In the underground world of Atlantic City, a secret organization, called Olympus uses it's power over economics to run the world. All was well until it's favorite son defected by killing it's leader...so it was said.

Having been proven too difficult to catch, the new leader had his team of scientists kidnap a young woman, Lola Cervantes and turn her into the perfect killing machine calling it Project Trickshot. Infused with nanites, she was meant to get close to him, charm him enough that she could kill him. Problem was, something went wrong, and she woke up before they could program the nanites for their prime directive, and with their help, Lola escaped.

Now these two will come together in the fight for revenge against Olympus.

Maxson nearly shot her a warning look. That would have been a far bigger tell, however, and instead he grinned wolfishly.

"I'll be in contact, cinnamon." He spun on his heel and set off towards the other side of the earthen mound at a jog. He didn't bother to try and sneak around. There would be no use in that. His mind ticked off the distance until he knew he had tripped the seismic motion sensors in place around the compound. In the next five seconds he would be under drone surveillance. There would be no mistaking his trademarked duster streaming behind him. No mistaking the smile plastered on his face. The smile of a wolf, of a predator with the scent of fresh blood in his nostrils.

He threw back the side of his duster, gripping the MSMC firmly, bringing up into a ready position as he flicked the safety off. As he progressed closer to the mound, the ground suddenly seemed to fall away from in front of him. There was no cover. There was no where to run except into the opening maw of combat. The camouflaged entrance of the compound fell away, giving way to a descending concrete roadway, allowing vehicular travel to and from the main gate underground. Several armed IES agents were already present, positions of cover taken behind armored Humvees.

"Shit." Maxson had time to curse, before a fusilade of lead chased at his trailer duster where he'd stood a moment before. He felt hot lead rip through his flowing garment, felt the scorching heat and then the rising tide of pain as another skimmed over his ribcage. He didn't feel it break, and had escaped with a painful but bloody graze. He gritted his teeth, dropping into a slide as he transferred his momentum forward.

Sliding on concrete was far from optimum, and he wouldn't be carried far or for very long. He wasted no time as he reached into his duster and palmed a surprise from the stash he secreted away in his safehouse. The disk shaped stunner flew in a tight trajectory, propelled by his expert arm and the proper snap of his wrist. It detonated in the descending tunnel with a satisfying concussive bang that hurt Maxson's ears, despite his covering them at the last second.

He didn't have time to waste as he rose to his feet, pumping hard with his toned legs, closing the distance between himself and the momentarily disabled gunners.

"I'll be in contact, Cinnamon." He said and Lola rolled her eyes. Fair enough. She turned the UCD and had the nanites memorize the map. Once finished, she popped a stick of gum in her mouth before waltzing toward the building like there was no manana.
Image

She walked up to the place, avoiding the cameras with little effort, watching the outside.
{CCTV, LEFT IN TWO HUNDRED YARDS} Lola would duck, dodge and turn at each instruction.
Image

Soon she found the A/C unit, and followed with her eyes where the intake duct lead. "How in the happy hell am I going to get up there?" She asked herself, watching how the duct went straight up the wall. The nanites gave her no help on that, so she had to go at it alone.

She found herself and opening, and preyed to whatever God that was listening that either it was big enough for her ,or she was skinny enough to fit in.

She took a deep breath and climbed inside. She pulled herself up, and spidered her body from end to end. It would have been easier to hop, but she'd make way too much noise so she had to go hand over foot. It took forever but finally she was in the building. Problem was, she was still get passed the spinning turbine.

"Guys..." She called. "Uh, Help?"
Her eyes then darted to and fro, scanning the turbine for weak points and then focused on the one that had a slight bend in the blade. She knew what she would have to do but she didn't like it, not at all.

"Ya'll do realize I feel pain right?" She asked the nanties, who were characteristically silent. She moved to the turbine, and tried to follow the blade. It was like watching a ceiling fan, every so often her eyes would spin at the same speed at the turbine and could single out a blade. Problem was, it was move so fast, she couldn't hold it for too long. She knew she was just going to have to do it.

Taking a deep breath, and caught the blade in her vision, and the moment she did, she kicked it. Hard. Bending the blade backward. The Turbine whined, but still spin, even with the bent blade, but now there was a large enough hole that if she timed it right, she could dive through it. It would much easier if the duct wasn't the size of a shoebox. She managed to get to her knees, bent so low that her knees were in her chest. She watched the hole, timing her jump carefully, before diving through it, like a bullet.
Unfortunately, she hadn't taken into account her height, and the turbine clipped her foot, violently tweaking her ankle. With an annoyed grimace, she finished climbing through the duct, and with the nanties help, she found the Security room. She could see through the grate that there were two armed guards inside, which she found oddly ironic. The Security room only had two guards outside, armed or not, it should be the most secure area of the building. Ah well...

She pulled the grate open, and quietly dropped down, but the pain in her ankle made her fall sloppy so she didn't stick the landing. She barely had time the registered the pain before she was staring down the barrel of two guns.

"Hey...I was just looking for ladies room...." She said and the looked at each other confused. That was all the time she needed. She got to her feet, by grabbing the wrists of both men, using them to propel her forward and them back. Once standing, she turned, with a swift back kick to the man on her left, and ducking to dodge the man on her right, she send a powerful fist to his gut, only for her to narrowly miss a haymaker from the man on her left. She found it odd that they hadn't fired but that was good for her, bad for them. She was grabbed from behind by the man on her right, while the man that was on her left, guarded up, it didn't matter as she kicked him hard with both feet, knocking the man that held her down as well as the one before her. They all fell to the ground in a heap, but only Lola was fast enough to get up, pull her weapon, and fire, two shots to each head.

That was a mistake. They needed the stealth. "Shit..."She groaned before got to the blast doors and tried to get through it. "Max...."She groaned before squatted, and hefted the door.

{WARNING OVEREXXARTION IMMENNIT}
Image

"Kiss my trangentic ass...." she groaned as she slid the door up and open, she tumbled inside before it slammed back down. Her muscles screamed but she was in. Finally, she heard the boom."Oh now he does it...." She groaned.

"Open communications with Maxson." She told the nanties, as she looked around, there were a lot of blinking lights, servers, and about a million things she didn't know operated what and while she had half a mind to just start shooting shit, she figured this needed to be handled with a certain amount of finesse.

"Max, I'm in, what do I do?" She asked, but she wasn't sure if he could hear her.

Maxson leapt into the air from a full sprint. His body was as toned as any athlete. He drew knees to his chest, landing on the elevated hood of an armored Humvee. The IES Agents were already pulling themselves together, lifting their rifles to track and engage. The disk hadn't exploded anywhere near close enough to cause them debilitating harm, but it had let Maxson close the distance. Now, as he brought the MSMC online, he became his element. War.

He leapt from the Humvee, his shoulder crashing into the nearest Agent. He bent his legs, absorbing the impact of his landing. Muzzle flashes, the sound of gunfire. The wall of the tunnel cracked under multiple impacts as slugs flew over his head. The wild burst would have been a lucky one if not for a moment of serendipity. It was enough. He trigged a five round burst from the SMG. The 5.56mm rounds stitched the IES Agent from the groin to his chest, shredding his manhood, intestines, and heart along the way. They tore through his body armor like paper, and he collapsed to the ground, shuddering as life left him.

Maxson was already tracking left, rolling from his previous position as more gunfire erupted. Sparks and particles of concrete filled the air, the din becoming deafening as Maxson fired as he scrambled. Two of his rounds got lucky, finding an Agent's ankle and shattering bone, sending him crashing to the floor. Maxon was behind another Humvee, putting the armored engine block between himself and the gunners. He was outnumbered severely, and he wasn't going to survive an extended firefight.

They were a part of his program. He knew them better than they knew themselves. He closed his eyes, focusing. The gunfire was less intense. There was less ringing in his eyes, and the firing pattern was spread. Chunks of concrete kicked up on both sides of him. He felt the vibrations of the impact, felt the particles striking his duster, his face. They were pinning him. A flanking maneuver was obvious, but from what side? He was right-dominant, and the angle he was at favored that side. They'd hit from the left, where he'd have to twist his body around to attempt to fire back at them. He palmed a second explosive from inside his duster. Another disk, this time packed with high explosive. He activated the five second timer, which would trigger an electrical impulse to detonate the plastic explosive within. Time to change the angle.

He slid the disk under the Humvee with a hard flick of his wrist. It slid across the concrete, sliding out from the other side of the vehicle just as he covered his ears. It detonated violently, the shockwave crushing the men nearest it, expanding outwards and shaking the tunnel, rocking the Humvee and smashing glass. The men flanking him were rocked from behind, stumbling or falling to their knees. He rose, letting the MSMC dangle from its strap as he drew a ten-inch blade from its ankle sheathe. He spun around the left corner of the Humvee, grabbing the nearest opponent and arcing the blade up under his chin. It punched through the bottom of his jaw, penetrating the bottom of his palette and skewering his tongue, before punching up through the roof of his mouth.

He stared at Maxson in abject horror, blood pouring from his ruined mouth, running down onto Maxson's wrist. With his free hand, he drew and fielded the Five-Seven pistol. He tracked left, pulling the trigger three times. Despite the relatively small size of the rounds, they were hot loads that exploded with the sound of a much larger weapon in their confines. An Agent had been struggling to bring his weapon back online, but now was rocked back by the impact of two rounds punching through his chest armor, and a third penetrating his throat with ease. He stumbled backwards, clutching at his throat as he began to choke on his own blood.

He wrenched the blade free, putting one round into the man's head for good measure as he pushed him aside. In the same motioned he stepped into the second nearest combatant. He seemed to get his wits back quicker, and swung the PDW at Maxson's head. Maxson ducked under it, barreling into the man's midsection and driving him backwards several steps. He struck, one, twice, three times. The blade sank in between the Agent's body armor, skewering his liver with one strike. Maxson shouldered up under his chin, knocking the man's teeth together as he leveled the Five-Seven over his shoulder, firing at a fourth target.

The rounds punched through his body armor at such close range, Maxson pumping five into his chest to make sure the job was done.

"JUST DIE YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" An angry voice cried out to his right. Shit, he'd missed one. He spun the dying man around, ducking again just under his waist, driving him forwards as the gunner opened fire. His fusillade cut his dying comrade apart, several of the rounds punching through both sides of the body armor and tumbling out over Maxson's lowered profile. Maxson dived out and away from the meat shield, firing wildly as he slammed to the floor. Most of his rounds went wide, but one struck the gunner's shoulder. It wasn't dead on, slicing the flesh apart and hurtling away rather than smashing bone. It was enough to throw off the last of his aim, and his weapon's bolt slammed into the open position.

The slide was locked back on his Five-Seven. For a moment, the two Agents stared at each other. Then the other drew his knife. Maxson pushed himself to his feet as his opponent charged in, skidding to a halt just outside of striking distance. He stepped in expertly, swiping at Maxson's throat. Maxson counter-stepped, leaning away and retaliating with both arms. His free hand pushed the Agent's arm into his counter-swipe, his blade cleaving through supportive ligaments in his upper arm. The Agent cried out, blood pouring down his now crippled arm.

Maxson stepped forward, pressuring him with several tight swipes. Unable to switch hands fast enough, he was forced to raise his good arm and suffered multiple lacerations, trying desperately to protect his body. Maxson swept at the Agent's wounded knife hand, knocking the weapon from his weakening fingers. He lifted his boot, planting a toe kick straight into his opponent's testicles, flattening them against his pelvis. The man dropped to his knees in a silent scream, his eyes reflecting the horrifying truth that they all knew. He'd lost. Maxson pressed the blade against the man's throat, shaking his head in disappointment before pressing in and drawing it swiftly across. A torrent of blood began to spill out as he severed arteries and veins. The man's pain would be over quickly, and Maxson wiped his blade clean on the Agent's shoulder. He sheathed it, reloading his weapons and proceeding down the tunnel.

"Cinnamon, if you're reading this, it would be real nice if you could deactivate the turrets waiting to rip me apart just inside these blast doors. Then, if you could, open them. 'Kay thanks. You are in the Sec Room, right? You should be able to see me on the camera!" He waved, smiling. He suddenly tasted blood, then realised he was covered in it. Huh.

Lola felt the comm activate in her ear. "Okay ow..." She groaned before she listened to the message.

You are in the Sec Room, right? You should be able to see me on the camera!" He said and she turned to the computer monitor, and saw him in black and white, waving to the camera. She was actually happy to see him. It was weird, but she couldn't deny it.

"Guys, open comm?" She told the nanties and she could hear him breathing in her ear. "Oh my god, it worked! awesome, Okay, anyway, I'm opening the door...I think..."She said, and got to pressing buttons on the dashboard, most everything was blinking and nothing was labeled, so she had to go with her gut. The Nanties were being dicks at the moment. "The nanties aren't cooperating at the moment....They won't tell me what anything is.....but I think I found one that looks promising...." She said and sure enough as she pressed the big blinking green button, the blast doors opened. "Oh yay." She said, glad she didn't set off a nuclear bomb or something. With Olympus anything is possible.

Maxson glared with intense eyes, watching the doors begin to slide open. The claxon wail of the door's alarms echoed in his ears, which were still ringing from the abuse they'd taken in his battle. Something stirred inside him. An instinct, a sense all warriors seemed to develop. He stepped to the side of the blast doors, sliding up against the wall of the tunnel. He drew his pistol again, working the slide and chambering the first round of his fresh magazine. As the doors slid open, the barrel of a gun poked through. It hesitated, as if confused as to how to proceed next.

Finally, more of the gun cautiously proceeded into the tunnel, bringing a body with it. There was second to his left, covering his flank. Both men looked upon the destruction in the tunnel with disbelief, an emotion soon replaced with terror. Maxson lunged from his corner, seizing the barrel of the nearest weapon and pulling it towards him, twisting his body out of the line of fire as he brought the Five-Seven up and pressed the barrel against the man's temple. The pistol roared once more. A pink mist of pulverized bone and grey matter exploded from the hole that opened in the other side of his head. It splashed, hot and wet, over his companion. He froze just long enough for Maxson to let the corpse drop and line up his next shot.

The next round punched into the second Agent's throat, the passage of the bullet ruining his esophagus. The kinetic transfer of energy was mere overkill as he dropped his weapon, forgetting to retaliate in his bloody state of asphyxiation. He dropped to a knee, tracking back beyond the doors for more targets. There were none. This wasn't right.

"Cinnamon... How secure is your position right now?"
