APPEARANCE

When first looking at Amelia Nelson, one would first notice the long shimmery golden locks that she refuses to wear in tidy little hairstyles and instead allows to fall in rolling waves and curls down below her hips, as the light hits the mas it allows those who are watching to see the numerous different shades that are entangled to create her unique head of hair. The second, is normally her smile. Though a little on thin side she has lovely naturally rosy red lips that are almost always in a full blown smile, the truth of that smile creates a sparkle in her stormy gray eyes which captivates the people around her. Along of course with her bell like laugh that is full of joy and mischief.

Though thin and willowy in body shape, Amelia is on the shorter side of average, barley reaching the 5'3 mark. This doesn't distract away from beauty but adds to it as it makes her appear more doll like, slim and delicate hands and feet, slender arms, petite torso with just the right amount of curves that are hinted at under her fashionable clothes. Not one for overly tight corsets, along with the fact that with her body shape they are not needed to get a small waist, she has a tendency to wear looser dresses in dark colored silks that off set her pale complexation and golden hair.

LIKES
Amelia likes a lot of things, truly there are very few things she dislikes. Some of her favorite things are the way the sky turns different colors before the sun sets, she enjoys the cool breeze when she takes her morning walks and she adores the cats that live on the property. She loves the feeling on silk on her finger types and smell of sea water. Her brothers smile when he gets home from work and the way everyone underestimates her. She loves dressing in boys clothing and sparing with her brother and visiting areas in town she shouldn't. She enjoys the quite before the day starts and noise from the market, she adores the world how it is and it makes her happy to see it in motion.

DISLIKES
Due to the fact that she enjoys so much there are few things she dislikes. Amelia dislikes thunder storms, and seeing others in pain. She hates blood and being seen as weak, she hates people putting her brother down because he has chosen to work, and she absolutely detests people who hurt others or animals just for the sake of it.

TALENTS
Oddly enough, Amelia is a talented sportsman. She has spent most of her free time practicing archery and fencing sense she was a small child and has recently takin up boxing with her brother. Outside of sports she is a pretty good horsewoman though she prefers to ride like a man rather then sit side saddle, and she has a decent hand at art but most wouldn't call her 'talented'.

WEAKNESSES
Amelia has a weak spot for animals and children which has put her in a tough situation a time or too because she cant keep her mouth shut when others are harming them, she also cant handle anyone saying a bad word about her brother. Outside of those two things her next biggest weakness would be her size and the fact that she is a female in a 'mans' world where she is often put down and pushed aside as if she doesn't matter. There is also the fact that she has poor eyesight and though she hates wearing them needs to use spectacles to see things in the distance.

PERSONALITY

OPTIMISTIC KIND LOYAL NAIVE TEMPERMENTAL DITZY

Always the optimist Amelia has a hard time distrusting people, always looking for the best. Maybe its because she is social butterfly or because she has been hurt in the past but she doesn't feel as if it is her jo to judge anyone and until proven other wise she refuses to see the bad. This in essence makes her a bit naïve and easily conned into doing things she otherwise wouldn't, though for all of her optimism and trust in others she is picky about who she allows close to her. This can be solely blamed on her parents who almost bankrupted the family with their generosity and the fact that she is easily displeased with peoples personalities. Once she is friends with someone her loyalty and willingness to help out where ever she can is a standout trait that has many, even those who don't know her well, commenting on how kind and self sacrificing she is.

For all of her good or at least decent traits she does have some bad. Like the fact that she cant stand uppity people and will quickly put them down verbally, her temper which has a long fuse is a bloody massacre when pushed that far. She is very likely when in a rage to spew secrets and to not care all in a scarily calm voice but the bight pink that will stain her cheeks and the clenched fists are a clear indicator to just how mad she is. She is also ditzy, almost appearing as overly forgetful which has at times lead people to believe that she is forgetting them on purpose and in such that she thinks that she is better then them. This has caused problems in the past but she does her best to quickly make things right and to comment on just how forgetful she is as she apologizes.

Amelia is quick to admit her wrong doings but isn't as fast to take credit for her good deeds, pushing them off on to someone else usually with one of the phrases "Well, Mr..... Suggested it." Or "Without Miss.... Help it would never have happened." very rarely does she even mention what she has done and normally only in the instants if she believes she can get more people to help with whatever charity she has put her whole self into currently. She isn't one to care about status or even finances but she is the first to admit that she would be highly upset if she wasn't able to afford to keep up with the latest fashions or if her and her brother had to move out of their family home.

HISTORY
Born on June 21st 1889, which was a humid and sweltering night that caused summer thunder storms, Amelia Victory Nelson was born and five minutes later a very blue and medically dead Henry Richard Nelson was born. After a struggle to revive the infant the Nelson's had two thriving babies. By the twins third birthday Henry's oddness was apparent and many commented that Rebecca and Charles Nelson should send their only son away to a facility that specializes in the mentally unstable but the Nelsons could see just how attached the twins were and realized that though raising their son would be difficult it would be far to traumatizing to the chipper little girl.

When the twins were seven Amelia had already surpassed many other young ladies in schooling and Henry had shown that he was brilliant at math, though still not quite at the social level others believed he should be at due to his birth most had already given up on trying to get the child that made them uncomfortable sent away. The twins were healthy and happy. Playing with each other and even making friends with the servants children, strong minded and inseperatable everyone commented on how different the two were. By the time the two were thirteen Amelia was already scandalizing the public by her refusal to wear her hair up and even the fact that she was more willing then not to pull up her skirts to show off a good portion of leg so she could go horse back riding or even climbing in trees while Henry was studying to be an accountant because it was fun for him and when needed helping his sister get out of whatever trouble she found herself in.

When they were fourteen they found out that their parents were both avid gamblers, so the teenagers started hiding away every last cent they were given. If not for this and their parents untimely deaths that same year the Nelson name would have gone down in ruins. It took the twins carful spending and Henry's math inclined brain to allow them to live happily for three years until some investments came to fruition. At the ages of eight-teen Henry finished his schooling while Amelia went to parties and balls in the hopes to get the family name back out into the world. If not for Henry showing up unexpectedly and saving her from the harsh grips of a 'treasure' hunter Amelia would have been forced to marry due to scandal. After that incident Amelia never went to parties unless properly escorted and spent most of her time volunteering at several charities or at small all women house parties while Henry took on a job as a banker at a near by bank just because he could and because he wished his families wealth to grow as to make sure that the future generations to be secure.

Amelia decided to join her brother on the Titanic because she wished to be apart of a great adventure.

"Aye, batte'n down the hatches will ya'?"

"Are my eyes deceiv'n me, or am I seein' this ship's ready to land?"

"Eeeeh, boy!"

"I'm needin' help to pull this lever."

"Ready to land, Captain!"

A slow, crooked smile had spread across Captain Smith's face resembling that of much content. The great ocean liner had took approximately three years to construct, engineered to be the largest and most luxurious steam ship in the world. Its very first voyage would truly be something worth remembering; articles about the ship were thus written, claiming it to be a marvel of modern engineering. Both men, women, and children alike came fleeing from their homeland to get a glimpse of the monstrous beauty that dared hinge itself onto the British port as if it was the only thing that withheld dominance. The passengers to board the luxury ocean liner were nonetheless grateful. Many had lifted their chins up in prestige because not only were they able to gain enough money to enter, but they were the first to do so. Street market sells boomed significantly, men were getting their beard groomed quickly as their wives pimped their children for the long journey; brushing off any specks from the petticoats of young girls, and straightening their son's woolen jacket.

And, it all happened in a speck of time. Everyone clustering, like ants. It wasn't later until the ship's plank board was lowered had everyone began pushing and shoving for a leading spot up the ramp.

"You want first-class passengers to board first, Captain?" One of the ship's crew member approached him. It was no surprise that even the most wealthiest aristocats were given better treatment. To Captain Smith the first-class were 'walking money', they would surely help spread the word, and perhaps bring in even more fortune. "Yes," Smith assured, "let the first-class board first."

And, off the worker went to announce the news to the people who waited impatiently. "Listen up," he had to shout over the uproar, "so, far we have at least two thousand two hundred and twenty eight thousand of you. I want first-class passengers to board first, then second, and lastly third. I want this to be done in an orderly fashion. We will set off in approximately two hours."

At that the commotion grew much louder, people kissed their loved one's a farewell. It was a moment of ecstasy, all for the ship that deemed as virtually unsinkable, the Titanic was truly a phenomenon.

'Two hours, two hours, two hours ..'

Arthur McGhee felt the perspiration beginning to form at his temple, like thousands of tiny crystals scattered about his ivory skin. He wiped at it with the back of his hand as he chewed at his lower lip, it was a habit he had possessed since it was his conceitedness that got him stuck in the game of Cheat at the British port pub.

He remembered his words, a mockery as he smirked at the dunderheed that had just sent another man walking with loss. 'Ah bet yer ass I can win you at a game of cards. Aw or nothin', lad.' But, nevertheless it was those very words that had got him a pound short out of his pocket. If only he'd kept his mouth shut.

"You give'n up yet?" Arthur looked up from his stack of cards to the burly man who sat before him, the way his crusted lips curled back in amusement every moment he saw the poor Scott's exasperation.

He kept his answer short. "No." He concentrated on his next play.

He put down an ace, and at that, the man guffawed something bitter and awful that made Arthur fight the urge to hurl.

"You aren't gonna win, mate." Arthur ignored him as he put down a two.

Then, a four; six, eight, and before you know it he's all out of cards. Checkmate.

Arthur looked up at the man's now gawked expression, and smirked. "Mibbe ah jus did."

The guy was infuriated now as he looked at the cards, to Arthur, to the cards, then back up at Arthur. "Bullshit," he spat out a wad of tobacco juice out of the side of his mouth.

The man was nothing but muscle and tattoo compared to Arthur. However, as he said that Arthur couldn't hold it in anymore. He laughed, and laughed until his sides were cramping; until the man grabbed at his white button down, and heaved him up from his chair. "I want a rematch". He demanded, spit freckling across Arthur's face.

"Not how it works." The man pushed Arthur against a wall; hard. Others began to move away immediately in the process at the same time the owner shouted for the two men to take their tussle outside, but he was only ignored. "Listen to me, mate. I will hurt-" he was distracted by Arthur's hand moving behind his ear, thus a silver dollar had appeared between his fingers as if by magic.

"Did you not hear me? Arthur's smile widened. "Yer outta luck, lassie." He threw the coin at the man's face, causing him to loose his grip on Arthur.

"Aye!" he called out as he saw the sly Scott scoop up a few coins from their table, including a third-class ticket to board the 'White Star Line', and ran free from the pub toward the grand ship.

Titanic's departure from Southhampton yesterday was quite the success! Afterwards, the massive vessel sailed to Cherbourg, France to board more passengers. Nonetheless, everything seemed to be running smoothly, not a mishap identified. Its passengers are enjoying the long voyage as well. Some even managed to make friends with those within their social heiarchy, but who knows? Maybe love will parish within this grand vessel, or rivals will be made. Sometimes fate just has to be waited upon before it is allowed to make its next move.

As first class passengers began to make their way towards the Parisian Café for an early morning coffee, most second and third class passengers aimed to put on their best fitting garments to join them, passing the bouncers who are scouting for any possible intruders. Nevertheless, people are making the most of it until their final destination to Pier 60 in New York on April 17, 1912.
