Appearance:
Your first glance at Will mightn't lead you to think he's that much of a threat. Sure, he's tall, but his frame is narrow. On closer inspection, however, you will discover that his build consists entirely of muscle. There isn't an ounce of fat to be found anywhere on his body. He's incredibly strong and fast for this reason, his fitness being incredibly valuable to him. His hair is dark brown and usually worn in whatever style is fashionable at the time. His face is as narrow as his frame, his cheekbones prominent. His eyes are an icy blue. Leather jackets are his trademark, and he'll wear them with everything except a suit. Button down shirts, vests, t-shirts... Besides that, he's usually found in either skinny jeans and Converse or combat boots- unless he's going for practicality over style.

  • He's afraid that the witch may still be able to control him with his old heart.
  • Ever since he turned to tin, he's had an incredible fear of water.

Personality:
Will was never exactly heartless. It was more so that he was willing to go to any lengths to get what he wanted. He'd be willing to help you out, but at the back of his mind, he'd be working out ways to spin it so that he benefited out of it. He was selfish, yes, but he did still have a conscience and even occasionally listened to it. He was generally good humoured and pleasant, and would only turn on you when he really needed to. However, when his heart was ripped out, that changed. His conscience was gone. He had to do everything the Queen wanted him to, and didn't feel anything about it. He can't remember much from those times, but he's pretty sure that he did some horrific things.

Now, he's confused about who he is and what his purpose is. He only has vague memories of who he was back before his heart was ripped out. He's still got an incredible thirst for power, but his new heart is pushing him to be good. This is causing a conflict between his old and new self and is so leaving him in a constant state of disorientation. He's slowly rediscovering himself, but the slow process is frustrating him and making things worse. He's currently working as a bounty hunter, aware that he used to do something similar, but took some time away due to his mental confusion

History:
Will was drawn to power from a young age. He was always in with the popular kids, hooked on the power that came with them. People wanted to come to his parties because he was one of the cool kids. Luckily for him, his parents were fine with house parties, on the condition that he cleaned up afterwards. He balanced working part-time jobs for money, studying to keep his parents happy and hanging out with his friends flawlessly- mostly because if he didn't, he'd be at risk of losing his beloved power. But things changed, and he found himself having to manipulate people to stay on top. Not that he minded this- manipulation gave him even more power.

In his first year of university, he met a beautiful girl. She was completely besotted with him, but he didn't really feel anything for her. Still, she was incredibly popular, and he realised that dating her could mean that he gained even more power- so he went with it. Unbeknownst to him, she was a powerful witch. And when, after almost four years of dating, she discovered that he'd been using her, she snapped. She ripped out his heart and sent him and it to the Queen in return for quite a sum of money. For two long years, he served as her huntsman and loyal servant, unable to do anything except her command. He was asleep when she was killed, and so was free.

However, only temporarily. The witch returned and on finding that the Queen was dead and that Will was intending to retrieve his heart, she hatched a plan, lying in wait for him, before cursing him to turn to metal. She dragged him out to the forest and left him there with only a can of oil to oil his joints. He remained there for three years, until a young girl and a scarecrow passed by and helped him. He travelled with them to meet the Wizard. The Wizard forged him a new heart and wove a spell that changed him back into a real man again.

However, the Wizard later told him the problems that may come with it. The damage done to his metal joints was irreparable and so transferred to his human form. The spell was more than likely not permanent, but the Wizard promised that he was working on a more permanent spell. And his heart was not a replacement for his old heart and that he could not expect to be the same person he had been.

Will travelled around, trying to rediscover who he was. But doing so only caused more conflicts, and he ended up working just to distract himself. But that didn't work either, continuing to worsen the conflict. He ended up going back travelling, hearing of a small town that was rumoured to be magical. If anywhere could provide an answer, surely it had to be there.

Other:
He suffers from pain in his joints due to the damage done while he was a tin man, and now has to take painkillers to control it. He has a cane to use when it gets bad but hates using it.

So begins...

Will wasn't sure what part of him hurt the most. The suspension in this car was terrible, but the old woman driving didn't seem to mind. She seemed to be in better shape than Will, to be honest- not that that was his fault. Goddamn joint problems. His doctor had told him that he probably shouldn't drive in case he caused an accident, meaning that he'd had to hitchhike across the country in the hope of getting to Crimson Grove. But finally, after far too many crappy motels and walking too far, he'd reached it. He'd heard rumours of magic in this town, magic that could possibly finally solve his problems.

The old lady braked too hard and Will was thrown forward into his seat belt, pain exploding across his shoulder for a moment. He sat back, taking a deep breath and rubbing his shoulder. The old woman looked across at him, frowning. "You sure you'll be okay?" She asked. He nodded. He didn't want to spend another second in this goddamn car- he'd take the pain of walking. He needed to find a doctor and get some painkillers.

As much as he hated it, he really couldn't get by without his cane these days. So that was the first thing out of the car, followed by him and then his bags. The old woman watched, but didn't offer to help. He thanked her and started walking towards town, his teeth gritted and leaning heavily on the detested aid. He felt like an old man in more ways than one.

The pain was verging on unbearable as he made his way into town. It was busy, with people starting to go about their day. Will honestly had no clue where to start. Finding a doctor would be a good idea, but where was he going to start looking for one? The diner seemed to be quite busy. God knows how long it would take him to get served in there, and would anybody even have time to talk to him? He dragged himself over to a bench and sat down, taking a deep breath and trying to ignore the pain. Just a quick break, then, and then he'd head straight into one of the shops and start asking questions. Would a pharmacy give him painkillers without a prescription? Well, yes, but not the strength he wanted or needed.

ImageJasmine smiled, quite happy that she heard there was a place she would be able to stay until she was able to head back home. Home, where was that? she thought to herself, suddenly realizing she no longer remembered where that was. After a couple moments of her silence, it became apparent that Will had been waiting for her response.

"Thanks, that would be wonderful," Jasmine responded. Just as she answered his question, the sky began to throw a fit. She glanced up at the sky and immediately began to look over at Rajah. "You'll be okay boy," she reassured her companion before looking back over to Will. "He's scared of thunder," she added.

Once Eric started walking she followed alongside of him, she honestly couldn't wait to get to this hotel he was speaking of so she could get her room booked. Then food was the next thing on the menu, she would have to pick up some meats for Rajah to eat when she arrives at the grocery store.

ImageFlynn smirked when he heard her bring up Maude's. That was an amazing day, one of the best the two of them have ever done. "I'll give you a chance at feeling the adrenaline this time I had too much fun at Maude's," he responded as he stood to his feet and pulled out the matches from his pocket, showing them to Gold very briefly in a way no one else would notice before stepping into the male's restroom.

Flynn looked up at the ceiling for the water spicket before lighting the match and holding it up to the spicket, waiting for it to signal that there was a fire in the building. Just as the water began running out the spicket in the bathroom, he ran out the door, acting as if there were a real fire in the restroom and pulled the fire alarm, setting off that loud, annoying beeping sound and activating the other water spickets in the building. "There's a fire!" he shouted over the loudness in the building before heading out the door with the rest of the crowd. That's when he gave Gold their signal. It was now her turn.

Before Trixie got a response from the strange woman, the fire alarm went off and Flynn started yelling about a fire in the bathroom. Trixie frowned. She couldn't smell any smoke or anything, but maybe it was small or wasn't smoking very much. Glancing briefly at the strange woman, she stood up. As soon as she was on her feet, she was practically carried out of the diner by the crowd. She was outside before she realised that she didn't have her backpack. Her heart suddenly dropped, and without thinking, she made a burst for the diner. Somebody tried to stop her, but she just ducked under their arm and stayed running. Her bag was still where she had been sitting, and she picked it up, checking that its contents were still there. It was only once she knew that everything was still there that she realised something. If there was a fire, there surely should have been more smoke by now. Gripping the pixie dust around her neck tightly, she cautiously made her way into the bathroom. The ladies' was perfectly clear, and she couldn't even smell a trace of smoke. That gave her the courage to check the men's- which was just as clear. There hadn't been any fire here- or even any trace of one.

She made her way back outside, clutching the straps of her bag tightly. Why would have Flynn said that there was a fire if there hadn't been? There hadn't even been anything to indicate the possibility of a fire starting. A shiver ran down her spine, and she glanced over at Gretel. The poor girl looked really upset, and while her and Trixie mightn't have been the best of friends, she felt obligated to say something.

Tink made her way over to Gretel, still holding onto the straps of her bag. "Gretel? Can I talk to you?" She asked, glancing over her shoulder to check where Flynn was. She had a bit of a bad feeling about this whole thing, and while she didn't want to make any assumptions, she knew that Flynn and Gold weren't exactly the most trustworthy pairing.

Even in his pain-hazed state, Will couldn't miss the chaos as the patrons of the diner piled out onto the street, all turning and staring back at the building. He turned around to watch, hearing mutterings of a fire. Everybody seemed understandably panicked, but there was some confusion as well. This would be an excellent opportunity to talk to them and find out where he could find a doctor. Hopefully they'd be willing to talk to him, even after the whole diner thing.

He stood up, wincing, and made his way over to the crowd. He stopped a few metres away and scanned the crowd. There was a girl with tight curly blonde hair talking to a tall dark and handsome type, but they didn't seem particularly friendly. Eventually, he gave up on trying to pick someone and just went up to the person nearest him and tapped them on the shoulder gently. "I'm sorry, but I don't suppose you could tell me where I could find a doctor?"

ImageJust before Flynn was able to get any answer from Gold, the two of them were interrupted by a male asking about a doctor. He glanced over at the man and nodded his head, finding this a good reason to retreat from the diner. "Sure, we can lead you to the hospital, just follow us," he stated as he slid his hands into his jean pockets and began leading the way.

Just as they rounded a corner he looked towards the male and spoke up, "I'm Flynn and this is Gold. Welcome to Crimson Grove, I assume you're new here?" he stated to the male, over the sirens and commotion that was slowly becoming quieter and quieter the farther away from it they became.

The man introduced him and the curly haired woman as Flynn and Gold. It wasn't exactly hard to tell where Gold had gotten her name from- her blonde ringlets said enough. He nodded as Flynn asked if he was new to town. "Yeah, I just got here, actually. I've heard a lot of things about this place," he said. In dark bars where nobody looked too closely at the patrons, whispers of a magical town had reached Will's ears. If you were looking for magic and Oz wouldn't or couldn't help, go to Crimson Grove. At first, he'd thought that the ghostly pale woman he'd spoken to had just been a tourist rep or something- but when he'd heard it from a dwarf, a woman who always wore a veil and only ever whispered, and a vampire had all told him about it, he figured it was worth trying. He was going to need more magic than ever after that journey.

"I'm Will, by the way. Will Fletcher," he said, looking at his new companions. They seemed... ordinary. Just another step in his journey. They could have just been somebody giving him a lift somewhere. Nothing extraordinary about them. Nothing magical about them. He kept walking, still leaning heavily on his cane with every step. One of the doctors had suggested something a little more effective, such as crutches or a frame, for when the pain was particularly bad, but Will had refused, simply deciding to take more painkillers to deal with that. It had seemed like a good idea at the time, but he'd then run out too quickly on the journey.

"Good job, what were you able to get?" Flynn asked, slinging an arm over Gold's shoulders and leading them away from the group. Gold leaned into his side slightly. She loved the feeling of the two of them against the world. It was much less lonely than doing this thing by yourself. Though Gold would never, ever, admit to feeling lonely, not even to Flynn or herself. "Anything good?"

Gold shrugged slightly. Gold loved Flynn like her other half, but he was a boy. She didn't think he'd regard her cloak theft as a big a thing as Gold did. "You should have seen me though!" She said excited, tapping his chest to make sure he was paying attention. "I was all over that thing. Crawling about, sticking to walls. Plus I got the till open super fast, I think I may have broken my own record." Gold rehashed her thievery with a lot of enthusiasm. Though it took a lot of restraint to keep her voice down, and away from the ears of all the people around them. When gold got excited her voice tended to get loud.

"So I got the money from the till, but there wasn't much there, a couple hundred tops. There was a safe but it was a combination." Gold kept her eyes ahead. Watching everyone around them, especially the ones who were close or looked at them. A thief's job wasn't to be sneaky, but to be unnoticed. Of course Gold had far too much ego, pride and hair to go unnoticed, but not being noticed what what she was supposed to do. She smiled meanly when she thought about how Ruby would react to finding her precious cloak missing. Gold had hated Ruby since the moment she heard about her. Gold felt Ruby was the very definition of being born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Which Gold wouldn't mind, if she didn't feel Ruby always tried to act like her life was hard and she'd done everything on her own."I did get this one things though," Gold said trailing off as a man with a limp approached the two of them. She let out an annoyed 'tsk' as she realised she'd have to wait to tell Flynn what she found.

"I'm sorry, but I don't suppose you could tell me where I could find a doctor?" Gold rolled her eyes, and looked up at Flynn with a mean look. They two of them did not help other people. Period.

[b]"Sure, we can lead you to the hospital, just follow us," Flynn said ignoring Gold. He walked off, leading the way to hospital, but Gold just stood rooted to the ground. Staring at Flynn's back like he'd just turned into an alien in front of her eyes. Frowning, she jogged and caught up to the two boys and fell into pace with them. If Flynn wanted to play helpful citizen, she supposed she'd have to join him. "I'm Flynn and this is Gold. Welcome to Crimson Grove, I assume you're new here?" Flynn said introducing the two of them, Gold just nodded when he said her name.

"Yeah, I just got here, actually. I've heard a lot of things about this place," The guy replied. "I'm Will, by the way. Will Fletcher.

"You should believe everything you hear. Besides, who would even talk about a dead end town like this one," Gold replied instantly. She had been wrong more than once, when trusting local gossip about who had secret money stored away. She had learnt a long time ago that people just liked to gossip.

Gold couldn't help but notice Will's limp and they way he leaned on his cane. It looked painful, and like it would be an everyday struggle. "What happened to you leg?" Gold asked bluntly, wrinkling up her nose and pointing to his cane, as they walked around a corner, coming up to hospital. She had already guessed the guy didn't have much money and she didn't think he was particularly attractive, so she had no reason to hold back her more blunt thoughts.

He smirked as the girl told him not to believe everything he'd heard. She didn't seem particularly happy to have him there. Before he could even comment on that, she asked about his leg. He shrugged.

"If I told you everything that happened, you wouldn't believe me," he said, grinning a little at her. Judging by the speed at which she'd told him not to believe everything about the town, she certainly wouldn't believe his story. It was completely ridiculous to anybody who hadn't lived in Oz or the surrounding land at any point, and she certainly didn't look like a Munchkin.

"Let's just say that I hurt somebody a long time ago, but my punishment far outweighed what I did to them, and now I'm left with this," he said. Turns out being turned to tin caused more problems than one would think. His heart, however, was as good as ever- thanks to the Wizard. Will couldn't help but think that there had to have been something that the Wizard could have done- if making a heart was that easy to him, shouldn't fixing some rust damage be too? But evidently not.

ImageIt wasn't much longer until the three of them approached the hospital. "Well, here we are," he stated before turning on his heels and started heading back the way they came. He stopped in his tracks and turned back towards Will, "Um, I hope things will be alright," he stated before returning on his way. Honestly he had no idea why he was being so nice to this man. He hadn't met him before in his life and he was never nice to anyone except Gold.

Once Flynn and Gold were a good distance away from Will he spoke up to the spitfire blonde. "Before you say anything, I honestly don't know what's going on with me. For some reason I felt a need to help this man out and I always listen to my gut," he explained. But for right now, I think we should head back to our hotel room, to get away from all of this chaos and wait until it all dies down a bit,"[/color] he added.

Trixie glanced over her shoulder. Flynn was gone, as was his constant companion. She had a bad feeling about the two of them, and while she didn't want to make any accusations, she couldn't ignore it. Before she could say anything about the fire itself, a fireman appeared and gave Gretel the good news. Trixie shrugged as Gretel turned to talk to her. "Well, that nice fireman just told you the first part. I had to go back in to get my bag-" she held up the bag as if to show what she meant, "-and there was no sign of a fire. Like, literally nothing. So now I have a bad feeling about that Flynn guy," she said, glancing over her shoulder. "Like, Ruby told me to watch my stuff when they came in, and I can't help but feel that there was something bad happening. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't know," she said, shrugging a little.

Ruby arrived, clearly and understandably upset and worried. Trixie turned to her. "There was a false alarm. Flynn whatshisface set off the alarm and started yelling about a fire, but there was no sign of a fire when I went back in for my bag, and the fireman said the same thing," she explained. Trixie's hand went to the bottle of pixie dust around her neck as she glanced over her shoulder, still scanning the crowd for them.

The hospital was nearer than Will had been expecting. His companions said their goodbyes and left again. Everything about them seemed to be hurried, but Will didn't dwell on it for too long. He made his way into the hospital and up to the desk. The nurse there looked up and smiled.
"Can I help you?" she asked.
"Hopefully," he said, smiling. "Are there any doctors free I could talk to? I have a problem with my joints that causes me quite a lot of pain, and I was hoping to get a prescription for painkillers." He always had to be careful to phrase it so he didn't sound like a junkie, trying to make up an excuse to get his fix.
"Oh, you poor thing. I can check for you," she said, and started typing at her computer. He stood there in silence, praying that there would be someone. One x-ray would show them the damage if they didn't believe the cane. The nurse pulled a face as she looked back up at him.
"No, honey, I'm afraid not. Nobody will be free to talk for another day or so," she said. His fist clenched around the handle of his cane.
"Is there really nobody I can talk to? I ran out three days ago and have been in quite a lot of pain ever since," he said, determined to get as much sympathy from her as possible. She frowned, tapping at the edge of her keyboard.
"Take a seat in the waiting area, I'll see what I can do," she said eventually. He smiled at her and took a seat, glad to have the weight off of his feet. Of course he'd wanted a heart more than he'd wanted this joints problem fixed.

"Let's just say that I hurt somebody a long time ago, but my punishment far outweighed what I did to them, and now I'm left with this." He said good naturedly having grinned at her a little.

Gold didn't smile back though she just crossed her arms and pouted a little. "That's awfully vague," She replied bluntly obviously a little upset about not getting an answer. However before she could complain much they arrived at the hospital. Flynn sent the man on his way and the two of them turned and set off. After a few steps Gold turned to Flynn to tell him something to find that he had already stopped and was looking back at the man with the cane.

"Um, I hope things will be all right," he said before turning back and walking ahead, leaving Gold standing there looking incredulous. Then when she finally managed to shack off her shock she took a few quick steps and caught up with him. Steady her pace to match his. Flynn had long legs, so Gold always had to walk a little bit fast to fall into step beside him. When the got a fair distance away from the hospital, Flynn spoke up. "Before you say anything, I honestly don't know what's going on with me. For some reason I felt a need to help this man out and I always listen to my gut,"he explained.

Gold didn't say anything processing what he had just said with a strange look on her face, before finally she replied, "okay." She shrugged and didn't mention anything other than that. Which was very out of character for her not to at least complain a little. However she'd known Flynn a really long time, and she knew he always listened to his gut, and he was usually rigght about most things. So, she'd give him this one.

"For right now, I think we should head back to our hotel room, to get away from all of this chaos and wait until it all dies down a bit," Flynn said.

"Definitely," Gold replied nodding though she was more up for getting out of her wet clothes than away from the chaos.

Gold and Flynn got back to their hotel room, and Gold immediately got out the cash she had snatched from the register and gave Flynn his half. "This is what I got from the register, it's not much," she said, it was only about a hundred or so each. "Close the door," She said pointing to the door as she started stripping off her wet clothes. Gold and Flynn had been close for ages so she didn't really think twice about getting changed in front of him. Though Gold was a pretty open person with little modesty so she'd get changed in front of anyone.

"Check out what's in my bag," Gold said throwing her bag onto her bed as she changed into a baggy tee shirt the she had stolen from Flynn ages ago and shorts. She laid out her wet clothes and then laid down on her bed sprawling out looking up at Flynn. "So?" She asked, waiting for his reaction to the cloak she had stolen.
