"Did you see THAT thunder?!"
(This invoked the response was 'No! Cuz' you can't SEE thunder!')
Name: Sigmund Michael
Nicknames: Sigil (AKA: ‘The Lost Seraph’—developed from his rescue of 4 children in a nearby forest, as well as a play on the fact that he seems to have no idea what he’s doing)
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Type: Alteration and Destruction Hybrid
Spells: Currently he only knows two tangible spells.
- Angel's Blessing: A self developed alteration spell which allows Sigil to form wings of energy on his back. These wings ARE flight capable but only last three minutes as of right now.
- Solaris: Another self developed spell--this one, however, is an alteration-destruction hybrid. He can convert light energy from the sun into tangible pure energy. He isn't too good at controlling this yet... So far, he is able to shoot small balls of light as well as turn his own weapon into a near-laser blade.
Homeland: Araluen. Born and raised there.
Description: His hair is unkempt and a shade of brown often described as the color of warm chocolate. Sigil has bright blue eyes and looks younger than his age—15—and his usual mannerisms don’t help him seem his age. His features are soft and occasionally noted to be feminine. He is 5”5’, weighs 110 lbs., and is has a thin appearance.
Equipment:
As a mage, Sigil's spells aren't powerful in the offensive sense. He makes up for this by wielding a Guan Dao--a halberd-like weapon. This weapon is also often manipulated through alteration magic to be made more portable, casually it takes the form of a golden wristband.
In regards to protection, Sigil’s battle style revolves around swift movements and, thus, he only wears light armors—a chest plate and forearm armor just thick enough to deflect scraping blows, and thin metal shin guards to prevent attacks at the legs.
Clothing: The boy is, nearly always, seen dressed in white, black, and blue. He typically wears a white, silk scarf--a gift from his friend--which is often left dangling over his left shoulder. Sigil also usually wears a white vest over his clothes which typically include a black shirt and slightly baggy, dark blue pants. (Note: Unlike depicted in the image below, Sigil does NOT have usually have wings...)
Personality: Sigil has two edges. The personality that is most often seen can be described in a single world: upbeat. He is an optimistic, happy-go-lucky, light hearted, and, at times, jumpy kid who is simply enjoying the world of Aincrad and every aspect of it. He often makes attempts at being awesome, with outrageous stunts, and comedic, with jokes, puns (much to the dismay of others around him), and the occasional sarcasm—ironically, he often misses the sarcasm aimed at him. Sigil is very outgoing and talks a lot—often too much for his own good. He loves combat—of all types. He is unable to understand the idea of one person killing another and cannot perform the task himself. He truly doesn’t mind how he travels, with a group or solo, and enjoys it either way. The boy fights with and for his friends—he would do anything to keep them from dying.
The other side of Sigil, which only shows up in the direst of situations, is significantly more serious. He is much more realistic, though not exactly pessimistic. He is also calmer and takes only minimal actions unlike his casual self. In concerns with killing, he is willing to do so, though, only if necessary. This Sigil would rather fight as a soloist than fight in a team—benefits be darned—though, he is still driven to protect those around him (he would never admit it, but he enjoys the presence of others).
