Name

Nicholas Weston Van Veenen

Nickname(s)

Nick. It has always been Nick, and it always will be.

Age

17

Date of Birth

April 25th, 1999

Astrological Sign

Aries

Nationality

American

Ethnicity

Caucasian - 75% Dutch, 15% French, 10% English

Sexual Orientation

Nick just figured out that he is bisexual, leaning towards females.

Sexual History

Nick has a completely clean record. Nothing. Zilch.

Relationship History

i. When Nick was 14, he dated a Spanish girl named Merche Haizea Sala. It was definitely nothing serious, just something for both of them to pass the time. They liked each other, but not quite in a crush or friend way. Eventually, they went their separate ways as Nick become a high-ranking jock and Merche became an outcast.
ii. Nick dated a girl named Carmela Wynne Leavitt for 1 1/2 years, starting from when he was 15. They definitely liked each other (a lot), and while they were devoted as boyfriend and girlfriend, they weren't over the moon with each other. Sadly, they had to break things off when Carmela moved back to her home country, England.

Relationship Status

Single

Body Shape

Rectangle-ish

Body Type

Ectomorph

Shape of Face

Heart.

Skin Tone

Light, slightly tanned

Eye Color

Changes from green to blue to silver.

Hair Color? Type? Styles?

Nick's hair is a light brown color, sometimes seeming blonde. It's on the thinner side, and Nick usually doesn't do anything special to it...besides comb it.

Distinguishing Marks

Nick has a scar on his inner left wrist from a barbed wire incident from when he was seven or eight.

Fashion Sense

Nick, being a jock, is all about athletic clothing. He wears his varsity jacket, tracksuits, shorts, t-shirts, etc. Nick practically never wears any pair of shoes other than his tennis shoes - except when he's playing a sport. Nick, growing up on a ranch, also incorporates some of that in his clothing style. He tends to wear jeans when he's not wearing shorts, and he's quite accepting of plaid.

Overall Attractiveness

Some people call him cute, some call him hot. It varies from person to person, but Nick does tend to be a bit higher on someone's personal cute meter rather than their personal hot meter. Nick is far from ugly - he would call himself an eight or nine.

Good Traits

i. adventurous
ii. generous
iii. dependable
iv. easy-going
v. lively

Bad Traits

i. grudge-holder
ii. reckless
iii. restless
iv. blunt
v liar

Personality

Nick has a bright and adventurous soul. He is quite the lively person, and isn't one to be in bad moods very much. He's a bundle of light, almost like a hyperactive puppy. Nick has boundless amounts of energy, and is energetic to the point of restlessness. He needs something to do, and simply can't sit in one place for long periods of time. Nick is an optimist, but not enough to be called a dreamer. He always attempts to look at the bright side of things, but isn't ignorant to the dark side either. To satisfy his restless nature, Nick is quite adventurous and daring. One could easily call him reckless, making bold plays in football that probably won't work. Many can comment on his lack of caution, and how he needs to stop playing with fire so much.

Nick isn't just an embodiment of a hyperactive puppy. He has a kind soul as well, and is a generous person. He looks past financial boundaries, and attempts to help people who really need it and who really deserve it. Despite his reckless nature and lack of caution, Nick is very careful with his money. He won't just hand it out to someone on the sidewalk just because he has extra. Nick is also a dependable person. He is very trustworthy as long as you're his good friend, but you can't just expect him to do something for you if you don't do something for him. Bound by loyalty, Nick wouldn't leave a trusted and loved one behind.

Despite this side to him, Nick definitely has some negative traits. For instance, he's blunt. He doesn't try to purposely hurt people's feelings, but he doesn't exactly have a filter. Although Nick definitely has this brutally honest side of him, you can't deny that he doesn't lie. Nick isn't one of those people with those strong consciences. He will lie if he deems fit (but apparently, no white lies). Nick is also a serious grudge-holder. First impressions are very important to him, and if you make a bad one, that's what he will see you as for his whole life. So if you do something against his friends, Nick will make your life miserable for literally years to come.

Strengths

i. very good athlete
ii. people person
iii. loyal

Weaknesses

i. not the best artist
ii. can't let go of the past
iii. too restless, too reckless

Greatest Joys in Life

i. basketball
ii. baseball
iii. food
iv. music

Greatest Fears

i. poison
ii. space (mainly because of the lack of oxygen)
iii. his father

Priorities

Nick's first priority is always his grades. After all, if he doesn't have a high GPA, he can't play in the school's basketball team. His second priority is, of course, sports. In this case, it's basketball.

Life Philosophy

"I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.'" ~ Muhammad Ali

Hometown

Upbringing

Nick's past is definitely not normal in any means. He was born into a rich family as the child of Matthew and Penny Van Veenen. They had a lot of money, but not enough to be especially famous. Nick's parents were multimillionaires, but they didn't get there in the right way. Nick's mother worked in Los Angeles, and Nick grew up in Houston, so he didn't see her much until his later years. Penny Van Veenen is an incredibly successful fashion designer and owner of a fashion company, and got to the top with her work ethic and perseverance. However, Nick's father was another story. Unemployed for most of Nick's childhood, Matthew Van Veenen raked in money a different way. Nick didn't know it, but his father was a serious criminal, and still is. He'd be in prison for being on the America's Most Wanted list if they actually knew it was him performing all the bank robberies, murders...the list goes on and on.

But Nick's dad openly abused him - very badly, in fact. Therefore, Nick started living with his father's sister and her husband, going back and forth between the two households. For about 7 years, up until about when Nick turned 12, he lived the majority of his life in the household of Gunnar and Kaitlin Bowen, his uncle and aunt. Nick never understood why his parents were so rich, and how Gunnar and Kaitlin were simply middle-class, and struggling to make ends meet. After all, why couldn't his parents help them out? Gunnar and Kaitlin were good people, allowing Nick to play sports even though they had some financial problems. But Nick understood everything after he turned 12.

You see, a week or so before Nick's 12th birthday, his father was sentenced to a life in prison for all the crimes he had committed. Nick moved in with his mother, who was oblivious to his home situation due to work and the lies Nick's father fed her. After she figured everything out, she told the jury all the other crimes Matthew Van Veenen had committed against his family. As it turns out, Nick's mother lived her life as a lie. She had to pretend to love Matthew, and later had to marry him, bear him a child, and give him money. Matthew Van Veenen was a horrible person, but he was extremely cunning and manipulative. He knew exactly what to do to get Nick's mother to play into his hand. The sick thing about it was that Nick's mother knew exactly what Matthew was doing, but she couldn't even do anything about it without making her life even more miserable than it already was. After that, Nick's mother gave Gunnar and Kaitlin a loan to help them stay on their feet, and Nick started going to Buckley.

Idol or Hero

His mom. When Nick was younger and had just figured out his father's crimes, he was angry at his mom for not doing anything about it. After that, he learned that his mother couldn't do anything about it. He admires her for pulling through and putting on a brave face, while managing an successful company single-handedly.

Dreams

To be a professional basketball player.

Education

Nick started going to Buckley a month or so into his 7th grade year. Before that, he went to Barbara Bush Elementary School, and he went to Campbell Middle School in Houston for around a year or so.

Nick's loves his mother even more than he hates his father. They have become very close over the course of five years. Penny is an understanding parent, the one Nick needs after the imprisonment of his father.

If it weren't for his uncle and aunt, Nick wouldn't know what to do with his life. They shaped him into the person he is today, and Nick couldn't be more grateful. He visits them every summer.

Short Term Goals

Nick wants to finish his high school sports career with a bang. You know, win the championships, keep all his real friends, all that jazz. After that, he wants to get into a good college with an excellent basketball team.

Long Term Goals

To be honest, beyond his very real goal of becoming a pro basketball player in the NBA, Nick doesn't really have his life planned out.

Aspirations

Duh. NBA.

"I always forget how sick your house is, man," was Finn's reaction today, as it was quite frequently, when he first arrived at Adrien's house. He came from a middle class family, and while their home was nice by average American standards, it was nothing like many of his wealthier peers' homes. Homes like Adrien's always seemed really gorgeous to Finn, but they always felt more like museums than homes. Maybe it was just his own mind, but he felt like he had to be careful with everything, and that even the furniture was meant to be looked at more than it was to be touched.

"This place?" Adrien asked, huffing in a dismissively arrogant manner. "This place is nothing, man. My parents specifically picked it out because they wanted some down-to-earth type o' vibe in California. This is like the little shack they sneak away to when they either get tired of New York, or remember that they have three kids living here that they need to parent," he said, a bit of a cold edge to his words, though a light smirk was present on his face. Adrien could act as nonchalantly dismissive as he wanted to, but there was no denying that it felt nice to receive compliments on something that technically wasn't even his to be taking compliments on. It wasn't like he paid the mortgage on this house, and though he wasn't lying when he insisted that this house really was small and underdone compared to what the Arnaults were used to, he was well aware that he probably sounded like a cocky little rich boy as he spoke. And he didn't mind that one bit. People could judge Adrien based on his start, call him a trust fund baby and all of that. It wasn't his fault that he happened to get lucky by being born into this life, and he knew that one day, he would prove to everyone that he could do more than just use his parents as a stepping stool to success. He would do something on his own, to get success his own way one day, but for now, he was sixteen-years-old, and he wasn't complaining about handouts from mom and dad.

Adrien's father Bernard was currently in France, which was something that felt more common than uncommon nowadays, and though he wasn't positive on his mother's whereabouts, he was almost positive that she had mentioned something about leaving for a weekend getaway to Hawaii with some of her girlfriends. Either way, what he was positive about was that neither of his parents were home, which was why he had no reservations with helping himself to their liquor. His mother, especially, was very relaxed about her kids drinking, but even with her demeanor, Adrien never would have been so bold as to take from her stash and share with friends right in the kitchen of their own home. That was a move that only Juliette could get away with, as he and Charlotte so frequently teased that she was their mother's favorite.

"All I know is that I'd take this place over mine in a heartbeat," Finn answered, barely bothered by Adrien's display of arrogance at his wealth. "My brother comes back from school in a couple weeks then it's back to sharing a room with him, and not only having to listen to my two younger sisters fight and talk about Justin Bieber, but my older sister will be back to do the same, too," he said, with an annoyed shake of his head. He was pretty close with his siblings by normal standards, but still, when the five of them were crammed into their house, it usually took no longer than five minutes for a fight to break out among some portion of them.

"I was gonna tell you that nothing's worse than sharing a house with twin sisters, but you're in the same boat as me there, so I'll let you take the cake on the craziest family life for now. I'm sure one of my sisters are home and'll come down and prove me wrong momentarily, but I can drink to the thought of your family being more unstable than mine," Adrien joked, as cracked open a bottle of beer, sliding it to Finn before opening up one for himself too. "I didn't invite everyone," he admitted after a swig of beer. "Not interested in all of the bitches running around my house,"[/color] he continued, referring to their fellow jocks, "But I hit up a few of them to see if they wanted to come. I think I texted Mark, Tim, Jasper, Nick, Tony... the ones that I actually felt like dealing with tonight," he added with a shrug.

Finn took a chug from the cold bottle of beer that Adrien slid to him. Last year was when he had first started drinking, and it was save to say that all of his parties as a newly-initiated jock had taught him that he wasn't the kind of person who could drink liquor. From getting sick all over the upstairs hallway of the Arnault house, to passing out more than once on strangers' couches and having to deal with his mother lecturing him for hours about not letting her know he was "sleeping over a friend's house"... he just didn't have a great alcohol tolerance yet, so he knew that it was always safer to stick to beer for the most part. "I don't blame you," he answered a beat later, knowing that having the entire jock clique in one place was basically a recipe for disaster with how hard they all pregamed. "I'll see where those guys are at," he said, sending out a group text to Jasper and Nick, plus the other guys that Adrien mentioned.

Sabina set down her comb as she looked into her mirror. It wasn't the shiniest. The once-polished glass was now looking dusty, with splashes of discoloration. Sabina sighed as she started to part her light brown hair. Once that was done, Sabina slipped a golden hair tie on her right wrist and started braiding her hair.

As soon as Sabina secured her braid with her hair tie, she received a notification. The brunette picked up her iPhone 4 and checked her Snapchat. She had the phone for a relatively short time, and was a hand-me-down from Sabina's mother. Sabina raised an eyebrow; Cat had sent her a Snap. Technically, Sabina wasn't even supposed to have a Snapchat account. But literally no one listened to those rules.

"Hey guys! Look how pretty Cydnee made me! I love her! Haha!" Cat, like always, used the cat filter. Cat flipped the camera so that it faced the blue-eyed junior while the redhead continued to laugh happily. Sabina went to Cat's story and responded to the Snap.

To Cat:
You look awesome! Just let Cydnee work her magic.

Sabina turned off her phone after that. She grabbed her lip conditioner - it was damn expensive - and applied it quickly. The middle schooler slipped on her shoes, grabbing her bag and phone before heading towards the front door. As Sabina grasped the handle, she heard her mother's footsteps echo throughout the one-story house. The 8th grader turned to face her mother as the short woman approached her.

To be honest, Sabina and her mother, Arleen, never did look too similar. Arleen McCreery stood at 5'0" even, half an inch shorter than her daughter. Sure, the two had the same straight brown hair, although Sabina's was always of lighter hue. And while Sabina sported dark brown, almost obsidian-like eyes, her mother had dark, emerald green eyes. They were rather different.

Sabina's mother approached the dark-eyed girl, her face mainly expressionless, save for the slight scowl on her face. "Where are you going?" the green-eyed woman asked blandly. Sabina bit her tongue harshly as her mother gazed at her disapproving, almost angrily, refraining from talking back. Sabina knew her mother was still upset about the...incident a year back.

"Glowzone," Sabina responded in a strained voice. Things were still tense between her mother and herself. "There's a party."

Sabina's mother narrowed her eyes, before nodding stiffly and whirling around, heading for the kitchen. Sabina let out a relieved, and slightly exasperated sigh. She and her mother were never close, but the incident with Ezra made them more distant than ever.

Sabina pulled out her phone, biting her lip before finally deciding to text Gigi.

To Gigi:
Hey, do you mind coming over to my house to pick me up?

-

Nick could play a lot of sports. Football, soccer...you name it. In school, though, he only did three: baseball, basketball, and cross country. Nick, like many other varsity jocks, ate, drank, and breathed sports. It was what he lived for. He spent every one of his waking hours of pure free time training for any of his three sports - mainly basketball or cross country. He trained in the latter quite often, mainly because by doing it, he could also gain benefits for his other two sports. So in Nick's mind, the logical thing to do right now is to go for a jog.

The light-haired jock slowed to a walk, his jog leaving him slightly out of breath. "God," he gasped. "Why the hell did I go for a run when Bronson's party starts in a little over an hour?" Nick had ran long enough for him to be a bit out of breath, but not enough to start sweating. He did crazy things at times. For example, going for a jog so soon before Ace's party was about to start. In his party attire.

Luckily for him, Nick had a knack for keeping his clothes clean in situations like these.

Nick's phone vibrated in his pocket, alerting him of an incoming text. The jock checked his messages; ah, it was Finn.

From Finn:
I'm at Arnault's place. Who else is coming before we go to Bronson's?

Nick narrowed his eyes, slowly gazing upwards, before letting out a laugh. Damn, what a crazy coincidence. He had ran all the way to Adrien's neighborhood. Nick was only about a block away from the Arnault residence. He could get there soon enough. The light-haired jock started typing on his phone, before sending his reply to Finn.

To Finn:
I'm approx. a block away. You'll be seeing me soon, bro.

Nick let out a sigh before picking up the pace. "Well, at least this'll help for cross country," he muttered.

CHARLOTTE β–Ώ ARNAULT

Outfit: Outfit
Location: The Arnault Residence
Dialogue Color: #3BAD45

"I guess that's true," Charlotte leveled with a small smile as Danielle reasoned that she had no reason to dress up for her. She was only teasing with the inquiry about the motivation behind it, but all jokes aside, Danielle did look nice tonight. Then again, everyone and everything looked a bit nicer when Charlotte was high. It was easier to be less scrutinizing of the little details, and just feel relaxed and content with everything. That was probably why she didn't groan when she and Danielle entered the kitchen, and her suspicion from earlier was confirmed; that her brother was in the kitchen with a friend. There were lots of other places in the house to eat, especially since even in the evening in December, they were in California, so it wasn't too brisk outside to not be able to spend a little while eating by the pool, but Charlotte was too lazy for that. She set her bags of food down in front of one of the empty seats at the island and signaled for Danielle to sit beside her.

"Of course they're going to Ace's. They're two of his little bitches," Charlotte chimed in, a devious smirk creeping onto her face as she began to pull out smaller, individual containers from the large plastic bag the delivery food came in. She looked towards the boys then, knowing that if she was making eye contact with Danielle while speaking, she would probably actually laugh. "My girl dressed to impress specifically for your boy Ace. Think you can get her some one-on-one time with him?" she pressed, doing her best to sound serious despite the smirk. She knew Dani would probably want to roll her eyes or hit her for it, but that was the fun in it all. She might have tried teasing harder, had she not first been distracted by how good her food smelled, and then secondly, by the texts from Charlie that she was just seeing. It looked like the most recent one had only been sent a minute ago, so she was glad that she hadn't kept her outside waiting too long, especially if what she said was true, and one of Adrien's friends was out there too. "Charlie's here. Let me go get her. There should be beer in the fridge, and probably some of those sugary-as-fuck Mike's Hards that Juliette drinks, and all of the liquor is in the cabinet. Help yourself," she said to Dani, though she hoped her friend knew to help herself regardless.

With that said, she headed back to the door, and opened it to find Charlotte #2, Jasper, and in the distance, a blonde guy that Charlotte recognized as another one of Adrien's friends, Nick. "Adrien is in the kitchen," she said to the guys, not feeling inclined to say much more, since they were Adrien's friends and not hers, after all. Charlie, however, received a bit of a warmer response, as her presence elicited a smile out of Charlotte. "Glad you made it," she said, as she decided to continue her teasing of Dani, even if the girl wasn't present to hear it. "Robo-girl is in the kitchen already. Apparently she wants to fuck pretty boy Bronson, and I think you're the only one who'll be able to talk her out of it."

"Really, Char? I'm kind of having a bro sorta pregame in here," Adrien complained, though it was done only half-heartedly as Charlotte came in with her friend Danielle. Adrien knew her on a surface level, mostly through her relationship with his sister, and she was a nice enough girl that he made sure that it was clear in his smirk that he wasn't truly being unwelcoming. Bickering was just the typical sibling thing to do. Adrien wasn't going to waste a chance at complaining about something his sister did. It only took being in the same room as Charlotte for a minute to notice (if not smell) that she was high, but he didn't comment on it. Even their parents knew that Charlotte smoked, though Adrien knew that that didn't mean that they were comfortable or approving of it. Sometimes he wondered if Charlotte actually enjoyed smoking, or if she purposely did it to piss their parents off, because something like that wasn't above the rebellious Arnault. "Not gonna act like I know you or anything, but Bronson doesn't seem like your type, so I'm gonna assume she was lying about that?" Adrien asked, amid opening up one of Charlotte's food containers labeled "pupusas" and pulling one out. His sister had clearly ordered more than she needed, so he didn't feel bad about helping himself.

He looked to Finn then, smirking as he admitted, "I don't know how either of my sisters have friends." At the same time, the friends that both Juliette and Charlotte had separately made sense. Juliette's friends were very into their social image, and living in luxury, and just being popular and cool and living that lifestyle in general. Charlotte's, on the other hand, didn't really value any of those things. They had quirks of their own, which was why Adrien didn't know someone like Danielle outside of his sister, and which was also probably why they could put up with Charlotte's sarcastically witty and sometimes coldly blunt personality. He liked to think that his sisters' friends groups fell on separate ends of the social spectrum behavior wise, and though it probably wasn't true, that his fell right in the middle, in the "perfectly balanced" territory. He slid a container of food towards Finn, but the blonde slid it back, saying, "No thanks, man. My mom made spaghetti and forced it down my throat before I could get out the door. Besides, doesn't Ace usually order a ton of food anyway?" He felt compelled to say more to Danielle, who now sat with them alone since Charlotte had left to answer the door, but he didn't know her well enough to know what to say. Adrien didn't seem bothered by it, though, nodding in response to Finn as he said, "Yeah, he does. You can never have too much food though. Then again, as the dude who always drinks himself into getting sick, maybe not having a stomach full of shit to throw up will be good for you. Pretty sure that's a turn off, am I right?" he said, glancing over at Danielle as he was sure Finn's face turned a bright shade of red. He managed to toss back a "Fuck you, dude," but yeah, he was definitely embarrassed.

Soon enough, the sound of people entering the house redirected Adrien's attention from the duo sitting beside him. "Cameron, Van Veenan: get your bitch asses in here!" he called out at the sound of their voices.

Nick started jogging once his text to Finn was sent. A lot of his jock friends with juniors or sophomores - younger than him - but he didn't mind. Although Nick would admit that gradually, during his time at Buckley, the cliques have started to influence his decisions (just slightly though), Nick rarely let cliques or age gaps prevent him from making friends. It was something someone either loved or hated about him. But even though Nick thought the high school cliques were childish, he could feel them slowly growing on him, despite his ideals.

Despite all his good friendships, Nick had always felt like they weren't...deep enough for a true best friend. Sure, he wasn't going to lie, he would have any of his friends' backs and vice versa, but Nick never had a friend he trusted enough to tell about his entire past. And Nick's past was as dramatic as hell. Well, his dad was, at the least.

Finally, the sight of the Arnault residence pulled Nick out of his thoughts. Despite being quite wealthy now, the homes of rich people - including himself - never failed to amaze Nick. He was never going to get used to them.

Nick rang the doorbell, and before he knew it, a certain Arnault answered the door. "'Sup, Charlotte," he greeted, flashing her a smile before heading towards the kitchen.

Adrien had apparently heard him come in - after all, you didn't need superhuman hearing to notice - and yelled out, "Cameron, Van Veenen: get your bitch asses in here!"

Nick never really liked his surname. Out of all things, Van Veenen? There were many similar, yet much better options. For instance, how about Von Brandt? Van Buren? The sound of his surname was far from Nick's biggest problem with it, though. It was his father's surname. Nick had no idea why his mother kept it after Matthew Van Veenen was sent to prison. Nick's mother never informed him of her maiden name, but he was sure it was better than Van Veenen.

Nick walked into the room where Finn and Adrien were and clapped them on the backs. "Hey hey, guys," he greeted. "Don't know if you noticed, but Cameron's not here yet." Nick noticed Danielle, and nodded towards her in acknowledgement. "Hey." Nick wasn't going to lie, he wasn't best friends with the robotics girl. But he tried to be nice.

As Charlotte started pulling food out of the bag, Danielle stared curiously into the boxes. She didn't immediately recognise the food, but it smelled fantastic, and she soon claimed one of them as her own, poking a fork cautiously into it. She just rolled her eyes at the comment about getting some one-on-one time with Ace, not even dignifying it with more of a reaction than that. When Charlotte informed her where the alcohol was, she nodded and stood up immediately to grab herself a beer.

She raised an eyebrow as Adrien asked if Charlotte was being serious. "What gave it away?" She asked lightly, taking a sip out of her beer, before smirking at Adrien's comment about his sisters having friends. Honestly, she was sure that people wondered the exact same thing about her. And actually, about most of the rebels. But that was why they were all friends.

She looked up as Adrien glanced over at her. "No, throwing up all over somebody else's house really is the sexiest thing a guy can do," she replied, letting her voice drip with sarcasm. "Or, at least, that's what some guys genuinely seem to think. I don't want anyone within a six foot radius of me if they've thrown up in the past hour. I like these shoes too much to risk ruining them," she added, grinning.

Somebody else came in, and Danielle looked up, nodding to Nick. She didn't exactly know him, but she was at least going to be civil to him. She shoved another forkful of food into her mouth, then grabbed her beer and stood up. "I better go out and make sure your sister isn't spreading too many lies," she remarked, heading out towards the two Charlottes.

In reality, Danielle just wanted to face the inevitable. Charlie was a source of conflict for Danielle, and just sitting in the kitchen, trying not to think about her, wasn't helping. She wasn't coming up with any ways to avoid it, so it was better to just face it. It was hard enough crushing on one of your best friends, but when Danielle was still in the closet, it just made it harder. She brushed herself down, tugged on the end of her skirt, and headed out to the front door.

"Hey, Charlie," she called.

At some point, Luke had lost Camila, Cydnee and Juliette - not that it was too much of a surprise. Royals just didn't show up to parties with Wannabes, which was fine. He wasn't salty, not at all. Plus, Aaliyah hadn't even been with them when they arrived, remarking that her niece had not been really asleep when Aaliyah had set her in her room. And considering the fact that Aaliyah never really ever, as far as Luke was concerned, didn't leave the house without checking in on the toddler, it made sense that she didn't want to leave when the girl obviously knew that she was still in the house. So, she was just going to get Malcolm to bring her after she made sure that the young girl had something on her stomach that wasn't a snack and was comfortable in her room. It didn't even occur to Lucas to even question it at the time because the tequila sunrise, combined with a shot or three - who's really counting - of the vodka Malcolm had brought, made him giddy for the night ahead of them. So, so what if the Royals promptly ditched him considering the fact that their queen wasn't present to force them to humor him? He didn't need them.

He totally did. Screw whatever his bitter tipsy side said.

Nevertheless, when it hit eight o'clock, Luke was having a pretty good time grinding against this scrumptious looking Animal. It wasn't his scrumptious, super mysterious for no damn reason but obviously in the best way Animal, sure, but Roman wasn't even his to begin with, let alone to be thinking about when he had hot, semi-sweaty male behind him. Buckley may not have been the most...open about a lot of things, especially sexuality, but house parties like these were where there really weren't no rules. You could do what you wanted with who you wanted. Granted, depending on who you were, you would probably want to keep a bit quiet if you were caught with a person far below you on the hierarchy, but again it was a party. Shit happened at a party. Not many took the time to judge at a party. And Luke was taking advantage, sucking down the contents of the wine cooler bottle like it was nothing but water. To him, it was considering it was pretty much a flavored beer and not at all as biting as something like vodka or tequila, but definitely enough alcohol to make him feel A-ok with everything. Including texting Rhapsody.

"Ok, but where do you wanna go next?" Genneya asked after stealing a handful from the fry basket on their table. By the time eight o'clock had come, she was starving, but had been in the middle of girls vs. boys skyscraper rope course race that she just had to give her all to because she would be darned if Louis thought for a second that the boys were going to win. Granted, she did love her some Chris, but he ultimately was grouped in with the rest of them and was the enemy at the time. Sadly enough, it was a tie that Genneya swore they were going to broke, but she was a part of their group that had wanted to go back to their tables and get their grub on. Her mom had rented the whole place out for the evening, leaving the lower school division to do as they pleased. So, Gigi hadn't even hesitated or felt the least bit ashamed when she grabbed three slices of the meat lover's pizza, a basket of lightly salted french fries that she totally was going to share with whomever she was sitting with - which happened to be Chris and a few other classmates - and a strawberry crush that had just been refilled.

She dipped a fry into what used to be Chris' large dollop of ketchup, but it was currently more of a puddle of tomato-y goodness that she was going to steal since their table didn't have a ketchup bottle and she didn't feel like calling to someone to bring her one or ask for the direction the one they had been using went. Besides, friends didn't let friends go without ketchup. There was a handbook and everyone needed to read it. After a few chews, she continued, "We could do the laser maze or the arcade...pretty sure I'm gonna kick your butt anyway, but I figured I'd let you decide which one you wanted to lose to me in."Grinning at her own audacity, Genneya playfully captured the straw from her cup between her lips, sucking the sweet carbonated beverage up to chase the salty fried goodness she honestly had an addiction to.

As Sam expected, Jenna was able to find him in a heartbeat, hardly giving him any time to read or even respond to her message. And it comes as no surprise to him that she quickly catches on to there having been something before she arrived. That something not being serious in any sense, but enough to get his heartrate running wild and his cheeks ablaze. "Nothing!" he assures a bit too excitedly. Sammy has always been a terribly liar, that he's well aware of. However, there's no point in bridging back past dues. The nameless girl that had been at the start of it all had no disappeared and he probably should too.

"Help me find Jazz" he quickly adds, not giving her any chance to retort, before taking hold of her hand and pulling her away from a small crowd and near another. It's not unusual for accidents, arguments and broken bones to happen at these kinds of parties, but that doesn't keep the terrified look from Samuel's features when he catches eyes and ears of what's going on closer to the entrance. One tall, handsome and undeniably terrifying Roman Eliades stands at the center of the scene. Sam's eyes zero in on a familiar face standing a few feet behind him and his frown deepends significantly.

Sam and Luke cannot be referred to as the closest of friends seeing as they run in different circles, different grades and know one another by pure coincidences, most of which were brought on by Jasmine, but they're friends regardless. Which is why Samuel can't hide the terrified concern for seeing Luke be involved in something like this.

But having come in probably at the climax of it all, Sam sees the rumble simmer down and Luke , followed by Roman, escort themselves outside. He doesn't hesitate to send a concerned text in Luke's direction before turning his full attention back to Jenna who, for the most part, is probably unphased.

Regardless of what you may think, Jasmine is not drunk. She's a good girl, a good girl indeed. There's no part of her that wants to be wasted beyond belief and end up in some random guy's bed. Or what's worse, the back of his car. No, Jazz is not drunk, she's merely friendlier than normal. Which is why, for the first time in a long time, her smile widens upon seeing Nick over by the bar. It's no secret Jasmine doesn't particularly like the guy, but what is a secret is the fact that what she really doesn't like is what she feels towards him. But ask as many times as you may, Jasmine does not have any form of crush on the jock.

'Nicky-nick!" her spirits are high, but her words are not slurred. Not even a little. "Well don't you look dapper tonight" one tilt of the head tells Jasmine of the possibility of reuniting with Cydnee and Cat, who are standing just a few feet away, but a commotion from behind her interrupts any intentions she had of doing so. Her head turns in the direction of the noise, but she's nowhere near enough to see or hear what is going on. She does know that there's trouble and that's enough of a warning for her. Her not by any means drunken state is still able to filter out the possibility of Sam being involved in or near the trouble. But her worries soon evaporate the moment her brother's face, along with Jenna's comes into view.

"Sammy" her relief pushes her off the bar seat to throw her arms around him in a relieved fashion. Even in the happy bliss she is currently experiencing, she can't overlook the fear in the pit of her stomach that something might have happened to Sam, which would have been her fault considering she all but dragged him here. "What's going on?" she inquires, her eyes pointing in the direction of the noise she had just heard.

"Nothing!" Sam responded all too quickly to Jenna's short and mild interrogation. The blue-eyed brunette narrowed her eyes, obviously not believing it. Sam had always been an absolutely horrible liar. But given his flushed cheeks, it was probably just a girl thing that happened. Nothing too serious, but Jenna wanted to know precisely what happened. She was that type of person.

Unfortunately, before Jenna could corner her friend and force the words out of him, he quickly added a plea to his miserable attempt of lying. "Help me find Jazz?" Before Jenna could respond, Sam quickly grabbed her hand as he pulled her away from a small crowd and near another. At these types of parties, it wasn't unusual for arguments, accidents, or even bone breaking to take place. Jenna knew that Sam was well aware of the fact, but that clearly didn't prevent a terrified expression appearing on his features. While he seemed frightened at the scene before them, Jenna glanced indifferently at Roman Eliades, clearly unimpressed. She and Sam were different in many, many ways. While Sam was the type of person who'd get a bit frightened from the commotion in front of the two of them, Jenna was almost always unfazed.

Jenna saw Sam's eyes zero in on a different face as the dark-eyed sophomore's frown deepened significantly. Ah, Luke. It was slightly hard for Jenna to believe that the two of them were actually friends, but then again, Sam would be Sam and Luke would be Luke. Sam, being the ever-so-innocent little angel, was clearly disgruntled when he saw that Luke was involved in the commotion.

The rumble of noise simmered down as Roman and Luke escorted themselves outside. Sam pulled out his phone - probably texting Luke, after all, he was his friend - before directing his full attention to Jenna.

On the other side of the party, Nick was sitting at the bar. He was definitely a beer person, and wasn't a lightweight at all. He chugged his beer, before setting the now-empty bottle down. He was still sober, which was a good thing, but a bit more beer and he'd start wandering in the world of drunkenness.

Nick wasn't going to lie, he was slightly surprised when Jasmine - very cheerily - called out to him. "Nicky-nick!" Nick raised an eyebrow and turned to the petite blonde. If her words weren't perfectly clear, he would've deemed her drunk. "Well, don't you look dapper tonight!"

Nick furrowed his brow. To be honest, he was the slightest bit weirded out. Sure, he knew Jazz was the bold, confident one out of the two Kim siblings, but this was a bit strange. "Thanks," Nick responded, keeping his cool. He half-smiled at Jazz. "You don't look too bad yourself."

Nick instantly thought that he sounded like he was flirting with the blonde. Sure, he may have the tiniest crush on her, but he wasn't going to become her boyfriend anytime soon. Despite that, Nick didn't take back anything he said. In his point of view, he was just being friendly. In a completely normal friend way.

The two of them heard a commotion, and turned to the direction of the noise. Neither of them were close enough to hear or see anything particularly dramatic. Nick shrugged to himself before turning to the bartender, choosing to order a water.

"Sammy," Jazz pushed herself off the bar seat as soon as she saw her brother and Jenna, throwing her arms around the former. She pulled back. "What's going on?" she inquired, gazing at both Sam and Jenna for answers.

Jenna shrugged in somewhat of a nonchalant manner. "From the gossip that's already spreading," she started. "Eliades and Mike - is that his name - got into a fight. Luke's semi-involved. It's over now."

Despite Jasmine's hazy understanding of the events going on around her, she was sober enough to realize that what Jenna had just said was unlikely. For a second she remained silent, eyes focused on the brunette as if asking her to repeat it again. Her gaze then flickered to Sam, who in turn nodded in assurance to what the girl had just said. Her eyebrows reacted first, quickly disappearing into her well-kept bangs. Luke may be many things, but Jasmine knows he's not a trouble maker.

"what was Luke doing in the middle of all that?" she questioned, eyebrow cocked in curiosity, her eyes flickered more towards Sam since he seemed to be the closest to the wannabe out of anyone there. A subtle shrug was returned to her as her brother glanced back in the direction of the scene.

"I don't know...we only saw the end of everything and then he and Roman left." he almost mumbled, checking his phone once to see that there had yet to be a reply to the text he had sent Luke. Sammy may not be the closest friend to the wannabe, but they are friends nonetheless, and close enough to where Sam would avidly worry about his well being. Because as trusting and naΓ―ve as he is, even he knows Roman Eliades spells TROUBLE in all its capital letters. The last thing he wants is to see someone he cares for go through the kind of heartbreak he has faced before. Granted, Luke can fend for himself much better than Sam ever could, but that doesn't mean he is bulletproof.

Jasmine doesn't fail to catch on to her brother's subtle shift of expression and decides that a change of scenery could do him some good. "Don't worry too much, Sammy, I'm sure he's fine" she chimes in, shoving her own worries to the back of her mind. "Luke is more fierce than Jenna and I combined." she jokes, throwing the girl a playful look as her hand links with Sam's. "What you should be worrying about is making sure you don't end up snatched again." her teasing earned her the desired effect; an adorable pout and pink tinted cheeks from one flustered Sam.

With a giggle, she gestured towards the back door as she suggested they go outside and get some fresh air, not forgetting to invite Jenna, and even Nick, to come along. The smell of the outdoors would be a nice change for the both of them. One step out the back door and the difference in atmosphere could already be noted. Not that it saved Samuel the suggestive looks. In complete disregard to his misery, Jasmine appeared to be proud of what she had created. Her eyes scanned the area until they landed upon a familiar face. Rhapsody seemed to be fairly unoccupied, and surprisingly not accompanied by the usual chizled jawline.

"I don't understand how it is that you look prettier and prettier every time I see you." is Jasmine's greeting directed at the taller girl. Her eyes flicker around for a millisecond, wondering if maybe Derek has already heard about the night's event and has ran off to find his baby brother. Not that Jasmine would blame him. Were it Sam in Luke's position, she would have done the same and then some.

Tipsy, not drunk. That is what Camila continued to repeat in her head, despite being assured by a few people she had talked to since Aliyah left that she appeared to be happier than usual and utterly confused. Perhaps she was, but that didn't necessarily mean she was drunk. She lazily waved goodbye to Riley as the prep left the confines of the kitchen, and once again, Cami was alone.

Were it a normal, she wouldn't particularly mind, but somewhere between all the tequila shots and sugary drinks, her common sense had mixed in with irrational thoughts and emotions and what she was feeling like Juliette on her sober days. She glanced down at her cup for a moment, contemplating whether she should go all out and just continued to refill her cup until she either lost consciousness or ended up in someone's bed. All the self-assurance about not needing anyone to love had been forcefully thrown out the rhetorical window. Being so caught up in her thoughts, it took her several seconds to realize it was Ari that was now beside her, asking about Riley. Letting out a soft huff, her head slouched over, gently landing on Arizona's shoulder. Her brown orbs stared straight ahead at the kitchen entrance. "Jus' missed 'er. I dunno where she went"

To Camila, her words were delivered as they should be, but if Ari were to tell her that her speech was slurred or that she couldn't quite understand what was coming out of her mouth, she certainly wouldn't be the first one to do so. It's incredibly hard to assure others that you are in face not drunk when you can't so much as even form proper sentences. There's no denying that the fiery liquid running through her veins is taking a good grip on her sanity. "Are you gonna leave me 'gain to find 'er?". She really hadn't meant for the question to sound like a plea, but at this point Cami was tipsy enough to openly admit that she did not want to be alone.

Jazz's eyes focused on the blue-eyed brunette, silent. Jenna said nothing to change her declaration, shrugging at Jazz's inquiring eyes. Luke wasn't exactly the quiet goody two-shoes, but he was never one to get into the trouble Roman Eliades got into. While Jenna and Luke weren't particularly close, the former knew that the two Kim siblings were friends with Derek's little brother. The blonde then turned to her brother, who nodded, confirming Jenna's statement. Jazz's eyebrows quirked up, clearly concerned.

"What was Luke doing in the middle of all that?" Jazz inquired, genuinely curious, her eyes flickering to Sam. Out of everyone there, he seemed to know Luke best. The pair may seem like unlikely friends, but to be honest, unlikely friends was kind of Sam's thing. After all, no one truly expected Sam and Jenna's friendship, but it definitely worked out. Sam simply shrugged in response to his sister's question, glancing back in the direction of the scene.

"I don't know," Sam mumbled, glancing back down at his phone. He was most likely checking for a response to the text message he presumably sent Luke earlier that night. "We only saw the end of everything and then he and Roman left."

Both Jenna and Jazz caught the subtle shift in Sam's expression. The latter tried to help out immediately. "Don't worry too much, Sammy," The blonde chimed in cheerily. "I'm sure he's fine.". Jazz continued on with her somewhat cheerful ramble, clearly attempting to give her little brother a change of scenery. "Luke is more fierce than Jenna and I combined." she joked, throwing Jenna a playful look as she grasped her brother's hand.

"I'm insulted," Jenna gasped dramatically, putting a hand on her heart in a joking manner. "But seriously Sammy, anyone fiercer than even one of us," Jenna referred to herself and Jazz, "can handle himself, no problem." The brunette smiled at her artist friend, attempting to ease his worries. She was never the sensitive one of the two, but Sam was one of her best friends, and she wanted to help. Jenna was known for her rather harsh nature, but didn't put too much effort into treading lightly with Sam, mainly because she knew her friend was quite used to her bluntness. Sam knew Jenna meant no harm.

"What you should be worrying about," Jazz continued, in a teasing tone, "is making sure you don't end up snatched again." Jenna swore she saw a hint of a mischievous smile.

Sam's cheeks flushed at his sister's teasing, and Jenna laughed. Jazz gestured to the back door, inviting Jenna, and even Nick, who was downing a shot of beer, for some fresh air. Nick had a slightly surprised look on his face, but started moving with little hesitation.

"Well," he started, grinning, setting his glass down. "Getting drunk isn't ideal." He slid out of his seat.

"Why aren't you hanging out with your little gang of jocks, Nicky?" Jenna questioned, her tone slightly teasing. Hey, they were friends. Sure, Jenna wasn't as close with Nick as she was with Sam, but they were on good terms. The light-haired jock raised a brow at the nickname, but let it slide.

"To be honest," he started, "I have no fucking idea what the hell they're doing right now." Nick shrugged. "Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, they're probably just doing their own thing. We're not exactly a giggling group of Royals." Nick's tone as he said the last part showed that what he said wasn't meant to be offensive.

Jenna shrugged. "Good enough for me."

Jasmine's smile morphed into a quirked brow at Rhapsody's response to her compliment. No one in their right mind could deny that Rhaps was a beautiful girl, though she seemed to have the same complex as Sam. Not realizing how genuinely attractive they are, both inside and out. She let a soft sigh escape her lips as she accepted the compliment boomeranged towards her with a soft "Thank you". but made sue to quickly ass "But you look even better and don't even try to fight me on that!" a sassy finger is lifted towards her to reaffirm her point.

Her question about Sam brings Jasmine to take in her surroundings, realizing he had stayed a few steps behind with Nick and Jenna. She nods in response and gestures towards an incoming Samuel with a proud smile. "How can he not have fun when he's looking like that?" she knows it's a bit of a stretch to say that considering how obvious its been that Sam is feeling overwhelmed by all the attention he's been getting all afternoon, but she also knows him well enough to know that after all its said and done, a very microscopic part of him enjoys it. "Guys and gals have been swarming like bees to honey." It may be one of the very rare occasions in which Jazz is able to do something like this for her brother, so might as well milk it as much as possibility allows.

The familiar baritone voice brings Jasmine from her thoughts and her line of vision lands on a mildly worried Derek. Her first instinct is to assume that he's heard about what happened with Luke, but second guessing brings her to think that he is acting much too calm for that. Surely enough, he asks about Rhapsody's brother instead, only pausing a moment before turning his attention on the petite blonde. Jasmine is well aware she is below average height, but standing so close a tower-height couple makes her feel a bit dwarf-like. Her smile in response to his greeting immediately deflates when he questions her on Luke's whereabouts. She listens attentively, all the while desperately wracking her brain for a descent response. Clearly no one has informed him on what happened, and Jasmine has no right to do so. Even if he is asking her directly, she's not one to be the bearer of bad news.

"I actually haven't seen him all night." Technically, it isn't a lie. She hasn't seen or talked to the little fireball at all during the course of the day. "I'm sure he's doing fine." that too was not a lie, though maybe a bending of truth. Jasmine can't be one hundred percent certain that he is okay, but she can sure as hell hope so.

Her eyes immediately land on Sammy as he walks up to the small trio, gaze pleading for him not to say a word about Luke. Though Sam has never been the one to spill any kind of beans either. The dark haired boy offers a genuine smile towards Rhapsody and Derek shifting slightly on his heels to prevent the thin fabric of his jeans from tugging at uncharted territory. "Hey" his voice is as soft as usual, though loud enough to be heard over the music. Albeit a bit delayed, but he does take note of the atmosphere, as well as Jasmine's silent warning, and keeps his mouth shut. He won't be the one to ruin the party for Derek.

Jenna and Nick watched as Jasmine conversed with Rhapsody and Derek. Jenna liked Rhaps; she was nice. The two girls had many similarities, despite their age difference - for one, they were both artists. Both of them were also quite intelligent. They shared some personality traits, although Jenna thought that Rhaps was too humble for her own good. And Nick was and is - somewhat - bros with Derek. Even though Derek was technically no longer a jock, Nick saw no reason in not being friends with him.

Although his sister was quite openly talking to Derek and Rhapsody, Sam had stayed back with Nick and Jenna. "Come on, Sammy," Jenna chided, swinging an arm around Nick's shoulders. "Go chat with them. They're probably gossiping about you already anyways.

"No need to stick around with loners like us," Nick joked, flashing the younger boy a genuine smile.

As if on cue, Jasmine gestured towards Sam as he started walking towards the group. "Guys and gals have been swarming like bees to honey," Jazz stated mischievously.

While Sam, Jazz, Rhapsody, and Derek talked, Nick felt his phone ring. He frowned slightly as he noticed the number. His uncle never called him unless it was Sunday morning or afternoon. He turned to Jenna.

"Gotta take this," he explained. Jenna gestured for him to do so.

"I'm a big girl," she said, "I can take care of myself." Nick flashed her a thumbs-up, before heading outside to answer his call.

Jenna approached the group of four as Nick left to answer his phone call. She approached just as Derek had asked, "Hey, Jasmine. Sorry to interrupt, but you seen Luke? Haven't seen him since he left the house earlier and I usually at least get a drunk text about how much he's gonna disown me for whatever I wore for the day. Haven't got it yet."

Jenna and Jazz were thinking the same thing; clearly, Derek hadn't heard about the Luke and Roman scandal. Jasmine formulated a decent response.

"I actually haven't seen him all night," Jazz replied smoothly. Technically, Jenn figured, the statement wasn't a lie. "I'm sure he's doing fine."

Jasmine might do things for the faint of heart, but Jenna didn't. She was blunt by nature. She opened her mouth to tell Derek about what Luke was up to - she had no problem being the bearer of bad news, at least she was being honest and giving him the information he wanted - but at the sight of Sam's pleading eyes, the blue-eyed brunette veered off-course. Like Jasmine, Jenna quickly formulated a response to send Derek's way.

"Sorry for crashing your group talk," she apologized almost lamely, biding her time to come up with something, "but to answer your question, Derek - I know it wasn't directed towards me - I haven't seen Luke very recently. But I agree with Jazz, he's probably fine."

Unlike Jasmine's response, there was a direct lie in Jenna's, but then again, "dishonest" was one of her personality traits.
