The years went by and Variscite was so bitter at them that he wouldn't need to be taunted or torture he would naturally act like that when they got close to him. With hatred building in his heart and hunger in his belly it was soon true that he was just an animal in human form. Then one day a young girl came to him when everyone had left him in the cage. Naturally he acted aggressive, but the young girl didn't bat an eye and looked him with kind eyes. She then laid in front o him some berries and a few pieces of meat. Driven by hunger he ate every last bit of the food. Soon he had develop a connection with the girl who had him regain his humanity. Then one night the girl released Variscite from his cage and broke his neck chain and told him to run and never look back. He did what he was told and never returned to that horrid place.
