LIKES
Candy; it's her obsession. Also why she's always so hyper.
Fire; naturally. She loves setting herself on fire, or people near her, since they can feel the heat but don't actually get burnt.
Zombies; scary? what? Zombie-everything is the best, mostly because she finds them more amusing than scary.
Judging People; yeah, she looks like a bitch. Raffy has this bad habit of calling 'em like she see's 'em, literally. Without even getting to know them. Because she really just does not care what people think about her or letting them hear what she thinks of them.
Running/Climbing; super-speed bitches! She loves being fast, though it means she can't be on the track or cross country team anymore. Apparently it's an "unfair advantage"
Her Birthday; not a joke! People liked to tease her and say she was just a "joke", being born on April Fools Day

DISLIKES
Earthies; hufflepuffs of the muffle world. She doesn't like how sensitive and soft they can seem to be.
Shyness; get over it! Shy people are only looking for attention, in her opinion.
Weakness; we all have 'em, you have more. People who seem to not be able to get anything done themselves.
School; i'm already smart! It's true though, Sera is incredibly smart and hates having to attend classes. She usually skips.
Idiots; seriously?
Equality; no one is equal.

FAVORITE POWER
Being able to create explosions, even if they're only little ones right now. They're fun for her. Like making a box of those crackle-pops that you get around the 4th of July explode.

SKILLS
Writing, playing guitar, and composing her own music. Though she can't sing.

PERSONALITY
Her primary mode of living is focused internally, where she deals with things rationally and logically. Her secondary mode is external, where she take things in via her five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. She has a compelling drive to understand the way things work. Good at logical analysis, she likes to use it on practical concerns. Typically having strong powers of reasoning, although she's not interested in theories or concepts unless she can see a practical application. She likes to take things apart and see the way they work. Serafina is fiercely independent, needing to have the space to make her own decisions about her next step. She does not believe in or follow rules and regulations, as this would prohibit her ability to "do her own thing". Her sense of adventure and desire for constant action makes her prone to becoming bored rather quickly. Although she does not respect the rules of the "System", she follows her own rules and guidelines for behavior faithfully. She will not take part in something which violates her personal laws.

She likes and needs to spend time alone, because this is when she can sort things out in their minds most clearly. She absorbs large quantities of impersonal facts from the external world, and sort through those facts, making judgments, when she is alone. Lights is an action-oriented person. She likes to be up and about, doing thing, which means she won't sit behind a desk all day and do long-range planning. Adaptable and spontaneous, she responds to what is immediately before her. She usually has strong technical skills, and can be a effective technical leader. She does not pay attention to her own feelings, and even distrust them and try to ignore them, because she has difficulty distinguishing between emotional reactions and value judgments. This may be a problem area for her.

When over-stressed, she may exhibit rash emotional outbursts of anger, or on the other extreme may be overwhelmed by emotions and feelings which she feels compelled to share with people (often inappropriately). When down on herself she will foray into the world of value judgments - a place which is not natural for the her - and judge herself by the inability to perform some task. Raffy will then approach the task in a grim emotional state, expecting the worst.

MISCELLANEOUS
Likes most of the male teachers.

So begins...

Raffy Furier

Serafina definitely hated first days. Who didn't though? If you didn't include those awkward freaks that didn't have a life and were oh so excited to get back to school and see their friends again, no one liked first days of school. They were boring, almost always. And there was always that one weird teacher that tried to make it fun by acting like they were one of them, or trying to pull some sort of prank or something, and really it just made it awkward for everyone else. Though she supposed it might be different here, it had to be different here. Besides, she had first period History, and though she probably knew the curriculum already... at least Mr. Blackwater would be there. He was a cool teacher, she had decided, not in the way that made it awkward but just that he wasn't totally boring. And she sort of liked him. Since they moved into the academy once they got their powers, she had gotten to know the teachers, sort of like how everyone else had. And Sage was someone she had really gotten to know. Though right now, that wasn't whom she was trying to find.

Raffy had sent her best friend Seb a text this morning, one that simply told him that; Your ass better be in the cafe by seven thirty! She knew many people had been up at six that morning, getting ready or just from nerves, but as usual she had woken up at seven and then stayed in bed another fifteen minutes, leaving her with five minutes to get ready before she had to leave to meet her bestie. Her hair was in a loose plait, which she had done the previous night after showering so it would be easy to manage in the morning. Turns out it was a good choice, and when she brushed through it it was left with a gently wave and there were still streaks of dark orange from it being wet, but she didn't mind. Picking out an outfit was easy too, very light pink distressed skinny jeans and a cute white, sleeveless top that was held up by her chest- she would have to remember not to slouch when she sat that day, didn't want to accidentally flash anyone.

Surprisingly, she left her room sort of happy, even though her feet were killing in the black and tan sandals she wore. Maybe she was dressed up a little bit to impress Seb, or even Sage, and who knew what other boys would decide to take a liking to her this year? Either way, it was a huge change from her usual hoodie-and-hottopic-jeans default, which would probably be what she was outfitted in for the rest of the year. And it wasn't like she had the most attractive attitude either, so she didn't understand why she had had so much luck with guys in the past. It must have been the rare days that she did wear nice things, or just that she was a total bitch and "hard to get", as she had been told. Suppose she was though, but she had no idea why that was a turn-on for some guys. Raffy wasn't even at the cafeteria yet when she pressed call on her cell, not knowing if Seb was there already or not.

Kotabear Marks

There were three people on campus that Dakota Marks had "marked" as hot. First was Dexter Abrams, his roommate. The guy was smokin', and incredibly straight, but that did not stop him from flirting with the guy at any chance he got. Which was like always, because Kota just had a talent for it, and for making other people feel awkward. That wasn't even surprising though, he was the most openly gay kid ever, yet he flirted with the female population on a regular basis and mainly focused on making everyone feel really uncomfortable all the time, especially all the straight guys. Then there was another aspect of him, the one that wanted all the attention and didn't care how he got it. There were times when he made a fool of himself just to get a laugh out of people. Actually, that occurrence wasn't entirely uncommon. People liked him, people found him funny, it was easy to act like a dumbass to please people. Not to say he was a people pleaser, he cared little of what other thought of him, he just liked being the class clown. It was easier for him than actually being himself and trying to make friends, because in that case he would have probably never made any friends at all.

He was one of those kids that were up at six in the morning. It didn't matter that he had taken a shower the previous night, he needed another one. Shameless, Kota walked around their dorm in his boxers, which were considerably tight and short. More boxer-briefs than anything. It was such a disappointment though that Dex wasn't even the slightest bit gay, because being roommates with a gay guy could have really been used to his benefit. When in class did he have the chance to run around in his boxers? Uh, yeah, never. Though he was looking forward to the locker rooms before Defense, he would at least get to walk around in his boxers then. It wasn't like he was creepy about it or anything, but he had no shame in checking other boys out either. It wasn't even weird, guys checked girls out all the time, right? That was like him, it didn't mean he wanted to date every single guy or something, and fortunately it seemed that most of the boys there had understood that. Or at least were trying to.

The other two sexy people were Zhayne Spencer and Nathan Veris. Though he rarely knew Zhayne, he knew the guy was hot, and the rest just didn't really matter. As for Nathan, it was the same situation, but Nathan was hot in a different kind of way. Zhayne had that sort of mysterious, sexy bad boy attraction to him, and Nathan had the nice, gentlemanly boy attraction. Even with the temperament, though he would admit the whole fire thing just made him a little hotter- irony, hah.

A little bit later and he was back in the room with just briefs, dancing around to music that he was providing with his own voice, and searching for clothes. In the end he had slipped on a pair of black skinny jeans that were tighter than skin, and a white tattered shirt. "Dexter, are you still here?" He called, flopping back onto his bed. He had to get to homeroom by eight thirty, and it was probably going on seven thirty now. If Dex was there, he would probably ask to walk with him, considering he was a little bit nervous about first class. If not, he would wing it. After a little bit he grabbed his phone and slipped a pair of headphones onto his neck, heading out anyways in the direction on the cafeteria. Unfortunately when he got there, there was no one he knew, and he ended up just lazing about at his own table with his feet up on another and BMTH playing loudly from his headphones.

Sebastian had already been awake that morning when his phone buzzed, alerting him to an incoming message. It wasn't because of the first day of school... it never intimidated him. He was just an early riser. He always wondered why kids were so nervous about the first day more than the week of finals. It just didn't make sense. He opened his messages to see that it was from none other than Raffy, his best friend. It read: Your ass better be in the cafe by seven thirty! He just chuckled to himself, setting the phone down and not even sending her a response. He knew that she would be lucky to make it there by seven thirty. She had a knack for sleeping in until the latest possible second.

He had woken up to go on a short run, about thirty minutes or so. He showered when he got back, leaving his hair to air dry. Of course, that didn't take very long, so it was already dry, hanging straight and giving him bangs that hung to the right. He was cleanly shaven for his first day, and while he didn't necessarily care about looking nice for anyone, he did want to look professional. He had chosen a grey and blue plaid shirt with black skinny jeans and a pair of nice, black tennis shoes. Simple, nice looking, and not overdone. It was perfect. He liked to be taken seriously, not so much by his fellow students, but by the teachers. Getting his peers to take him seriously was practically impossible. He certainly had one of the oldest souls. He didn't rush around to make it to the cafeteria on time, and had just finished packing his books by the time the clock read seven thirty. He slung the bag over his shoulder, double checked that he had everything, then left his room. It looked as clean as if no one had been sleeping in it at all.

He walked down the halls at a comfortable pace, waving at those he passed, saying some general hellos. Upon reaching the cafeteria, he was surprised to see Raffy standing in front of him, eagerly scanning the room for him. She had actually made it on time. He'd have to bake her a cookie or something, he thought with a smile. He felt his phone begin to vibrate in his pocket, and he fished it out of his pocket to realize that it was his best friend calling. With a grin, he answered, staying silent. Then, he quietly snuck up behind her, leaning in to whisper into her ear. "Hello babe," he said softly, backing up in anticipation of her being startled.

He watched her from behind, his beautiful best friend. Her hair was in loose curls today, and she was dressed in light pink pants and a light, white sleeveless top. She looked stunning, he thought, and most likely she was trying to impress someone. Most certainly not him, since he'd seen her in sweats more times than he could count. He didn't exactly know what it was that glued them together, but it was something strong. He wasn't sure if it was the fact that they balanced each other out, or their differences kept things new and interesting. Many people tended to get the wrong idea about the pair, thinking they were dating instead of just best friends. He called her babe frequently, it was his nickname for her, and they spent a majority of their free time together. Except when she had a new boy toy to play with. But those never lasted long. And yet, they had never attempted anything themselves. I mean, he was certainly attracted to her. She was drop dead gorgeous. But they had a friendship that he couldn't lose. And he had never really thought about her in that way.

He put his hand on the small of her back and led her to a table, taking a seat only after she did. "So, what did you do last night?" he asked, genuinely curious. And then he followed up with "Are you excited for class this morning?" which was just a formality, since he already knew she most certainly wasn't.

Serafina Furier

Serafina hadn't been in a relationship that lasted any longer than a few weeks, maybe a month if they were especially entertaining. It wasn't really a flaw, at least she didn't count it as one, though she knew she had a lot of them. Instead she just saw it as... She hadn't found the right one yet, hadn't found someone that she actually wanted to make a relationship work with. For now then, she was happy with just messing around a bit, having fun while she could. More often than not it was the guy that left her, since she didn't ever try very hard in a relationship. That's sort of how she was in all aspects of her life though- friendships, work, school. People either figured it out and learned to deal with it, or decided she wasn't worth their time. As for school, people had always told her that she could have probably graduated as valedictorian if she had actually tried, but she hadn't- hardly ever did her homework. It didn't matter to her though, it never had, but after the eclipse she had become less and less concerned with certain affairs. Especially relationships, she hadn't "dated" anyone in a few months.

As for her relationship with Sebastian though, she really had no idea how he put up with her at all. They seemed like, no they were, complete opposites. Raffy just wanted to have fun and Seb seemed to have a stick up his ass half the time. Somehow they made it work though, balanced each other out or maybe just drove each other crazy. The first few months she had known him though, she wouldn't let him see her unless she was at her best, maybe searching for some sort of approval from him. Even if he always complimented her and was there to help whenever she needed it, she was pretty sure he was like that for most people and wanted something else. After realizing she wasn't going to get that though, she sort of stopped trying, letting him see her in sweats and when her hair wasn't done, even without make-up. Anyone who knew Raffy would agree when she said she was complex, more so than most females combined. Within minutes she could change her mind about something, but she would still fight that she was right even if she knew she was wrong. And while most people tried for something they wanted, she sort of expected it to be given to her, and if it wasn't she forgot about it. Had this talent of being incredibly emotionally detached from most situations.

Her cell stopped ringing a few moments later. "Where are you?" There wasn't any answer though, but the familiar beep of an ended call didn't come so he had to still be listening. "Seb, I swear to-" She jumped as her best friend seemed to suddenly materialize beside her, flipping around and reaching out to slap his chest but he had moved out of reach, obviously expecting it. Golden red sparks danced on her fingertips and as soon as she realized it, she pulled her hand back and frowned down at it, feeling embarrassed. She still had little control over her powers, and they loved acting up at the worst times possible. The sparks disappeared though a moment later, and she gave a sigh of relief. One night they wouldn't go away, and she had spent the whole night with her arms elbow-down on fire, terrified.

"Jerk," she muttered, even as she leaned up on her toes to kiss his cheek, probably another factor that was related to the whole dating-rumor. It was her way of greeting, like his petname for her was 'babe'. Raffy let him lead her into the cafe and over to a table, where she sat down at perfectly graceful as always, crossing her ankles and moving them to the side of her body. In junior high she had practically trained herself to do things like that, having been obsessed with being popular- now she didn't care though. Still, it was like second nature and it wasn't like it was a bad thing. "Last night? Mostly slept, you know, like normal people." She smirked, then returned the question. "So excited. It's always been my dream to be shoved back into High School at twenty." Raffy rolled her eyes, a bad habit that she seemingly had only around Seb. She was more or less a lady around strangers and adults.

Olivia awoke to the screeching sound of her alarm clock, signaling the start of her day. She reached a hand out from under her blankets and shut it off, and her room was once again filled with silence. Sunlight filtered in trough the window, the morning rays lighting up the room with a pale orange glow. Groggily, she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She took a moment preparing herself to get up, before slowly sliding out from under the comforter. It was slightly chilly as she left the comfort of her bed. She quickly padded into the bathroom and brushed her teeth, following through with her morning routine. She then turned on the water and took a hot shower, letting the heat relax her. For some reason, she preferred hot showers to cold, or even warm ones.

By the time Olivia got out, the mirrors were covered in fog, and steam curled around in the air. Since she decided to wash her hair too, it was soaked. With a small movement, she drained the water out, and sent it into the tub. Now her hair was completely dry. She went to her closet to pick out what to wear. She had arrived back at academy late the day before, and stayed up unpacking everything. Her clothes were hung neatly in the closet, and all her belongings were put away or up on the walls and shelves. She settled on pretty simple outfit. It consisted of a light blue sweater over leggings and cute fold over combat boots. A necklace with an intricate crab pendant hung permanently around her neck, and she put on a small blue bracelet to match her sweater.

Satisfied, Olivia left her dorm room and headed to the cafeteria hall. Since this wasn't her first year, she could navigate through the academy pretty well, though she still ended up getting lost sometimes. It was easy to lose your way in the large castle. Her first year had been a fiasco. She was late to a lot of classes because she had such a hard time finding them. Hopefully, this year would be different.

In the food hall, she spotted Seb and Raffy sitting together. Olivia stopped momentarily by their table "Good morning," she greeted the two warmly. The two didn't look that happy to he back, especially Raffy. Olivia herself wasn't particularly enthused either, especially since she would have to wake up early every day. She noticed Michael and Alana exchanging words a couple tables away, before she walked away from him. Things hadn't changed between him and Alana at all.

As Livy went and piled a plate full of food, her phone vibrated in her pocket.

From: Niklaus
"Hey beautiful, I'll see you no later than 8 in the main hall."

She smiled and quickly typed back a reply.

From: Olivia
"I beat you here, I'll save us a table. :)"
To: Niklaus

Finding an empty table, she gently set her tray down. She then sipped her coffee, which made her remember her schedule. 'I need to go back to my room and get it after breakfast,' she mentally noted. It was then that Niklaus walked into the cafeteria. Raising a hand, she waved him over.

[I'll have Nate's up soon :)]
