Personality: Aven is a perky young girl, despite being a slave. She is very kind, but occasionally a sarcastic remark slips out, but she only means it to be funny. Aven loves making people smile and laugh. She always has a positive outlook. She is quite funny and cracks jokes often. It is quite hard for her to stay serious some times, but she tries her best. Aven always tries to be helpful and is very loyal. She is a neat freak, everything has to be in their order. She'll lose it if even one thing is out of it's place. Aven is very observant, having a keen eye and never failing to catch things others do not. She is very obedient and will do almost anything you need her to. She has a weak spot for people in need, especially children. She isn't selfish at all, in fact she never really thinks about the well being of herself. With Diabetes, this isn't a very smart thing for her to do, even though she is pretty smart. Aven is smart, but she never gets to use those skills, for being smart has nothing to do with serving her master.
Bio: Aven does not have much of a past. She grew up with her father, a widower from Downtown who worked as a baker, as where she gets her skills of cooking from. Life was good, well as good as it can be in Downtown, until her father's bakery went bankrupt and was shut down. He was a skilled painter, but didn't have the money to buy paint, so thinking that was what he could do to make money, he and Aven had an agreement. She gets sold as a maid and lives a better life in Uptown while he uses the money to make a living. Aven hated this idea, but went along with it because she wanted her father to have a better life.
Reason to owning servant or being a servant: Her father sold her to get money.
Relationship with Owner/Servant: They are friends. Despite their age difference, they have similar personalities and get along well.
Love interest: TBA
Other: N/A

Character's Opinion on others:

●Jayson Goldsworthy- "It's like she has as many faces as a die."
Aven does not dislike Jayson, but she has a lot of different emotions going on at once.

●Arthur Wake- "He's... different.... not that it's a bad thing..."
Aven's bubbly, quirky personality would probably not mix well with Arthur's.

●Mio Misaki- "We seem to have much in common."
Aven and Mio would probably get along well, due to their many similar traits.

●Elsa Rowan "She looks quite serious, but I'm sure we can get along."
Elsa and Aven are both logical, although Aven's young spirit and Elsa's more mature one may mix ill.

●Elliot Forsberg- "I can imagine us getting along, I guess..."
Aven is a bit shy around Upperclass citizens, so a friendship between the two might not happen, but who knows.

●Irene Asahina- "She seems quite quiet."
Aven and Irene are quite different, but they could also get along well.

●Victorique Lamperouge- "She seems quite emotionless..."
Although Aven is nothing like her, she'd probably attempt to start a conversation with her anyway.

●Shilo Diamonfair- "I'll let my master do the talking with him."
Aven, again, is a bit hesitant with Uperclass citizens, plus she would see him more with his "mask" on, so.. yeah...

●Felix Clarkwood- "Can't judge a book by it's cover."
Felix's outwardly appearance would make Aven a bit hesitant to talk with him.

●Apollo Sinclair- "He seems nice, I guess."
Although a conversation would probably not strike up among the two...

●Axel Sparks- "Uh...."
His hotheadedness might not get on with Aven too well.

●Kylie Cadebrinn- "I'm not sure how well we would get along, but I'll still be nice."
Aven and Kylie would definitely not be the ideal best friends..

●Aven Otis- "Oh... Hello, Me!"

●Holly Remm- "She seems nice."
Aven and Holly are both quite perky, so they would probably get alone.

●Ren Shotuo- "My master."
Even though they have about five years separating them, the get along.

Miss Otis walked through the halls. She wore a red sweater over knee length jean shorts, unacceptable attire for a maid, but she figured she would quickly change. Her brown wavy hair was pulled into a braid that stretched down a few inches past her shoulders. She carried a tray with her master's breakfast in her right hand, careful not to spill the water on top of the tray.

Aven slightly tapped on her masters door, wondering whether Ren was awake yet or not. No reply came right away- he was a twelve year old boy, what were the odds of him being away anyway?- so Aven opened the door and flipped on the lights. "Sir?" she asked, nudging the little boy with her one free hand. It was a bit strange to call someone so much younger than her "sir", but it was the proper way for her to address her master. She nudged him again. Was the little guy dead?

Setting down the breakfast she had been carrying in her right hand on his dresser, a very delicious raspberry pie, she shook him a bit. "Mister Shotuo? It's time to wake up now." She sighed, opening his blinds. She chuckled. Usually she wasn't a morning person, but after becoming a maid, she was much better adjusted to it. "Sir, you know there is a ball tonight, correct? I assume you'll be going," she said. She couldn't lie and pretend that she actually enjoyed balls and parties, but they happened often and it was just another thing she would have to get used to. She opened his closet and dug through until she found a matching outfit and folded it up, setting it on the bottom of her master's bed. "I've ordered you a suit, which should be here in only a few hours, at most. I've also made your breakfast. Is there anything else I can do for you?" she asked, smiling and turning to face her master.

The young boy slept soundly until his maid woke him. He sat up in bed and yawned. Ren winced as she opened the curtains, and stood up. He nodded at her question and groaned. He hated going to the balls, but it was his duty to attend.

"That is all Aven, Thank you very much." He smiled at the girl and sat down at the table. The smell of her raspberry pie delighted him. He ate quickly and showered. The young master dressed in brown pants, a white button up shirt, and a black vest. He combed his hair and put on his shoes.

"Aven" he called out in the hall. He went downstairs and looked for Aven. I must go to the ball no matter what. He thought determined.

The young man saw a familiar brunette and followed her.

Once her master dismissed her, Aven left and walked to her quarters. She quickly changed into a more suitable attire for a maid, a dull blue turtleneck shirt and a white skirt that came to her knees. Once finished, she assumed her master would be doing something else by now, so she went and tidied up his room, making his bed and making sure everything was in order. When the OCD part of her was satisfied, she smiled and turned. She chewed on her lip, a nervous habit. What to do now?

She hurried down the hall and pulled out a duster from the supply closet. She first stopped by the living room. The bookshelf must have had at least an inch of dust! Aven wiped it away quickly.Next she found a few bugs in one of the bathrooms, which would not do. She quickly got bug repellent spray and practically covered the whole room with it and left, leaving the door shut behind her as some sort of quarantine. Aven searched the rest of the house for bugs, but found none, feeling quite relieved of that ordeal. When she walked into the kitchen, she found it left in a horrid mess. Food was spilled on the counter, not to mention some still sitting out, and pots and pans were clattered into the sink. She shook her head, distraught. Aven quickly raced to action, washing down the pots and pans and putting them in proper cabinets. She put the food back into the pantry, but stared at the spill on the counter. It seemed to have dried, but Aven would not lose this battle. She sprayed it down with stain remover and wiped it down until her fingers were numb. Eventually it peeled off, leaving the kitchen spotless. She smiled, feeling accomplished. Now what else could she do to tidy up the house? She was walking down the hall in search of another job when she heard her master call. She turned to see him standing nearby.

"Yes, sir? How may I be of assistance?" she said to her young master, smiling. Her smile was pretty genuine. She didn't really mind serving her master. Being a maid overall was not as fun, but it could be much worse.

The boy turned to her and asked. “Do I really have to go?” He asked suddenly. He was afraid of her answer for he knew what it would be. He sighs and turns away from her. A minute goes by and the boy goes back to his quarters.

He sits fidgeting with the gold buttons on his vest. His feet swinging back and forth above the ground. Thoughts zooming around the room and going back to where they started.

A small chill goes up his spine when the book he’s holding hits the desk with a loud bang. He stands up and stretches. The sun is still shining in through the windows. He goes over to the balcony doors and pushes them open a breeze streams through and blows the navy blue curtains back. Almost like a trance Ren follows the beam of sunlight through the parting leaves. Soon he is leaning against the rail of the white balcony. He inhales the scent of flowers and fresh cut grass from below him. The gardeners weeding and planting all resemble the graceful leaves in the trees.

"Do I have to go?"

Aven sighed. She had to remember her master was still young and if she couldn't stand balls and parties, she had to imagine he couldn't either. "That isn't really my decision, sir. I can't force you to do anything. I'm sure your parents would like you to go."

Her master walked off, obviously disappointed. What was Aven to do? She was a servant, obviously unable to control her master and most certainly not able to bark orders at Ren. She felt bad- she must have sounded like a stick in the mud to the small boy, but she knew his parents would not wish him to stay home. If he disobeyed or forced his parents to allow him to stay home, it was on his conscience, not hers, although she would probably get scolded for it anyway.

She was about to find her master and try to console him by telling him reasons the ball would be fun, like there would probably be good food, which his young taste buds probably wouldn't approve of anyway, lots of people to talk to, and maybe even some cute girls his age, but was interrupted by the doorbell ringing. She opened the door to find not a person, but a package. His suit had arrived early. Aven smiled and picked it up, letting the door shut behind her. She opened it and looked at the suit inside, it looking maybe a size too big. Aven puffed out her cheeks in frustration, but it was probably much to late to go demand a new one or a refund. She sighed and went on a hunt for her master. He wasn't too hard to find, standing on a balcony over the garden. She coughed, getting his attention.

"Sir, your suit has arrived, although I'm afraid it may be a size or two too large. Would you like to try it on and see, or have me take it back and try to get a new one?" Aven said, nervously, hoping he didn't choose the latter.

"I think I shall try it on." He says after carefully looking over the suit in her hand.

The young master takes the suit and goes into his changing room. The soft blackish blue fabric feels thin and cold on his body. He goes out of the room and stands near Aven waiting for her opinion. "What do you think?" He asks wearily of the baggy clothing.

Aven waited nervously outside the changing room as her master tried on the baggy suit. She felt foolish, although it wasn't really her fault. She had ordered the right size anyway, the people had got it wrong, but she somehow twisted it around, feeling that it was her fault. Her master re-emerged wearing the suit. It was indeed big on him, not so big that he couldn't move in it, but it revealed how small the boy was... and how horribly she had messed up.

"What do you think?" her master asked. She gave a nervous shrug.

"The decision is up to you, sir. The ball is starting some time soon so I don't think if I took it back I would have anything in time." the maid said, fretting. Her eyes widened as an idea went through her mind.

"I've thought of something that just might work, if you'll allow me," she said, pulling the bobby pins out of her hair and causing her bangs to crash like a tidal wave onto her forehead. She got on one knee, not to reach his size, for a girl of her height didn't need to bend down too much to reach the small boy, but to get level with the suit. Making her way awkwardly on her knees to the back of him, she pulled the extra baggy parts of his sleeves and pulled them back, pinning them down to the suit with her bobby pins. She continued this until, from the front view, the suit looked almost perfect.

She stood up and looked at her master, smiling at her good work. "I must say, you look quite dashing," Aven said, chuckling. "It may look a bit strange from the back, but most people will be looking at you from the front, I would suppose, sir. Is it alright?" she asked, nodding to the mirror for him to have a look. She shoved her bangs, which fell into her eyes, out of the way. She had more bobby pins that she would have to fetch at some point, but now she had to make sure her young master was pleased with her work on his suit.

(I can't seem to write very long posts for Aven. :[ Sorry it's short, I'll work on making her's longer.)

Ren Shotuo

The young boy lifted the baggy sleeves helplessly and shurgged. "This is quite big on me." He remarked. He allowed her to try her best to fix his suit. "Go ahead and do what you can Aven, because I want you to be happy." He smiled at his maid and stood straight. Ren tried his best not to fidget as she pinned up the loose fabric.

"I must say you look quite dashing, It may look a bit strange from the back, but most people will be looking at you from the frount, I would sppose sir. Is it alright?"

He stepped towards the three paned mirorr to have a look at his altered suit. "Hmm.." He thought. "I think I can fix this a bit more." He told her with a bit more confidence in his apperance.

Ren got to work on his suit. First he had Aven pin up the suits shirt. While he found a jacket that would work with the black pants and grey shirt.

"What do you think of this jacket Aven?" He asked. The boy was holding up a dark blue coat with silver buttons. The silver cufflinks shone in the light. Making the R glow and twinkle.

He nodded at his choice and put the suit on again, this time with the new jacket.

The fabric fit perfectly. There were no more unnescary baggs, and loose cloth. He practicly gleamed as he went out to show his Maid. "I think we have done a splendid job! He said happily.
