He pats his stomach to some kind of mismatched beat, something he can't realize because his Ipod's headphones are at full blast, with some type of intelligible mash between rock music, and someone struggling to sing over the over-saturated instrumental, typical for singers whose vocal ability was weak. He noted this in his head, as his shirtless body turned over in his mattress to stare at the door for a few minutes. He was scrutinizing the sunlight from the window, to determine if he should get up just yet. He would do that when he lived back in the swaps in Louisiana, there were no Ipods, no alarm clocks, you had to awaken yourself naturally. His arms folded underneath the weight of his head, and he sighed out a breath, which moved a piece of dark hair form his face. "Yep. It's just about that time." he thought to himself as he slowly raised himself up from the mattress, shaking his wet hair in front his face, and chuckling to himself as his headphones were forcibly pulled out from the movement. He was so used to his mother doing that whenever he attempted to drown her voice out with music, that he swore that his ears were carved and numb to the airy sting. Another slow intake of breath and he was off the bed, stretching his sore muscles from all the luggage he had to carry to dorms last night, not his own, but other people who needed help and just happened to arrive in the dead of night. It was surreal getting that invitation, thinking that he'd have to conceal his powers from his family, but like any family, they could tell something was going on with little ol Zhayne, but they couldn't tell just what. He would have rather kept these thing a secret, where he lived being different was a sign for people to either ignore you or berate you, but when you were family, why people would treat you with the kindest hospitality you could find. Invite you to cookouts, graduations, trips. Hell, his father even had a chance to borrow a car from one his mates. That community was tight-knit, when they sensed Zhayne was hiding something, it would take only months for him to spit it out, at least to his immediate family, the neighbors were given the run around about how he was sick from some bayou fever. Some hogshit like that.

The young man journeyed to the single bathroom next door, bringing some fresh clothes, and a towel with him. This would be the first day of school, and he could rely on his sense to tell that nobody knew what to expect. The teachers all seemed maybe a decade older or even younger than the students themselves, which was slightly strange, but as long as they weren't his age, he was fine with that. He had to wonder if anyone else had powers like him, and if they neglected to tell their families until they were invited. He could remember the night of the Eclipse as being very surreal, and euphoric, in that one moment it seemed like the stars, the universe, this planet, and his body and mind, were at one. That sounded a little bit too emotional for someone like Zhayne, but it was the only way he could describe it, his power awakening, his mind opening. He wondered how other students felt about that pivotal moment. He grabbed a small bottle of shampoo off the rack in front of him, and saturated his hair in the goo, feeling it between his fingers and then rubbing it into the locks of his hair. He scrubbed a little vigorously, and let the steamy water of the shower beat down on his chest and his back. It felt a lot better than the malfunctioning pipes at his own home, one minute it's hot, and then next minute, it'd be cold, and stay cold, if were lucky you could feel a sliver of heat pass by, and miss it like a shooting star. He shook his hair about as he turned off the faucet, grabbed his towel and dried himself. He dried himself with some mixture of lazy effort, his body was still slightly moisturized as he pulled on a tight, short sleeved, black T-shirt, and loose, black denim jeans, along with some boxers underneath. Both were a little difficult to put in with all the liquid still dripping down his body. He flipped his hair back out in front of his face, as he peered into the slightly foggy mirror in front of him. He murmured in his Cajun accent as he moved his face left and right in front of the mirror, and scratched at the stubby growth beneath his chin. "Not lookin' bad Spencer. Not at all." He flashed his pearly whites at the mirror, and grasped the toothpaste a little ways ahead of him, along with the toothbrush, and started the quotidian routine of brushing his teeth. Too many of his relatives suffered from dental diseases, seeing as how the dentist wasn't nearly as important to his family members as the Doctor, his older relatives often ignored dental hygiene, and for the sake of others, and the fact that he was always wary of his grandparents kissing him when he was younger. He pledged to brush his teeth as often as he could, he wasn't crazy about it, just slightly paranoid whenever he didn't do it. Didn't want any of his offspring (if he decides to have any) thinking such things about him, then following the example. No, the oral health abuse would stop at him.

After the dental check up was done, he walked back into his bedroom, and grasped the practically empty bookbag, leaning against the bed post and slung it over his shoulder. He then took his schedule off the top of the desk, and took note of the first class. "Seamus Marks Richardson. A-232" he murmured to himself as he walked out his room, and into the boys dorm hallway. He walked past what seemed like practically empty hallways with the exception of a few students wandering about, it occurred to him that he may have woken up too early for any socializing, though that didn't particularly hurt him in any way. It was better to get a grasp of where he was going, and where he needed to be. He would walk around until he got to the main hall, and smelled food, his stomach growled, and his nose would lead him to the cafeteria, he would eat light with a bit of toast spread on jam, orange juice, graham crackers, and an apple as a side dish. He yawned at the food in boredom, he hoped they were serving this type of stuff at lunch, his tastes were rather...eccentric to say the least. He took a large bite out of the toast, and drank some orange juice after swallowing. While chewing, he figured that maybe it would be a little too late for him to make it to calls so fast, and decided to chew a little earnestly. "The day's just started fool...relax" he noted to himself. He finally looked at his Ipod and noticed that it was only 7:23pm, he could take as much time as he needed. Class would begin at 8:30, for him and rest of the students who would attend Mr.Richardson's class, though time would only tell what he would do during the wait.

The blonde from the pink is getting too hard to differentiate from at this point when she looks into the mirror, she would call it a vanilla strawberry mix, and she learned to love it. She thought it made her look a little unique, but then quickly realized that anyone could feel that way, she wasn't much different from the young adults prowling around. Anyways, she was doing some type of unusual ritual to her hair, the whole thing was curled into a circular cone of some kind of the top of her head, she was trying to position the curling iron in such a way that it wouldn't burn her scalp, then, suddenly, like a dumbass she grasped the heated metallic part of the iron while trying to grab a bobby pin, thereby sending the iron flying across the room in frustration, and then yelling out obscenities into the silence of her room. She accidentally yanked her lamp off the drawer along with the iron which were connected to extension cords. She looked around with a frustrated expression at the mess, and then at the mirror, smirking at her inventiveness. It was almost exactly as she imagined, and she patted the sides of it with her hand, smiling and twirling around in joyous madness, oh she liked where this went. She looked at her phone on the dresser for a moment after her littler personal victory, and noticed that it was 7:42. She wanted to get out there and make some accomplices, along with learn which classes she would definitely be skipping. She grasped her sack off the dresser, which made a plethora of other items fall, but Rae did not dare turn, or care. She simply waltzed her out of the room, taking only a quick peek back at the weirdly configured hair style and turning into the hallway. There she was met with some students giving others directions, as if they even knew the layout of the castle, no one had been here long enough to memorize the whole place, though she had to remember there were Gemini's here like her, if she wanted, and if she gave the effort, she could easily recall the hallways like the back pf her hand. She had to give it to the architects though, the place was immense.

She made it to the Main Hall, and was apparently able to remember how she made her way to her room from there, she even remembered looking around, and spotting a few places of note, a cafeteria she would know because of the chairs, and it's unorthodox layout to any room, board, or classroom. She would make her way there figuring that this was the place where students would most likely be until the time came to pass for homeroom classes. She took a few items on a tray, and then looked out to the lunch tables which were filling up quickly, she spotted a few people she could recognize from last night particularly that of Zhayne, who she recalled helping her with her luggage when she least expected help, he seemed like naturally joyous company to have, sociable, friendly. She could makes amends with that. she almost ignored the urge to sit next to him, which was unusual, but she wasn't sure she wanted to sit net to him. Against her wishes, she did anyway, shoving her plate down on the table. Zhayne stared up at the girl as he took a bite out of his apple.

"Can I help ya-oh! You're that girl from last night."

"Yeah, It's Rae...mind if I sit next to you."

'Sure, an empty seat never did me any good."

She scrutinized the young male for a second, then sat next to him. She started to attack her grapefruit with a spoon, scooping out the slices. She never liked the taste, but figured if she kept eating it, maybe it's become an acquired taste. Meanwhile, Zhayne peered curiously at her hair, without seeming guilty of staring. Rae seemed like someone who wouldn't have appreciated that.

A cup of coffee in front of his face, and a bit of nervous jitter in his body, It had been a long time since he was given supervision over the Academy, he never expected such a thing to happen again, it wasn't supposed to happen.. he was told, at least not this early. There was only so much he could ask, and so many answers that he could be given at one time. Still, many things did not make sense to the wizened man. He took another sip of caffeine, he expected his colleagues to be here in the next few minutes as he was expecting them to be confused about being called so abruptly in the middle of their lives. What the students wouldn't know was that the teachers were once students here as well, graduating, and then slowly losing their powers over the years, only for them to make a resurgence at the apex of this new Eclipse. Seamus was sleeping when this was happening, awakened when he saw his bedroom darken considerably, and forced back into this life. It wasn't as of he hated being here per say, he was simply nervous, he hoped his own training would live up to what he'd need to teach these new students. They had no idea what they face, and he could feel something abrew, it was all he could speculate, until he knew more there was nothing else he could do.

Raffy Furier

Serafina definitely hated first days. Who didn't though? If you didn't include those awkward freaks that didn't have a life and were oh so excited to get back to school and see their friends again, no one liked first days of school. They were boring, almost always. And there was always that one weird teacher that tried to make it fun by acting like they were one of them, or trying to pull some sort of prank or something, and really it just made it awkward for everyone else. Though she supposed it might be different here, it had to be different here. Besides, she had first period History, and though she probably knew the curriculum already... at least Mr. Blackwater would be there. He was a cool teacher, she had decided, not in the way that made it awkward but just that he wasn't totally boring. And she sort of liked him. Since they moved into the academy once they got their powers, she had gotten to know the teachers, sort of like how everyone else had. And Sage was someone she had really gotten to know. Though right now, that wasn't whom she was trying to find.

Raffy had sent her best friend Seb a text this morning, one that simply told him that; Your ass better be in the cafe by seven thirty! She knew many people had been up at six that morning, getting ready or just from nerves, but as usual she had woken up at seven and then stayed in bed another fifteen minutes, leaving her with five minutes to get ready before she had to leave to meet her bestie. Her hair was in a loose plait, which she had done the previous night after showering so it would be easy to manage in the morning. Turns out it was a good choice, and when she brushed through it it was left with a gently wave and there were still streaks of dark orange from it being wet, but she didn't mind. Picking out an outfit was easy too, very light pink distressed skinny jeans and a cute white, sleeveless top that was held up by her chest- she would have to remember not to slouch when she sat that day, didn't want to accidentally flash anyone.

Surprisingly, she left her room sort of happy, even though her feet were killing in the black and tan sandals she wore. Maybe she was dressed up a little bit to impress Seb, or even Sage, and who knew what other boys would decide to take a liking to her this year? Either way, it was a huge change from her usual hoodie-and-hottopic-jeans default, which would probably be what she was outfitted in for the rest of the year. And it wasn't like she had the most attractive attitude either, so she didn't understand why she had had so much luck with guys in the past. It must have been the rare days that she did wear nice things, or just that she was a total bitch and "hard to get", as she had been told. Suppose she was though, but she had no idea why that was a turn-on for some guys. Raffy wasn't even at the cafeteria yet when she pressed call on her cell, not knowing if Seb was there already or not.

Kotabear Marks

There were three people on campus that Dakota Marks had "marked" as hot. First was Dexter Abrams, his roommate. The guy was smokin', and incredibly straight, but that did not stop him from flirting with the guy at any chance he got. Which was like always, because Kota just had a talent for it, and for making other people feel awkward. That wasn't even surprising though, he was the most openly gay kid ever, yet he flirted with the female population on a regular basis and mainly focused on making everyone feel really uncomfortable all the time, especially all the straight guys. Then there was another aspect of him, the one that wanted all the attention and didn't care how he got it. There were times when he made a fool of himself just to get a laugh out of people. Actually, that occurrence wasn't entirely uncommon. People liked him, people found him funny, it was easy to act like a dumbass to please people. Not to say he was a people pleaser, he cared little of what other thought of him, he just liked being the class clown. It was easier for him than actually being himself and trying to make friends, because in that case he would have probably never made any friends at all.

He was one of those kids that were up at six in the morning. It didn't matter that he had taken a shower the previous night, he needed another one. Shameless, Kota walked around their dorm in his boxers, which were considerably tight and short. More boxer-briefs than anything. It was such a disappointment though that Dex wasn't even the slightest bit gay, because being roommates with a gay guy could have really been used to his benefit. When in class did he have the chance to run around in his boxers? Uh, yeah, never. Though he was looking forward to the locker rooms before Defense, he would at least get to walk around in his boxers then. It wasn't like he was creepy about it or anything, but he had no shame in checking other boys out either. It wasn't even weird, guys checked girls out all the time, right? That was like him, it didn't mean he wanted to date every single guy or something, and fortunately it seemed that most of the boys there had understood that. Or at least were trying to.

The other two sexy people were Zhayne Spencer and Nathan Veris. Though he rarely knew Zhayne, he knew the guy was hot, and the rest just didn't really matter. As for Nathan, it was the same situation, but Nathan was hot in a different kind of way. Zhayne had that sort of mysterious, sexy bad boy attraction to him, and Nathan had the nice, gentlemanly boy attraction. Even with the temperament, though he would admit the whole fire thing just made him a little hotter- irony, hah.

A little bit later and he was back in the room with just briefs, dancing around to music that he was providing with his own voice, and searching for clothes. In the end he had slipped on a pair of black skinny jeans that were tighter than skin, and a white tattered shirt. "Dexter, are you still here?" He called, flopping back onto his bed. He had to get to homeroom by eight thirty, and it was probably going on seven thirty now. If Dex was there, he would probably ask to walk with him, considering he was a little bit nervous about first class. If not, he would wing it. After a little bit he grabbed his phone and slipped a pair of headphones onto his neck, heading out anyways in the direction on the cafeteria. Unfortunately when he got there, there was no one he knew, and he ended up just lazing about at his own table with his feet up on another and BMTH playing loudly from his headphones.

Alex Mayweather

Alex had been up most of the night. It was very rare that ever got much sleep. The dead were always whispering or shouting in her head. How she was able to keep up with every conversation surprised her. There was one particular one she enjoyed the most since last night. He was a very old ghost who died at an early age during the crusade. He had a very special and appealing way of talking that she enjoyed so much that she spent most of the night listening to most of what he had to say.He talked about war, God, and love. He seemed so elated to finally have someone to talk to and express everything he's been wishing to say. Once he finished talking, Alex checked her clock and it read 7:40. Alex knew she needed to be in class at 8:30 so she got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. She then grabbed a comb and brushed her hair letting it fall into soft curls. She went over to her suit case that still needed to be unpacked and grabbed an outfit. Alex threw on dark skinny jeans that were ripped at the knees, a black tank top that said "Ol' Dirty Bastard" in white letters, a pair of grey vans, and to top it off she put on her brothers leather jacket that she stole from him.

Alex walked out to the hallway and proceeded to find the main hall. Her stomach was growling frantically for some food. It took her a bit, but ALex finally found the main hall. She looked around and noticed that as many students as she expected were out. Alex checked her phone and it read 7:55. She just shrugged and continued to walk down the hall, following the smell of food and coffee. Normally Alex didn't drink coffee but to today she was exceptionally tired and needed something to at least stay awake for her first couple of classes. Suddenly Alex stopped in the hallway. She rubbed her temples as the ghosts began to grow louder in her head. She bet she looked like a freak right now but she didn't care, all she wanted was for them to quiet down. Once they had she felt an arm around her and her senses were suddenly overcome by the smell of coffee and men's cologne. She turned herself to the man standing next to her and took the cup of coffee from his hand and took a huge gulp of it. "Hey, try not to drink all of it." He said to her. Alex laughed as she handed him back the cup in trade of a chocolate muffin. She looked up at her older brother and asked, "what do you want, Greyson?" Her brother's response was a laugh and then he said, "My jacket back."

"Nah, it's mine now." She stuck her tongue out at him to go and find herself a spot to sit down and enjoy her muffin. Greyson trailed along behind her.

Greyson grumbled at the sound of his alarm and rolled himself out of bed. If not for the alarm he never would have woken up and probably would get an earful from Alex for skipping class without her.Greyson rubbed the sleep out of his eyes as he entered the bathroom to brush is teeth. As he put toothpaste onto his tooth brush, Greydon checked himself out in the mirror and made note that he needed to shave later. His hair looked like a character from Dragon Ball Z. Greyson grabbed his mousse and quickly put some in his hair to fix it. "It seems you'll also be needing a hair cut soon too." Greyson said to himself after he finished brushing his teeth and returned to his room. Greyson grabbed a white tee shirt from his drawer and threw it on and found some pants on the floor from last night. He looked around his room for his leather jacket only to find that it was missing. He shook his head in amusement. "Oh, Alex." Greyson decided to grab an old dark green sweater and some fingerless gloves. He then grabbed some sandals and proceed to leave his room and walk down to the main hallway. Greyson was dressed rather lazily but he didn't really care, he could still charm women dressed as a bum.

Greyson could smell food as he got closer and closer to the main hallway. he decided to stop and buy himself a large cup of coffee and two muffins, one chocolate and one blue berry. The chocolate one was for his sister Alex. Greyson looked around for his sister. he figured she would be up by now. Unlike him, she never got any sleep. He spotted her rubbing her temples. he could tell that it had to do with the voices going on in her head. Greyson caught some people giving her weird looks and he quickly glared at them. They turned away and greyson put his arm around her. She took his coffee and drank a rather large portion of it. "Hey, don't drink all of it." Greyson gave her the muffin and she turned to him. "what do you want, Greyson?" Greyson laughed. "My jacket back." Alex stuck her tongue out at him. "Nah, it's mine now." She walked away from him and he followed her. The two found a place to sit and ate their muffins together quietly. Greyson looked around as soon as he finished. He wondered where his friends were.

Alana Kanoor
Image

Alana wasn't overly fond of mornings, but then again, who was? The moment she had heard the alarm on her phone go off from across the room, the girl had wished she was back at Mrs. Debnies house where she would be awoken by the sweet smell of freshly made pancakes and a warm cup of hot chocolate.
She wasn't even that fond of hot chocolate, but for a short second Alana wished her stay at Mrs. Debnies house had been just a little bit longer...
After a few more minutes of wishful thinking, the persistent sound of the ringing tone got on Alana's nerves and caused her to unravel herself from the comfy bed sheets and turn off the alarm. The plan of putting her phone on the opposite end of the room had seemed so good the night before, but now it was just plain annoying. However, her choices were either A: get up now or B: Be late for the day.
Alana chose to go with option A, of course.

As she walked back to make her bed, Alana caught sight of reflection in the mirror.
The first thing she noticed about the face staring back? Her hair resembled a rats nest. Knowing that it would be next to impossible to drag the hair comb through the thick dark curls that layered across her head without the aid of water and conditioner, Alana changed her mind about making her bed made her way to the bathroom and started the shower. Although she would probably have showered everyday even without the mass of tangles, Alana's morning routine always started with hopping into the hot running water for the sole purpose of not to spend the rest of the day having one gigantic knot sitting on her head.
Once the washing was done, Alana hopped back out, dried herself off, and then ran a comb quickly through her hair before tying it up in a ponytail.
The girl rarely spent a very long in the bathroom, and was out in to the main area of the room just under an hour after she had applied a small bit of make-up to her face.
It was her second first day at Astral Academy, she might as well make a good impression... or try to tweak the last one.

As Alana put on her outfit, she wondered if anyone else attending the academy was feeling the same thing she was at the moment. She wasn't new to Astral, but the same thoughts that she had on her actual first day were running through her head again.
It was rare for the sixteen year old to feel worried. She had forced herself to grow up fast and not let her emotions bother her, but at the moment she felt... scared. There was no reason for the knot in her stomach, yet it was still there, mocking her for her unreasonable worries.
She was a Capricorn, she was strong. Her fears however, weren't, and would surely slow her down with her school work.

Taking in a breath as she slipped on her shoes, Alana headed out the door and into the long hallways of Astral Academy.

Michael Smith
Image

Michael was an early riser. The early bird gets the worm, most people would say, but to the boy staring down at the trays of food in front of him, it was more like the first one awake gets the best breakfast.
He had already showered, brushed his teeth, gotten dressed, and even had time to clone himself and have a great conversation about how terrific he looked before he had felt the feeling of hunger rise in his stomach.
Not many people had been awake when Michael first came into the dining hall earlier in the morning, but by the time he had picked out what he wanted, chose a nice place to sit, and stopped poking at the pancakes on his plate, many of the other students had arrived and were eating.
Still, while they had a touch of tiredness to them, Michael was happily enjoying his coffee.

As he ate, no one came and sat down with him, which really wasn't a surprise. He'd watch as a group of friends waltz into the hall and rush to sit down with another group of friends, but none of the people that entered the eating area chose to sit with him. Oh well.
He moved on to the french toast when a figure walked past him and caught his attention.
"Oh, hey Alana!"
"Don't talk to me, Smith."
"My name is Michael." The boy corrected, waving a finger.
"I know who you are. Leave me alone." Alana snapped, turning around and shooting a glare at him. Was she as mean as last year? Yes. That was definitely confirmed.
Michael held up his hands, "I was just trying to make chitchat, honest."
Alana scowled, "Bother someone else."

Michael ripped off a piece of french toast and plopped it into his mouth as he watched Alana Kanoor walk away. He didn't like her, anyway. No reason to care if just one person he wasn't fond of told him to leave them alone.

Some people may argue and say that first days suck in general. That the first day of school: sucks. The first day of work: sucks. The first day at an amusement park: suck because there's too many damn people. Well, Jugg B. Jones is the exception to this stereotype of nearly all people. Jugg loves the first days of any event. Whether it be school, work, or any other thing. He believes first days hold the wonder and the possibilities that would be gone by the second. Plus, and this goes especially for the first days of school, everyone's on edge. Paranoia sets in for some about whether they'll been popular, a loner, one of the normal people, or the laugh of the school. And a lot of people probably missed sleep over this all and are in a moody mood, ready to snap at anyone that even looks at them funny. Jugg finds entertainment in this.

So, of course, he doesn't like moody people at all, but when someone snaps off at someone else that isn't him, h can't help but laugh. He would sit there and think to himself how dumb that person that was snapped at way. They should know that you don't mess with people on the first day, because everyone's one their edge. The closest to the edge they've ever been. But, of course, a lot of people just can't do that. They just have to go around messing. And this brings in the entertainment. Not to mention a lot of people got to sleep late. Jugg wasn't one of the late people though. He had gotten to the school a bit early and was able to get his suitcase and backpack up to his room and spend the rest of the evening lurking around campus until making his way back to his room and to sleep. He heard everyone coming in quite late, but he was too busy mumbling curses at them as he tried staying asleep and was rather successful at that.

Jugg ended up waking at the sound of his alarm clock at 7:30. He turned over on his pillow, grabbed the alarm clock, and threw it across the room. Ultimately, it was smashed against the wall. The exterior of the plastic clock wasn't damaged, but the cording on the inside most likely was. But after a few days of that, it wont work at all. After that, Jugg went through his normal daily retinue of oral hygiene check, bodily hygiene check, and a fresh pair of clothes which consisted of grey baggy skinny jeans with darker grey stars dotted pattern all over it and a purple shirt with "MIRACLES EVERYWHERE!" printed on it in black with a rainbow behind it and a few star and swirly dots around the little scene. This is typically Jugg's favorite shirt. He topped it all off with his only pair of black high-tops. Thus completes Jugg B's outfit for today. He grabbed his backpack and headed on down to the cafe with his bright purple headphones over his ears blasting If by ICP in his ears. He grabbed a pop-tart for his breakfast and found a place on a surprisingly empty table. He didn't sit in one of the chairs like all the normal people. No, he climbed on top of it and sat with his legs crossed right in the middle of the table. Jugg checked the time, 7:57. He nodded, "Niiice."

The metal pole flew up and down as fast as Jack could lift it. His eyes straight and focused, concentrated at the ceiling. In his mind the counting; fifty seven, fifty eight, fifty nine, sixty, had come to and end. Jack let the weights down easily onto the resting stand and then let out a deep sigh. Small beads of sweat flowed down from his hair line onto his nose and then dripped onto his soaked Superman t-shirt as he sat up. With his right hand he reached for his bottle of water, and with his left he pulled a phone from his pocket. The cold water seemed to evaporate the moment it hit his tongue, but this sensation was no longer an anomaly, Jack had long grew custom to the high internal body heat that was typical of Leos.

The phone read 6:13am. Jack stood up from the bench and looked into the mirror, admiring all of the equipment as well as the beautiful workmanship that was put into the room. It had been a while since Jack was a student here at the Academy, yet it still felt very familiar, very close; it was home. He had always admired the castle, it was a grand piece of art, and Jack was satisfied that he could return once again.

Despite his enthusiasm, however, Jack still had many questions about the Eclipse that seemed to enhance his powers, and had a feeling things were going to be very different this time around. Bringing his focus back to the present, Jack made his way up towards the teacher wing. He wondered if any familiar faces would be out and about, perhaps people he knew would also be teachers here as well, but despite his hopes he did not see anyone. Too early I guess.

Jack reached into his gym pack and pulled out his door key. The beautifully crafted mahogany door was decorated with a square ornate design, and a shiny brass door handle. In slid the key and unlocked the door. With a small push it opened and showed a decent sized living quarter that would be Jack's home for this school year. Within was an secluded area that would act as an office, complete with desk and seating area. This is where Jack would do much of his lesson preparation and extra help. It still excited Jack that he would be a teacher at this academy. Being a teacher was something he was used to, for before he was called to work at the academy he was a high-school philosophy teacher. Of course his job now was quite different he still felt that he would bring ample experience to his Defense position.

Past the office area was a small living area, complete with fire-place. Next to that was the kitchen, which was more like a table and a small refrigerator. Across from the kitchen was the bedroom. This is where Jack was now. He was getting out of his workout clothing and getting some new clothes out for the day. The bedroom was outfitted with a bed, two dressers, a place to hang clothes, a bed-side table, and a comfy looking chair. After getting his clothes Jack walked to the final room of his quarter; the bathroom.

He undressed and got into the shower and cleaned his body. Once finished he groomed himself by combing his hair in a fancy, yet preppy fashion. It was slightly similar to a comb over, except that since He had a full head of hair it actually looked nice. He put on a red collared shirt and light brown dress pants. Over his shirt he wore his favorite dark grey blazer. Now that he was ready he looked at the clock on the wall and saw that the hour hand had just struck seven. He made his way down through the teacher wing, still not seeing anyone. He then passed a few classrooms and then made his way to the main hall and the cafeteria.

After looking through the selections Jack decided on a bagel and fruit salad. Jack then sat down at a smaller table and opened up a book he had in his bag. The title read:"The Great Gatsby." Jack began to read and eat. I can't believe I never read this Jack thought as he began. A past student had suggested the book to him a few months ago, and since Jack enjoyed reading he took on the book. It only took a few minutes to finish eating, and when he did jack put away his trash and put the book back into his bag. This is when some of the first students came down. A boy and a girl, seemingly bickering or fighting. Jack got up and headed to the Headmaster's room. Its been a while since Jack had seen Seamus and was eager to see what was going on.

When he arrived he was about to knock on the door but then he saw a familiar face coming down the hall. This woman was quite beautiful, Jack thought. And when he realized who it was surprise overtook him. "Sammy S? Is that you?"

The ringing went of precisely at 6:00am, and with the artificial noise of birds chirping Samantha awoke. She stretched her arms out and yawned before she reached under her pillow and pulled out her phone, turning off the alarm. Today was the first day of school and she felt very different this day then ever before. Sam flipped over onto her side and remembered what it felt like all those years ago. Her first experience at the academy was life-changing. She was a young teen who just discovered she had some sort of "magical" gifts. Now as an adult she is back with even more knowledge of her gifts and the chance to help and aid youngsters in their journey.

After a couple moments of laziness Samantha got up and hurried into the bathroom and showered. The warm water felt great against her newly awake self. The hot droplets bouncing off her almost flawless skin stung with its heat. Samantha than began to move her hand in a circle motion, and in doing so she was controlling the water around her to spin into a ball shape. Being able to manipulate water and control it was one of the gifts Sammy felt was relaxing and calming. After washing her luscious brown locks, Samantha stepped out of the shower and began to get dressed. Today she wore a navy blue blouse and a knee length skirt that was charcoal black. Next she put on some make-up, brushed her teeth and then sat down to write in her journal. She wrote about how she was feeling, recalling past memories, and writing down some hopes and goals for the day. She was more than thrilled to be teaching her favorite subject: English. However since she would be teaching students with very different ages, and educations she had to make a non conventional outline for her class.

Her room was quite neat and orderly, she had a few bookcases stocked with books, a couple dressers filled with clothing and accessories, and a not so neat bed. Seeing the mess she left Samantha quickly went over and made her bed. The white fluffy blanket looked like fresh fallen snow upon the mattress and tempted Samantha to lay down again. Resisting the temptation Sam went on to get her items and materials for the day, and lastly she put on her shoes, grabbed a muffin from the counter and headed out the door. She made her way down the stairs and through the labyrinth of halls and rooms.

She was headed to the Headmaster's room when a male voice called out her name. "Sammy S? Is that you?"

Not many people called her Sammy, and very fewer people called her Sammy with a slight English accent. Samantha's face brightened up and her smile grew large. "Jack Rosen! No way! How are you?" Samantha tried not to act too excited, but Jack was "one of the older kids" from when she was a student at the academy. Samantha was even surprised he knew her name, they never really talked outside of class, or had any real connections.

"I'm doing well actually, just getting ready to see Old Seamus" said Jack. He too was smiling like a fool. It was nice to see someone he knew, but wow did she look different he thought. Samantha wasn't always the beautiful woman she is today, in fact she did not really become so great looking until her late teen years.

"Well you look great," she said, eyeing him from head to toe.

"Thanks, so do you, like wow," Jack said in a small laugh.

"Well thanks, shall we head in?" Samantha then knocked lightly on the door and opened it. "Hello Seamus" said both Jack and Samantha.

They both took a seat and started some small talk. They asked about their careers, homes, family, friends, powers, and the eclipse. But it seemed like Seamus had something to say, but was waiting for the other teachers to arrive.

Amelia groaned, to the sound of nothing. She had awoken precisely at 7:29 am. and she waited for the sharp noise of her alarm clock. "Three, two, one," Amelia counted off in her head and the ringing came, about five seconds after her initial guess. She shrugged off her comforter, shivering at the coldness that instantly hit her. Running a hand through her bed-messed hair, she got up, her feet hitting the floor. She shivered again, tiptoeing quickly towards the bathroom. "Cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold!" She whispered to herself, until she finally got to the bathroom, which was even cooler than the rest of her dorm. She glanced back, already seeing that her roommate was gone. Last night, her roommate came late and Amelia didn't get to meet her. Hopefully she wasn't too bad.

Amelia brought her attention to the mirror of the bathroom and started to work on her appearance. Call it conceited or self-centered but people judge others first on their appearance. She quickly did her normal oral hygiene routine and curled her hair. She applied a bit of mascara, careful not to overdo it. Amelia looked herself over in the mirror and nodded, before slipping on a pair of ripped skinny jeans and a black muscle shirt with a cross on it. She wasn't actually religious, she just liked the shirt. She put some black converses and checked her clock. It was 8:00 now, which wasn't that bad. She walked towards the door, hoping that she might actually gain a friend, hoping that she wouldn't screw up her first day at this academy."First day," she thought. "Let's hope it's a good one."

She walked down the halls, smiling at random people who walked by her and receiving some back. After a few minutes, she entered the cafe, grabbing toast and some scrambled eggs. Looking around, Amelia noticed that most of the tables were surprisingly full. She checked the room again, finding only two tables that were open. One with a boy with what seemed like a permanent smirk. The other with a curly-haired boy who sat on the table instead of the chairs like everyone else was sitting on. She turned her head back to the first table, seeing him with another girl with thick, dark hair. Amelia watched as she walked away angry. Either she was not a morning person or the boy with the smirk said something wrong. She looked at the boy sitting on the table again and walked over.

"Hey, do you mind if I sit here? On the chairs?" Amelia asked, holding onto her plate and looking up at the curly-haired boy on the table.

Sebastian had already been awake that morning when his phone buzzed, alerting him to an incoming message. It wasn't because of the first day of school... it never intimidated him. He was just an early riser. He always wondered why kids were so nervous about the first day more than the week of finals. It just didn't make sense. He opened his messages to see that it was from none other than Raffy, his best friend. It read: Your ass better be in the cafe by seven thirty! He just chuckled to himself, setting the phone down and not even sending her a response. He knew that she would be lucky to make it there by seven thirty. She had a knack for sleeping in until the latest possible second.

He had woken up to go on a short run, about thirty minutes or so. He showered when he got back, leaving his hair to air dry. Of course, that didn't take very long, so it was already dry, hanging straight and giving him bangs that hung to the right. He was cleanly shaven for his first day, and while he didn't necessarily care about looking nice for anyone, he did want to look professional. He had chosen a grey and blue plaid shirt with black skinny jeans and a pair of nice, black tennis shoes. Simple, nice looking, and not overdone. It was perfect. He liked to be taken seriously, not so much by his fellow students, but by the teachers. Getting his peers to take him seriously was practically impossible. He certainly had one of the oldest souls. He didn't rush around to make it to the cafeteria on time, and had just finished packing his books by the time the clock read seven thirty. He slung the bag over his shoulder, double checked that he had everything, then left his room. It looked as clean as if no one had been sleeping in it at all.

He walked down the halls at a comfortable pace, waving at those he passed, saying some general hellos. Upon reaching the cafeteria, he was surprised to see Raffy standing in front of him, eagerly scanning the room for him. She had actually made it on time. He'd have to bake her a cookie or something, he thought with a smile. He felt his phone begin to vibrate in his pocket, and he fished it out of his pocket to realize that it was his best friend calling. With a grin, he answered, staying silent. Then, he quietly snuck up behind her, leaning in to whisper into her ear. "Hello babe," he said softly, backing up in anticipation of her being startled.

He watched her from behind, his beautiful best friend. Her hair was in loose curls today, and she was dressed in light pink pants and a light, white sleeveless top. She looked stunning, he thought, and most likely she was trying to impress someone. Most certainly not him, since he'd seen her in sweats more times than he could count. He didn't exactly know what it was that glued them together, but it was something strong. He wasn't sure if it was the fact that they balanced each other out, or their differences kept things new and interesting. Many people tended to get the wrong idea about the pair, thinking they were dating instead of just best friends. He called her babe frequently, it was his nickname for her, and they spent a majority of their free time together. Except when she had a new boy toy to play with. But those never lasted long. And yet, they had never attempted anything themselves. I mean, he was certainly attracted to her. She was drop dead gorgeous. But they had a friendship that he couldn't lose. And he had never really thought about her in that way.

He put his hand on the small of her back and led her to a table, taking a seat only after she did. "So, what did you do last night?" he asked, genuinely curious. And then he followed up with "Are you excited for class this morning?" which was just a formality, since he already knew she most certainly wasn't.

Serafina Furier

Serafina hadn't been in a relationship that lasted any longer than a few weeks, maybe a month if they were especially entertaining. It wasn't really a flaw, at least she didn't count it as one, though she knew she had a lot of them. Instead she just saw it as... She hadn't found the right one yet, hadn't found someone that she actually wanted to make a relationship work with. For now then, she was happy with just messing around a bit, having fun while she could. More often than not it was the guy that left her, since she didn't ever try very hard in a relationship. That's sort of how she was in all aspects of her life though- friendships, work, school. People either figured it out and learned to deal with it, or decided she wasn't worth their time. As for school, people had always told her that she could have probably graduated as valedictorian if she had actually tried, but she hadn't- hardly ever did her homework. It didn't matter to her though, it never had, but after the eclipse she had become less and less concerned with certain affairs. Especially relationships, she hadn't "dated" anyone in a few months.

As for her relationship with Sebastian though, she really had no idea how he put up with her at all. They seemed like, no they were, complete opposites. Raffy just wanted to have fun and Seb seemed to have a stick up his ass half the time. Somehow they made it work though, balanced each other out or maybe just drove each other crazy. The first few months she had known him though, she wouldn't let him see her unless she was at her best, maybe searching for some sort of approval from him. Even if he always complimented her and was there to help whenever she needed it, she was pretty sure he was like that for most people and wanted something else. After realizing she wasn't going to get that though, she sort of stopped trying, letting him see her in sweats and when her hair wasn't done, even without make-up. Anyone who knew Raffy would agree when she said she was complex, more so than most females combined. Within minutes she could change her mind about something, but she would still fight that she was right even if she knew she was wrong. And while most people tried for something they wanted, she sort of expected it to be given to her, and if it wasn't she forgot about it. Had this talent of being incredibly emotionally detached from most situations.

Her cell stopped ringing a few moments later. "Where are you?" There wasn't any answer though, but the familiar beep of an ended call didn't come so he had to still be listening. "Seb, I swear to-" She jumped as her best friend seemed to suddenly materialize beside her, flipping around and reaching out to slap his chest but he had moved out of reach, obviously expecting it. Golden red sparks danced on her fingertips and as soon as she realized it, she pulled her hand back and frowned down at it, feeling embarrassed. She still had little control over her powers, and they loved acting up at the worst times possible. The sparks disappeared though a moment later, and she gave a sigh of relief. One night they wouldn't go away, and she had spent the whole night with her arms elbow-down on fire, terrified.

"Jerk," she muttered, even as she leaned up on her toes to kiss his cheek, probably another factor that was related to the whole dating-rumor. It was her way of greeting, like his petname for her was 'babe'. Raffy let him lead her into the cafe and over to a table, where she sat down at perfectly graceful as always, crossing her ankles and moving them to the side of her body. In junior high she had practically trained herself to do things like that, having been obsessed with being popular- now she didn't care though. Still, it was like second nature and it wasn't like it was a bad thing. "Last night? Mostly slept, you know, like normal people." She smirked, then returned the question. "So excited. It's always been my dream to be shoved back into High School at twenty." Raffy rolled her eyes, a bad habit that she seemingly had only around Seb. She was more or less a lady around strangers and adults.

"This is what makes us girls..."
Mischief could faintly hear Lana del Rey on her phone radio. She groaned and turned her head, "Turn it off Karma," She pleaded "Karma?" She propped herself on her elbows and sighed. "Oh yeah I forgot, I'm far far away from home." She thought to herself as she slipped out of bed and into the bathroom. She took a shower before heading for the mirror. It was the same every morning. Light blue eyes, small nose, pouty lips, and rosy cheeks, flushed from her shower. She took the towel she secured around her hair off, making her dark brown curls tumble down her back. Her bangs which she let grow over the summer now hung in her cheeks and slightly resembled the bangs she had during her alternative phase. She shivered at the memory.

"All right gorgeous, let's get to work." She said beginning to brush the curls, it wasn't hard, her hair hardly ever got knotty. She brushed it until it was straight and reached her waist. She strolled to her room and headed straight for her dresser. After trying on half of her wardrobe she finally settled on an outfit. A cropped top, skater skirt, and heeled shoe. She nodded in approval before heading back to the bathroom, it was sexy yet adorable just the way she liked it. She slicked on some mascara and red lipstick before straightening her hair until it looked sleek and ridiculously thick, which it already was. She added silver hoops and a tiny silver necklace. She smiled at her reflection. "Perfection." She decided.

She walked out of her room to the cafeteria with a smile on her face. She waved at a few people. Once inside she had a fruit pastry. She looked around and spotted two people. A boy and girl, and based on their comfort around eachother they were probably relatd or old friends. She sat across from them "Hey,my name's mischief. how goes it?" She asked, sitting across from them. She raised her eyebrows. Which was her way of asking "Is it ok if I sit here?" She tilted her head to the side making hair cascade down her shoulders gathering in a pile on the table. She picked it up and examined the ends, even though she knew she had no dead ends, her hair was her prized possession and she took great care of it. "Think I should cut it?" She asked as she fished a pin out of her shirt, she always has bobby pins in her shirt, and pinned her bangs back so they wouldn't get in her food as she ate. "My hair, sorry I can be a bit self cenered. Anyway I'm Mischief, please call me Missy. I'm a Leo, I like fire." She said before taking another bite of her pastry.

Alena took a longer time than she normally did in a shower. The walk from her bedroom to the bathroom was pure torture. She had to remind herself that she needed to push herself out of the bed. Classes were today and she couldn't lie around all day. It was a horrible thing to do, but she even reminded herself that if she were at home, her father would never allow her to sleep late. She cringed at the thought. An image of a broken beer bottle flying into her room and shattering against the window right beside her bed flitted into her mind, a smaller version of herself nearly screaming herself awake. Shaking her head, Lena leaned her head against the cool wall of the shower, ignoring the initial repulse she had to the idea of a communal shower.

It still hadn't sunk into her that she was - in a sense - free. She felt almost selfish; her brother was not given these powers. With all of the work he did since her mother died, he should be gifted with abilities and allowed to attend a school that would hone them. Not her. Alena almost slipped into a depressive state before a pout from the imaginary Circe knocked her out of it. Lena smiled at the thought. Her friend, who was more like a big sister than anything else, hated it when she would get into these states and Lena constantly used the girl's face in her mind as a means for keeping herself tempered. Deeming herself clean, Lena turned off the shower, wrapped herself in a fluffy towel, and with everything she owned in her grasp, scurried off to her room in hopes that she did not end up being seen.

After at nearly ten minutes, Lena was fully dressed and fixing her hair. Though she was never one to care too much about her appearance, Lena also understood that she was in high school. Image was everything and she didn't want to just walk around in sweats and tie her hair up in a chignon all day. Besides, she actually liked dresses and despite disliking her hair on numerous occasions, she liked playing around with it. When she was done, two braids were tied on either side of her head and then woved back together by a black ribbon. The rest of the strands fell down her back in soft and naturally curls. Satisfied, she grabbed a random handbag for the day and glanced around her side of the room, making sure it was neat. Her roommate was still asleep and Lena already tried to wake the girl up; the pillow thrown from earlier still in the center of the room. She left.

By the time Alena reached the cafeteria, there were a few students and the need to sprint in the other direction bubbled up inside her chest, but she squashed it down. It was no secret that Lena was shy. Albeit, a tad bit too shy, but when you grew up with a man that wanted to punch you every time you said the wrong thing, talking in front of others with the expectation of a negative response becomes the norm. Lena braced herself and walked to get food, smiling at the server that made her plate for her. Once satisfied with her pancakes, fruit and orange juice, Lena pulled out her phone and sent a quick text to both Circe and Ella for them to come for breakfast.

"Now, where to sit...?" Lena quietly inquired of herself, looking around. She could choose a window seat, giving herself a space to just be and drift. Her eyes flitted in the direction of familiar red hair and a small, but genuine smile lit up her face at who accompanied the red-haired girl. Lena blushed momentarily and turned away quickly before her eyes fell on a familiar face that she was comfortable with. With newfound energy, Lena headed in Amela's direction, smiling politely at the guy Amelia was standing near. "Good morning, Millie."

Jugg was merely sitting there, listening to each song as it played in his ear. When a girl came over, he wasn't surprised one bit. He was hardly ever surprised. But this, this was obvious. He took out one of his ear buds and raised an eyebrow at her as she asked her questions. At first, Jugg didn't understand why she added the 'on the chairs' part, like there was anywhere else to sit. Then it sunk in and made since, considering he was sitting on the table in the first place.

"Sure, that's what the chairs are there for, aren't they? For sitting?" Jugg replied with a shrug before taking a big chomp out of his apple and about to get off the table before another girl came up. This girl with fairly white hair. Jugg flashed her more of an odd grin than a smile before easing off the table to where he was standing on the floor. He shot his apple into a garbage can near by and made it mid-center into the can. After cheering to himself quietly, which consisted of his throwing his arms up and saying "Yeeeeah!" in a whisper-voice. He then turned back to the girls.

"Please, sit! I assure you, the chairs don't bite. They're there for you to sit in after all." He said with a cheeky grin, putting his arms out to the chairs to gesture to the chairs he was talking about in a comical way. He then sat down in one of the chairs himself and looked around at all the people before looking back up at the girls. Today's going to be a long day.

Niklaus Venator

Image

Niklaus had laid awake for most of the night staring at the ceiling instead of getting the sleep he so deserved from the long trip to the academy. The reason for his lack of sleep was quite simple, he was too busy plotting domination of the school. Niklaus hoped that by the end of the first semester he would have the school running much like his former one. The problem would be convincing people to work for him in. Even more so with Olivia and Alex attending this school along with him, Greyson, and Nathen. Greyson wouldn't be too hard to maintain as long as Alex was on board which, for the most part, she would be as long as she wasn't around when he handled 'business'. Nathen always seemed to be able to tolerate Niklaus and being that the too were seemingly friends, more people would listen to him. Olivia was his biggest problem for the most part. The two of them have been best friends for a long time. People always seem surprised at the fact that she would even be able to stand being around Niklaus and his dark ways, even Niklaus questioned it. Olivia is too kind and has such high expectations for him and somehow thinks he is very deep down, a kind man. Of course many other people would firmly disagree, even Niklaus.

The thoughts of how Niklaus would run the school and his business had whizzed through his mind through most of the night until early morning. He contemplated how he would achieve knew recruits and what victims he would have for his homework. NIklaus figured he would have homeroom to think his plans over and decided to get out of bed. Niklaus decided at 6 in the morning that it would be a somehow brilliant idea for him to play his piano this early in the morning. Niklaus sat in front of his electronic keyboard and cracked his knuckles while trying to decide on a song. He decided to a looped rendition of Two Steps From Hell's Archangel. During this time, Niklaus didn't really care if it annoyed his neighbors or roommate who seemed to be sound asleep. Niklaus continued to play until his phone alarm went off at 7 and Niklaus began getting ready.

Niklaus went to the bathroom and brushed his teeth and washed his face. He then grabbed his many expensive hair products and spent 10 minutes making his hair look like what he considered perfect. Next he stepped over to his closet and went through the many elobrate and expensive pieces of clothing he had. he finally decided on something simple: a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and black tie that was tied loosely around his neck, dark jeans, and black dress shoes. Niklaus was pleased with this look. he always dressed nicely seeing as it made him look more intimidating than wearing everyday street clothes like he'd seen most lower and middle class do. To Niklaus, the way you dressed determined your status. Niklaus took one final look in the mirror and left his room not even bothering to see if his roommate was up. When in the hall, he pulled out his phone, which read as 7:45, and sent a text to Olivia saying, "Hey beautiful, I'll see you no later than 8 in the main hall.". Niklaus proceeded down the hall to go and meet his best friend.

Dexter was woken by the sound of Kota walking about, and when the door closed behind his friend, his eyes opened slowly. Glancing over to his bedside table, he grabbed his iPhone and checked the time. Six fifteen?! Holy shit, no way was he waking up that early. He turned over and closed his eyes, letting his phone fall on the bed beside him. Yet, sleep wouldn't come back. After ten minutes, he gave up and got out of bed, muttering every swear word that came to mind. He picked out his outfit, a simple dark grey v-neck t-shirt and a pair of dark wash jeans, accompanied by a nice pair of black shoes. It was simple, and yet he still looked sexy. He had showered the night before, so he still had bed head, yet he just ran his hands through it a few times, becoming satisfied. So many guys loved the disheveled look, and he didn't even have to spend time on it to make it look exactly the same.

Dex was out of the room before Kota got back, but he didn't worry about it too much. He figured they'd catch up with each other in the cafeteria, or at homeroom. Either way, he headed for the practice rooms, which were open twenty four hours a day. There was no one around when he reached the music wing, and he entered the first practice room he found, closing and locking the door behind him. He sat on the bench, running his hands smoothly on the keys. Many people felt as if he was a walking contradiction; he was a player and yet could play classical music on the piano, and he sat down to paint every single day. Yet, that was just who he was. He connected more with arts than he ever had with any other school subject.

He fooled around on the keys, not playing any song completely through. He tried to come up with new tunes, or figure out which popular songs on the radio he could transfer to the piano. Eventually, the soothing sound of the instrument caused his eyes to droop, and he moved his way to the floor, closing his eyes and figured he would just take a short power nap.

When his eyes opened, he sluggishly grabbed his phone out of his pocket, looking down to see it was almost seven forty-five. He'd fallen asleep for over an hour in the practice room. Not that it would really matter if he was late for class. He probably wouldn't end up paying attention anyway. Still, he figured he might as well head to the cafeteria and eat a bit of breakfast. Plus, he could see what ladies had already made it to the cafeteria. Perhaps he could begin his charms earlier in the morning than normal.

His trek to the cafeteria was uneventful. He didn't run into many people, and figured they were already eating breakfast. When he entered the dining hall, he saw his suspicions were correct. It was brimming with people, every table occupied by at least one. He settled on a relatively small breakfast of an apple and oatmeal, accompanied with a glass of orange juice. Upon further inspection of the bodies occupying the tables, he saw Kota lounging by himself. He gave the boy a wave, although doubted his friend actually saw the gesture. He saw Greyson, who was his best (straight) friend, and made his way over there. He'd split his remaining time before class with his two best friends.

Once Dex was closer to the table, he realized that not only were Greyson and his sister present, but Mischief was as well. She in particular was one of his favorites to mess with. He never failed to flirt with her, even though he was pretty positive she didn't want much to do with him. Plus, it was common knowledge that she was a virgin. And, let's face it, he wanted to be the first guy to conquer that. Every other guy was thinking the same thing, they just didn't want to admit it.

He patted Grey on the back as he walked by, sitting on the empty chair and placing his food on the table. "Hey man," he said simply, giving his good friend a smile. Then, he turned his attention briefly to Alex. "Good to see you, Alex." He gave her a short nod, but then moved his eyesight to Mischief. "Hey Missy," he greeted, using her nickname. "You are looking absolutely beautiful today." He was going to be the most charming guy on the face of the planet. Because, certainly, he couldn't let her know what was actually going on in his mind.

Greyson Mayweather

Greyson sat next to his sister and decided to take the liberty of teasing and poking her. She fought back by stealing his coffee again so Greyson took a chunk of his blueberry muffin and shoved in her mouth. It wasn't the smartest plan being as Alex spat the muffin right back in his fave and laughed. Greyson took a napkin and cleaned his face. Alex just continued to laugh at him until they both noticed a girl walking towards them. Alex went quiet for a moment and Greyson looked at her then back at the girl. The girl reached the table and spoke to the both of them. Alex seemed to look spaced out which meant she was mostly likely lost in a conversation going on in her head. "Hey,my name's mischief. how goes it?" Michief's voice suddenly snapped Greyson back to attention and he straightened up in his seat. There was no doubt about it, the girl was beautiful.

Mischief sat across from them and raised an eyebrow at the two. Greyson was confused at first but then he stood up and reached his arm across the table to shake her hand. "I'm Greyson." He pointed to Alex. "And this is my sister, Alex." Alex still had the same spaced out on her face. "She's a bit... Occupied at the moment." He watched as she brought all her hair to the side and it cascaded down to hit the top of the table. The thoughts that ran through Greyson's mind at that moment...

Mischief mentioned cutting her hair and Greyson just stated at her for a moment with a raised eyebrow. She must've thought that he didn't understand because she then took the liberty of explaining what she meant but cutting it. "My hair, sorry I can be a bit self cenered. Anyway I'm Mischief, please call me Missy. I'm a Leo, I like fire." Greyson laughed and folded his arms across his chest. "Nothing wrong with being self-centered when you look that amazing. And as far as names, in case you somehow forgot the gorgeous face that goes with my amazing name, I'm Greyson and I'm a Sagitarius an my sister Alex is a Scorpio." He thought it to be funny that they were introducing themselves with their astral signs, then again that was what this school was for. At the corner of his eye he saw Alex blink her eyes and look around. He was about to comment when Greyson caught sight of his best friend Dexter.

"Hey Dex!" Greyson shouted at him with a huge smile. The two have been best friends for a long time and always seem to understand each other. It's like they could tell each other absolutely anything. Greyson watched as he turned on the charm with Missy and Greyson rolled his eyes and laughed. Of anyone was to be crowned biggest flirt, it would be Dexter hands down. Greyson patted him on the back. "Ease up on the poor girl Dex, it's only the first day."

Olivia awoke to the screeching sound of her alarm clock, signaling the start of her day. She reached a hand out from under her blankets and shut it off, and her room was once again filled with silence. Sunlight filtered in trough the window, the morning rays lighting up the room with a pale orange glow. Groggily, she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She took a moment preparing herself to get up, before slowly sliding out from under the comforter. It was slightly chilly as she left the comfort of her bed. She quickly padded into the bathroom and brushed her teeth, following through with her morning routine. She then turned on the water and took a hot shower, letting the heat relax her. For some reason, she preferred hot showers to cold, or even warm ones.

By the time Olivia got out, the mirrors were covered in fog, and steam curled around in the air. Since she decided to wash her hair too, it was soaked. With a small movement, she drained the water out, and sent it into the tub. Now her hair was completely dry. She went to her closet to pick out what to wear. She had arrived back at academy late the day before, and stayed up unpacking everything. Her clothes were hung neatly in the closet, and all her belongings were put away or up on the walls and shelves. She settled on pretty simple outfit. It consisted of a light blue sweater over leggings and cute fold over combat boots. A necklace with an intricate crab pendant hung permanently around her neck, and she put on a small blue bracelet to match her sweater.

Satisfied, Olivia left her dorm room and headed to the cafeteria hall. Since this wasn't her first year, she could navigate through the academy pretty well, though she still ended up getting lost sometimes. It was easy to lose your way in the large castle. Her first year had been a fiasco. She was late to a lot of classes because she had such a hard time finding them. Hopefully, this year would be different.

In the food hall, she spotted Seb and Raffy sitting together. Olivia stopped momentarily by their table "Good morning," she greeted the two warmly. The two didn't look that happy to he back, especially Raffy. Olivia herself wasn't particularly enthused either, especially since she would have to wake up early every day. She noticed Michael and Alana exchanging words a couple tables away, before she walked away from him. Things hadn't changed between him and Alana at all.

As Livy went and piled a plate full of food, her phone vibrated in her pocket.

From: Niklaus
"Hey beautiful, I'll see you no later than 8 in the main hall."

She smiled and quickly typed back a reply.

From: Olivia
"I beat you here, I'll save us a table. :)"
To: Niklaus

Finding an empty table, she gently set her tray down. She then sipped her coffee, which made her remember her schedule. 'I need to go back to my room and get it after breakfast,' she mentally noted. It was then that Niklaus walked into the cafeteria. Raising a hand, she waved him over.

[I'll have Nate's up soon :)]

Try as she might  Missy couldn't help but blush a little when Greyson said "Nothing wrong with being self-centered when you look that amazing, And as far as names, in case you forgot the gorgeous face that goes with my amazing name I'm Greyson and I'm a Sagittarius my sister Alex is a Scorpio."
She was about to ask him about the powers of a Sagittarius when Greyson shouted "hey Dex," She turned to see Dexted headed toward him. She rolled her eyes when he put his feet on the table "Hey man," He also greeted Alex, she got a short nod, Missy noted.

She resisted the urge to roll her eyes again when he focused on her "Hey Missy, your looking absolutely beautiful today," He said obviously tuning on the charm. She thought she'd play along to, though it was obvious he just wanted to be her first.
"Ease up Dex it's the girls first day," Greyson said, Missy discretely mouthed "Thanks," to him before shrugging. "It's fine, I already know Dex." She lightly pinched Dex's cheeks "He only likes me because I'm a virgin" She said nonchalantly, like she would if she was talking about the weather.

She glanced at the two boys and was suddenly glad she decided to come. Greyson was hot in that strong way. Dex was... Dex mischievously cute, and he had that Leo confidence that she so valued in herself, but let's be honest he's kinda a whore. She continued to peak sneaky glances at Greyson.

She shook both of those thoughts from her head, "Your not here for boys, " She chastised herself. She went to eat her pastry again but her hair, once again. got in her way. Her hair fell onto the table again, just barely missing her breakfast dessert. She turned to Dex " I Was asking if I should cut my hair." She glanced at her hair on the table, girls would kill for her hair, and those that had it payed thousands of dollars to maintain it. It seemed selfish to want to cut it. And there was no way in hell anyone would cut it for her. Stylist literally refused to, they said it was too valuable.

She turned to them, "Anyway there are a ton of things I have to do." She began to count them on her fingers "I have to unpack my room, I have to figure out a jogging route, I need to explore the campus, and I have to introduce myself to at least the majority of people here." She gasped for breath at the end realizing she didn't breath during her list. "Soooo who wants to help me and/or tag along?" She said prettily pouting, she bit her lip with anticipation.

Amelia raised her dark eyebrows at the boy in front of her. Why would he tell her that the chairs were for sitting when he was placed loud and clear on the table? "They are for sitting, I suppose," Amelia said to him. Mentally shrugging it off, she set her tray on the table, easing her way onto the chair. Her eyes followed the path of the apple, as it flew into the trash. She rolled her eyes slightly at the reaction of the guy in front of her, taking a bite out of her toast. It was still warm and she savored the taste on her tongue. Amelia looked around the room, seeing bacon and sausages. She slightly cringed, taking pride in being a vegetarian. She brushed a stray piece of hair behind her ear.

"Millie!" Amelia heard, grinning and knowing that only one person used that nickname on her. She stood up, seeing a familiar blonde haired girl. She smiled, "Oh my God, Lena! I haven't seen you in forever," she exclaimed, wrapping her friend in a hug. She was glad that Lena showed up on time, so that she wouldn't have to be in an awkward conversation with the curl-haired boy. Speaking of him, Amelia glanced back at him as he held his arms up in a humorous way, talking about chairs again. Amelia only meant to ask him that question in a formal way, but things always take an interesting turn for her.

When he finally sat down on a chair, Amelia sat down too, dragging Lena with her. "This year is going to be great," she smiled, also hoping to make some more friends. She knew Lena had some other friends, Circe and Ella but Amelia wasn't acquainted with them as well. She looked at the boy again, realizing that she forgot to introduce herself. "I'm Amelia," she said. "And this is Lena."

Alex Mayweather

Image

Alex only had time to barely see a girl walking towards her and Greyson before she was sucked into her own mind. Her vision became blurry and all she could hear were the ghosts in her head. This normally happened at night and very rarely during the day. Alex wasn't all that scared though, she knew it would be over in a matter of minutes. All of the ghosts began speaking at once and she could only make out a few words here and there. Alex waited for it to be over. Eventually in a matter of minutes it was and Alex's vision began to clear as she looked at the girl sitting across from them.

Alex only heard the last part of what Greyson was saying to her and she looked this girl up and down. All Alex could think was, damn. The girl was unbelievably hot but obviously straight. Alex could tell from the way she was blushing at Greyson. Alex was a bout to speak and tease her brother when she heard Dex call out to him. Alex and Dex were somewhat friends. They got along fairly well and that's all that really mattered. He sat down in the empty seat and nodded at her. "Hey man." ALex returned the nod. Dexter started flirting with the girl, whom he called Missy, and Alex couldn't help but smirk especially when Missy said he only wanted her for her virginity.

"I have to unpack my room, I have to figure out a jogging route, I need to explore the campus, and I have to introduce myself to at least the majority of people here." Alex raised an eyebrow at Missy knowing where this was going. "Soooo who wants to help me and/or tag along?" Alex put her hand on Greyson's shoulder. "I'm sure my brother would like to help being as it's obvious his obsessed with how attractive you are." Greyson glared at her and Alex just stuck her tongue out at him before proceeding. "If Dex over here wants to prove he's worthy of your virginity I am sure he will gladly help out to prove himself." Alex leaned back in her chair. "Or you could chose me and I will make an extra effort not to hit on you."

Lena bit her lip to keep from laughing at the curly-haired guy, but his antics after shooting the apple way caused a giggle to seep past her tight-pressed lips. She covered her mouth and a small blush dusted over her cheeks. Grinning and carefully moving her food out of the way, she accepted Amelia's hug.

"I know, right?" Alena responded to Amelia with gleeful eyes and a wide smile. "I've been so ready for this year. My brother worked so hard while I was gone last year just to boost up my wardrobe. I actually couldn't wait to wear something new for once." It was true. Alena never actually dressed up to impress anyone. She was never big into fashion, but maybe this year, she would put in an effort. Perhaps it was time to not look like the plain Jane of the group. Alena was brought from her musings by Amelia talking to the guy and she turned bright blue eyes his way.

"It's a pleasure to meet you."

Lauren Perry

“Morning sunshine! Ready for our first day of school?” Lauren was woken by a cheery voice, and even in her sleep addled state, she could hear the smirk in the voice. When the curtains were suddenly drawn back, she had to blink rapidly for her eyes to adjust to the bright sunlight now shining in her face. Sunlight; that was her first clue that her morning routine had been sabotaged. The second was the quick, horrified glance she sent her alarm clock; its red numbers glaring back at her that it was already 7:00am. For a moment, all Lauren could do was stare at it in a stupor, as if will power and indignation alone could make the offensive clock say 5:30am instead.

“I’m thinking leather jacket with that sexy red top I got us. It’ll look great with skinny jeans and our black buckle boots.” When Lauren looked up towards the voice, it was like looking in a mirror, but worse. Mirrors didn’t make corporeal slutty versions of yourself that seemed hell bent on ruining your life.

“What did you do?!Lauren bit out at her clone, accusation shining in her eyes.

“What? We needed sleep, big day and all that.” Her clone smiled innocently. Lauren didn’t buy the act for a second. Looking around the room, she also saw several of her color coded charts in disarray, her books were un-alphabetized, and several of the pictures on her wall were purposely hung crooked. Anxiety and anger warred within her briefly, and within seconds she was out of her bed, frantically trying to fix the damage.

“Oh come on now, none of that. You’re going to make us late if you keep that up.” Lauren’s clone pouted, arms crossed over her chest. Lauren turned to her and glared, entirely unamused. “Go away.” She bit out once she’d finished with the books. Lauren didn’t have time to argue with her look alike, she needed to get dressed and ready for class. She ended up grabbing a white lace shirt with a green cardigan. The fact they went with the same skinny jeans and black buckle boots was merely coincidental. She finished off by putting her hair up in some loose curls and a little light make-up.

“Jesus, why don’t you just write virgin on our forehead and get it over with.” Her clone said making a face from the side. Lauren ignored her, quickly gathering up her stuff and heading toward the door. When her clone made to follow, Lauren shot her a nasty look. “I said go away. You’ve done enough damage for one day thank you very much.”

Her clone rolled her eyes, but began fading away none the less. She did however get in one last parting shot. “Oh just wait until you see our locker.” She added with a wink. Tensing, Lauren practically sprinted out of the dormitory, and to her locker, and suppressed a scream of frustration when she saw what was inside. Paint was leaking out the bottom, her notebooks were ruined along with the planner that hung from the door, and though her school books had been spared the interior redecorating from their perch on the top shelf, they were still covered in silly string like the rest of her locker. There was no way she’d have time to clean this up before class started, so numbly she reached in for her books and headed towards the cafeteria. Once there, she grabbed a pile of napkins before waking up to and sitting down at the table with Greyson and Alex, as they were some of the only friends she had here. She was too out of it to really pay attention to the conversation going on, and mostly she just silently wiped at the silly string on her books, determined to clean them off before class.

Niklaus Venator

Niklaus bought himself a caramel latte before entering the cafeteria. Before he reached it, he felt his pone vibrate in his front pocket. Niklaus checked the screen to find a message from Olivia. It read: "I beat you here, I'll save us a table. :)" Niklaus angrily put his phone back in his pocket before searching through the crowd of people for Olivia. He hated being late for anything. Punctuality was always important in his family. Niklaus made a habit of always being on time or a few minutes early to anything to ensure that he wouldn't be late, except for today.

Niklaus noticed a hand raised in the air waving over to him and couldn't help but smile when he saw his best friend sitting at a table with a seat saved for him. For a moment Niklaus had forgotten why he had been upset earlier and nonchalantly walked over to the open seat next to Olivia. He sat down and placed his latte on the table after taking a drink and leaned backwards in his chair with his arm on Olivia's chair. Niklaus's grin changed to a smirk as he remembered why he had been angered. "You know I don't like being late." He said trying to sound as mean as possible, but it didn't work as well as he had planned. Niklaus has always had a hard time trying to stay angry at Olivia.

Niklaus decided to move on from his unfortunate late arrival and the smirk appeared again on his face. He looked her up and down like he was studying her like he had many times before. "Well, don't you look absolutely beautiful today. " He looks her up and down one more time. "Trying to impress a certain someone?" Niklaus made himself known for being charming. He normally just charmed various men and women to doing what he wants but with Olivia it was different. Niklaus would never use her, there was something about he that he just really liked and admired.

Niklaus dazed off staring at Olivia while he was lost in thought. He quickly snapped himself back to reality and decided to search the cafeteria for any potential victims. His eyes locked onto a table that Alex Mayweather was sitting at. The two of them were friends of some sort and occasionally slept together. Sitting next to her was her older brother Greyson whom hated Niklaus with a passion. Niklaus doesn't care much for him either and the two stay out of each others way. Across the table he spotted a girl who looked like she could be a model and a rather cute boy trying to woo her. Niklaus then noticed a girl sitting next to Greyson. SHe seemed rather quiet and easy to manipulate. Niklaus kept his gaze at her with a sly smirk on his face gaining himself a rather murderous glare from Greyson.

A bit of an impatient look at his watch, and it was made obvious to Seamus that he would need to commence this small meeting without the other teachers who were supposed to be here, but may or may not have forgotten. He would rely on those within the room to relay the rest of his message. "As you know, this year has been something of a rocky start, it must not have been pleasant having your powers awaken so suddenly...unlike us, the students attending the Academy have no honest perception of what they'll face, and how they'll need to train during the forthcoming months, I'll be acting as home teacher for a good amount of the students who'll be attending to familiarize myself with their problems. You simply do what you're best at as teachers, time will only tell why the Eclipse has returned. Anyways, we'll spend the day getting acquainted with the students, maybe give them a little bit of an assignment. You know the drill.." he took another sip from his coffee as the bell for first period rung. He gather the jacket behind him laying on the counter, bowed his head slightly to make it known that he was off and took to room 2B of on the first floor. From there, he opened the door to his classroom watching as dust particles flowed around in the sunlight streaming through the shuttered windows. It had been a while since he had the grace of being inside this room, and he enjoyed the uniqueness of the wooden desks and floor, different from most of the rooms you'd find here, it almost had a Victorian feel to it, something that was wise and earthen. He set his coffee down on the empty top of the wooden desk, and laid his jacket next to it, then sat on top of the desk leaning. Perhaps he wanted his students to have more of a causal view of him, he wasn't sure, but he didn't have any desire to sit in a chair just yet. The other teahcers could have stayed in the teacher's lounge, waitng for the next period to start, or whatever would consume their hour before the day really got started. At the very least, Seamus would be a familliar face to the students now looking to journey towards his class.

"Bout that time to go, huh?"

Hearing the bell go off, Zhayne rose form his seat with his tray, as Rae let her cold oatmeal slip off her spoon and back into the plastic plate below. The meal was visited with silence, apparently, Rae wasn't one to talk, and Zhayne didn't really mind but it would have been nice to have someone to converse with seeing as how the cafe was slowly filling with more and more tables, they were the only ones alone. Zhayne out a hand through the long locks of his hair and made his way to the trash bin to throw away the uneaten food, he wasn't attuned to the normal breakfast served here. He let his bookbag sling over his shoulder, and anticipated Rae being not too close behind. Maybe they had the same class, he wouldn't bother asking if that was the case as other students followed right out of the exit to the cafeteria, therefore it was difficult to see if she was still following or not. He took the now crumpled scedule out of his pocket, and spotted the first room he needed to make his way to. "2b....on the first floor" he repeated to himself, and before long after making sure he was down the right hallway, he was the first at the door to the class, and went ahead and twisted the dorrknob and let himself in. When he looked forward he paused for a moment, not realizing that the teacher was already there. He duly took note of his presence. "Sit wherever you like, class starts when everyone gets here." Zhayne nodded, and then sat at the nearest available chair, letting his feet slide lazily under the desk and tapped his fingers on the wooden frame. "What a way to start hm?' he thought to himself.

Image
Image

Zhayne was a little disarming, not in the physical way or anything, or in an attractive way. She just couldn't find the words to say to them, it was peculiar, you could almost say the way she ate while Zhyane was next to her, was almost in a bashful manner. It didn't matter anyway, she didn't normally feel this way around anyone else, but it finally felt nice to have a different reaction to someone else. She took her food with her and pretty much repeated Zhayne's actions as far as throwing away her food, once out of the cafe, she decided to take a walk around, and actually get a little acquainted with the surrounding of the Academy, which was nothing sort of spectacular considering it's structure of a castle. Not many places could boast architecture like this, everything felt authentic, a little ghostly, eerie even, the presence of people walking around made it feel right, but even then the castle never really lost it's magic. Sooner or later, she found herslef lost in an unknown corridor, having already trailed the stairs, she took a detour from the second floor without realizing it, and landed back on the first. From then on, as she looked at her schedule she noted that she was close to the door of her homeroom, but going in wasn't at all on her priority list. Instead, she decided to wait outside the door for other students whoever had the jitters like she did.
