It seems she's always smirking, like she knows everything you don't.
It’s the body language, the way she talks, and how she looks at you that just gives off the vibe of arrogance and vanity, and to a certain extent, that would be true. She holds her head up just a bit too high, and a reality check is due soon.
But, besides those true negative points, Genevieve is quick-witted, and gets along most with people who she can have an interesting conversation with. When she’s around people who she tolerates, she’s open-minded, tolerant and willing to have fun. But when she’s not that all goes away, replaced by a false charm and empty smile. To her, the people who aren’t close to her are pawns, that’s all. Something to be used to get what she wants.
Or, apparently, what her kingdom needs. When she first heard that she was being placed into an arranged marriage, she simply nodded. Now she feels like she’s the pawn. But if it’s for her kingdom, then she can downgrade for just a little while.
It didn’t take long for the people around her to figure out that success was the first thing on her mind. Genevieve, when she was younger, spent a lot of time in the library, talking to the adults, or practicing her witchcraft instead of outside with the other kids playing whatever game that day was their favorite. The only kids she took fondly to was her brother, and her cousins.
There was complete shock when she realized that she was not being an ideal princess. Her mother had told her that an ideal princess knew about everything in politics, and was a friend to everyone. And though she was intelligent, she lacked people skills, and had no clue about politics.
Genevieve’s next goal was to be a perfect princess. Looking back on it now, she realizes that she had put herself to an impossible goal, but she had certainly tried her hardest. No more time in library, except for late at night, instead the young girl was out socializing, and figuring out what was new in the world. During this quest, Genevieve found out that she was not very fond of people in general. Badly enough, she thought she was much better than quite a few of them, but that didn’t stop her from learning how to charm the common person.
Throughout the years, she had also been studying magic, a lot more intensely than the common witch. Genevieve was known for pushing herself far past her limits when it came to this, often getting sick and passing out. She’s yet to learn her lesson when it came to this.
