Abilities

Alignment Ability: Sight-Focus (can see pools of Aura in people or the environment)

First Ability: Spell Sap- Any puncture wounds or lacerations she or one of her creatures inflicts on an opponent allows her to drain the aura from that area, the more concentrated it is in the affected area the more she benefits.
Second Ability: While her initial beasts are more nuisances to her opponent than threats with enough aura she can mutate the beast into a corrosive being that grows larger as it feeds on her opponents aura and her own.
Third Ability: "Medusa's Touch" her final and most dangerous move is also her most difficult to execute. Runes she writes in her own blood on both of her hands allow her to turn anything she touches to stone which she can then more easily manipulate or crush. This includes human flesh and weapons.

Specialization: In the Element of earth she specializes in aura corrosion and summoning. Utilizing her opponent’s own aura she uses extremely complex summoning snake spells and other simple earth bond spells.

Basic Training:
Manifest aura as small creatures: primarily a snake, this uses little to no power and she has excelled at it since she was young. The creatures have no minds of their own and are almost toys or accessories that only perform actions with incantations as instructions.
Her natural affinity is impressive so she can generate all manners of plants and move earth with her incantations and runes however she leans toward the destructive side of the spectrum where generating things like plants is more difficult to her than sucking out the energy leaving a shriveled dead thing.
Equipment

Standard throwing needles she specially requested and a plain rapier for close combat.
Vials of both paralysis and poison venoms from snakes.
A light, silvery chain-mail armor reminiscent of scales.

History
Lyn is a spoiled only child of a noble household with a busy father and clingy mother. The Drake family developed the latest agricultural technology in the empire and gained great fame and fortune for their use of Magus abilities to produce superior quality crops and animals. In her parents generation her father served as the head of technology while her mother was more focused in the magic of it all. So for as long as she could remember she was by her mother’s side for her business trips learning the magus’ ways and how to naturally draw upon the power of the earth and communicate with its creatures.
Her mother’s teachings were advanced for a child but Lyn learned fast and simple summoning spells came to her with ease. Even complex materialization spells made sense to her at some level. As she aged though the whimsical nature of her abilities turned to a desire for self improvement and a need to be better then all of her peers. In school she found herself getting into petty fights with other girls over fashion choices and boys that would end in her sending terrifying snakes after them to bite their perfect skin. Through these snake bites she would drain their auras weakening them to a point where they would be out sick for the next few days.
Her mother discovered her strange behaviors and decided her aggression best be avoided through proper sword fighting lessons. While she found some skill with a rapier her true specialty was with throwing needles with which her accuracy and range were unrivaled. And so her dangerous combination of sadism and ranged combat turned her into a skilled young warrior making the application to Archon an obvious choice.

Other

Her signature move is Medusa's touch so anyone who challenges her to a fight and fails will generally retain a unique stone scar embedded in their skin. Usually once you're unconscious or unable to retaliate she chooses where the scar will be and removal of the stone from the skin can cause deeper scarring. She can revert anything she changes to stone to its original form but that takes time and aura that she may not have or want to use.

So begins...

Ethelyn had her feet up on the dashboard of one of her daddy's delivery trucks, this was her preferred way to get school, mostly because of the guy in the driver seat. "Peter, how much longer?" Ethelyn spoke up for the first time in about an hour. "My snakes woke up." she looks concerned to the cargo area of the truck. "This is a dry goods shipment right? Nothing they could damage?"

The three snakes: A green tree python (Branch), a Boa Constrictor (Willow), and a red cornsnake (Pyro), had traveled home with her while she was on leave and were returning with her for the next semester, not wanting to bring her tanks back and forth she had a set at school and a set at home, currently the snakes where in separate pillow cases that were loosely tied, she sensed aura fluctuation which may have meant the snakes were awake and squirming their ways out of the bags, they were all too smart for their own good.

"I'm sure their fine, and there isn't anything they can damage back there unless some mice hitchhiked." Peter comforted her with a small kiss on her cheek, he always hated this back to school crap. He wasn't one for fighting, Lyn had a fire within her and he wasn't about to stop her from going back to Archon, no matter how many scars she always seemed to come back with.

"You always know what to say don't you?" Ethelyn smiled and enjoyed the thought of her snakes hunting out any vermin in the back of the truck. "But maybe could we stop somewhere so I can check?" She pleaded.

"We can't. Your father's orders, no pit-stops." Peter replied unwillingly.

"And when have we ever followed my Father's orders?" She teased, "If we're running late I'm sure you can drive faster."

In the next town Peter pulled over to the side of the road and walked around to help Lyn out of the truck, she pushed his hand out of the way and jumped out. Miss independent. He rolled his eyes. She leaned into him and gave him a real kiss.

"Thank you!" She said flirtatiously and spun around to rush to the back of the truck. With a burst of strength she pulled open the door and jumped in. "Willow! Pyro! Branch!" Are you all okay in here!" she yelled concerned as she began rummaging through stuff to find her snakes.

Peter nonchalantly leaned on the side of the truck and lit a cigarette, might as well use the stop to his advantage.

Some time latter michale began to stir well he wasnt the only thing as he could feel something wrapping itself over his waist rather tightly. Michale let out a startled gasp as he gave a quick pannicked attempt to remove the snake. Then the bag beneathe him began to reveal its contained visitor. Another snake to join the party. Michale gave a small cry for help as he struggled against the snakes. The vehical had stopped perhaps he could get out still. Michale began to wiggle toward the tail of the truck. That was when the contents shifted and michale the snakes qnd a few bags came pourni g out the back and onto whoever had come to the tailgate of the truck.

Ethelyn did not see Michale coming when he suddenly came out of the piles of supplies. Surprised she was not able to counter his forward momentum and was knocked off balance as she neared the edge of the truck bed and the two of them fell on the ground her on the bottom and him on top. She landed with a harsh thud and the feeling of his extra weight was not pleasant on her chest. With a growl she used basic skills to roll him off and gain the upper hand as she buckled her legs around him as she pulled a dagger concealed in her clothes and held it to his throat.

"Explain yourself!" She said with a hiss. The snakes responded to her fuming aura and willow, the large one most of the way around the victim's chest began to constrict, and poked his head out from under the tattered shirt of the boy flicking its tongue happily at Ethelyn.

Michale stared in shock as his world was turned upside down. He gave a short lived smirk as he had landed on apparently a female but that was short lived as suddenly he was held at. Dagger point and she didn't seem to be to happy with the situation. Before Michale could reply to the girls demands he could feel a snake tightening around his abdomen squeezing him tightly. Michale raised his hands in defeat. "Just catching a ride miss..." Michale struggled to get the words out as he squirmed slightly

Peter wandered over at the sound of a struggle, not too concerned, Lyn could handle herself if there was a problem. He rose his eyebrows when he found Lyn holding a boy down, dagger drawn, and snake strangling the poor kid.

"Bull shit where are you going?" Ethelyn pressed the dagger down threateningly closer.

"It's a hitchhiker, relax. You're not at school yet, us civilians aren't all bad, give the kid a break." Peter said trying to sooth Lyn.

Her muscles relaxed and she sheathed the dagger hiding it in her clothes once again. She vaults off of him backwards with crazy aerobics that Peter smiled at. The snake remains on the kid hitting his cheek with the tickle of its tongue, Willow was a big girl and was sturdy as a tree she wasn't moving anytime soon.

"I still want your name and where you're going, hitchhiker." She hissed with venom, holding herself back from skinning this guy for even thinking he could get a cheap ride was enough of a crime for her to justify any actions. But Peter was right, the real world wasn't all that bad.

Michale eyed the snake minding himself to remain calm and trying to word his sentence very carefully. He had been told to be careful what the wished for and sometimes it seemed his mouth gave him just that..."My name Is Michale Sear, and I'm going the same place that this truck is going...Archon." Michale said as he shifted then squirmed slightly then with a great deal of effort shimmied his way out of the snakes coils. He was slow and methodical in his movements as to not startle the snake. He finally took a chance to look the girl over. She was older than him...and was well off to say the least. After a few moments of struggle Michale's upper body was free enough and he was satisfied with that. He reached up and pulled his cowl down so she could see his face. "You see unlike most people who get into Archon and come from wealthy family's Miss I come from a rather poor family and couldn't justify buying a ticket on the mana rail...So I chose a more familiar way for me to travel. But I would hate to burden you. and you do seem a little high strung perhaps I can walk the rest of the way. its only a days walk out...I think... So If you will let me get my bag Ill help you load your goods back up and be on my way...Michale said sensing her hostility...."Or we could play a game of chance and see what the cards say about this...." Michale suggested as an alternative. his voice was smooth and while he was nervous he was confidant in his skill with cards and most games of chance after all he was one of the luckiest people he knew....and when he wasn't well....needless to say he also spent allot of time in trouble...

Ethelyn smiled, “Well I can’t let you be late for school. My name’s Ethelyn Drake Second Platoon Lieutenant. I might be the one who sends you home.” Her smile turned into a smirk. “I’ll play your game, you’ll find at the academy you have to win to succeed. So if you lose you can enjoy the walk, by the way it’s probably a 2 day’s trip.”

“Name your game.” She held her hand out a deep green earth rune on her fingertips prompting three blocks to rise out of the dusty soil by the edge of the road, a table and two chairs, they were nothing more than cubes of dirt but they would serve their purpose. With a hiss her snakes left Michale’s body, she wandered over and picked up Pyro letting him crawl up her arm under her sleeve and around her neck, his ruby red skin circled her pale white neck like a glittering jeweled necklace.

Michale Gave a grin as the python let him fully go. he was quick to reach into his clothing to retrieve a deck of worn cards as he made his way to the summoned table made of earth. he fanned all the cards out elegantly with skill and practice showing that all the cards where there and intact within the deck. "The game is simple. A single cut of the deck to a single card. highest card wins. Pure chance and odds at work" Michale said grinning as he shuffled the cards for her in front of her laying the deck square in the middle of the table. "Ladies always go first of course. And to not be rude..." Michale extended his hand to her. "My name is Michale..Michale Sear. And the pleasure is all mine." He said giving her a bit of a smile.

"Nice to meet you Michale, and since this is all luck and no skill, I hope you have the best of luck in beating me." Ethelyn smiled and shook his hand. She was sitting with poise on her short dirt block, legs crossed and back straight. Daintily she reached over to the deck and one third of the way down she split it and revealed the card to the right of the deck. Eight of Diamonds, not bad but not good either, Michale still had a chance of winning. She had cooled down now and seeing that the boy was nothing more than a student at the same academy as her she wasn't nearly as temperamental as she had been when she discovered the ratty boy in her truck.

Michale stared at the card she drew the eight of diamonds. "Well Ethelyn a fair draw, however..." Michale paused as his hand hovered for a moment before he simply Grabbed the next card down from where she had drawn. He didn't even look at it he just pulled it close to him for a moment "Im going to make a guess and say i've just won...."Michale declared as he flipped the card over, It was an Ace of spades. Michales hand traced over the image imprinted on the card for a moment as he looked up at Ethelyn to the trained eye some one would be able to see his aura almost acting and flowing like the wind in a canyon, moving with no real pattern to it other than it seemed to affect everything and nothing at the same time. "Well looks like my luck holds....Maybe just Maybe it will be enough to get me through this school..." Michale muttered quietly. He didn't understand it but the auditor had been impressed during his audition. something about Controlling Chaos and that some how related to how lucky he was. Not that it mattered after all Life is just a game..

The dull methodical thud was the only sound accompanying Kai as he made his way along the rather open looking road. He had decided to better train his endurance he would walk to the academy for a change, and all would of been well if one of his brothers did not pull a stunt which cost him a day more of waiting. But now, with a heavy sigh, he was marching along at a brisk pace, with his swords and shields on his back. Though the latter was getting a tad warm due to the sun. Pulling his hair back he glanced at the surrounding. It was empty, looked good if you were into sight seeing in the country, but empty. Slinging his bag to one side he carried not relenting in his pace.

Hours passed, and not much had changed, except one little fact, as the time went, a town on the horizon drew closer. That was until he was on its borders. Moving himself up onto a small hillock, he took a moment to himself to one scan the town, and two plan a head. He could grab something to eat from the town and a rest and head out while there was still light and pull a night march. Or he could just grab the food and head straight off again. Either way he was getting food.

Walking into town he did earn a slight curious glance or two, because his weapons were on show, yet he was not in the Archon uniform. Just a black, but slightly dirt splattered pair of trousers, and a blazer over his torso, that was it. Taking a wander through the place, he thought he may of caught lucky seeing what might of been a delivery truck, meaning a shop would be fully stocked. But he soon dispelled that notion seeing no indication of any cargo being moved. Though maybe he could gain the time he lost by hitching a ride. Even if the truck was not heading all the way, any quicker transport would be great.

Coming out the store his bag now containing some food just in case, he gave a sharp whistle. Letting it echo out slightly before shouting over towards the truck. " Hey is that thing heading towards the academy?" He had failed to notice the two round the back with their card game so therefore just assumed it was your average delivery truck. Some people were kind enough to lend a ride. Though if all else failed he would just walk to the academy. Late or not he would turn up.

Peter had moved back to his spot leaning against the side of the truck smoking while the two played their games around the back. A sharp whistle caught his ear and he turned to its' source to see a heavily armed man yelling about the academy. Peter sighed and puffed out a large cloud of smoke.

"Another hitchhiker?" he replied a little concerned after Ethelyn's reaction to the first one. He smiled though, he found hitchhikers to be interesting company, Lyn would at least have to tolerate this one for politely asking. "We're going to the Academy, but I'm warning you now there are snakes in the truck." Peter warned and then turned his head to the back for a moment as he heard Ethelyn yell in defeat.

-----------
Ethelyn's smirk cracked into frown, part of her wanted him to be able to ride with them but at the same time she didn't like that he had to beat her at this card game. Not to mention she couldn't believe that the card underneath her own was the Ace of Spades! He must have cheated she reasoned, it was the only explanation for his confidence.

"CHEATER!" She yelled and brushed the cards of the table in a tantrum. Ethelyn could handle being defeated at combat but a simple card game was an entirely different story.

"You can ride with us but know cheating is no way to survive at Archon." she hissed.

Michale smiled as he raised his hands infront of him helplessly. "I dont cheat..but luck...I am very lucky." Michale admitted and then added. "Hang around me long enough and maybe it will rub in...Also Where i come from its only cheating if you get caught..and assumptions dont count as being caught." Michale said as he carefully gathered up the cards she had scattered. he had owned teh deck for as long as he could remember handed to him by his father. a bit of a family heirloom. His fathers father had been a gambling man and lost everything this was that very deck of cards. Michales most prized possession. as he picked up the Ace of spades last he gently placed it on the top of the deck and then tucked the deck back into his worn cloths. and gave a slight bow. "Bitter or not, win or loss. Thank you for the ride I appreciate it. Michale was aware that another had approached and looked up now to look the newcomer over. He was armed that was to say the least, Michale gave him a small nod as he took a step back. "Seems like your truck might be becoming a new school buss..." michale said with a small smile.

Kai gives a nods at the hitchhiker comment, though his mind was more thinking on the company he would have for the ride since there was another one beside himself. " I would not normally bother asking for a ride, but my travels have been delayed already so anything to make up time is appreciated" he said slightly raising his brow at the snake comment " Oh i will be fine with them" he said. making his way towards the man who answered, though it was then he heard the yell from the back. " Suppose i should greet my fellow travelers" for such a large, well armed man, Kai was generally good-natured, or more so unnaturally calm then anything to do with his nature.

Moving to the rear of the truck he surveyed the scene, the end of a card game. The male had noticed and had given him a small nod. Nodding his head in return he smirked at the school bus comment. He was gonna wait until he had the females attention as well before introducing himself, but either way a ride was sorted.

"Well hello there!" Ethelyn admired the tall muscular man that had arrived on the scene with a seductive voice, what a hunk! Over the brief break she had forgotten how big some of the guys at Archon got, she had gotten used to Peter who was somewhere between these two guy's height. All admiration disappeared as Peter joined them.

"So Michale and... sorry I didn't catch your name." Peter looked to the new arrival. "You'll both ride in the back, don't damage anything or you're paying for it, that includes the snakes."

"If you kill the snakes, or even hurt them, I'll kill you." Ethelyn added before reloading Willow, Pyro, and Branch into their individual sacks.

Michale gave a small shrug as he saw her interest immediately change. Street charm only got some one so far anyways he supposed. Someone of her social standings probably had more interest elsewhere any how. "At this point I'm more concerned about my well being than the snakes... But I assure you I'm not going to be picking any fights with them." Michale said as he Michale began putting the things that had fallen out back into the back of the truck then climbed in himself. He himself figured he could get a bit more sleep before they arrived at the school. As he climbed into the back of the truck he would steal another glance at Ethelyn. and mutter under his breath. "Easy lover boy...She is way out of our league."

Kai nods down when the female noticed him, she seemed slightly family, probably seen her round campus or something during his first year. " Sorry for the intrusion" he said as she explained they were riding in the back " The name is Kai... and don't worry.... i will make sure everything is kept intact." he said as he waited until the truck was loaded again and Michale had climbed in the back before he pulled himself inside, Throwing his bag and his weapons against the wall he sat himself down before glancing one last time at the woman " Give a knock for when we get close to the academy if you would not mind" he said before turning his attention to the one in the back with him " Freshman?" he asked knowing it was gonna be still a fair drive, so a little conversation would not hurt

Michale gave a small nod pulling his cowl back up into place as he pulled out his hat and placed it on top of his head. "As a matter of a fact I am. Your definitely not a freshman though." Michale said as he glanced over all the weapons and Kai. "Im Michale Sear." He said somewhat flatly as he grabbed his only bag which was just a spare change of cloths and his school uniforms. and put it up against a few bags next to him. Fact was he was probably going to have to get a job just to support himself out here unless the kids at the school happened to be as careless with their money as people who bet it in the streets had been.

Ethelyn brushed the dust off of her jeans before returning to Peter's side. At least this second hitchhiker appeared to have some manners.

"You should have made them walk, at least the pesky stow away one, it would toughen them up before they even got to school and they'd get a good beating when they got there." Ethelyn complained and put an arm around Peter.

"Come on, we better get going. We're behind schedule as it is." Peter replied and kissed her on the forehead as he threw his cigarette to the ground and stomped it out. He wasn't in a hurry to get rid of Lyn but now there were two others to get to school on time and he didn't want to stall any longer.

Ethelyn sighed and hopped into the passenger seat. Peter took his place at the wheel and they were off down the road again.

Suna

waking up at the crack of dawn she was glad she had her own room as her last roommate always gave her grief about her morning routine. And since she woke up so early she was usually the first one to take a shower and have time to her. She started her morning exercise that required she use her whole body and was drenched in sweat when she finished. Grabbing her bathroom necessities she headed off towards the showers with nothing more than a small white towel wrapped around her body and her red chain like anklets. She looked herself in the mirror, commenting on the battle scars that had accumulated on her body from her freshman year. Stepping into the shower she was met with hot water and enjoyed the feel of it on her bare sweaty skin. 'i wonder how today will be like will mother be here will she watch me' her face turned serious just thinking of her surrogate mother and without noticing she subconsciously began stroking her many body tattoos, each one having its own meaning.

After her shower she got dressed in her uniform which she hated wearing as it wasn’t very comfortable. Some people even told her she looked out of place and awkward in it as if she didn’t belong in Archon Academy. Not that she cared much for appearances unless her mother was involved. Standing in front of a full length mirror she noted the few ribbons and at least 2 symbols that decorated her uniform with the Rank C badge near her neck, and remembering how her mother felt about appearances began to brush her wild shaggy hair into something a bit more presentable.

Soon after getting a small snack she walked about the mass of student bodies but was starting to get annoyed by being in such a tight moving space. So she walked over towards the trees and climbed it and began to jump from one tree to the next until she found her spot as Sergeant of the second platoon. She looked about and caught sight of Caspian and Rellan as they found their places in the first platoon. 'oh seems there in a different platoon than me'. A hand clasped her shoulder breaking her train of thoughts and on instinct she grabbed the hand and her foot to tip the strangers balance she nearly flipped him over her shoulder on the ground. But before she knew it she was the submission hold, her mother smiling down at her in her rather nicely decorated uniform of the imperial army. "Mother", "Daughter still instinctive as usual but it was a nice try though you almost got me there" "well i learned from the best didn’t i" giving her mother the rare a smile she hardly ever let anyone see.

Her mother Kathryn Alkard looked nothing like her adopted daughter; with her long blonde hair in a tight bun, pale skin sprinkled with freckles and her expressive steel grey eyes, while Suna had short shaggy white hair that was always messy accompanied with dark skin and pale red eyes.

Her mother was the complete opposite of her. She gave off an intimidating and orderly aura everything was in place. Kathryns face had a few wrinkles most were from her smiling a lot unlike her daughter. Who hardly ever showed emotion or smiled at that; Suna gave off a wild animal like aura yet it also made her seem harmless though neither were anything but harmless.

“So why have you come mother”

“What I can’t visit my daughter during her entrance ceremony” stroking Sunas cheek, pulling a strand of hair away from her face in the process.

A man then interrupted the two and whispered in her mother’s ear, her face soon became that of a serious officer. Her mother looked back at her giving her a sad smile “well it looks like I have to go but I’ll see you another time alright sweet heart” and she soon followed the officer as he lead her away. Suna watched her mother walk away but wasn’t really disappointed by the fact she wouldn’t be here to watch ‘oh well duty calls’ and went back to looking ahead waiting for the whole thing to start.

Michale Struggled with the uniform He wasn't a fan of tailored outfits, not that he had worn them allot in the past but his first impressions where not promising. He gave a sigh as he stepped out looking over his orders one last time "First Platoon Second squad...." He mumbled as he made his way down to the parade deck where the muster was being called. Michale had an apple in his hand as he looked around the mass of students. It was almost like chaos. unfolding a few dozen seemed to know where to go everyone else lost in the chaos of voices and screams. Michale placed a hand over his pocket the deck of cards safely in place as he Made his way to the symbol for First platoon and began to deduce which was second squad.

Michales heart raced as he suddenly saw the crowd. as he stepped into the ranks most just milled about. but he didnt have anyone to talk to. Just a spot to stand on and wait no family coming, no old friends just himself. Michale swallowed hard as he nodded silently to himself and awaited the start of the ceremony.

----

Delryn had dressed sharp in his uniform. His left shoulder held a gold red and green braided cord looping under his arm and back up the other side. on his head he wore the red cap of the SDU and his D class pinned and shined brightly to his collar. Delryn had gotten up particularly early as he headed out the back side of the campus looking out into the forest as his gloved hand massaged above his eyes. His shoulder was stiff and as a memento the medical team had given him the bullet Anara had recovered from his gut the one in his shoulder had splintered and shattered on impact. He had bored a hole in the round and hung it from his neck and now he sat staring at the sky in front of a small wooden cross, he had pounded in the ground. It had an single S on it and was made carefully by Delryn. It served too purposes now. One as a symbol of hope that he would see her again. Two it was something to prove that he had Neutralized the Enemy sniper.

"Sarah Im hoping i see you again soon, and i hope you made the right decision." Delryn mumbled under his breath as he touched the cross and made his way back to the campus. He had made it back into the chaos. Delryn hated the opening ceremony's he instinctively watched the roofs and the crowd. made mental notes on angles of optimal attack and egress routes. that's when he saw the little scoundrel...No that wouldent do at all.....

Azyr

Clink... clink... clink...
Azyr heard the same sound over and over. He awoke from his nap and peered across his dormroom.
Clink... clink... clink...
He saw small sparks fly throughout the air. As his eyes adjusted from sleep and focused the light, he noticed his roommate cleaning and sharpening his sword. "Just my luck to get stuck in a room with mr. soldier boy" he thought to himself. His roommate was a large man and the most patriotic soldier the academy had ever seen. His only flaws were that he was as dumb as an ox and he had an odd infatuation with his sword. However his sense of honor, duty, andy loyalty to the empire was second to none. The vast majority of conversations with him ended with glory to the empire or some other corny slogan. Azyr believe it was a conspiracy having them plaaced in the same room.
Clink... clink... clink...
"Finnally", his roommate yelled, today is the day I become a true soldier of the empire. Azyr placed his pillow over his face in annoyance. Knowing he would not be able to get anymore sleep he arose out of his bed and began to put on his uniform. After his roomate finished shining his sword he saluted Azyr and ran out of the dorms. Azyr's eyes rolled into the back of his head thinking about the imbecile they placed him in the room with. He then put on his uniform and let out an apathetic sigh after looking in the mirror. The uniform was snug, crisp, and sharp as it was fitted to his frame in perfect fashion. He noticed an envelope in his pocket with a circular pin wit a D inside of it. A note beside it said "Alpha Company, Third Platoon, First Squad, D Class." Azyr looked at the not and thought,"Damn, D-Class, I was hoping for E. D just means I will end up having to do more work." He threw the pin in his pocket and left the dorm.

Azyr headed toward the courtyard to await for the ceremony to start. He gazed at many of his fellow classmates being greeted by their families, getting chewed out by superiors, and performing various other tasks. He began to mentally analyze the rest of his platoon when he noticed a young woman being held in a submission hold by an older blonde woman. A moment of exitement overcame him when he noticed how attractive the older woman was. "Maybe this wont be so bad he thought." That moment quickly faded when he noticed here uniform and realized she was not a classmate but just a family member watching the introduction ceremony. He let out a sigh of relief that his sisters were on missions on opposide sides of the world. If they were here they would probably berate him for not making a higher rank class. Azyr layed out under the shade of a nearby tree and decided to take a quick nap before the festivities began.

#, as written by Karu
Staring at the ceiling as the night just seemingly flies by closing his eyes trying to go to sleep, but for some odd reason, he isn't able to do so. Staring at the ceiling as he pulls out the small cylinder out of his pocket, he grips is tight as he sighs and puts it back into his pocket. As his view diverts away from the ceiling and looks around his empty and dark room.

As the sun arises and the light slowly makes it's way into the room Karu is still staring at the light in the same position he has been for the past 6 hours. Looking at the clock, he gets up and grooms himself. His hair disheveled with his bang down his right eye yet again, he dresses himself in uniform making everything is in check and sighs to himself as he stares at the necklace that's blatantly showing in front of the uniform. "I promise." Karu speaking to himself as he speaks to the reflection with resolute eyes. He leaves the dorm room head strong with the words in his head, "Alpha Company, Third Platoon, First Squad, D Class." These words kept ringing in his head as engravings so that he never forgets where he first began, the start of it all.

Walking towards the courtyard as his eyes stare into the sea of people, he feels sick to the stomach as unable to handle wide amounts of people, taking a considerable distance until the very last moment he was allowed. Analyzing the people who enter the courtyard getting thicker and thicker, he feels like he wants to leave the area, but at the same time feels obligated to not doing so; as such Karu swallows his uneasiness and tries to hold it in, just long enough for everything to be over with.

"OMG!"

Lucy instantly got up rubbing her eyes at the noise, her roommate was standing there next to her bed fully dressed in her uniform jumping up and down, screaming with...Joy? Once Lucys eyes had adjusted abit she could see her mother and father standing at the door, "Your father and I decided to come and get you dear," Her mother had said laughing quietly. "Wait, how did they let you guys into the dorms?" Lucy rubbed her hair confusingly.

"I went here to dear, I just simply asked that we could just get our daughter. Now get dressed, we have a ceremony to get to," Her father laughed with her mother.

"Alright I will meet you down there now GO your embarrasing me infront of my roommate," She shoo'd her parents out and closed the door looking over to her roommate. "YOUR THE DAUGHTER OF THE GREAT CHARLIE MARETTA?!" Her roommate excited-ily asked.

"Yes," Lucy replied while smiliing happily, her hair messed up and her beddress still on.

"We have to get you ready! Oh by the way my name is Jana Faye," Jana was going into Lucy's dresser getting her uniform and some of her accesories like her blue bow and placing them neatly on the bed for when they come back. "Lets Go!" Jana grabbed Lucys hand and they were out the door heading towards the showers. Once there Jana turned her back on Lucy and stood their like a personal bodyguard. "Have a shower and be quick!" She quickly said.

Lucy was flustered as she quickly had a shower making sure to wash her hair, she got dry and put a towel on, once again Jana grabbed her hand and now they were headed back towards their room on the third floor. Lucy ran in quickly and Jana closed the door, pressing her face against it. "QUICK GET DRESSED!" She hastily spoke. Lucy got dressed quickly into her uniform which was surprisingly comfortable she felt something in the pocket she reached in and pulled out a envelope with a pin with a 'D' on it. I guess im in Class D then... she pinnded it to her uniform and noticed a note in the envelope aswell getting it out, it said. "Cadet, Second Platoon, Third Squad" She turned to Jana and spoke quietly, "You can turn around now Jana," Jana sat her infront of the mirror while grabbing a brush, stroking Lucys long blue hair, then placing a bow in it.

Lucy stood up infront of the mirror and twirled while nodding, "I like what you did with my hair Jana...Jana?" Lucy had turned around and noticed that Jana was frozen with excitement. "It is true...You are beautiful like your mother" Jana had praised Lucy. 'Thank you Jana," Lucy had smiled at her as Jana suddenly grabbed her hand again running out the door onto Courtyard while asking a few Higher-Ups they were able to find Lucys parents. "Well See you Lucy!" Jana gave a wave and went to find her own parents. Lucy turned to her parents and hugged them both tightly. "Dear you look as beautiful as your mother!" Said her father astonished at Lucy. "Always the hint of suprise father?" Lucy and her father laughed then went on talking.

Ethelyn woke up to her roommate-less double, sure she had a roommate a day ago but that girl didn't understand that Ethelyn's snakes were completely harmless. You would think an Archon student would have the guts to live with a few reptiles. Regardless she enjoyed the extra space for willow's giant tank.

She sighed and looked at her alarm clock realizing today was the entrance ceremony, she had to be at her best today, as Lieutenant she actually had a real title to defend now. To wake herself up she grabbed darts from her bed side table and started with her dart board, as silly as it seemed it was the best way to warm up her wrist for the heavier, far more deadly needles and daggers. Once she could get a bulls-eye every time she unrolled her throwing needle kit. She took a plantless pot of soil from the window sill and emptied its contents on the floor of her room in a simple pile. Hand outstretched toward the soil Ethelyn formed the incantation on her lips and the dark earthy runes formed at her fingertips. Pooling aura at the soil it soon began to coil and move as six small dirt mice formed. That was all it took to set Ethelyn's aura on fire, incantations poured from her mouth as she instructed the mice to scatter and play a game of moving targets.

With a scary level of lethal accuracy Ethelyn pulled a needle out with a single swift movement and hit the first mouse through the eyeball. As her incantations continued the mice began to run faster and evade her attacks. She danced around the small room singing her incantations with her needles firing at the tiny targets until every last one lay a defeated pile of dirt. With a final stretch she sang the dirt back into the pot as runes shined in front of her.

She was no well prepared for the day both mentally and physically. After a shower and dawning her uniform for the first time this year she admired the way her uniform fit her form perfectly, regal, deadly, yet feminine. This year her uniform was actually starting to look professional with the lieutenant decorations and Class B ranking. With a final good-bye to her snakes she left the room for the morning's ceremonies.

Arriving on the crowded scene Ethelyn was able to find the location of her Platoon rather easily, especially since Kai the Giant hitchhiker was in the area already. She smiled as she saw the giant was the firearms leader for one of her squads.

"Specialist Cavelier, I believe we met before under different circumstances." Ethelyn approached Kai standing tall and letting her aura add to her presence. "I see you are the firearms leader for my first squad, it will be pleasure working with you specialist." She greeted him with all of the formalities necessary, she was barely recognizable as the angry rich girl that lost a stupid card game to a street rat of a boy.
