ImageAfter a couple more moments of calling out to Belle there was nothing but silence. She tuned into her wolf instincts and was able to hear moving upstairs, she figured Belle was up in her father's room. Doing what was a good question though. The only times Belle ever went into her father's room was for emergencies, she hoped everything was okay, she hoped Jack had her father calmed down. That's when it hit her, what was Jack doing with her father? She hadn't even known the two of them knew each other, much less spoke to each other. The closest she had ever seen Jack to her father was outside her house in the middle of the night.

Ruby let out a sigh and shook the thoughts from her head as she climbed the stairs and went up to her father's room. She slowly opened the door finding Belle with a wolf in front of her. Glass was all over the floor, she was cleaning it up. Her father once again had to be hiding in the shadows of the room.

The brunette entered the room and looked at the wolf in front of Belle and signaled for him to leave Belle alone, that she was okay and the wolf walked off. "Come on Belle, don't worry about the glass, I'll take care of it. I need to speak to my father anyway, in private. Go ahead and take your break." she stated as she helped her friend up from the floor.

Things really were beginning to get real strange around town, almost as if there were a full moon coming up, but the full moon had already passed this month. What was going on in Crimson Grove? There were newcomers left and right, her father has been acting a bit more anxious than usual, she began seeing Jack around her home more often, she had a feeling her father was hiding something.

Gretel’s head whipped up as water started literally falling from the ceiling. She frowned curiously for a second, processing exactly what was happening. She couldn’t seem to understand why it was raining inside.

"There's a fire!" Flynn yelled across the dinner, coming out of the bathroom.

Shit.” She cursed as it suddenly hit her that there was a fire. “Everyone there’s a fire!” She called, repeating Flynn’s warning for no real reason. She just felt like at the one Ruby had left in charge she had to say something. Then she started ushering people of the diner out on the street, making sure to stick her head into the kitchen and make sure the chef made it out okay. As everyone was mostly outside she started trying to mentally make sure everyone was out safe. She would never forgive herself

Once out on the street waiting for the firemen to show up, it hit her. Gretel had been left in charge of the diner for all of fifteen minutes and there was a fire. She sighed before addressing the people around, “So, Ruby is probably going to kill me. Sorry about your guys meals though.” She supposed she was just destined to destroy everything she touched. She ripped off her apron as she realised she had lost her first job on her first day. “Oh, well, I guess I’ll be back working with the oldies then,” Gretel said grumpily. She didn’t even bother trying to see the upside of her causing a fire. Hansel would definitely laugh at her when he heard about this. Then probably tell her off. She didn’t know which sounded worse.

Gretel is no expert on fires, considering she has never actually really seen a house fire or anything. She figured the sprinklers must have put out the fire though because she couldn’t see any flames or smoke through the glass front. Hopefully that meant the fire wouldn’t have of had a chance to damage much of the diner.

She didn’t really know what she was supposed to do now, considering she had been left in charge, but she realised she better call Ruby. Sighing she reluctantly pulled out her phone and typed in Ruby’s number, putting it to her ear as she heard the dial tone. “Hey, it’s me Gretel. There’s been a fire at your diner. I’m sorry,” Gretel said into the phone, not even thinking about whether she was talking to Ruby or Ruby’s voicemail.

"I'll give you a chance at feeling the adrenaline this time I had too much fun at Maude's," Flynn answered.

Gold smirked happily. “I was hoping you were going to say that.” Being the distraction was fun, and Gold’s parents would probably be happy that the acting classes Gold went to when she was 8 and was going through her ‘I want to be a famous movie star phase’ were getting some use. The real fun would always been the sneaking around the robbery though. That was where all the action was, and that was where Gold wanted to be.

She nodded inconspicuously as Flynn showed her the matches. Then she got up and left the store. Leaning against the brick wall of the back of Ruby’s door waiting for Flynn to set the sprinklers off, she pulled her mane of curl into a high ponytail. She always pulled her hair back on a job. That when she realised what she was about to do. She frowned realising she shouldn’t have taken so long doing her hair, and she shouldn’t have worn such nice clothes. The water was going to ruin her hair and clothes.

Then she heard the sprinkles go off and she leaped into action. She counted out thirty second to make sure everyone had left the back of the store before she let herself in through the back door. The trouble with Ruby’s dinner was that the whole store front was glass, and everyone should now be standing around on the other side of the glass able to clearly see most of what was going on. Gold walked around the kitchen, squinting to see through the water spray out of the roof sprinklers. She couldn’t see any obvious signs of money here.

She moved out into the diner, but stayed crouched down behind the bar so no one could see her from outside. She made her way to the register, and pulling out her lock pick, Gold set to work getting the register drawer open, very aware of how long Flynn’s little diversion would for. After a few minute she got the drawer open, but being so early in the day there were only a big notes in there. Gold grabbed the larger notes and shoved them into her back pocket, before putting the register back.

She continued sneaking around looking for a safe or something that Ruby kept the serious money in. Gold eventually found such a safe, but it was a combination lock safe. Not something she could break into with the minimal tools she had on her and the time Flynn had given her. Sighing about coming about on the rather lighter side of a robbery, Gold headed back to kitchen and was preparing to leave when she noticed the red cape that Ruby always wore lying on one of the benches.

Gold immediately smiled to herself and strode across the kitchen and picked it up, it was soaked in water, but it didn’t matter Gold pulled it over her shoulder and spun around. It felt luxurious. Taking the coat with her, Gold left the store. She may not have gotten much of the money she had dreamed off but now she had a lovely red cape to make up for it.

Closing the kitchen door behind her, Gold ringed out the water out of her hair and clothes. Then she hid the cape in her bag before walking back to the front on the store and inconspicuously slipping into the crowd of people watching the store, sidling up to Flynn, giving him a knowing grin. “Too easy,” she whispered slyly.

When Jack arrived at the Hood's house, it didn't take him long before he felt like something bad was about to happen. He doesn't get this feeling too often, but whenever he does, he tries to listen to it before all else. This time, the feeling almost made him sick. Touching his stomach as he parked the bike, went around the side a bit and he glanced up at Loup's window.

"You know Mr. Wolf, you are going to get me into deep shit one day and you'd have no one to blame but yourself." Jack said as he made his way up the window. He would have used his powers, but for some reason, he's been feeling a bit drained. No, he knew the reason, just didn't want to say it or think it.

There was broken mirror everywhere, but he didn't bother with it. "I'm so not cleaning that up. If only the Evil queen saw this, she'd probably poison you with an apple." He joked as he sat down at the balcony. Least his bad feeling wasn't too bad...

Hood would have turned around to see Jack, but the sound of his door started to open. At first he thought it was Ruby, but the scent overwhelmed him and he found himself frozen knowing now who it really was. Everything ounce of his body twitched, shifting his weight to watch this woman pick up the broken mirror shards. She smelt like sweet honey to him with a hint of leather and the pages of books. His hand lifted without his control and he wanted so badly to touch her.

Once she looked up at him, he saw fear in her eyes. Her perfect skin had turned pale and her words were trembling. With that moment he understood. Narrowing his eyes, he pulled his hand back at the same moment Jack caught onto it and Ruby rushed into the room. Hood no longer cared anymore as he left jack tug him away, along with Ruby shooing him off.

"Come on Belle, don't worry about the glass, I'll take care of it. I need to speak to my father anyway, in private. Go ahead and take your break." Ruby spoke to Belle.

And there went that bad feeling Jack thought was a mistake. Belle's hand rushed into the sound of danger yet again. Who runs to the sound of a howling animal and glass breaking? He could only assume she hand done that. It would be the only reason she'd rush into an unknown room. To think he had it in for him whenever he looked over Ariel, but at least she wasn't as bad as Belle when it came to things like this.

"Whoa Whoa Whoa! How about be not go into unknown rooms unattended, Belle. You should know the Hood family cherishes Wolves. It's only natural that they owned a few or a pack." Jack shrugged as he pulled Hood away laughing. "Now now, Mister Wolfiepooooo~, no need to look so down, you just startled her is all." He patted Hood's head like a good doggie.

Hood looked over at Jack in an 'are you kidding me?!' way. Jack had paused for a moment and then busted out in a hard laughter. Jack couldn't help it. It was a too good of a chance to pass up, treating Hood like a dog. Hood leaned over and snapped at Jack as Jack pulled back quicker and jumped over into the balcony as he kept laughing.

He watched as Ruby got Belle out of the room safely. Did she have such little faith in her father? He wasn't such a bad guy, just always in a cranky mood, but being a wolf would do that to anyone. With a long sigh he leaned himself against the frame of the balcony, arms crossed and head rested against the frame as well.

"You should make sure she doesn't come into unknown rooms. Especially here. Look Ruby, I know we don't now each other, but Belles she's like my sister, it'd suck if something happened to her." His eyes had become serious as he lifted his head to look at her properly.

Hood interrupted. "We might need a better door for this room. Maybe a metal one." Getting up he looked over at Ruby. "Sorry for that my love. She surprised me by coming in here."

He glanced over at Jack. "What's are you here for anyway and in that form, it's daytime."

Jack shooed off the question and shook his head. "Yeah, how about another time." As Jack turned he felt a sudden rush of dizziness. Catching himself on the railing of the balcony, he started to see the ground spin. Then suddenly he stopped. For a moment there he thought he heard someone in his head. When he looked at his hands, they were covered in frost, just like the spot he was gripping onto. "Well,... It looks like it's time for me to head out." He said that, but he wasn't so sure he could make it out the window at this rate. Instead he sat down, pressing his face against the cooled stone.

ImageOnce Belle was safely out of the room she returned to the room, finding Jack speaking with her father. She stood there in silence, waiting for a moment she could speak up. But just before she was about to say something, Jack spoke, "You should make sure she doesn't come into unknown rooms. Especially here. Look Ruby, I know we don't know each other, but Belle, she's like my sister, it'd suck if something happened to her." At those words she nodded her head in agreement. She wasn't exactly sure what to do or say at that moment. All that seemed to go through her head was the shock that Belle knew Jack. She just wondered if Belle knew about her strange fascination with the male. On that note she shook the thought out of her head.

"We might need a better door for this room. Maybe a metal one," her father chimed in. At those words she took note, she would have to go out and a get metal door and find someone who would be able to help her lift it and change the door, someone she could trust. "Sorry for that my love. She surprised me by coming in here." her father added.

Ruby nodded her head at her father, "It's alright, it's not your fault. I'll be sure to look into getting a door for you sometime today," she responded before going silent once more as her father addressed Jack. Once their small conversation was over, Jack began on his way out the window. That was something she couldn't seem to understand, why he always came and went out the window, but it wasn't her business to question. But after a couple moments, she noticed Jack lean his head against the stone, stopping himself from going out the window.

She glanced over at him with a curious look on her face, "Is everything alright?" she stated as she glanced between her father and Jack, thinking that her father might have an idea what was going on with him.

ImageJust as he thought, it took a matter of ten minutes for the fire department to show up. Just before they pulled up, he spotted Gold at his side. He gave her a sly smirk and wrapped his arm around her shoulders before pushing through the crowd. "Good job, what were you able to get?" he questioned in a hushed tone, keeping their conversation away from listening ears. With the two of them whispering to each other, it would be extremely difficult for anyone to hear them over the sirens and commotion out on the streets. He couldn't wait to see Ruby's face when she realized that they have hit her shop when she was gone. "Anything good?" he questioned.

Flynn hoped this was worth it, if they were able to get a bit of money and something of value, the two of them would be set for a bit until they were able to find another "job". He took a quick glance over at Gretel, the poor girl looked a bit stressed from this incident. It just made him chuckle a bit. He returned his attention to his partner in crime as they stood on the sidewalk, away from the huge crowd that was beginning to flood the streets.

Before Trixie got a response from the strange woman, the fire alarm went off and Flynn started yelling about a fire in the bathroom. Trixie frowned. She couldn't smell any smoke or anything, but maybe it was small or wasn't smoking very much. Glancing briefly at the strange woman, she stood up. As soon as she was on her feet, she was practically carried out of the diner by the crowd. She was outside before she realised that she didn't have her backpack. Her heart suddenly dropped, and without thinking, she made a burst for the diner. Somebody tried to stop her, but she just ducked under their arm and stayed running. Her bag was still where she had been sitting, and she picked it up, checking that its contents were still there. It was only once she knew that everything was still there that she realised something. If there was a fire, there surely should have been more smoke by now. Gripping the pixie dust around her neck tightly, she cautiously made her way into the bathroom. The ladies' was perfectly clear, and she couldn't even smell a trace of smoke. That gave her the courage to check the men's- which was just as clear. There hadn't been any fire here- or even any trace of one.

She made her way back outside, clutching the straps of her bag tightly. Why would have Flynn said that there was a fire if there hadn't been? There hadn't even been anything to indicate the possibility of a fire starting. A shiver ran down her spine, and she glanced over at Gretel. The poor girl looked really upset, and while her and Trixie mightn't have been the best of friends, she felt obligated to say something.

Tink made her way over to Gretel, still holding onto the straps of her bag. "Gretel? Can I talk to you?" She asked, glancing over her shoulder to check where Flynn was. She had a bit of a bad feeling about this whole thing, and while she didn't want to make any assumptions, she knew that Flynn and Gold weren't exactly the most trustworthy pairing.

Even in his pain-hazed state, Will couldn't miss the chaos as the patrons of the diner piled out onto the street, all turning and staring back at the building. He turned around to watch, hearing mutterings of a fire. Everybody seemed understandably panicked, but there was some confusion as well. This would be an excellent opportunity to talk to them and find out where he could find a doctor. Hopefully they'd be willing to talk to him, even after the whole diner thing.

He stood up, wincing, and made his way over to the crowd. He stopped a few metres away and scanned the crowd. There was a girl with tight curly blonde hair talking to a tall dark and handsome type, but they didn't seem particularly friendly. Eventually, he gave up on trying to pick someone and just went up to the person nearest him and tapped them on the shoulder gently. "I'm sorry, but I don't suppose you could tell me where I could find a doctor?"

ImageJust before Flynn was able to get any answer from Gold, the two of them were interrupted by a male asking about a doctor. He glanced over at the man and nodded his head, finding this a good reason to retreat from the diner. "Sure, we can lead you to the hospital, just follow us," he stated as he slid his hands into his jean pockets and began leading the way.

Just as they rounded a corner he looked towards the male and spoke up, "I'm Flynn and this is Gold. Welcome to Crimson Grove, I assume you're new here?" he stated to the male, over the sirens and commotion that was slowly becoming quieter and quieter the farther away from it they became.

The man introduced him and the curly haired woman as Flynn and Gold. It wasn't exactly hard to tell where Gold had gotten her name from- her blonde ringlets said enough. He nodded as Flynn asked if he was new to town. "Yeah, I just got here, actually. I've heard a lot of things about this place," he said. In dark bars where nobody looked too closely at the patrons, whispers of a magical town had reached Will's ears. If you were looking for magic and Oz wouldn't or couldn't help, go to Crimson Grove. At first, he'd thought that the ghostly pale woman he'd spoken to had just been a tourist rep or something- but when he'd heard it from a dwarf, a woman who always wore a veil and only ever whispered, and a vampire had all told him about it, he figured it was worth trying. He was going to need more magic than ever after that journey.

"I'm Will, by the way. Will Fletcher," he said, looking at his new companions. They seemed... ordinary. Just another step in his journey. They could have just been somebody giving him a lift somewhere. Nothing extraordinary about them. Nothing magical about them. He kept walking, still leaning heavily on his cane with every step. One of the doctors had suggested something a little more effective, such as crutches or a frame, for when the pain was particularly bad, but Will had refused, simply deciding to take more painkillers to deal with that. It had seemed like a good idea at the time, but he'd then run out too quickly on the journey.

"Good job, what were you able to get?" Flynn asked, slinging an arm over Gold's shoulders and leading them away from the group. Gold leaned into his side slightly. She loved the feeling of the two of them against the world. It was much less lonely than doing this thing by yourself. Though Gold would never, ever, admit to feeling lonely, not even to Flynn or herself. "Anything good?"

Gold shrugged slightly. Gold loved Flynn like her other half, but he was a boy. She didn't think he'd regard her cloak theft as a big a thing as Gold did. "You should have seen me though!" She said excited, tapping his chest to make sure he was paying attention. "I was all over that thing. Crawling about, sticking to walls. Plus I got the till open super fast, I think I may have broken my own record." Gold rehashed her thievery with a lot of enthusiasm. Though it took a lot of restraint to keep her voice down, and away from the ears of all the people around them. When gold got excited her voice tended to get loud.

"So I got the money from the till, but there wasn't much there, a couple hundred tops. There was a safe but it was a combination." Gold kept her eyes ahead. Watching everyone around them, especially the ones who were close or looked at them. A thief's job wasn't to be sneaky, but to be unnoticed. Of course Gold had far too much ego, pride and hair to go unnoticed, but not being noticed what what she was supposed to do. She smiled meanly when she thought about how Ruby would react to finding her precious cloak missing. Gold had hated Ruby since the moment she heard about her. Gold felt Ruby was the very definition of being born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Which Gold wouldn't mind, if she didn't feel Ruby always tried to act like her life was hard and she'd done everything on her own."I did get this one things though," Gold said trailing off as a man with a limp approached the two of them. She let out an annoyed 'tsk' as she realised she'd have to wait to tell Flynn what she found.

"I'm sorry, but I don't suppose you could tell me where I could find a doctor?" Gold rolled her eyes, and looked up at Flynn with a mean look. They two of them did not help other people. Period.

[b]"Sure, we can lead you to the hospital, just follow us," Flynn said ignoring Gold. He walked off, leading the way to hospital, but Gold just stood rooted to the ground. Staring at Flynn's back like he'd just turned into an alien in front of her eyes. Frowning, she jogged and caught up to the two boys and fell into pace with them. If Flynn wanted to play helpful citizen, she supposed she'd have to join him. "I'm Flynn and this is Gold. Welcome to Crimson Grove, I assume you're new here?" Flynn said introducing the two of them, Gold just nodded when he said her name.

"Yeah, I just got here, actually. I've heard a lot of things about this place," The guy replied. "I'm Will, by the way. Will Fletcher.

"You should believe everything you hear. Besides, who would even talk about a dead end town like this one," Gold replied instantly. She had been wrong more than once, when trusting local gossip about who had secret money stored away. She had learnt a long time ago that people just liked to gossip.

Gold couldn't help but notice Will's limp and they way he leaned on his cane. It looked painful, and like it would be an everyday struggle. "What happened to you leg?" Gold asked bluntly, wrinkling up her nose and pointing to his cane, as they walked around a corner, coming up to hospital. She had already guessed the guy didn't have much money and she didn't think he was particularly attractive, so she had no reason to hold back her more blunt thoughts.

He smirked as the girl told him not to believe everything he'd heard. She didn't seem particularly happy to have him there. Before he could even comment on that, she asked about his leg. He shrugged.

"If I told you everything that happened, you wouldn't believe me," he said, grinning a little at her. Judging by the speed at which she'd told him not to believe everything about the town, she certainly wouldn't believe his story. It was completely ridiculous to anybody who hadn't lived in Oz or the surrounding land at any point, and she certainly didn't look like a Munchkin.

"Let's just say that I hurt somebody a long time ago, but my punishment far outweighed what I did to them, and now I'm left with this," he said. Turns out being turned to tin caused more problems than one would think. His heart, however, was as good as ever- thanks to the Wizard. Will couldn't help but think that there had to have been something that the Wizard could have done- if making a heart was that easy to him, shouldn't fixing some rust damage be too? But evidently not.

“Hey, it’s me Gretel. There’s been a fire at your diner. I’m sorry,” Gretel said, leaving a message on Ruby’s voicemail. She paused awkwardly looking around at the firemen showed up. Light flashing, sirens blaring. “Just maybe get here ASAP?” Gretel said hanging up. Hopefully Ruby got the message soon. Gretel really didn’t want the responsibility of dealing with this.

Gretel stepped forward and pointed the firemen inside the dinner, stepping back and letting them do, what they do. She wondered briefly how long it took for them to put a fire out. She also wondered how much damage there was going to be. She didn’t believe in god but she took a moment to say a silent prayer, that he let there not be much damage.
Then Trixie came up looking a little worried about something. “Gretel? Can I talk to you?” She asked.

“Uh?” Gretel said absent-minded, he focus still on the diner. “Um, Oh yeah, sure, what’s up Tink?” She said still not fully paying attention. Then when Trixie went to speak, Gretel, not paying attention, cut her off when the guy who looked to be the head fireman came up. “What’s the damage?” Gretel asked him, crossing her fingers behind her back for good luck.

“Well, actually, there was no fire, and we couldn’t see any sign of fire in the dinner.” The man replied, sternly.

“Seriously?” Gretel asked, sighing. As if there was no fire. Why had the smoke alarm gone off if there was no fire? That would be right, her worrying everyone of for no reason. Then the fireman went into a whole long speech about how fire safety is not a joke, and neither is wasting the department’s resources. Then the speech kind of took a turn into not being paranoid over every tiny bit of smoke. Of course the whole speech was received with a lot of exasperated sighs and eye rolls from Gretel, who stood with a defiant had on her hip. Finally the fireman left her and alone and went to go round up her group.

Gretel than turned back to Trixie. “That was ten minutes of my life, I’ll never get back,” Gretel said crossing her arms grumpily. She hated this feeling of having to take responsibility. None of this was her fault. “Sorry, did you have something you wanted to say?” She asked, still facing the retreating fireman with a serious frown on her face.

ImageRuby heard her phone go off and she lifted it into her hands, finding that there had been a missed call and a voicemail. This is strange, I didn't even know someone called me, she thought to herself. She opened the voicemail and pressed play before holding it up to her ear to hear Gretel speaking on the other end of the line, partially panicking. Ruby's eyes widened when she heard the news and she returned her attention to her father, "Sorry to cut this short but I need to go to the diner. Gretel says there was a fire. I'll speak with you later Daddy," she stated as she then rushed out of his room, closing the door behind her and ran straight out the house pass Belle without a word. The diner was one of the last things she had of her grandmother, she couldn't lose the place, not now.

Once Ruby finally arrived she stood in front of the building just staring at it. The place was soaked and ruined from the water damage but at that point she hadn't smelled any sign of a fire at her diner. What the hell is going on here? At that point she spotted Gretel speaking with Trixie, it looked as if it were something important, but this couldn't wait, she needed to find out what was going on.

The brunette approached Trixie and Gretel, "Sorry to interrupt, but what's going on here guys?" she questioned as she glanced between the two of them, hoping they would be able to tell her something.

ImageIt wasn't much longer until the three of them approached the hospital. "Well, here we are," he stated before turning on his heels and started heading back the way they came. He stopped in his tracks and turned back towards Will, "Um, I hope things will be alright," he stated before returning on his way. Honestly he had no idea why he was being so nice to this man. He hadn't met him before in his life and he was never nice to anyone except Gold.

Once Flynn and Gold were a good distance away from Will he spoke up to the spitfire blonde. "Before you say anything, I honestly don't know what's going on with me. For some reason I felt a need to help this man out and I always listen to my gut," he explained. But for right now, I think we should head back to our hotel room, to get away from all of this chaos and wait until it all dies down a bit," he added.

Trixie glanced over her shoulder. Flynn was gone, as was his constant companion. She had a bad feeling about the two of them, and while she didn't want to make any accusations, she couldn't ignore it. Before she could say anything about the fire itself, a fireman appeared and gave Gretel the good news. Trixie shrugged as Gretel turned to talk to her. "Well, that nice fireman just told you the first part. I had to go back in to get my bag-" she held up the bag as if to show what she meant, "-and there was no sign of a fire. Like, literally nothing. So now I have a bad feeling about that Flynn guy," she said, glancing over her shoulder. "Like, Ruby told me to watch my stuff when they came in, and I can't help but feel that there was something bad happening. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't know," she said, shrugging a little.

Ruby arrived, clearly and understandably upset and worried. Trixie turned to her. "There was a false alarm. Flynn whatshisface set off the alarm and started yelling about a fire, but there was no sign of a fire when I went back in for my bag, and the fireman said the same thing," she explained. Trixie's hand went to the bottle of pixie dust around her neck as she glanced over her shoulder, still scanning the crowd for them.

The hospital was nearer than Will had been expecting. His companions said their goodbyes and left again. Everything about them seemed to be hurried, but Will didn't dwell on it for too long. He made his way into the hospital and up to the desk. The nurse there looked up and smiled.
"Can I help you?" she asked.
"Hopefully," he said, smiling. "Are there any doctors free I could talk to? I have a problem with my joints that causes me quite a lot of pain, and I was hoping to get a prescription for painkillers." He always had to be careful to phrase it so he didn't sound like a junkie, trying to make up an excuse to get his fix.
"Oh, you poor thing. I can check for you," she said, and started typing at her computer. He stood there in silence, praying that there would be someone. One x-ray would show them the damage if they didn't believe the cane. The nurse pulled a face as she looked back up at him.
"No, honey, I'm afraid not. Nobody will be free to talk for another day or so," she said. His fist clenched around the handle of his cane.
"Is there really nobody I can talk to? I ran out three days ago and have been in quite a lot of pain ever since," he said, determined to get as much sympathy from her as possible. She frowned, tapping at the edge of her keyboard.
"Take a seat in the waiting area, I'll see what I can do," she said eventually. He smiled at her and took a seat, glad to have the weight off of his feet. Of course he'd wanted a heart more than he'd wanted this joints problem fixed.

"Let's just say that I hurt somebody a long time ago, but my punishment far outweighed what I did to them, and now I'm left with this." He said good naturedly having grinned at her a little.

Gold didn't smile back though she just crossed her arms and pouted a little. "That's awfully vague," She replied bluntly obviously a little upset about not getting an answer. However before she could complain much they arrived at the hospital. Flynn sent the man on his way and the two of them turned and set off. After a few steps Gold turned to Flynn to tell him something to find that he had already stopped and was looking back at the man with the cane.

"Um, I hope things will be all right," he said before turning back and walking ahead, leaving Gold standing there looking incredulous. Then when she finally managed to shack off her shock she took a few quick steps and caught up with him. Steady her pace to match his. Flynn had long legs, so Gold always had to walk a little bit fast to fall into step beside him. When the got a fair distance away from the hospital, Flynn spoke up. "Before you say anything, I honestly don't know what's going on with me. For some reason I felt a need to help this man out and I always listen to my gut,"he explained.

Gold didn't say anything processing what he had just said with a strange look on her face, before finally she replied, "okay." She shrugged and didn't mention anything other than that. Which was very out of character for her not to at least complain a little. However she'd known Flynn a really long time, and she knew he always listened to his gut, and he was usually rigght about most things. So, she'd give him this one.

"For right now, I think we should head back to our hotel room, to get away from all of this chaos and wait until it all dies down a bit," Flynn said.

"Definitely," Gold replied nodding though she was more up for getting out of her wet clothes than away from the chaos.

Gold and Flynn got back to their hotel room, and Gold immediately got out the cash she had snatched from the register and gave Flynn his half. "This is what I got from the register, it's not much," she said, it was only about a hundred or so each. "Close the door," She said pointing to the door as she started stripping off her wet clothes. Gold and Flynn had been close for ages so she didn't really think twice about getting changed in front of him. Though Gold was a pretty open person with little modesty so she'd get changed in front of anyone.

"Check out what's in my bag," Gold said throwing her bag onto her bed as she changed into a baggy tee shirt the she had stolen from Flynn ages ago and shorts. She laid out her wet clothes and then laid down on her bed sprawling out looking up at Flynn. "So?" She asked, waiting for his reaction to the cloak she had stolen.

ImageAfter hearing Flynn's name she instantly got angry. "That damned no good," she went on for a couple more seconds before stopping in silence and took a deep breath. [color#ff2929]"Sorry guys, and Gretel," she stated as she set her left hand upon her shoulder, "Don't worry, once I get this place fixed up you will still have your job. This wasn't your fault," she stated.

The brunette stepped into the flooded building and looked around. Water damage was everywhere. She had to replace the register, the computers, possibly even the floorboards. The place looked horrible and there would be thousands of dollars in repairs to take up. All because of Flynn and Gold. At that moment she remembered her cloak, she forgot to take it with her when she went to check on her father. She immediately ran to the locker room and looked around, she couldn't find it anywhere. She checked behind the counter and it wasn't there either, along with a good bit of the money that was taken out of the register.

Ruby ran out of the building and approached Trixie and pulled her aside, "Sorry Gretel, I need to talk to Trixie real quick," she stated before returning her attention back over to her best friend. She brought her voice down to a hushed whisper, "I think they took my cloak too. If I don't find it any time soon, I'm going to change and possibly end up killing or hurting someone. I have no control of myself as a wolf," Ruby stated as she started to cry silent tears. She was frustrated, completely frustrated. When her father finds out what's going on, she's not sure what he's going to say or do. The diner was his mother's and it was left to Ruby. And that hood, it kept Ruby safe from the wolf that was buried inside her.

ImageFlynn closed the door as he was told just as Gold began stripping out of her wet clothing. He sat down on the edge of his bed just as her bag had been thrown at him with her demanding to look inside.

He sighed and opened the bag, seeing a balled up red cloak inside. He pulled it out and looked at it a bit closer and smirked when he realized it had been Ruby's. "Great find, this could be worth hundreds. It's made of a very rare fabric. I don't remember the name of it, but my mother used to use this fabric when I was a child." At that point he silenced himself. He never talked about his past, not even to Gold. The most he ever told her was that he was a foster kid. Never talked about his parents or the foster care system.
