Description

Name: Cassandra Elyonill

"An ordinary archer practices until she gets it right. A Ranger practices until she never gets it wrong."

Age: 18 now. Born on Turdas, 17th of Heartfire. 9/17. (Thursday, 17th of September. 9/17.)

Gender: Female

Craft: Moving without being seen or heard; sneaking. Although, like all Rangers, she was trained for years and years with bows and has very uncanny archery skills.

Apprentice?: None yet, though she may like to have one.

Theme Song 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dziRHDulG3k&feature=player_detailpage (That's also what her voice sounds like when she sings the song.)

Skils:
Archery- Cassandra is an excellent archer, able to shoot several arrows in rapid succession. Cassandra rarely misses her mark, whether it be a unmoving stand or a far off horseman or even a striking snake. She can
even shoot an arrow out of the air, mid-flight.
Hidden and Unseen Movement- Cassandra is highly skilled in moving silently, even before she underwent his Ranger training. Her small build and light feet make her a very good silent mover. Cassandra, after some
training and discipline, could stay completely still for a large period of time, rendering her almost completely unnoticeable.
Saxe and Throwing Knife Skills: Most Rangers are trained highly with the two knives, though she was never very good at them. They aren't her preffered weapons, so she had to quickly learn the double knife defence in
case the need for close-range came. She highly dis-prefers close-range.
Speed: Cassandra is very fast. She can outrun most people.
Climbing: Cassandra is a very good climber. She has never been daunted by heights, and her climbing skills have proven useful on many occasions.
Intelligence: Cassandra is a highly intelligent person, possessing a crafty and devious mind. She is proficient at creating elaborate schemes to accomplish her goals, and is a skillfull tactician. She also has a fast wit, and
it's said her greatest mental attribute is her ability to think of a way out of a situation and to plan on impulse, especially in dangerous circumstances. This also means she's a skillful tactician.

Grace: She can sing beautifully, and her singing also calms people and animals down, somehow...

Oakleaf color(If Ranger): Silver Oakleaf

Homeland: Monsea

Current Country: Araluen

Fief(If Ranger): None. All are taken.

Description: She's shorter than average, and semi-muscular. Her one blue eye and one orange eye seems to catch people's curiosity alot. Though she isn't very big, she is pretty strong, strong enough to pull the string on
the infamous long bow of the Ranger Corps. She's a fast runner, and a fast fighter. She's also very light on her feet and capable of being amazingly silent. She's also an excellent climber and tracker. She's said to be short for her
age, yet very pretty. She's humble and dislikes being the center of attention.

Picture:
Image

Equipment:
Cloak- Rangers are never found without their mysterious ranger cloak. The trick of the cloak is the special woven pattern of forestal colors, similar to that of camouflage, but more complex. The cloak is the main thing that
marks a person as a ranger.
Image
Armor-She wears light leather armor under her cloak, it isn't much though it can provide plenty protection for her needs.
Image
Standard Ranger's Longbow-
Image
Double Knife Scabbard- The double knife scabbard is attached to a ranger's belt, with slots for the saxe knife and the throwing knife. It is issued only to rangers, and cannot be obtained by anyone else.
Saxe Knife- The saxe knife is a long knife rangers discovered from the Skandian sea raiders. It is very sharp and made of extremely strong metal, being able to bend and break a sword and not even leave a scratch on the
knife's blade. It is also balanced for throwing.
Image
Throwing Knife- The throwing knife is smaller knife, designed for being thrown. Extra width at the top allows for balance with the hilt, which helps drive it home in the ranger's target.
Image
Ranger Strikers- A newer ranger weapon which is a brass tube fitted to the ranger's hand with a brass ball on both sides used to strike an enemy, mainly good for stunning or blunt damage. At the middle is a brass tube,
long enough to fit in the wearer's hand, and on either side is a lead-weighted brass knob, used to strike at an enemy, or used to throw at an enemy, stunning him from up to 6 meters away (in the hands of an expert user). The
average ranger carries two, and they can be screwed together to make a club. This extends their stunning range to 20 meters. They are, essentially, fistloads.
Saddlebags- In her saddle bags, she carries everything she needs that's not on her person. Some notable things would be flint and steel, a simple steel water canteen, and a map of Araluen (See Current Country).

Clothing: Just because she's a kick-ass woman, doesn't mean she isn't a girly-girl. This can sometimes be reflected in her clothing... If you ever got to see under her armor. She wears a pink bra, and pink panties. Over those is a tank-top, and green thin woolen pants, that match her cloak. Then she has her chainmail-leather armor, her cloak and her cowl (hood).

Arrows:
Cassandra uses a wide variety of arrows.
General Purpose Arrows- This arrow is the standard issue arrow of the Rangers and the Temujai because of its ability to pierce armour. Its tip is very pointed. Because of this arrow's lack of sides that secure the arrow in
the flesh and cause more damage if the victim attempts to dislodge the projectile, the arrow can be removed, sanitized, and reused, although the Rangers, who rely on swift, qiuck and killing shots to the head or vital organs for
a fleeting end, consider this idea distasteful.
Spiked Arrows- Spiked arrows are one of the deadliest types of arrows as they can evade atempts to deflect them and tear through armour with ease. Spiked have many small and large spikes on them and looks like a
chisel, and are loosely based off of real life bodkins and broad heads combined.
Message Arrows- These arrows cause no damage themselves, but are used to carry messages to places inacessable to the Ranger that fires them, such as enemy prison cells. The arrow, instead of having a point has a
cylinder that can open up to put a message in. Before anything can be fired, the paper must be weighed, and a little math must be done in order to make sure of the perfect trajectory of the arrow (it's very easy to disturb the
path of an arrow and even the extra wieght of a piece of paper can divert its course).
Barbed Arrows- These are the second arrow type used by the Rangers. They are barbed broadhead arrows, and thus they cannot be removed from the wound except for being pushed through, making for both a painful
wound and a painful removal. They also tear the flesh of the victim hit, causing extreme bleeding.
Bodkin Arrows- This arrow is special because it has no barbs or points that stick outward. In all simplicity it is just a single point, like a giant dart, and used to pierce through armor with extreme speed.

Allies, Friends, Comrades: Dovahkiin Nix Arci, Dovahkiin Bjorg Folkvar.

Enemies: Thieves, anyone who tries to put innocent people in harm (Araluen Ranger), Vampire, Daedra and Undead who mean harm to people (She's a Dawnguard).

Personality: She is a quick-thinker and a good strategist. Despite her young age she copes well with the responsibiltiy of being a Ranger. But just because she's a kick-ass woman, doesn't mean she isn't a girly-girl.

Horse: Rangers are very close to their horses, as Cassandra is to hers. She repeatedly thinks that her horse, Stormbringer, actually understands her. You can only ride a Ranger horse if you know it's code word,
otherwise it will buck you off like a mad bull. They are trained to sense people and animals and give their riders warnings. They can also keep up a canter for hours if they had to.
Image

Relationship: None, at the moment.

Organizations, Guilds, Clubs, ect: Dawnguard, Araluen Ranger

History: She was born in Monsea, during the time of King Leck's reign. Her parents feared she'd be taken away and used for evil, so instead she was loaded on a boat. The boat was lost at sea, and eventually taken by
Skandian sea pirates. She was sent to Araluen to live as a ward then trained as a Ranger. No one knows about her Grace, except for her. She keeps it a secret and leads others to believe her differently colored eyes has no
significance.

Likes: Sometimes, she'll take interest in men. She loves the Dovah language and often speaks it.

Dislikes: Being judged by her eyes, it's a sore point for her.

Other: She had traveled to Tamriel and hung out in Skyrim for a while, eventually getting caught up in the Stormcloak revolution, she was obviously on Whiterun's team, meaning she could be at call wherever the Jarl called
her. She even helped fight some of the dragons, alongside the Dragonborn. She learned the Dovah language at some ruins she discovered, and she's currently looking for someone capable of Thu'um to teach her.
She hangs out with Arci a lot, and tends to be the one protecting Arci in a fight. Sure, Arci can use spells and Thu'um, but Cassandra's a hardcore trained fighter.

Cassandra Elyonill arrived at the camp, coming from an unknown place. She looked minorly annoyed, but it was okay. It was just barely sunrise, she'd been treveling all night.
"Well, now that I'm back I guess we can start waiting for the Apprentices... They should all arrive sometime this week." She muttered to herself.
If one knew her well enough, they'd wonder why she wasn't being stealthy and moving with the morning shadows. That was because she'd already scouted the whole exterior profucely three times, taking scuh precautions even a Ranger would find unnessessary. Or maybe, she was just that good at Unseen and Unheard Movement. Either way, she clucked her tongue twice, and a brown mare came to her. Even this horse, her Ranger's Horse, was highly intellegent and bred and trained as a special horse, like all Ranger's Horses. It came to her as quietly as possible for a horse. She led it over to the picnic table, as they called it, and placed the saddlebags on it. Then she led
Stormbringer to the stables and loosened the saddle. There was three other, smaller horses in the stables. Only Stormbringer was saddled. A Ranger always kept his or her horse saddled, in the event they needed a quick getaway. She just loosened it for the horse's comfort. She went back to the picnic table, and carried the bags inside. The cabin had two bedrooms. One for the boys, and one for the girls. Each room had three beds, just in case. She placed the bags on her bed, she'd deal with them later. For the time being, she went out and sat at the table. Her bow was strung, a Ranger always kept their bows strung, and it laid over her lap. She leaned back and had her cowl covering her face. To anyone watching, it'd seem she was dozing off or napping. She wasn't tired in the slightest, and she was honestly keeping a sharp eye out as she was watching the camp while no one was there.

Nix Arci arrived at camp, two hours later. She didn't have a horse, and she traveled by foot on her way here. She noticed Cassie 'sleeping', even though she knew she was awake. Arci had the sense not to say anything to Cass, as anyone watching would know Cass, was awake...
"Oh Talos. I'm catching her habits." She muttered so softly she could barely hear it. She went inside and practically fell on her bed fast asleep.

Cassandra Elyonill had heard Alexis coming, before he ever reached the camp. If he'd looked in the direction of the table, he might've noticed a bow and quiver laying on it, nothing else. As she silently walked up to him, she noticed herself that she wasn't creeping. She was simply walking up to him, from behind, silently.
"Welcome. Would you like to repeat all of that in this tongue?" She smiled. She knew why he was here. No one could get here without
Cass's or Arci's help, and reading that poster with the intent to come here would give you all the help you needed.

Cassandra Elyonill nodded.
"I see. You're not of this tongue. And yes, I can be helping, just wait here." She said to
Alexis, putting emphasis on the word 'here' yet not being rude or too firm. She walked a ways towards the cabin, then stopped and called out.
"You wouldn't mind coming over here, would you?"
Cassandra Elyonill's accent wasn't that different from that of a Brit's, in fact her accent was very similar to an English accent.

Aero heard a woman's voice and he walked out from behind the cabin, holding his head a little. He's still a little in pain, but he's fine other than that. "Ow... Sorry, ma'am." Aero responded. He looked her over. the woman was as small as he was, but older. The woman herself had long black hair and blue eyes. She wore a cloak and armor underneath the cloak. Aero assumed he was talking to a Ranger, because of her attire, air of authority (at least to him), and the bow and arrow behind her.

Another ma was also there. He wore strange armor, and had a hammer in his hands.

Aero decided to address the woman first. "Are... you a Ranger, ma'am?" Aero asked nervously.

#, as written by darkune
In the dungeon of Markarth there is two guards interrogating a prisoner who is suspected of being a Dark Brotherhood member. "Where are they!" A guard yelled as he smashed his fist against a young and bound man. This guard had been torturing this prisoner for days without bringing him food or water trying to find out the location of the Dark Brotherhood. "I... I don't under... I don't understand what your talking about!" The prisoner spoke while coughing out blood. "Gorm, Just kill the assassin. I'm sure the Jarl will reward the guard that killed one of the assassins of The Dark Brotherhood." Another guard laughed and handed his colleague a iron sword and gestured to the prisoner. "Kid I hope your soul is pitied by the gods." The guard was about to strike the boy down when he heard a faint growling.

Suddenly the prisoners arms grew long, his back hunched, his face became elongated, and all around his body grew a thick coat of fur. "Werewolf! Gorm, Run!" The guards scrambled around but were quickly incapacitated by the prisoner. I'm not going to kill you. You were just doing you job, you could have been a little less rough on me though. The prisoner thought and picked his things out of the evidence chest and left the dungeon that he was being held in. Many people were running in their homes while the prisoner's eye was caught to a flyer about a camp in the woods looking for a few apprentices to teach. That looks like a good time! Maybe I should get out of this hold and out of this form before I do anything. The prisoner thought and ran off into the woods hiding in a ditch when far enough away from his pursuers.

"You got lucky this time Michael." The former prisoner sighed and put on a new change of clothes tucking his shawl in between his belt and pants. If I remember right, that flyer didn't specify where this camp was. Michael thought to himself and started stumbling into the woods when he found a small camp with a few people in it. "Those odds must be extraordinary." Michael muttered astonished that he stumbled upon this camp of people.

Cassandra Elyonill nodded to Aero.
"Yes, I am a Ranger. Question is, are you willing to be my apprentice?" Ma'am? She thought. I'm starting to like this kid already. She thought again.
She gestured towards
Aero, Michael, and Valina to join her and Alexis.
"Now then, you've all seen the fliers. My first question to all of you would be, is the tongue I'm speaking in your native tongue, or atleast a tongue you're familiar with?" She asked all of the soon-to-be apprentices.

"Yes, I am a Ranger. Question is, are you willing to be my apprentice?" Aero nodded at the question, and looked over to the one in the armor. He didn't look like he came from anywhere near this kingdom, let alone this world. Aero had heard him speak, or at least he heard what might be the stranger's voice, and it sounded nothing like Aero had ever heard of before.

His thoughts and theories were interrupted with the Ranger speaking again. "Now then, you've all seen the fliers. My first question to all of you would be, is the tongue I'm speaking in your native tongue, or atleast a tongue you're familiar with?" What a coincidence. I was wondering about if that man in the shiny knight's armor is able to speak or language. Aero thought. In response to the Ranger's second question, Aero just nodded again.

Valina stared at the woman in front of her. She was expecting them? Valina supposed it made sense, but it was kind of weird to her since she had not purposefully ran to the camp. Sure, when she saw the flier she wanted to go, but it had no location. This was that place. "Odd," she mumbled under her breath before taking hesitant steps toward the woman and the person she'd been talking to. Apparently, she wasn't the only one to just arrive. Awkwardly, Valina shifted her weight from one foot to the other before replying to Ranger.
"It's not my native tongue, but I have been speaking it for years," Valina said with a small smile. Was this really happening? That's luck for you,she thought.

Cassandra Elyonill chuckled.
"That answers that question. Very well, we'll sort that out for you later.
Arci knows many languages and may be able to translate. I, however, only know this tongue, Dovah and Latin." She looked at all of them. I'm guessing you, you and you," She pointed at Valina, Michael and Aero, "Are with me. You, however, look like you may be Arci's knew apprentice." She looked at Alexis. "Magic?" She said to him and nodded thoughtfully.
"I'll go wake her up. You three can wait around here, explore the camp or whatever. I have nothing to hide from you." And with that, she walked to
Arci's cabin to go wake her up.

Valina looked at the guy who had been with Cassandra, and tried to hide a smile. He really didn't know their language that well. It made her want to giggle and help him at the same time. Instead, she just pretended he wasn't there. When Cassandra walked off, Valina looked at the other person who was supposed to be with her. Then, she just stared. His hairs green, she thought dumbly, still staring at him. Normally people get embarrassed about staring or being stared at, but she didn't care for either. She learned to not care what people thought about her. But why is his hair green, is that natural? She had heard of people changing the colors of their hair with herbs, but it looked natural. Maybe it was normal, and she had just not met enough people yet. It was a likely option. She continued to think about this, a thoughtful expression on her face as her eyes darted from his hair to his eyes. They nearly match, she thought, and had to stop herself from smiling at that thought. Instead, she turned away and sat on the ground.

Cassandra Elyonill stalked into the cabin rather quietly. The cabin's were not only well built but well taken care of and not a board would squeak under a normal foot, much less hers. She walked lightly placing the heel of her foot first, resulting in silent footfall.
"
Arci!" She said not too loudly, but enough for the desired effect. She was instantly roused from her sleep.
"C'mon, sleepy head. All of my apprentices are here, and one of yours."

Arci got up and began to dress in her Mage's Robes, rather than her typical Glass Armor. She'd get dressed in her armor later. She knew she'd regret going out in only her robes and hood, as it was still early morning and bound to be atleast a bit cold outside.

Cassandra Elyonill walked outside the cabin, Arci following.
"Alright everyone. I figured I'd give you all the day off until the other two apprentices arrived. But that doesn't mean you're free to go. I think the first thing we should all do, if you haven't started already, is get to know each other." She smiled.

Arci shook her head.
"You'll have to forgive her for now, she's acting a bit like a drill seargent, huh? That's because she's never had any apprentices."

Cassandra Elyonill nodded.
"I'm sorry. I guess I should loosen up. With most people, Rangers way more in peticular, it's hard having apprentices. But, when we get apprentices, the relationship becomes more than Master-Apprentice. It's more like Mother-Daughter or Mother-Son." She sighed. "I'm Cassandra, Cassandra Elyonill. You can call me Cass or Cassie."

Arci laughed.
"And I'm Arci. Nix Arci, call me Arci though." And then she added, "And if any of you are up for some adventure just tell us. We've both been a bit stir-crazy lately. Also-" She never finished the sentence. Instead, she noticed the blood on
Valina.
"Oh, dear! Are you okay? Do you need help? I have a few potions back in my cabin, they're sure to heal you up in hours."

Cassandra Elyonill grinned secretly, behind the shadows of her cowl. It was common for Rangers to get in trouble bth before being a Ranger, and after. Just they tended to be differently. If you were a Ranger, it wasn't allowed for you to be a theif. You could be a troublemaker, like playing pranks, but nothing too bad. Of course, a Ranger's never had to punish their apprentices for such reasons because if you were chosen to be one that means you have the common sense to listen to the Ranger.

Arci nodded thoughtfully.
"Are you sure? I am the teacher of the Mages here, after all."

Cassandra Elyonill turned to face her.
"Now, now, Arci. Don't be trying to steal away my apprentices with your temptation of magic."

Arci laughed.
"Don't be silly! I'd rather be a Ranger than a mage any day!"

The girl introduced herself as Valina, and she asked Aero "Why are you here?"

"I got here because of-" Aero was interuppted by the Ranger coming up with another woman. They introduced themselves as Cassandra (The Ranger) and Arci (The Other Woman). Acri then was shocked to see blood on Valina's shirt. Valina shrugged and explained with "I got blamed for something. They didn't take it well. You don't have to bother, really. I usually feel fast."

Huh... Another fact to keep in mind. Elves heal fast... Aero smiled. "I feel you're pain. Happens to me a lot." Aero chuckled. "So... Um, do you mind if I introduce myself now so I don't have to do it later?" He added.

Cassandra Elyonill waved his hand aside.
"No need, Aero. We're a family now, this is more than just a job." She looked to each of her apprentices. "Now, normally apprentices start off doing chores. I know, I know. Aww! Chores? I thought this was going to be fun. But you two need to learn patientce at a Ranger's level. And the fun will come. We'll be going into the cave sometime this week, after I give you basic knife training. You're going to need it down there." And with that, she walked off to retrieve some items.

"Alright." Aero responded. He turned around and sighed. Chores? I thought I was- ... Patience Aero... You need patience she said. After all, she's the full-fledged Ranger here, not me... Aero mentally sighed again. He looked around to look at the camp one more time. It's all secluded from society... Is this what a Ranger is like? The ones to be isolated from everyone else? Oh boy... That'll be a problem for me... Aero facepalmed himself.

He went back to the elf again. "Hey." Aero put up a smile, despite the disheartening news. Disheartening to him, at least.

Cassandra Elyonill had taken her time. All Rangers seemed to have incredible patience, they can sit still four hours on end in dead silent hiding in uncomfortable positions. Why? Well, their training was incredible. That's why there was so few of them. If they're going to learn to be patient, might as well take my time and teach it to them now. What these kids didn't understand, is Rangers had trained ears and eyes. They'd be trasined and get these 'abilities' too, but even accross the clearing she could hear them.
"Ha. Gut fish with their saxe knives? Well, they'll do it sometimes when they're out in the woods camping on missions..." She said to herself. When she'd finally entered her cabin, she retrieved two double scabbards, two of the specially shaped Ranger's throwing knives, and two saxe knives. Then she left her cabin and went back to them, taking her time of course.
"Okay. You two obviously won't have any experience with these two unique blades, but that's okay. I'm giving them to you know because you need to get used to them." She chuckled. "Ah. I have so much to teach you. Well, one is these blades will be your life savers multiple times. Two, they're made of a special steel using a special technique by taking multiple steel bars and twisting and bending them around each other, then shaping it. The point is, the special steel makes them capable of putting notches in broadswords, stopping them dead. They also rarely need to be sharpened." She gave them each their scabbards with the knives in them. Then, she moved her cloak showing them how the scabbard goes around the waist. She expected them to put them on.

Arci had been standing quietly with the kids. She decided she'd been ignored or forgotten so she just simply listened. By the time Cassandra came back she looked at Alexis.
"Yeah. Well, our mage training isn't so strict and often not as lengthy. You're free to do whatever you want for today, we'll start tomorrow morning."

Arci contemplated what to do.
"Hmm... Normally, the tongue we're speaking is the common tongue, and everyone's required to learn it... Atleast in Skyrim."

Cassandra nodded.
"As is the same in Araluen."

Arci thought for a second.
"Oh! Well, if I could find out his language, I could find a translation book!" She said to herself. Then she turned to Alexis and in sign language, she said... Well, 'language.' But just in case he didn't understand, she said "Language." Outloud, even if it might've been in vain attempt.

Cassandra said,
"I'm inclined to believe he means Dutch."

Arci frowned.
"Never heard of it. Though, Dutch does sound similar to what he said." Then she shook her head. "No. I won't have a translation book for a language I've never heard of. Though... I think I may know a of a shout that could help us."

Cassandra looked surprised.
"A Thu'um? Why not a spell."

Arci shrugged.
"I'm always anxious to learn a new Thu'um. And besides, if I had a spell for it it would make everything seem to easy." She pulled out a small book from her pocket.
"Dov... Zul, Zaan." She wispered. Instantly, the air moved away from her in a light shockwave, and draconic letters floated around all of them in a thin mist for a few seconds... Then... Nothing. It all seemed as normal.
"Did it work?" She asked herself and looked at Alexis. It did, infact work. He would be able to understand her as if she spoke his language and vise versa. They could all understand Alexis and he could understand them now. She looked at Cass,
"If it worked, the Thu'um is making us all speak in the language of Dovah, or Dragon, you should know. We're all just hearing each other in our native tongue. Pretty neat effect."
