Kureha is a very soft-spoken, gentle but by no means shy girl. While naturally quiet she's very friendly and more than happy to join in with social activities and games, making her a likeable person. She's also unusually shameless, openly reading dirty magazines and more than once making comments others see as inappropriate, but it's all done in a very innocent manner; she genuinely doesn't see what the problem is with things like this. Since her break-up with Shizuma she has become more reserved and less confident, particularly with getting too close to people, though she does her best to keep a smile on her face. Her sudden bursts of creative inspiration do really come out of nowhere, making her very good at writing mysteries and finding solutions with few options available. The problem is that it can make her unpredictable as she rarely tells people what she's going to do, so teamwork can be a bit difficult to manage. She also struggles to use logic and basic problem solving, finding it very restrictive to work with (hence her weakness with subjects like maths and science). Her imagination is also a flaw as much as a talent, as she can let it get the better of her common sense, particularly when alone at night.

___ Kureha's speciality is improvisation. Her creative mind and interest in mysteries and crime stories allows her to approach every situation from many different angles, often coming up with solutions other peoples don't consider. This makes her good at adapting to what is presented to her, and has caused her to develop what her father often calls her 'poker-face'; a wide, almost sinister grin that hints she's got an idea, but never reveals what she's actually thinking (this grin can be quite a shock to people when they first see it, considering how it contrasts her personality and usually comes out of nowhere).

▇▇ HISTORY___
Kureha's childhood was fairly average, being an only child and living with her parents and grandfather above their book-store which developed her interest in creative writing and poetry at an early age. While never hugely popular she made friends easily enough, but it was when she started middle school that she first met Shizuma Yurei, starting the biggest change in her life. The two became fast friends and as time went on, eventually started a relationship that pushed all the way into high school. They seemed inseperable and utterly devoted to each other. Unfortunately Kureha's grades started to slip and she struggled to keep up with the other students. At first Shizuma was supportive, helping her study and keeping her spirits up; it actually seemed like she was going to get through this. But then the exams began and Kureha’s grades were at the lowest they could be, resulting in her move to 3-E. Her parents were disappointed in this and many of her old friends began berating and bullying her, but Kureha didn’t let it get to her, certain that she could get back into the main student body if she tried hard enough. It wasn’t until Shizuma stopped returning her texts and calls that she started to get concerned, not being able to see her until the next assembly where she confronted her girlfriend. At first Shizuma completely ignored her, but as Kureha pushed she finally told her that she couldn’t date some pathetic loser from 3-E. This sent Kureha into a crippling depression, her grades getting even worse while she retreated into herself, not responding to teachers, students, even her own parents. After some time she pulled herself out of it enough start studying properly again, even managing to make new friends in the class, but her confidence was utterly destroyed by Shizuma’s actions and so far she hasn’t been able to fully recover from the break-up.
