Nickname:
Light
Age:
18
Gender:
Male
Appearance:
Licht, Takeshi's in-game avatar, appears as a young blue-headed man. His hair isn't too long, but reaches down enough to graze his cheeks. He has eye that match his hair, and no visible scars. Licht has a pale skin tone and an athletic build, the latter of which cannot usually be seen because of the equipment he wears.
Upon first glance, many notice that he wears a long trench coat that spans the entirety of his height, and a uniform under it with long sleeves, thereby preventing anyone from seeing his character's skin, save for his face. The coat is a navy blue with black markings spanning across his shoulders and some running down the middle of the coat. Golden borders outline the end of the sleeves and along the path where it would open, and there are a few visible accessories on the elbow that hang freely. Gloves of the same color as the coat cover his hands and finally, his sword is very unique and eye-catching due to its bright blue glow. It seems to be made out of light, save for (and you can't tell until he is out of a fight) the hilt which is a simple-looking dagger.
Nickname:
Doesn't have one.
Age:
18
Gender:
Male
Appearance:
Takeshi comes off as a pretty handsome young man, which would contradict one's expections when meeting him on an online game. His hair is a golden color of similar length to his avatar's, and a pair of blue orbs that make his eyes to match. He is of average height, never standing too far above or too far under any one person, and he has the same build as his avatar as well.
When it comes to clothing, he varies. Or did. Within these past few months, he has not been changing too often and could be seen wearing a short-sleeved shirt and a pair of shorts to finish it. Aside from that, he doesn't really stand out in a crowd through appearance alone.
Personality
Many people will find that Licht can be really outgoing and humorous, even after a certain event trapped him inside this game. With a cocky smirk and his trademark chuckle, he takes things head on without a fear in the world. This attitude never really changes even in a battle, and by listening to him as a spectator, many form the opinion that he values himself highly by the way he boasts and taunts his foes. Even still, you can find he does not neglect teammates in need and will provide a distraction if a battle isn't going their way. Just expect him to tease you a bit afterwords.
There is a change between Licht and Takeshi's personality. This was not the case a small time ago, however, and has only recently been developed. Takeshi is, to new people, shy. It takes him a while to open up. He is not incredibly such, but when introducing himself, he finds his confidence sorely lacking unlike a certain avatar of his. But such is the effect of his depression. Doubting life and himself, he can't get started as quickly as he had once done, and this usually turns off any possible friends as of late. Don't mistake - Takeshi at-heart is still the same person as his avatar - that warm, cocky character - but it often times takes weeks or months after meeting someone to get to that point. Even then, there's still times when he suddenly doesn't want to talk or interact and instead hang out in his room - because he can't get over his disability. There's often a lot going on in his head, but because it isn't positive, it oftentimes never leaves his lips.
Background
A superstar. That's all he ever wanted to be. As a kid growing up, Takeshi was always the most active. First one awake, last one to sleep, and always the most energetic. He grew up outlasing the other kids and making sure to always succeed and strive towards this goal. He wanted to grow up and become a famous....anything, really. He was good at all kinds of sports, ranging from baseball to tennis, and would excel like no other.
Until he was aged 15, that is.
It was a slow decline, and at first, he thought he just wasn't playing sports often enough. But slowly he began to lose stamina, and his heart would almost hurt every time he was left breathless on the fields. He would train harder, try for more and difficult games, but in the end, he would always run out of breath and need long breaks to do anything. It was when he collapsed at the age of 17 that he was diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis, a heart condition.
"No."
He simply said to the doctor in response as those dreaded words came from his lips. He would deny such a thing, for it would only impede his goal of becoming a star. But you can't deny physical health conditions. You can't wish them away and have it come true. Caught somewhere along the line of accept and denial, Takeshi quit any sports (because at this point, he couldn't run even a quarter of the distance he could before) and hid away in his room. And then he found a way to solve all of his problem - a way to make him run, jump and do everything he wanted and more. He had a new goal which was to become a star in this game, and after a few months, he would soon start towards that goal by felling creatures by himself that would take parties to defeat. He didn't ever have a problem with being leveled, since he had all the time in the world.
It was such an addicting escape from reality, one that might cost him his life. But in his mind, a world where he couldn't even kick a ball without passing out was no life at all.
