Project Trickshot
Alignment: Hero/ Antihero
Race:Latina/Bionic
Gender:Female
Age:24
Hair Color:Brown, Sometimes Blonde
Eye Color:Black
Height:5’7
Weight:140lbs
Appearance:
Lolly is a dark eyed beauty with warm brown skin, dark hair and a slender frame. She is often seen in leather biker jacket, jeans and a plain dark top with converses, when she is Trickshot, she is almost always wearing leather pants, military boots, sunglasses (even at night), fingerless and arm bands. Her hair is always in unbound tresses and she never leaves home without a gun of some sort strapped to her hip.
Personality:
Lolly is a quick witted, sharp tongue girl who doesn't have much of a filter. She says whatever is on her mind, good or bad and does not care how is makes someone feel as long as it is the truth. She displays an aire of confidence to hide her insecurities, one of the many being her former employment. She uses sarcasm and dark humor to hide her real emotions, except anger. She has a predisposition towards violence, and has no problem throwing a punch, or whatever’s close. That being said, Lolly can be sweet, and even a bit playful and is deep inside a good person. She tries to hide that fact but overall she’s looking out for the greater good. Even if that means putting a bullet in the head of the bad guys.

Quirks/Habits:
When Lolly gets annoyed or being impatient, she taps her foot, (if she’s sitting) she shakes her leg.
When she’s on the cusp of hitting someone during an argument, e.i angry, her nostrils flare and like a bull, she expels air from her nose.
She cocks her head to the side when she’s confused.

Hopes/Dreams:
Her hopes used to be to become a professional dancer but now, all she hopes for is to find and kill the man who made her what she is.
Likes/Dislikes:
She likes dancing, music, going to a shooting range, her motorcycle and collecting guns.
She dislikes repeating herself, being underestimated, being what she is.
Fears:
Her powers corrupting her.

Powers
Image
Superpower(s): Adoptive Muscle Memory-The ability to perfectly mimic any movement after a single observation.
Expert Aim- Basically, she doesn’t miss.
Nanite Manipulation- sub: peak human condition- After Nanties were grafted to her blood, she focus them into any part of her body to enhance any natural process e.i speed, strength, repair. It has it’s drawbacks *see Weakness*
*Techno manipulation (limited)
*Nanite Armor/Protection (limited)
Image
Skills:
Gunslinger
Vehicular Mechanics
Martial Arts/Hand to Hand combat
Equipment: Her motorcycle. Warning, Don’t even look at it.

Weapons:Guns of many types however her favorite is her .357 Magnum.

Weakness(es): The Nanites are currently fighting for dominance in Lolly’s body. The more she uses them the more they control her, driving her mad. She tends to claw manically at herself and has yet to find a way to calm herself down before either throwing her head against the wall, or somehow rending herself unconscious.
During this time, she can be hacked, and reprogrammed and one well placed EMP and she can be “shut down”.
When they start to take control, her eyes start to bleed.

History

Biography: Lolly was a rather peculiar girl. Raised by a single father, who didn’t really know what to do with a little girl, and a criminal in his own right. He decided then he’d raised her like she was a boy. He taught her how to defend herself as best he could, a few martial arts lessons here and there, he taught her how to fix and steal cars and bikes but what really stuck was when he taught her how to shoot. She was scary good, even at a young age. A gun slinging protégée, if there were such a thing. She was almost scary good at it.
It didn’t make her a lot of friends in school, most kids didn’t even know what a Magnum even was let alone how to use it. And it didn’t help that when she got older, she grew into her looks. She was a beauty and everyone knew it. It was around that time that she found her love of dance, dreams of being a professional dancer, made her too many male friends. Her father was very glad he taught her how to use a gun by then. Image
Things were rather uneventful for a few years until her father got sick. Cancer. When he was diagnosed, it was as if they both got it. After a while, her father couldn’t work, so Lolly took up odd jobs here and there, until finally, she couldn’t juggle them all. Down on her luck and her father’s medical bills shooting sky high, Lolly went to work at the one place she knew being pretty and knowing how to dance would get her a great deal of money, in a short amount of time.
She went to work at Leather and Lace, a strip joint in the badlands. She cried the first night but after awhile she managed to swallow her emotions and do what she had to for her father. It wasn’t the best thing in the world but she managed until that faithful night. Image
It was a good day that day, she made a lot of money, and had been walking to her bike, her father’s old Harley. It was big and loud, very much a guy’s bike. She was fishing for her keys when a group of men screeched up on in a black van, and snatched her from the street. In the badlands, she could have made better use of her time, river dancing for all the good that her struggling and screaming did. She didn’t have enough time to get her gun, as they chloroformed her, shortly after grabbing her.
When she woke up, she was in a cell, her entire body ached and she felt like something crawling in her skin. In a panic, she began clawing at her skin, her nails ripping through the flesh, only for them to slowly heal, without so much as a scab.
She was approached by a man, then, whose name she never received. She’s only ever heard him addressed as “Sir.” He told her what was going on. She’d been kidnapped and taken to a lab outside of the city for experimentation. She’d been in a medical induced coma, and still should have been until the programming was finished, though something went wrong. When she asked him why her, he said it was because she was a no named whore that no one would miss.
Something in Lolly’s head snapped and she lunged at the man, but was stopped midway but just barely. He then told her she’d been injected with nanites that were grafting to her bones, and blood and she was under their control. He left shortly after that.
He was only half right. The nanites in her body had begun learning; they overrode the control safety and left Lolly free to do whatever she pleased.
In this case was escape. It wasn’t an easy escape either, as she was faced with guards, security and other scientists. She found other though that she was stronger and faster then she ever was. She managed to disarm and put down four guards before escaping into the night. Image
Cold, alone and dressed in only a hospital gown, she walked, and walked, until she found herself back in the badlands. Her luck didn’t stop there as she was then approached by a couple of drunks. Thinking her an easy score, She made short work of most of them until one shot her in the chest. The nanties spit out the bullet and healed her wounds but then they tried taking over for the first time. Her eyes begun to bleed, and she began shaking violently and she began to claw at herself, the madness overwhelmed her until she stumbled backwards, her head hitting the ground hard, rendering her unconscious.

So begins...

Everything ached.
At first, that was the only thing keeping her tethered to reality. If she wasn't in pain, she was dreaming, if she was, she was awake.

Now, she knew she was fully conscious, it probably helped to have thousands of voices speaking to her at once, telling her to wake up. Nanites, tiny annoying little computers that turned her into veritable killing machine, they liked to make her kill, a lot.

{ THREAT DETECTED} the voices called. Lola shot up from the bed she'd managed to pass out into the night before. The morning sun was peeking into the window blinds, and even still the sky was dark and grey, with a thick overcast as if rain was on it's way. There wouldn't be any rain, it was just dark, perpetual night, as was life in the badlands.

"From where?"

{SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST} Lola turned behind her, only seeing a large wall with a cheap painting on it.
Image
"Um, Can't see---Ah Shit."

Suddenly, Lola's eyes dilated, as light poured in and then the colors in her vision changed, to blacks, blues and whites.

"A warning would be nice..." She huffed even though she thought X-Ray was pretty cool. She could see through the motel rooms and saw the TACT team moving up the stairwell on the outside.

Lola sighed. She just wanted peace, she didn't know why they took her, the nanties did, but they weren't really the sharing type.
She climbed off of the bed, and dressed quickly.
Image
"How long before the find me?" she asked as she slid on dark jeans over her tawny brown legs. She'd slept in her bra and panties and seriously wished she hadn't.
{T-MINUS ONE MINUTE}

"How many of them are there?" She asked, tugging on her blue tank top, and leather jacket. She combed through her hair, pulling it from the jacket, as she slipped into her boots.

{THREAT ASSESSED.....10}

"Oo, they are learning....Exits?" She grabbed the gun she'd acquired during her escape out from under her pillow and checked the clip. She had enough for each of them, and now, she never missed.

{LEFT} She turned to see the window and the 10 foot drop that came with it.

"Alright, I don't have to kill anybody today, might break my ankle, nice change of pace." She said, as she opened the window, and took a hold of the seal. She took a breath and tossed herself from the window, and landed hard on the asphalt of the parking lot below.

Not even a stitch of pain in her leg.

"Alright, which way," She asked, as she looked around and then thought. "Wait, how'd they find me?"

{....THIRD DOOR TO THE RIGHT}

"What...You didn't answer the question?" She spat, knowing that she looked like a crazy person. "How did they find me?"

She asked again, and the nanties said nothing. "Son of a...." She turned, looking at the row of doors of the motel.

She found the third door and realized.

"Who's in there?"

{ASSISTANCE}
Lola sighed. "You are assholes, you know that...."

{NEGATIVE....}

"Oh shut up..." She huffed as she stormed off toward the third door. She banged on the door.

"And to whom will I be addressing?"

{AARON MAXSON....FORMER OLYMPUS AGENT...}

"Former? I like the sound of that." She said before waiting, albeit impatiently for him to answer the door.

What a wonderful world. At least, that's what the raspy voice being piped into his ears was saying. He wasn't sure he entirely agreed, as he lifted his hand to block out the paltry rays of sunlight struggling to filter through tattered hangings. He sat up in bed, rubbing his shaved head, blue eyes casting about to see where that infernal pinging was coming from. Oh, yes. It was coming from his device, same as his music. Ah, technology. As he casually moved a finger over the screen of the device in front of him, he felt something in the bed with him.

He glanced out of the corner of his eye, spotting the nude brunette wrapped in the sheets like a cocoon. Right. That explained where the covers went. He accessed the camera feeds he had set up throughout the complex. He stayed there fairly often, and it was his prerogative to know who came and went. Someone tripping his motion detectors and banging on his door, now it was most certainly his business. Zooming in on the figure, he suddenly became quite interested. It was a she, and perhaps most importantly, a very alluring she. A she he... recognized. Shit.

Raising an eyebrow, he groped for the half-finished glass of whiskey on his bedside table. It was five 'o clock somewhere, right? He frowned. Room temperature, oh well. At least it went down smooth. As she banged on the door again, he stood up slowly, stretching and yawning. He switched to a few other cameras, seeing that the surrounding area was clear. For the moment. He assumed something was coming. Her presence meant either she was here to kill him, or some shit was about to go down. He tapped on the screen, activating the intercom he'd installed outside the door.

"Would you stop banging so incessantly? Well, actually I might not mind that... I shall rephrase. Why the hell are you pounding on my door?"

As he spoke and awaited an answer, he was already multitasking. Switching between feeds, he found the TACT team. Isolating their search pattern was easy. They'd be dealt with easily, if it came to that. He dug out and gripped a loaded .45, the black steel finish glinting nicely in the morning light. It was more for show, really. He rarely resorted to guns, himself. He awaited an answer, watching the TACT team's progress, as well as her face for a tell.

Lola turned around as the door opened, having had banged on a few times, and was watching for the TACT team that was on it's way.

"Would you stop banging so incessantly? Well, actually I might not mind that... I shall rephrase. Why the hell are you pounding on my door?" Lola huffed as the voice rang out from an intercom.

What the hell? She thought this place was a motel. The nanties were eerily quiet on that but if he'd been here for a while, it would make some sort of sense that they picked up his location, which would explain why she was there too. The nanties just told her this place was a safe place to crash. It was...the previous night but they had motive.

Assholes...

She looked around for what she figured was a camera. She couldn't see through the door this time, the guy must have had it reinforced or the nanties were being dicks again, either could be true.

{INCOMING THREAT T-MINUS FOUR MINUTES....}

"Look, Aaron right, I've got tiny robots in my head, telling me, there's a TACT team headed this way, and your supposed to help me...or I'm supposed to help you, they weren't clear on that part, but either way, I really don't want to get shot again, so you either let me in, or I'm coming through this door. Make your choice we got four minutes..."

She figured she'd cut to the chase, they really didn't have time for the whos and the whats at the moment.

"You gonna let me in, they see me, we're both dead..." She said and the nanties produced and image for her to help get him to open up.

"I think I'm suppose to buy you a drink or something, or I just want one...." She said, getting antsy as she looked around

His voice came through the intercom, ringing in the hall for her to hear. However, infuriatingly it seemed as though he was talking to himself.

"This team. Not surface contractors... No, of course not. They wouldn't trust surfacers with this. Olympus in origin, but surely not." There was a pause, then, "Son of a bitch! IES. The gall, the unmitigated gall!"

His angry shouting finally aroused his brunette companion, who bolted upright with a sound of outrage.

"Jesus, shut up Maxy! Ugh. I've got such a hangover." Her voice rang out over the intercom, as Maxson had yet to cut it.
"That headache isn't from a hangover, babe. Incidentally, you owe me for a new headboard. Please refrain from calling me 'Maxy', we're not lovers." His terse reply came, as he continued to track the IES team on screen.
"Asshole." She muttered, slithering out of bed and stumbling into the bathroom.

Maxson finished tapping a few things on screen, and a flashing "Confirm" came up, awaiting final input. Scrolling away, he went back to the feed of the woman outside.

"You're still there? You precious little cinnamon bun, you're awfully persistent. I suppose if you want to see me that badly..." The door swung open, seemingly on its own, to allow her entrance. She would be greeted his undressed form. The only thing to be thankful for here is that he was facing away from her, and didn't seem to be concerned enough to turn and face her.

"Do shut the door once you're inside, will you? You're letting in a draft."

"This team. Not surface contractors... No, of course not. They wouldn't trust surfacers with this. Olympus in origin, but surely not." There was a pause, then, "Son of a bitch! IES. The gall, the unmitigated gall!"
Lola turned up her nose to the sound of the man's voice ringing through the intercom. What the fuck he was talking about she had no idea but she was fairly certain he wasn't talking to her.

"Jesus, shut up Maxy! Ugh. I've got such a hangover."A woman's voice and she sounded as if she were asleep up until a few moment's ago.

"That headache isn't from a hangover, babe. Incidentally, you owe me for a new headboard. Please refrain from calling me 'Maxy', we're not lovers."

Lola threw up her hands in exasperation.. "Unbelievable...." She huffed as she looked around her once again. They were down the three minutes and counting.
"Asshole." The woman replied and Lola rolled her eyes. She couldn't blame her for that comment.

"You're still there? You precious little cinnamon bun, you're awfully persistent. I suppose if you want to see me that badly..."

"Just open the damn do--" With that the door opened and Lola expected to see a person standing before her, and she got that for the most part.

"What. The. Fuck...." She groaned, as she turned away from his naked body.

"What did you all get me into?" She asked the nanties, not giving too shits about looking like a crazy person, with this joker around. She probably seemed sane.

"Do shut the door once you're inside, will you? You're letting in a draft." He said, and she set her jaw, and kicked the door shut with a swift backfoot.

"Get some clothes on, and call me cinnamon bun again, and I'll make the Dothraki look civil." She said, unable to deny the fact that he looked as if he walked right off of the set of Game of Thrones.

{THREAT INTERCEPT IN SIXTY SECONDS....}

"We gotta go, like now, unless you got enough guns for about 10 men in tactical gear." She said and pulled her own gun, as the woman she'd heard walked out of the bathroom.

"Sup, You might wanna go." She said to the woman, as she cocked her gun.

"We got thirty seconds now...."

Maxson smiled. Not that she could see it. He swiped the flashing "Confirm" prompt back onto his screen, and with a flourish, pressed it.

"I see trees of green. Red roses, too. I see them bloom, for me and you. And, I think to myself... what a wonderful world." Maxson sang. His voice was rather smooth, but the notes were punctuated by a sudden explosion outside. On screen, he watched the doors and walls besides the IES team suddenly detonate outwards. Wooden shrapnel was chased onwards by an expanding wave of pressure that knocked them from their feet. It was followed swiftly by a stampede of heat and fire washing over them.

The survivors' audio was being piped in over the device, their panicked screams and the howls of the wounded echoing inside the room.

"I see skies of blue and clouds of white. The bright blessed day and the dark sacred night. And, I think to myself. What a wonderful world!"

At that instant, the opposite side of the hall detonated. This time, the spectacular show left none of them standing. The surviving camera feed showed a smokey, ruined corridor. Flaming debris covered certain still forms, while others had been impaled by rather large splinters. Others still had just been crushed by the pressure of the explosions.

Perhaps most horrifically of all, Maxson turned to face her. He tossed the device to her, a disturbingly calm grin on his face.

"Problem solved, little cinnamon bun. Is that all you wanted? Oh, and would someone pass me my pants?"

Lola watched as he grandly pressed a button on his screen. She didn't know what was about to happen but she wasn't sure she was going to like it,

"I see trees of green. Red roses, too. I see them bloom, for me and you. And, I think to myself... what a wonderful world." Maxson sang. Suddenly, explosions rocked the building, the sounds of chaos erupted from the intercom, screams and shouts of pain sent a chill down her spine. Sure she'd killed her fair share of them, but she made their deaths quick. They were only doing their job, most of them anyway...or maybe that was just what was left of her humanity speaking.

"I see skies of blue and clouds of white. The bright blessed day and the dark sacred night. And, I think to myself. What a wonderful world!" He continued, and more explosions rocked the room.
Lola swallowed at the horrible display, and much to her concern, he had the sickest amount of calm on his face, as he tossed the device to her. She looked over the screen and saw the destruction. Bodies littered with wooden shrapnel, A few impaled with large pieces of debris, blood and smoke everywhere.

"Problem solved, little cinnamon bun. Is that all you wanted? Oh, and would someone pass me my pants?"

Lola turned up her nose. "Definitely Olympus, Why did you bring me here?" She asked, the nanites.

{THREAT NETURALIZED} Lola huffed. "You didn't answer the question." She hissed, ignoring him all together.

{ITEM LOCATED}
There was an ascending tone that rang in her head as she turned and before long, the tone beeped when she was looking in the right direction. She walked over to it and reached down.

"Are you kidding with this?" She huffed as she found his pants haphazardly crumpled on the floor. She grabbed them and tossed it to him. "Why am I here?"

{PROJECT TRICKSHOT>>>PRIME DIRECTIVE....INACTIVE..SECURITY PROTOCOL....ACTIVE...ASSET AARON MAXSON....OLYMPUS STATUS: ELIMINATE.}

Lola looked at him and wanted to scream.

"You mean you brought me here, cause we needed his help?" She asked,

{AFFIRMATIVE...THREAT NEUTRALIZED}

"Alright....." She said and sighed before looking back at Maxson.

"What now?"

{SLEEP MODE ACTIVATED} and with that the nanties powered down, and she was in full control of her body.

She uncocked her gun and slipped into her pants at her back.

"Well...I'm Lola....." She said with a shrug. "And Hungry, you got any food." SHe said walking toward what she thought was aa mini fridge.

Maxson pulled his pants on, buckling and zipping them up. He glanced towards the corner, where the brunette had cowered during the explosions.

"Snowflake, why are you still here? Go!" He said, flourishing a hand. She gave him a horrified look and rushed out. "There might be some takeout left in there, knock yourself out."

Maxson glanced about the room, gathering his boots and a flowing duster coat. He did a bit of a flair for the dramatic, and on the surface it served him well. Only years ago, he would have looked quite eccentric. That was no longer the case, and really it only made his job easier. It was quite simple to blend in, and his skill made him nearly invisible in a crowd. He paused, looking about the room.

"Son of a bitch! She took my shirt!" Grumbling, he moved over to the closet and removed the only other shirt he had in there. It was a simple black t-shirt, which he pulled on. "That was my favorite shirt..." He mumbled. He turned on Lola now, engaging her directly.

"Alright, cinnamon bun. Let's talk about your robot friends, because honestly they have no idea what the hell they're doing bringing you to me." He spoke as if he actually had a slight idea of what he was talking about. On the other hand, he always sounded like he thought he knew what he was talking about.

"I barely exist. Even within Olympus, I was a wraith made manifest to the people who knew me at best. Most of my files, no longer exist. Most of my past, no longer exists. My exploits do not exist. I exist only as a boogeyman. The Nanites have access to records from just before I fled Olympus, and those are the records I didn't bother to purge. Trust me, I was thorough, it's what I do. I'm telling you this to give you a chance to fuck off. If they knew who I was, they wouldn't have brought you to me."

"There might be some takeout left in there, knock yourself out." Lola opened the fridge and found there was some take out inside. She sniffed it and it smelled fine, but it was cold. If the nanites were awake, she would have be able to atleast heat it. She took a seat on top of the mini fridge as he looking around for something.

"Son of a bitch! She took my shirt!" He said and Lola snorted as she pulled the noodle from the box and dropped them into her mouth. "That was my favorite shirt..." He said and then turned to her. She looked at him without much expression beyond boredom.
"Alright, cinnamon bun. Let's talk about your robot friends, because honestly they have no idea what the hell they're doing bringing you to me." He said and she frowned a little and then shrugged.

"They know." Lola said, around a mouth full of food. "If you have the slightest digital footprint they'll find it and they did." She said tapping her skull. "Honestly though, if it were up to me, I would as you said, fuck off, because this wasn't my idea, those fuckers, I mean the big ones, at Olympus, they snatched me right off the street. I had plans, a life, that's over now." She said, trying not to let the emotion touch her voice but she heard it.
Image

"I don't know yet, why they thought I should come to you, we were both clearly fine on our own." she said, gesturing to the room.
"They aren't exactly forthcoming and right now, they're asleep." She said. She thought about once jumping off of the roof and see if that would wake them up but she didn't trust them yet, especially with them having about 80% control of her body, it was only her heart and brain that was hers and she knew she was losing that fight. The least she pissed them of the better.

She looked up at him, after setting down the box and wiping her hands on her thighs. "They thought this place was safe enough to sleep, so at least for now, you're stuck with me, whether I like it or not."

Maxson smiled when she mentioned the Nanites being able to find him. His smile looked a little too knowing to be just arrogance. It was quite unsettling, really. The smile never left his face as she spoke, as he folded up his device and placed it in a pocket. It was an odd thing. A near holographic interface on super thin material, compact and easily stowed. It was familiar, and yet it resembled nothing on the surface.

"The Nanites can only find what I let them find. They do the same job Intelligence personnel have done for decades, Cinnamon Bun. They just do it a whole lot faster. They found me because of the local network I had in place, communicating between my UCD and all my monitoring devices. IES likely found it, as well. I wanted it to be found. A few dead bodies every now and then... discourages them."

As he spoke, Maxson stuffed his gun into his waistband. He didn't bother sweeping the room. He knew he had everything he needed. He knew his gear worked. He knew what he would do if for reason it didn't. Everything was accounted for.

"Your Nanites are not omnipotent, as they would have you believe. They have weaknesses, shortcomings. One of which is their shutdown period. All that computing and enhancing they do sucks a lot of power. Believe it or not, it's hard to make a long lasting power source when the battery is smaller than a tic's pecker."

Maxson carefully checked outside the window, glancing once and mentally mapping everything he saw without fail. He was all human, but he was honed to the highest peaks he could reach in his field.

"Frankly, I use enhancing lightly because I see very little that needed improvement as far as you are concerned, Cinnamon Bun." He said with a grin, glancing her up and down before moving away and continuing. "Hurry and eat. If you intend to follow me and try to convince me to help you, best be ready to move. I figure we've got about one minute before IES sends in the backup team."

"Colorful...." Was Lola's comment.

"Frankly, I use enhancing lightly because I see very little that needed improvement as far as you are concerned, Cinnamon Bun."

Lola rolled her eyes. "Oh Welcome to Hell...." She scoffed at his comment. "Hurry and eat. If you intend to follow me and try to convince me to help you, best be ready to move. I figure we've got about one minute before IES sends in the backup team."

Lola huffed. "Yea, before we get to that." She said, and stood up. "They are grafted to my bones, brain, heart, and subsequently my blood. My Very DNA. Mr. I Know Everything....no, they aren't omnipotent, duh, but whatever they were working on before you left, Olympus I mean, they upgraded, the nanites that are in my brain, they are the ones sleeping, so I have little access to the memory they've collected and stored. They use my brain as a processor, or sorts, my heart, and all the electrical impulses in my brain, as an analog interface, if you will." She said and tapped her skull.

"But, everything else is still enhanced, inwardly, I was born this way." She said, gesturing to herself. "My point is, I believe, and I'll have nanties in my brain confirm this when they wake, but I believe, You're not here to help me, I'm here to help you." She said, and walked up to him, and took a hold of his face, with a hand.

"My name, is Lola, Lolly if you feel so inclined, Not Cinnamon Bun, are we clear?" She said, squeezing his jaw. "Lo-La." She said. "Say with me now, Lola."

"You seem to think you know more about the Nanites inside you than I do." He managed, though his words were a bit obstructed. "Do me a favor, Cin-na-min bun. I'm curious to see how much they know, how busy Olympus has been recovering my files. Demand that they tell you who I really am, once they've finished their beauty sleep."

The look of his eyes turned darkly sinister at these words. Their striking blue seemed to pierce right through her, utterly defiant and devoid of any concept of fear. He knew she could snap his neck like this. Hell, she could probably rip off his jaw and beat him to death with it, if she were so inclined. He could also kill her, albeit not anywhere as easily. If he made one mistake, took one split second too long, the nanites would wake up and make SURE she murdered him brutally. In all honesty, he didn't want to. He didn't want to even be near her. She was the closest thing to a regret he had.

The UCD in his pocket bleeped. Calmly, he unfolded it from his pocket and held it up to his face.

"Two teams, tactical insertion. Rolling heavy, Level 4 plate, full headgear. Unless you've got a rocket launcher hidden somewhere kinky, I suggest we get the hell out. Now."

"You seem to think you know more about the Nanites inside you than I do." Aaron managed around her pinched fingers. "Do me a favor, Cin-na-min bun. I'm curious to see how much they know, how busy Olympus has been recovering my files. Demand that they tell you who I really am, once they've finished their beauty sleep."
Clearly her new nickname wasn't going away anytime soon. She should be glad, it was better then Lollipop....That got old after puberty.
Lola snatched her hand away, watching his eyes darken. He knew who she was, or more correctly, he knew what she was. Tat made one of them, excluding the thousands of nanites crawling around her brain. She shivered at the thought. He then unfolded his device as it beeped, he held it up to his face while she watched.

"Two teams, tactical insertion. Rolling heavy, Level 4 plate, full headgear. Unless you've got a rocket launcher hidden somewhere kinky, I suggest we get the hell out. Now."

"Alright alright." She said, and tapped on her temple. "Guys, Wake up." She said but got nothing, They were really down for the count. She tapped a little harder, her fingers making a thumping sound on her head. She sighed, rolling her eyes. "Guys!" She said, and the smack herself in the back of her head, hard. It was dizzing, but it did the job.

{THREAT DETECTED>>>WARNING.....INTERCEPT IMMINENT.}

"Yea no shit, Intercept Imminent. What's the fastest way out of here?" She asked,

{CONFORTATION IMMINENT DEFENSIVE PROTOCOL ACTIVATED}
"What?! I wasn't talking to you anyway, Maxsy, Get us out of here."

Maxon managed a smile, rubbing his jaw where she had been gripping it so tightly. Wasting no more time, he moved swiftly to the door. Opening it, he made his way outside and around the corner, his duster swishing ridiculously. One would hope he didn't actually think he looked cool, and that he was just being eccentric. Although judging by the fact he was playing jazz again, eccentric might not be a far off bet.

Maxson trusted Lola to follow him. He still hadn't agreed to babysit her, so if she wanted his help getting out she'd need to keep up. He wasted no backwards glances as he skirted the edge of the motel. He knew the team would likely split into two smaller groups. One to secure the lot and another to drop in on his room. Chances were they were already prepping the breaching charges on the floor above. His charges had been prepped. He was always ready before the opposition.

He led them away from the front of the building. The open side of the lot would be a deathtrap. They weren't going to be checking out. Instead, he chased one team's heels. Sparing only one more glance at his UCD, he paused at the far corner and held up his hand for her to stop. He then counted down three seconds, resuming just as an explosion rocked the ground under their feet. It had came from his room, and indeed the screams of armored men reached their ears. Maxson smiled as if it were the sweetest symphony in the world.

No sooner had the rumbling subsided than Maxson struck out, going flat into a jog. He hit a dilapidated chain link fence at speed, hopping halfway up it and swiftly pulling himself over it and into the alley on the other side. He waited for her, tapping his foot. When she had joined him, they simply disappeared. Maxon led them through a couple of tight alleys and into the back of a rather smokey bar. The place wasn't marked, nor advertised. It was one of those places you simply had to know about.

"Escapes are always easy when you have high-explosives on your side. We'll need to lay low here for a few minutes, well I decide where you can go that you'll be safe. Then you can go on your merry way, Cinnamon."

He took her to the front of the bar, sitting on a stool and waving away the offer for a drink. The place stank of smoke, mixing with the rank scents of stale smoke, booze, and possibly vomit. It was better not to think too much about it. It certainly wasn't very charming, but what was in the city any more?

Lola shook her head at the chaos this man seem to love to ensue. It was insane just how many explosives he had and it was just as insane nad equally as distrubing to see how much he enjoyed it.
"Escapes are always easy when you have high-explosives on your side. We'll need to lay low here for a few minutes, well I decide where you can go that you'll be safe. Then you can go on your merry way, Cinnamon."

THey finally reached a back alley bar, smoke wafted through the air, along with the smell of booze, sweat, and sex.

Lola took a seat beside him at the bar and after waving for a drink, she turned to him.

"Alright, You clearly know more about me, then the nanties are willing to tell me, so spill it." She said. "You didn't seem at all surprised when I showed up at your door step talking about tiny robots, in fact, you seemed to already know about them, you play up this asshole act, but I can see in your eyes, you regret something, you try to hid it, but I can see it...."

She said looking at him. The nanties sharpened her vision, and hearing, his vitals appearing before her eyes, watching for lies.

"You know what happened to me, why I'm this way...explain to me." She told him, grabbing his arm, her grip wasn't hard, but if he so much as twitched, she'd have a vice grip on his arm he would not be happy with. " I need to know why my life had to end, Aaron and why became this...Explain to me, why I was snatched off the street, pumped full of nanites, and made to kill, while my father died, not knowing what happened to me...Why, Was it random, or did they choose me specifically and why does the nanites think you're the person I need to come to for these answers." She said, looking him in the eyes.

"No games, no feigning, just tell the truth, Please."

Maxson knew she was scanning him. Watching his vitals, trying to see if he was going to lie to her. There would be no obvious tell. This is what he did. Regardless, he had no intention of lying to her. He didn't intend to tell her the whole story, though.

"If you're looking for meaning in why you were picked, there is none, Cinnamon." Maxson said bluntly. There was no compassion in his words, only the hard truth she wanted. "You were picked almost at random, because nobody would miss you. They saw a beautiful woman with almost no family, who could could use her body in whatever way necessary to get what they needed."

Maxson gave her a few moments to digest that before he continued.

"You were selected because some nerd in analytics thought you were hot. Pretty girls with almost no connections have always been desirable subject. Honestly, we expected you to do crazy and die, like most of the other subjects. That the Nanites took so fast couldn't have been predicted. That's the only reason you're special. You were meant to be a slave, now you're a security risk. Welcome to the club, Cinnamon."

"If you're looking for meaning in why you were picked, there is none, Cinnamon." Aaron said simply and Lola wished she didn't feel hurt by that, but she did. She hoped there was a reason, a decent enough reason in order to make sense of it all. "You were picked almost at random, because nobody would miss you. They saw a beautiful woman with almost no family, who could could use her body in whatever way necessary to get what they needed." He said and she looked at the bar top, unable to look anywhere else. Her heart raced as she realized, she was just in the wrong place and the wrong time. It could have been any other girl, thousands of girls who worked in that club could have been chosen, but she happened to be the one that walked out of the door just in time. That's what 'Sir' said, she was a nothing nobody...

He said and she was about to say something having already died, and was long crazy until something he said struck her.

"We?" She said, looking at him with sharp disdain as realization settled over her face. " You were apart of the original project...That why you weren't freaked out, you were in on it," She said, and she could feel the nanite laced blood coursing through her veins in fury.

{SAFETY PROTOCOL INITIATED.....NOT A THREAT. DO NOT ATTACK...NOT A THREAT}

Lola felt her body relax in a way she wasn't sure she liked. She wanted to hit him, he was the only one she take this out on but the nanites seemed to be convince that he was not a threat to her, or them.

"Why him?" She asked with her jaw set, her eyes on Maxson.

{PRIME DIRECTIVE LOCATE AARON MAXSON....ERROR....INCOMPLETE....ERROR DIRECTIVE CODE CORRUPT...}
Lola frowned as the nanites seemed to freak out and then something struck her, she'd wait though, she wasn't entirely sure what this was about.
"Tell me everything, you owe me that...explain to me what the fuck I just happen to walk into?"

"You haven't pieced it together yet, Cinnamon? You're talking to the former head of IES." Maxson said, his eyes once more taking on their piercing quality. He could become so eerily serious on the drop of a hat, and it was the one thing about him that seemed genuine.

"I'm the ghost. I'm the boogeyman. I'm who they send to take the misbehaved children as they sleep, the monster under the bed. I'm you, Cinnamon. Only without the robots in my blood. I can kill in ways that would make your head spin, I even know how to kill you." His eyes flitted to the corner of the room, and then back to her face. There was a situation brewing, but it wasn't effecting them. Yet.

"I was in charge of the Nanite project. From a security standpoint, I was the most logical choice. I had no scientific value to the project, but they knew I could spot a weapon. That was the reasoning, anyway. It seemed solid at the time. Little did I know they were going to fuck me over from the beginning. Really, I should have seen it coming."

His eyes flickered to the corner again. He didn't like the looks the men were casting towards him and Lola. It was about time for them leave. They just needed another minute. His eyes went back to Lola's face, and for a minute, sadness could almost be seen behind them.

"So, yeah. I'm the one who ruined your life, Cinnamon. Yet, if I hadn't, I would be dead. Your escape got them off my trail long enough for me to disappear, for a short time. Long enough, as it were."

"You haven't pieced it together yet, Cinnamon? You're talking to the former head of IES." Maxson said, and Lola tensed. Former, sure, but still, he was in charge at one point. He was just as to blame as everyone else, and her earlier theory just proved more plausible then she first thought and now she knew what to do.

"I'm the ghost. I'm the boogeyman. I'm who they send to take the misbehaved children as they sleep, the monster under the bed. I'm you, Cinnamon. Only without the robots in my blood. I can kill in ways that would make your head spin, I even know how to kill you." He said, and she frowned She knew how to kill her too, only the nanites wouldn't let her get her hands on an EMP. That would have solved all her problems that night she escaped.

"I was in charge of the Nanite project. From a security standpoint, I was the most logical choice. I had no scientific value to the project, but they knew I could spot a weapon. That was the reasoning, anyway. It seemed solid at the time. Little did I know they were going to fuck me over from the beginning. Really, I should have seen it coming." He said, and she watched his eyes become focused behind her. It wasn't the first time, but at this point she didn't care. She didn't want to fight anymore, she didn't want to be this anymore. She had to admit, she was hoping he was like her, an experiment gone wrong, she'd hoped she actually had -as much of an asshole as he seemed to be- a friend in the world. There were no friends in the badlands, hope was a figment of the imagination, a reality escape for those who couldn't handle the truth. There was no destiny, just a string of choice after choice and she seemed to make all the wrong ones.

"So, yeah. I'm the one who ruined your life, Cinnamon. Yet, if I hadn't, I would be dead. Your escape got them off my trail long enough for me to disappear, for a short time. Long enough, as it were."

He said, and she thought she saw a flicker of sadness in his eyes. Was that regret? It was her life, or his and he choose his with the hope that she wouldn't live long enough to suffer.

She could understand that....if she were in a better mood.

"Well, it looks like we both drew the short straw." She said, and pulled her hand away and slid off of the barstool.
She said, and pulled her weapon and aimed it at his head. The men behind her turned, watching her, drawing their weapons, she drew back the hammer with a thumb.
"You were careful, but they knew you couldn't turned down pretty girl." She said, ruefully. "All I had to do was bat a few lashes, whimper a bit, look sad, and I had you." She said. "It didn't take much. Damsel in distress, it always works on the morally confused." She said, " Guess that's why they grabbed a stripper, they knew I could con you right out of your pants if I wanted. We know how flirt, without thinking and oh my god, the sympathy card, I could have lead with that, and we would have had you at the motel, but the bombs, they were a nice touch." She said, with a shrug and touched the gun to his forehead.

"No matter, They knew you'd feel bad, they knew you'd want to help, even if you pretended not to, another person fucked over by Olympus and you're moral conflict made it so easy for me to slip right into your guard." She told him with a wicked grin. "and you know what else you didn't see coming..." She leaned in, moving the gun to the side of his head." I was sent here to kill you." She said and then pressed a kiss to his temple and whispered, "It's a good thing the download didn't complete, or you'd be as fucked as these guys." She said, and with that, she spun, sat in Aaron's lap aimed and fired, 10 men, all plain clothed but wearing body armor, had been watching, all Olympus and all with a pretty bullet in their skulls for their trouble, and she aimed at the bartender, who held up his hands once the bodies hit the ground. She stood up from his lap and rolled her shoulders. "Whoo, What a rush."
Image
She said, with a smirk on her full lips while still holding the gun to the bartender but looking at Aaron. "C'mon, Guys, get my baby please?"

{SENDING VEHICLE NOW.....ACQUIRING ROUTE TO SAFE HOUSE}

"Awesome." She said, and looked down at Aaron. "Oh yea, I forgot." She said and looked to the barkeep. " Scotch please, the bottle, We're kinda a hurry." She said with a smile and the shaken barkeep grabbed the bottle and handed it to her. "Aright, now, be a dear and head into the backroom, wait exact 7.6 minutes before coming out and after that you need to be gone in about 10.7, or their friends, will take it out on you, Kay?" She said with a perky smile and handed him the bottle. "Told you, I had to get you a drink." She said and waved him on with the gun before slipping it into her pants and walking out of the door of the bar. It was then that a sleek motorcycle pulled up, the hologram with the female figure on it, disappeared and Lola climbed on. "You must be confused, I'll explain it all when we get their. Hop on, and watch where you put your hands." She said with a wink, as she slid on her shades.

"You coming or what?" She asked as the engine revved.

Maxson's face had remained passive throughout her entire show. So had his heartbeat, in fact. His vitals barely registered an uptick. He didn't say anything, for once. As he seated himself behind her, he didn't really need to. His face said everything. He still looked like he was in control, as if he had one finger on the pulse of every move she made, before she made it. He looked like he was bored. In truth, he was. Guns bored him. Little bang-bangs didn't have quite the same orgasmic rush as plastic explosives.

He let her take him where she was going to go. He didn't speak, rather he sang under his breath. During the moments the sound of the engine and the rushing wind weren't cutting him off, his tone was smooth and even. A deep baritone. Almost soothing. His implied arrogance really was maddening, yet now there was a light of sincerity to him. He had seemed genuinely sorry he'd fucked her life over. Was he really, though? Could she be sure? Everything he did was so measured, every move it seemed like he saw it coming.

Yet, he was here. He was doing as she wanted. He wondered exactly why he was here, on the back of her bike, knowing what he knew. He could kill her. He could kill them both, right now. Disable her nanites, send them both toppling into the pavement at high speed. Then both their nightmares would be over, a memory lost in a red smear across neglected blacktop. The idea didn't appeal to him, and he wasn't sure why. He sure as hell had no love for life. Its little pleasures, sure, but not life itself. Was he afraid to die? Was he afraid of there being something else, after death? A place his hubris, his... charade, wouldn't be help him? He frowned, and kept singing. These thoughts made him want to drink.
