Diana Harrington

"Sorry, dear. Let's reschedule, okay?"

0 · 404 views · located in Broken Bay City

a character in “Artificial Heart”, as played by Forsakenwings

Description

Name: Diana Harrington

Role: The Star

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Height: 5’ 3”

Weight: 127 lbs

Hair color: Blackish-Brownish

Eye color: Blue

Personality: Being a movie star, Diana tends to have a double side. As a star, she's polite, cautious, and tries her best to be cooperative with others. Sometimes even keeping herself from saying certain things. As herself, she's the usual introvert, indecisive about her desicions and complete clutz. She was told to keep a "perfect" image, so she had to keep herself from being snarky or rude while on set. So, it took time to create these sort of personas, yet she's balancing them out as she continues working. Towards fans, she's fairly well behaved, having a very high tolerance for most. Despite this level of tolerance, she knows the moment she should say something.

History: As a young child, Diana always aimed for being an actor. She strived through the hardships of going through constant rejections, working for herself by engaging jobs such as waitresses, office assistants and other low wage jobs. When she hit her eighteenth birthday, she heard of roles for a new movie called "Mad Father." She received a rather small role, playing more of a ending character rather than the actually main or supporting character. Many saw her work and began to take her into their businesses. She has filmed over 4 movies, interviewed at least 3 times, and starred in several TV shows, making herself quite popular among fans. When she received her humanoid, she wasn't entirely delighted by the entire idea. She thought he'd just be a sterotypical strange robot that would break on occasions and would even be bored of her life. However, throughout their "adventures," she's seemed to grow quite fond of him.

Items: She often carries a petite messenger bag, used to carry her cellphone, memo pad (filled with contacts and etc.), and along with her wallet.

Crush: Being a star, she is often told who she must like and who she shouldn’t get involved with. However, she does seem to enjoy her time more with a certain humanoid.

The sizzling of bacon and the smell of black tea emitted from the kitchen, the young woman returning to the kitchen to cease the heat. She took the spatula, lifting the bacon off of the plan and placed it onto the the plate where it joined with the buttered toast and scrambled eggs. She sets her plate on the table next to her phone, returning to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. Opening the fridge and pulling out the pitcher, she could hear the little ring of her phone. She poured the glass quickly, setting down the pitcher then rushing to the table. She picked up her phone, setting down her water and sitting. She unlocked it, looking at the message. "You've got to meet up with the director today over dinner at 7, don't forget!"

Diana ran a hand through her hair, sighing and beginning to eat. She had time to relax today... After all those photo shoots, she believed a break would be good. She continued to finish her breakfast, her eyes wandering to find the remote on the table. She shrugged, picking it up and turning on the TV. She changed the drama to the news, sitting back and seeing what sort of thing was on today's headlines.

Wasn't there something else she had to do today though...?

Nina

Nina looked at Lora and smiled openly, the droid seemed to be fully aware of everything; however, Nina preferred to be a bit more lax. Something about Lora mystified Nina. Her sweeping blue hair, her nearly automatic motions, her intelligence, somehow it pleased Nina so much. Especially considering the crowd she hung around with other wise. Lora’s personality most definitely served as a breath of fresh air in a rather dreary life. Once re-adjusting to that whole communication thing. (Nina was not a morning person) she let the pieces fall to place in her head,

“Oh, Um, You don’t have to.” Nina never ate breakfast, with her mom and dad out the door before she even woke up Nina rarely ate. Weather it was from lack of time or sheer laziness was up for debate. Nina looked at Lora who had made it clear that Nina she would eat. Forced to think like every teenager Nina’s instant thought was to ask for frozen pizza; however, something about frozen pizza didn’t ring like a breakfast food so instead she smiled and shrugged, “Whatever you want to make is perfect.” She replied. I’ve got time she thought looking to the families blinking clock that read 12:00 on and off. The power must have gone out sometime in the past few days and everyone in the family must have passed on by. Nina glanced at her watch for the real time and started toward the clock to fix it.

Maxilum

Maxilum hurriedly made his way through a bustling crowd. He’d decided to venture out of the Star’s home for a brief moment to pick up a few things he thought she’d appreciate. His calculations of walking speed and distance added up to him arriving back home only moments before Diana woke up. He failed to account for the long winded conversation the cashier tapped him in, and the overly jammed traffic from an unseen cause. Now he’d be late and Diana would have already started breakfast. He frowned while thinking that the whole busy nonsense was a big bother. He still rushed through until finally (As he would say) arriving home. The door gave an unsubtle creek when he opened it. Not Max couldn't feel, but he analyzed his thought process and became pretty clear that what he ‘felt’ right now was pretty close to embarrassment.

“Diana?” He called out. His voiced sounded uncomfortably close to a human’s. With no response he headed up a small staircase to the kitchen where he intended to put the hefty supply of groceries and comforts away. It was then that he saw her resting up on the couch flipping through the channels and stopping on the news. Her dark hair cascaded around her like a pool and Max swore he’d felt something, but the idea of that was purely laughable.
“I’m sorry.” He started, “I miss-calculated when I’d be home.”

"I'm Sorry."

Whipping her head to look at the sound of the voice, Diana seemed startled in the slightest. She observed the android standing there as he explained his reasoning for being late. Then she caught a glance at the bunches of bulky bags. "Maxilum? Where did you.. What did you?" She trailed off, surprised by the amount he had bought. She stood from her spot, leaving the remote on the couch and leaving the TV unattended.

"Here, let me help you." She said, pratically demanding for him to hand her some bags. She bent lightly to grab some of the bags from his hands. When she felt his grip lessen, she managed to grab a few from him, pulling them up to the counter and setting them there. She sighed, it still amazed her just how much he could do. "Did youu have trouble at all? Any sort of money shortages?" She asked, wanting to clarify if his travel went fairly well. Diana still wasn't sure about Maxilum leaving early and such, namely since she had a sort of responsibility on him.

"Tired at all..?"

Maxilum smiled at her kindness, although now he realized perhaps he should have said something before just waltzing out the door to run errands.
“Everything went fine,” he assured her, “I had more than enough money, and managed to save quite a bit.” Maxilum couldn’t lie. He’d been watching ads and clipping coupons. Even if Diana did have more than enough cash because of her successful acting career Maxilum wanted to help as much as he could. The fate of droids depended on him and the cast who’d been sent out to show humans all their capabilities. Although he rushed his way home, swerving in and out of the insane amount of crowds in the city Max shrugged,
“I have a decent amount of charge left,” He paused for a moment dipping into his mind to solve this quick snap of math, “I should be good for another 12 hours or so. Is there anything you need me to do?” He asked prepared to spend his day serving. He’d already started to unpack the groceries and putting them away, wanting to ensure as little work as possible for Diana, she lived a very busy life, and Max wanted to make sure it went as smoothly as possible!

Diana listened intently, nodding when he explained to her. "Is that so? Well, I can see your little trip was most promising."Shereplied, beginning to tuck away most of the bags, and wiping the counter with one of the rags she kept around. Diana seemed in thought as Maxilum continue to put the groceries away in their proper area. She only had a meeting at 7 and that was it for the day. Maybe she could spend some time out for old time's sake. Maybe even go down to the cafe with him.

"12 hours?" She hummed, tapping her chin. "Maxilum, I believe you should rest for the time being. I don't have much for the time being time being, so recharge yourself." The woman ran her hands through her hair as she made her way to look out the window. The weather seemed perfect for an outing.

"I'm heading out for a stroll in a few minutes or so, would you like to accompany me?"She asked, staring up at the droid for an answer. She never did want to just command him into walking with her or making him her personal assistant. Even if he was programmed to tend to her every command..

Originally disappointed with her first order, the idea of a walk with Diana sounded more than prosperous and exciting.
“I’d love to.” He replied hoping the streets lost their business from the earlier outing as getting across the street took more than a couple tries with the high speed traffic.
“Where would you like to go?” Maxilum asked curiously wondering if she’d even choose to walk in the city. A women of her fame and beauty drew attention regardless of what atmosphere she entered. Maxilum finished packing the food and other comforts away hoping that it’d be the last trip to the store for a while. He maintained this odd smile he’d managed to start doing when he was pleased. He felt that any form of emotion showing looked bizarre on him, but sometimes he just couldn’t help it. It happened involuntarily.

"Nothing too crowded or populated. Maybe just one of those little cafe shops or even just a boutique." She answered, backing away from the window and looking to the TV. The news was accurate as of today, being quite sunny with a slight breeze. Well, from the looks of it, it looked accurate.

"If I recall, some interns at the photoshoot were speaking of a new book shop." She paused, "That is, if you're interested. We don't have to stop by.." She rubbed the back of her neck with her left hand while she reached over the couch for the remote with her right. She turned off the TV, tidying up the area before leaning against the couch with a sly grin.

"We'll leave.. maybe in 30 minutes. I suggest you get some of that rest I was requesting for."

Calculating the time Max figured he'd have just enough time to restore himself to full charge and found himself very interested at the idea of visiting a book shop. His current reading materials were indeed dwindling, and, honestly rather boring most were math-centric and given to him from the Bay company.

"That sounds very wonderful actually." He replied with a smile, "Thank you. I shouldn't be too long resting up. I won't make us late." He assured before turning toward the room he'd been given. He smiled with a fond excitement upon entering his modest room. Shutting the door he slipped his jacket off, pulled his shirt up, and inserted a plug into his upper right shoulder. All of this done in only a few seconds and in what could appear to be one motion. Upon seeing Diana, Maxilum felt intimidated, and attempted to be as human as possible, but alone in the sanctity of his own room Maxilum let the gears grind and read his boring math text books at alarming speeds. While waiting to charge he'd occasionally look down at his watch to assure that he wouldn't be late.

Diana smiled, watching as the humanoid shuffled away into his room. She sucked in breath, loosening up her posture and taking a look at the time. Strangely, she still felt overwhelmed just by Max's humanly features. The way he "expressed" emotions, he seemed so real. Some of the other models witnessed the two at a clothing store and later admitted they seemed like siblings. She bit the inside of her cheek, a common habit of her's whenever she felt displeasure. Sure there was something she felt, but it wasnt too much a of a sibling thing. She sighed, "get yourself together, girl."

She mumbled to herself for some time before walking away from the couch. She had to go freshen up a bit more for walk. She looked through her closet for casual clothes. Wearing a dress and heels were out of the question. If she was going outshe couldn't risk any quick get aways with those heels. She setttled with a few pieces before picking up a towel and heading for the shower.
