Year: 2014 || Setting: Artemis Falls
For three weeks now, the world of the gods has been in disarray, and almost no one there to notice. For three weeks now, the Gods have been missing. To the few custodians left taking care of the world of the gods, answers are all but nonexistent.
Two gods, and one god’s cup bearer stands idly by, they speak little of the circumstance that made their brethren vanish without a fight, but they’ve said it is the result of a great power, one they’d been targeting for quite some time. One which must have lashed out before they could make the first move. And they know what must be done.

With the gods missing, presumed dead in their current vessels, Artemis and Loki know they will not die so easy. So they settle in the town, designated for the purpose two hundred years prior, and begin looking for the gods’ reincarnations. These reincarnations know little of their purpose, and their residence in Artemis Falls is, by their knowledge, purely coincidental. The humans are only just now learning about the death of the gods, and with Artemis and Loki announcing it, they announce a new campus, which will be set beside the highest point of the waterfall which seems to end the world before the land drops suddenly into the small city-town of Artemis Falls. It’s a large campus, spanning six buildings and innumerable acres across the top of the cliff overlooking their little city. They announce that they will be training this world’s newest gods in hopes of winning a war against a foe the humans are still unsure of, but do not connect the campus to this purpose; they hide said campus under the guise of needing a new base of operations. No one is aware who these ‘new gods’ are, where they’re coming from, or if unrest is sure to come. Most believe the end is near.
You’ve just been called to the campus, on work, or as an acceptance to a highly regarded school so you may continue study of your chosen field in assistance to the gods. You do not know who you are to Artemis or Loki. But you’re certainly going to find out.

“ARTEMIS FALLS”

Artemis Falls is a rather normal town, with few immigrants from other places. It’s been standing since the 1800s and is nestled back away from the sea somewhere in northern California. It has two high schools, and a college, and isn’t really anything of note. There’s a small town atmosphere about it, for its size, but it does have a downtown, and it’s easy to live the life of a normal young adult there, go to school, look for work, and find parties and a hundred other ways to get in trouble. What’s troublesome, though, is the recent lack of way to get in or out of Artemis Falls, and with Artemis and Loki’s recent announcement, there’s a stirring of anxiety in the town it’s never known before.
The Campus
The Campus which Artemis and Loki created upon knowledge of the other gods’ disappearances is a vast one. It spans nearly eighty acres of forest and flatland at the top of the cliff which overlooks the rest of Artemis Falls. There is a large castle-like building at the center of it, on an island in the middle of the river, which serves as Artemis and Loki’s home while they keep an eye on those they’ve called to the campus. Most of the Campus is populated by human-appearing almost-gods and demigods who were given places in their pantheons, but not deity status, who remained alive and well in the world of the gods because they were simply caretakers of it, rather than rulers. A good number of these caretakers trust Loki and Artemis, and thus came with them to the campus to help train the fabled new gods, others have grudges or alternative motivations for their presence. That said, they most all pay face to the remaining two gods at the very least.
Besides the castle, there is one academy and a number of shops and other amenities scattered across the campus, such as a bathhouse, a number of temples to lost gods, and different shops for necessities and worship items.

Strong; with the powers of a god now pouring through their veins, these young adults may be confused, or relieved, or whatever other reaction one might have to inheriting the powers of a god, and with them, the responsibilities. Most are unaware of the full scope of their powers or the meanings thereof, but all are living on Campus, as per being called by Artemis. They cannot leave Artemis Falls, but can leave Campus freely.

Collectibles
