APPEARANCE :

From the way Yvette often took her face in her hands as if feeling its lovely shape, the corners of her cheeks raising themselves as she smiles that jaw-dropping smile that everyone so loves, and her eyes, such beautiful blue eyes, like two- little twinkling diamonds. Most men find themselves lost at sea with such a distinct features; however, that is not the only thing that is notice from a beautiful young lady as Yvette Eloise Van Der Woodsen. Her face sad and lovely with high cheekbones; lips perfectly plumped to the lightest shade of pink, and hair chopped almost nonchalantly into golden ombré waves. Much, like a porcelain doll some might say. Of course she is not nearly as ravishing as your average first class maiden, but Yvette is a close second. Often times, men and women do not believe a women of excitement in her voice that men who had cared for her found difficult to forget; a singing compulsion, a whispered "listen," a promise that she has done happily, exciting things just a while since and that there were happily, exciting things hovering in the next hour. Although, Yvette is a slender, small-breasted girl, with an erect carriage, which she accentuated by throwing her body backward at the shoulders like a young cadet.

Artists love painting her, lonely men enjoy looking at her; women despised her for she was not what a all women were intended to be: classy. All women of this time were to poise themselves with elegance, and grace. Yvette does, occasionally; however, if she were not criticized by her misdemeanors and faults she will be signifying such a fierce women in men garments. Instead, she is often seen trying to fit in with the others wearing corsets, petticoats, evening dresses, and day dresses made from silk not nearly as fine as what the first and second class women own, but Yvette finds her own ways to make things work. All with a large straw hat piled with ostrich feathers, large ribbon bows, and flowers just to uncover the very feminine side of her that she so often holds dear.

LIKES :

Evie Woodsen has always been one to ensure equal rights for women. As she clearing states, she does not like men who are afraid of a women's strength. To put it simply, Yvette will strive to better her chances as a woman. Another thing that she holds dear is traveling. It is difficult for her to stay in one place far to long, either because she has spent most of her days as an orphan child, or she just likes to experience new possibilities; because if not now, when? Sometimes she often carries a map of the world around with her; she closes her eyes, and wherever her finger lands on the map she is never hesitant to purchase a one-way ticket to her temporary safe haven. In addition, Yvette has always been quite the fan of the Charlotte Brontë classics, such as Jane Eyre, Shirley, and Villette.

DISLIKES :

Abandonment. Yvette has never much liked the thought of being abandoned, in fact she holds a deep hatred for the word and this is coming from one who had been abandoned since she was just a young babe. Evie Woodsen is a women for organization and order. One thing that conflicts with this is procrastination. She does not believe in doing something at the last minute, waiting because if you wait too long for that one perfect moment, that perfect moment will eventually pass by.

TALENTS :

Odd enough - Yvette can play the piano, like there's tomorrow. She finds Ludwig van Beethoven to be the most influential of all composers. In addition, Evie is an occasional writer which is uncommon for a woman, though of course she plans not to get recognized for her writings. It is something that seems right to keep a unknown.

WEAKNESSES:

One weakness that Evie has her inability to trust others. She has spent an eternity of her life being lied to that she does not see a reason to trust those who are better left not to be trusted. She regrets this flaw most, along with her prejudices about female responsibilities. Yvette is always finding ways to better woman's suffrage that sometimes she may go too far with the movement to the point where she is locked away in prison somewhere. Lastly, Yvette is a lost soul. She finds it difficult to see the good in the world; always viewing the world with much disdain, though she has a certain philosophical side of her. For example, she wonders what is to come had things for her would've changed for the better.

PERSONALITY:

Yvette Eloise Van Der Woodsen is a very strong, independent young woman who cares nothing for rules. She breaks them. Having been traveled all around the world; individually, you must learn to take precautions, learn who to trust, and who to avoid. Because the world is not going to give you anything freehand, you must learn to make sacrifices every so often, and Evie has made much sacrifices in her pastime. And she is much clever to know this because she is inquisitive by nature. However, she is no romanticist, so much as a revolutionist. She had never thought herself of one day marrying or having children to claim her own, nor has she ever been involved in any way with a man. It all sounds quite pleasing, settling down and staying at home to care for her family, but Yvette does have commitment issues, not as a whore, but as someone who is nearly impossible to tie down. However, Yvette often daydreams of what it would be like to meet Prince Charming, or Mr.Right who equally shares her ideals. A man who is intelligent, and charming in the most likable ways; a man who finds her sarcasm and small; a man who craves adventure. Yvette has yet to uncover one.

BIOGRAPHY :

The 5th of May, 1888 a beautiful baby girl was left deserted at the the door step of Abernathy's Orphanage for Girls in Bolokhovsky, Soviet Union; parents unknown. Growing up, Yvette was a remarkable young child, and very peculiar to the other girls who enjoyed playing with their porcelain dolls. Yvette was different in ways that hardly anyone wanted to hangout with her even though she was one of manners, sat down when she was told; most new that this was a girl who was set out to change the world for the better. And they were right. The town-boys who pulled at her blonde pigtails were then left scared, for Yvette was one who was reckoned to be messed with. She stood her ground as any human being shall, as any woman should.

At a teen age, Yvette began to take up the interest for boys as any normal teen girl did, but with Yvette she attentive of a man's lifestyle; work, and going to war. The thought of actually marrying had not come across her mind, it was their sense of freedom that left her in awe. However, she was unable to do the things that they did, in fact no woman had the opportunity to better themselves besides doing the things that they did best, crochet and play a specific instrument.

As soon as Yvette hit the age seventeen, enough was enough. She packed her bags, and ran away to the Netherlands where she spent most of her life poor, and a widower. But Yvette did not mind because she was free to do whatever she pleased. She made money as a pianist for many first class festivities; traveling to one city to the next until on March 31, 1909, she had came across a newsletter in France about a luxury ocean liner that had just finished being construction, and was soon to set sail in April. Luck had crossed Yvette for the first time in twenty - four years. Soon enough she had made barely enough money to be admitted a ticket to board Titanic as a third - class passenger seeking to close the door from the past, open the door to the future, take a deep breath, step through and start a new chapter in her life.
