Setting

This is the forest that surrounds Asheville. A huge, dark and mysterious place, it is home to the entire community of Killers. Civilians rarely traverse here, and usually only do so under the companionship of a Hunter.
The Asheville Forest has a dark past, with many disappearances occurring almost regularly, as there seems to be no shortage of foolhardy young people wandering into the forest, hoping to see a ghost. They usually find much more.
There are several buildings in the Asheville Forest, ranging from the “abandoned” Ashwood Sanitorium to the sketchy Mortem Pub and Inn to the dark hallways and recesses of the gigantic old underground bunker that sprawls beneath the entirety of the Forest.

Red Rain wanders through the forest until he comes across the bar. This was his best bet to locate the kid. He had discovered a gun in his bag as he had crossed the bridge. It might be a tracker of some kind, or it might be mundane. He decided to assume the former and set a trap. He found a nearby tree that looked as though he could hide in it. He climbs the tree and pulls the gun from his bag. He hooks it on one of the branches and hops out of the tree. He looks around for a bush to hide in, and, when he finds one, hunkers down in it, pulling out his sword as he does.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are!" Checker called, scanning the forest with narrowed eyes as he rubbed his fingers against his Karambit blades. "I know you're here, and I'm really looking forward to killing you. Again." He said the last word with a smug undertone, pausing in his steps as he did so.

Mr. Smith makes a slight noise as he lands in the tree his gun is in. He grabs the gun and looks around quickly to make sure he didn't fall for whatever ambush was planned around it. "I found my gun. I know you don't like being indebted to me, but I have an idea. I leave you here to fight without me, and we call it even." He gives Checker a winning smile, and starts to jump from one tree to another like a squirrel.

Red Rain watches this from his bush. He was very lucky to find him so quickly. Also lucky that it was him that had found the man and not one of the others. He smirks to himself at the tall man's words. No honor among Killers. He thought.

Carlyle flew lower, by the tops of the trees. He had planned on perching on the roof of the bar/Inn but it was too high up to see anything. He flew in circles above the forest, his hands licking the leaves on the tops of the trees. He watched as Checker boldly walked through the forest, calling out Red Rain. He didn't know who this other killer was but He had shared a couple words with Checker and had watched him from a roof top. If Carlyle had to pick sides he knew where he would go but for now he just wanted to watch, especially now that Mr. Smith seemed to be leaving the scene.
His wings stretched out, moving over the air as they were meant to, occasionally folding up and pushing up through the air. Carlyle kept his mask on as he watched Checker, not able to see this mysterious Red Rain yet.

Checker continued tromping through the foliage. He heard Mr. Smith speak to him, and although he couldn't see the tall man, he nodded in the voice's general direction. He heard a soft noise, and turned his head just in time to see a lanky leg disappear behind a tree, heading away from him. There goes Mr. Smith. He returned his attention to Red Rain. Where the bloody mary was he? He stopped and raised his arms, twirling his knives. "I'm right here! I'm right here, Rain, waiting for you." He gave a low chuckle. "Hurry up, I'm starting to get nervous!" He turned in a slow circle as he spoke, scanning the trees.

Red Rain rolled his eyes. He knew there was a third one. He had seen them fly off. It did not seem as if the guy was going to wander any closer. Red Rain stands with a sigh. He removes himself from the bush and starts moving in. "I knew I would find you out here, Chess boy. I just didn't think it would be this easy." He lifts up his sword into a fighting stance.

Carlyle smiled behind his mask as he saw who he would assume was Red Rain. Oddly enough he had expected a girl, for no particular reason.
He flew into a tree that lined the clearing the two killers stood in. Carlyle perched himself on a thick branch high off the ground and watched through the leaves as things got a bit more interesting. He wouldn't involve himself quite yet and he was curious if the killers knew he was still there.

(I'm so sorry it took me so freaking long to reply.)

Checker eyed Red Rain warily. Frankly, he was more afraid of the indian's hands than the sword. After all, his hands had been what had almost killed him. Checker smiled at Red Rain. But he had won, hadn't he? He remembered sinking his knives into the man's head. It had felt so good...He was going to do it again. He needed to. He exploded out of existence, black smoke roiling in on itself, and reappeared about 3 feet from Red Rain, swinging both his knives toward the man's chest.

Red Rain smiles slightly as the man reappeared in front of him. How stupid could he be? If it had not been for the sword getting stuck before he would have won. Had he learned nothing? Red Rain does not bother to dodge or block the incoming blows. He instead begins to think of ways to make this idiot chessboy pay for having such arrogance.

Checker was surprised when Red Rain did nothing to block his attack. He sensed a trap, but it was too late for him if it was. The momentum of his swing carried him forward, and he sank his knives into the Indian's chest. He twisted them, trying to cause as much internal damage as possible before RR could retaliate.

The knives only sink in about an inch each. Red Rain grins as he grabs the Chess boy's arm. Idiot. He twists his body to throw the kid to the side. He laughs as he pulls the knives out and throws them to the guy's feet. "Want to try again, chess boy?"

Checker stood up slowly, picking up his knives. Well, silly me. He thought grimly. Here I was, thinking that knives hurt people. He stared at Red Rain, and his gaze slowly fell to the twin red marks that were slowly blossoming on his chest. He held up his knife and looked at it with a critical eye. His side throbbed, but it wasn't anything too bad. He held his head high and focused on the air behind Red Rain's back...

Red Rain smiles and lifts his sword up and sets it on his shoulder. He smiles confidently. He was surprised that the kid had tried such a direct approach. He was sure that he would try to appear above him or something. It would be easier to take him out quickly, but he was sure the other two Killers were still in the area. He would need to lure them out. He was ready for this fight. He would not be caught off guard like last time.
