Introduction
It came unexpectedly. One mistake, that's all it took and our world turned into a living hell. It wasn't noticed at first. The government hid it from us. They said that they were just cannibal attacks. But some people were smart and they knew what was really happening, most of those people are still alive today. You may think that it'd be easy to get rid of the infection.Just kill the carrier, the first one with it. Well it's not the infection spread like wildfire. One bite and you were done for. Now it's two years later and there are a few survivors spread across the world. This role play however is focused in Denver, Colorado.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 8 authors
Kayla smiled softly. She slowly walked back to the group, scratching her head lightly. She looked over to Ashley, her eyes somewhat saying she was sorry.
She turned her attention to Tyler. "Like I told you before, the whole top two floors are just infested with them." She smiled softly.
She snatched the pack of gum from Al's back pocket and popped a piece into her mouth, tossing the pack back to him.
Looks like I struck a nerve there, hm?
Kayla sighed and hid her eyes under hair. This is how she hid when she was younger, so one could see the guilt in her eyes... She clenched her fists softly, making a small pop with her gum. Before long she grabbed Ashley by the arm, but extremely gently. Her face still hidden. She pulled her until they were a good ways into the parking garage. "I-I'm sorry...." Her voice was distant, yet again. "I... Just didn't like.... How you just... came up to our group... and acted like you were... the boss..."
What?
Ashley heard something behind her and turned around. She seen a herd of zombies meters away and turned to face Kayla.Hey, I wasn't intentionally being bossy. But I am a leader, not a follower. And you didn't have to threaten me just because I'm a bitch! Yes, I just called myself a bitch, I'm not afraid to admit that.
You know what? Hold that thought, we have to bolt.
Ashley let go of Kayla's arm and picked up her back pack.We should probably go now.
There aren't many deadies, but there are definitely enough to make some noise.
She mulled over Tyler's idea in her head. It wasn't so bad, really. If she took the truck, she could just drive it back to where her own vehicle was, which would be a lot quicker than walking and help make up for the time she'd lost already. Then she could either have the option to keep with the truck and move the supplies from her car into there, or she could transfer the gas from the truck into her car and keep using her car.
Then Alviss chimed in and came up with an idea of his own. It sounded like a pretty good plan to Trinity, not only would she be able to have a safe place to stay for the night once all the undead were cleared out, but she'd get a chance to show this group she wasn't completely incompetent. But she was still hated the thought of her car, her supplies, lying out in the open road, just waiting to be snatched up by some bandito. She opened her mouth to speak, when Kayla suddenly started yelling. She was shocked as she heard Kayla give the blonde a piece of her mind. Not that she didn't believe Kayla's outburst was completely justified, because in her opinion, it was, but she didn't think Kayla seemed like the type. She gave off the impression of being so meek and soft-spoken.
She stood there quietly, waiting, impatience written all over her face. Finally, Alviss asked the group if they agreed with his proposal. Everyone seemed to agree with the idea. When Kayla pulled the blonde away from the group to talk with her privately, Trinity spoke to Alviss, "Look, this is a great idea, don't get me wrong, but in case you couldn't tell... I'm a little uneasy about my car being left out in the open, just begging to be looted. All my clothes, supplies are in there... I just need the gas to drive my car back here, where it's safer from raiders," she took a deep breath, then continued, "And I can make it up to you. I have a decent amount of ammo and food stockpiled in my trunk. Not much, but significant enough. I can give some in return for your group letting me use your gas... and for giving me a place to stay the night, once those things are cleared out anyways. Sound fair?" she looked back at him intently as she awaited a response.
Alviss pulled out his keys taking off the one for the padlock, chain and Churchill. He handed the rest of the keys to kayla "I'll be back soon," he siad softly.
"Come on," he said to Trinity showing her to the Churchill. He unlocked her door then went to the driver side and got in.
It was weird how he was able to take people so easily. He thought he would have had a harder time after only speaking to Kayla for the last two years.
She snapped back into reality. She smiled, looking back over to Ashley. She looked down with guilt and sighed.

"I just realized, I haven't even introduced myself, have I?" she shook her head to herself as she leaned back against her seat, and gazed out her window, "Well, I'm Trinity. And, uh, sorry if we got off on the wrong foot. You just can never be too careful with people these days." she glanced over at Alviss again, "We should probably get going. Just head east of here for a bit, like four minutes maybe, and then turn right onto Pennsylvania street, and then it's the second left after that." she nodded and shuffled in her seat, and exhaled as she returned her faze to her window, nervous for what might await them when they arrived.
Alviss grabbed his broom stick he had put in the back seat and stepped out of the car. He took a few steps then suddenly a Zombie came sprinting from the alley way right at him. Alviss simply stood his ground till the Zombie was in range of his broom. Al sent the pointy end right into the Zombies mouth, piercing up through its brain. Then he kicked the Zombie off his broom.
"Let's do the as quick as possible," he said pulling the gas can out of the back seat.
"Which car is yours?" he asked Trinity. There were only three where they were, but it wasn't like he was psychic.
Alviss looked all around himself worried for any more runners. They weren't the most common since most Zombies walked slowly, but one could never be too careful.
Kaylasmiled to everyone left in the group. Since they weren't really in the parking garage, more out on the street than anything, Kayla eyed a feral zombie, They could sprint faster than runners and are extremely powerful. Kayla only smiled to the rest of the group, pulling out her pistol and gripping the handle steadily, aiming down the street, she shot, watching the feral fall to the ground. It was a good 500 feet away from them. "Don't want that thing endangering the place... How about we head inside? It's getting kind of chilly, and I should start cooking to have it done by the time Al and the new girl get back." She opened the door for the others and hit the button for the elevator. Once everyone was in she hit the button to the 4th floor. There were 12 in total. The 4th was one of the safest, it was tucked in the crevice of the hotel.
The hotel had three buildings to it. Two on the outside and one somewhat hidden between them. The one between is the perfect spot to hide from the dead. They can't climb that high and sound kind of reverberates from side to side, not letting it go very far.

The two of them emerged from the car and almost immediately afterwards, were faced with a zombie rushing towards them. Instinctively, she drew her pistol, but Al seemed to have it under control as he killed the zombie with a strike to the brain. She watched him finish it off, and when it seemed the danger had passed, she slid her gun back into it's holster.
"Lets do this as fast as possible." said Al, then asked which car was hers.
"Ah, that would be the rust bucket over there." she nodded towards an old, beaten up looking gold Camry. She took a few steps to her car and circled around to the drivers side and then her blood ran cold. The window was completely shattered.
"Shit!" she cursed out loud. There was no valuables in the main part of the car, only in the trunk, but there was a lever by the drivers seat that could open the trunk, even without keys. Trinity backed away from the drivers door and ran around to the back of the car. The trunk was cracked, and she threw it open. Everything, it was all gone.
"See?" she said, spinning around to face Al, "This is EXACTLY what I was afraid of." she turned back to the car and closed the trunk with an angry slam, sent an enraged kick into the back bumper, then turned around again and leaned back against the car as she clenched her fists. She stood there in silence for a few moments as she rubbed her hands against her face, trying to regain her composure. It wasn't long before she seemed to have calmed down.
"All that work over the past couple months making sure I had enough supplies to last a while. Yet I never even worried about making sure I wasn't about to run out of gas. Stupid, stupid, stupid..." she mumbled under her breath. She pushed herself away from the car, and went to stand beside Alviss with a sigh. She crossed her arms over her chest as she looked at the vehicle, "Guess it's not even worth the gas to bring it back to the hotel now, huh?" she asked, her voice suddenly calm.
"Well you can stay with me and Kay till we get some stuff sorted out for you. For now let's just get back to the hotel." said Alviss. Alviss went back to the Churchill. and slid into the Driver's seat.
When Trinity got back in Al said "It's probably better that we stalled you. If you would of gotten here quicker you may have run into raiders. That would have been unpleasant"
"I like to stay cheerful these days," said Alviss, then a sad look came across his face "I use to think I had nothing in my life. Then I had nothing, but now I know to be grateful for what I have,"
They arrived at the Hotel shortly. Alviss parked the Churchill and locked up the fence. No one was around they had probably headed upstairs.
"Well we better get to the others. They're probably upstairs," said Alviss heading to the elevator. He clicked the button waiting for it to arrive. When it arrived naturally he got in Trinity with him. The elevator music played in the background. It was incredible that the thing still worked so well. The hotel had it's own generator so power wasn't a problem. It also had a backup generator to that first generator.
"So where you from, Trinity?" asked Alviss.
Kayla and Alviss's semi-joint room was 4 and 5, all the others were empty of people. Kayla and the others were in the hallway.
"Hey, we're back," said Alviss to the others.
