Iraa Ventillon

The wind only reciprocates what you give. If you are kind, it will be gentle; if you treat it badly, it will treat you the same.

⌊ • Power • ⌉
Being the Disciple of Wind means that Iraa's power is over the air. She can create harsh, violet winds that are powerful enough to unroot trees and destroy buildings. On occasion, if the wind is strong and fast enough, it can be fastened into something of a whip, but this is extremely difficult to do considering the amount of wind and air that must be concentrated into on area and then flung altogether at an object while still keeping its shape. With the air being a bit of an unpredictable element, it is difficult to hold air in one spot without it flying around. It is for this reason, that Iraa's most destructive power is held in the fact that the violent winds she conjures can pick up different materials and fling them around wildly. Despite this power that the air and wind harness, Iraa's most use of her power comes from the fact that she can sense the air around her for up to a mile radius (on a good day with the right wind conditions). She can sense the slightest changes in air pressure, temperature, and speed. Along with being able to feel the changes, she can also smell them and hear them (although her power does not heighten her sense of sight). This makes her hard to surprise and difficult to hit in a fight. This also means that she can feel a person's emotions. She knows when someone standing relatively close to her is afraid or happy or angry because of their changes in breathing or heart rate. The final use for her power is one that Iraa rarely makes known to people and more often uses it for her own enjoyment rather than daily use. This is her ability to control sound. She can create or cancel sound by either amplifying the natural airwaves or stilling the air. She can then contain it to a specific area if need be. While this could potentially be useful in a fight, Iraa prefers to keep this power a secret. She often likes to create music for herself and then sing or hum along to it, but she always contains the sound to a bubble around herself because singing is a very personal activity for her.

⌊ • Personality • ⌉
Much like the element that she controls, Iraa's personality and emotions are unpredictable. She can be completely happy and smiling in one moment and then someone says something to upset her and she becomes angry and distant. For the most part, she is a kind, unassuming girl. She likes to smile and laugh even when she doesn't completely understand a joke and most people find her enjoyable enough to be around. She sometimes comes off as distant or detached because she likes to "listen" to the air and the wind and she often gets caught up in this, making her forget everything else around her; however, she always comes out of her distant gaze and plasters a smile on her face. This also makes her appear a bit ditzy at times because she will forget what the conversation is about and have to ask what they were talking about. However, her distant behavior should not be taken as snobbish, ignorant, or dumb (as many people do take it). In reality, Iraa is quite the opposite. She may not be a very intellectual girl, but she understands emotions (and people in general) more than anyone. She knows when someone around her needs to laugh and she also knows when they need a shoulder to cry on or someone to rant at.

While Iraa is not rude or piggish, she has also never been called polite or lady-like. She like being clean and tidy, and she cares about her appearance, but she doesn't understand the subtle things about holding herself properly or walking a certain way, and she will never compromise comfort for appearance. She quick to anger and usually does not do much to hide her anger, but her relatively short attention span means that she finds it hard to hold grudges against people when she does not remember why she was angry. Although she is quick to anger, Iraa does not enjoy being angry. Above everything, she loves joking and messing around with everyone because she loves when other people laugh.

Aside from her unstable emotional state, many people find Iraa easy to love. Although she is often passionate about her thoughts and opinions, Iraa is not a prideful person. She knows when she is long and when to apologize for something and she is not afraid to admit her failures and insecurities. Although she may not jump at the opportunity to point out her own flaws, she knows that she has them and can admit that. In any case, Iraa is and always has been the living embodiment of the wind. She ranges from pleasant and nice to harsh and violent and can go from one extreme to another in moments. She is impulsive sometimes, but she is also extremely quick on her feet and quick with her tongue which has gotten her out of many troubling situations in the past.

Image
⌊ • Appearance • ⌉
Iraa stands at only about 5 feet tall and has a lithe yet athletic body. Her skin is a pale ivory that tans slightly when it sees a lot of sun (which is often does) and long hair used to be platinum blonde when she was a child, but has since turned to an odd grey-white color that takes a lot of work on her part to keep clean. She normally wears her hair down and it reaches down to her waist, but occasionally when she doesn't want it flying in her face or getting dirty, Iraa puts her hair up into a ponytail with a large bow. Iraa's eyes are a shade of blue that can appear light blue-violet, bright blue, or dark steely blue depending on the lighting.

Iraa's clothing mostly consists of things that she deems "pretty", but not uncomfortable. This means that her wardrobe mostly consists of loose fitting shirts, or shirts that reveal quite a bit of skin for warmer days, and big, comfy sweaters for colder days. One odd features of Iraa's wardrobe is that she own exactly one pair of shoes. She hates the confinement that shoes bring with them and after so many years of wearing them sparingly, Iraa's feet have hardened and calloused and she doesn't really feel pain in them. She owns one pair of slouchy boots for extreme cold and snow, but only wears them when absolutely necessary. Iraa loves jewelry, but she rarely wears it because she feels that it gets in the way of her constant movement. However, she does wear one piece of jewelry and that is an old rope bracelet which she refuses to tell anyone the story behind. Many think that it has something to do with her parents or an old friend or sibling, but no one really knows. She often plays with the frayed edges when she is nervous or bored or afraid.

⌊ • Fears • ⌉
|| Living Forever || One might think that immortality is a blessing, but that is far from the truth. Having to watch people you get close to die while you stay exactly as you are is extremely difficult mentally. Iraa does not want to die and she is certainly far from suicidal, but Iraa fears that someday, the Disciples will be killed and she will be all alone. It is a scary thought for her.
|| Uselessness || She tries not to show it, but all Iraa has every really wanted is to be seen as useful and needed the the eyes of the other Disciples. This is part of the reason why their breaking apart has been so hard on her. She knows that she has a purpose; that the Goddess chose her for a reason, but she fears that she is a useless creature in the grand scheme of things.
|| Losing A Disciple || Whether it is from the Originals side or the Ashes side, Iraa fears for all of the Disciples lives. She is angry at the three who left, but a part of her tells her that they are still trying to protect the Goddess's land even if she doesn't agree with how they are going about it. Iraa still feels close to them and she wishes that they could still be a family again. This is not ignorance or naivety on her part, it is simply a wish of hers.
|| Confinement/Feeling Trapped || More than anything, Iraa fears being inclosed in small spaces. Like the wind, she enjoys being free and finds that confinement disrupts her power as well as her personality. Iraa can handle crowds by simply swallowing her fear and discomfort; however, after leaving the crowd, Iraa will often have to take a period of time (depending on how long she was in the crowd) to calm herself and be alone.

⌊ • Strengths • ⌉
|| Agility & Speed || Much like the element she controls, Iraa is quick and clever and it is always difficult to tell where she is going to be at any given time. She's excellent at sneaking around and then popping out of nowhere.
|| Clever || Along with her physical speed and agility, Iraa's mind also seems to work at a mile a minute. She is a quick thinker and -while she is a bit impulsive at times- her seemingly "silver tongue" has gotten her out of many troublesome situations before.
|| Enhanced Smell, Hearing, and Feeling || Due to her control over the air, Iraa's senses of smell and hearing are extremely enhanced. Although her sight is not enhanced, Iraa's power allows her to "feel" things around her through changes in the air. This means that she essentially could go blind and she would have no trouble "seeing" things around her. These enhanced senses make Iraa nearly impossible to surprise unless she has been incapacitated for some reason.
|| Hand-to-hand || While most think of a good hand-to-hand combat fighter as someone who is big and can take a lot of hits, what makes Iraa a good hand-to-hand combatant is quite the opposite. Her quickness and her ability to do quick jabs and disorient an opponent make Iraa a worthy opponent in a close range fight. Her main choice of weapon is a thick bo-staff that she uses because it is not cumbersome and has many different uses.

⌊ • Weaknesses • ⌉
|| Light Bones || Iraa may be quick and speedy and that is a big advantage for her, but she ends up sacrificing the ability to take more than a few hits. She can evade many attacks, but her bones are rather light and brittle, so once her adversary lands a few good hits, Iraa could and will be seriously injured.
|| Water || Iraa is not so bad in water. If need be, she can pull the oxygen out of the water and create a bubble around herself. However, Iraa has a problem with too much water coming on too quickly. If there is too much water, then she panics because there is too little air. This makes water a problem for Iraa occasionally and she avoids large bodies of water when she can.
|| Fire || Fire essentially feeds off the oxygen in the air and that has proven to be a big problem for Iraa. Small fires such as candles or small fireplace fires are not a problem for Iraa as she can simply suffocate the flames; however, much like water, if there is too much fire, Iraa becomes overwhelmed and cannot put out the flames quick enough.
|| Emotionally Unstable || Her flitting personality is something that weakens Iraa considerably. Although she is not naive, it would not be too hard for a person to play off of Iraa's emotions and make her think a certain way. Iraa often struggles with getting her emotions under control, but it is a task that is easier said than done.

Image
⌊ • Relationships • ⌉
|| Louie ||
Iraa finds Louie interesting. She has always been able to read peoples thoughts and their emotions easily, but it's difficult for her to read Louie. He always seems so calm and collected even when she knows that he shouldn't be. In any case, Iraa likes being around the Doctor. She finds the waves that come from him are healing in a way and they calm her even when she is having an angry outburst.
|| Yvette ||
Yvette and Iraa don't get along... at all. Yvette doesn't like the wind and Iraa doesn't like electricity. It's only natural that the two of them would clash. Yvette is aggressive and snarky and she generally just makes Iraa tense. They have learned to deal with being around one another and neither of them intentionally provokes the other; however, when Iraa and Yvette bump heads, they do so in a big way. Neither of them is one to really back down and that makes for spectacular arguments and harsh fights.
|| Henrietta ||
The relationship between Henrietta and Iraa appears to be a strange one to everyone but them. They seem to constantly fluctuate between loving each other and screaming at each other and there is rarely an in between. The two of them have found an odd sort of kindred spirit in each others unstable personalities and there seems to be many things that only the two of them understand about the other. The normal cycle of events is this: the two get into an unexplainable screaming/fist fight, they go their separate ways, Iraa feels horribly about letting her temper go (but never has to apologize for her actions), and they both go back to being friends without anything but a look passing between the two.
|| Neris ||
Iraa and Neris have always been fond of each others company. Before the split, Neris was something of an anchor for Iraa when she was in a bad place. Neris was always so calm and collected that she would ground Iraa in a sense. In turn, Iraa would make Neris smile whenever she could (or more like whenever Neris felt inclined to smirk at Iraa). Although Iraa has never really understood how Neris can stay so calm, she has never questioned it because she often wishes that she could have a little bit of that in her life. Now that they are on opposing sides, Iraa finds that misses having someone to calm and stabilize her energy. When she thinks of Neris, Iraa often feels a pang of hurt and she can never figure out if it is hurt over Neris's leaving or regret that this whole mess ever happened.
|| Carter ||
While they have never really been each others biggest fans, Iraa and Carter never really hated each other. Before the split, Iraa was often irritated and angered by Carter; however, she also found Carter's sarcasm hilarious and she admired his loyalty to the Disciples. She would never admit it and obviously, Carter never admitted any good feelings he had about them. When he split off with the other two Ashes, Iraa was not surprised that he would want to join the side looking for power, but she was surprised that he would blatantly decide to stop loving and protecting the rest of the Disciples. Of course, he is still loyal to the two Ashes, but she often thinks that what would happen if one of the Originals were to get hurt or killed. Would Carter care at all? If Iraa is completely honest, Carter power paired with his personality actually scare her a bit, and now that he would not even hesitate to harm the Originals, Iraa fears him more than anything. She preferred it much more when they were at least on the same side.
|| Alice ||
Iraa has never liked fire. She often enjoys a small campfire, but anything bigger simply uses up too much oxygen and makes her feel suffocated. However, it is also for this reason that Iraa and Alice make a great team since Iraa can amplify Alice's flames. As for their relationship, Alice and Iraa get along rather well. Alice is one of the only people that Iraa is not prone to snap at for whatever reason, but when she does accidentally snap at her, Alice seems to understand that Iraa cannot help herself. Iraa often finds herself trying to explain to Alice that she is unable to control her emotions, but Alice is almost always understanding and Iraa never really needs to explain. However, she feels the need to simply because she likes Alice and feels horrible for getting angry at her.
|| Seishin ||
TBA
|| Keith ||
More than anything, Iraa misses Keith. Iraa has always been easily annoyed by Keith's tricks and his riddles because they often make her feel dumb or inferior. He would often ask her a riddle and when she couldn't figure it out, she would storm out angrily; however, Iraa has also always been intrigued by his riddles, and she always found herself going back to Keith to ask him to teach her how to solve the riddle. She would always come away with some new piece of knowledge or wisdom. She genuinely enjoyed being around Keith which is why his siding with the Ashes hurt her so much. She sometimes tries to be angry with him just so that she won't feel hurt when she sees him again, but more than anything she misses Keith's fun and games and the knowledge that he gave her.

So begins...

The book hit the floor with a loud thud, and along with it came a loud clap of thunder. Distaste and exhaustion was written all over Yvette's face as she stared at all the books she'd thrown at the floor. Each one she'd marked and read over at least three times before she let it hit the ground. None of them were useful. There were too many possibilities. Hundreds of books, thousands of pages, millions of options. How long had she been awake trying to narrow it down? They could've boosted their powers with almost anything. She was getting nowhere, and yet, she still looked for an answer.

Yvette popped yet another strawberry into her mouth. The others, regrettably, are smart. They would not challenge the four who agreed with Yvette without some kind of--- some kind of advantage. An edge. That much was obvious. But the question remained, what was in their favor? What gave them the upper hand? This, Yvette could not figure out. Out of all the books she read, she found at least one hundred possibilities. And what were the odds of her finding the right enhancement? Not high, that's for sure. But Yvette couldn't rest until she found it; until she knew what gave them such confidence.

When she reached for another strawberry, to her discontent, she soon found she'd eaten every last strawberry in the box. Yvette heaved a sigh when she saw an empty mug sitting right next to the anything but full plastic box that used to be overflowing with red, delicious strawberries. So not only had Yvette run out of her precious strawberries, but she'd run out of the one thing that had been keeping her awake--- coffee. She'd always had a caffeine addiction... It kept her going through nights like these.

As Yvette hopped off of her bed and took a few seconds to stretch, her thoughts wandered to a different subject. Namely, how quiet it was in the room. In fact, this silence happened to be getting on her nerves. It was too silent. Her room was too vacant. Yvette, quite uncomfortable, snatched the mug off of her nightstand and made her way out of the room, tugging on the hem of her sleeve, slowly tearing apart the fabric. Speaking of attire, Yvette was wearing what she usually wore to sleep; a pair of loosely fitting gray sweatpants that she found most comfortable, and a purple knit sweater. Though, one sleeve is shorter than the other, due to Yvette's unintentional dismantle of the sweater-- it was just a nervous habit Yvette had; fiddling with the hem of her sweater until it began to rip itself apart.

"What time is it?" Yvette suddenly murmured. Surely, it can't be that late, she thought. "It has to be somewhere... somewhere around eleven at night, right? Maybe even midnight."

The more she talked to herself, the more she eased her panic. She could never stand silence, or being alone. And on that note, she thought, where is everyone? Well, they're in their rooms, of course. At least, the four she still called allies were. The other three disciples... she didn't have a clue. After they split up, so far, there hasn't been much news. In fact, they'd only split up about a week ago... after the fight, things had been pretty silent between the two groups. Though the tension is always there, even when they aren't present.

But, speaking of the other disciples... they were talking about them last night. Everyone seemed to agree that there was no way the others would challenge them without some kind of edge. So, Yvette volunteered to try and narrow down the options. But of course, that wasn't working out so well. It's not like she had any hints to lay the tracks with. There were thousands of possibilities...

But that didn't mean she wasn't going to give up. She wasn't going to stop until she read every book about enhancements as she could possibly find. As Yvette made her way to the kitchen, she scowled at the new environment. Due to what some would call security issues, the five of them switched living quarters. If the other three were willing to fight this out... It wouldn't exactly be a good thing if they knew where the five lived.

Having entered the kitchen and started up the coffee machine, Yvette opened the door to the refrigerator-- only to find there were no strawberries left. She stared at the fridge for a while, her thoughts not on food but the other disciples...

She still couldn't believe they had left them... After an array of hurtful words and nasty burns, Yvette was actually left quite sorrowful... And regarding the disciples, they were a subject she just couldn't get out of her mind. Slightly dismayed and distracted due to her lack of strawberries, she began to connect the two subjects. Just as the strawberries were, after what seemed like barely an hour of debating, the others were simply... gone.

[COMMENCE POSTING! Also, quick side note here, with this post my main goal was to set the scene for everyone else. ((The time is supposed to be six in the morning. Our friend Yvette here pulled an all-nighter. Also, winter is supposed to be around the corner, so the cold weather is approaching... Just something to keep in mind. And as you might have caught, there is indeed a thunderstorm outside, supposedly caused by Yvette.)) Anyway, I think I set the scene pretty well for the Originals... my theory was that they didn't know about what gave the Ashes their power boost, but they highly suspected some kind of edge.

And I'm not exactly in the position to set the scene for the Ashes, regrettable as that may be... Uhh... well, they probably found themselves somewhere else to stay as well. Their plans, I cannot be sure of, whether they want to take defense or offense is really just up to the Ashes. As for the Originals, I'd say the same thing-- offense or defense, your character can probably suggest something. I was really just giving us something to start on. Also, if you were wondering, Alice is sleeping. That's why I didn't post for her... yet.]

#, as written by Arisato
Image "Dad, I can't sleep with all this noise." Jurdy came rolling out of his be and into the his fathers Potions Room/Store. It's the one place he is found most in.

Their home is a little different from others here. It's located right smack dab in the middle of everyone. Their home is pretty much the borderline from the Ashes and the Originals. The Potions Store is open to everyone who wants to buy. He only has one major rule. If anyone fights on his property, he will drop them forever from his life and banish them from his land.

"Would you like a sleep potion?" Louie turned around with two different colored potions in his hands with a slight smirk like smile.

"How many times do I have to tell you! No! Get those things away from me!" Jurdy started to back away.

"Aw come on! It will only take a second!" His smirk became a big grin as he started to step closer.

"Dad I mean it! This isn't funny! Ugh, Fine, I'll sleep in your room." Jurdy started to run away and slammed the bedroom door shut.

Louie chuckled to himself as he put the Potions down on the counter. "Don't forget your studies. I'll quiz you later!"

Silence came from the next room, causing Louie to laugh a bit. Jurdy never went to school, he was home schooled; by his father. It was the only way he knew how to keep him safe from everything that was happening.

It was a long night, even with the storm that came by, it still hadn't stopped and it was already 6am. Still, it didn't stop the smell of winter that lingered in the air. Soon it would be time to pull out the heaters and turn on the fireplace. If his potions where to get frozen over it, would be bad for everyone.

Doc! Help! We were just playing and...and...I don't know what happened! A boy came in carrying another boy on his back. Panting and sweating, he tried to come inside the doors.

The smell of blood flushed over the room in an instant, Louie could tell right away where it came from. "Don't worry, he'll be fine. Just tell me what happened?" Louie went straight to the boy after picking up a potion. He took the boy off the other and carried him into the room next door of the shop.

This room was where he did his 'magic'. He placed the boy down on the operating table and then quickly washed his hands and slipped on some medical gloves. After that he started to cut off a leg of the boy's pants. The bone was piercing out of the skin. it was broken perfectly in half.

"We were playing and all of a sudden this wild animal came shooting out after us. It took Richy down and.."

"Wild animal?" He looked at the boy laying on the table. It didn't look like it came from an animal. Most likely a human. There were finger prints on his neck as if the boy was being choked right after his leg broke.

"I think so, I couldn't tell. It was too dark."

Louie poured the potion over the boys leg and in an instant the boy let out a howling scream of pain. "I'll have to push the bone back in place. Excuse me, you'll have to leave." And next thing they knew, he slowly started to push the bone back in, the boys cries became out even louder and he kept passing out after ever scream. Quickly, Louie jammed the bone back in place until he heard the bones grinding together. Sliding his chair over he sat down and started to cut open the leg skin and began drilling in bone bolts right into kid. "This should help keep the bone in place. He'll probably have to keep it there for about half a year. It was a pretty messy break..." He paused after mumbling to himself, the potion was kicking in and the boy was knocked out. He got up quickly to grab some gauze and clothes to soak up the blood.

"He's losing too much blood, you should have hooked him up to a blood pack before doing this." He looked up at the boy, his skin was a bit paled. Spinning in his chair he slid over to the fridge and grabbed a blood bag. Getting up he hung it from a metal pole and shoved a needled into the boys arm after disinfecting the spot. "There, he should be fine in about 5 minutes.

Looking at the wound and sighed. "Time to close him up before the potion wears off." That's just what he did, the whole time he mumbled to himself as he worked. He answered himself and slid around the room many times. It was enough to make one dizzy, but not Louie, he was use to it.

After he was done it was about 6:40 am. The boy was asleep on the table and his friend was waiting in the shop. "Your friend is fine, he's just resting. You can stop worrying now." He walked up the kid, placing his hand on the boy's head to calm the boy. "Go home and let his parents know. I'll have to keep him for the day to see how he is doing."

The boy thanked him and left. It wasn't even 8am and it was already a busy morning. "You'll need coffee and you'll need to start working on 'that' potion." He yawned and did just that.

"Well then," Yvette muttered. "That was... unnecessary. And there goes a perfectly good cup, too. And coffee. I shouldn't have bothered making it,"

With a sigh, she watched Ace follow after Henrietta, and instead of bothering with that, turned to Sei. "You're going out? Hm."

As much as she wanted to continue her scavenge for answers, she wasn't going to let Sei go out alone. If Carter, Keith and Neris had some enhancement, an encounter --especially three to one-- would be most displeasing. And since he was going to visit Louie, there was a higher chance that they'd happen to run into each other, which again, would cause all kinds of trouble for them.

If they had to fight... Yvette was hoping to win. "I'll go with you. But wait," Something suddenly crossed her mind. Everyone seemed to be up...

"Where's Iraa? I don't think she'd be too happy to wake up to, well, no one. We should probably wait until she wakes up to leave... in fact..." Yvette took a moment to clear her throat, before shouting, "IRAA! GET YOUR SORRY ARSE UP!"

Iraa woke from her light sleep with a start. Had she actually slept last night? Although it seemed unlikely that she had gotten more than an hour of sleep, Iraa remembered vividly the dream that she had been having. The five of them... standing against the other three. It was a nightmare in and of itself. But it got worse. As Iraa turned around to ask for the support of the other four, she realized that they were nothing but black shapes now with glowing white eyes. Yvette, Henrietta, Alice, Seishin. They were nothing anymore. Slowly, they began to ooze a tar-like substance and as they did, they began to move toward her. Terrified, Iraa tried to push them back with the wind, but found that she was completely powerless. As they continued forward, the three behind her came closer as well. Just as the ooze began to tough Iraa's feet, she awoke, covered in sweet and screaming. However, her screams were kept from the four by the bubble of sound that Iraa had unintentionally created for herself.

It took several moments for Iraa to calm her breathing, and as she finally turned to dangle her feet over the bed, she released the bubble of sound that she created. Hopping down from the bed, Iraa continued to the window the see the dark storm clouds overhead and the cracks of thunder and lightning. She opened the window and tested the outside air with her hand. There was minimal wind for this type of intense storm and there seemed to be a good amount of lightning relative to the thunder. Iraa scrunched her face as she felt around the air in the house. Just as she suspected, Yvette was awake downstairs and -if Iraa had to guess- she was the reason for the storm. Iraa also sensed Henrietta, Sei, and Alice downstairs and, although she wanted to go downstairs to greet them, her nightmare has left her feeling uninclined to talk to anyone.

Despite her lack of wanting to talk to people, Iraa's stomach protested her having not eaten in about 24 hours. Lethargically, Iraa stood from her seat, closed the window quietly, and threw on one of her large, cozy sweaters and a pair of jeans. She placed her long white hair in a messy bun at the base of her neck and left it, not feeling well enough to do anything else. As Iraa quietly opened the door and made her way down the hall, she thought back on the nightmare. It had felt so real and unlike most dreams, Iraa couldn't get herself to just forget it. Maybe it was the universe trying to tell her something, but with Iraa's sleep-deprived mind, she couldn't quite try to analyze it.

Iraa was snapped out of her thoughts as she walked into the kitchen area of the house and came upon an odd, but not surprising scene. Henrietta had her hand clenched into a fist, tiny tendrils of steam coming from her red and wet hand while she stood over a shattered coffee mug. For Iraa, the tension in the air was almost palpable. Everyones heart beat a faster than normal -although some of the faces looked absolutely still and calm. Their breathing also picked up and Iraa immediately felt her own breathes shortening into quiet gasps.

Then, without another word and without even noticing Iraa, Alice proceed to leave the house followed by Henrietta storming out. Iraa's senses continued to follow Henrietta and Alice out into the field. She wanted to follow them to see what had occured and if they were both alright, but her thought was broken as Yvette -still not having noticed Iraa- yelled, "Iraa! Get your sorry arse up!"

Iraa nearly snapped at this, but she instead pushed herself to control her breaths and calmed her own rage at such a simple sentence. After a moment of calming herself, Iraa trodded into the kitchen, grumbling "I'm up, I'm up." to Yvette and a quick "G'mornin'" in Sei's direction. Not knowing if she should ask what had just happened between her and Henrietta, Iraa instead took a seat on the window sill and peered over at Yvette. "Well, that was a rather loud display of emotions." Iraa said, gesturing to the clearing clouds outside. She gave Yvette a small, exhausted smirk, hopefully letting the girl know that, for once, her comment was meant as a jest and not a stab at Yvette. She was too mentally exhausted to fight with Yvette and she hoped that the other girl would be able to realize that despite their dislike of each other.

With that comment, Iraa fell silent and instead turned her attention back on the air outside of the house where Alice and Henrietta's breathing and heart rate had slowed. She could tell that the two of them were having a personal conversation and she did not want to use her ability to eavesdrop on whatever they were talking about; however, she could tell that they were both feeling upset, so instead of eavesdropping, Iraa sent gentle, wispy tendrils of of wind to surround the two for a moment before letting the wind continue on its natural course. The wind was pleasant enough, but it was also strong enough that the two would know that Iraa had sent the wind simply in order to let them know that she was there if they needed her.

With that, Iraa leaned back with her head against the window and looked at Yvette and Sei who still stood in the kitchen. Her gaze wandered from them to the pantry and the refrigerator. She knew that she had to eat something, but she felt slightly queasy from the recent tension and the thought of eating was not a pleasant one. Feeling run down and unhappy in general, Iraa glanced back at the other two Disciples and then around the rest of the kitchen area. The recent argument with the other three Disciples had left them all feeling unease and tense, but seeing the other three had made Iraa more heartbroken than anything. She felt angry at them; she felt unease about the harsh words that were spoken; but more than anything, Iraa felt disappointed in the fact that they had let this disagreement get so out of hand. At one point, they had all been family. Sure, some of them had problems with each other, but no matter what, they had always been family. Now that family relationship was gone and Iraa feared that perhaps the anger and irritation could possibly tear the remaining four Disciples apart.

At first, Henrietta felt a bit surprised at Ace's question. How am I doing? Tch. With a bit of thought, Henrietta began to glare at seemingly nothing far into the distance. Her lips were pursed as she shuffled through the things that had been bothering her. When the three disciples returned it was like they came back from the dead. She remembered how she began to cry uncontrollably at their appearance... only to lead to more disappointment and hurt.

"See, we're here on unfinished business," Keith announced with that provoking shrewd smile of his.

Henrietta's astonished tears immediately stopped, she felt skeptical. Something about them was just... off. With a furious glare she retorted, "What the hell are you talking about?"

Snapping out of her memory she recalled her wrath, the rage, the sort of frenzy she's found herself in for the past week. But it was time for her to stop weeping and start doing. Through gritted teeth she finally responded with, "I just know that when I see them, my fists will speak for themselves." And then she briefly paused before adding, "They're going to pay for hurting all of us. For betraying us."

It was then where she felt a strange wind rush around herself and Ace. Strange, gentle and unnatural. Almost spinning around them then trailing off back into the world. A grin was seen spreading across her face, she knew it was Iraa. "We should go back inside Ace. Everyone's up now. I think Sei and Yvette are going to see Louie. Maybe Louie can give us ideas? I'd go but I don't want to argue with Yvette." she stated finally thinking clearly and sharp again. "Something about those three wasn't right. I sensed it. Oh and by the way... thanks for the hand."

She lifted her previously burnt hand clenching and releasing the muscles with a new determined look on her face. It was time to progress with the situation rather than continue crying. They all needed to figure out what happened and what the hell was going on. It was true they were left bewildered amongst other things. Sure those three may have had Keith's smarts, but she believed that if they worked together they'd be able to solve this mess. And so she quickly rose to her feet extending her hand to help Ace back up. She'd protect her family no matter what. She'd save the others and end this mess.

There was this strange unease stirring inside of Keith. Like an unsettled ocean that raged inside of him. He couldn't help but notice how above he felt over nature as of late. But he quickly shook that thought away refusing to acknowledge it. The cool air that pelted his face like darts was refreshing. It was starting to get chilly which indicated that winter was approaching. After a couple of minutes the unease seemed to have vanquished and Keith felt like his normal self again. This left him scratching his head, even he couldn't figure it out. A thought occurred to him. This place has been abandoned for years, most things are charred and he was certain ash had coated most of the area at one point from the fire. The concrete, solid ground was cracking due to weeds poking themselves through including the grass.

"There must be seeds underneath." he muttered to himself observing the area. The thought of the others disapproving of his next trick did trickle into his mind, but he decided it was worth it. After watching Carter return back inside the building, he came to his knees and placed both of his hands flat onto the ground. He felt the struggling life forms somewhere deep inside. Perhaps this would be his own personal training. He had never pulled such a thing off before. Though he was confident the ashes' power now gave him the ability to do so. His energy pulsated from his hands into the ground and rippled throughout the perimeter. Patches of grass began to force the concrete to rip open and a variety of flowers rose from the cracks. He forced the weeds to dissipate and made the flowers more vibrant in color. Soon there was a decent amount of plant life surrounding himself and the building. Brushing the dirt off his hands, he grinned feeling impressed with his work and strangely excited that he succeeded in doing this. "Much better." he sighed as he turned around to follow Carter back inside.

Before he said anything, he heard Neris asking Carter, "Are you ok?" Peaking his curiosity he looked at Carter seeing him a bit... out of sort? His icy blue gaze was fixated on Carter observing him up and down, inside and out. He did not say anything, he wasn't even sure if they noticed his presence yet. But he was studying Carter's body language and pondering hard. It reminded him of his previous unease. He held his chin as he skimmed through all the books he's read in his mind. Especially the psychology ones. However, it seemed as though his efforts to come to a conclusion were useless. This left his mind blank and annoyed that he could not figure it out.

Image "I'll go with you. But wait," Something suddenly crossed her mind, he could tell from the questionably look upon her face. "Where's Iraa? I don't think she'd be too happy to wake up to, well, no one. We should probably wait until she wakes up to leave... in fact..." Yvette took a moment to clear her throat, before shouting. "IRAA! GET YOUR SORRY ARISE UP!"

Sei took a moment for himself to cover his lips. He was keeping himself from chuckling. First the thunderstorm and now the loudness. It was like the thunderstorm never stopped.

"I'm up, I'm up." to Yvette and a quick "G'mornin'" in Sei's direction, he smiled in return and bowed his head a tad.

She too had a questionable look on her face, but seeming to brush it off. Iraa instead took a seat on the window sill and peered over at Yvette. "Well, that was a rather loud display of emotions."

Now that you are up, my lady. Why don't you join Yvette and myself?" He started to head towards the front doorway. "I am in bit of a rush, so if you ladies don't mind, whether you come or go, we have to do it now."

He didn't want to make Louie wait too long, knowing him, he would get caught up into another project and prolong the Potion. Pulling on his boots he noticed how worn out they were. It was almost time for a new pare. Something he couldn't be bothered with, when he had so much to do. The fast everything was done, the faster he could move on.

Standing back up he headed out the door and took in the lovely fresh wet air. Everything was always at it's nicest after a good rain storm. It always made things look so green and alive, but soon that green will vanish into horrible snow. Worst time of the year for Sei is winter. It was always annoyingly cold and it got everything wet. It was always such a mess to lean up. Every year, if it wasn't one thing, it was another with that dreadful whether.

He walked to the end of the pathway that led to a dirt road. He'd take the car, but what was the point? It'll waste such a nice day and he should enjoy it while he still can.

Facing away from the house, he tilted his head down, letting his hair cover most of his face. "I thought I had closed up the barrier."

"You did, but how can such a weak barrier keep me out? You should know by now that at your weak state that you are in right now, that you can't keep strong spirits out." A Spirit in a while and gold Satan kimono stood before him. Her lips grew a smile as she reached out to touch him.

Sei glanced over his should towards the house and then spoke in a different language towards the Spirit. Her language. "We can't do this right now, let me regenerate first. If you take anymore from me, I'll die and you'll be left with nothing."

The Spirit paused and looked at him with sharp eyes. She knew he was speaking the truth, whenever he spoke in their language, he always meant what he says. Pulling her hand back she sighed. "You disappoint me Horudā-sama." Slowly fading away she was gone.

'Sama', was something he hasn't heard her use in a long time. It was a sign of respect and how she thought of him to be higher than her. So while she insulted him, he showed him respects as well. That spirits always did annoy him the most. Spirits who came from the Japanese line, were always the weirdest for him.

The thing is, with Sei's spirits, no one can see them until they use his energy. So far as everyone can see, he is talking to himself like a crazed person. But anyone who knows him, knows that he is never talking to himself and he is never alone.

Ace sighed a little. "Mmph. I guess we should be heading back now... You must be quite cold with only a dress on. But nevertheless. If you want to hear my personal opinion, I think it would be better if we stayed at, or at least near the house. The likelihood that Yvette would end up rekindling your anger is too high. Starting a fight in the street is the last thing we need," Ace stops mid sentence.

She'd mention how they should be wary, for if they were to attract the other's attention... It might end badly. Yes, at first glance, the odds may appear to be in their favor, though Ace knew better than to misjudge. Just as Henrietta said, something was not right about the others. Anyone with a brain could sense it. Of course, if they wanted to figure out what was so off about the three, they could provoke a fight. But the risks were too high. They had barely an idea of what they were dealing with. And as unlikely as it may be, the unusual feeling both Henrietta and Ace sensed could have been one of Carter's tricks. Though there weren't many shadows around at the time... She brushed the subject aside. Maybe it would be better to talk this out with the others instead of taking it in herself.

"But as I was saying... A fight is the last thing we need. Mortals might get involved and we'd attract too much attention to ourselves. We haven't even settled on what move we're going to make." Ace finished. Spotting Henrietta's extended hand, she took it upon herself to take it. Though the now shining sun was beginning to dry the ground, it was still somewhat wet to Ace's great displeasure. Seeing as Ace was still barefoot, and her feet were indeed wet, she found it hard to stand. In all honesty, she wanted to collapse.

Ace's feet might as well have been gold bricks, and her legs were not helping. Her steps were more like shuffles, and without meaning to, she ended up putting a majority of her body weight on Henrietta--- though Ace never really weighed that much, she did feel bad for Henrietta; she didn't really want to lean on her...literally. But perhaps the oncoming wave of slight nausea felt worse. "My apologies," Ace muttered. "I really should have put some shoes on."

Yvette was definitly taken aback when Iraa came, from her perspective, out of nowhere. She didn't show it, though part of her was surprised and little annoyed. The real question was, how long had Iraa been standing there? She shook her head, the question was irrelevant. "Well, that was a rather loud display of emotions."

With a snarky tone, she commented, "Yeah, your conclusion's a little late, sweetheart." But before Iraa had time to react to her comment, which was actually more on the nicer side than most of her remarks, she followed up with a response to Sei's request to hurry up. "Well, I'd love to get this over with, but unfortunately I do need to straighten myself up first. So if you could just deal with it and wait five minutes, that would be lovely."

And with that, Yvette left the room, only to find something to wear. Shifting through all of her options, she settled for a pair of dark blue, slightly baggy pants, and a plain collared shirt with a dark purple tie. Despite her element's bright qualities, she'd always been more of a darkly colored person... Though, Yvette never really cared about her appearance anyway. The only reason she was changing was because she didn't want to get her nightwear wet... But of corse, Neris could always---

Oh... Right. Neris was against them now. As well as Keith and Carter... As much as Yvette didn't get along with, well, anyone, she still found herself dreading any sort of battle with them. And she found herself missing them; missing the times when it was the right of them. Fate was cruel at times, but surely, Yvette had thought they could work it out... And now, they're going at each other?

Yvette let out a sigh. She knew it was bad, but... She never imagined something like this.

"A fight is the last thing we need. Mortals might get involved and we'd attract too much attention to ourselves. We haven't even settled on what move we're going to make." said Ace before she grabbed Henrietta's hand. She took notice of Ace's pause, but she figured she would not press Ace more than she had by mentioning Keith.

"Heh, I guess you're right!" Henrietta agreed with a nervous laugh. Yvette was awfully touchy this morning. She was only starting to feel the better. The last thing she needed was Yvette's snide comments.

When Ace grabbed her hand, Henrietta noticed the amount of weight Alice was pulling but it was not a big deal for Henri. Naturally she pulled Alice up with her strong, solid arms. To be able to lift the Earth and shift gravity required a great deal of strength, so she was always exercising and training hard to build and maintain her muscular physique. She remembered a few times Ace suffered like this and it was always with water. Then she remembered it was had just been raining. Looping her arm through Ace's she helped her walk back towards the house. The fiery look in her eye's indicated her thought process. She was thinking about what could have happened to those three. Perhaps it was something a lot simpler than they had imagined. Maybe they were just upset and hurt like herself and the others. No, something like that wouldn't change them THAT much. Without even seeing him, she knew Sei was in front of the house due to the vibrations in the Earth. She was familiar with the small vibrations that came from each Disciple's feet. Usually she could tell who was approaching when she actually listened to her surroundings depending on the amount of weight and force being sent into the Earth with each step.

"Ah, Sei's upfront!" Henrietta grinned. As they approached the household she was able to see Sei at last. It appeared he was talking to someone yet no one was there. Often she would see him do this since she lived with him all these years. She figured it was a spirit and saw an opportunity to tease Sei as he'd normally do with her. "Talking to thin air again, huh Sei?"

She arched her eyebrow smiling deviously. Sometimes Sei could really get on her nerves, but for the most part she really liked Sei. He didn't seem to hold her temper against her for the most part. Though she knew everyone would get at least a little annoyed by her tantrums. It wasn't that she wanted to yell, she just did not know any other way to express herself.

Iraa was pulled out of her darker thoughts as Yvette piped up in response to Iraa's wise crack, "Yeah, your conclusion's a little late, sweetheart." Iraa squinted at the girl for a moment but said nothing, sensing that Yvette's comment held little malice.

Iraa had no time to answer Yvette's comment as Sei spoke. "Now that you are up, my lady. Why don't you join Yvette and myself? I am in bit of a rush, so if you ladies don't mind, whether you come or go, we have to do it now."

Iraa rolled her eyes at Sei, but smirked at him anyway. She was happy that they would be getting out of the house finally, and she liked seeing Louie. He always knew how to make her feel less... well, less angry all of the time. As Sei left the house and Yvette went back up to get dressed, Iraa stood, gulped down the last of the coffee black, ignoring the growl her stomach gave in protest. As she hurried out the door and noticed Sei at the end of the pathway, Iraa saw that the man seemed to look in a bit of shock at the thin air in front of him. Iraa had seen this before, as had all of the other Disciples. Out of curiosity, Iraa reached out the feel the air in front of Sei. As was usual every other time she had tried this, Iraa felt a slight disturbance in the air directly in front of him. There was something that felt like the shape of a human, and just as Iraa was about to try to get more of the shape of the spirit, the disturbance in the air vanished.

Just as the spirit seemed to disappear (or at least from what Iraa could tell) Henrietta came around the house with a weak-looking Alice at her arm and exclaimed, "Talking to thin air again, huh Sei?" Iraa turned to Sei and gave him a questioning, but also slightly worried. Was he alright? Something weird had just happened with that spirit and Iraa could tell. She didn't know what, but it was strange. Before she could think more on the subject, Iraa's senses were turned to Alice and her rapid heart beat and heavier breathing. Iraa looked at Alice for a moment with concern, wondering if she had in some way been injured during the last few minutes. It was not until Iraa noticed the girl's feet dragging that she realized what was happening. Although it didn't happen to Alice often, Iraa had seen it happen before when the Fire Disciple was exposed to water.

Iraa hurried over to the two girls, but slowed as she reached them. "Are you okay Alice?"
Iraa questioned, before she mentally slapped herself for the stupid question. Of course she wasn't "okay". Iraa furrowed her brow in apology before correcting herself, "Sorry. Very stupid question. What I mean is, can I help?" Iraa walked alongside Alice and Henrietta, looking both the girls over. She wondered what they had been talking about just a while ago. It had seemed private, so Iraa had given them their privacy, but she couldn't help her curious nature.

His eyes almost pasted over Iraa when Henri called something out to him, but before he could change the expression in his eyes. He knew she had saw death in them.

"Ahh, sorry give me a.." He rubbed his eyes and pinched the bar of his nose for a little second. When he finally collected himself he smiled softly. "Side Effects." He pushed it into that. Ending the conversation with just that as Iraa rushed over to Alice.

Noticing she was hurt, there wasn't much he could do other than carry her to Louie's place. "We should take her to see Louie, just in case she didn't damage anything important." Sei took Alice's body in his arms without hesitation or struggle.

It was times like these he actually felt useful when it came to living with nothing but women. "I got it Iraa. Just tell Yvette for me."

Without giving anyone any chance to argue about anything. Sei was already in a rush to get going and with waiting on everyone...by the time they would leave, it'll would be winter time. This wasn't anything of hate though, he loved those girls very deeply and would do anything for them. Sure, the girls can come off as a huge pain in the ass, but he thought of them all as his girls. The girls who stuck by his side to the very end, the girls he would risk everything for in a blink of an eye. If any of them were to tell him to kill someone other than whom was in the group, he would.

Do excuse this Alice, it's probably not as bad as I am making it seem. I just needed to get going." He gave her a care free smile and kept walking down the road, farther and farther away from the house.

While still walking he kept it care free. Their lands were safe, and if it wasn't, he'd always get warning before anyone. This is due to because of a few spirits he knows that lingers the borderlines between lands. 'Lands', so Sei puts it to make things more understanding for him. The spirits where Fox Demons, not as bad as it sounds. They're only demons because of their slyness that they seem to not be able to get rid of. For a fox, something like that really is hard to just ban from their life, it was apart of them like their tail.

Sei couldn't help but let his mind drift off, but at the same while keeping focus on everything around him. He would have forgotten Alice was in his arms if it wasn't for her heart beat and warmth that he felt. Plus it was the thing that made his mind get pulled in, in the first place. It was something he wasn't use to. So whenever he did get in contact with it, he would always seem to get lost in it. Sei's whole life he spent with the dead. Whether it be of animals or demons, angle, people, you name it and he saw it. Anything dead that is. So physical contact was rare for him. As much of a ladies man he is, he'd never get use to flesh or living things.

It can either be a good thing or a bad thing. Depending on who it is, he can take it in as comfort to relax himself. Sometimes he'd find it hard to stop himself once he gets going, sexually. Other times, is when he is unexpectedly touched. Depending on who touched him, it could lead to death before he realizes what he had done. He has to be familiar with the the person's flesh in order for them to be safe with the unexpected touches. Those on his team, he let them know first hand before they got involved with him of how dangerous he could be.

Being the summoner of spirits isn't always a good thing. There is always prices to pay, some prices worse than others and as for Sei, he has to pay them every single day. Even with a smile on his face or a full on act of being fine, it has become so much of a habit that it isn't an act no more. Sometimes he calls it a 'Side effect'. The pain he had grown use to, the things he had seen, the things he had done, the places he had been. Things like that would most defiantly drive someone way past the looney house, even way past suicide. Sei was strong, very strong, this was why he was given the ability to do this. He was trusted with it and now he had to do everything in his powers to keep it that way.

Taking a deep breath, he realized his face had gotten too close and her body was tight against his. Distracting himself he pulled back and chuckled, asking a casual question while trying to look like a peace of heaven. "Do you think I should get my hair cut? I been dwelling on this for a while now."

Ace never thought she needed nor did she want attention over, what was to her, such a little matter. As she saw Iraa rush over, part of her questioned how 'injured' she appeared to be. She was actually trying to hide her discomfort, though the reactions of her friends told her that she wasn't doing a very good job with that. "Are you okay Alice?" Iraa had questioned. Though before Ace had time to respond, Iraa quickly corrected herself. "Sorry. Very stupid question. What I mean is, can I help?"

With a smile, Ace began to explain that it was only the water; really, she just needed to dry off--- though before she could finish her explanation, she found herself being swept off her feet by none other than Sei. She let out a small yelp of protest, she saw no reason as to why she was being carried, especially against her will. She struggled at first, though found herself unwilling to moments later. As much as she did not want to be carried, she was still drained of her strength. It seemed her only possible way out of being carried was to convince him to put her down with words.

"Sei," She muttered. "As much as I appreciate the kind gesture is it truly necessary to carry me? I mean-- I'm really not that... This isn't required, and I didn't exactly request this--- mpmh." She trailed off with what seemed like a grunt of disapproval, before sucking it up and remaining silent.

"Do excuse this Alice, it's probably not as bad as I am making it seem. I just needed to get going." Sei had said with a carefree smile, though in return she only let out yet another grunt.

The longer they walked--- no, the longer Sei walked, the more his mind seemed to drift. Ace didn't mind this, however, the more he drifted the tighter his grip on Alice became and the closer he got. At one point she started to shift around uncomfortably, letting out what seemed like a nervous chuckle. Eventually he stopped and pulled back, chuckling lightly... Trying to make things casual, he asked Ace a question. "Do you think I should get my hair cut? I been dwelling on this for a while now."

"I, erm, guess you could keep it long... a trip to the barber would prove quite distracting at times like this. Speaking of which... keep an eye out for mortals. With what's been going on lately, they're not exactly accustom to our presence." Ace began. She started to shift around again, though this time she was only trying to get a better view. Ace was known for being short, in fact, she stood at roughly five feet. She and Iraa had always been the shortest of the disciples... and it didn't help that Sei was around six feet tall.

As Yvette had finished changing clothes and brushing her hair, with little effort put in, she came outside only to find Sei already walking away. Henrietta was back, and Iraa was standing next to her.

Part of Yvette wondered where Henrietta had gone in the first place; no to mention Alice. Though she quickly brushed the topic aside when reminded of how Sei was, impatiently, walking off. She found herself too annoyed at Sei to catch up; she told her she was going to join him and yet he was, what, rejecting her offer to company him? After he asked if she'd wanted to come? That was enough to genuinely piss her off.

She mumbled a curse word under her breath before making her way over to Iraa and Henrietta. "Well, I see that you're back. Are you alright now or are you just back to break more of our cups? And on second thought... where the hell is Alice?"

"Are you okay Alice?" Iraa had said with concern before pausing. "Sorry. Very stupid question. What I mean is, can I help?"

Henrietta beamed at Iraa as she rushed over to heir side to help. In actuality, she knew Alice would be okay but she figured she would help her inside to dry her feet and put on some shoes. Iraa had a curious gleam in her eyes but their attention was broken when Sei rushed over and picked up Ace. "We should take her to see Louie, just in case she didn't damage anything important. I got it Iraa. Just tell Yvette for me." Henrietta couldn't help but snicker knowing how Ace hated being the center of attention. As Sei began to head off down the road Henrietta shouted, "Be careful Sei! You too Ace! I'm not sure what's happening nearby but I sense a lot of vibrations in the Earth..."

Henrietta was never wrong about someone or something being nearby. After centuries of practice, she grew to fully understand the different vibrations everything produced. She watched them slowly disappear in the distance before turning back to Iraa with a gin. "She'll be fine! Say, been practicing your punches Iraa? If I recall correctly, they were more like a tickle last time!" she bellowed before hearing Yvette directly behind her.

"Well, I see that you're back. Are you alright now or are you just back to break more of our cups? And on second thought... where the hell is Alice?" Gritting her teeth with an eyebrow twitch, she forced herself to breathe before turning back to Yvette, "I'm fine. Sorry. And beats me, Sei just swooped her up in his arms like some noble knight." Scratching her head while looking around, she seemed focused and alert. There were was so much movement occurring about a mile away from their house, though it wasn't approaching them. Just a lot of stirring about. "Hey guys, I think something may be happening nearby. I'm worried for Sei and Ace. Seems like humans..." she stated solemnly. When the goddess died and world order basically went into shambles, humans did not always welcome the Disciples with open arms. Henrietta recalled that one time she was casually walking in the nearby city and was shot at by humans who had spotted her. She never made the mistake to be so careless again when out on her own. Though things seemed particularly bad as of late. The humans were growing restless and it was dangerous for them. It wasn't as though they could harm them.

"I'm fine. Sorry. And beats me, Sei just swooped her up in his arms like some noble knight."

Yvette pursed her lips. With mortals stirring and Carter, Keith and Neris as well, it wasn't exactly safe to go out. Which is why she offered to go in the first place... and yet, here she was, standing still, not going. She shook her head, as long as there wasn't anything particularly bad happening, they'd be fine. "Hey guys, I think something may be happening nearby. I'm worried for Sei and Ace. Seems like humans..." So much for nothing bad happening.

As Yvette heard Henrietta, her concern only grew. "Hmph. Well, if we're supposed to be against the others, then... then, well, we need to take some offensive kind of action. Do... do you think we could gear this, stirring of humans, toward the others? It would never hurt them, but it'd probably be good for us. It'd be like some kind of distraction, right? Something to give us time to figure out what we're up against... and speaking of what we're up against, um, last night, I didn't find anything. Nothing in particular, but I'm sure you've figured that much out for yourselves. I want to keep looking, but... I don't think I'll find anything. I need something to go on, but I have next to nothing. But I may have something if we try and watch how they deal with the mortals. Surely if we see their powers in action now, it will give us some kind of hint toward this... this boost they must have. And it's not like anyone would get horribly injured; they wouldn't kill the humans, I'm sure. That's just--- that's just cruel. It's not like the mortals have any useful defenses... It would be some kind of massacre if the others were to kill them."

She began to trail off, only to continue talking. With each idea she had, the more she talked. It was like her way of thinking, only, she did it out loud. "But if we were to be caught watching... that would be bad. Very bad, though, we would have mortals on our side for the most part, though I don't really see how that would help. Maybe for a few things, like a cover... For a few seconds we'd have the element of surprise. With Iraa's wind, we could probably listen into their conversation too, so we'd know if they'd spotted us, and with some kind of sound bubble, our conversations would be secret. We might be able to pull it off... Though, we need to actually find them first. Not to mention we need to find some way to get the mortals on our side, at least for the time being... hmm.

Oh, I'm getting carried away. What do you guys think? Should we approach the mortals or back off? You've already got my say."

"Hey... it was either this or a rat-infested sewer, so I'd count your blessings and be a little grateful if I were you." Keith chuckled at Carter's remark. He instinctively tried to push Carter's buttons further by snarkily replying, "If I really wanted to I could just sleep in the wilderness or force the others out of their home. But what fun would that be?" With a sly grin he turned his back as he began to step outside. It was early afternoon by now and the sun was preparing to set very soon. Keith always hated the shorter days of winter, it was rather depressing for him. "Now go on, get outside. I'll cover you from the shadows... And, Keith, don't do anything stupid with the other five just yet, we'll talk about that afterwards." He only shrugged when really he ached to stretch his limbs and do damage. He looked at Carter and suddenly made the most innocent of faces and his eyes completely softened. It was that gaze he'd make that always seemed to make Carter and others either really uncomfortable or much too comfortable.

He looked out of place in the rugged landscape as he stepped outside carefully. Each time he stepped on grass or near the newly blossomed flowers he'd slightly move his fingers backwards and forwards making the vines extend from the ground and follow him closely. The movements were very silent and unnoticeable. Though he'd expect Neris and Carter to notice his swift movements. Glancing around, he didn't see much. So he listened carefully as he pretended to play with the rubble on the ground and kicking dirt behind him. The vines continued to grow and that's when he heard movement behind a slightly eroded brick wall that covered a stairwell that led into another abandoned building. There was an empty can of soda nearby, so he kicked it towards their direction pretending to play a game. He skipped after it when someone leaped towards him from behind the wall and a few others emerged out in the open in different locations. The man was holding a crowbar that he struck at Keith. He was fast, but Keith was faster. Swiftly he dodged the attack with a smirk on his face as he directed the vines to wrap around the man's legs snaring him. He started to shout and the more he struggled the tighter the vines gripped his legs. Keith then jumped a fair height onto the brick wall the man was hiding behind with his mind racing. Two... three... four other men were out in the opening each armed with different weapons including two guns that were being pointed at him. The adrenaline was coursing through his veins as he hopped off the wall and hid behind the stairwell for cover hearing the bullets be shot shortly after.

Waiting for Carter to make a move, he quickly glanced from beside the wall to see the men running towards him. He began to grit his teeth as he thrust his hands forward as the vines moved with his hands and they whipped a metal pipe from one man's grip and snared one of the gunman. Unfortunately he could not get a clear view for another attack and did not have enough plants to work with either. The gunman kept shooting at him leaving him with no choice but to cover his head for protection. He would not be able to move from his position and further be of help until their aim was distracted.

As Yvette rambled on, Henrietta started to consider her initial suggestion, "Do... do you think we could gear this, stirring of humans, toward the others?" For sure they could use mortals as a cover, though wouldn't such a thing oppose their morals? She couldn't be sure what the other three were thinking and remembering how grim and creepy their faces all were made her shudder. Particularly Keith's smile that no longer emitted a sense of comfort for her. It was as if he was completely different. Surely they wouldn't harm the humans though? Even Yvette said so. Would they? Henrietta had a bad feeling, but an even worse feeling of them sitting around at this place in the dark. They didn't know what they were up against, it was potentially dangerous so they'd all have to stick together. Suddenly she had an idea.

Pounding her fist into her other hand firmly, she grinned as she looked at Yvette and Iraa. "Using mortals would be a great cover, but I don't know how we'd get them to be on our side or get them to stir trouble. Unless we lead a protest ourselves or show at a protest that opposes our existence. Any mortals seeing us will cause a lot of trouble and we'd have to act as decoys." Finally she'd get to punch those jerks in the face! They deserved it. But how would they guarantee the three would show? They would have to find out for sure somehow. Maybe they could disguise themselves and promote the riot in all the closest cities? Each option started becoming more and more dangerous. Not only could the innocent get hurt, but they themselves were at risk from the other three and humans themselves.

"This can be really dangerous, Yvette," Henrietta began. "But I think it's our only option. What were your ideas to get the humans to listen to us? And how are we even going to find them?"

Henrietta was built like a rock herself, she was strong and certain she could volunteer herself to travel in the city even though there's a huge risk. But finding the three would be the hardest part. What were they waiting for? Did they plan to strike them too? This fighting needed to end and end soon at that! But Henrietta began to feel overconfident. It wasn't even fathomable that they could possibly defeat five of them with only three on their side. They would have more fighters, therefore they surely had the advantage! At least that was what Henrietta continued to make herself believe. She thought by one good fight this feuding would end and all would return to normal. However, she was being naive for their battles to come.

"This can be really dangerous, Yvette," Henrietta began. "But I think it's our only option. What were your ideas to get the humans to listen to us? And how are we even going to find them?"

At this, Yvette was clueless. How were they going to get the humans to not try to murder them. And on top of that, listen to them... Well, they could always conceal their faces, though that was bound to look suspicious. She gritted her teeth and crossed her arms. They could easily find the humans by tracking the vibrations Henrietta sensed, but... the other disciples? They could try to lure them out, but the question was, how? "I'm not sure yet. We might be able to hide the fact that we're disciples, but that can easily go wrong. Or one of us could bait the humans... while the other two pretend to join the riot and knock out the bait. It'd win the human's trust, for the most part. Though, that's pretty dangerous. Plus, I don't know how we'd pull it off. But if we were to go through with it, I could bait. I really wouldn't mind; I haven't run in forever. I need to stretch a little, you know?

As for how to find the disciples... I'm not sure. We'd have to lure them out, but I don't how we would. You two got any ideas?" Yvette finished, glancing at Iraa and Henrietta.

As Keith continued to duck for cover, he heard the men begin to shout and the sound of flesh being beaten. Immediately he knew it was Carter. Barrel rolling out into the open to avoid any forces coming towards him, he hopped to his feet and began to run towards the first snared gunman who was lifting his arms to aim his pistol at Keith's head. He shot but in a blink of an eye Keith ducked and gracefully twirled once towards the man before punching him in the stomach knocking the wind out of him. The man shrieked as he felt the air escape his lips while staring at Keith's puny body in shock. Keith may have looked frail and compared to the others he hit the weakest. But to mere mortals, his strength was still much greater. The man stumbled backwards and Keith gestured his hands upwards as the vines moved with him and gripped the man's arms before pulling him down to the ground and trapping him. Snickering he quickly turned his attention back towards Carter who was acting fast, taking out the melee fighters without even breaking a sweat. His eyes darted towards the gunman Carter had taken out who was groaning trying to lift himself from the ground. He allowed his hands to lay flat at his sides then tucked his thumbs inward. Taking a deep breath to focus his energy, he instantly stretched his arms upright, rolled them backwards in a counter clockwise direction before extending them out in front of him again. The vines from the cracks around them grew and moved like lightning striking the gunman before grabbing the pistol on the ground. He then directed the vines to grip the other unconscious men to ensure they would not move again and try to attack.

He then saw the last standing fighter limp towards Carter as though he had a chance left. Watching Carter use his palm to topple the large man over, Keith began to laugh finding it humorous as though he was watching an unevenly matched tournament. All he really needed was popcorn. He continued to observe as Carter crushed the man's knee and heard the shrill scream of pain before the man seemingly fell unconscious from the pain. Keith began to cheer.

"And Carter delivers the final blow! He wins! Congratulations!" Keith exclaimed while clapping as a few flowers ejected their petals and showered them for their victory.

Keith then took notice of the gunman he had trapped on the floor and a piece of crumpled paper sticking out of the man's pocket. Opening the paper he quickly glanced it over and bellowed. Not only were their faces on the paper, but so were the other five disciples!

"Look Carter, we're all wanted!" he laughed as he crumpled the paper and tossed it in Carter's direction. His face then fell and he revealed a devilish smile. "How unfortunate."

Henrietta seemed to have been thinking hard. But thinking wasn't really her style. Instead she grinned and shouted, "Well then it's settled. Let's go!" She then took off running while feeling the vibrations ripple underneath her feet. Even with shoes on she was able to 'see' the protestors. Finally some action! They're going to come, I'll make sure they do. In truth, Henrietta didn't have a plan. She was a spontaneous thinker and was tired of sitting around. Many would call her reckless, but she saw it as doing something about the problem. She didn't know how they would get the three's attention, but once they found out what was going on with the humans it'd be easier to figure out. No, she'd hide first before blindly walking into the crowd. She would have to listen to what they were all saying. She had never seen such unified and large amounts of human movement before. This had to be something big. But where were the humans all going was the main question. She couldn't wait anymore, she couldn't sit, she felt sick with anxiety the more she sat around doing nothing. Was this a disciple friendly crowd or a hostile one? Some humans seemed to have had high regard towards the disciples while others aimed to kill and harm them.

What if they created a distraction? Surely there was bound to be news stations around reporting the protest and keeping the public updated. If they showed up, the others would find out eventually. Perhaps at the scene she could pick a fight with Yvette or Iraa? With Yvette it was always easy to tick her off, all she'd have to do was act even more reckless and annoying than usual. But she never fist fought with Yvette before. So much stirred in her mind as she tried thinking of solutions while running. Along the way she felt certain they would run into Sei and Alice eventually. She could spread the word, but did not plan to stop. It was almost as if she felt confident enough to take down all three of those traitors. Her rage would be her aid.

Iraa attempted to smile back at Alice and listened as she began to explain her weakness, but she was promptly cut off by Sei sweeping her up into his arms and promptly carrying her off like a child with little of an explanation to his actions. As Iraa watched, she chuckled along with Henrietta, knowing how strange the scene was and how Alice was probably hating it.

Iraa's cheery smile dropped as Henrietta shouted after the two, "Be careful Sei! You too Ace! I'm not sure what's happening nearby but I sense a lot of vibrations in the Earth..." So the weird tremors in the air weren't just Iraa's imagination. After the latest disagreement among the Disciples, Iraa's powers had been off. She had been feeling things in the air that weren't there and she had occasionally not been feeling things that were there. This was obviously unusual for Ira (and was probably not a good sign), but Iraa did not feel like concerning the others, so she had brushed it off as a figment of her imagination stemming from the fact that she had been nervous and tense lately. So, when Iraa had started sensing strange masses moving around in the distance after she had woken up this morning, she had brushed it off as another error in her powers; however, now that Henrietta felt something too, Iraa knew that she wasn't imagining it.

Iraa now felt like an idiot now for not telling the others about her recent problems with her powers. They would have understood -especially Henrietta and Alice- and they probably would have been able to help her. Now, there was a possibility that whatever she was sensing was real and dangerous and she had brushed it off as nothing more than her own nervous energy. What if something bad were to happen to one of the others that she could have prevented? Now feeling worried and guilty, Iraa began to concentrate on pushing her senses outward. She furrowed her brow in concentration and anxiety and only vaguely noticed that Yvette had joined her and Henrietta, but the two other girls seemed to give no indication of noticing that Iraa's mind was in another place.

Along with her senses, Iraa's mind was pushed out past Sei and Alice and past the trees around them until she felt the disturbances in the air that she had felt before. There were masses hidden in the trees -humans. Why were they there? Iraa gave herself no time to focus on any one human and she concentrated harder and pushed her powers out farther until she came to a group of the humans moving around quickly. Some were falling to the ground, others were running in one direction, and others were yelling things to one another. This was the scene of a battle. As Iraa 'watched' -or rather felt the movements in the air- for a moment, she realized that two men and a woman where fighting against a group of men, and although they were outnumbered, the group of three were vastly overpowering the others by some means that Iraa's senses could not pick up on. Iraa concentrated even harder on the three figures and in an instant, she knew who they were. The fighting styles, the weapons, the breathing patterns, the heartbeats... The realization hit her like a ton of bricks and she was knocked completely out of her trance. In less than a second, Iraa's senses came rushing back to her from where they had been miles away. She had pushed her mind out farther than she had ever tried and as she was dropped completely back into her own body, Iraa heard the words, "You two got any ideas?" come from Yvette before she gasped and stumbled backward.

How had Iraa not realized immediately that it was the other three Disciples? They had been far away and almost completely out of her range of sensing, but she would have expected herself recognize them in a split second. What was wrong with her? Iraa blinked rapidly and stared at the Yvette and Henrietta, wanting to explain herself, but not knowing what to say. Were the humans coming for them too? What did they plan on doing? 'Probably killing us, or at least trying to,' Iraa thought to herself. She closed her eyes and tried to push out her senses again, but this time, she was too distracted by her own loud heartbeat and ragged breathing. Giving up in frustration, Iraa opened her eyes and stared at Yvette and Henrietta. "I think we should go get Sei and Alice."
, Iraa said in a quiet, distant voice. She knew that the two girls would understand that Iraa had felt something in the air, and that they would want to know what it was; however, Iraa's mind was already drifting off from the fight that was going on miles away, and was now focused on getting to Sei and Alice and then telling everyone. Something big was happening and Iraa didn't like the vibrations in the air one bit.

"I think we should go get Sei and Alice."

The skepticism on Yvette's face was obvious by now. It wasn't because of anything the others had said; it was just Iraa's actions. She seemed far off. She was focused on something else, she just didn't know what. But what bothered her the most was that Iraa wasn't even telling them what was wrong. Was she keeping secrets? Was she hiding something? But what would she hide, why would she hide it? Yvette's mind was boggling with questions. She must've sensed something in the air, is what Yvette eventually concluded.

But why wouldn't she tell them? Hmph. Well, she'd just mentioned Sei and Ace... maybe they had something to do with it? She shook her head, trying to push away the subject. "Well, if we're going to find Sei and Alice, let's hurry. And if we want to find them quickly, we might need a couple jackets, with hoods, to hide our faces... I'll go fetch mine."

Without another word, she ran back into the house, fetching her favorite jacket. With luck, it would be able to keep her warm in this horrid winter weather. The only thing good about the cold season was that you had an excuse to drink hot chocolate. At least, in Yvette's eyes. She quickly slipped the jacket on, before running back to the others and bringing up her hood. It might not help that much, but at least it'd be harder to classify her as a disciple... She hoped.

ImageAlice's suspicions about the mortals were enough to keep her on alert, though Henrietta's warning made her all the more tense. With her luck lately, the humans would surely be out for the disciples... Hurrah, she thought. As if her week wasn't bad enough. And if the mortals were to challenge her and Sei, it wasn't like Ace would set them all on fire. Not only would it be glaring obvious, perhaps the equivalent to a gigantic sign that spelled, "HEY! I'M OVER HERE!", but Alice didn't want to kill them. If she happened to run into the mortals, she'd have to use tactics and strength to win.

Speaking of the others, what were they up to? Surely they weren't just sitting back, enjoying the weather. Alice heaved a sigh. How could someone possibly enjoy winter, anyway? It was wet, and cold! Sure, the cold didn't affect her, but taking thermal energy required more effort, not to mention there was much less of it. And she didn't dare think about snow... She shuddered. Maybe she should think about something else.

...How long had Sei been--- her thoughts were interrupted by the last thing she wanted to hear. Gunshots. Gunshots meant mortals. They'd been spotted; but Ace was a little less than surprised.

"Put me down," She murmured. It came out as more of an order than a request, though how it was taken, Alice couldn't care less. And to her content, she soon found herself on the ground. Thankfully, they'd been walking for a while,so the sun's rays helped to dry the ground, though not completely. They were on pavement now. The ground was somewhat damp, but as long as Ace avoided puddles, she'd be fine.

Alice first found herself seeking cover, above all things, and found herself ducking behind a vacant hot dog stand... What am I up against, she thought to herself. Peeking over the top, she found, to her surprise and immediate distaste, she'd spotted four gunmen and five melees. If they were to be shot, it would mean the opposite of good to say the least. They'd have to take the gunmen down first... She could always---

A sudden daze came over Alice as she was struck on the head by a mortal. The impact, normally, would've been enough to KO a human, but being a disciple had its perks. Though shocked for a second or two, Alice quickly recovered and switched into battle mode. Her leg, now on fire, swept the mortal off of his feet, quite literally. As the mortal let out a loud screech and began to fall to the ground, clutching his burnt legs, Ace took it upon herself to grab him by the collar of his shirt, and slam him into the hot dog cart. The moment the cart fell, gunshots rang out and once again, Alice found herself ducking for cover.

A searing pain in her left shoulder told her she was a second too late. But Alice hadn't the time to focus on a measly gunshot wound; she could ask Louie about it later... Pursing her lips, she scanned her brain for some kind of plan. Within seconds, it hit her. Ace quickly turned to the mortal who'd hit her in the head, as she pushed him away from the hot dog cart. The human, seeing the opportunity to regain his footing, he barrel rolled away, to Ace's content.

Seizing the moment, she made a swift sweeping movement with her hand. She winced; her wounded shoulder was not pleased with the motion. Within seconds, the grease from the hot dog cart was set alight. A monstrously large fire began to roar. Any mortal with his sanity still intact wouldn't dare come near Alice. Even her fellow disciples would be wary of her; she was literally bathing in her element and water would only help the flames, so it wasn't like the disciple of water could do anything to stop it.

The fire was big enough to be seen from miles away, so part of Ace knew she was revealing her location to her fellow disciples, but she wasn't that worried. Surely it would attract everyone, which meant it would end up as a three versus five. Alice was confident in her friends. They had the advantage, for sure, and if their execution was good it would be an easy win.
