Description

Linde Xe' Almna

Image

Age: 21
Height: 5' 9"
Weight: 135 lbs
Voice Example: Linde

Basic Personality: Linde is a very kind and compassionate woman who, as a doctor, seeks only to heal and do right by others. Her love of life drives her every decision, and she would sooner cut both her hands off than allow them to be used for killing someone else. However, she does have an edge to her. As the daughter of a Cre' Itian general, she has been taught confidence, self discipline and self respect, and the mindset of a proud warrior. She will kick your ass, and tend to your wounds directly after no matter the circumstances. To date, Linde has only let one person die in her care... And it is a death that haunts her every day.

Basic Background: Linde was born as the daughter of a Cre' Itian general who taught her a warrior's discipline and pride, and a mother who was a doctor and taught her nurturing and kindness. Blending the best of both worlds, Linde became a doctor herself and a self-appointed protector of her community in the capitol city of Cre' Est. She earned the nickname the "Angelic Knight of Cre' Est" for her kindness and tenacity in combat whenever her community was threatened by bandits, rogues, thieves, or whoever. Linde's most famous feat was defeating a mercenary named Carnal, and after soundly defeating him took him to her clinic to tend to his wounds before sending him on his way. However, Linde has one bit of baggage hanging onto her... Which you'll learn about in the RP.

So begins...

Aetrius felt her face turn white as Linde grabbed her hand and removed the glove, begining to examine it. The look alone was enough to make Aetrius shake slightly, and become physically nervous. Her palms and forehead began to sweat slightly, as she looked at the exprwssion that was on Linde's face, or more so the expression her face lacked. It was clearly Linde's angry and pissed off look, and that was one of the few things that genguinely scared Aetrius. Usually nothing would scare the bounty hunter, but since she met Linde and understood how she was, she became one of her genuine fears.

As Linde pulled her along Aetrius she looked down and away from the look on Linde's face. As Linde prepared her tools, Aetrius felt her face flush white. She awkwardly sat there on the bed with her legs crossed and visibly uncomfortable. She knew the best and only way to try and calm Linde down was to tell the truth and so she would. Aetrius took a deep breath and sighed, "The day I came back with Rose is when it happened...I never had the time to properly tend to it, as we wer constantly on the move or were planning... I'm sorry, Linde. I know I should have told you, and I didn't...I-I'm sorry.." she stutterd out as she looked up at Linde and looked back down after her brief glance up at Linde.

Linde had been preparing her tools and washing her hands as Aetrius told her how she acquired the wound. She heard the sincerity in her voice and the regret for not speaking up. However, she didn't say a word in response.

When she finished washing her hands she put on some new gloves and sat down beside Aetrius to begin working.

"Hold still, please. This will hurt a little." She said softly.

She pulled up with a scalpel blade and carefully created an incision in the wound at the top side of the hand between the thumb and index fingers, taking care not to strike any veins. And immediately the incision began leaking puss as Linde slowly massaged the wound to coax the buildup out one rub at a time.

"This could have been worse, but you let it go for too long. All of the hours we spent resting and sleeping was time I could have used to tend this wound Aetrius." She said quietly.

She continued massaging the wound to coax the puss and excess buildup of blood and other fluids out of the incision as it dripped to the floor onto a small mat she'd set up before hand.

"You acknowledged you should have told me, and I'm grateful for that. But... Why didn't you tell me? Really?" She asked softly, tears beginning to well in her eyes.

Aetrius sighed and remained still and silent as Linde woeked on her hand. She almost didn't even feel anything as Linde cut into her hand and worked o the wound, it only felt like a small pin prick in her hand, no more no less. But as Linde talked her heart dropped a little, she could tell Linde was upset, but she was more sad and concerned more so than angry.

"You had so much to focus on at the time...Didn't want to over burden you or make you morw concerned for me than you normally are...I'm sorry, honestly...I'm sorry..." she said softly as she looked back up at Linde, and saw the tears in her eyes, and with her left hand she gently wiped the slowly building up tears away.

Linde gently pushed against Aetri's hand with her cheek.

"You're always reckless. Eager to jump ahead without a thought for yourself. While I admire and love that about you, at the same time it..."

Her first tear fell despite Aetri's attempts to stop it.

"That's more a source for pain and worry than tending to your wounds could ever be." She whispered, her voice hitching on a sniffle.

"At least... At least like this I can be sure you're getting treated. But if you hide it from me I can't-"

She started sobbing and sniffling, gasping for breath between each. She stopped massaging Aetri's wounded had and rested it on her knee as she hunched forward and cried. Her tears falling between her legs and to the floor in soft little pitter patter droplets.

"Don't hide it again, Aetrius... Promise me... Never again."

She tried using her thumbs to pitifully massage her wounded hand, continuing her duty, but with little to no energy to speak of as her shoulders hopped up and down with each sob.

Aetrius gently held Linde's hand with her left hand, which was perfectly fine except for the burn scarrs on each hand, keeping her rig hand which was the infected hand at a distance. She gently wiped Linde's tears, trying to help comfort her the best she could as she was always the source of Linde sadness and crying. She gently kissed Linde's forehead and nodded, "I promose...I'll be more carful and honest...But now, I can take over my hand from here." she said as she stoo d up ans walked to the sink to help clean out her right hand and finished up getting the rest of the infection out as she let Linde calm down.

Aetrius walked over to the fire place and lit it, making sure it was stoked properly and was heating up the room enough. She pulled out a knife and sat down infront of the fire, and with her left hand she held the knife over the fire until it began to heat up enough and began to glow a light orange and white, once it was enough she brought the knife to the infected hqnd and prwssed it against the now raw and freshly cut wound. A groan came from her lips as she felt the pain shoot through the inner parts of her hands as the wound began to cortarize. This one something she was all but too used of hving to do, and once she was sure it was done, she put the knife down and stood back up, and got some of the gel Linde had always used for her and spread it across the freshly closed wound and wrapped it up with clean cloth. Aetrius then dug through her bag of supplies and took out some smelling oils to help with the smel in the room, seeing as how it currently smelf of burnt flesh.

Aetrius looked back at Linde, and outstretched her left hand to Linde and gave her a kind smile, "I...I want to show you something, Linde...If you wish that is.." she said softly as she'd understand if Linde wasn't up for going somewhere with her at the current time.

As Aetri took over her hand, Linde removed her gloves and threw them away to wash her hands once again. As she looked over and saw Aetrius cauterizing the wound she flinched slightly. That would burn like no other for anyone else. But Aetri's burned and healed flesh made it no surprise to Linde that she reacted to passively to the pain. Linde finished washing her hands and went to sit down again, waiting for Aetrius as she came back and offered to show her something.

Taking Aetri's hand, she offered a weak smile.

"Or course." She whispered.

Aetrius smiled and gently helped Linde to her feet and they walked out onto the balcony of the room, and Aetrius sat down. She sighed softly and looked up at the night sky, stars wer eveeywhere and the weather was just slightly cold, but not too cold. The young bounty hunter silently gazed up at the sky, and closed her eyes, the night air reminding her of nights in Saharan. "It was just like this when I left Saharan...Not too cold nor warm. Stars burning brightly eveey way you would look. I miss home sometimes...But...I don't plan on going back anytime soon. Not now anyway.." she said as she gave a slight chuckle and looked back at Linde, then back to the night sky.

"I never really have told you much about me, have I? I grew up in a small, close knit merchant clan in Saharan. "Borral's Wares" as my father liked to call it. he was a good man, not what you'd expect from someone of his stature and appearene. Mom said we got dad's looks, but her attitude. " Aetrius said with a chuckle yet again. She slowly began to remember moments from her childhood and smiled, "Me and Kieran are half sisters. I never knew who Kieran's mother was. She died in childbirth, and well...Let's just say some people in Saharan aren't very fond of my..kind" Aetrius said as she looked back down and sighed softly.

Linde sat down beside Aetrius and put a hand on Aetrius' good hand, watching the sky with her and smiling as she told her story. And when she spoke about her "kind," Linde tilted her head ever so slightly.

"You kind?" She whispered, gripping Aetri's hand a bit tighter.

A soft sigh escaped her lips when Linde asked what she meant by her kind. "See...I may bare the Borral emblem..." she said as Aetrius rolled her sleeve up and showed Linde the tattoo again. It being the clan's emblem, as every member that would pass down the Borral name would pass down the emblem to the next child. As Kieran didn't want to be the one, Aetrius said she would carry the name herself, therefore earning her the tattoo on her arm. "But...Not everyone sees me as that...I was born before my parents were married, and in Saharan a child that is concieved before one is married, that child is then given the name "Laua". And as such, they tend to be seen as outcasts...Before a child is even born or even given a chance, their worth is determined by law and tradition...So..That's what I mean whenever I say my kind..I was judged before I even got to prove myself. But maybe they wer right, seeing what I became anyway.. " Aetrius said softly and with a sigh.

Linde nodded quietly.

"I see."

She gently squeezed Aetri's hand.

"The circumstances of your birth are beyond your control, my love. I will never judge you, or anyone else, for such a thing."

She chuckled.

"Just look at Kyero. He was born to be sacrificed to the Demon which occupies his body, but by some stroke of luck he survived and became who he is today."

She looked at Aetrius and leaned over to kiss her cheek and wrapped her arm around Aetri's waist to lean against her.

"Don't let the world define you." She whispered.

Aetrius felt her face grow warm as Linde spoke, she hadn't heard someone say those words to her after her mother had been killed when their village was attacked and both her mother and father were both killed that night. She nodded silently as Linde spoke, remaining silent and still all the while. She smiled at her words and gave Linde another smile, gently squeezing her hand in return.

Aetrius looked back out at the night sky, and silently lifted up a prayer to Heresta. If she really did exist or even bothered listening to someone like her. Thank you for sending me Linde..I...I don't know what I'd do without her... she tought to herself, eopening up her eyes again. She turned back to Linde and gently cupped her cheek with her left hand, and after a few moments of pure silence she leaned forwards and gently kissed Linde, it lasted only a few short moments but for Aetrius it felt like a lifetime. Something about Linde made her feel a certain way, and slowly her amber colored eyes filled with tears. A small smile was on her face as she looked back up at the night sky and softly spoke, "Th-thank you, Linde...For being the first person in the past few years to ever make me feel this way...When I'm with you...I never feel angry...Just, just happy...I don't think anything will ever change that..." Aetrius said with a soft and genuine voice, a blush covering her cheeks as she realized she had just confessed for the first time how Linde made her feel, hopefully she wouldn't laugh at her for it.

Linde smiled warmly and relaxed into Aetri's kiss. Brief as it was, it was warm and Linde held tight to Aetri's waist and hand to make sure she didn't go anywhere throughout. And as the parted, Linde's eyelids became heavier and she made a "Hmmm" sound.

"I feel the same, Aetrius." She whispered.

Linde then gently tugged at Aetri's waist again and pulled her into a much longer kiss. And with each passing second, Linde's face grew pinker and pinker. A tiny, hushed moan escaped her lips and her hand on Aetri's waist gripped the fabric of her clothing. She had no intention of so much as twitching, lest it ruin the beautiful moment they were sharing. Aetri could have a sharp tongue, but her lips were so soft and sweet that Linde couldn't help but melt into them.

And so they remained motionless for a long time, lips locked, and entirely enraptured and engrossed in nothing but each other. And as their lips finally *did* part, Linde's smile could make a star go blind as she leaned against Aetrius, tightening her grip on her hand, and resting her head on her shoulder.

"Stay with me, Aetrius." She whispered.

Aetrius smiled as Linde had said she felt the same and couldn't help when her face turned a light pink as she heard those words. She hadn't had someone genuinly care about hee like this in a very long time, and she was constantly scared that her more abrasive and rougher side could make Linde leave her at any moment, and that is what she truly feared. She wouldn't force Linde to stay with her, she had her own free will and if Linde wanted to leave, Aetrius would let her even though it would absolutely devistate her. As she sat there she smiled and was content as she held Linde's hand, but the last she expected Linde to do was kiss her like she did.

Her heart began to race, being able to feel it in her chest like a mighty war drum she swore that Linde could most likely hear it beating away in her chest. She didn't understand what about Linde made her feel nor even act like this, but maybe it wasn't something for her to understand. The young bounty hunter was only able to sit there and engage in the kiss with her lover, as her body was tense and frozen in place was the unexpected kiss. Holy Heresta! If she doesn't give me a break, I'm going to lose my mind and will to hold back... she thought, but eventually Linde did give up the kiss, but she held onto Aetrius the same and rwsted her head on her shoulder. Aetrius was only able to sit there, eyes wide as saucers, mouth slightly ajar and her cheeks were flushed with a bright pink color as she looked out at the night sky. She nodded as Linde spoke, and was only able to mumble out something along the lines of, "Of course, Linde" in her currently shocked state.

Linde smiled and nuzzles Aetri's shoulder for a moment following her affirmation that she'd stay with her. And here, on the balcony, Linde felt a soft breeze touch her face as the moon shone down from above. All of this tickled something inside her, and she looked up at Aetrius with a deep yearning in her eyes.

Slowly her arm around Aetri's waist slid up to wrap around her neck, and her fingers curled around the muscles on the far side to prevent her from moving away. She began leaning up turning her head slightly to the side.

"My love," she whispered.

Linde's lips parted, and regardless of what Aetri did to struggle Linde held her there and gently locked their lips together once again. She held firm and still, but ever so gently used the tip of her tongue to caress Aetri's lower lip. The hand holding Aetri's rose up slowly, flattening against Aetri's stomach and sliding up along her chest to wrap around her neck over the other as Linde pulled herself up and slowly lifted her leg across Aetri's to sit on her lap. Keeping their lips locked, Linde's fingers caressed and tangled themselves in Aetri's hair.

And between her kisses, Linde managed to whisper, "Let us not waste this night." And following that Linde gently eased forward pressing her chest to Aetri's and wrapping her arms all the way round until her fingers locked around her own elbows... Aetri wasn't going anywhere.

Aetrius smiled as Linde had cuddled up to her and laid her head on her shoulder, which only caused her to smile more and cuddle back, gently locking her left arm with Linde's right arm. But as she was looking out at the night sky, she felt Linde adjust herself a little and looked from the corner of her eye to see Linde only get closer and give her a cerain look in her eyes. Aetrius eyes grew only wider and her face flushed more as Linde had pulled her closer and closer, resulting in a small yelp to come from her, which caused to her to cover hee mouth with her hand for a moment until Linde grabbed her by the waist and got even loser to her. Aetius' mind began to go wild, as well as her heart which she was sure that Linde could now for certain hear and even feel her heart beating, almost bursting out of her chest.

She was only able to sit there as Linde eventually sat on her lap, tangled her hands in her hair and held her close and began yet again another passionate kiss. Aetrius' face lit up yet again, as well as her body tensing up as she hadn't expected this endevour to take place. The usually calm, cool, collected and always thinking bounty hunter was now a squishy, melted, blob with her mind racing every which way. Not a single, comprehwnsive thought was inside her head other than, This is it. This is where I die today... as Linde had engaged in the kiss. They had only ever shard one other kiss like this before, which was all the way back in Veilbrand when she had told Linde about some of her feelings, but not like this. All she was able to do was sit there and accept the affection from Linde, which she was slowly starting to lose hee resolve and cool headedness and only act on emotions as she returned the kiss, feeling herself slowly lose control of herself and actions.

Linde's kissing with Aetrius intensified as Linde's hands traveled through her hair, around her neck, over her shoulders, and back again before gently taking hold of Aetri's hands and guiding them to wrap around Linde's waist. Due to her slow loss of control, Aetrius simply melted into the action and embraced it as her own holding Linde close. Never breaking the connection between their lips, Linde stood and pulled Aetri with her back inside the room, shutting the door to the balcony with her foot before the candles blew out engulfing the room in darkness...

Lonán widened his eyes as Linde began to react to Aetrius Having an infected wound. He decided to simply retire as well as he began to inch his way to his room and by the time he made it there, heaved a big sigh. There was a lot on his mind and he decided to do a meditation of communication to see if Heresta or any of his Ancestors would give him guidance and insight to his troubles. He took off his tunic and sat in the meditative position. He then lit the incense and began to take a deep breath, breathing in through his nose, and exhaled through his mouth. Slowly, he felt himself drift into his meditative state.

———

He found himself on top of the sand dunes of his dreams, as he looked around before standing up and tying his hair in a tail and making his way down the dune. He then began to speak. ”If Heresta or my Ancestors hear me, please. I need your wisdom for the path ahead of me. For I see a fork in it.” He stopped walking as he looked at a dust devil that seemed miles away. ”There is a woman. A Triveilan noblewoman, who is to be the next princess. She has unknowingly captured my heart. The problem is if she does choose to be Princess, I don’t know if I should stay with her, or continue my journey with my friends. I don’t know which is the right choice as I don’t know what either choice could mean! I may be scared of failing my clan, failing my friends and myself. Possibly the occasional snake, But above all else, I’m scared now because I don’t know! The Unknown terrifies me! I can’t see where each path leads! So please! Help me! Somebody! Anybody.” he slowly sank to his knees as his shouts turned to a silent humble whisper, his face tear stricken with confliction written all over it.

”Help...” he whispered with a choked sob. He bowed his head to the sands. Then he felt someone pulling him to a sitting position and pulling him into an embrace from behind.

“Oh my Lonán, Flesh of My Flesh, Son of my Sons, I hear you.” A soft female voice answered. “From Heresta’s Halls I’ve watched you as you’ve grown in strength and potential. Yes you indeed have many branches on this fork in your path. But regardless of which you choose, you shall plant the seeds of the Arzura clan’s future. Wake up now, and prepare for the many battles ahead. Remember, Ceres, wife of Kalandros, loves you my Descendant.”

———

Lonán snapped open his eyes, and touched his face, finding them tear streaked as he wiped any leftover tears away. ”Not a very enlightening answer. But I suppose I’ll take what I can get, hopefully I come to an answer soon.” He said as he checked the window and felt the sun stab his eyes. ”MORNING?! I fell asleep meditating again! Heresta’s Breath!”

The next morning came by quickly as the sunlight pierced through the inn's room window and cast it light onto the bed next to the wall. The light glinted against armor that shone into the face of one of the sleeping occupants, who only groaned and covered her face with one of the blankets. But after a few moments, Aetrius stirred awake as she remembered what day it was, and what the plans were, she quickly scrambled out of the bed and got dressed into her set of light armor and threw on her black cloak, but as she was assembling her gear, she froze. Memories of the prior night came back floodong into her mind and she felt her face flush with an immense blush. Shit...That....Fuck..It did...didn't it.. she thought to herself as she looked at Linde who was fast asleep in the bed.

She couldn't help as a small smile did crease her lips, and she gently planted a kiss on Linde's forehead and coverd her with the blankets. With her swords and gear ready, she easily slipped out of the room and headed into the inn's dining hall and sat down at one of rhe tables, she ordered some food and waited for the others to join her, which she hoped was soon. Thankfully when her food arrived Kieran joined her at the table and the two conversed and began eating while waiting for the others to join them as they'd discuss their plans once more before they put it into action.

After Aetrius, Kieran, Lolan, Josephine, and Rose had breakfast, Aetius prepared to meet up with Kyero for the plan. As she made her way to Kyero with Kieran she thought, Is..Is Linde okay..? I hope I didn't...oh Heresta's Breast what did I do... she mumbled to herself and exited the inn. Shortly after she found Kyero, "So, what's the plan? " she questioned as she crossed her arms and awaited the plans.

Lonán made his way down the steps for breakfast, trying his best to hide the conflict that was written in his mind. He couldn’t shake what had occurred as he was meditating. ”’The Seeds of the Clan’s future?’ What did Ceres mean? I mean, sure the She Wolf of Heresta was known to have a level head even in combat, but was the encounter in my dreamscape real, or just in my head?” He thought as he ate his breakfast. He knew his part in the plan. Help Linde clear a path once they had Miils, then escort Josephine to the place where she’d assume responsibility as Princess.

Princess. There’s the rub, if he wanted to win her heart if she stayed, he faced a terrible decision. But what in blazes did his Ancestor mean by he’d make an impact on the clan regardless of which path to choose? Was it some sort of Test made by Heresta? He couldn’t know.

”Backtracking to the Plan however, Where’s Linde?” He mused. ”Is she sleeping in?” If that was the case, only Heresta, and probably Aetrius knows why.

Come the morning, it was time.

The promised day had arrived, and today was a day for precise execution of a carefully calculated plan to rid Triveila of a traitor. The death of the former Queen struck the entire nation as a devastating loss, but none were affected as much as the Queen's longtime friend and future successor, Josephine Dezantro.

Speaking of Lady Dezantro, she was pacing in the room with her hands behind her back. Her role was to remain safe and out of the way so that the others could execute the plan. One new arrival, however, an old acquaintance of hers, Johan Persh, decided to accompany Kieran, Aetri, and Kyero. Linde had since awoken and was paired with Lonan at a location not far from the intended location of where Kieran was to guide Miils. A one-way dead-end alleyway where they could easily trap him and bring him back.

Josephine paced nervously as another arrival, longtime ally Bronsen Furth, arrived to protect and keep her company. Her allies and friends were slowly revealing themselves to the group, making their locations and purpose known. Subtly, but surely.

And thus the waiting game for Josephine began. Aetri and Kyero were in position, ready to begin. It was up to Kieran now to get them rolling when Miils stepped out from his home.

Borathian Miils meandered casually through the streets of Triveila with Kieran close behind. He greeted people he met along the way kindly, giving them a bow or a nod of his head and a few kind words. A very smooth talker. Eventually, he sat down at a chair at an outdoor restaurant and ordered a meal and a drink, and pulled out a journal and began jotting down a few notes.

"The time is upon me. It's now not but a simple matter of ensuring the final pieces fall into place. When they do, I will ascend the throne at long last replacing the noble's bastard child as the rightful ruler of this land. At last my destiny shall be fulfilled come the fading light of day. And as the sun rises upon the morrow, I will be Triveila's new King."

Time ticked by far too slowly. And for Linde, it couldn't be any more aggravating.

"They should have come through by now." She said quietly to herself.

Linde toyed with a lock of her hair to calm her nerves, glancing back to Lonan.

"You haven't seen them yet, have you?"

Lonán paced several times. He was getting nervous himself. He knew not what took them so long. The crisis he suffered last night made him nervous, and now, the plan probably took off in a different direction, to the point Linde Asked him if he saw them yet.

”No, not yet. Something’s wrong, I can feel it in my bones.” He said shifting his shoulders, testing how his sore one was feeling. If it came down to a fight he hoped that one was healed enough for him to use his sword properly if he had to use it. ”This is going to be a bad day.”

Linde kept watch on Lonan, noting his shoulder test.

"If anything happens, let me deal with it first. That shoulder needs rest. If you tear those stitches or cause further damage, I might not be able to fix you later." She warned.

Lonán sighed. ”I know... I’m just antsy today Linde, and very worried. About a lot of things.” He said, acknowledging her words. ”Alright, I’ll follow your lead on this one then.” he took a moment to take a deep breath and look up at the skies.

It may be a bad day, but at least the sky was still picturesque in his mind. His gaze shifted to the rooftops, just to see if anything was out there.

Linde nodded.

"Let's just keep our eyes open for now."

Time passed, and before long Linde knew something was up. And, almost on cue, Kyero and Aetrius appeared on the rooftops just the next street over.

"Dammit. Kieran must not have been able to woo him. He's on foot. That means it's time for plan B. Let's go. We need to make sure Aetrius and Kyero can take him without anyone seeing!"

”Right!” he replied as he prepared to follow Linde’s lead for the now potential chase. Now wasn’t the time to think about his worries. He had to focus on the task at hand and how to fight without aggravating his wound. Damn that Former Te’i Sai!

So with task in hand he followed Her lead. ”Heresta, bless us for Victory in this our hour of need and ask you to witness us.” He Mentally prayed.

Linde led him through the crowded streets to the next street over which, thankfully, was far less populated. Together, they set about keeping track of where Kyero and Aetrius were and tailing the man they seemed to be following. It had to be Miils.

Keeping her eye on Kyero, she waited for the signal, a flick under his chin, that the coast ahead was clear to shove him into an alleyway for Kyero and Aetrius to capture him by force. And finally the moment arrived. Kyero flicked his chin indicating ahead was clear, and Linde turned to nod to Lonan to help keep anyone off her back while she shoved him into the alley just ahead. His job would be damage control, keeping prying eyes away from anyone who happened to see the shove.

And, as luck would have it, one woman did see Linde shove him into the alley and began walking over to investigate.

Lonán saw the woman approaching. He had to think on his toes quickly in order to get her to leave the area. But if he said the wrong thing, the plan would be ruined. He had to think up a lie and think it up quick! He approached the woman and simply said, ”Excuse me, I’ve seemed to have lost my way. Do you know which way the Inn I’m staying at is?” He asked, acting like a simple tourist, a fresh mercenary face looking for a job that got turned around. Hopefully that would distract her long enough for the others to snatch Miils and get out of that alleyway.

As Kieran returned to the Inn, she was met with unpleasant news. Upon entering the room, both Josephine and Bronsen Furth, the ally with her, had disappeared. In their place was someone new and unfamiliar sitting in a chair with one leg crossed over the other and his fingers interlaced.

"Greetings. Did you come for the traitor?" He asked.

Meanwhile, back with Kyero and the others...

As soon as Miils was tossed into the alley by Linde he leaped down from the rooftops and landed behind him as he regained his footing. Grabbing him by the neck and hoisting him up off the ground, he held him loose like a rag doll until...

"HahahaHAHAHAHA!!!"

He was laughing.

"Wonderful, everyone! Just wonderful!" He said, clapping for their efforts.

Kyero dropped him, and he dusted himself off and cracked his neck.

"You seem-" He said, turning around. But he was cut off upon seeing Kyero's glowing red eyes and staggered a step back. "Y-you! What are you-" Kyero interrupted by grabbing his throat and pulling him in close, nose to nose.

"My presence is not your concern... Only that my blade is in your stomach."

Glancing down, Kyero's orichalcum blade was indeed embedded in his stomach to a small degree. He'd slit his flesh and slid the blade inside without triggering any nerves... He wasn't as good as the legends said... He was better. Blood dripped into his clothing and he swallowed a lump before smiling again.

"So the traitor has friends in low places. I see. Well, you may wish to let go and remove the blade from my flesh if you want her to live." He growled.

Kyero wasn't risking it. He removed the dagger and let go of him, causing him to cough his lungs free and straighten himself out.

"Much better. At least the Demon has some common sense. Now, to business?" He asked pleasantly.

Kyero's eyes narrowed.

After Kieran had gotten enough out of sight of Miils, she made a mad dash back for the inn, dodging and weaving between pedestrians and shopkeeps until she made it back to the inn. She pand heavily as she walked into the door and stopped when she entered the room and saw no one, at least not anyone she knew until she saw the man in the chair. She calmed herself down and looked at him with questioning eyes, keeoin her guard up if anyone tried tackling her from out of sight.

She crossed her arms and looked at him, "And who might that be? I don't have a clue what or who you're refering to." she said casually as she looked at him with glaring eyes.

"Come now. We've been keeping an eye on the traitor since she arrived. Our spies are everywhere."

He stood from the chair, keeping his hands clasped in front of his chest.

"Nevertheless, I'll ask a different question... Did you really think she'd be able to return without getting herself caught? Sir Miils owns the guardsmen of this city, you know. And word travels faster than the horse these days. He's known she was coming ever since she crossed the border."

He began pacing like a patient gentleman.

"So then, what's your role in all this, hmm?" He asked, glaring at her out of the corner of his eye.

Kieran eyed him as he spoke and listened to each and every word carefully. She examined the way he stood and carried himself, seemed to only be more so brains than brawn. She chuckled and shook her head, "So what he said was true...Loyalty can be bought so easily. Pity, really. As for the traitor, it's only funny that you're the one working for the very traitor you've been searching for." she said as she gave him another chuckle and sigh.

kieran looked at him with anger in her eyes, "As for my role, I have none. My role is over and I have no more part in this matter. So, just go and I'll act like I never saw you." she said as she walked passed him and gave him another sharp glare.

Keeping his eyes on Kieran, the man smiled.

"You may or may not live to regret that decision, miss... The traitor is being transferred to a secure facility near the Southwestern border, and heavily sedated. We know her warrior status. If you wish to save her, you'd better gather your friends and start moving now. Or you may never find her."

With that he began makin his way towards the exit, but paused as he opened the door.

"Oh, and did she not tell you?"

He glanced over his shoulder to Kieran.

"If she doesn't officially take the title of Princess within the next four days, she forfeits the rights to Sir Miils who shall become the next King. Good day."

And he was gone.

Kieran glared at him all the while the man spoke, her eyes never losing her sharp glare that she held on the man. She watched as he began to walk away, "I know when I'm being threatened...But I can assure you..She'll be just fine.." she said with a sharp tongue as the man disapeared. Once he was gine Kieran sighed and rubbed her temples. " I need a drink... " she mumbled to herself as she left for the bar in the inn.

Meanwhile..

Aetrius watched as Kyero got a hold on Miils and even slightly injured him. Once Kyero had done his part, Aetrius walked up to Miils and glared down at him, "We have a doctor with us...and I don't think she'd even want to hwlp your bastard ass..." she said with a growl as she looked at Linde for a slight moment and then back at Miils. " Regardless..You've lost, Miils." she said as she grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and swiftly smashed his face into her leg, knocking him unconsious.

With that the group swiftly left and eventually made it back to the inn, bringing Miils into the room and tying him to chair, leaving Kyero to guard him. "I'll go see if Josephine is with Kieran...Wherever she is." she said as she began to turn and leave, with a slight pit in her stomach as she began to have a bad feeling in her gut.

Back at the inn, everyone entered to find Kieran and Josephine missing. Miils was tied to a chair and Kyero stood before him with not a dagger, but a wooden spoon in his hand with everyone else either sitting outside the room if they didn't want to see what was going to happen, or standing behind him.

Kyero slapped Miils in the face, waking him up. He struggled at first to free himself, but soon accepted his situation.

"I have to give you credit for taking me captive... Seems you seek to harbor and aid the traitor, don't you?"
