going to give Cydnee's drink a chance, mostly because the raspberry flavored things that she kept adding into the mixture looked pretty good.

She didn't even raise the glass to her mouth, though she accepted it in her hands, before calling Cydnee out on what she was sure was a very obvious faux pas on her part. "But aren't you going to add in the powder?! I want it the way that everyone else gets it!" she insisted, making a reference to what she had watched earlier, when two jocks crushed up date rape drugs before pouring them into two drinks that ended up going to Juliette and Aaliyah. Cat was inexperienced with alcohol, and ditzy in her own right, so she was innocently ignorant enough to believe that that was just a normal part of making alcoholic drinks. She didn't realize that the powdery substance was drugs, but just believed that it had to be a normal step in making any alcoholic drink.

There were a lot of crazy things that came out of Cat's mouth, so Cydnee's first instinct was to not think anything of the girl's petulant demand that she wanted her drink the way that everyone else got it; with powder added. Her first thought wasn't to assume that Cat was referring to drugs, but she still knew better than to just roll her eyes and demand that the girl drink what was given to her. She eyed her with a mixture of curiosity and skepticism, saying, "What do you mean, 'add powder to it'?"

"You don't know how to make drinks as well as you acted," was how Cat opted to respond, as if Cydnee having to ask what she meant spoke volumes on the girl's lack of mixology experience. She wasn't angry or upset, but rather a bit smitten that she seemed to know more than her friend.

"You just don't know the difference between Kool Aid and an alcoholic drink," Cydnee scoffed in return. It literally would not have surprised Cydnee in the slightest if someone had randomly decided to use Kool Aid or a similar form of powdered drink as a mixer for their drink, and Cat assumed that it was some magic potion that every drink needed to be deemed alcoholic.

"Juliette and either Ari or Camila got powder in their drinks and they weren't drinking Kool Aid," Cat answered defensively. She definitely knew the difference between Kool Aid and alcoholic drinks. If the drinks she had seen being made with a powdery substance were Kool Aid, Cat most definitely would have recognized the powder as having bright colors, not to mention the fact that she would have gotten a chuckle out of mimicking the way that the Kool Aid man on the package spoke in commercials when he broke down the walls of houses. "Aaliyah didn't get it, though. Hers got a lime instead but I don't like limes."

The mention of the Royals was the only reason why Cydnee started to take Cat seriously. Her cousin's name being brought up automatically made Cydnee feel more defensive than normal. Obviously, Aaliyah was very popular and could hold her own. That didn't mean that everyone liked her though, and especially being in a different clique, nonetheless social level than Aaliyah, meant that Cydnee often encountered people who had bad things to say about Aaliyah. Normally, they didn't realize that Cydnee was close to her until Cydnee corrected them (and she always did), but even knowing that Aaliyah wouldn't give a damn about what lower level listers had to say about her, Cydnee still felt a need to defend her. More-so, though, Cydnee knew that girls like Juliette, Ari and Camila weren't the type who would want a Kool Aid mixed drink. They were too classy and uptight for anything that didn't look like it came straight out of the bar of an upscale New York hotel rooftop bar. On top of that, for some reason, it was when she thought of pretty girls like those Royals that it clicked in her mind that some ugly, asshole of a guy might want to take advantage of their looks and popularity with a date rape drug. "Someone put powder in their drinks?" she asked, more serious now as she spoke quieter and grasped Cat's arm to make sure that there was very little space between them.

"Yes! Well, they crushed up something and made it powder and then put it in," Cat explained, frowning slightly at the tight grip of Cydnee's hand on her arm, but not pulling away.

"And who might that someone be?" This would be the telltale fact that would tell Cydnee whether she had to worry or not.

"Alan and... I forget the other boy," Cat answered after a moment of thought. She tried to mimic Cydnee's seriousness but soon found herself getting wrapped up in her own thoughts that were more enjoyable. "I was fixing all of the bottles back there. Did you know there's a bumble bee on one of the kinds of bottles? Like... what flavor could a bumble bee taste like?!"

She didn't have time to humor Cat's airhead remarks right now and the way that she squeezed Cat's arm, somewhat out of frustration, but also as a signal for her to focus, reflected that. "Why was he making drinks for them?"

"To be nice, I guess?"

"Did they ask him to make drinks for them?" Cydnee said, knowing she had to be more specific if she wanted to get the answer she was looking for.

"No, Ace did."

"And did Ace watch them make these drinks in the way that you're describing?" Cydnee didn't know Ace, but she knew that Aaliyah and him went way back, and that in itself was the only reason why she followed up with this question. It would have been easy to assume that Ace was behind this, because he fit the mold of a spoiled pretty boy who looked like he thought he deserved every girl on the planet to bow down to him. Cydnee could have assumed that he had drugged the girls, but she decided to delve deeper.

"No."

"Okay. Go find Charlotte, I'll meet up with you in a minute," she said. That was all she needed to know, but as she spun away, she quickly turned back and grabbed Cat once more, pulling her in closely once she was facing her. "And don't you mention this to a single person, okay? The powder, the boys making drinks for those girls? They did something bad and I don't need you telling anyone about it, you hear me?"

Cat nodded, only because she still didn't think anything of the powder incident, even though Cydnee called what had happened "bad". She assumed that they had made the drinks poorly, as if it was Cydnee's way of saying that her skills were superior to theirs and that Cat was better off without the powdered version of the drink, and knowing that was enough to get her to sip the drink as she wandered away from Cydnee. It was definitely sweet, but she still grimaced at the taste of the alcohol that the small sip left in her mouth.

With Cat gone, Cydnee didn't know what she was going to do next. She had to do something, but she didn't know what. She did text Aaliyah as she moved towards Ace's home, saying "wya", but she didn't seek out her cousin first. According to Cat's recollection, Aaliyah hadn't been given a drugged drink. Cydnee had no reason to worry about her, and was only texting her so that she could inform her of what had happened to her friends, if she didn't already know. She didn't see Malcolm and Charlotte tending to the referenced girl on her way inside, but she did see Camila and Arizona in passing as she entered the house and they exited. Neither of them looked drugged, though Cydnee didn't observe them for long enough to truly tell if they were intoxicated. She had witnessed a girl who had been roofied last summer when she was back in Denver, and it definitely didn't look anything like the state the Ari and Camila were in. The fact that they weren't with Juliette made Cydnee feel like she needed to be more concerned for that one... even if she definitely had a love-hate relationship with Juliette (with the love part only secretly existing on Cydnee's end of things).

Through a few small conversations, Cydnee found out that someone had seen Juliette go upstairs a while ago with Ari. Obviously Ari had come down since, so Cydnee assumed Juliette had too, and had just separated from Ari since then, but she decided to investigate anyway. Part of her felt weird for suddenly wanting to play Sherlock Holmes and caring about a girl who was only ever rude to her, but yes, there was definitely a part of Cydnee that wanted to come out of this looking like the hero. That was why she didn't follow up with Aaliyah more urgently, and instead, found herself pushing open a bathroom door after she heard movement inside. The scene that she found inside involved Finn Maxwell standing up, putting on a condom, with Juliette nearly-naked laying on the floor in a state that Cydnee could tell at a mere first glance was not a normal or consenting one. Bea Prinsloo stumbled into the party. She was looking bomb asf. She had red lipstick and a skirt that was so flowy and long. She scanned her eyes through the throng of drunk kids until her eyes met with Samuel Kim. She confidently strode in his direction, sashaying her hips from left to right.
