The veil between the realm of magic and our world can be breached, but only at the start of the yearly cycle, and the start and end of the life cycle.

If a child is born at midnight, January 1st, they will breach the veil, and be given powers. These people are known as Aspects. And it happens more often that you might think.

At the time of birth, another is born in the Magic Realm. This person is to be their guardian, their protector. They are known as Consorts.

Each Aspect has a different set of powers:
-Life Flight can take away the life force of one and give it to another, including themselves and their consort.
-Copper Flight have the power to stop time, speed it up, slow it down, and time travel.
-Magik Flight use powerful blasts of mana against their enemies, and are the most common Flight.
-Scarlet Flight control fire and flames, eradicating all who stand in their way, and they themselves are fireproof.

Upon the moment when they first use their powers, they will be granted their wings through a process called Avasecion (Ava-say-sion). The wings of of Aspects are truly magnificent, and them of an enemy will sell for a great amount of money.
-Life Flight have on green wing, wrapped in thorny vines and roses, the other is black and dead, bones visible and skeletal. They represents their power over life and death.
-Copper Flight have clockwork wings, made of metal and intricate wires, tiny moving cogs and springs.
-Magik Flight have huge wings, mostly blue, but they have feathers at the bottom, which change colour with the Aspect's emotions. This change persists even through death.
-Scarlet Flight have large red wings, like that of a bat, that burn when the Aspect uses their powers. In the dark, the wings appear to be made of the embers from a winter fire.

Each Flight fights a war against the other three, while also holding back the Warlocks from the Magic Realm. But their numbers are dwindling, and they need heroes, powerful Aspects to save them, along with all mankind. Could one of these heroes be you?
