xxAppearance:
Sienna looks incredibly like her mother did when she was her age. Mono-lidded, dark brown eyes, long brown naturally wavy hair, high cheekbones and full lips makes it clear who her mother is, and also makes her incredibly pretty. All she really got from her father was her naturally pale skin that usually bears a tan, be that from a bottle or the sun. At 5'8", she's on the taller side of average, and her height is emphasised by the fact that she's usually wearing heels. She's slim, a healthy weight- but barely. Her figure is a tad boyish, with some small curves. She usually dresses in close-fitting tops with oversized shirts and jackets to try and flatter her figure. Sienna is incredibly stylish. She knows her style and how to dress for it. Her budget has never been a limiting factor, and has shaped it if anything as she raids vintage shops and thrift stores for something she can alter or wear. She's very seldom seen looking scruffy. Even when she's at home in her pyjamas, her hair in a messy bun, she looks neat and tidy. At this point, it's nearly become subconscious, but it's not something she's complaining about either. She keeps her makeup pretty natural as a general rule, occasionally going a little more glam for fancy events.

ImageImage

xxPersonality:
Sienna has been called a lot of things over the years. The one that has come up more and more recently? Bitch. She can come across as a little heartless, a little cold at times. She'll stop at absolutely nothing to get what she wants, and she doesn't care what the cost might be. She knows what she wants, and she knows how to get it. She isn't afraid to step on a few toes either. She doesn't let herself be patronised. She has a sharp tongue coated in venom for anyone who calls her "honey" or "sweetheart" in any tone other than loving. She's cold. She stopped believing in love after her heart was broken, and now she has no time for fairytales. Life is harsh and difficult and believing in fairy tales is only going to make it harder on everyone.

Even when she did believe in love, she never fell for the passionate, all-consuming love that fairy-tales and movies liked to try and convey. For her, love was always getting up a little earlier to make them breakfast, because it would make their day a little easier and would make them smile. She finds joy in the ordinary, finding that a cup of coffee is worth more than flowers if somebody makes it for you when they know you need one. She's softer than she wants to appear, but buries that at all costs. The world was never kind to her, so she isn't going to be soft and kind and let it walk all over her again. Every rose has it's thorns... but for Sienna, it seems more that every thorn has a rose.

xxHistory:
Her father was working in Korea when he met Sienna's mother. They loved each other deeply, and were married within two years. A few months later, along came the first of their children. They had five already by the time Sienna came along, and they could hardly pay for the kids they had. But they made do. Sienna's mother loved Korea with all her heart. But when her husband was offered a better job in the US, what choice did they really have? She managed to get a part time job as a translator, working on weekends when the older children could look after the younger ones and when their father was around. At this point, Sienna still believed in love. She saw the love between her parents, that had crossed continents, that had raised six kids. She loved fairy tales, genuinely believing that some day, someone would come along and would be perfect for her.

Sienna never exactly had an easy time in school. English wasn't her first language, but because she started school in America, it was an easier transition than it could have been. She picked both languages up relatively easily. But her parents never had time to help her with her homework, so she often struggled with it. Her teachers assumed that she was just stupid or not working hard enough, and that attitude continued throughout her education. She wasn't as bright as some of her older brothers, so her teachers were disappointed in her. No matter how hard she worked, she was an average student. And with the teachers' attitudes towards her, she became apathetic and hated the school system. She refused to go to college, not wanting to be stuck in an environment like that again.

And so, the job hunt started. There was very few places that would even consider giving her a job without a college degree. But a colleague of her father's gave her a job as a secretary in their Boston office. In order to pay the rent, she had to take up waitressing in a fancy restaurant where the tips weren't terrible, and more importantly, which gave her a free meal on the job and let her keep all of her own tips. She balanced the two jobs somehow, and even found time to date. She met a man who she foolishly believed was her Prince Charming. He seemed devoted to her, and her to him. She thought she'd found her true love. And then she caught him cheating on her with one of his classmates.

From that point, Sienna became the bitch she is today. Having fallen completely out of love with love, her anger turned to a drive, an ambition. She started working her ass off at her job, and one of the senior managers took notice. He took her on as his personal assistant, offering better pay for only a few more hours each week. But Sienna isn't happy enough with him. She's got her eyes on the executives, because she knows the pay is much better. The only way to get to them is to, again, work her ass off and impress them. She's reduced her waitressing hours and has also started doing online college classes in the hope of eventually getting a job elsewhere with better pay. The idea of a share in a million pounds called to her though, which is the primary reason she signed up to the show. Money is tight, and she frequently skips at least one meal. She wants that money more than she can say.

xxSeeking:
She claims she's looking for someone as ambitious as her, who will understand her drive and her motivations. She's more interested in the money than she is in love. But deep down, she wants somebody that won't just see her as the mythic bitch, who might try and get to know her and who might actually treat her right for once.

xxLikes
She's a coffee addict, and is seldom seen without one. She's also seldom found without chocolate on her person or in one of her bags. She loves expensive-smelling perfumes and makeup that looks and feels expensive. Faking luxury is very important to her, because she desires to achieve it. She adores dogs.

xxDislikes:
Sienna hates her current apartment, it's small and a little shabby. She detests mushrooms and picks them out of everything. She hates drinking alcohol straight, she always has to mix it with something. She hates feeling or looking scruffy. Humid weather drains her and makes her unproductive. She can't stand having to wear itchy clothes

xxStrengths:
Sienna is incredibly organised. She's got to be good at multi-tasking for her job. She's thrifty, able to live her life with relative normality and still put money aside to save. She's hard-working, as shown by the fact she's balancing two jobs and college classes.

xxWeaknesses:
Sienna isn't naturally intelligent. She's ruthless and will stop for nobody when she sees something she wants. Physically, she's lacking in strength. She can run up and down stairs all day, just don't ask her to carry boxes. She's insensitive towards other people's feelings.

ImagexxFun Facts:
She's still perfectly fluent in both Korean and English, and can switch between the two easily. When at work, she prefers to swear in Korean. She can run in heels and frequently spends hours on her feet in them with no discomfort. She finds heels more comfortable than flats. She got a drunken tattoo when she was eighteen and had it lasered last year, leaving a small scar on her upper arm that she claims is from a minor car accident. She calls her parents twice a week and texts them regularly.

DAY 01
Paradise Island, Bahamas
Image

The sound of crushing waves can be heard in the distance as fourteen complete strangers stand before James Haynes, the host of Are You the One, with their new home behind them. This luxury villa will be their home for the next seven weeks as they go on a journey to find their perfect match. Seven men stand on the left side and seven women on the right. A few are already eyeing the opposites appraising each of them.

"Welcome everyone. You are all here for one thing, because you all have one thing in common: you suck at relationships." A few people laugh nervously, some shrug more or less agreeing, and others grit their teeth awkwardly. "Each one of you has been put through an extensive matchmaking process, using psychologists, compatibility tests, professional matchmakers, and information from your friends, families, and exes. Through this, we've been able to find an ideal match for each of you."

"Take a look at those across from you. One of them is your perfect match and it's up to you to find out who it is. You will have seven chances to pair up and find those seven, perfect matches. If you can do that, you'll leave the island with love and one more thing..." He pauses for dramatic effect, the contestants stare at him excitedly, "You will split the largest cash prize ever offered in MTV History. ONE MILLION DOLLARS!" The group cheers, pleased by this news. "Good luck!"

After finishing the show introduction, everyone moved inside the house. The sky was slowly moving into dusk so it was time to get the intros out of the way. Daniel lead the way, taking on the role of pack leader like he does with most things. While the house was gorgeous and he definitely appreciated it, he was more drawn to the bar hidden behind the staircase leading upstairs. 'Finally, my area of expertise.' He found an unopened bottle of champagne with fourteen glasses. He preferred something a lot stronger, but he can make do with this for now. "I found the alcohol everybody! Let's get this party started!" He began to pour drinks to anyone who held their glass out. He made his signature flirty eyes to a few of the girls before serving everyone.

Daniel raised his glass, "May we all find love or at least a good time! I look forward to getting to know all of you and I can't wait to find my match among these beautiful ladies. To being rich in love and rich with love." Daniel took a drink, finishing his toast. He ended up drinking the whole thing at once. A glass of champagne wouldn't have any effect on him so chugging the thing wouldn't hurt him.

~
Confessional
"I was laying it on thick when I gave that toast. I'm here to win the money. The girls in this house better not pull the whole, " He pauses, making his voice high pitched and valley girl sounding, "I like him, but he's not my match' thing, because I'm not losing 70K just because you felt something for the wrong person. If I find an awesome girl, great, but I won't have a hopeless romantic ruining this for me... God, I feel bad for the girl you've paired with me."
~

The toasting having ended, introductions among the contestants began. Daniel was right in the middle of it. Did he go over to the cute blonde he saw earlier? Or red hair? He could go to one of the three brunette girls or the two black haired ones. He decided on one of the brunettes. He thought he heard her name started with K. She was easily one of the hottest girls in the house and had the 'Head Bitch in Charge' look about her. He liked the difficult ones. They were the hardest to win over and most likely his type. Assholes tend to go with the bitchy girls so why not start there?

Daniel approached her, going straight for the hug. It was appropriate considering what this show was about and it didn't hurt to have some physical contact. "Hey! How ya doin'? I'm Daniel."

Sienna followed the group from the back, watching them all with a judgemental curiosity. Apparently one of them was going to be her match. Well, just by looking at them, none of them looked immediately like her type. That was, none of them looked stupid rich. But to be seen as playing along, she took the offered glass of champagne. The toast made her raise an eyebrow in scepticism as she sipped her drink.

Confessional:

Did anyone really believe that toast? Like, I saw right through it. And that was my first impression. Like, come on, man. If you're going to put on this grand, romantic act, at least make it believable.

She would have loved to have savoured the taste of the champagne. It tasted like luxury, like the life she wanted and would get, no matter what. But this was no charity gala, and she was guessing that everybody else intended on getting as drunk as possible. And hey, the alcohol was free. She wasn't going to turn it down.

She poured herself a strong vodka and coke, even digging out a straw and cocktail umbrella. She surveyed the room as she sipped her drink, eyeing up which of the guys seemed the least boring and most likely to be her match. First impressions were not good.

Confessional:

Hey, I know first impressions aren't always accurate and all that. But when you're as picky as I am? First impressions are everything. I know what I like in a guy. Confidence is attractive, arrogance is not. A guy comes across as arrogant? He's not getting as much as a second glance from me.

But scanning a room like the one she was in, it was hard to tell where confidence stopped and arrogance began. Having just given up on judging everyone, she turned to the guy nearest her. "Hey. You're... Elliot, right?" She asked. "Sienna. So. Fallen hopelessly in love with anyone yet?" She add, sipping on her drink with a smirk.

Tony Rogers
{27~#006400~Colorado Springs, CO~Here}
Tony had been to many places, but never to a tropical location. It was certainly a big departure from Colorado. He had lived in Florida, but that was the Panhandle, not like Miami and if he was being honest with himself, he did prefer cooler weather and higher altitudes. Still he learned to adapted to new situations so he was pretty sure he would manage here. He did need to buy new closes though and his mother and one of his sisters helped him out in that area since he wasn't a fan of the activity. The place they were staying out was definitely fancy. His parents had their dream home now, but even it wasn't this big since his mother did not want to clean a big place. If by some chance he did win money at the end of this, he made a promise to himself to send his parents on a nice cruise. He did discuss it with his siblings and all were on board with the idea. If not, they already decided they would just do it anyway, but it would take longer.

Tony's mind was diverted to the present when their host talked about the game and it was then Tony started looking at the women. First one that did catch his eye was the blonde, but not not wanting to be rude he only glanced at her briefly before glancing at the other ladies. All of them were lovely, but this didn't surprise him. His mother watched these kinds of shows and he learned good-looking people always made it onto these shows. He didn't appreciate the host's comment about sucking at relationships. He knew he was good at relationships, he had been married and very dedicated to his late wife Emily. Thinking about her now still brought about some sadness, but he knew that his late wife would want him to be happy and he did want a family too, so he figured it wouldn't hurt to try this.

Confessional
"I honestly don't know what to expect in this kind of situation. I plan to take it as I go. Quick shout out to my family though, thanks for everything."

Once the host left, one of the guys took charge with passing out the drinks. Having seen the guys before the girls, Tony knew already this would be one of the 'party guys' and would have an extra eye on him. He himself wasn't a fan of wine, so grabbed a beer instead. Soon, one other guy joined him, one that Tony liked already.

"Who are you going after?"

"Well, the blonde initially caught my eye, but I plan on finding out more about these ladies before deciding who I am spending time with more."

He honestly didn't know what to do next though. This was a unique situation and he felt like a fish out of water at the moment.

Elliot Ida Crowley enjoyed the sight of the mob. It bubbled over with laughter and excitement. Sweet smiles, overly friendly introductions -all were exchanged in the first few minutes of the show. Elliot looked like a shark, planted firmly at the center of the chaos. He observed each character carefully, and when prompted he greeted the pretty faces that passed by.

Elliot found his glass of champagne and played along with the toast.
"May we all find love or at least a good time! I look forward to getting to know all of you and I can't wait to find my match among these beautiful ladies. To being rich in love and rich with love." Sure it was BS, but so was all of it. That was the whole point of the game, and Elli loved it.

Ell found his way to the bar and leaned against it. To his right, a woman started speaking to him.
"Hey. You're... Elliot, right? Sienna." Elliot faced her, the glass still to his lips. She was pretty, and something about her screamed confidence. "So. Fallen hopelessly in love with anyone yet?" She teased him.

Confessional ───────────────────────────────────────────────

"This is easier than I thought it would be. What with my ridiculously good looks, I should have no problem at all."

─────────────────────────────────────────────── Confessional

Elliot snickered and glanced down at his drink.
"Fall? No- ehh, I'm more of a stumbler. Not very attractive, I'm afraid." He took another sip, and returned her gaze. "And you?"

Sienna seemed quick-witted, and he didn't mind spending his first televised conversation with her. Maybe she was his match made in heaven- or Hollywood Hell. Tous les meme. It was all the same to him. He relaxed into the counter and soaked it all in. From the vaulted ceilings, to the stained glass accents on the built-in shelving above the bar. The dark tile on the floor reminded him of a trip to Mexico he had in grade eleven, not to mention, the memories of sober mornings and regret.

Elliot gave her a toothy grin.
"I mean, if you like what you see, I can be yours. For a price." Elliot punctuated his sentence with a wink and gestured at his particularly average physique. After finishing his champagne, he loomed somewhat closer to her. Elliot was a slime-ball, and he knew it, but he felt it was part of his appeal. He had nothing to lose. Well, aside from $70,000.

Elliot's comment about being more of a stumbler made her smirk. Honestly, she understood. She wasn't really expecting a true, lifelong relationship from the show. Maybe somebody who'd be fun to spend some time with, get drunk with, hook up with, but she didn't see herself ending up in a long term relationship as a result of the show. "Don't know anybody well enough to say just yet," she said with a coy smile as she sipped her drink. His comment made her arch an eyebrow though, as she turned fully to look at him.

"Oh, honey. You think I'm just going to swoon and fall into your arms? I'm not that type of girl. You want me?" She asked, stepping a little closer. "You're gonna have to fight for me," she said, holding the eye contact before turning away again. "So come on. Prove yourself. Tell me what separates you from grand transparent gesture guy," she said, using her cocktail umbrella to indicate who she meant.

Confessional:

"Treat 'em mean, keep them keen. I don't want somebody who's just going to bat his eyelashes at me and think that'll be enough for me. I don't impress that easily."

She found herself wondering how exactly she was going to challenge this guy. Shots, maybe? If he could beat her, he might stand a chance. If not, at least he knew what he was up against. She knew that things would probably easier if she just went along with things, if she just did her best to try and find her match so she could win her money and move on. But that was just so boring. What was the point in that? She was gonna flirt and push and challenge the guys. The system was probably complete bull anyway, so she was gonna have a little bit of fun while she was at it.

Every time I dreamxx────────────────────────

There was something about Sienna that strung him along. Elliot was glad to have been addressed by her so early on. There were so many less than compelling people wandering around. In between exchanges, Ell would gaze around the room, but when she scoffed at his proposition, Elliot's attention was revived.

"Oh dear, so the tables have turned! ...Prove myself, ey?" The Irishman paused, then said, "Well, for one, I'm not as willing to make a massive, weeping anus of myself on television, but I do stress 'as.' Regrettably, what you see is what you get with me." The lilt at the end of his reply was loaded. While he was being as honest as he could, it was always difficult to tell the kind of substance his character was made of.

The light that fell onto them from the many windows artfully placed throughout the mansion began to get to Elliot. He hadn't slept at all the night before,

Image

and only partially the night before that. His exhaustion was starting to become more apparent.

Ell could see Sienna's line of sight fixate on the bar for a moment. He could tell she was searching for something of interest to do. She was light on her feet, and he admired it. To keep from losing her attention, he thought quickly.
"Why don't we play a drinking game, but lets make it interesting," Elli suggested. He parted from Sienna and the bar in a sprightly fashion, crossing to the living room and digging through the cupboards beneath the towering bookcase. Underneath was a number of board games. Among them, a classic: chess. He pulled out the ancient looking chess board and dusted it off. With it, came a black velvet bag containing the hand-carved chess pieces.

Elliot called to her from the living room.
"Let's play a wee game of chess." He presented her the chess board with a flirtatious smile. "You get the shots, I'll set the game." Ell beckoned her out to the back patio. It came down to how willing she was to play along, but with nothing else to do, Elliot felt he had very little to lose. Clearly the producers of the show had some idea of a match in mind for him, otherwise he wouldn't be on here. He took comfort in knowing, that one way or another, he wouldn't be left out of the fun.
