Personality:
Out of the Arnault twins, Charlotte is definitely the one who is more down to earth and humble. She appreciates the finer things in life and isn't ditching her designer jackets for thrift shop ones, but she also isn't the kind of person who's going to rack up thousands of dollars worth of bills over clothes that she knows she's never actually going to wear. Compared to her sister, she's also far more independent. Another one of her positive character traits comes in the form of being intelligent. She's extremely bright and always has been, and probably would have been regardless of the tutors and expensive schools her parents were able to afford her. Academics have always interested her and she thinks that her introverted personality plays into this. She's the kind of girl who a lot of the time, would truly rather be sitting at home in her pajamas with a cup of tea, studying for her history midterm, over going to some crazy party. Surprisingly, while it's a common side to her, it's not a side that a lot of people would attribute with her character. She doesn't have the reputation for being some sweet little bookworm who stays in every Friday night to catch up on the latest documentary on the History Channel.

More so, Charlotte is known for the personality that she possesses when her friends convince her to get out of the house, because this is the personality that she tends to possess around people in general - regardless of whether it's in the classroom or at a party. The laid back, quiet and thoughtful side of her is reserved for when she's alone, or with very close friends. Otherwise, people see the side of Charlotte that's rough around the edges. She's abrasive and callous, often finding amusement out of calling people out on their bullshit or purposely bringing things up to make them uncomfortable or the situation awkward. She does it because she thinks it's funny, and it's relevant to the sense of humor that she possesses that is somewhat dark, manipulative, and definitely sarcastic. She prides herself in being quick with comebacks, so witty is definitely a word that she would appreciate being used to describe her. As noted, Charlotte has an introverted side to her that surprises a lot of people, but because of this, she tends to be more irritable than normal people would be, when forced into social situations for too long. Her kinda-can-be-considered-playful attitude because actually mean, and she isn't exactly fun to be around. Her social skills could definitely use some improvement, and she's well aware of that. With that in mind, she doesn't mind people being blunt and upfront with her, and pointing out her flaws, because that's how she is with other people. She's sometimes too blunt, but in her defense, she'll only dish what she can take.

One thing that's noteworthy about Charlotte, is that she seems to "go big or go home" in most things that she does. If she's studying for an exam, she's studying to get an 100% on it, and not a point less. If she's at home in bed, she's going to binge watch as much of the series she's watching as she can until she passes out. If she's out with her friends, she's drinking and smoking and getting herself into as much trouble is possible up until a point of getting arrested or passing out. So, while her sense of humor and tendencies to be blunt can be off putting to a lot of people, she's also an enjoyable friend to have around. What might be the most important trait about her, is that to her friends, she's extremely loyal and trustworthy.

Likes:
Nature, being active, competition, marijuana and alcohol, reading, astronomy, people who are witty, adrenaline rushes, green tea, trying new food, travelling, dogs, having her own space

Dislikes:
Constantly having to be social, family parties/events, airheads, fast food, people who can't take a joke, people who think money makes them important, waking up early, black coffee

History:
The head of the Arnault clan is Bernard Arnault, age 67, who is a French business magnate, investor and art collector. He has been the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LVMH since 1989. From 1973 to 1990, Bernard was in a marriage that produced four children. Following his divorce from this wife, he spent some years dating and returning his focus to his business. In 1997, he met Jacqueline McEnroe, a young artist who was living in New York City at the time. The two began dating, and wed a year later, and a few years after that, they conceived twin girls. Charlotte was the first born, being two minutes older than her fraternal twin sister, Juliette. A year later, the couple had another child, Adrien.

There was nothing really abnormal about Charlotte, growing up. She was a happy kid, one who enjoyed participating in a multitude of sports and activities, such as soccer, basketball, lacrosse, swimming, art classes and violin lessons. She made friends fairly easily, and did exceptionally well in school. Her relationship with her parents was good, and she got along with her sibling well enough. She was more of a tomboy growing up than a girly girl, which was definitely different than her twin sister, who was quite girly and basically a walking replica and best friend of their mother. As Charlotte got older, though, that tomboy side of her began to set her apart from her friends in the Upper East Side, who became fixated on designer clothes and makeup and looking pretty for the approval of their male classmates. She didn't want to go to debutante balls or spend hours in a salon getting her hair done. She wanted to be hopping on the subway and getting off at a random stop, so that she could have an adventure, trying to find her way back home on her own. She wanted to be in Central Park playing baseball with her brother, or in the library looking for a book that she had been recommended by a teacher. All of that pretty and prissy stuff didn't interest her, and maybe she had pushed her friends away too, but she felt like they were the ones pushing her away. It led to a rebellious phase that she still hasn't quite fallen out of yet, but it came back to bite her at the end of sixth grade, when she was caught trying marijuana for the first time in the girl's bathroom at school, with a friend. Both girls were asked to leave the school for good, following the end of the year, which was the nice way of being expelled when you came from money and could afford to buy your way out of any blemishes on your record. Her parents were furious with her, and felt like getting her out of the state and giving her a fresh start would be the best possible option. One of Bernard's friends raved about the education that his daughter got at Crossroads, so it was ultimately where they decided to send his daughters for the remainder of their schooling career. Although Bernard and Jacqueline technically live full time in New York still, they did purchase ahome in Bel Air and at least one of their parents is there most days during the school year.

School Activities:
Charlotte participates in the National Honor Society.

Danielle didn't particularly want to go to this party. Firstly, it meant leaving her beloved robotics project, and she felt like she was inches away from fixing a problem that had been plaguing her for weeks now. Secondly, it was an annoying reminder that term was over. Sure, it meant a few weeks of uninterrupted peace and quiet to work on whatever the hell she wanted. But the problem was that she was also going to have to go back to visit her mother. It would be a week of having her hair criticised, her past-times criticised, questioned about why she didn't have a boyfriend yet, about why she wanted to spend all that money on going to college. And that was all assuming her mother was in a good mood and didn't go off on any racist or homophobic rants.

Just thinking about going home made Danielle's chest feel like something was curled around her lungs. She shook the thoughts from her head and took a deep breath, letting it out slowly like her therapist had showed her. She'd be fine. Her heels tapped out a constant rhythm on the pavement beneath her. Getting changed at home had allowed her a little more time at her desk. She would have stayed there and gone to Ace's directly, except she was pretty sure she was going to need more than a little alcohol in her system to deal with this party. Her therapist had told her that she didn't think meds were the right choice for her just yet, and Danielle agreed. Mostly because it allowed her to drink.

Danielle's relationship with alcohol was, like so many of her other relationships, complicated. Like tonight. She felt like she needed to get drunk to forget what was looming ahead of her. Everybody else was celebrating the fact that the exams were behind them, but the exams had been a piece of cake. Even her arts exams had been bearable thanks to her artsy friends. Danielle had discovered that she actually wasn't half-bad at dance and acting, but it was nothing in comparison to others at Buckley. And as long as she was in competition with them, she wasn't going to settle for half-bad. Danielle was up for celebrating the end of the exams, but also forgetting that she had to go home. It was the best of both worlds.

But at times, drinking made Danielle feel like she was turning into her mother. And that terrified her. Apparently Danielle was a sociable drunk, but if she had a tendency to resort to using her fists while sober, how long would it be until something set her off while drunk? And how badly would she be set off? The tightness started to return to her chest. She took another deep breath and took out her headphones, looking around. She had reached Charlotte's place without even realising. Digging her phone out of her bag, she texted Charlotte.

To: Charlotte
I'm outside, come let me in!

CHARLOTTE β–Ώ ARNAULT

Location: The Arnault Residence
Dialogue Color: #3BAD45

Charlotte liked partying, but she didn't necessarily like parties. Not all of them, at least. She enjoyed intimate parties the most; ones where it was just her and her closest friends, hanging out, drinking and smoking. Those nights usually ended in too many bowls of weed being smoked, and a hefty bill from the closest place that would deliver pizza at three in the morning, but she loved it. It was relaxed and fun and worry-free. On the other end of the spectrum, she also enjoyed bigger parties, but she preferred them in settings where she really didn't know or care about who was hosting the party. Sometimes Rhia and Casper would bring her along to some college party they heard about, and Charlotte found it far easier to be carefree there and wreck havoc on the place and the night as a whole, because she didn't have to care about whose expense it was being done at. Her personality was conflicting at times, because it possessed two different sets of traits depending on where she was and who she was with. In certain settings, it was very easy for her to let loose and give no fucks about who she hurt in the process, but at other times, her mind was nearly obsessive with being critical of every move she made, to a point where she preferred to curl up in bed with a book or a new show to binge-watch on Netflix, over anything else. Tonight was going to be a weird mix of the two, she could already tell. She wanted to get to that reckless state, but she knew that being at a party with both of her siblings meant that it would take a lot of alcohol to get her to that point of not giving a shit. She wasn't opposed to indulging tonight. It wasn't like she really had any ties to Ace Bronson to feel bad about taking advantage of his free alcohol and parent-free home in the process.

Since her parents weren't home and Juliette wasn't either, Charlotte had little reason to be discrete about smoking in the house. She made sure that her bedroom window was open, and that she was blowing the smoke out the window, but other than that, she had a very relaxing afternoon with her glass bowl, her bed, and Freaks and Geeks, before growing hungry, and deciding to order delivery from Conchitas, a Salvadorean restaurant in the area. She was stoned enough that she was surprised when Danielle texted her saying that she was there, having entirely forgotten that she had invited some of the Rebels over to pregame before Ace's party. It was a pleasant surprise though, so she made her way downstairs, barely noticing the sound of Adrien and another guy's voice in the kitchen as she reached the foyer and then the front door.

"Damn, Dani," she greeted her with a smirk. "Someone's looking all nice and pretty in that dress and heels. Are you betraying us, and trying to cross over to the dark side by trying to impress pretty boy Bronson, or are you just trying to look good for me?" she teased, her eyes purposely, obnoxiously and playfully roving over the girl in front of her. She was forced to avert her gaze when the delivery driver pulled up, and signaling to Danielle that she would be right back, she opted to leave the entryway of the house, disregarding that she was only wearing socks, in order to meet him halfway and take the food that she had already paid for and tipped him for online. "Sooooooo, I might have been a bad hostess by smoking all of my weed before you got here, but I have alcohol and food," she said, raising the bag at the last part, as she led Dani into the kitchen. "So hopefully that makes up for it."

Danielle grinned as Charlotte opened the door, closing the distance between her and the entrance to the house. Charlotte's comment made her laugh, shrugging a little. But, before she could reply, Charlotte turned to retrieve food from a delivery driver. It gave Danielle time to form a witty retort that wasn't going to give herself away. She wanted to be able to tell her friends, but she wasn't taking any chances. She didn't want her father and Rachel hearing from anyone else, and she didn't want her mother hearing at all. She doubted it would get back to her mother, but she wasn't taking any chances when it came to that woman.

"I'll forgive you this time," she teased in response to Charlotte's comment about her smoking all of her weed. The alcohol was all she really cared about; even though she knew it was probably bull, the whole "killing brain cells" thing had turned her off of weed. She cared about her brain cells too much to risk it.

"And no, I'm not trying to impress Bronson. I honestly couldn't give two shits what he thinks of me," Danielle said, shrugging a little. Her mouth quirked up in a grin. "And besides, why would I be dressing up just for you? You're already giving me food and alcohol, I clearly don't need to impress you any more," she added.

She sometimes wondered if her friends knew, or even just had a suspicion. She never made passes or never consciously stared at other girls. She'd never be the first to comment on how pretty a girl was, and she artfully avoided most discussions that could possible relate to sexuality in any way. If only avoidance counted as an art for her academic requirements.

As they reached the kitchen, she noticed Adrien and Finn already in the kitchen. "Oh, hey guys. I'm guessing you guys are heading out tonight, right?" She asked. She wasn't particularly close to either of them, but she wasn't going to be a total bitch either. They were civil to her, so she was going to be civil to them. She didn't know Finn at all, but she did know Adrien through Charlotte, and he wasn't that bad. Not as bad as his reputation said, anyway.

Charlotte pulled her boot up her thigh as she hopped on the other foot. She pushed her hair back from her face and took a breath. She grabbed her hairspray and sprayed her hair in place. It was not falling in her face tonight. Ideally, she needed to get her bangs cut, but the party was in the few hours. Looking down at her dress and boot, she realised there was no way she would be able to drive to Charlotte Arnault’s house on her bike, not unless she wanted the entirety of Sherman Oaks to see up her skirt. She was reasonably liberal when it came to sex, and pretty comfortable with her body, but no one wanted an exposure case on their front door. ”Dad!”

”Lottie.” Hugo Bryant’s smooth voice glided down the hallway.

”Can I borrow the car for tonight?”

Charlotte pulled her other boot on while she waited for her dad’s answer. As she came down the hall, she could hear the tinkling of car keys. Hugo threw them to her as she came to the bottom step. Charlotte turned the fob over in her hands. ”You can have the Bentley for the night.”

Charlotte’s face lit up and she hugged her dad tight. β€œThank you!”

”Just be careful with it.”

Charlotte nodded, her face suddenly serious. ”I’ll treat her like my baby.”

She slid into the seat of the Bentley. It was a convertible Continental model. Otherwise known as an absolute dream. Her phone buzzed against her leg and she pulled it out of the pocket she had made. She opened the message and scanned over it and the accompanying picture. She tapped on Sam’s name in her contact list.

To: Sammy
Look at my boy! Look at you go! So gorgeous! I’ll be beating the girls away. Unless you don’t want me to. I’m cool like that. Love ya xx

To: Twinsie

Christopher could feel the blood rushing to his head as he stared at the upside down screen. His head was inches from the floor and his feet hung over the back of the sofa. He felt two hands grab his feet. ”Hey Chrissy.

”Tyler.”

Tyler jumped over the back of the sofa and sat next to Chris. ”Why you upside down?”

Chris shrugged. His position made the gesture look awkward. He was usually graceful when he moved. He looked over at Tyler, his nose coming level with Tyler’s shin. Tyler was everything Chris had hoped to be when he grew up. He had an easy charm about him, while Chris was still awkward, discovering who he was beyond Chris Morgan. Tyler had twisted around to sit upside down next to Tyler. ”How’s school?”

”Good.”

”Seeing anyone?

Chris blinked. ”N-no.” Chris scowled as his voice cracked. He cleared his throat. ”No. I’m not seeing anyone. Too busy.”

Tyler caught the catch in his stepbrother’s voice. A grin spread across his face. ”What’s her name?”

Chris got his phone out, ignoring Tyler’s question. His thumbs scattered across the keyboard.

To: Gigi
I need saving from Tyler. Am I coming to you or you coming to me?

”No name. Because I’m not seeing anyone.”

”Chris has got a cru-ush.”

”I will kill you Ty.”

Jasper’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw a text from Finn. He had been granted the apparently rare ability as a man to be able to multitask. He walked, keeping half an eye on the street in front of him, and the rest on his screen. As luck would have it, Jasper was rounding the corner leading to Adrien’s house, via the guidance of Google Maps.

To: Finn
You never heard of good things coming to those who wait? I’ll be there in two

He made to put his phone away when it buzzed again. He frowned. There was no way Finn had got back that quickly. Instead, the message was from Jazz. When he opened the attached picture, Jasper felt his chest tighten. Sam looked good…really good. Jasper ran his tongue along his bottom lip. This was ridiculous. He hadn’t had a crush for years, and now he got one on one of his best friends? Nope.

To: Sam
You look great buddy. And if you don’t come tonight, I will personally kick your ass.

He wouldn’t. He would never be able to do anything that would hurt Sam. Sam might break his heart, but Jasper wouldn’t hurt him. Jasper skipped up the final step and knocked on the front door. As he waited for an answer, a car pulled up at the bottom of a driveway. A dark haired girl that Jasper vaguely recognised from school climbed out. While he definitely appreciated the shortness of her dress and the flash of thigh above her boots, she wasn’t provoking his usual reaction. And she didn’t seem to care either.

”Might as well wait with you.” She looked over to him. ”Charlie Bryant, hi.” No hand was offered for him to shake.

”Jasper. Jasper Cameron.”

”Nice to meet ya Jasper Jasper Cameron.” He knew she was teasing him. Her eyes gave her away. Charlie looked away from him and down to her phone.

To: Twinsie
I’m outside my darling. Come rescue me from the jock.

CHARLOTTE β–Ώ ARNAULT

Location: The Arnault Residence

"I guess that's true," Charlotte leveled with a small smile as Danielle reasoned that she had no reason to dress up for her. She was only teasing with the inquiry about the motivation behind it, but all jokes aside, Danielle did look nice tonight. Then again, everyone and everything looked a bit nicer when Charlotte was high. It was easier to be less scrutinizing of the little details, and just feel relaxed and content with everything. That was probably why she didn't groan when she and Danielle entered the kitchen, and her suspicion from earlier was confirmed; that her brother was in the kitchen with a friend. There were lots of other places in the house to eat, especially since even in the evening in December, they were in California, so it wasn't too brisk outside to not be able to spend a little while eating by the pool, but Charlotte was too lazy for that. She set her bags of food down in front of one of the empty seats at the island and signaled for Danielle to sit beside her.

"Of course they're going to Ace's. They're two of his little bitches," Charlotte chimed in, a devious smirk creeping onto her face as she began to pull out smaller, individual containers from the large plastic bag the delivery food came in. She looked towards the boys then, knowing that if she was making eye contact with Danielle while speaking, she would probably actually laugh. "My girl dressed to impress specifically for your boy Ace. Think you can get her some one-on-one time with him?" she pressed, doing her best to sound serious despite the smirk. She knew Dani would probably want to roll her eyes or hit her for it, but that was the fun in it all. She might have tried teasing harder, had she not first been distracted by how good her food smelled, and then secondly, by the texts from Charlie that she was just seeing. It looked like the most recent one had only been sent a minute ago, so she was glad that she hadn't kept her outside waiting too long, especially if what she said was true, and one of Adrien's friends was out there too. "Charlie's here. Let me go get her. There should be beer in the fridge, and probably some of those sugary-as-fuck Mike's Hards that Juliette drinks, and all of the liquor is in the cabinet. Help yourself," she said to Dani, though she hoped her friend knew to help herself regardless.

With that said, she headed back to the door, and opened it to find Charlotte #2, Jasper, and in the distance, a blonde guy that Charlotte recognized as another one of Adrien's friends, Nick. "Adrien is in the kitchen," she said to the guys, not feeling inclined to say much more, since they were Adrien's friends and not hers, after all. Charlie, however, received a bit of a warmer response, as her presence elicited a smile out of Charlotte. "Glad you made it," she said, as she decided to continue her teasing of Dani, even if the girl wasn't present to hear it. "Robo-girl is in the kitchen already. Apparently she wants to fuck pretty boy Bronson, and I think you're the only one who'll be able to talk her out of it."

"Really, Char? I'm kind of having a bro sorta pregame in here," Adrien complained, though it was done only half-heartedly as Charlotte came in with her friend Danielle. Adrien knew her on a surface level, mostly through her relationship with his sister, and she was a nice enough girl that he made sure that it was clear in his smirk that he wasn't truly being unwelcoming. Bickering was just the typical sibling thing to do. Adrien wasn't going to waste a chance at complaining about something his sister did. It only took being in the same room as Charlotte for a minute to notice (if not smell) that she was high, but he didn't comment on it. Even their parents knew that Charlotte smoked, though Adrien knew that that didn't mean that they were comfortable or approving of it. Sometimes he wondered if Charlotte actually enjoyed smoking, or if she purposely did it to piss their parents off, because something like that wasn't above the rebellious Arnault. "Not gonna act like I know you or anything, but Bronson doesn't seem like your type, so I'm gonna assume she was lying about that?" Adrien asked, amid opening up one of Charlotte's food containers labeled "pupusas" and pulling one out. His sister had clearly ordered more than she needed, so he didn't feel bad about helping himself.

He looked to Finn then, smirking as he admitted, "I don't know how either of my sisters have friends." At the same time, the friends that both Juliette and Charlotte had separately made sense. Juliette's friends were very into their social image, and living in luxury, and just being popular and cool and living that lifestyle in general. Charlotte's, on the other hand, didn't really value any of those things. They had quirks of their own, which was why Adrien didn't know someone like Danielle outside of his sister, and which was also probably why they could put up with Charlotte's sarcastically witty and sometimes coldly blunt personality. He liked to think that his sisters' friends groups fell on separate ends of the social spectrum behavior wise, and though it probably wasn't true, that his fell right in the middle, in the "perfectly balanced" territory. He slid a container of food towards Finn, but the blonde slid it back, saying, "No thanks, man. My mom made spaghetti and forced it down my throat before I could get out the door. Besides, doesn't Ace usually order a ton of food anyway?" He felt compelled to say more to Danielle, who now sat with them alone since Charlotte had left to answer the door, but he didn't know her well enough to know what to say. Adrien didn't seem bothered by it, though, nodding in response to Finn as he said, "Yeah, he does. You can never have too much food though. Then again, as the dude who always drinks himself into getting sick, maybe not having a stomach full of shit to throw up will be good for you. Pretty sure that's a turn off, am I right?" he said, glancing over at Danielle as he was sure Finn's face turned a bright shade of red. He managed to toss back a "Fuck you, dude," but yeah, he was definitely embarrassed.

Soon enough, the sound of people entering the house redirected Adrien's attention from the duo sitting beside him. "Cameron, Van Veenan: get your bitch asses in here!" he called out at the sound of their voices.

Nick started jogging once his text to Finn was sent. A lot of his jock friends with juniors or sophomores - younger than him - but he didn't mind. Although Nick would admit that gradually, during his time at Buckley, the cliques have started to influence his decisions (just slightly though), Nick rarely let cliques or age gaps prevent him from making friends. It was something someone either loved or hated about him. But even though Nick thought the high school cliques were childish, he could feel them slowly growing on him, despite his ideals.

Despite all his good friendships, Nick had always felt like they weren't...deep enough for a true best friend. Sure, he wasn't going to lie, he would have any of his friends' backs and vice versa, but Nick never had a friend he trusted enough to tell about his entire past. And Nick's past was as dramatic as hell. Well, his dad was, at the least.

Finally, the sight of the Arnault residence pulled Nick out of his thoughts. Despite being quite wealthy now, the homes of rich people - including himself - never failed to amaze Nick. He was never going to get used to them.

Nick rang the doorbell, and before he knew it, a certain Arnault answered the door. "'Sup, Charlotte," he greeted, flashing her a smile before heading towards the kitchen.

Adrien had apparently heard him come in - after all, you didn't need superhuman hearing to notice - and yelled out, "Cameron, Van Veenen: get your bitch asses in here!"

Nick never really liked his surname. Out of all things, Van Veenen? There were many similar, yet much better options. For instance, how about Von Brandt? Van Buren? The sound of his surname was far from Nick's biggest problem with it, though. It was his father's surname. Nick had no idea why his mother kept it after Matthew Van Veenen was sent to prison. Nick's mother never informed him of her maiden name, but he was sure it was better than Van Veenen.

Nick walked into the room where Finn and Adrien were and clapped them on the backs. "Hey hey, guys," he greeted. "Don't know if you noticed, but Cameron's not here yet." Nick noticed Danielle, and nodded towards her in acknowledgement. "Hey." Nick wasn't going to lie, he wasn't best friends with the robotics girl. But he tried to be nice.

As Charlotte started pulling food out of the bag, Danielle stared curiously into the boxes. She didn't immediately recognise the food, but it smelled fantastic, and she soon claimed one of them as her own, poking a fork cautiously into it. She just rolled her eyes at the comment about getting some one-on-one time with Ace, not even dignifying it with more of a reaction than that. When Charlotte informed her where the alcohol was, she nodded and stood up immediately to grab herself a beer.

She raised an eyebrow as Adrien asked if Charlotte was being serious. "What gave it away?" She asked lightly, taking a sip out of her beer, before smirking at Adrien's comment about his sisters having friends. Honestly, she was sure that people wondered the exact same thing about her. And actually, about most of the rebels. But that was why they were all friends.

She looked up as Adrien glanced over at her. "No, throwing up all over somebody else's house really is the sexiest thing a guy can do," she replied, letting her voice drip with sarcasm. "Or, at least, that's what some guys genuinely seem to think. I don't want anyone within a six foot radius of me if they've thrown up in the past hour. I like these shoes too much to risk ruining them," she added, grinning.

Somebody else came in, and Danielle looked up, nodding to Nick. She didn't exactly know him, but she was at least going to be civil to him. She shoved another forkful of food into her mouth, then grabbed her beer and stood up. "I better go out and make sure your sister isn't spreading too many lies," she remarked, heading out towards the two Charlottes.

In reality, Danielle just wanted to face the inevitable. Charlie was a source of conflict for Danielle, and just sitting in the kitchen, trying not to think about her, wasn't helping. She wasn't coming up with any ways to avoid it, so it was better to just face it. It was hard enough crushing on one of your best friends, but when Danielle was still in the closet, it just made it harder. She brushed herself down, tugged on the end of her skirt, and headed out to the front door.

"Hey, Charlie," she called.

At some point, Luke had lost Camila, Cydnee and Juliette - not that it was too much of a surprise. Royals just didn't show up to parties with Wannabes, which was fine. He wasn't salty, not at all. Plus, Aaliyah hadn't even been with them when they arrived, remarking that her niece had not been really asleep when Aaliyah had set her in her room. And considering the fact that Aaliyah never really ever, as far as Luke was concerned, didn't leave the house without checking in on the toddler, it made sense that she didn't want to leave when the girl obviously knew that she was still in the house. So, she was just going to get Malcolm to bring her after she made sure that the young girl had something on her stomach that wasn't a snack and was comfortable in her room. It didn't even occur to Lucas to even question it at the time because the tequila sunrise, combined with a shot or three - who's really counting - of the vodka Malcolm had brought, made him giddy for the night ahead of them. So, so what if the Royals promptly ditched him considering the fact that their queen wasn't present to force them to humor him? He didn't need them.

He totally did. Screw whatever his bitter tipsy side said.

Nevertheless, when it hit eight o'clock, Luke was having a pretty good time grinding against this scrumptious looking Animal. It wasn't his scrumptious, super mysterious for no damn reason but obviously in the best way Animal, sure, but Roman wasn't even his to begin with, let alone to be thinking about when he had hot, semi-sweaty male behind him. Buckley may not have been the most...open about a lot of things, especially sexuality, but house parties like these were where there really weren't no rules. You could do what you wanted with who you wanted. Granted, depending on who you were, you would probably want to keep a bit quiet if you were caught with a person far below you on the hierarchy, but again it was a party. Shit happened at a party. Not many took the time to judge at a party. And Luke was taking advantage, sucking down the contents of the wine cooler bottle like it was nothing but water. To him, it was considering it was pretty much a flavored beer and not at all as biting as something like vodka or tequila, but definitely enough alcohol to make him feel A-ok with everything. Including texting Rhapsody.

"Ok, but where do you wanna go next?" Genneya asked after stealing a handful from the fry basket on their table. By the time eight o'clock had come, she was starving, but had been in the middle of girls vs. boys skyscraper rope course race that she just had to give her all to because she would be darned if Louis thought for a second that the boys were going to win. Granted, she did love her some Chris, but he ultimately was grouped in with the rest of them and was the enemy at the time. Sadly enough, it was a tie that Genneya swore they were going to broke, but she was a part of their group that had wanted to go back to their tables and get their grub on. Her mom had rented the whole place out for the evening, leaving the lower school division to do as they pleased. So, Gigi hadn't even hesitated or felt the least bit ashamed when she grabbed three slices of the meat lover's pizza, a basket of lightly salted french fries that she totally was going to share with whomever she was sitting with - which happened to be Chris and a few other classmates - and a strawberry crush that had just been refilled.

She dipped a fry into what used to be Chris' large dollop of ketchup, but it was currently more of a puddle of tomato-y goodness that she was going to steal since their table didn't have a ketchup bottle and she didn't feel like calling to someone to bring her one or ask for the direction the one they had been using went. Besides, friends didn't let friends go without ketchup. There was a handbook and everyone needed to read it. After a few chews, she continued, "We could do the laser maze or the arcade...pretty sure I'm gonna kick your butt anyway, but I figured I'd let you decide which one you wanted to lose to me in."Grinning at her own audacity, Genneya playfully captured the straw from her cup between her lips, sucking the sweet carbonated beverage up to chase the salty fried goodness she honestly had an addiction to.

How Cydnee had allowed Charlotte to convince her into playing beer pong was beyond her. She didn't think of herself as being particularly bad at the drinking game, and maybe at the casual hangouts among her Artist friends, she wasn't. However, having Charlotte as a partner, despite Cydnee being convinced that the girl was high enough where she should have been chill and relaxed, automatically meant that she was playing on some ultra-competitive level that she wanted no part in. The fact that they had managed to beat a pair of Wannabe girls and moved on to verse Charlotte's brother and his partner, who happened to be Ari Rollings, a Royal, only made Charlotte's desire to win amplify by one hundred and still, Cydnee wanted no part of it. She just wanted to be sitting down on one of those nice soft couches on Ace's patio, with a glass of something in her hand that wasn't the beer she was currently holding. One game of beer pong would have been fine, but now that they were on game three and finally severely losing, she was definitely over it. Out of the ten cups that had initially been present on each side of the table, only two cups remained in front of her and Charlotte, and seven were still left in front of Adrien and Ari. The three that were gone had all been of Charlotte's doing, and over the past five minutes, the Rebel wouldn't let her forget that. "Can we just forfeit so I can go on with my life?" Cydnee said to Charlotte, her voice displaying how over this game she was, as she barely put any effort into tossing the ball towards the other end of the table. It missed; no surprise.

"Cydddddddd," Charlotte groaned, tossing her head backwards as she watched the girl's shot miss the many cups that were left on the opposing side of the table. "Why didn't you tell me that you sucked this badly before I put my reputation on the line by making you my partner?" she continued, only somewhat playfully. She tossed back the last bit of beer that was in the cup that the opposing team had knocked out during their last shot, before carefully throwing her ball across the table. Thankfully, it went in, but when they still had to knock out six cups, as opposed to the two that Adrien and Ari had left, it wasn't much to celebrate. "I'm not forfeiting against my brother. He usually sucks more than you do. Forfeiting when it's only him we're up against would be beyond embarrassing," she added. In reality, she knew her brother was good at the game (being good at beer pong was one of the few redeeming qualities on any jock's resume, in her opinion), and Arizona was surprisingly decent herself, but Charlotte was competitive, and she wasn't going to admit that. "Besides, we still have a chance at winning." The likelihood of that was low, and Charlotte was smart enough to know that, but she wasn't one to admit defeat.

"Baby girl, you're lucky I like you, that's all I'm gonna say 'til this game is done with," Cydnee responded with amid an eye roll, at Charlotte's refusal to end the game now. It didn't keep her from continuing to look around the backyard for some means of escape, though, even if she didn't know what that could be yet. While she was at it, she managed to send out a few texts too.

"Hey, baby," a sophomore said, eyeing her up. Danielle didn't even lift her eyes from her phone as she responded. "Fuck off." Frankly, she was proud of herself for not having punched anyone yet. She'd been hit on more times than she could count. A handful of guys had tried feeling her up, and one guy had even tried grinding on her. And she was freaking tired of it. She'd lost her friends and wasn't able to find any of them, and she just wanted to go home. The only reason she hadn't left was the free alcohol, which she was taking full advantage of. She took a sip from her drink as the sophomore's friends jeered him on. "Aw, come on, sweetheart, it's just a dance," he said. She sighed, straightened up, and turned to face him. She folded her arms as she looked him up and down. His smug smile faltered a little beneath her glare.

"I wouldn't dance with you unless somebody had a gun to my head," she replied. "And even then, I'd have to have a good, long think about it." She downed the rest of her drink, and decided that leaving the drinks table was probably her best choice right now. She really didn't feel like ending up with blood on her dress after she broke somebody's nose.

Retrieving a bottle of beer before she left, she went in search of somebody, anybody she liked before she lost it altogether. She eventually found a game of beer pong which caught her attention. She then realised who was playing, and grinned. Turns out it was Ari and Adrien against Charlotte and Cyndee. Charlotte and Cyndee were losing pretty badly, which of course meant Danielle had to chime in.

"Would a third member of the team help you guys at all?" She asked. "Because, I mean, you can't be doing much worse," she added, smirking.

While many of the other Jocks had paired up in an attempt at becoming the ultimate beer pong champions of the night, Adrien had quickly rejected inquiries from his friends to be partners in the game. It was his sport, as Adrien liked to claim (not like nearly every other drunk and athletic guy in the yard didn't say the same thing), but he didn't need to be with some kid from the baseball or football team to prove that he was good. Nah, he could still be competitive and win games, while also spending some time with the girl that he wanted to take home for the night. That girl was Ari Rollings. He doubted that he would ever end up actually taking her home, because no matter how close they seemed to get to sleeping together, they were always too good of friends at the root of it to ever dare moving past making out. While to an extent, it seemed frustrating, it wasn't really. Not at least in the way that people would expect, with Adrien being frustrated for being friend zoned or something. He was more-so frustrated that he didn't know if he truly wanted to move past just being friends with Ari. He didn't know if he only wanted to move past in the form of sex, which he knew could be dangerous to their friendship, or something more. Until he knew that, he knew that it would be stupid to do anything impulsive. It didn't mean that it didn't feel impossible to resist when he was sin the moment, though.

Luckily, Adrien had a high alcohol tolerance, and the night was really just getting started for him. He and Ari had played a few games of beer pong already, and though she had expressed interest in abandoning the tables after this round, he still wanted to go out with a bang. This game in particular was one that he wasn't going to just not care about and lose. "No subbing this late in the game!" Adrien said, calling foul on the move that he was sure Charlotte would try to take Danielle up on. Even if Danielle was decent at the game, he was convinced that there was no saving Charlotte's shipwreck of a team. He would have to remember to thank Cydnee for being bad later in the night, since on her own, Charlotte was usually pretty decent competition. Getting his ass handed to him by his sister and her friend would've been embarrassing just in a sibling standpoint, but even more-so, given that he was a jock. "Besides, Ari and I are about to let these two meet their maker. Show 'em a little mercy, kill 'em off once and for all," he said, smirking as he motioned for Ari to take her shot first. If they both got them in, the game would be over.

Beer pong wasn't the most pristine of activities to be partaking in, but it was also a reflection of how even kids who were raised in Beverly Hills and the surrounding areas, known for wealth, had to do more than play tennis and golf and polo, or play the harp and violin. There was a crossover between them and "normal" kids, considering that they all were just teenagers. Especially when the jocks were involved, even parties thrown by Royals like Ace could take a more frat-house spin, and though this one was fairly tame compared to parties thrown by Animals or Jocks themselves, it still wasn't something filled with activities that anyone's parents would be bragging about over dinner parties or charity events. Ari didn't think of herself as being obsessed with her reputation or her standing on the social ladder, so even if partaking in some of the more rowdy games of the party weren't considered Royal-ish (at least for a girl), it wasn't something that would ever cross her mind. She was having fun with Adrien, she was drinking, and that was all that mattered for the moment.

With the game finally coming to a close, Ari couldn't help but to hope that she got her last throw in more than before. It wasn't because she cared about winning, especially not to an extent that the two opposing Arnault siblings did, but she shared an opinion with Cydnee, that she just wanted the game to be over. She was sure that Juliette had texted her a few minutes back asking where she was, and if she hadn't, then Ari had to wonder if the girl was behaving herself or passed out drunk somewhere, since Juliette had a tendency to want all of her girl friends together when she was in her drunk and giddy mood. Either way, it was the driving force behind Ari putting a little bit of extra concentration behind her last shot, once Adrien signaled for her to go, and thankfully... it went in. She smiled proudly, and though she was sure Adrien would get the last shot in anyway, she decided that she didn't need to stick around and see the grand show he put on once he did. "I'm sorry to do this to you, babe," she said, smirking and using the moniker only playfully, "But I'm bailing, and I guess if your subbing rule really stands, then if you don't get this shot in and will it for us, then we forfeit and the girls win," she explained, as that seemed like the most logical answer. Leaving the game, now that her role had been completed, was an action that she was taking mostly for her own benefit, but she figured that it would give Juliette's twin one less reason to dislike her over, too. If anything, she was giving her and Cydnee a last shot at winning, even if it was only because of a forfeit if Adrien missed the shot, and was down a teammate.

As she made her way back towards the house, she heard a group of Animals announce that the food had arrived, and she passed by several classmates carrying boxes of pizzas and bags of other delivery food out from the kitchen, and onto the patio, apparently per Ace's direction. She passed by the blonde too, though he seemed too distracted with trying to make sure the majority of the people stayed outside of his house, rather than inside. Ari's situation was different than most, considering that she didn't live with her parents, but with her Aunt and Uncle instead, but even if they were her parents, she didn't know if she would feel comfortable having tons of wild teenagers in their house, especially when they weren't home. It seemed risky, and disrespectful almost, but then again, for all she knew, Ace's parents were well aware of what his son was doing. If nothing else, she had to at least hold a bit of gratefulness for the people like Ace who were willing to go out on a limb and throw these parties, merely for the social benefit of others.

"My three favorite girls," she said as a greeting as she spotted a trio of Royals, consisting of Aaliyah, Camila and Juliette, and approached them. There was still one pizza box left on the counter, so Ari helped herself to a slice while it was still there, stepping away from the girls abruptly for just a second to locate a paper plate. The last thing she needed was grease stains on her clothes. At a last second thought, she plated a second slice and held it out in a "no buts" manner towards Juliette. Camila didn't have a slice in her hand either, but Camila wasn't like Juliette, who, to start, had a very scary tendency of not eating when she needed to, but who also liked to drink and drink and drink, with nothing in her stomach. It never ended well, as every other one of the girls had witnessed first hand, and yet Juliette still loved doing it, and then sobbing to them the next morning about how evil every deity above was for cursing her with a wretched hangover. "What have I missed?" she asked, before her eyes roved over Camila for a second time, this time more intently, as she said, "Wait, I love that top. The fringe is such a good look. I might have to steal that from you after tonight."

Adrien wanted to protest Ari leaving, be he figured that doing so might make it seem like he wanted her there for the wrong reasons. Obviously they were friends; more than friends, actually, but not to an extent where it wouldn't be weird for him to beg to retain her company. He did want her to stay for the company aspect, but he also would have been lying if his manhood ego didn't play a role in it. He was convinced that his winning shot deserved an audience, and that somehow, it would be as much as a turnon to her, as it was to his ego, for him to crush Charlotte and Cydnee in defeat. Without her there, his ping pong ball sailing into the last red cup left on the table didn't come with as much pride and joy as it would have, but it was still enough to have him sporting a tauntingly boastful smile as he buffed out his chest in success. "Hope you took notes during that game, Charlie," he teased his sister. "Can't have you making a mockery out of the Arnault name next time you play." He looked to Cydnee then, barely diminishing the cockiness in his attitude as he addressed someone outside of the family. "And Cydnee, thanks for being you. Couldn't have kicked her ass so easily if it wasn't for your solid shots." He left them with that, as the sounds of people shouting about the food having arrived allowed him to feel more at ease with leaving his reputation in that final game for now. However, he had to add, "And you might wanna find better partners if you wanna play without wasting your time," to Danielle as he passed her and headed towards the patio, where the food appeared to be being set up outside.

On his way over, he passed by Bea, who he couldn't tell just by looking at her had just been involved in a minor altercation with another girl. Hey Bea." He had grown up with Bea and the Prinsloo clan back in New York, which was probably the only reason behind the two every interacting, even to this day. Despite their different cliques and personalities, he always liked Bea. She had always seemed like the more down-to-earth Prinsloo, not like Rhia wasn't cool in her own right. "Heard they brought the food out here?" he said curiously, nodding towards the part of the yard closest to the house. "You hungry?"

Adrien was lucky that he took his shot quickly enough, because by the time that Ari had shot hers and it went in, Charlotte was already feeling impatient, stressed out, and honestly ready to slap her brother across the face for being so obnoxious and cocky. Between the way that he had immediately shot down her only chance at making a comeback by being technical about the rules, and then the way that he and Ari had finished the game in such an effortless manner... it was safe to say that Charlotte was done with beer pong for the night. In fact, Cydnee was probably lucky that her brother had managed to get under her skin enough, because she wasn't even thinking about Cydnee letting her down during the game after that. She knew that it was nearly immature to get so worked up over a game, but Charlotte was competitive and she wouldn't deny that. She liked winning and being the best at things, and having her younger brother beat her when she knew she was more skilled than him felt insulting.

"Hey Dani," Charlotte said, finally addressing the girl after taking the liberty of downing the two cups of beer that Ari and Adrien had finished the game with. She was actually entirely sick of the taste of beer at that point, but then again, she felt like she had nothing to lose. She took a deep breath then, genuinely trying to calm her nerves as she knew that it was going to bother her all night if she didn't actually chill out. That thought alone had her thinking about one thing. Weed. That thought, then, had her pulling out her phone and texting the two people she knew would have the easy hookup to the best weed, since she doubted her dealer was here, and hadn't brought any herself.

"Sorry about him," she said, somewhat distractedly as she put her phone away. "I'll kick his ass later to make up for him being such a jerk." She meant that, even if it wasn't until tomorrow that she could get in a good unexpected punch in the stomach to remind Adrien not to fuck with her and her friends in the future. "What have you been doing while Cydnee's been stressing me the fuck out?" she said, unsure if Dani was drunk or not, though she offered Cydnee a playful smile afterwards, partly in an attempt to force herself to feel like she was kidding, even if she somewhat wasn't.

Danielle laughed at Adrien's immediate response to her comment. Her hand-eye co-ordination was decent at best, and she didn't even know how much help she'd be. But Charlotte and Cyndee were losing pretty badly, so, like she said, it couldn't have hurt. Ari made her shot, then left, throwing the girls a lifeline. Not that it mattered, because Adrien's shot went into the cup easily. Danielle just raised an eyebrow as he made a parting remark about finding better teammates. He was gone before she could retort, though, so she just sighed and straightened up as Charlotte addressed her. She seemed a little distracted as she texted somebody, but Danielle didn't pay too much attention to it. If there was one thing the Arnault siblings shared, it was competitiveness, so she was probably a little put out about losing.

She laughed lightly at Charlotte's comment about her brother being an asshole. "It's fine, honestly. Some of us would have happy to just play for fun," She remarked. Her friend's question about what Danielle had been doing just prompted an eye roll. "Mostly attempting to get drunk, all while fending off horny freshmen and sophomores who have a little too much liquid courage in them, and who think that trying to seduce the weird nerdy girl is the perfect challenge," she drawled. "Anyway. I think I heard there's food after arriving, so do you guys want to get something?" She asked, directing the question towards Cydnee as well. "Or, we can go celebrate your truly spectacular loss with shots or something, I honestly don't care. Just as long as I don't have to deal with terrible flirting that isn't even purposely terrible," She added, shrugging.

Cydnee didn't know Danielle exceedingly well, and their relationship mostly existed through mutual friends like Charlotte, but from what she did know, she liked the girl enough. While Danielle's description of herself being "weird" and "nerdy" honestly seemed kind of true, it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Cydnee wasn't an A-lister, so she was sure worse things were said about her, even if her relationship with Aaliyah protected her from receiving too much scrutiny. To Cydnee, being weird usually meant being unique, and being unique in this kind of world, the one that Buckley existed in, meant not being a carbon copy of every person around you. Having a mind of your own and not being ashamed of that. Even if she and Danielle didn't have enough in common to be standalone friends on their own, she appreciated socializing with her when the situations presented themselves.

"At this point, I could use some food and shots. You should'a come over here fifteen minutes ago before I had to subjective myself to this one's abuse, though," Cydnee responded, elbowing Charlotte in the most playful manner that she could muster at the moment. "Then, I'd probably be down for just eating." As they headed away from the area that the beer pong tables were set up in, and back towards the house, they passed the remnants of the fight that had broken out a few minutes before. The backyard wasn't that big to a point where they hadn't heard all of the screaming, even if Cydnee hadn't been close enough to witness it all. She didn't care about it too much, especially when she noticed that one of the bloodied people being escorted away from it was an A-lister, someone that she had no ties to, but like everyone else, she was intrigued by it, even slightly. Given the one guy that she could clearly tell was involved, she simply assumed that him and another guy had been fighting over some girl. He seemed to fit the bill of an entitled and privileged A-list boy who thought that he deserved every girl his heart desired, and even if Cydnee didn't know him other than knowing what clique he belonged to, or the situation, she automatically assumed that he deserved to be as beaten up as he looked. "Im'a ask whoever did that to come and kick your ass next time you pull that attitude with me in a game," she warned Charlotte, nodding towards the kid as she continued past the scene. "Do you guys wanna get food and find a place for us to eat and I'll get us shots, and then mixed drinks for after? Fireball good?" It seemed like most people were beginning to realize that the food was here, and the last thing that Cydnee wanted to do was end up sitting in the grass eating.

Charlotte laughed at Danielle's description of her night so far. She didn't blame her for actively trying to get drunk if she had been hit on that much by sophomores and freshman. Charlotte wasn't against hooking up with people who were younger than herself (though freshman were definitely too young in her eyes), but most of the ones that she went to school with seemed so immature. Then again, it probably wasn't specific to Buckley's population. Most kids in that age range probably fell into that category of being obnoxiously immature, cocky, and too inexperienced to actually be a good time. "I can't blame them for trying to get a piece of you," she teased Danielle, purposely ignoring Cydnee, aside from an eye roll, as they passed by what was left of an apparent fight that had broke out in the yard. It wasn't completely uncommon for scuffles to occur at parties like this. Give teenage boys an unlimited amount of alcohol, and fists usually started flying at some point. Granted, it was still pretty early, so it occurring this soon was surprising, but it wasn't rare enough to leave Charlotte concerned, or even too intrigued. As long as her brother wasn't involved, it meant that she didn't have to care.

The idea of eating was tempting, even if Charlotte had eaten a few hours ago before the party. She had a fast metabolism, and especially when she was drinking, she tended to eat a lot, so she was ready for more once Dani suggested it. As they neared the patio area, the smell of various foods made her even hungrier, so she nodded when Cydnee suggested that she get the drinks while they found a place to eat. "Sounds like a plan," she answered, though she definitely planned on making herself a plate before sitting down somewhere. "So you are you holding out for, if all of the babies at the party aren't good enough for you?" she inquired, smirking as she grabbed a paper plate and lightly pushed her way past people to get a good glimpse of what food was available. "Or are you too much like me, and you're just here for the free alcohol and food?"

Danielle laughed at Cyndee's remark about needing drinks and food after the shambles that had been their beer pong match, Charlotte's reaction just making her laugh more. Her and Cydnee were never really going to be friends. They didn't have enough in common to ever hang out away from their mutual friends. But that didn't mean that Danielle didn't enjoy her presence. It was nice to hang out with someone different sometimes.

In response to Charlotte's comment about not blaming the boys for wanting a piece of her, Danielle just rolled her eyes. Sometimes, she wondered if the only reason they were after her was because, despite being a weirdo, she was a Rebel, and they came with status. That, and her decent level of attractiveness, made her the perfect target if somebody was dared to ask out anybody outside of the norm. Was anyone even really attracted to her, or was she just a challenge?

They hatched their plans to divide and conquer, and Danielle followed Charlotte towards the food. "Mostly just for the food and alcohol," she said lightly, which was the truth. "But, that said, if I found somebody who managed to live up to my impossibly high standards, I wouldn't exactly refuse," she added. "It's just that a solid 90% of the guys here don't even come anywhere near my standards." Again, the truth. She found her eyes following the girls more, having to remind herself that even if everybody seemed to be drunk, she still couldn't take any chances. Or at least, not until she was so outrageously drunk that she could get away with it. And maybe not even then.

The end of the fight hadn't escaped her notice, but honestly, she didn't even care. She didn't get what the appeal was of watching fights. She'd ended up in a few of her own at times, and being watched was never fun. It just made her stomach twist and her want to get out of there as quickly as possible. And besides, she'd catch the good parts from everybody else in the following days.

"So, what about you? Are we both just more attached to the alcohol than the people, or do we both just have impossible standards?" She asked.

"If either of us have high standards, it's you," Charlotte said, barely feeling shameful about the long list of people that she had been involved with over the past two years, mostly at parties like this. It didn't usually lead to sex, though Charlotte was never particularly against that, but she had definitely had her fair share of close-to-sex situations when she was at someone else's house, where she didn't need to be on guard, and when she had a lot to drink. She wasn't one to kiss and tell, which was a good thing for a lot of people, since her list of past alcohol-fueled interactions included people from a variety of cliques. Charlotte happened to catch one of them walking by a few feet away, and though she smirked to herself at the sight of Aaliyah, she kept her mouth shut and maintained her attention on Danielle. There was a time and a place for taunting Aaliyah and trying to get under her skin for shits and giggles, but right now wasn't the time. Not here, in front of all of these people. "Before the night's out, this alcohol that I am very much attracted to, will have me undressing for someone, and as long as I get enough of it in me, I won't really care who it is," she laughed.

Her eyes lit up when she spotted a tray of chicken wings that had seemed to go undetected after someone placed a pizza box over it. She definitely needed a slice of cheese pizza and a bread stick, but she made sure to pile a few wings onto her plate too. It probably didn't make sense, given her own family's wealth, but when other people were paying for things, Charlotte felt more inclined to take advantage of it. That was why she had taken the liberty of drinking most of the beer on their side of the table during the beer pong table, and why her plate was fuller than it needed to be now. Though she had been momentarily distracted by the food, once her plate was full, she looked back to Danielle with a playful expression. "Which means, you better watch yourself tonight, Jones. I try to keep my hookups out of our friend circle, but like I told you earlier, you dressed too pretty tonight. Gonna be hard for me to resist once Cyd gets back here with those drinks." For the most part, she was only joking, but that was only because she was sure that Danielle was straight. Charlotte was very comfortable with hooking up with girls and guys, but she was too used to the majority of people identifying as straight to ever make a move on a girl unless she knew that they weren't strictly straight.

Danielle shrugged at Charlotte's comment about her high standards. Truth be told, Danielle's standards weren't even that high. She'd hooked up with people at parties before, and it wasn't like she regretted them. It was more that the standard seemed to be at an all time low tonight, or else she was just feeling particularly picky. She was mostly blaming the fact that she was on edge due to the fact that she was going to have to see her mother in only a few short days. The thought made her stomach twist uncomfortably. She forced herself to return to the present, staring down at what she already had on her plate. She retrieved a few chicken wings and decided it was done.

The twisting in her stomach wasn't made any better by Charlotte's light tease about her possibly making a move on Danielle. She knew it was a joke. But God, had she given herself away? Did Charlotte know? Was that a test for Danielle? Just to read her reaction? Danielle forced herself to laugh. "Yeah, good luck with that," she replied. Had her laugh seemed forced? Had her reply been too forced? Was she just giving herself away? Danielle knew that she had a solid amount of alcohol in her system, but it suddenly felt like it wasn't enough, like she needed to be even drunker to try and deal with this. She knew that alcohol was probably only going to make her feel worse in the long run, but she'd take the hangover in the morning if it meant that it would deal with the pressure that was gripping her windpipe right now.

"I'm done here, I'm just going to get out of the way, okay?" She said, before stepping out of the crowd and standing a short distance away. Once away from everyone else, she was able to take a deep breath, to try and calm down without anyone noticing. She shouldn't have eaten before coming, otherwise she'd probably be drunk by now.

"The fuck?" The bathroom was small enough that the door swinging open behind him nearly hit him, and he had half the mind to kick back at it to shut it in the face of whoever was trying to interrupt what was going on there. Luckily he didn't, because it wasn't some stumbling drunk moron looking for a free bathroom to use, but Cydnee Black, and with her presence came a bout of soberness as accusations of rape flew into the air. "It's not-- It's not what it looks like! I swear!" Finn insisted, quickly zipping his pants back up. Only then did he look down at Juliette and realize that something wasn't right. Not only was this situation compromising in the first place, since no one wanted to be walked in on mid-hookup, but looking at Juliette in itself made Finn realize that something was wrong.

"Really? What is going on then, if you weren't getting ready to put that dick inside of this girl who's basically passed out?" Cydnee snapped back. She and Juliette weren't friends by any means, but Cydnee was sure that even if she didn't have a secret crush on her cousin's best friend, that she would still defend her in a situation like this. Especially when it was a good-for-nothing jock involved. Out of all of the cliques, it was the least surprising to find a jock doing something like this, and Cydnee now had little doubt in her mind that Finn was the friend of Alan's who Cat couldn't remember the name of.

"She wasn't like that a second ago!" Finn insisted, taking a step towards the girl on the floor before backing up. He was going to kneel down beside her, maybe shake some sense and awareness into her, but he was now aware enough to know that laying a finger on her probably wouldn't be the best look. "Juliette! Tell her!" he had to insist, though, hoping that maybe she would miraculously recollect what had truly happened when he first found her in this bathroom.

No, no, no. Cydnee was not about to let this boy get anywhere near Juliette, and though he seemed to realize that as he backed up, she felt the need to place herself in between them and take a few steps forward on top of that, to back him up even further. "Look, boy," she said, quickly growing intensely serious as a finger prodded him in the chest. She didn't care that she was inches shorter than him. She would swing on him in an instant if she had to. "I'm going to give you a five minute head start before I let her brother know about this. Maybe I'll give him your name. Maybe I'll say I didn't recognize the person who just nearly raped his sister. Depends on how I'm feeling in a few minutes. Regardless, while I get her clothes back on, I suggest you sprint out of this house and maybe down a few blocks, call an Uber, and take your ass home before you really get your ass kicked. I'm not saying this is done, but I might be nice and let it be done for the night."

"I wasn't going to rape her! I would never!"

"Again, that's not what it looked like to me and the clock is ticking. Just go." It was bullshit that he wasn't going to have sex with her. He was putting on a damn condom the second she walked in the story! Cydnee wasn't in the mood to argue, now that her heart was racing with a mixture of shock, fear and anger, and not with Juliette still lying barely-awake on the floor in front of them. She had bigger things to handle right now.

Finn was in full panic mode. He wanted to stay and defend himself, tell Cydnee what really happened, that for all he knew, Juliette had gotten to this nearly-passed out stage in the second that Cydnee had burst into the door. She had asked him to come on to her. Hell, she had even been asking his friends to get him to come on to her (from what he had been told)! He wasn't raping her! He wasn't that kind of person! That accusation was one that was strong enough to make Finn feel more sober than he had in the past hour. Rape was not a joke. Taking advantage of a girl who was unable to consent was not a joke. But Juliette had consented. As far as Finn was concerned, the last few minutes had been amazing for both of them, and it was only now that he was truly realizing that something had changed in her. She hadn't just become more quiet and submissive because she wanted him to take control, like the guys had suggested. She had no choice in that matter, now. She really seemed like she was about to pass out. It scared him for her sake, but there was definitely fear there for his own sake as well, at the mention of Adrien finding out. Finn knew that Adrien would beat the living shit out of him. Ace would do the same. He would be screwed if either of them found out, even if they didn't beat him up. He prayed that Cydnee would have pity on him and hide his identity, but he didn't know her enough to trust that she would. He felt like his hands were tied behind his back at this point; there was nothing to do but leave and do exactly as she said... not only leave Ace's house, but the surrounding area in case Adrien or Ace did come out looking for him, and then call an Uber home when he was already a few blocks away. And that was exactly what he did, as he hurried out of the Bronson household.

With the blonde boy gone, Cydnee locked the bathroom door behind him and knelt down on the tiled floor besides Juliette. Though she felt the need to be compassionate in a situation like this, she couldn't keep all of her bitter sass suppressed as she grabbed the girl's clothes off of the floor and said, "How the hell did you get yourself into this situation?" She doubted the brunette would be able to give her a good answer, and she knew that it wasn't the victim's fault in a situation like this, but still, it had to be said. She spent a good few minutes trying to get Juliette's bodysuit back on her, but her arms were too heavy and the girl felt like dead weight as each of her fingers got stuck in the holes in the material. In the midst of it, Cydnee sent out a text to Charlotte reading, "Come to the upstairs bathroom by the stairs now. Your sister is passed out", then deciding that she had given Finn enough time to escape before this situation came to light. She had given up on the body suit by then, but had redressed Juliette's lower half and opted to shed her own cardigan to slide over Juliette's top half. "I texted your sister to come up here. I think someone slipped something into your drink," she explained.

CHARLOTTE β–Ώ ARNAULT

Dialogue Color: #3BAD45

Charlotte hadn't even heard Danielle explain that she was going to wait a little bit away from all of the chaos surrounding the food, but at the same time, she wasn't shocked or worried when she finally turned away with her plate of food and didn't see the girl there. She wasn't the type of person who kept tabs on her friends too much. Charlotte was too comfortable with doing her own thing to ever feel insecure hanging out by herself at a party, and it was easy for her to believe that Dani must have seen another friend and drifted away with them. She would definitely call her out on ditching when she found her again, if only to be playful, but there wouldn't be any real hurt behind it.

She was curious as to where Cydnee went, though, but that was only because she was supposed to be bringing drinks to them. Charlotte's eyes searched for an empty seating area, only to have them first land upon Cat, who seemed unoccupied. The cup in her hand didn't worry Charlotte, only because she was certain that it was filled with soda or juice and not alcohol. Even if she knew that Cydnee had given her alcohol, Charlotte wouldn't have been destroyed by it. She probably would have even found it to be a bit humorous, though it secretly would have made her feel the need to watch over the redhead just a tad bit more throughout the night. As she weighed whether she wanted to approach Cat and wish a headache upon herself this early or not, she got a text from Cydnee. She opened it, assuming that it was the girl telling her to meet her somewhere because she had found a spot to sit for them, but instead read a text about Juliette apparently being passed out. It probably spoke to Charlotte and Juliette's sisterly relationship, in that Charlotte wasn't worried, but actually felt inconvenienced by this text. Juliette had a tendency to over drink, and though admittedly, her friends were good at taking care of her, Charlotte often had to take over by the end of the night. The night was still young now, though, so she was more angry than anything at her sister for what she assumed to be her drinking too much this early on.

She obliged Cydnee's request, though, if only because she felt like it was weird enough in itself that Cydnee felt compelled to text her when Juliette normally had friends of her own by her side. Charlotte didn't put her plate down; she definitely wasn't that concerned, and in the back of her mind, she hoped that Cydnee had gotten the drinks and had them with her before somehow ending up in the second level of Ace's home, but either way, she made her way inside and upstairs. It took a few knocks on the door of the bathroom that Cydnee had specified for it to be opened, but once it was, she found exactly what Cydnee had described. Juliette was on the floor, halfway clothed with Cydnee's cardigan keeping her modest on the upper-half of her body. Though she was smirking at first, the smile faded substantially when she gently kicked Juliette's arm, expecting some sort of drunken, dramatic rebuttal in return, but instead, she received nothing. Her arm fell limply beside her, and though her sister's head moved a little bit and there was a quiet groan, it wasn't the response that she was expecting. This was not Juliette after one too many cocktails. Still, Charlotte was not the type of sister, or even person, really, to become very expressive in her worry or concern. "Don't tell me she tried coke or something, because I'll murder her right here," Charlotte said. Charlotte had some experience in drugs on her own, but even she wasn't big enough in that scene to say that she did anything regularly (or even more than once) aside from marijuana. She expected and knew that her sister had even less involvement in it, but she knew from just looking at Juliette that this was related to some sort of drug. "I don't have to take her to the hospital or anything, right? She's obviously not dead," she said, only then kneeling down to confirm that her sister actually did have a pulse, even though her slight movements earlier basically confirmed that. "I'll call an Uber and text Adrien to come get her. Are her friends around? How did you find her out of all people?" she questioned as she texted Adrien, saying, "Get upstairs now. Juliette's passed out. Definitely from drugs. We're going home and I can't carry her."

Cydnee's Outfit
Cydnee really couldn't act like she was surprised by how nonchalant Charlotte was about this. She could sense that the girl tensed up a little bit when she realized that Juliette wasn't just playing around or being dramatic, but she still wasn't in an all-out panic like most people would be if Juliette was their sibling. Part of it probably had to do with how Charlotte and Juliette interacted in general, but additionally, Charlotte also wasn't a very emotional person. Cydnee was aware of how she preferred to bottle up her feelings, so it was more necessary to be observant and pick up on the little things in Charlotte's behavior when you wanted to figure out what she was truly thinking. "I don't think you have to take her to the hospital," Cydnee confirmed. If they had found Juliette like this and Cydnee hadn't spoken to Cat about why she was like this, it would have been a definite yes that she should go to the hospital. Even the vagueness of Cat's "powder" description meant that a hospital trip was probably a good idea, if only to get some IV fluids to keep Juliette hydrated and to flush the drugs out of her system faster, or to confirm what drug was actually in her system. Knowing that she was this gone because she was drugged was somehow more comforting than seeing her nearly passed out and not knowing why, and Cydnee was sure that she had heard stories of people getting roofied before in college and the likes, and just spending the night in their dorm and then waking up the next morning with the worst hangover ever. "You obviously don't want her to die or something at your house, so it's your call, but..."

She wasn't sure how she wanted to approach the conversation with Cat, and what she had walked in on. It was probably a little sick, but Cydnee liked being the only one who knew. She liked the power that came with that, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to relinquish it so soon. However, this was obviously serious, and Charlotte was a friend. She had to say something since it was her sister on the floor. "Cat vaguely recollected a story to me about watching some jocks put 'powder' into Juliette's drink earlier, which is definitely 'roofie' in Cat-language. That's why I came up here looking for her, right after Cat told me, which was right after I left you. You know, to make sure she was okay and everything..." Could she leave it at that? Let Charlotte just think that Juliette found her way up to this bathroom alone after being roofied, and everything ended there? She could... part of her wanted to... but she found herself continuing to talk fter glancing down at Juliette once more. "Her friends weren't up here but when I came in there was some blonde guy in here. I don't know who he was. Maybe he was from a different school or something, and don't freak out, but she was naked and just as dead as she is now, and he was standing over her ready to put on a condom when I came in." She didn't know how someone could not freak out at that, but then again, this was Charlotte. What she didn't understand even more was why she was keeping Finn's identity a secret, when she owed him absolutely nothing, but she did. "I obviously flipped the fuck out on him and told him to get the fuck out and he did, and that was when I texted you. I don't think he... did anything to her." Saying it aloud made Cydnee realize that she didn't know when Finn had done before she had walked in. They may not have had sex, but who knows what he had done to Juliette before that. She didn't know Finn enough to speak on his character in any way that would require her to defend him.
